gay sex would fix icarus morningstar (as explained well by both myself and corn), however i don't think gay sex would fix david centross mistvale - so hypothetically prison duo having gay sex would just equal balance (funny cause centross ends up being the god of bala- yeah ill shut up) therefore wouldn't fix anything, but it also wouldn't make anything worse. (however, noticeably, a *lack* of gay sex did make icarus morningstar worse, so take that as you will.) hypothetically. if they did have gay sex about it. (/..hj? /i don't know what in the world this post is but I'm right and you know it- (/hj /lh))

Controversial opinion: I don't like Stolas and I don't want stolitz to become a relationship
Neither of them are 100% in the right, I know that, this isn't because I love Blitz, I don't really care, but Stolas has always got on my nerves. First he makes a sex deal with a guy while he can clearly see he's running for his life and not into it. The deal is the only way Blitz can do his job, that's sexual coercion! Don't believe me? Here's the definition:
"Sexual coercion is unwanted sexual activity that happens when you are pressured, tricked, threatened, or forced in a nonphysical way. Coercion can make you think you owe sex to someone. It might be from someone who has power over you, like a teacher, landlord, or a boss."
Stolas doesn't see it this way but in the beginning of course blitz did and why wouldn't he? It doesn't matter if it was consensual, Stolas has power over him so he'd assume he owes it, he even shows this mindset in full moon where he thinks Stolas is taking the book because he wasn't satisfying him.
Stolas was constantly calling him degrading names too "my little imp" -murder family "my little impish plaything" -truth seekers "itty bitty imps like yourself" -harvest festival(? Don't remember the title) "little creatures" -looloo land. The argument is he didn't mean it as an insult and that's true, he didn't even mean the deal as manipulation, but that doesn't change how it made blitz feel, blitz isn't the type to open up to someone and say 'hey that hurts my feelings ' if stolas really liked him he should have noticed the reactions. He hates it every time, pushing away, changing the subject, you can't be that stupid. You can say stolas was raised this way and yes he was but again how is that blitz's problem? He can be treated disrespectfully because stolas has a shitty parent? So did he.
Let's not forget how he acted at Ozzie's too, when he was called out for being on a date with an imp he hid behind his menu like blitz is an embarrassment, he publicly humiliated him instead of taking up for him, hence why Ozzie and fizz are so much better, they would never. And then Stolas is all sad like "why didn't he wanna cuddle? :(" idk maybe because you reinforced he's worthless in public
And then it's revealed they haven't been doing their deal for a while because stolas feels guilty and it's about time, he should have realized forcing someone to have sex with you to do their job is wrong immediately. When he tells blitz he does it in the worst way possible, he doesn't fully explain why he's taking the book first and that makes blitz panic, and then all the sudden he's confessing his love, what did he think would happen?
They have this huge argument where people say stolas has a trauma response from yelling even though he's never flinched at Stella and wasn't afraid of her, every time she yelled or threw something he just looked dead inside instead of frightened, that's a normal response too, what I'm saying is in that moment he wasn't afraid of blitz at all and even if he was how is that blitz's fault? It was an impulsive reaction not a planned thing to play on someone's trauma
"I think so highly of you, I didn't know you thought so low of me" Stolas says crying, how? And it's not thinking low, it's thinking you think so low, "treating me like one of your little imp servants" he was?? If someone is telling you you did something that hurt them you should apologize instead of making it about yourself, save your crying for when you apologize like "oh my God i did that? I'm so sorry, i didn't mean to, I don't look down on you I promise, I didn't realize " and boom we're slightly better!
"When have I ever looked down on you?" Everything before the deal break where you suddenly try to be better without apologizing and blitz doesn't understand, and the thing about blitz abandoning him with striker, he says blitz sounds like striker, don't do that wtf, you're making someone for guilty for taking their daughter to the doctor? Not everyone is a shitty dad who uses their child as an excuse to sexually and publicity flirt with the guy you're cheating on her mom with. You do not get to make him feel guilty for sending his work to do it while he comforts his scared child
Stolas refuses to acknowledge his own faults aside from the one with the deal, there's too much damage between to be a proper relationship, they shouldn't be endgame but you just know they will be somehow

Hi, I read your monster au posts and they are amazing. Though I was wondering what would Rollo be and how would he handle there being a magicless human given his attitude in canon, as well as how would GloMas go down with Yuu and Mini!Yuu in that au?
Tumblr media
So, I’d been holding off on answering this for Rollo until I had a better grasp on his personality and behavior, as deciding the monster/cryptid species that fits best is important. But since the Glorious Masquerade is coming to the ENG servers tomorrow (I’m not ready!!!), it feels like the right time to introduce him into the Monster!AU!
Also, as for whether or not RSA has seen Yuu/mini!Yuu, I think at least Che'nya and Neige and the dwarves have seen them yes! Outside of those, I leave that up to you/whatever direction the game takes us down next! And thank you so much, I'm glad everyone loves the AU's ;;v;;
To answer the question, I decided to base him off the French (and coincidentally Louisiana) cryptid “feu follet”, otherwise known as a Will-o’-the-wisp. Why did I choose this versus creatures like the “Beast of Gévaudan” or the “Gaueco” which will make him a fluffy canine monster? Well, while I think both would be interesting concepts to work with, neither of them really seem to fit the vibe I got from him as he’s portrayed in the beginning (…well, before chaos as usual hits the fan of course). Plus, it was also an interesting excuse to delve into more of the non-animal based ones besides Ortho being a golem!
WARNING: SOME SPOILERS AHEAD AND MENTION OF DEATH BASED ON THE MYTHOLOGY OF THE FEU FOLLET/WILL-O’-THE-WISP!
Anyway, I picture him being more of a feu follet/Will-o’-the-wisp as a call to his UM “Dark Fire” and his last name Flamme, which translates to “flame” in French. Hence, as a “ghost light”, it seemed more fitting! Feu follets are said to come in various shades of blue, yellow, red, and even green—now imagine him changing color based on his emotions and having to control that side in public! His poker face means nothing behind that handkerchief if he turns colors! 😂 (Especially if you keep in mind color theory!)
While they’re also generally harmless, however, if you’re familiar with the legend of Will-‘o-the-wisps (which has multiple different variations and stories across the world!), following one at night thinking it’s a fellow traveler can lead to one’s death in a marsh, bog, swamp, etc. Typically, they’re seen in a graveyard or one of the above-mentioned areas. Since no one knew how dangerous Rollo was until it was too late, it seemed fitting for him to be one!
By the way, he can be corporeal to handle things or be hugged by someone. He can also phase through things he wants to avoid…now imagine his hat getting caught between the fence bars! 🤣🤣🤣
With that out of the way, let’s discuss his reaction to Yuu and mini!Yuu!
Given that he’s more comfortable with non-magic users, he’d be fascinated and charmed at the thought of humans—creatures of historic legend and cryptic bedtime stories—being non-magic. A world where magic doesn’t exist and no one will be consumed by blot or harmed by spells gone awry? He’d likely want to know more, but he wouldn’t want to get too close—after all, he’s not exactly keen on making friends or showing a vulnerable side. Yuu is gonna have their work cut out for them if they want to give him pets and scritches! Their best bet is in private where he’s less likely to react so strongly (though if he learns that getting the majority of Yuu’s attention is enough to annoy Malleus and the others, I can see him being smug about it and letting them praise him 😌).
As for mini!Yuu though…
Mini!Yuu: *toddling around the room, giggling as they support the large puffy cap on their head*
Azul: “Where did you get that, little one?”
Mini!Yuu: “Mr. Rollo dropped it and let me wear it!” *adjusts the cap with one hand to try and look up at them before bumping into Deuce’s leg* “Oof!”
Deuce: “Oop! Careful, Yuu!”
Riddle: “I’m surprised he allowed you to wear it given his position as Student Council President.”
/Meanwhile/
Vice President: “Uh…President Rollo? Where is your cap?”
Rollo: *holding handkerchief to his mouth* “Yuu wanted to know how heavy it was.”
Vice President: “Y-you’ve never let yourself be out of uniform!” *gets emotional* “But you’re allowing the human child to wear it…that is so precious!”
Rollo: *scowls, his wisp body turning reddish-pink in embarrassment*
///////////
Pfft…I just couldn’t resist a bit of cuteness~! UvU/)
As for how the whole event would go down…well, I can imagine that Rollo would believe he’s doing the right thing, so him possibly trying to separate Yuu from the others using the flowers would be even more terrifying! For mini!Yuu, the whole situation would be absolutely terrifying for the toddler since I doubt the others would have let them come with them to stop Rollo. So, the boys would likely leave them with Grandpa Trein for safety until the whole situation is done and over with.
Once all is said and done, it’s really up to Yuu to decide how they see Rollo after the fact. As for mini!Yuu? Whether they find out it was started because of him or the boys kept it under wraps just like everyone else in NBC being ignorant of what happened, they might just be happy to see he’s okay. Now imagine him dancing with mini!Yuu at the end of the event like Charlotte with Prince Naveen’s younger brother from Princess and the Frog!

i know you just tend to lurk (me too) but your fandomised rhaegar thoughts are very validating lol. ive always thought blue roses are symbolic of a child born from love, not symbolic of a woman. like lyanna has the roses cause she's jon's mother and rhaegar's love, not because they're her "thing"? never thought that was far fetched til coming online lmao.
OK, this was in my drafts for like a decade.
The roses aren't really the child or the woman, but a representation of the (tragic, but bittersweet) love itself. Though, of course, Jon as the "fruit"/"proof" of it is still at the centre of it all.
Used to hate the concept of "tragedy" and not understand how that can be compelling/satisfying. Turns out a lot of tragedy is badly done, hence the feeling of meaningless/pointlessness of it all some of them give you. Look at HOTD. The problem with the writing is that everything is made meaningless, not that your "favourite" isn't winning everything. It is the fact that it's all bitter and no sweet at the end of the day. (Not the book version, which is also a matter of how much better ASOIAF handles the "continuation" of the tragedy better than GOT).
I see Rhaelya as a representation of the concept: "The love was there. It didn't save anyone, it didn't change anything, but the love was there."
Once you get to look at it like that, it becomes very annoying when people in the fandom sound like a broken record of "what's nice about this?? EveRYoNE dIeS". Yeah, that's how tragedies work, but look at it as such and you'll see the nice, too.
It's not about how "oh, why would you think the author is trying to paint Romeo and Juliet as a romance when he liked Rosaline before, and now suddenly her overnight?"/"oh, it's all about how they are dumb teenagers messing up"/"oh, isn't Orpheus the dumbest for turning round".
Romeo and Juliet are young people finding a shiny thing in a shitty society that creates generational cycles of pain and hate for stupid reasons. The ending is satisfying not because the love is successful but because the characters - and readers are meant to - finally get that. Orpheus turns round because he loves Eurydice and if you did you would, too.
Westeros is a hellscape of ambition, heartlessness, and corruption. Everyone is stabbing everyone's back for a bit more of land, a bit more of wealth, a bit more political influence. Selling and pawning their loved ones for a corn chip. (Controversial opinion, neither Elia or Lyanna should have been in that position, but that's the reason why, "loving families" and all. Even more Controversial, Rhaegar shouldn't have been in that position also. And that's the "good" people - as Controversial as people might think that statement is for Rhaegar. But also OH, you mean selling off Cersei didn't work out well cause she was meant to be a pretty object and didn't have to be taught about armies and resources, just vanity? Or Lysa for some reason wasn't all that grateful to papa to give armies to the great alliance when they needed them, for reasons of keeping the one "trueborn child" she had sheltered, cause that's the one thing you promised her she could get if she did your bidding?) Looking away from what is fair when it is "lawful" according to the status quo (and fandom finds it easy to pinpoint it when it's someone deemed hateworthy, but will be 1000% lenient towards a Ned Stark, and will even hold characters they hate accountable when putting FAIRNESS ABOVE LAW).
And the thing about ASOIAF fandom is THEY LOVE THIS SHIT. They love to romanticise it all. But there's the paradox of it all. Romanticising comes with this idea of unrealistic wistfulness, I guess. If a character lives in "the cruel real world", the romanticised ideal is nice to think about. If they actually reach for ideals, they are fools who should get real about living in the "cruel real world".
Oop, I ventured far from the point. But I just love the whole CONCEPT of the blue rose at its roots. 💙 It literally means just that at its roots. Something wistful but unattainable.

Angsty question- feel free to ignore if you want.
Historically, dads yelling has always been a very not-good sound. Especially to girls.
What happened the first time Steve or Eddie (or both) yelled? Not even at the girls; it could’ve been a heated argument they were having.
How old were the girls? What did they do? How did Steve and Eddie feel? What did they do?
oooh okay i definitely took my time mulling over this one bc i wanna make sure i’m getting my wording right
(and reading this back i’m realizing i kind of don’t really answer your actual question hope that’s okay lol)
I think a really important facet of this is that (in this ‘verse) Steve is a licensed and practicing trauma counselor. Not only does he know how harmful (and counter-productive) yelling can be, he also knows all sorts of other methods for communication that are just better.
It’s not that the girls don’t ever piss him off or do stupid shit and get in trouble – he just knows way more effective ways to get them to realize oh shit, I fucked up than by yelling at them.
(I think if anything, he could be a stress-yeller, but by the time he and Eddie start fostering kids, he’s been through so much shit that he doesn’t really ever hit that stress threshold anymore).
And then, I think with Eddie, he’s still as dramatic as ever even in middle-aged adulthood, and I think he gets loud about things pretty much regardless of the emotion behind it, so the girls aren’t super phased by it if/when he does get loud from a place of anger or frustration. I also feel like Eddie tends to defer to Steve when it comes to the heavier parts of parenthood, precisely because he knows that Steve is coming at it from a place of clinical expertise in a way that he himself isn’t. Steve isn’t a yeller, so neither is Eddie. Maybe if Steve had been more inclined to yell, Eddie would be too.
Same thing applies with Steve and Eddie’s communication with each other – they don’t really get into screaming matches over shit, but when they do argue or have disagreements or conflict or whatever, they get mean, and I think this is where there could be some problems.
Like, they can throw some serious barbs at each other when they want to (and they’ve known each other for a long time so they’ve got plenty of ammo), and when the girls are little, it’s easy to forget in the heat of the moment that they actually can understand what their dads are saying.
Hence why, a few hours after an argument (about nothing – they were just both in pissy moods at the same time, and with Hazel not even five months old yet they’re not really getting much sleep which doesn’t help things at all), Steve finds three-year-old Robbie crying in her room, and when he asks her what’s wrong, she whimpers, “Moe said you and Daddy are gonna get a divorce.”
And, fuck, Moe is only six, and Steve didn’t know that she even knew what divorce was (though it’s possible he and Eddie had gossiped a little too close to the sun about one of their neighbors’ divorce earlier that same week, so maybe that one's on them), and the notion that her brain had been able to make that connection from the things she'd heard earlier had Steve feeling like the worst guy on the planet.
Then, when they sat down with the older two girls to make sure they knew that everything was fine and no one was getting divorced, it only got worse because Moe started repeating back to them the shitty things they had said to each other, and there’s a special kind of shame in hearing word-for-word the vitriol he’d directed at Eddie – who he loves; no argument could ever change that – coming out of his kindergartener’s mouth.
Yeah, so anyways, I don’t really think yelling would necessarily be an issue with them, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some real flaws in their communication that stick with the girls.

Whats this? I finally gave in and made a Destiny 2 DBH au? Yeah. I did. (Ima call it D2+DBH for short)
Bits of the designs (mostly Connor) are inspired by @ygreczed-3 ‘s TRGATSA au which I think is super cool (big fan of magic stuffs) thank you again for letting me use your design as inspo!
ANYWAY the idea is that everything is the same except the fact that Exos look like Androids. Exos creation by the darkness and Bray’s nonsense is still part of it (considering making Kamski as Bray, but i haven’t fully thought of it since who would be Elizabeth and all that yknow) so this au isnt very planned out yet, it was just mostly because I wanted to make Connor and Nines into some warlocks (I WILL MAKE MARKUS AND KARA AND THE WHOLE SHABANG LATER) so yeah the way Exos work in this is instead of just how fully and properly is in Destiny, Exos in this au work the same way as original, but they all have specific models instead of the different variety like in the game. So there would be lots of people who look the exact same because they are Exos, of course hair colour and eyes and such are different but overall theyre the same. So, say Kara right? AX400, thats one of the models, and thats what she looks like. Theres alot of other people who look like her, just like how in original DBH theres alot of her model. And the D2+DBH au Exo models, unlike the proper Destiny 2 Exos, were built with specific purposes, and Bray (Kamski..?) selected the person right before turning them into an Exo to see what model they’d fit best
Example, Kara was a simple woman who didnt come from a good family, so she left it to volunteer for Bray’s Exo experiment. Bray saw that she was nothing but a simple woman, and made her the average AX400 model. Simple. Just like her
Connor and Nines were friends when they both decided to volunteer for Bray’s experiment. They went by different names at the time, but neither of them in the present can remember anything. (Connor as a human being name Bryan would be kinda funny, and Nines would be Richard when he was human) Connor and Nines were part of the RK line, Bray made them specifically for helping humans with “detective” work and such so their pre-programmed minds are more intricate and aware, but with the Vex invasion at Bray’s Exoscience facility, they had to fight alongside Myrmidon’s, Trojan’s, TR400’s, TW400’s and WB400’s and a bunch of others as extra support. Hence why their numbers are 51 and 87. Thats alot of times to be reset. They remember nothing of their friendship. Or even eachothers existence. And when Connor woke up (previously 50, now awaken as 51) he was a guardian. Later on Nines will follow up and join the guardian crew (little funnies, Nine actually woke up as a guardian on his 86th reset, but he messed with some Fallen by accident and they learned to reset him, making him new again just as he was beginning to learn the light properly. His Ghost was not happy about it) Connor and Nines meet at the Tower and because theres not many RK models walking around (especially since most of them died during the multiple wars and their bodies were used up during the Vex attack at Bray’s facility) they easily noticed eachother like “oh my god, another me model, that’s something you dont see everyday” and it seemed they clicked easily like old friends. (I wonder why hmmmm)
Thats all I got for now. To the folks that know nothing of Destiny, or know nothing of Detroit Become Human, feel free to ask me. I know all i said probably sounded like nonsense to the other if you didnt know what even one side of the content was. Have a good day
I hope to be able to explain this better in the future, because this probably was frustrating for you to read with my bad explanation :(

Rereading that noncon Ghoap puppy walk fic bc it makes me go insane. And I have so many questions. How can Johnny even breathe? What did they do beforehand that the others just immediately incorporate it into their routine? Did Gaz encounter puppy!Soap before? What are Price and Gaz thoughts on all this (Bc fuck, their commentary killed me - asking about belly rubs and giving advise on punishment)? Do they think this is completely consensual? Or do they suspect that there is more going on? Do they hope that there is more going on? Are they getting off on the thought of participating even in the smallest of ways in breaking down Soap? If ever Soap got his brains together enough to ask for help, would they give it to him or would they push him to his knees and take him like they always dreamed of doing and then return him to Ghost?
ahhh day 11 kinktober. my longest and least popular drabble from that month LMAO. tysm for asking about it!
i actually mapped quite a bit of that fic out in my head! but because it's entirely from soap's perspective, there are questions that you just can't answer yk?
first of all - it's pure erotica, so it exists in that kind of limbo that all semi-public/public erotica exists in - you've got to suspend your disbelief a bit, just for the sake of horniness lmao
1 - johnny can breathe (through his nose, because the hood isn't sealed shut), but not well. he's breathing heavily throughout the entire fic because of both his panic and the fact that he can only breathe through his nose
2 - i think i said this in another ask but! it was supposed to be that when ghost left johnny tied up at the beginning of the fic, he was going around and making sure only certain people were on base (hence price asking why he didn't come sign his paperwork). no rookies, since they could potentially lose all respect for soap, and no people who he knew were going to be shitty about it. the people he was okay with seeing johnny, he'd go up and say basically "i'm going to be doing public kink here later. either go or don't complain later". there probably aren't all that many people actually still on base, just lots of people looping around the building to watch
3 - gaz has probably caught the Vibe before, just from the way that ghost treats soap (and neither of them are subtle). price probably knows the extent of it just because he's their captain and he knows everything about all of them, but he's content to let them be. also gaz is probably just a kinky as them lmao, he doesn't care
4 - im soooo mixed on the "do price and gaz know it's not entirely consensual" thing. my gut says that price knows that ghost is manipulating soap, and gaz suspects. i think gaz might get a little worried, try and ask soap about it, and be mollified when soap near aggressively defends ghost. but price? he knows everything about them, doesn't he? but i think price also knows that sometimes the best thing for someone isn't always the nicest... and soap seems better with ghost, seems better after his training. as long as ghost isn't destroying him, he'll let them be
(i looooved their commentary too. i very very rarely dabble in public humiliation, and it's got to be sooo specific for it to work for me, but i love it in that fic)
5 - they both 100000% get off on being involved. if they didn't, they'd step back a bit. price is always gonna get off on being in control (and im a big fan of some light priceghost... maybe price taught ghost how to control a wild boy, and he enjoys watching his student grow into a master) and i think gaz is probably kinda into puppy play himself lmao, he's just there to get hard and have fun
i think if soap went to price for help, he'd get his mouth fucked, his ass whipped with a belt, and get locked in his cage until ghost got back. but im really not sure about gaz....
part of me says gaz is a sweetheart, he'd help soap. i could see him taking soap to price for help, and then the above following (right after price "explains" what soap needs to gaz, does a little manipulation and gaslighting of his own)
thanks for your questions! hope my answers are satisfactory lol

Conversion, Pt. 2
We rejoin Beckett and Sheppard in the infirmary, and the fact that we got a widescreen view of the city suggests that some time has passed since the end of the previous scene. While McKay is no longer with them, this seems to still be the same visit to the infirmary as Sheppard's tac vest is laying on the gurney next to him, and it is probable that he has removed it while Beckett continued his examination. We are not told why McKay is no longer there or where he has gone. McKay may have left because he felt like his pretext for staying there with Sheppard was becoming flimsy and suspicious, and hence he needed to not be seen hanging around there for an excessive amount of time. But there is also the possibility that had been told to leave by Beckett or one of the nurses who are also no longer around, which gets some confirmation at the end of the episode with McKay making a comment that makes it sound like Beckett was the one that had driven him out of the infirmary previously and has kept him from seeing Sheppard.
Tumblr media
What is interesting is that after the shot of McKay looking frightened and struck speechless as he watched Sheppard, we do not see him again for a very long time. He is entirely absent for the better part of the episode, and because we see several scenes in which Sheppard's transformation becomes apparent in how different he is behaving with people, it is curious that we do not get to see how he would have behaved with the person that seems to know him the best. This is a variation of the same as when we did not get to see Sheppard's reaction to Cadman possessing McKay up until the very end of Duet (S02E04), where it was apparent to everyone involved that McKay was not acting of his own accord. It is a glaring absence, and there must be a reason for it. Once more, they simply could not show the audience private moments, or in this case even moments in public, between Sheppard and McKay without giving the game away. But we are given some heavy hints in this episode.
Regardless, we now find Sheppard alone with Beckett who is taking a blood sample from his other arm, engaged in a mixture of denial and wishful thinking. Sheppard and Beckett speak in soft, friendly tones and be it that Beckett is a doctor or that he simply is not a woman, Sheppard seems perfectly physically at ease in his presence.
Tumblr media
Sheppard: Maybe the wound wasn't that bad. Beckett: Then where'd all the blood come from? Sheppard: I don't know, maybe it just looked a lot worse than it was.
In some ways, this seems like baseline Sheppard. He does not appear to be putting on any kind of an act or pretense, his tone is conversational, and he is neither avoiding looking Beckett in the eyes or particularly searching his gaze, looking at him the normal amount. Sheppard is on neutral, and it does not seem like his transformation has begun taking effect yet.
Tumblr media
Beckett: I don't see evidence of any cut at all. Sheppard: That's weird, because it hurt like hell. Beckett: You're sure the skin was broken? Sheppard: I'm pretty sure. There was a lot of blood! Maybe it was hers?
With regards to the ATA gene and whether it gives the carriers some latent version of the Ancients' partial telepathy, while Sheppard and Beckett do not get each other on the level and Sheppard and McKay seem to, they do have an easy rapport. They have gotten along fine ever since Sheppard was drawn to the command chair platform on the Antarctic base in Rising (S01E01), following the sound of Beckett's voice there. They both seem to be able to read each other's expressions, at the very least, communicating on more levels than just a mere exchange of words here.
Of course where Beckett does have the authentic gene, unlike McKay, Beckett and Sheppard have not been as intimately involved, and where they may have more channels open between them than most people do, there are many more channels still that facilitate communication between Sheppard and McKay. But it is interesting that Sheppard feels that he can trust Beckett enough to confess to him that he felt pain, and that it had been a lot of pain. There is also some meta commentary here: while we may not see evidence of something does not mean that it could not have had profound effects, that it could not have hurt like hell. This is pretty much everything that has happened between Sheppard and McKay.
Tumblr media
Beckett: It was definitely human. Sheppard: I don't know. Maybe it was a nosebleed. Beckett: Is that supposed to be a joke, Colonel? Sheppard: Believe me, this isn't funny.
A few things to note here. First, Sheppard once more attempts to make light of something because it is too heavy to deal with. He is freaked out by this, and hence tries to wisecrack his way out of it. Now, there are times when people misinterpret Sheppard just because his tone of voice makes everything sound sarcastic even when it is not his intention. But that is not the case here. His intention was to put his own mind at ease by making it sound like it isn't such a big deal, to trick his mind into thinking that there isn't anything to worry about. But he is not making a joke, and it is testament to how honest he is being with Beckett that he actually admits as much. Beckett does not know him well enough, intimately enough, to understand why Sheppard often resorts to using humour and flippancy to countervail emotionally heavy moments when he does not know how to deal with them. This is a psychological defense mechanism, and an obvious one at that.
Second, Beckett calls him Colonel even now that they are alone together. In the previous episode, we saw McKay call him Sheppard where Beckett called him both Colonel Sheppard and Colonel. This is relevant for this episode, as what Sheppard is called becomes significant with regards to his scenes with Teyla. And there is a lampshade here for what happened in Trinity (S02E06), when we heard McKay call Sheppard Colonel for the first time. They were alone together, as Sheppard and Beckett are now, and Sheppard's response to McKay calling him Colonel had been "That was a joke, right?" Sheppard had not found that very amusing, either. In fact, he seemed pretty damn hurt by McKay calling him by his title. With anyone else, he seems proud and happy to be called that, as it is an acknowledgement of his promotion, of the trust that has been placed in him with his new office. So it is interesting that with McKay and only with McKay he seems uncomfortable being reminded of his station and his position in the military.
Tumblr media
Beckett: Give me half a day to run your bloodwork and analyze it with the data we already have. We'll figure it out. Sheppard: And until then? Beckett: You're welcome to look over my shoulder.
Now, the thing is, Sheppard has spent a lot of time watching McKay work. We explicitly see him do this e.g., in Home (S01E09) and Condemned (S02E05), where he literally has nothing else to do but to watch McKay work. And given the hints that he has been bringing McKay coffee and things to eat in his lab, it would seem like Sheppard has done this more than a little. Has been seen doing it. Beckett is McKay's best friend and he certainly might have noticed something going on. He also might just have made the comment because he was frustrated by McKay watching over his shoulder as he worked in the previous episode and quipped himself, knowing that what he had to do here required concentration.
But however Beckett may have meant it, Sheppard one hundred percent heard it as a more or less subtle dig at his habitual need to watch McKay work. Given how cautious Sheppard seems to be about anyone getting any suspicions about the two of them, especially now that Caldwell is again (or still) on base, this does make him freak out a little bit. Had he been too obvious? Did this mean that he could not go directly to McKay's lab from here and watch him work? Whether or not this was an intentional attempt at teasing Sheppard, that is the spirit in which Sheppard understood it.
Tumblr media
Sheppard: Yeah, that's tempting, but... Beckett: Just go about your day.
Sheppard's reaction here is mighty weird if we just look at the main-text. What, he thought that Beckett made a genuine offer to let him watch him work and that made him uncomfortable? He thought that Beckett was fucking with him, and he didn't enjoy it? He looks defensive here. Like he thought Beckett had just made a really tasteless comment, had said something that he found offensive and he was having to feign like it hadn't hurt his feelings.
Watching McKay work is tempting to him, for him. It presents him with a temptation, something that he has to resist. And while he does not think that Beckett is out to get them, feels like he can trust Beckett and they were clearly having an easy rapport until this moment, for some reason the concept of watching over someone's shoulder as they work is something that he has no sense of humour about. Sheppard casts his eyes down as he leaves, almost as though he is feeling shame. And the way Beckett looks at him as he leaves is curious, too. Yes, Beckett is clearly concerned. But why the deep sigh? Why does he seem sad?
But if Sheppard was still acting normal while he was with Beckett, in the next scene we find him running with Ronon and this scene is the first one in which we are meant to understand that something about Sheppard is changing. He is not being himself. Sheppard comes to a halt as he reaches the top of what ever walk-way they are running on, seeming barely to have made an effort.
Tumblr media
Sheppard: I thought you said you were a Runner!
Where Ronon is exhausted and out of breath, Sheppard seems unaffected. He has not even put up a sweat. He also seems freaked out about why Ronon is suddenly unable to keep up with him, and he is more worried that there is something wrong with Ronon than thinking there is anything different about himself. However, we can tell that he is beginning to change by the fact that the comment he makes is rather callous. He is making a joke this time, but given Ronon's traumatic past of having spent seven years being hunted by the wraith that had earned him the title of Runner, Sheppard's joke here is more than a little cruel. While Ronon is not precisely Mister Sensitive and known to getting his feelings hurt, he does clearly think that it was a dick thing to say.
Tumblr media
Dex: That's funny. Sheppard: I can usually barely keep up, what's with you? Dex: What's with you?
Sheppard's scenes with Ronon and Teyla are both meant to show us that Sheppard is changing both physically and mentally. For one, he has increased stamina. He can keep going for longer than he could before, he has no need for a refractory period because he feels no exhaustion. The thing is, we do not know that this was the first thing Sheppard chose to do with his time after leaving Beckett's office. It is probable that even if he had been intending to go visit McKay in the lab, he would not have done it following Beckett's comment, at least not right away. But it is doubtful that he would have had both a run with Ronon and a sparring session with Teyla scheduled for the same day (that they also came back from a mission) originally. That is too much action for one day. With Teyla, he has regular sparring sessions. He tells us here that he has regular runs with Ronon. But he may still have sought out Ronon for something to do that had not been pre-planned. He may have needed something to take the edge off because what he had been doing was not been working.
The "rule of three" suggests that we should have seen Sheppard have a similar scene with Ronon, Teyla and McKay. Observing his behaviour as being different with each three of them would have given us a pattern. All three of them are Sheppard's team members, he does things with all of them. He spends time alone with all three of them. But with one of them, we do not get to see it. And the fact that we get these two scenes of Sheppard with Ronon and Teyla right after Beckett implied that he knew where Sheppard was headed from the infirmary is suspicious. There is something missing.
Sheppard runs with Ronon, he spars with Teyla, and he seems to be able to go on longer than previously and with less effort than before with both of them. There is also a physical activity he occasionally engages in with McKay. And through the negative space here, we are invited to ask whether McKay had a similar experience to the other two that we obviously could not get to see. There is some obvious missing time in the episode that would facilitate something having happened. But it is just as likely that McKay's absence and the lack of scenes with him and Sheppard is done on purpose, that there is a reason why Sheppard keeps himself from McKay--or keeps McKay away from himself, as this is going down.
Tumblr media
Sheppard: Water? Hey! Sore loser. I don't act like a jerk when you beat me! Dex: Yes, you do.
So, let's put aside the fact that the loser is "sore" and that "jerk" and "beat" are all mentioned in the same breath, as well as Ronon's suggestive pose as he rests his arms on the railing with his ass up. Sheppard's reaction here is interesting. He offers Ronon water from his water bottle, and as Ronon pours water down his throat Sheppard for some reason seems to think that Ronon is doing this to spite him. What about taking a drink that was offered while you are thirsty is "acting like a jerk"? And make no mistake, it is the way Ronon takes the water from him that Sheppard seems to think is Ronon acting like a jerk because he yelps "Hey!" just Ronon puts the bottle to his mouth. The implication might be that Sheppard does not like him putting his mouth directly on his things and that he should have taken a drink without touching the nozzle, but it is left ambiguous what his problem is.
Something similar may have happened between Sheppard and McKay before this scene (with the difference that Sheppard does not mind McKay putting his mouth on his things). The dialogue certainly is befitting of playing a game or a contest of some kind. It is not impossible for a situation similar to this having been the reason that Sheppard had ended up feeling the need to go running with Ronon in the first place. He clearly had excess energy to burn. They all seem to have trouble keeping up with him as he is now.
Tumblr media
Sheppard: OK, then we'll go around again. Dex: You go ahead. Sheppard: OK, grumpy. I will.
Ronon is done, both with running and with Sheppard's attitude, feeling that Sheppard's probably genuine offer of going again and giving Ronon the opportunity to perform like he usually does and kick his ass is condescending. Sheppard likely thinks that Ronon is coming down with something where Ronon has no idea what is going on. Sheppard calls Ronon grumpy, and the name might also befit another member of his team--Ronon might not be the first person he has called grumpy that day. At the same time, Grumpy is the second one of the Seven Dwarfs name-checked episode since he had just called Beckett Doc. We might further cast Teyla as Bashful and Weir, who confesses to needing sleep at the end of the episode as Sleepy. McKay, of course, is Happy given that his name literally means rejoicing, gay. Sheppard himself could be Dopey given that he is taking a drug for most of the episode and confesses to his history with Codeine later, but he also takes on aspects of the Evil Queen in both of her forms, and furthermore, twice in the episode we find him comatose sleeping the "sleep of death," and by the end of the episode, he is seen in bed, perhaps waiting for that love's first kiss. There might be some references to Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs here, albeit they have very little bearing on the plot.
For some reason, Sheppard also speaks the words "I will" in almost a whisper as he takes off, seeming unaffected by Ronon's upset. He bare seems to even notice it. Sheppard is feeling good. He has not felt this good in a long time. He manages to hurt Ronon's feelings and he freaks Teyla out, and we never get to see what might have happened with McKay. Should it have been a combination of the things that happened with Ronon and Teyla, it might explain why we do not see McKay for such a long time. Because the context in which it would have happened was more intimate, he would also have been far more affected by it. What ever the explanation, there was a clear need to keep McKay on the back-burner in this episode.

Everything that could go wrong, went wrong.
I haven’t posted all week like I should’ve and I’m here to say why. I want to start this off by saying that Uni isn’t easy for some people, for me it’s easy usually. However with an internship twice a week sandwiched in between that makes it a little harder, and that’s okay, I can do it. Now that I’m taking a personal day on Fridays, this will improve my mental health and only working twice a week may not be what I wanted but it’s what I needed. However school has gotten harder, I am in a group for one of my classes and they’re involved in sports. That’s great, nothing wrong with that at all, but the issue is that they’re doing everything last minute and giving me very little time to do my part as well as very little information.
There’s no consistency in our communication; I wanted to get a head start and complete the first project early, all things considered, I considered everyone’s schedules and thought if we got this done early, it’s gonna be less stress for everyone. But unfortunately, they don’t think the same way, and putting me in a time crunch to get stuff done isn’t something I’m comfortable and okay with. For the first project, I got one set of notes for a bit and then the other two and I didn’t perspectives or any more details so my ability to write, which I know I’m good at, wasn’t put to good use and potential. So for this project they were doing the same thing, and quite frankly I was and still not happy about it. At this time a bit before I began to take Fridays off, I began to get stressed out even more. I put off studying a midterm and paper for a social work class.
I felt so overwhelmed and loaded, I got so stressed out and angry, I felt like I was being put into a position where I didn’t matter and neither did my mental health. So I found a last minute solution to our project, we needed to go to a specific event for our class project. And they waited until and I mean UNTIL the very last minute on last week, no one communicated. I didn’t say anything for this project because I wanted to be flexible and allow them to address it because last time on the first day of school, I sent the first text in our group chat asking when to get the first project started and shocker, no said anything until it was due the last possible second. So for this project I crowd sourced more events and information on social media, they wanted to play last minute bull crap again and I was not having it.
I feel as though my boundaries have been crossed soon after the post, I got comments on events AND I emailed my professor letting him know what was going on. He told me not to work with them this one time and submit it on my own which I will be doing in parts today (ADHD-I makes it difficult to focus.) hence why I NEED to get a head start on things to not get to this point. I don’t mind small assignments but this is big, and when I get overwhelmed I procrastinate because an amalgamation of unfinished projects is incredibly overwhelming and scary I just avoid it. So they began to complain over the group text and I unplugged from it to take time to think and care for myself. I have yet to open the texts, for now, my sanity matters, they don’t get to ruin how my day goes.
So, you may not hear from me for a hot second so please try to be patient, and on top of all this I have a shitty mentor in the place I intern at. She is just so rude and talks down to me and my fellow interns, and my mentor herself increases my anxiety, it’s getting to a point where I’m ✨depressed✨. Next seminar I will be talking to my Liaison and finding a new group to work with. This sucks because I love writing on here, I love writing in general, it’s so therapeutic to me but school comes first. I will let yall know when I come back. Which hopefully by next Monday I will be, things get worse before they get better I need to roll with the punches and chaos, if there is any I trust, it’s Loki that’s for damn sure.

dominus ambus?
this is a really interesting ask for a headcanon meme for two reasons: one, dominus has basically no canon outside plot device stuff. two, i happen to have a bunch of 100% arbitrary personal headcanons relating to said plot device stuff for a variety of reasons; please read the following as such.
i think rewind and dominus are two people who would have been better off as amica but because of external pressure went straight to conjunx, and this has needled in the back of rewind's head for a long time following dominus' apparent death, that uncertainty of whether conjunx was right for them. hence his ambivalence re: his relationship with chromedome. they love each other and never had the chance to narrow down what 'love' means, which is why rewind is so cagey with chromedome. (some of this is me being meta- i don't think this relationship was meant to be romantic originally- but i also just think it's a more interesting take overall, given what we do know. if they'd had the chance, it could have been good. as it was...)
dominus is extremely self loathing about his alt mode. i see him as someone who is unable to understand that self loathing is not an objective truth he 'overcame', and i do not think he ever really got beyond this.
i think dominus and minimus were really close. minimus acts like not hearing from his brother recently is bizarre and surprising in the functionist universe we see, so I feel like they are close; perhaps dominus constantly asks his brother to weigh in but also undercuts him. i think having a sibling who is always ready to point out your moral flaws because he is so perfect would be exhausting, and i mean dominus looking at minimus here, not vice versa; i think dominus had as much of a complex about minimus as vice versa, and neither every really understood why in either direction.
dominus regrets the violence he did as part of the DJD enough that surviving would have been very, very difficult.
dominus chose to cut his spark bond with minimus for verisimilutude, because while minimus' taking on of the magnus armour was already past by that point and he could theoretically get away with it, dominus had given up at that point on a post-war life, and convinced himself it was kinder to get it over with. (breaking the spark bond is why minimus had the injury that led him to temporarily give up the armour re: Transformers vs Rom: it was, in fact, horrible. i think he had awareness that minimus' 'death' was fake because minimus didn't do that to him, and he decided to fake his death regardless.)

Lily 2.0
so, a while ago, back when this blog was just finding it's foot, i made a post with a headcanon about why Jilly and Snilly wouldn't work out, wich was taken from a Prince Chaser fict , a ship that...if we are being honest probably wouldn't work out 'cause who would date someone who comited or threatened to comit CSA on them back when they were kids? but the ficts about it are cute and the ship is at least better than...say Severus Snape/Dumbledore.
anyway, back to the topic: after i made that post, a fellow Snape fan by the username of emma03080114 made several good points that i decided to include on it so now i present you....LILY 2.0 :
as much as they hated each other, James Potter and Severus Snape had one thing in common: although they liked to claim otherwise, neither of them truly loved Lily:
Yes they idealized her, as teens often do but it was not love.
To them, she was a princess from a fairytail, capable of doing no wrong and with next to no character flaws whatsoever.
James was crushing hard on Lily. He was atracted to Lily because of her beauty and popularity as well as her fiery temper'cause what he wanted the most was to have a stay at home warrior woman for a wife. To him, Lily was a challenge wich is what he loves the most as we can see when we take into consideration that it was him who decided that the marauders would become Animagi and it was him who had the idea for the marauders map. Hence why his main strategy to win her over was not to become closer to her but instead wear her down untill her NO becomes a YES.
He viewed Lily as Princess Peach a fiery damsel in distress, kidnaped by the big bad Bowser Severus who was tretening to crush her heart and bring her with him to the darkness, doing to her as he saw fit. (not that James knows shit about videogames or anything muggle really but i thought it was a good analogy)
James was the one who decided to get married and have kids right after they graduated Hogwarts and if it weren't for the war, Lily wouldn't have agreed 'cause she wanted to persue a carrer (probably as a healer or charms master) however, James, who had the most dotting parents anyone could ever wish for, had always idelized the notion of family and wanted one for himself. Once his parents died and seeing the war wouldn't stop anytime soon, he decided to fulfill that dream before it was to late.
Some may argue that he had to have loved Lily at least a bit since Harry came into existence but that could also have been motivated by lust and his own desire to have kids. it is more than clear that he was sexualy atracted to her and you don't have to love someone to have sex with them nor vice versa.
Severus, on the other hand, viwed Lily was his Belle, the only one he felt would ever be able to love the moster he saw himself as. He was unloved by his dad and although his mom may have loved him, she didn't love him enough to leave Tobias for his sake.
Never being exposed to real love or friendship prior to knowing lily is not surprising that he mistook the platonic love we did feel for her for a romantic love.
Neither Severus nor James ever got to truly know her, to see her as a person instead of an idea. Hence why i personally think that, had James and Lily lived, their relationship wouldn't last long.
They were just not right for each other: she was too headstrong, too opinionated and too independent to be the dotting wife he always dreamed of. Heck i can't even imagine her as a stay at home mom like most of the pureblood wifes seem to be.
In the End, Lily chose James because she, Like her sister, was a social climber and despite James being a certified toarag, he was pretty, popular, dominant and dirty rich was well as being a pureblood, thus giving her acess to the same social group that disciminated against her.
She also wasn't touchy enough for James or Severus and since she idealizes herself, believing herself to be superior to others, interpersonal justice is the only form of justice that matters to her. Thus, she would never correct Severus on his prejudiced views until those views resulted in her own feelings being hurt (like they canonically were at the lake.), plus despite the fact that she cares about thim, she never tried to view his side of the story. She never stoped to consider, for example, that a vast majority of the slytherins are either children of death eaters and/or planing to be death eaters so if Severus stoped talking to everyone associated with death eaters, he wouldn't have anyone to talk to in his house.
Honestly, i think that, for him to change without Lily dying, he would have to see muggles being mercilesly tourtured by those who follow the one he chose to call master, as well as having someone who suports him for real (ie not like Dumbledore who was more than happy to keep him in the DE instead of offering him a better option).
and for James to change for real, ('cause i don't think he did. i think he just toned down his bullying whenever Lily was around),he would have to see how much what he and his friends did truly hurts Severus. To do that, he would need to talk to someone who knows what Severus had gone trough or truly reflect if what he did was ok. Truthfully, is hard for people like him to change, unless something or someone makes them more empathic with others
Tumblr media
Wow this poster got long!
Once again, thanks for your input emma03080114 and for those who are wondering, no i do not hate Lily, i just think that she would be better off with someone else.

I'm a bit confused. I know about Osamu Tezuka's Star System, consisting in reusing his characters from different stories for other stories as different roles as if they were actors, think a bit of Muppet adaptations. They could be interpreted as AUs. But is it the case of this one example ?
In a volume of Black Jack, another manga by Osamu Tezuka, Dr Tenma looks older (ormaybedoesntdyehishairandbeardfullyanymore), is more unhinged, is trying to get into politics and he doesn't seem to be a doctor of robotics but he is a doctor in medecine, even owning a hospital. And more importantly : he has NO son, but a total different child, a daughter named Kasumi (or maybe he had 2 children and she is the youngest hence why he looks older ?)
Tumblr media
He also acts more unhinged I fucking love his expressions lol and no matter the comic he is a father in, bastard always makes his kids feel neglected because he is a workaholic
Tumblr media
She mentions no mother, meaning he is a widow in that continuity too. But he mentions a granny, meaning that unlike Tobio who seemed to have no grandparents, either Hoshie's or Umataro's mother is around (ngl at first I thought he was maybe the grandfather hence why he looks older than usual but then he does call her his daughter later so no)
And not only Kasumi looks kind of a human version of Uran, at some point he does a mistake and accidentally calls her Uran before correcting himself. Does this mean in this universe there was something going on between Kasumi and Uran like between Tobio and Atom, or is it just because shebis meant to be played by Uran like an actress with the Star System and it was just meant to earn a chuckle from the reader ?
Tumblr media
She doesn't die fortunately, but she almost does in darker circumstances. She is so sad by him becoming greedier, angrier and more corrupted and ready to be gone on long trips poor little girl attempts at her own life, and goes into a coma. But fortunately Black Jack saves her, and we saw that Tenma does really care for her since by being seen with Black Jack he ruins his reputation and any chance at winning but he no longer cares, she is more important. And it's a nice change to finally see him have a child who lives and him being relieved and deciding to look on life a different way
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So yeah either Tenma and Uran are actors as himself and as Kasumi respectfully, or better yet : HC that in the Black Jack universe, which is like an AU to the usual Astro Boy universe (and vice Versa since Black and Pinoko both often appear in Astro Boy media ; I guess both franchises are AUs of each other), robotics doesn't seem to be as developped so Tenma turned to medecine instead and being intelligent became as good at it as he would be in robotics in another world, climbed the scale quickly to the point of having a reputation anf money, still married Hoshie and had Tobio, Tobio never died since no toy car since no robotics, so Tenma being happier longer, he and Hoshie some time when Tobio was older like a teenager they had a 2nd child Kasumi, Hoshie fortunately died of her heart attack since I guess her heart is fragile in every universe and Tobio would soon leave home to study so Tenma found himself with his newborn daughter but he was so deep in his career and work (maybe to make sure nobody dies like Hoshi did again) he didn't have as much time as before all while maybe increasing his work cadence to cheat his widower grief, and nowadays Kasumi is the same age Tobio would have been when he died in the Astro Boy continuity whereas he is alive and a young adult here and Tenma grew older and got a love for power and money the deeper he got in and Kasumi got lonelier and lonelier with her father and brother away and her mother she always hears about but never knew and can't help but wonder if time was better for the family before she was born which, of course, neither of them think so and they adore her

Day 24: Struck By Lightning
I'm finally all caught up! And with a week left, lol. But here, this is part of no established AU, and never will be, I have full confidence that something this stupid probably happened in canon.
Enjoy!
“Kol,” Elijah called, exasperated. “Kol!”
His younger brother (youngest, now, and didn’t that just hurt Elijah’s heart? Little Henrik, dead…) ignored him, instead trying to climb higher in the tree, his sword held above him. At the rate, Elijah felt he’d have to climb after him, which he did not want to do.
“Stop encouraging him!” Elijah’s head whipped around to their siblings, Niklaus and Rebekah both laughing on the ground as they watched Kol.
The idea was either Niklaus’ or Kol’s, originally. Elijah hadn’t been paying enough attention at the time, braiding Rebekah’s hair for her, trusting that Finn would be able to look after their brothers for five minutes. Except that apparently, Finn had done his own thing, and left their more chaotic siblings together.
Hence why Kol was now climbing the tallest tree they could find, covered in as much metal as they could find on such short notice. Where he’d even gotten half of it, Elijah wasn’t sure. But what he was certain of was that just because their mother had said they were immortal, it didn’t mean they should be testing it out like this!
It was a heavy storm, too. Elijah was certain it was going to cause lightning, and thunder, and the danger only increased his efforts to get his brother down, before he got struck. Of course, it seemed that being struck by lightning was Kol’s goal, as he climbed higher, waving his sword around.
Honestly, sometimes Elijah wondered why he didn’t just leave them to their own devices. Right, because they would come running to find him soon enough, having messed up enough that they needed him to fix it for them. His siblings should be lucky that he loved them, Elijah thought, because they’d be in big trouble if he didn’t.
Trouble like being hit by their brother whilst they were busy laughing at him, as was what happened now. Kol got his wish, the lightning striking him before Elijah could even draw breath to yell at him again. He flew from the tree, the metal surrounding him sparking, little bits flicking off of him, as Kol landed right on top of his siblings.
Neither Rebekah nor Niklaus were laughing much now, Elijah noted in the back of his head. They were yelling a lot more instead, both at Kol, and for Elijah, so he could be mad at Kol.
Although why they seemed to think they were off the hook for this, when Elijah knew full well that they had been egging Kol on with this idiot plan of his, he had no idea. Even if it had backfired on them now, with Kol slamming into them, the electricity from the lightning still flying off of him, zapping their siblings, Elijah saw no reason to exclude them from his disappointment.
They were old enough to know better, in his opinion. Suddenly being invulnerable to the stupid things their brains could come up with was not a reason to do it, and Elijah told them so. If he’d obeyed the stupid thoughts in his head when he was their age, like they were doing now, Kol would have been tossed into the fire, and Rebekah’s hair would be much shorter (from the same fire, incidentally enough).
He could feel Finn’s smirk, despite his older brother not actually saying anything. The way their younger siblings’ faces started scowling at something behind Elijah gave it away, and so, he promptly included Finn in his scoldings as well.
After all, he’d trusted Finn with Niklaus and Kol, and had expected his brother to keep them out of trouble. And instead, what did Elijah find? Two idiots climbing a tree, and Finn was off writing love letters to Sage or something like that.
Elijah had managed to get Niklaus down, thankfully, but Kol had ignored him, and it was for this reason that he was getting the brunt of it. Not too much more than the others, though, Kol was still smoking after all, and a fall from that height couldn’t have been much fun, regardless of how immortal they were.
Finally, Elijah sent them off to think about their actions. It wasn’t much, but it did work on the younger ones, even though he knew Finn wouldn’t be taking it to heart. His older brother would be more than likely to compose more sonnets to Sage, instead of thinking about his actions, but Elijah couldn’t force him to do anything. It was the perils of being his younger brother, after all, despite all the responsibility he held in regards to the rest of the family.
Sometimes, Elijah really hated that he’d been born the second son, and that Finn held him accountable for things that happened before his birth. It would be a lot easier if Finn either listened to him, Elijah reckoned, or if his brother at least didn’t actively go against him whenever he could.

You're forgetting that Eraser is an enabler. Yes, Bakugo should be held fully accountable for his own actions, I completely agree with you there. But Eraser is his homeroom teacher. It's his job to discipline Bakugo when he does something wrong and not allow him to continue that behavior. Instead he does nothing as Bakugo repeatedly attacks a fellow classmate. He assumes that Midoriya is just as responsible for them not being able to get along. He has CONSISTENTLY treated Midoriya unfairly, especially as opposed to Bakugo.
Who's the one always defending Bakugo? Eraser. Who's the one who paired them together for the final despite Bakugo repeatedly being violent toward Midoriya? Eraser. Who's the one who did nothing to correct Bakugo's behavior despite promising to? Eraser.
Either Eraser is an idiot who genuinely doesn't believe that there's a power imbalance between Midoriya and Bakugo, or he's aware of it and sees no problem with it and doesn't deign to do anything about it. You can understand how neither of these options do him any favors
I'm not saying he isn't an enabler.
I'll acknowledge that my preferred version of Aizawa is mostly fanon because I like him better when he's a good man and a good father figure to the kids. But I know that he enabled Bakugou.
It's why in every five I write the backstory is that Aizawa doesn't read teacher comments and he assumes based on Bakugou’s attitude that he was treated like a villain. Because it gives us a reason why Aizawa does defend Bakugou. As for Izuku: I think Nezu never included the activation date or even Izuku kept it quiet out of fear. He never tells ANYONE when he got his Quirk for a long time. So I can actually understand why Aizawa would think Izuku is lazy in that situation. I think Aizawa is a fucking idiot for not looking into it further, but that's me.
However I can't remember Aizawa ever blaming Izuku for the fights with Bakugou. I literally can't. He blames them BOTH for the after curfew fight which is highly unfair but it's not solely Izuku. I've rewritten enough of the series that I can see how unfair Aizawa is BUT with his personality I can't understand why. It feels incredibly out of character to me that a guy who hates when people coast on their Quirks and acts like a bunch of entitled dicks would give Bakugou a pass. Hence my headcanon.
Aizawa does enable Bakugou: and it's WILDLY out of character even early on. This is why I think Horikoshi either: a) wants Bakuhou around the most and will make everyone OOC to do it or b) is being forced to keep the guy in due to popularity.
But to say he ONLY blames Izuku is wrong. He's just never punishing Bakugou which isn't good. I won't deny Aizawa is a dick the first while before becoming more open. However: he's not the one at fault for Bakugou’s actions. Bakugou would have figured a way out to bully Izuku no matter what. He'd have gotten sneaker and meaner over time. That's what abusers do. He'd have hit Izuku in places people can't see and he'd have done things to mess with him.
Aizawa did enable Bakugou. But to have him receive a horrible punishment when Bakugou gets off Scott free is my issue. If Aizawa is fired for not doing anything, Bakugou should be expelled. If Bakugou just needs anger management, Aizawa just needs therapy.
To me, Aizawa honestly thought Bakugou just needed guidance. He never threatens Izuku with expelling him after the first day. He pulls logical ruses, does train Shinsou over them and isn't a great teacher but NO teacher at UA is a good one. Vlad King certainly the hell isn't given he hasn't cracked down on Kendo or Monoma for their shit. Power Loader isn't for not stopping Mei from her antics. Present Mic and Midnight could have done something to. All Might isn't a great teacher either.
Aizawa is an idiot who got blinded by his own beliefs. Bakugou is a child who was hurt by society and needs guidence while Izuku is the old version of Kirishima: a well meaning guy who pushes to much. That's what Aizawa thinks I believe. That's what he is to me. Someone who honestly has the best intentions but fucks up.
But again: the issue will always be the unequal punishment for Bakugou when he is the sole person at fault. He didn't need an enabler the very first day: he attacked Izuku no matter what. His actions are his own.

“Wanek told a fangirl off the record that Jared's ambition was almost impossible to compete with after he passively aggressively called Jared's acting inferior to Jensen's.  You can just feel the sticky resentment oozing out of him!   When this became public, he had to go on twitter to back track and say he wouldn't have a job if it weren't for Jared. “
Why be “mad” at Jared, though. Just because he can’t admit betting on the wrong horse? Why should he care? (Not that Jensen is bad at acting at all.) Was he serious in thinking that Jared is/was a worse actor, or was he just being a petty bitch?
For Kripke, is he so far up Jensen’s butt because he was betting on Jensen to do better than Jared, too? Or is his reasoning more that Jensen didn’t stress him out like Jated did (with his breakdown in season 3)? Or does he just see that Jared doesn’t need his boosting since he’s a lead on his own show already?
At least Kripke was smart enough to publicly offer Jared a roll on The Boys. Even if Jared never does it, and even if he didn’t really expect him to take him up on the offer, he can at least say he made the offer and look like he has a good relationship with both SPN stars.
Do you think Kripke would actually like for Jared to make an appearance on The Boys? And do you think there is anyway Jared would do it?
Sorry for all the small asks! They sort of lead off of each other.
Jerry Wanek was mostly peacocking for fangirls. Older men can't resist interacting with eager young women and assert their status in the male hierarchy by dunking on other men because everybody (especially women) attach no value to men with no or low status. Jerry knew he was talking to a Dean girl so made sure to gain points by not to dunking on Jensen, even good naturally; come on ladies, you know what men want. He even implied that he got Jeffery Dean Morgon fired from SPN for being a "prick" who took advantage on set. Again, peacocking for the young women by going, "see, I'll protect you from the creep".
Jerry wasn't "mad" at Jared, I didn't say that. Jerry had a bias towards Jensen, likely seeing him as the reliable stable one compared to Jared who had a breakdown and endangered their jobs if Jared left the show too soon. Both Jerry and Jensen may have had a Dark Angel flashback when 19 years old Jessica Alba was under intense pressure and instead of getting support, she was blamed for not holding it together. As far as I could tell, neither Jerry nor Jensen had any sympathy for Jessica, and it's unlikely Jerry would extend sympathy towards Jared since he's male. Similar reasons why Kripke has biases towards Jensen because he didn't try to break his contract and endangered the show's lucrative licensing potential.
Kripke boosting Jensen is just trying to get SPN fans to watch both Gen V and The Boys to give his shows cultural relevancy like they did with Supernatural, hence his constant use of the #SPNFamily and begging wooing SPN to watch The Boys verse. He's under a lot of pressure from Amazon to create a cultural zeitgeist for them because the studio is desperate to have their own Games of Throne tv show. Amazon suffers from little bro syndrome watching Netflix, Hulu and HBO continuously putting out blockbuster shows while Amazon is still seen as a niche player in TV.
Kripke definitely wants Jared on The Boys to complete the SPN fandom trifecta. But he knows it goes against Jared's image and brand so he's not expecting a phone call.

I’m having so many thoughts about @ammstify’s persona 6 idea for it being about nature and being based on Arthurian legend but as more of a spin-off but I’m in the “pacing while brainstorming” phase which means that I have too much energy to sit down and actually write down my ideas so I may as well start a post that’s like… just a bunch of ramblings about ideas. Have so at least it’s WRITTEN DOWN and I won’t forget anything. If I think enough I might even make a fanfic in the style of steal the truth (which you should absolutely read btw it’s genuinely one of the best video game adaptations with how well it integrates persona’s calendar mechanic and social links into its story structure) but that would require a lot of foresight and planning (hence why u want to WRITE SHIT DOWN)
Anyway here goes. Spoilers for something that I just made up but might make into an actual thing in the future I guess lol
The themes are about growth (there's LOTS of plant imagery), moving on, and how it gets better (the sun will always rise, darkest before dawn, etc. (there's a lot of day/night imagery as well)), and it looks at the relationship between humans and the environment.
The setting will probably be Kyoto, or at least some city, but I'm undecided about whether the characters are high school or uni students. Both have their pros and cons and I just have to figure them out. I'm leaning towards Uni?
The actual persona elements take place in the sea of souls, although it's more accurate to say the field of souls, as it's an undending field of grass, flowers, and the odd tree/hill, with every bit of flora representing a life. Select people will travel to the sea of souls in their sleep, but sleeping in the sea of souls won't get you out, so if someone is there without a way out, it looks like they're in a coma. If they happen to die in there (haven't completely figured out shadow mechanics yet, don't know if day/night cycles in the sos would be over a few weeks (to represent the collective unconscious) or over a characters journey (because it's cool imagery)) the body will start growing vines and leaves as their pulse slowly fades.
One way to get out is through the velvet room: In the sea of souls there is a battlefield, with velvet blue warbanners rising amongst the bloodstained foliage, and in the centre is a familiar long nosed man sitting on a particularly comfy looking rock, with a warrior clad in a deep blue leather armour brandishing a spear and shield. As neither protagonist is a wild card (whoops spoiler) Igor doesn't act as the guy who fuses your personas, he's like a guide both through your journey and on your way back to the real world. Maybe belladonna and nameless are also there, who knows.
Persona users have a body part wrapped in foliage, vines, flowers, and the like (the location can be thematic, it’s as if wrapped in chains), and when summoned the foliage chains break and rapidly grow into the summoned persona.
Protag A (who I shall refer to as Sun because that’s their arcana) is a kind young man who was diagnosed with cancer. This diagnosis comes shortly after moving to a new city to start university, so he rightly is in a lot of turmoil and feeling alone. One of the way he copes is by having a fairly dark cynical sense of humour, contrasting with his kind and caring personality. I’m not set on a subject he does, I’m thinking natural sciences, it’s got a wide range of topics and, most importantly, MATHS (this isn’t a joke). His starting persona is Arthur, his second awakening is Arturus Rex, both of the sun arcana, and his ultimate persona is Excalibur, of the world arcana.
Protag B (who I shall refer to as Moon) is a standoffish young woman in the year above sun. An abuse survivor, her father (her only living relative) recently was jailed for what he did, but she still holds a deep contempt for humanity who she thinks has failed her. Initially forced to interact with sun because of a scheme where second years help first years, she stays with him because of a shared goal once they enter the sea of souls. Her story arc is about growing to care for others, learning to see the good in people, and stopping seeking revenge. Her starting persona is Lancelot, who evolves into white knight, both of the moon arcana, and her ultimate persona is Galahad of the world arcana (I’m intentionally hiding some things but oh well lol. The personas are thought out, I’ll tell you that).
I’ve not settled on social links or party members, I’ve got a few ideas, like Sun’s maths professor (who would either be magician or hierophant) and the Lovers arcana, but nothing concrete.
Getting into real endgame spoilers now, the premise is that two gods, Pendragon and Morgan le Fay, are arguing over whether humanity should suffer or not. Pendragon thinks they're a stain on the world and should be wiped out, while Morgan le Fay thinks they should live in eternal bliss. Given that the themes are about moving on and growing, neither is very good, or rather, life is a combination of the two. They're represented by the moon and the sun in the sea of souls, when Pendragon is "winning" it's night, when Morgan is "winning" it's day. towards the end of the story the party beats Pendragon without realising that now Morgan le Fay is able to act unchecked and so the regular course of life grinds to a halt. During the course of the story each protagonist holds one in themself, Moon with her contempt for humanity holds pendragon, and Sun with his wish to live with his friends forever holds Morgan, but once Moon starts to see the good in humanity her mind boots out pendragon (hence why they fight him), and once Sun accepts that a life in stagnation isn't a life living at all, his mind boots out Morgan (hence why they fight her). Basically, I really really really like the ideas of third semester and am doing something similar lol.
At the start Sun and Moon are visited by a Doctor informing him of his cancer diagnosis and a chief prosecutor "congratulating" her about her father's loss in court respectively. Both talk about their fascination with/contempt of humanity, and end with "do you agree?", a cloaked agreement to a contract that makes them their champion, for these are Morgan le Fay and Pendragon in human forms. A side effect of tricking them into agreeing to a contract, however, is letting them into the velvet room, a mistake that would lead to both of the gods' downfall.
Ah shit I haven't even tackled how dungeons and stuff work. I know at least the last one is gonna be called Avalon.
I think I'm just gonna go ahead and post this for now, I might edit it later so uhhh stay tuned I guess
