CC Tier List: S1-3 Killers + Some Explanations

I didn't include the guys from the first two cases because Matt didn't even have dialogue or a motive, and Dennis didn't really have a motive either, iirc? Or he was barely given anything to say or do? yeah so they're not here lol

Milton being in the offensive category is very self-explanatory (violent, genocidal racism), and the first two are there because of the genuinely awful way mental health is portrayed in the game??? Like Dr. Bishop is just "crazy," and Ophelia killed someone brutally because she had a sudden "lapse in memory" which made her have a nightmare in which she killed him? Yeah uh both are pretty stereotypical, damaging ways in which mental illness are portrayed. And as for Shanaya, the way that Native Americans were written in Grimsborough was just....bad. Really, really, offensively bad.

I've personally played all the games, but if I don't remember a killer/their motive/their name, into the bottom tier list they go

I will say that although I enjoy Danny and Erikah as characters, there is certainly aspects of their characters that are kind of stereotypes. (I'd say the same with Sheik Faisal, but he's a con man and failed actor, so he's obviously in the wrong but still kinda could be better).

Shelly is also a pretty nasty portrayal of a plus sized woman that made me feel kinda yucky (in general, PB made a fair few fat jokes with Frank and while I may not like him that's also kinda like...enough).

Also, there's... a lot of problems involved in the way that Duncan was written imo, as well as things that just don't make sense, like him just magically recovering from paralysis from a spinal cord injury. That's not how that works. But if you like him, that's fine, I'm just not the biggest fan.

Veronica is in the "feel bad" category even though she neither felt bad nor had a sympathetic motive because of SOMBRA brainwashing.

The fact that almost half of the killers, including the FINAL KILLER/MAIN ANTAGONIST OF THE GAME, is in the "I don't remember them" category goes to show how memorable I think s3 is...though if you do like that season, more power to you! I just don't.

He can go for one or two rounds, but everything around that is way more important to him. Likes to take it slow.

T = Toys (do they own toys? do they use them? on a partner or themselves?)

Regular Aegon wouldn’t have toys, but modern!Aegon most definitely would. Maybe a vibrator or something to make you feel good.

U = Unfair (how much they like to tease)

He feels terrible when he teases, so he normally doesn’t do it.

V = Volume (how loud they are, what sounds they make, etc.)

He moans for sure. He wants you to hear him too.

W = Wild card (a random headcanon for the character)

Sometimes, he prefers cuddling over sex, but there’s nothing as good as pulling you close when you’re half-awake and playing with you until you’re fully there.

Mhm, I mean even the comic book writers either can't or refuse to keep it coherent for personal reasons.IE, sometimes they lack reference material or awareness, other times they deliberately ignore it out of spite. I could list examples but we'd bee here all day.

I myself tend to basically do it like:

Tier 1 Canon = Debuts, major story lines that remain coherent with their debuts, case centric comics that don't contradict the two prior.

Tier 2 Canon = Major story lines. that are consistent with prior comics.

Tier 3 Canon = case centric comics that don't contradict the two prior.

Anything below that list is basically pick and choose what to keep or cull. I do it like this because debuts tend to be a characters best foot forward and before behind the scenes BS starts flubbing them up.

Stephanie Brown & Orpheus both got amazing debuts, but as they got folded into Tim & Bruce's shadow, they suffered for it. Similarly, Jason's return as Red Hood & twin debuts as Robin prior and post crisis all make him look exceptionally smart, interesting & in the latter cases, very good hearted.

Thus they serve as a strong basis to refute stuff that is contradictory to them without due set up. IE, Tim insisting Jason was always a blunt instrument, or stupid & reckless, runs contrary to to all three debuts, so I ignore Tim.

Major story lines are a bit more fifty fifty, as some rely very much on ignoring pre-established characterization or skills & doing no set up to justify 'why' the character is suddenly evil or incompetent. But the one's that don't mess them up or put in the leg work to establish why they are such a mess (Dick's time in the Mob) can be really GOOD.

Meanwhile case comics that don't contradict is pretty self explanatory XD You can pick up lots of fun little tidbits and characteristics & see them when operating in a comparatively mundane scenario to "All the drama".

Low key this is also why everything post I think new 52 has been harder to keep up with cos they keep rebooting every few years. Prior to that the comics had like a 30 year run with no real reboots. Afterwards, they keep happening so getting a sense for the status quo is hard as hell & often characters get shuffled in or around with revised backstories. IE, Jason's integration into the Batfam was rather glossed over & presented very inconsistently. So for many its easier to stick to the older version or just keep him as a crime boss.

johzenji: they have cute nicknames for each other AND i think they’d kiss the homies good night. also terushima fell in love with daichi within the span of fifteen seconds. 7/10 i took away points because they think saying “no homo” while holding hands stops it from being homo

kakugawa: komaki, asamushi, and minamida all rotate the brain cell between them. they all look like middle schoolers next to hyakuzawa to the point where i keep forgetting they’re not. komaki does the glasses push so i’m giving extra for that. 7.5/10 because when hyakuzawa comes out to them they freak out (out of concern and trying to figure out how to best handle it!) and then freak hyakuzawa out so everyone is just freaking out for a full five minutes

wakunan: nakashima and tabi deserved SO MUCH MORE also i love tabi’s hair so 11/10 the extra 1 is for their break down

shinzen & ubugawa: i’m putting them together bc daiki and masaki are in love and eri and mako are in love. they go on double dates all the time and also chigaya is a bro he gets trusted with all the secret “dude i think i’m _____” talks and never tells a single soul about them 100/100

itachiyama: iizuna is the mlm awakening at itachiyama. iizuna was SAKUSA’S awakening. komori and sakusa fight because they say can’t both be the gay cousin. whenever iizuna interrupts their bickering they call him homophobic. 9/10 i subtracted a point because their uniforms make me want to claw my eyes out

nohebi: we all know daishou had a thing for kuroo way back when so like. also have you seen hiroo’s hair? those bangs are emo as hell what even is that. 8/10 because they’ll be homophobic against other teams in the middle of the goddamn game to bait them and the only reason they haven’t lost MORE points for that is bc i love kuguri

Okay, so since my last post I have decided to make a few previously select or multi-select properties into separate database relations properties– I've also completed separated my fanfiction and old library databases and I am letting myself put fan art banners and more fun icons on some pages lol. One of these projects– you'll be able to see which because I haven't finished it– is going to be incredibly time consuming 😞. Again, this is starting as a speech to text voice note so it's going to get really conversational and probably have typos even though I'm going to edit it later. So sorry about that. I already typed it out once I can't.

Short spiel– I'm a library science grad student who is using notion to create a person fanfiction database. It's for fun but it's kinda interesting how my classes impacted what I do with it so I decided to make a post or two. I'll do a line brake now so you don't have to read more if you're not interested 🙂

Okay so the first section I consider a like Retrieval Information section– It answers questions like have I read this? Where can I find it? Who wrote it? Is there a podfic? Who recorded it? What stage in the writing process is it (One Shot, Multi Chapters, Work In Progress, Abandoned)? Was it written for a challenge/ is it in a collection (excluding personal favorite collections which there are so many of on ao3 I swear- pet peeve but I get it I was once one of those people, now I have a database that I've sunk too much time into lol)

The sorting section is actually automatically filled out based on the Creator information, I explained my tbr sorting is based on favorite, prolific, or new to the fandom authors so it's easiest to trust pull that information from the Creator record in a roll-up property because then I can move everything in a group if I miss something at the end of the week when I'm adding things.

Story info is pretty self-explanatory in my opinion, I pulled all of it from ao3 though I will fudge the information if I read a fic on Tumblr that isn't cross-posted. The pages it's not really useful per se. Just something that I think is interesting. It's also based on the PDF versions that you can download on ao3 and even then not really because I just averaged out the pages on one fic and have been dividing page numbers by that number for ages lol. Timeline I mentioned in my previous post. It's all based on 911 because I am currently hyperfixated on it to a degree that is genuinely… not great.

Authorized Tags… I'm still working on this. This is the time consuming project. I decided to make the multi-select property Tags– which has an insane amount of tags in it, which are all kind of jumbled because I was using different language for all of them like for instance “Evan Buckley is a Teacher” and “Bartender Buck” are both tags in that property but also it's just in that section so I can't even see everything that's in there and at this point there's over like 200+ tags that I can't really search very well and I can't really browse fics in the tags easily so it limits use in that way. Also, there's no real organization so everything that could be tagged wasn't there- also creators all use tags in very different ways so a lot of that was me tagging fic as I read them because this is a personal database, it's just what I want to do. But basically Authorized Tags is *loosely* based off of Authorized Heading from my cataloging course lol. Basically I've cleaned up the language and created more of a type and tier organization (“Evan Buckley is a Teacher” and “Bartender Buck” are now “Teacher! Buck” and “Bartender! Buck” respectfully and are specific character tags under the broad character tag of “Not a Firefighter! Evan Buckley”) so I'll be able to find things easier… when I finished retagging the like 3000 records that I've been tagging multi select up until now 😭. This is also giving me the chance to pull my OOC/Bashing tag into a little alien 👽 check box- like I said the tags are mine some creators tag way more extensively than me, others imo under tag– bashing isn't a DNF for me and I just ignore it when fix are tagged “Specific Character! Bashing” because sometimes people will tag that when it's just canon accurate behavior in my opinion? And again actual bashing doesn't bother me *most of the time* but it is one of the things that I want to know about effect on first glance if I'm going to reread.

Series was a single select property up until my last post actually… it was much easier to convert because unlike tags not every fic is in a series lol. But also I am going to go back and see if there were any fics that aren't in what I would consider a series but are how some creators use series like a place where they collect their one shots or a bunch of fic that they wrote with a single trope or even personal entries to fandom challenges, I also decided to use this database to track works that were inspired by other works if it's a very direct correlation– like if there's a sequel or one shot in the same world written by another Creator. The previous/next relations direct to other related works within the database, if Fic 1 is previous to Fic 2, Fic 2 is next to Fic 1. You'll be surprised how long it took me to add these fields or you'll think it's overkill– it's both. Part of the reason that I really needed these is because both the tags and the series properties were select properties. I could tag a fic as a sequel fic but that didn't directly connect me to its predecessor, I can see that'll work as part of a series but I would still have to leave the record to then go and look to see what else is in that series. It's kind of a non-issue. Obviously all of this is non-issues. This is way too in-depth for what it is. But it's going to be even more of a non-issue now that Series is a separate database but I'll probably still keep it for conveniences sake because if nothing else it is convenient.

Housekeeping– when did I start and when did I finish the fic? Was it a favorite? Was there a quote that I took note of while reading it?

Meta-Metadata (I had that labeled as just metadata for an embarrassingly long time considering literally the entire record is metadata…) I used to have a record created property but it broke somehow. I don't know I want it back. I'm going to try at some point. I just haven't gotten around to it. It's not like a useful thing. It's just interesting to see how long after a record is created I back get around to reading it you know? But the two check boxes there are formulas attached to the read status. The first one includes up-to-date works as read And the second one only includes read read works as read– I like keeping up to date with a few authors so if they have work in progress work that I am keeping up to date with, I want it included in their tally on their record. So I have two separate roll-ups for read lol.

You'll see on the completed record that the only thing that I have written in the bottom part is reread dates. I don't know, I've never felt the need to take notes outside of the records? Or if I do, it's very rarely. I haven't really figured out a way to record reread dates in a way that doesn't seem clunky to me so I just put it there.

But yeah as you can see way too extensive lol a lot of these properties won't apply to every fic and are therefore hidden when empty (a few are always hidden in the collapsed view (Next/Previous notably) because if I'm looking for that information I'll look for it, you know?)

So here is a completed record of one of my favorite fics!

As you can see, a few things have been collapsed the labeling is always hidden because I don't really need it it's just so it's not a wall of properties on the back end, but you can also easily find the information that's important in my opinion?

Hey, I really like your art and historical Hetalia Poland content and I would be absolutely delighted to hear what you think about the Republic of Cracow, existing 1815-1846, and the Free City of Gdańsk (Danzig), existing in the interwar, in Hetalia terms. Like, did they exist, who were they, are they dead, alive? How old? As easy as the situation with Cracow is, as it existed and stopped to one day (after having had its independence slowly removed for years beforehand), the Free City of Gdańsk had existed twice actually, in the interwar and the Napoleonic era. But I digress, so what do you think about them?

Tbh I have no idea.

I was never interested in personified cities nor anything else than actual nation.

But if I had to come up with the way to include them, it would probably be something like this:

There are like two tiers for personification. Tier 1 is for nations, self-explanatory; second is for most important cities, states etc. Capital for example seems to be pretty important, but also other cities. And for second tier it's not really a personification per se, but rather a representative. It would be a regular human, and people vote who will be their representative. Perhaps there is some kind of list that have conditions when city can get this type of representation. But I don't know what kind of witchcraft priest would have to perform next on them so they can become immortal. But not for eternity, once they loose this status they start to age as before and eventually die.

So for both Free City of Gdańsk and Republic of Cracow it's a person, maybe politician, maybe someone else, who gain status and goes back to be normal human later.

Although this need more thinking, because I kinda made it up in the shower few hours ago.

I hope my interpretation is not disappointing.

But it is interesting question from world building perspective, maybe I would have better idea if I spend more time on this, but for now it's all I can say.

It’s different for everyone, so I need to properly clarify it and how I view it before you all go:

“WHOA WAIT YOU GAVE THIS A B TIER?! YOU DIDNT LIKE THEM?!”

No.

A B Tier is not equivalent to a failure. I’m not the education system where anything below an A is something to be ashamed of.

So here’s a rundown:

F Tier is for the GARBAGE characters.

And I NEVER want to see them again.

They’re miserable to watch on screen, with next to no redeemable qualities about them, and their screen presence actively makes the media worse.

Pretty self explanatory there.

D Tier is a bit LESS hateable than the previous.

I dislike them. I can safely say I dislike them. But they’re not as bad as they could’ve been. They have SOME redeemable qualities.

Maybe there’s a few lines from them I like. Or a character moment or aspect I like. Something that prevents them from being an F.

But I still don’t like them and don’t look forward to seeing them again.

C Tier is for completely average characters that are just there.

Like… “Yep. That’s a character that exists.”

I don’t love them. I don’t hate them. They’re fine. They didn’t do anything right. They didn’t do anything wrong. They’re alright. But that’s it.

You’ll find I often give C Tiers to characters that I have next to nothing to say about and/or have next to no strong feelings towards.

One ear and out the other.

I’m not really anticipating to see more of them anytime soon.

B tier is for the characters I WOULD want to see more of. As such, it’s the first outright GOOD tier on the list.

I like them. For one reason or another, I like them. Maybe it’s because they have a cool design or a cool personality or a cool story. Whatever the case, I can safely say I like them and want to see them happy… and for more of their potential to be utilized.

I wouldn’t lose sleep over them or anything, nor would I think they were groundbreaking with whatever potential they had, it depends, but I like them.

A Tier is a solid, entertaining, engaging character.

I have some gripes, whether it be a writing choice or something they did, or whatever. But they are great and engaging and I do see myself losing sleep over them. And if they’re someone else’s favorite, I can totally see that.

S Tier is for AWESOME characters.

I have little to nothing to complain about because they’re just THAT good. Engaging to watch on screen, leave such a strong impact on things, and are intriguing to inspect.

This tier is the BIASED TIER.

I’m completely 100% bias with any character I put here.

I don’t care what their quality was. I don’t care what their role was. You just need a requirement to get here: Make me OBSESSED with them.

You bet I lose sleep over them for whatever reason.

These are my favs.

S Tier is for characters that are technically the best. This tier is for my favorites. That’s the difference.

Cool? Cool.

Which would you say is worse, The Mountain King or The Fifty Year Night?

I went into this fully expecting to say The Fifty-Year Night. It's kind-of the poster child for the parts of Hilda I don't like; it's a microcosm of all the things Season 2 did wrong, it's the episode that's probably inspired more of my fics than any other (and that's not a good thing), and the one time I made a tier list of episodes, it earned its own tier below the normal 'worst'. On the other hand, The Mountain King does have some major bits I like. But I don't just want to say that without some actual thought, so I've decided on a criteria.

Basically, the worse storyline is the one I'd have to change the most in order to fix.

I've talked extensively about The Fifty-Year Night before, and I've also talked about fixing it before. I went into this in my post about fixing Season 2, but I'll go over it here, too, for people who haven't or don't want to read that post (which is completely okay). Fundamentally, I have 3 problems with this episode:

Johanna is unfair to Hilda, and the narrative blames Hilda for it.

The content of this episode is darker and more distressing than a Hilda episode should be.

The complexities of the time travel aren't really explained, and ultimately some things don't make sense.

I won't labour point 1, because I think it's self-explanatory and I've been over it before. Point 2 is really about all the genuinely awful death scenes in this episode, which are just too far for Hilda as a show. And point 3 is something I've seen brought up a few times - it's never actually explained how time worms or changing the past actually work, which leads to weird questions like "is the old future deleted, or does everyone get duplicated and a time worm eats the wrong future people?" - Tildy still being around implies it's the latter, but then the original Johanna is still around and the time worm ignores her - or "why does the enchantment apply to every copy of the magazine, but destroying only one of them stops it?"

For the first point, my solution is simply to gut this episode of any mother-daughter conflict. I actually did this in my Season 2 fix, even when keeping the Stone Forest; the core of this episode is the genuinely beautiful might-have-been of Mr. Ostenfeld and Tildy, and that doesn't rely on anything surrounding Johanna. For the other issues, there is a fix already written hiding in a very unusual place:

Normally, I don't recommend the tie-in novels. They have a lot of issues, and this one is no exception. But weirdly, the version of Fifty-Year Night in this book does actually fix the issues I have with the time travel stuff.

There's no child death, and the Ostenfelds all sort of 'glitch out' in a tonally-good creepy way before they get eaten, so they're not screaming etc. So that's already dealt with. But this version also does away with having the original Tildy show up at the end, and instead gives his role to the original Mr. Ostenfeld, who survives and has a geniune arc instead of being unceremoniously dumped halfway through; this gives him a much more meaningful ending, but also confirms that nobody from the original timeline is still around in the future, which clears up the time-travel confusion. He's actually pretty much the only adult Hilda forms a genuine connection with in the tie-ins (besides a minor character in The Great Parade.)

So, to fix The Fifty Year Night, I'd take that. I'd combine the genuine heartfelt emotion of the show version (which the novel does miss), with the softer and more sensible mechanics of the tie-in novel, and then just bypass the Hilda & Johanna stuff entirely. Honestly, it's not a huge script change to make it into something that would work with the tone and feeling of S1.

The Mountain King, on the other hand, is actually a tougher nut to crack. It does have a lot of stuff I like, and on the surface, it doesn't seem like its problems are much worse:

Trylla is genuinely unlikeable and her 'redemption' doesn't work.

Erik gets off too lightly (TBF this one is less important).

Again, some scenes are just too distressing for this series.

Frida and David's storyline is functionally irrelevant.

The problem is that fixing these to my standards would require substantial changes to the story. Point 1 (and really point 3) are central to the story; the whole thing is about a kidnapping, a genuinely unforgiveable act that only gets compounded (twice) later on, and yet we have to sympathise with the kidnapper. Likewise, point 4 exists because David and Frida aren't main characters in the graphic novels, so they weren't in the original version of this storyline at all (barring a brief appearance by Frida in The Stone Forest that provides Johanna with the motivation to be awful).

There is, I think, a way to fix The Mountain King, and turn it into the finale that the first two seasons deserved. But that way involves ripping out the entire main thrust of the plot. Because what I would do to fix it is remove the changeling stuff entirely, and turn David and Frida's story into the central one.

The Hilda movie should have been about Hilda and her friends actually working to stop Erik and the Safety Patrol from going to war with the trolls. It should have been about them starting a movement amongst the students; about them reaching out to all of the creatures they've met and befriended so far, to prove that they're not bad and to protect their homes; about them standing up for something, from the start, and showing the people of Trolberg that they don't need to be afraid of what's outside the walls.

I'd keep the climax the same - I'd probably have Hilda still tricked into freeing Trundle (he promises her he'll lead the trolls to peace or something similar) - but I'd only keep the David & Frida stuff beyond that. I'd rework Trylla entirely, into Hilda venturing into the Stone Forest to find that troll mum who helped her before in order to learn the truth and stop Trundle. And I'm sure the result would be amazing, but it would be pretty much unrecogniseable compared to the movie we actually got.

And that's why, honestly, as much as The Mountain King has more stuff I like in it, I'd say it's worse. Because to fix The Fifty-Year Night, I only need to tweak some things; to fix Mountain King, I need a sledgehammer.

Made an Engage tier list, this is purely from a combat standpoint not about how they are as characters! Gonna put some explanations under the cut. There are two spoilers at the very bottom of the explanation so beware of going below the D Tier section!

Okay obviously I lied bc Sommie is at the top but how was I gonna see him and not put him there? Anyways!

S Tier: I genuinely never thought Alcryst would be very good but his insane Dex growths combined with a high Dex cap makes Luna an invaluable tool that procs often. If you give him an energy drop or two, while not necessary in the least, he'll become an actual nuclear warhead. Chloe is S because her availability + really good personal magic growth combined with Griffin Knight just being a pretty good class makes it so that if you give her a Levin Sword even as early as chapter 8 or 9 she'll be melting everything in sight and retains nearly that level of viability for the rest of the game. Panette shines with Ike though sometimes I give him to Diamant. Even still, slightly nerfed when paired with Hector she is still an i n s a n e unit and I would recommend placing her on any and every team composition you'll ever have. Genuine demon of a unit and I love her dearly. Seadall is self explanatory, dancer always S Tier.

A Tier: Jean wasn't on this list for some reason but he'd be at the top of A if he was. So much potential, he can do pretty much anything very well especially with Veronica. Hortensia's staff +1 range utility paired with pretty decent stat growths makes her the best healer imo. Yunaka paired with Corrin outshines any other dagger user in my experience though I do plan on messing around with her viability with Chrobin. Anna paired with Camilla as an axe Mage Knight makes amazing use of Camilla's skills and weapons, I'm aware that Sage Anna with Byleth is also very good but I'm very partial to this setup. Rosado reclassed into great knight and paired with Tiki becomes immortal against physical damage after a few levels it's wild. Alear being this high may be a surprise but they can be very good when reclassed immediately into wyvern knight after promotion. Kagetsu is someone I haven't used but I can't deny that everyone seems to think he's very good. Merrin provides good utility when paired with Lucina to poison foes during chain attacks due to her movement range and good stats. Louis is this high up due to his availability, amazing tank up until Diamant can take off or you get Rosado going and then he starts falling off.

B Tier: Diamant makes a good off-tank when paired with Ike, especially if he gets lucky with Sol. Goldmary is another candidate for Lucina who can make chain attacks a damage carry if you handle her properly on the hero class. Ivy is a competent unit though from what I've seen/read I messed up by not giving her speed buffs from Lyn which I plan to do in this run. Jade is another competent tank that falls off in endgame. On paper Zelkov seems better than Yunaka, however her synergy with Corrin and personal skill has her winning out to a large degree against him in my opinion. Good replacement option though if you get unlucky with her growths/lose her. Lapis is another good replacement option for Kagetsu specifically, she makes a very good Swordmaster though I also enjoyed her as a wyvern knight. Pandreo is the second best healer imo and can deal very good damage if set up properly/paired with Soren though I don't recommend this late-game as I'll explain later. Céline can be very good early game though she falls off quickly especially if reclassing Anna to Mage Knight and using Ivy.

C Tier: Etie I feel is a good unit though I can't deny that she falls off quickly when compared to Alcryst and in a game with such few deployment slots compared to viable characters I can't justify using her. Alfred is another character that falls off quickly due to his unique class being redundant with his low Dex scaling and his growths not being viable enough to justify another class. Admittedly I haven't used Amber much though from what I have experienced/seen/read he doesn't distinguish himself much at all. Framme makes a competent healer if you lose Hortensia or Pandreo, otherwise I'd recommend dropping her ASAP. Citrinne relies nearly entirely on Olwen's S rank bond ring Dire Thunder ability, she simply doesn't have the stats anywhere but her damage to justify anything else or being any higher. I'm actually not too sure on Vander, as with every Jagen I drop him very quickly so I'm not sure how he scales. Haven't heard much though so he can't be too fantastic.

D Tier: God I wish Timerra was more viable, I love her as a character but she's so utterly RNG reliant that I can't justify investing in her on hard mode especially when her role is filled far easier and more reliably by Diamant. Clanne is someone who if you're absolutely committed to using him should be reclassed to an axe unit to make use of his good accuracy and related growths however I don't personally find it worth it. Fogado suffers from somewhat lackluster growths and an utterly useless unique class, reclass to Warrior if determined to use him but there are much better options. Boucheron is a sad case because while you can make him viable it takes pretty hefty investment and quite some time to set up. Other than that one specific setup he's simply not good. Bunet I love you you out and proud creature, absolute freak of a character but I can't think of a single case you'd want him on a team other than a niche setup with Celica's food skill and even then it's more gimmick than anything.

Mauvier would go in B Tier right behind Diamant. He may join rather late but his scaling is actually very decent and his base stats get ramped up very quickly with a little bit of work. I'd recommend giving him a try just for the sake of judging for yourself.

Veyle is a curious case because while I'd place her in A tier between Rosado and Alear I can see why some people put her in C Tier. She has two specific niches: a Celica Echo Draconic Hex setup to become a dedicated debuffer and the other being paired with Soren. This is what I was referencing above and why I place Veyle in A tier, when paired with Soren she becomes a perpetual near unkillable glass cannon to an unbelievable degree. Takes insane damage but heals it back almost instantly, I've seen her solo entire maps with this setup on higher difficulties.

Riddle

He likes the fact that XLR8 is extremely fast, he even picked up a talent at rollerskating because of it. :3

Four arms is a sort of close favorite, mostly because of the strength to just punt anything into the sun. He won't outright say it, but if it wasn't for swampfire, 4 arms would be Riddle's favorite full transformation.

Swampfire is his favorite full transformation. I believe it is pretty self explanatory. :'3

He doesn't really like echo echo that much, but alas, he finds it OK to be able to have duplicates. It's like working in a perfectly coordonated team, which is a breath of fresh air from the *ahem* a certain duo.

Wildvine is Riddle's favorite half transformation alongside Heat-blast. Again, for pretty self explanatory reasons. When in half transformation, roses grow out of his left eye, which Riddle didn't know why. Later on, after an eye test, he found out that his left eye has a slightly bigger number and couldn't see as well in distance than with his right eye, who was perfectly fine. It wasn't something that outright needed glasses or lenses, but it is something that Riddle only found out because of his half Wildvine transformation.

Goop is more of Riddle just relaxing a bit. A few times when in this form, he could be seen resting as a smol lil puddle. Ace once caught him in a jar, which resulted with a heavy collar and a lecture. :'3

Heat-blast, again, is a favorite half transformation. This is also one of those half transformations that Adeuce and Jack find absolutely badass looking, which only ranks it higher as a favorite. :D

Diamond head is probably one of the reasons Riddle picked up ingineering design. At how he summons those crystals, he had to study how to make quick and sturdy structures, not just raise a wall and hope to work. :'3

Big chill is a pretty wierd experience, because when in half form, he doesn't look intimidating at all(Ace's words, not his) but it's a very versatile alien. Sometimes, if he still has a few minutes after a fight/training and Ace, Deuce or jack would need some cooling, they would huddle around Riddle since he was basically free fridge. :'3

Upgrade is the reason Riddle picked up mechanics. Although upgrade relies on imagination too, Riddle had very poor imagination and as such, the next best thing was either to ask Adeuce or Jack or just study about machines in general. :'3

Ghostfreak is more of a salty transformation, but also one Riddle loves to use to spook Adeuce. These 2's reactions are always priceless. :'3

Wildmutt. His first and the one Riddle feels like he should use more often, but his pride won't let him go batshit crazy and rip to shreds an enemy.

Kalim

Uses XLR8 when he wants to steal an extra cookie after Jamil said enough for the day. :'3

Four arms is seen by Kalim as a top tier hugger. Jamil doesn't believe it that much but meh :'3

Swamp fire is one of Jamil's personal favorites, but Kalim finds it meh (no hard feelings, pls :'3) it's a combo of Wildvine and Heat-blast in Kalim's eyes.

Echo echo! One of the favorite full transformations! :D

Wildvine is definitely on the meh tier, mostly since Kalim does not really know how to use the plants in other ways than to crack a whip on the enemy's back. :'3

Goop! the precious Goop is one of his absolute faves :D

Heat-blast is Kalim's first transformation and holds a special place in his heart as both first time and also special bug extermination method Jamil approves of.

Diamond-head is Kalim's favorite half transformation for 1 motive: shiny :3

Big Chill is a form Kalim rarely embraces because it has those scary vibes. Same thing applies to Ghostfreak as well.

Upgrade is fun, but breaking the freezer is not :'3

Wildmutt is the only time Kalim truly acts like he's absolutely free. Jamil just thinks it's ironic how Kalim acts like a gigantic golden retriever :'3

Epel

XLR8, Four arms and Wildmutt are his favorite and he would fight you on it :'3

Swampfire is more neutral to Epel. He just doesn't see the appeal. But he considers it a far better mix of Heatblast and Wildvine.

Epel doesn't really enjoy that echo echo is smol.

Wildvine, much like Heat-blast are cool, but Epel would say that Swapfire is just a mix of the 2.

Goop is fun, Goop can stain Vil's curtains, Goop is great!

Epel appreciates that Diamond head is stronk and 'ripped', even more cool when he learns to control the said

Big chill is such a cool transformation in Epel's eyes. He isn't a big fan of the more eerie intimidating, but he thinks it's pretty awesome how the temperature drops around him or how his wings can turn into a cloak/poncho

Upgrade! The reason why Vil doesn't let Epel drive. EVER.

And Wildmutt! The absolute favourite! Vil would probably appreciate it if Epel won't chew his carpets :'3

Idia

He uses XLR8 for deliveries pickups or faster fights. Thankfully, Idia seems to be a naturally born roller skater, talent which he never knew he had. Ortho really wants to go rollerskating, but that still needs some time of convincing :'3

Four arms falls in the same category as Diamond head in the 'big stronk hunks', what sets the 2 apart is that 4 arms is even more stronger, while Diamond head has Idia always inventing new ways to use those cristals.

Swamp fire falls in the same category with Wildvine, where Idia sometimes forget that he can regenerate his cut plant limbs. Sometimes he still freaks out about it. :'3

Ortho adores echo echo, so Idia sometimes indulges for his brother to pat him on the head when in that transformation. :3

Goop is the first transformation Idia experienced and he sometimes uses it to hide around or manage machines from inside.

Heat-blast is great for Idia. It feels right with his motifs, but he has poor control over the flame expansion once he ignites something. He is still working on it. :'3

Now, Big chill is a favorite and as such Idia often uses this transformation, mainly because of the cold atmosphere it creates, as such he usually hugs Ortho like this when his circuits might overheat. That or use ghostfreak post book 6. :3

Upgrade is another favorite, because Idia just has a long experience with machines and experiments on it. That's why it's a favorite.

Wildmutt is more or so a fun one for Idia, especially when he can't properly see people, but just sense their presence. If he doesn't see them, he feels better and as such has a better performance. But sight is also something Idia does rely on a lot so when Wildmutt is out, Ortho does have to guide him with a few things.

"Accordion VST" ★☆☆☆☆ self explanatory. got it around 1 or 2 years after i started making music for lofi songs. i couldnt get it to sound like i wanted n blend in well with the other instruments so i only used it a couple times. im thinking of trying it again messing around with filters since at the time of use i didnt know how to do that

"Revitar" ★★★★★ acoustic guitar plugin, sounds very folk. absolutely adore and also the very first plugin i got. since my version of flstudio didnt have any acoustic guitar plugins. can be tuned to sound like a shamisen <3 revitar loads poorly in my experience (just doesnt open on boot/loading it) but i always manage to get it to work eventually and its so good i forgive it.

"DSK Dynamic Guitars" ★★★☆☆ classical guitar plugin. got it i think like 5 years ago bc i wanted a guitar plugin that wasnt revitar. not perfect but does the job.

"DSK Overture" ★★★★★ iirc second plugin i got after revitar. it's a plugin for orchestra type instruments. i think i got it bc i wanted a violin. this plugin is amazing as it does many many instruments n i do use most of them. also some "instruments" are actually combo presets. you can set 4 of instruments to play at once (including the combos) which is ideal to mix them and get interesting sounds. absolute fave.

"EasternONE" ★☆☆☆☆ another versatile plugin i got early on when i started music. it does several instruments (though not as many as DSK Overture) among which: aud, accordion, santur, kaman, etc. kinda like accordion vst i used it a few times but not that much. also have a hard time blending the sounds with other instruments in a satisfying way. it does sound way more real and less digital then other plugins.

"NES VST" ★★★★☆ plugin for retro nintendo shape sounds: square, triangle, noise. perfect for that electronic sound and easily tunable <3 loses a star bc requires some work to fit effectively with other instruments.

"Mini Erhu" ★★★★★ self explanatory: erhu plugin. has several presets to instantly get different ways for it to sound. mixes very well with other instruments. absolutely perfect i love it so much. its just a sound i love. makes my music sound so weird since i mash it with other instruments in like electronical music etc and yea! idk how to make normal music! anyway its only dramatic downside is that the range is abysmal. otherwise so good.

-native instruments- (came with my FLstudio 12 version fruity edition - bc im fruity and its the shit tier of the paying versions.)

"Boobass" ★★★★☆ very classical bass that fits most modern sounding songs. a lil bland for my taste but perfect for not emphasizing bassline too much

"FLKeys" ★★★★★ // ★★★★☆ piano synth plugin. used to be perfect but in my version it broke so i can only use the shittier presets and i have to tune it every single time i use it. does not save presets. does not let me use my fave setting which was the grandpiano one </3 never got to work normally again.

"FLSlayer" ★★★★☆ electric guitar plugin for rock or metal. very versatile for bass, rhythm guitar or solo guitar sound. it comes with a bunch of different "amps" also. just pretty good. dramatical downside is that it takes forever to tune to get the exact sound you want and mix it with other instruments.

"Fruity limiter" ★★★★☆ it's a limiter. always on by default and i never thought to turn it off. have no opinion on it.

"Fruity Reeverb 2" ★★★☆☆ a reverb plugin, fun to play around with to make the song sounds like its in a big orchestral room or something. i cannot be trusted to use it responsibly so ive stopped using it altogether lately.

"EQUO" ★★★★☆ another limiter, very versatile to give interesting shapes to sounds. i use it to get kind of a retro, desaturated sound. very much love.

there. hopefully this gives some insight about how i fully use FLStudio to almost 1% of its capacity. good nite.

also i did not elaborate on drumlines plugins thats bc i broadly dont care about drumline so much so i have way less of an opinion on them. i use most of the native plugins + DSK Overture for the drumline
