As a young sapphic who's still in high school and coming into her identity, it gives me chills sometimes when my mom laughs and talks of a possible near future where she hopes to marry me to a boy(and goes on to talk of how he must be from the same community and I should be glad I'm not marrying my cousin). It makes me wanna work harder and get a scholarship to go abroad as far as I can. Any advice or hope?

Hey anon, first of all, thank you so much for sharing, and know that you're not the only one who feels this way.

This is a bit anecdotal but let me tell you a story of how, literally two days ago, I went to this local south asian pride event. In hindsight, there weren't a lot of people there. Maybe upwards to about 80 to 100 people? However, when I arrived, I was overwhelmed by the sheer amount of queer desi people just present. And I'm talking trans people, genderqueers, asexuals, people in poly relationships, and people of all genders in lehengas and kurtas and rainbow saris. There were people out to their parents and even more not out, preferring to live freely and safely.

Even as a queer person myself, I could not comprehend how many people there were like me and different from me. And I am fortunate to live in a very tolerant country. I remember saying out loud "Oh my god there are so many people here," and someone replying "Yeah, we exist outside of the screen too." I think it occurred to me then that maybe it's not a matter of me being alone, but me choosing to be because I'm always overwhelmed, shy, or terrified of the consequences of not meeting expectations.

Basically, anon, I'm trying to say that there is always hope. And often, community is much closer to you than you think. There are many of us living in similar circumstances. However, just like you, we fight in our own little ways. Some of us push back marriage to "focus on our careers", some might indoctrinate their parents in tiny ways until they are a little more tolerant than before, and others straight up come out after they have established themselves independently (these people are braver than any soldier to me). Either way, no matter the circumstance, we are always fighting.

Study hard, and go to a college far away. Or study hard and go to a college close by. Stay with your parents or don't stay with them. Get a job, or don't. Either way one day you will be an adult and you will find that community, and you will learn how to fight even harder than before.

How? The fan translation states "walked off beside someone like you, Itadori" not "walked off beside you, Itadori". Clearly (apparently, not, my bad), Megumi was making a comparison.

If he is really trying to state something here about his sister's love life (which is weird, let's be real), he is probably trying to say he wants Tsumiki to have a partner that is a good person just as she and Yuji are.

Even with the framing, I don't think this is him imaging Tsumiki and Yuji dating. It's him imagining the most important, most cherished people in his life. Tsumiki, the only family he really has ever known and Yuji, the boy who has done everything he can to help Megumi since the day they met and forming a bond with him.

Also, when in the manga has Megumi actually been interested in looking for a partner for Tsumiki? He was trying to save her from the coma she got put in! And then later, save her from the Culling Games!

And just Megumi being Megumi, him playing matchmaker for his sister is so off!

"But what about the thing with Yuko?"

Megumi was a spectator if anything else, let's be real. It was Nobara helping Yuko out and Megumi was just there to react and answer questions.(Hell, Nobara even later got agitated at the idea of Yuji getting a partner before she does.) He brought a book with him, for crying out loud. Does that seem like someone who is trying to play matchmaker?

Him putting up a ten points sign was just another scene of him being impressed by Yuji. It was no different from when he said Yuji could beat any of them in a hand to hand fight without cursed energy involved or when he complimented straight to Yuji about how adaptable he is in a fight.

He wanted Yuji's life spared because he couldn't see another good person die. Not because "my comatose sister needs a boyfriend".

If Megumi wanted Tsumiki and Yuji to be "a couple", then how come he never bragged about how great of a person she is after Yuji (and Nobara) learned about her? How come he only told Yuji to "save him" and not "save Tsumiki" when he wanted help to save Tsumiki?

I already seeing people make the "Fushiguro wants the bloodline continued" "jokes" and honestly, ew, gross.

Maybe, it's just me, but it's feels invasive at the thought of one sibling trying to shape another sibling's love life.

Hell, even still, Megumi pushing Yuji to date his sister? He would really try to get Yuji to do that without considering how Yuji feels? For real?

It's him wishing that his sister had someone who she can also form a bond with just as he had with Yuji and for that someone to be like Yuji.

I'm actually surprised to not see those same people making the "Megumi wants Yuji and Tsumiki to date" even make a remark on Yuji saying how lonely he would be without Megumi.

Is it because you can't interpret it any other way than how much Yuji cares about Megumi? Because, didn't not too long ago people were trying to say Yuji didn't care for him? Now that the last two chapters (265 - 266) disproved that AGAIN, I feel like these people are grasping at straws to come up with anything to not admit that there are mutual feelings between Yuji and Megumi.

Same fandom were some people were making incest jokes at Megumi's expense so now he's "beating the allegations" that were never there in the first place. Huh? What?

Concept: Stupid magic user erases knowledge of Bat family from world as part of very dumb plan, Gotham only knows them as rumors and that’s because they’re Gotham’s heroes and Bruce has TONS of magic neutralizing things scattered around Gotham just in case, Justice League knows something is off but can’t quite figure out what’s going on and Batman’s annoyed with everyone questioning him while he’s trying to clean up the mess and the Robins (Robins will be a term that includes Cass even though she’s possibly the only one that never wore the R which is sad and needs to be fixed) decide now is a good time to troll the league (possible dash of angst because Tim’s friends don’t know who he is and the poor boy needs his friends or Tim takes this time to troll them more than he’s been able to for years and Tim is my favorite Robin)

Featuring Batman on Watchtower and for some reason the majority of his kids decided to follow, because they’re all chaotic trolls, and that includes Batman

She pretended to feel cold and got to be taken inside, Leo made her some hot cocoa and put his favorite movie on the TV, and it had been comfortable. Until she remembers Liam and Star were left alone to deal with Ray how they pleased.

Amy shakes her head, that wasn't the time to think about those things. Master told her to do the laundry, he said it was a good chance to use her hands more, since they didn't stop shaking.

She kept to herself that it was because she was still scared of what happened that day.

Master said she had to fold her clothes, and then put them away. If she did it well, she could earn an extra cookie for dinner.

It was hard getting used to being praised for anything she did right, instead of being punished when she got it wrong.

"Where is Star?" Amy had been looking for them since the morning, she wanted to talk about what happened, and maybe ask for some blush so Master didn't notice her pale face, but she couldn't find them anywhere.

"Master took them outside." This time Leo didn't elaborate, which made Amy nervous.

"Is... Did he found out what happened with Ray or...?"

"Oh, no, no; it's nothing like that." Still, Leo's smile didn't meet his eyes. That was... worrying.

"Then why?"

Leo swallowed before leaning towards her, his lips almost touching her ear as he whispered.

"They say I'm just too dumb to understand, but I think Master wants us to think we are humans. Liam says it's just a test to prove our loyalty and love for him, but he's just really weird and-"

A loud slap startled Amy, making her take a step away from Leo. Liam was standing behind him, a thick book on hand, the one that he used to hit Leo.

"That's why you don't think. That's not your job." Leo whimpered, but was quickly shut up by another slap with the book Liam was holding. "Stop it. Master doesn't need to be bothered by you. Why don't you go and watch Tv or something? That sounds more like something you would do, instead of trying out thinking."

Leo nodded, his cheek turning red by the slap; and ran away.

Amy looked up at Liam, her lip quivering. What if Liam hit her too? What if he got angry because she asked? What if...?

"Oh, dear. Did he scare you?" She couldn't help but flinch away when Liam stretches out his hand to stroke her hair, wanting to avoid the worst of the slap, but there was no pain. "Don't mind Leo, I know you are smart enough to understand. Master... Master just wants to test our devotion towards him. You will be good and don't forget your place, am I right?"

"Y-yes. I won't." Amy tried to keep her voice steady, suddenly the guilt she felt vanished in the air, being replaced by a chill that ran down her spine. "Leo is... He likes to come up with some crazy stories. Master would never want us to be humans. He's kind, he would never do something like that."

Why would Master want them to be humans? So he wouldn't have to take care of them anymore? So they can come back to the streets? To starve and freeze to death?

That would be cruel. Master wouldn't want her to go back to the streets, would he? He wouldn't throw it she away. She could be better, she could, if Master only allowed her to-

"Shhh... It's okay. I know." A weird smile crept into Liam's face, something like..., pride? "Leo doesn't understand. Not even Star does. I thought you would be like them. But you are different."

Amy felt his hand slipping down to her shoulders. This was the second time she got a hug from Liam, and it felt so warm.

"Master won't throw us away. I promise. We just have to behave, no matter what he does, and prove to him we are good Pets for him."

"Is that even possible? If he choses to-"

"That won't happen." Amy wondered why Liam sounded so convinced, but didn't ask either. All that matters is that she will be loved. "We can work together. We can make them perfect for Master."

And Amy believes in him. That was what they were born to, to serve a master and be perfect for them.

Amy believes in Liam. They would make Master happy to have them.

Even if that was a little complicated.

Jack: transmasc (he/him mostly, but probably wouldn't mind they/them that much), bisexual. could see him being acespec, but sex favorable or indifferent. polyamorous.

Dave: nonbinary in a "i don't understand gender and idgaf about it" way (he/him, but honestly doesn't care. probably would find out about it/its pronouns and love those), pansexual. teach this guy about xenogenders i think he'd love those too. polyamorous (i can see it).

Peter: transfem bigender (he/she), and honestly doesn't know what her sexuality would be considering his weird gender situation (look, he grew up in the 50s-60s. the most exposure to the queer community she had was through Jack, and that wasn't. A Lot). me personally? i'd say lesbian. because Fuck It, Why Not?

Dee: technically cis because she never got to grow up and figure that stuff out (she/her), but i could see her growing up and being on the spectrum of GNC or Genderqueer (the genderqueer part is Definitely not me projecting (< lie)). also aroace (repulsed on both ends)

Henry: cis man (he/him; the first entirely cis person here), bisexual. listen. i heard that thing that was like. DD originally said he was bi but then changed it to straight after getting hate for it for some reason, and i decided to make it a situation where Henry just like. Acknowledged it was a thing for him but didn't really give any fucks because he busy Committing Crimes Against Humanity. everyone thinks he's straight though, 'cause he never mentions it (again, busy with Other Things. such as Causing Problems).

Caroline's as close as y'all are going to get to a cishet Dsaf character from these headcanons.

Matt: transmasc agender (he/him), aroace (romance indifferent/favorable (see: "I'm Matt! Everybody loves me!"), sex indifferent/repulsed (do i even need to explain it? i think we know why this was what i picked for him).

now, fun facts!!

Jack actually doesn't experience a lot of dysphoria, just upset that he doesn't have a dick. he doesn't even mind the boobs too much (except that they make people think he's a woman; that part sucks), he'd probably just like a binder. wouldn't mind top surgery, but y'know. Binders Are Easier To Get And Cheaper Than That.

Dee is romance repulsed in terms of herself for the most part (as in the idea of being romantic herself grosses her out). except for Davesport. she told Jack and Dave to "get a room" multiple times in the Flipside.

the first time in his life that Dave ever had to worry about gender stuff was when Henry was having to like. fill out paperwork and things like that to get him an ID of some kind. when they got to gender, Dave didn't really know why that was important, nor what would really fit. they just put "male" on there because technically that would "fit him best" (since he, y'know. has a dick), but Dave didn't feel like either option fit.

i feel like Jack went to a pride event/parade sometime before Dsaf 3. like, maybe he finally felt comfortable actually going there and being out safely for the first time in his life. it was nice.

Caroline helped Peter with her makeup after she came out, and with growing his hair out.

after coming home post-Dsaf 2, Peter actually tried some dresses out. they also found out a way to still put eyeliner on him. and that was using a Sharpie to draw under her phone dial to look like eyeliner. hey, it works.

Peter never got comfortable enough to wear lipstick before he died, though :( so she never got to experience that

yo it’s been a while but have a scenario where starlow discovers that she likes being ate:

starlow is up late at night being perplexed at her own thoughts as she’s been reflecting on the times in bowsers gut and that brief period of being eaten by the scutlet, being both disgusted by the fact she was inside someone unwillingly, and not liking the danger aspect, both from bowsers odd guts and the threat of being digested by the scutlet. However she can’t help but find comfort in it. The warm gut walls and the tightness of the scutlet’s stomach, she would have enjoyed being in a stomach if she had been eaten by a friend at her own will. So being conflicted if she likes or hates being in a stomach she goes up to maybe one of the Mario bros and sorta vents to them about her conundrum about both wanting and hating the idea of being eaten and then just, asks them to eat her. Thinking that she’ll just get denyied being told that wanting to be eaten is gross, she’s sorta surprised when the Mario bro she’s talking to agrees, and maybe stating she’s probably easy to swallow, she is a wee bit smaller than a mushroom after all. So she just, gets ate by one of the Mario bros, first acting like she’d be displeased but the second she comes into contact with their warm maw she freezes actually sorta enjoying the warmth as she’s easily swallowed down and squished into one of the plumbers guts. She just sits there for a while as she takes in the softness of the gut walls pressing into her slightly, the sounds of an idle stomach with an above heartbeat muffled yet clear, and most importantly the feeling of being safe within someone she knows, knowing they won’t try to digest her or tell her that this is weird. She just falls asleep, happy and content within one of the Mario bros and solidifying that yes, she does like to being swallows whole but only by a friend.

Straight up literally just had written like an idea for Starlow yesterday-

Most likely, it would be Mario. It’s not that she doesn’t trust Luigi, it’s just the fact she teases him so often that she doesn’t want to give him any kind of ammunition against her (even if they’d likely find common ground on it, but she doesn’t know that)

Of course, once people realize Starlows missing there may be some issues but if Luigi is aware he’d likely help throw people off the trail : )

(Or Luigi just sees the slight panic in Mario’s eyes and goes “oh I need to distract, something happened” granted if this happens, he will definitely demand to know what’s up)

The idea I wrote yesterday involved Luigi getting hurt, and the trio only having a mini shroom on them, and they needed a way to carry him in which he wouldn’t get hurt any further. It became decided that since Mario’s pocket can’t be fully reliable in case he himself gets hurt, Starlow could hold him since she doesn’t need to eat normally

(or maybe she needs to feed off of energy, that’d be a fun trope to explore)

So Luigi wakes up, he’s hurt and confused and has no idea where he is. And he freaks out when he realizes he’d been eaten

Even the fact that it’s starlow doesn’t calm him down, because he personally feels like starlow doesn’t like him at all and that winds up breaking Starlows heart

So later on when they get back to the castle and heal Luigi and get him normal sized again, starlow approaches him and wants to talk things through because she trusts him 100%. She wants him to feel the same way about her, because she doesn’t like the idea that he doesn’t trust her to keep him safe or try to keep him from harm despite the teasing she does.

(I’d say for this idea, then the idea of Starlow letting herself get eaten could come up with Luigi, as a way of like ‘payback’ or a trust exercise to prove she does trust Luigi 100%)

My biggest thing rn is I’m trying to come up with a way that the humans in the Mario universe can eat things safely 😅

Rn the biggest ideas are:

A new mushroom or flower that can protect the user from dangerous conditions

Kamek using his powers lol

Or e.gadd coming up with some kind of invention to make it safe

But trust me, this new game that just came out? I’ve got two fics I’m actively working on for mawrio and I’m about to make a third just on these ideas alone lol

i've been thinking about how (my) society treats cats lately and it's so weird to think about. like, @houzeheld went to an event recently and when the group of hosts was asked whether they prefer cats or dogs, they all had dogs, and one was even like "i can't stand cats". like, imagine if i said "i can't stand dogs" if someone asked me if i prefer cats or dogs lol.

the way people feel comfortable talking about cats and how much they don't like them would get you crucified if you talked about dogs that way. if i talked about how dogs are smelly and gross and i have to wash my hands after touching them (even tho i do like dogs very much lol but many of em are indeed smelly and gross), or, heaven forbid, someone says they "can't stand dogs", people would look at them like they're a monster.

and then conversely people are so comfortable talking about how cats are assholes, they're not affectionate, they don't love you, they couldn't care less if you're not around, or saying how they've never met a cat who liked them, or they've been around a cat that "hated" them for "no reason" (which, imo, says more about you than the cat; either you're misinterpreting their body language as uninterested/unfriendly bc you're expecting them to act like dogs, or you're doing something that's crossing a boundary of theirs and they're telling you to quit it).

earlier this month when i flew up to the new house w sailor, my mom and i were in the airport riding the lil tram thing and the lady next to us saw the pet carrier and excitedly asked if it was a little dog, and when i told her it's a cat, she just went "... oh. :|" and turned away lol like imagine if i asked someone if they had a cat in their carrier and when they told me their beloved pet was actually a dog i made a disgusted face and stopped talking to them gsjdflksdjlkf like that interaction was just funny to me but it's also really bizarre behavior when you think about how normalized it is.

i've maintained the theory that most people just have no idea how to interpret cat body language, and that most people try to apply dog body language to cats and then misinterpret cats as being aloof and/or unfriendly. my mom told me about how when she and my grandma arrived back at my mom's place from the airport a while back my mom said "the cats are so excited i'm back :)" and my grandma was very sarcastic about it bc she didn't think they seemed excited at all (probably bc they weren't running straight up to my mom and jumping on her like a dog might).

dogs have literally been bred to love us, and then held up as the ideal dynamic of the 'owner'/'pet' relationship. it's very hierarchical in a way that i think makes people entitled. i really think people (mostly unconsciously) believe that they deserve to be worshipped by their pet, and, maybe more importantly, that their pet shouldn't have the right to say "no" to them. that they should never have to /ask/ their pet something

that's just a problem in general, that we don't respect the boundaries of animals, but i was thinking about it yesterday cause i went up to the loft bc cowboy and sailor were up there and i wanted to take a video of them being pet bc they have such different affection styles (receiving and giving) and it's kinda funny. cowboy is more reserved and sailor is just like, getting lost in the sauce immediately.

cowboy's also just not as big a fan of being pet if he's not in a Being Pet Mood. he does like it in small doses, but he's sensitive and needs his space/gets overwhelmed quickly, so when i started petting him and went from his head to his side, he turned and gave my arm a light bite to tell me he didn't want me to touch his side. so i just moved on to sailor and pet her instead bc she loves being scritched/pet/patted/shaken/wiggled etc

n i was thinking about how people would probably interpret an interaction like that with cowboy as like, an inversion of the natural hierarchy on a base level, but would probably verbalize that as him not being friendly, or not being loving. i.e. i feed him, care for him, and love him, and yet he doesn't want to be pet by me?? he doesn't always want to be around me? what am i, whipped by my cat??

The “I am going to heal you with sex trope” always rubbed me the wrong way, it’s straight up gross. Like in manga or books when the main character is or nearly is SA’d (or has gone through any other type of traumatic experience) somehow the male character immediately thinks sex is going to solve all her problems. It just feels so uncomfortable to read, like “oh you nearly got assaulted? let’s have sex!” “you just watched your best friend be brutally murdered like a day ago?? well sex will get you mind out of it.”

I feel like there can be a middle ground with having someone with trauma being able to find the beauty and safety in being able to love and trust and have sex with another person again, that you have someone you can trust and knows will respect you and be safe with you, but it usually isn't handled well and jesus it really isn't in this story either

Like. It's chapter 18, she's only known this guy for like a week, maybe two, she's barely been rescued from her father, and they're on the couch watching a movie, the protag Ember, her future mate Blaze, and two other pack members who are mates. And Blaze notices Ember is sitting by herself on the couch occasionally looking at them and he starts to cuddle her so she doesn't feel alone and she actually doesn't mind it. She's not used to an actually positive physical touch. And you think, oh wow the first step in her healing, this is wholesome

and then it instantly cuts to "the mate bond is causing the touch to not just be calming but also arousing so this teenage incest victim who has never had a positive or even consensual sexual encounter is being made horny by an external force not by choice and now Blaze can smell it and is horny and wants sex" like ayo??? She's just trying to mind her own goddamn business right now why is it necessary for the stort and her journey to FORCE her to be horny right now? She doesn't even fully realize what being aroused even feels like or MEANS because her father and attackers never bothered with anyone's pleasure beside their own? Like this is super fucking creepy?

And the wolf is inside of him saying he should just take her to the bed right then and there, "can't you smell her, it's what she wants" and the human guy tells him that "scent does not mean consent" and its like oh so the author DOES have a small grasp on how fucking weird this is

I know I'm one to talk but like I chose this story because the description mentioned the progag being abused by her father and isolated and then finding her mate but there's absolutely no warning that the abuse includes incest or child abuse. I've had stories literally begin the chapter "this story or chapter may contain upsetting content including XYZ" and others are like "no we're going to vividly describe how this malnourished child feels as her father settles his weight on top of her and she can't even move because he's resting his full weight on her and punching her in the face repeatedly while he's about to--" like you know? You know? With darker stories it can be entertaining to encounter a shocking twist but some things really do need warnings, some topics you have to be in the right headspace to engage with and this was just. Stomach churning for me. The whole time I was thinking "please let it just be beating, please let this be her stepdad and not her actual blood father" and. I already told you how all that turned out 😒 time to find another betrayal/revenge story to listen to because not even just the sex stuff, they're giving these teenagers too much agency and maturity for how old they actually are and its just kind of jarring that these teenagers are kind of like running their entire packhouse while going to high school. I'd say I'm pretty extroverted, sassy and confident. I'm usually the jokester in any given group, with a habit of blurting out corny puns as soon as I think of them. When she finds out you like fungi, she starts a small fungus farm, although she keeps them away from her other plants to avoid cross contamination, she grows them in a little heart shape, since the fungus kinda grow in weird different size masses it doesnt really look like a heart but she tried.

even though your freckles are faint, she still likes to trace pictures across your skin, like connect the dots.

in regards of temper, the two of you are the same, not quick to anger but once you are... run. Especially if Amity is ticked off as well, you guys make quite the storm.

i bite my nails ok? i bite my nails, i like, gnaw on my hands, pick at my skin, shit like that, I always have. the gnawing thing is a stim, like, i'm autistic and sometimes i just have half my hand in my mouth trying to comfort myself or contain my feelings. which sounds gross, i know it does, trust me, i've been told, you don't have to tell me. i've tried to stop. i briefly stopped biting my nails. long nails are sensory HELL and something bad happened and i just fell right back into it and i never stopped any of the other stuff.

5 fun facts about Charlie

1) Her dad side of the family moved to Willow Creek from China back in the 1880s. Meanwhile, her mom was from China and her dad met her while visiting his ancestors’ country back in the late 70s. Also she was his second wife, and they have a significant age gap, so Charlie has a much older half-brother because of that, named Jeff.

2) Charlie is like, her actual full government name. It’s not short for Charlotte or anything. Her mom did use to call her Xiaoli when you know, they were still talking. It’s not on any of her paper however, but she did adopt it as a sort of middle name cause she didn’t had one and wanted to have one as a child cause all of her friend did.

3) Speaking of name, she has an extremely long and exhaustive list of all possible baby names. You know, in case she one day ends up having the child she longs for so hard. Mostly trendy names from the 2000s, gender neutral names, some Chinese names, some foreign names (you know in case her future husband is from a different country), potential nicknames, etc. She is prepared. 

4) As a child, Charlie used to be a fucking snitch and a massive rules sticker. She would tatle-tell anyone and everyone, on top of being unable to keep a secret. Once her brother bribed her to not tell their parents he had smoked weed, she took the money and told them anyway. She has gotten a lot better over the year and don’t do that anymore, though ironically considering how she is now, a lot of other kids did not trust her because of that.

5) She’s the token heterosexual of the group, like she’s painfully straight. and aside from the kinda odd way she talked about men, the way she talked about lesbianism itself was really weird. she said that she thought oral was gross, fingering was weird, strap ons were for fakebians only, and that vulvas were gross and she'd only touch one wearing a disposable glove. which barely leaves behind any lesbian sex acts. she isn't the most physically fit person so I doubt she has the flexibility to scissor, and does anyone just do like. humping on thighs. and never any other sex acts? in any case it doesn't rlly matter bc she talked about how she'd rather hold hands or kiss someone's wrist than have sex. plus she contradicted herself when talking about her sexual history a lot. like she said that she'd only ever had sex using dental dams and rubber gloves. but she also said she'd only had sex in prison standing up over corpses (lmao). and she'd also talked about how she liked having sex in extremely large bathtubs so big they're basically hot tubs. and she talked about how she only would have sex if her hair was curled and her makeup was done and she was wearing perfume etc, which makes it sound like she hasn't had sex yet bc she'd only want to do it under the circumstances of being very pampered beforehand. at first I thought she was a virgin and insecure about it, so that's why she kept telling sex stories that couldn't all be true at the same time. but I'm pretty sure she just lied to fit in with actual lesbians and lost track of which lies she'd already told.

and as for the ddlg stuff, it was a similar story. she was just doing things that gave off an adult baby vibe. you know how ppl with a certain kink will often bring it up out of nowhere ostensibly to make fun of it, like haha that's sooo weird who would be into that? even though nobody asked? that was her. plus she also commissioned toddler dresses (actual toddler dresses that had pictures of toddlers modelling them on the seamstresses website) in her size, which she'd spend quite a lot of money on, I checked the site and she had a ducky dress and a froggy dress from it which each cost $160. even though she claimed to live below the poverty line. plus during transanta, she scammed toddler backpacks and a $600 adult tricycle. those things by themselves aren't necessarily proof of her being into ddlg, she might just have a cutesy sense of style. but what seems to be proof is that in addition to the aforementioned items, during transanta she also added rompers from a company called littleforbig, which specialises in fetish clothing and adult pacifiers and the like for ppl into ddlg. and she knew that the company was for ddlg paraphernalia, bc she'd talked about how gross she thought it was that someone else on transanta requested things from this company on their gift registry. idk about anyone else, but as much as I like cute clothing myself (although not to the extent of going outside wearing a pinafore meant for 3 year olds in my size), I would never want to wear adult toddler clothing literally made to be fetish gear. and I certainly would not spend money on such a company, whether it's my own or tras.

plus we knew for sure that she lied about aspects of her identity just to make her positions seem more authoritative. like she was interested in indigenous canadian activism, so she claimed to have been raised by inuks and that she was a full member of the inuit nation and that she ate caribou and sewed seal skins and did soapstone carvings (she also claimed to have been raised by japanese-koreans and to have grown up in japan. and that she was roma but lived in chechnya. and probably other things I'm forgetting). and on her reddit she got into a fight with a woman on r/plussizefashion who posted pictures of her shein outfit (she claimed to be a big advocate for sustainable fashion despite scamming ridiculous amounts of cheap amazon knock off j-fashion and cartoon cosplay outfits during transanta), and in the middle of this argument started claiming she was a former child sweatshop worker from a developing country and that everyone who called her weird was tone-policing a victim. in my opinion, she probably is a bisexual who agreed with the gold stars during gold star discourse, but instead of just being honest about being a bisexual who happens to be pro-goldstar, she decided to pretend to be a goldstar herself to add more weight to her arguments. which also goes along with how her schtick of being a brown lesbian who went to jail and still didn't have sex with a man was basically a tailor-made response to the type of ngs on here who always brings up women in muslim countries being forcibly married to men as an explanation as to why they willingly slept with men (despite nearly all of them living in north america or europe and never being in a situation like that).

as for the tra on insta? it's possible that they're exaggerating, we don't have a way to know unless someone books a flight to halifax and gains entry to her student accommodation to see if you can really smell her dorm from out in the hallway or hear her having sex from another room. but we do think they at least actually know her and that some of the things they mentioned have some truth to them. mostly bc they talked about things we knew or suspected about gs sappho without us ever bringing them up first. for example, I asked sunlight-beauty (who was the one talking to them) to ask about the adult tricycle gs sappho scammed bc I was curious about what she did with it, like did she ride it around her campus in her 6x toddler dresses? or let it gather dust (that would have been such a power move tbh, tricking tras into buying her a $600 tricycle and then never using it). anyway, the person replied to this saying that yes she has a tricycle, and do you know what lolita fashion is? she rides around on the tricycle in these lolita dresses being flirty with men in a weird baby voice. we knew she definitely was interested in lolita fashion bc she'd talk about it all the time, and the tra was the first one to bring it up, sunlight-beauty hadn't prompted it. and there were some other things like that, where they casually brought up stuff we knew or suspected about gs sappho without us ever mentioning them first.

so idt the person is a troll. they could be exaggerating for sure, but there's at least grains of truth to what they said.

tdlr: we don't have definitive proof, but we did have enough circumstantial evidence that we were suspicious of gs sappho lying about her lesbianism long before the tra from her uni came into the picture

1. What’s the maximum amount of time your character can sit still with nothing to do?

Melony is a naturally fidgety person, but it also kind of depends on if there’s people around. By herself, she can probably sit still for a few minutes before she starts distracting herself. If she’s in a situation where she’s been told (or she’s like… in church or something) she can sit still longer, more because it’s expected than anything.

Max can sit still for hours. Like he could watch paint dry and the most he would do is maybe shift positions a little. (80% of the time it’s because he’s dissociating)

Liza can’t sit still to save her life. They get bored way too easy and it’s harder for them to focus if they aren’t really doing anything.

2. How easy is it for your character to laugh?

Melony’s pretty easy to make laugh, the only jokes she doesn’t really laugh at are like… dirty jokes. Not because she doesn’t understand them, she just doesn’t find them very funny. (Sometimes they get her but it’s rare)

Max is harder to make laugh, only because he only really laughs at stupid shit. It’s not even sex humor, bro has straight up meme humor. If you showed him the “Me and the boys at 3 AM lookin for BEANS” meme he would lose his shit, but if you told him an actual joke he’d be like “That’s so funny.” with a straight face.

Liza will laugh at anything, honestly, she’s incredibly easy to make laugh. As long as the joke is good, they’ll probably like it.

20. If they were asked to explain the difference between romantic and platonic or familial love, how would they do so?

Melony: “Romantic love is when someone makes you happy just by being around them, or they make you feel safe, and loved in ways nobody else does. Platonic love is kind of the same thing, but toned down. It’s less about being in love, and more about having someone you just enjoy hanging out with and being around. Familial love is… uh. They take care of, and protect you, and… they always know what’s… what’s best for you, even if you don’t always agree with them. And they would never get rid of you or hate you just for who you are…. But the one thing they all have in common is they thrive off of trust, because if you can’t trust your partner, or your friends, or you mom, then that’s… that’s just not good….”

Max: “Sex with emotional attachment, sex without emotional attachment, and no sex because that’s your sibling or parent or whatever and that’s gross. Even if you’re not blood related, if you consider that person a mom or a brother or something it’s weird to wanna fuck them. But also familial love is about, like… you just wanna protect them with your life! You might fight and you won’t always get along, but you would fight a Lycan for them, because you know they would do that for you, too….”

Elizabeta: “Romantic and platonic love are kind of tricky because, in both cases you can have a strong emotional connection to a person, it’s just one you wanna kiss them and go out dates and do all kind of romantic and touchy stuff, and the other is more like… they’ll laugh at you whenever you do something embarrassing like trip over your own feet or walk directly into a door. Familial love is more like…. They love and support you through hardships. They just want to watch you thrive, even if you’re sometimes a pain in the ass to deal with. They might still make fun of you, but you know they still love you.”

32. Do they have a go-to story in conversation? Or a joke?

Melony doesn’t really have one, though she does occasionally just throw out some little fact from her childhood when she can like “I used to sit by the treeline and just look over the Village” or “I once found a stray cat and named her Mittens” and even “My mom tried to leave me at the market when I was four and I think that’s when I official gained consciousness”. Y’know, just fun little tidbits.

Max always defaults to the story about how he and his small group of friends snuck into the reservoir one night to skinny dip and came incredibly close to Moreau killing them for trespassing. They were all like 16-18 years old and he considers it one of the more exciting nights of his life before everything went to hell.

Liza doesn’t have one. They do try to crack jokes during conversation but there’s nothing they really default to.

35. How do they treat the things their friends come to them excited about? Are they supportive?

If it’s not illegal or going to cause them harm, Melony is very supportive. She likes seeing the people she cares about get excited over things, even if they’re not always her cup of tea or are kind of terrifying. The important thing is that her friends are happy. (She’s listened intently to Cassandra go on about what knives are best for gutting people, which is… something she never thought she’d learn but here we are)

Max treats it a little more like when a kid tries to show their parent something. “Hey Max, look at this thing!’ “Yeah, that’s really cool.” kind of thing. It’s not that he isn’t supportive, but he’s definitely not showing the same level of hype they are for the thing. Which can sometimes get mistranslated to them thinking he doesn’t care. (He does. He cares very much, he wants to know, he just has Asshole Voice. Plus if someone rambles to him, it makes him feel like he can also ramble about stuff, too.)

Liza is usually the one going to their friends excited about things, but they’re always happy to listen to their friends ramble, too. And they’ll get equally excited (again, as long as it won’t cause their friend bodily harm). She’s totally supportive, within reason.

43. If someone asked them to explain their sexuality, how would they do so?

Melony: “I prefer women over men. I think…. I can safely say I’ve never met a man I’ve been attracted to, anyway.”

Max: “Chicks before dicks. But if you wanna pay me, y’know, I’m open for anything.”

Elizabeta: “I like… people. Men, women, both, neither, I don’t care as long as they’re nice and the love is mutual.”

A. Why are you excited about this character?

She can THROW ME THROUGH A WALL.

And also I just think Mia’s character is really interesting despite the fact she never really gets explored in the games. We never get any answers for who The Connections are, why she joined them, how much she knew, what happened to her during/post-Village. There’s so much potential for a good Mia story that’s just never used or explained. She’s also a good example of “Good people can do shitty/immoral things, but that doesn’t make them bad at heart.” I will defend this with my life, too. Because Mia IS a good person. She cares about people, she has a sense of guilt over everything, she isn’t cold hearted or hate filled. It doesn’t excuse her, but it does show she has some sense of morality (which is part of why I wish we knew why she took the Connections job). It’s honestly sad we don’t ever see her do much outside of being someone for Ethan (or Chris) to save and I hope she comes back for RE9 in some capacity (I will be frothing at the mouth and expanding/stretching any mention of her just like I did with the DLC, believe you me).

She’s also hot idc what anybody says, she can bend me over a table or spit in my face or whatever. Hotter than any other woman in this franchise imo.

E. Are they someone you would get along with? Would they get along with you?

Realistically? I think Mia would hate me *wheeze*. She’s, y’know, almost 15 years older than me, and a mom, she wouldn’t want anything to do with my dumb ass. As much as I love her, we wouldn’t get along at all.

Also I think Mia is like… really smart, and I have a rock for a brain. But maybe she likes stupid, she did marry Ethan after all, and he’s pretty smooth brain….

Y’know what, I take it back, she would love me because I would make her laugh and I would treat her right and I would be a great influence on her child. If nothing else, we would be friends who always make plans to hang out then never do, but we always send each other memes and tiktoks. We’d have at least a bare minimum friendship. Like she invites me to her birthday parties or something.

G. What trait of theirs bothers you the most?

Nothing, she’s perfect and beautiful and has no flaws whatsoever.

Seriously, though, I do think she can be a little.. Flippant, I guess? Mainly in that one RE8 flashback where she won’t just tell Ethan whatever she wants to tell him. Which is kind of on him because he took a call when his wife was clearly distressed about something, but also on her because she legit just could have been like… “Rose has Mold” or whatever she was gonna say.

And like, this is something I’ve defended her on. Her lying and whatever, because I do believe most of it is justified. It’s just that one flashback scene bugs me.

H. What trait do you admire most?

Despite all the shit she goes through, she just keeps going. Which is honestly just admirable to me. Like this bitch went through HELL and came out the other side and she was kind of thriving in 8 despite the potentially untreated PTSD (Y’all can’t convince those pills were shit beyond an antidepressant and vitamins) and other potential mental illnesses. Even in RE8 after being kidnapped she’s straight to the point with Chris, no bullshit, and I love that.

Girl seems headstrong and I think that’s pretty cool and sexy of her, y’know.
