AVENTURINE was never one to let his guard down around other people. this facade of a lighthearted gambler who always wears a smile on his face even in the face of danger and risks—this is the "aventurine" he shows to the public eye. the part of the ten stonehearts "aventurine", the senior manager in the IPC "aventurine", the hard-to-discern his true feelings "aventurine", all of them are merely just masks.

yet when it came to you, he felt his high walls crumble down before you; a heart that he once thought died long ago had started beating, and at such a weird pace too. suddenly the air in his throat disappears, like you're taking away the air for him to breathe—it's almost pathetic. the way you're able to make him break composure so goddamn easily, it's unfair. how could he feel so at ease with someone like you? Why does he feel so at ease with someone like you? why does he feel so much for someone like you?

he doesn't like to admit it; for the first several weeks, he's been in denial about his feelings for you because the whole reason for his masks is to not reveal his true self to anyone. how can he continue to do that when he feels so weak in front of you? it's like rationality is thrown out the window when you're around him; he dislikes the mushy feelings you've given inside of him; he dislikes that it makes him feel good. he wants to hate it; he wants to hate it so badly, yet he can't help but wish to spend more time in your presence.

if he had told past aventurine he would be happily dating you several months later, he most likely wouldn't have believed him, but here he is now. in a relationship with you, sharing a bed with him, staring with soft eyes at your (very cute and adorable) sleeping form, and the growing urge to plant kisses all over your face.

it's the fact that you're showing him such a vulnerable state, that you trust him to not do anything to you while you're asleep, and that out of everyone in the whole universe, you'd rather be with him. he doesn't understand your reasoning for why you decided to stay with him; he doesn't understand how you could love someone like him.

as he continues to stare lovingly at your resting form, he slowly reaches out his hand to move away a strand of hair that is blocking his view of your face. his fingers make contact with your cheeks. even after moving the strand of hair away from your face, his hand lingers, lightly tracing against your jawline, careful enough to not wake you up by accident. seeing as you're in deep sleep, he moves himself a bit closer until the space between you and him is almost non-existent.

he leans his head towards your forehead, gently pressing a light and quick kiss. if you hadn't been asleep, he would've given you so much more, but for now, he'll settle on giving you just that one kiss.

"i love you, (name)..." he whispered softly. it's the first time he's ever uttered those words out loud. it's funny how he can tease and fluster you all day with compliments and pick-up lines but never say, 'i love you'. perhaps he's a coward for saying it when you're asleep, but can you really blame him? after all, he's baring his whole heart to you—being open and honest isn't exactly the easiest thing a gambler like him can do. he's spent a lifetime being a bargaining chip, a slave, and a survivor. he's not used to the love and kindness you've shown him; even with all his wealth, looks, and charisma, he still feels as though he isn't enough for you.

maybe he'll tell you one day about his past, the things he's done to get to this point in life, and how much you mean to him. maybe he'll show you the real him, not the "aventurine" mask he's created to protect himself but instead the "kakavasha" who survived the massacre of his people.

Going back to Lallybroch was a really big moment, for Jamie but also for Outlander. It's where we started. I have a lot of memories working there. One of my first days shooting in Season 1 was at Midhope at Lallybroch... so it was quite a special moment.

🧵Outlander_Starz: Set Decorator Stuart Bryce, who has been on Outlander since the beginning, was nostalgic at recreating this set across decades: "New touches, like Mike Gunn's murals, were a great addition, but essentially we didn't have to change too much. We kept it as true as we could to the original Lallybroch.

The tapestries in the dining room had been in storage, and there were a few pieces missing, so finding the original plans and having to recreate them was a challenge."

🧵Outlander_Starz: For Production Designer Mike Gunn, now that we're seeing Lallybroch in 1739 as well as the 1770s and 1980s, it was important to instantly recognize Roger was in a different time. He came up with the idea that behind the incredible tapestries from Season 1, there were murals created in the time of Brian Fraser, hidden after Culloden, then discovered by Bree and Roger in the 80s.

I developed this backstory that the murals depicted the Jacobite rising and fight for Scottish independence. By the time the 1770s came and the Jacobites had lost Culloden, that's when the tapestries were hidden... In the 1980s, the tapestries were taken off. That was the starting point.

Then I decided to weave in the story of Outlander...

The unicorn, which I decided to depict in all of the four images, was Jamie. And of course, Claire is going to come into that journey. The central mural above the fireplace with the unicorn and horse, that's the two of them in love. But the unicorn is depicted as having his struggles throughout. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE ASK!!! i am SO glad that i could get this au to live in someone else's brain rent free too. all i could ever ask for in life tbh i guess i'll infodump about character backstories, dynamics, character arcs, all that juicy stuff putting it under cut because HO BOY THIS IS GONNA GET LONG

as a heads up, take the timeframes i give you with a grain of salt, because i still havent completely figured out the timeline so first of all, vox!! he's a sinner, died in the 1950s, as per canon. he's a businessman, but less stable than in canon. he's always jumping from job to job, business to business, which results in him having a lot of connections with various people around hell. soon after arriving in hell, he met and became friends with alastor. cut to, i'd say around 7-10 years before the events of the story? alastor disappears without a trace during an extermination and vox assumes him dead. having now been personally touched by the effects of the extermination, the idea to try and solve overpopulation another way is planted in his head, but wont come to fruition until much later. in the meantime he meets velvette - finds her bleeding out in an alleyway after getting too cocky and trying to fight back to an exorcist (bad idea). he nurses her back to health, they become friends and eventually start dating, yada yada yada. one day vox and velvette find a funky little cat (keekee). keekee takes a liking to them and leads them to the old ruins of a building up on the hill on the edge of pentagram city. they figure out that the cat turns into a keyblade that can be used to magically build shit (only the hotel though, as keekee is the spirit of the hotel or??? whatever the hell the canon lore is idk???) vox finally decides to realize his idea to try and solve overpopulation more humanely - through redeeming sinners! his reasoning is, if angels can fall (as proven by lute and charlie), then demons can surely ascend, right? though he's not as sure or idealistic about it as charlie is in canon. he simply thinks it has a chance of working, and opening up a hotel means a bigger sample size than if he were to just try and get into heaven himself or something like that. besides, he wouldnt wanna go to heaven, he likes it here. also, im not sure where this is situated in the timeline yet, but he was in a band with adam, lute and possibly eve at some point? the band is called brimstone eden, as mentioned in the comic i posted. im not sure yet whether he was in the band prior to eve's disappearance or after it (eve disappears 7 years before the story starts to mirror canon lilith). swap!vox, like his canon counterpart, is a very reactive person. he follows trends, he's extremely go-with-the-flow to a fault. he never really had any strong beliefs until the hotel - his character arc mainly involves him gaining something to believe in and learning to fight for that belief, 'ready for this' being more or less the culmination of his arc. jesus christ i cant believe i wrote that much JUST on vox. *slaps the top of his head* this boy can fit so much lore in him

now, velvette... she's how you'd expect her to be. same old brave, arrogant velvette. she's a fashion designer and seamstress and runs a moderately sized business which she promotes on sinstagram. she's mutuals with val there, which is how he finds out about the hotel. there's not much to write home about when it comes to val - it's insane how similar angel and him are. like literally barely anything changes when you swap them, it's very clean. he's a prn star, sold his soul to angel dust, yada yada. though a bit on his dynamic with vox - vox is very good at reading people, and doesn't like being lied to (he's a bit of a hypocrite in that regard - he puts on a facade all the time when in professional settings). he can clearly tell val isnt doing as good as he pretends he is, and wants to help him really badly, but val just sees it as vox pitying him and rejects his help (its what they fight about in ep 4, as a counterpart to the whole "charlie going to the studio" thing bc vox wouldnt do that) and now here's the fun part - ALASTOR! oh, alastor, you beautiful stuck up bitch! so turns out, he's not so dead after all! he ALMOST died in that fateful extermination, but husk found him and offered him a "give me your soul right now or bleed out in this alleyway" type deal. of course alastor chose the former, but boy he's not happy about it. he's extremely ashamed of how far he's fallen. so ashamed, in fact, that he hid from the world for those 7-10 years! yeah! he's only pulled out of hiding when husk summons him to be the bartender for the hotel. vox is of course, extremely bewildered and demands answers. alastor doesnt give them and avoids him instead. it takes a sincere conversation with valentino in ep 4 for alastor to finally talk to vox again and explain himself. alastor is basically in extremely deep denial of just how fucked his life is. he clings onto his radio demon persona like a lifeline bc its the last thing that can help him feel some semblance of control over his situation. his tension with valentino is twofold - first they butt heads because of opposing personalities, and second because they both see the other's bullshittery. it's a clusterfuck it eventually bubbles over in ep 4, they both admit how absolutely fucked they are and are friends now. wish i could say more on al & val bc i love them very much but it seems ive run out of eloquency for now. though i know i'll draw some comics of them eventually so maybe it'll come across better in comic form. anyway as mentioned above ive run out of eloquency and im honestly not sure how coherent this whole thing is so you'll have to come back for the other characters some other time, dear anon! until then, thank you so much for the ask once again, and have a nice day/night :)

Backstory: This one is a very interesting backstory lol. Long story short, my parents were devoted worshippers of the Greek gods. To show their devotion, they allowed the gods to bless me, aka their first child. So I have the blessings of the gods, like Percy Jackson type blessings, as if I were their child. They named me Apollo in honor of the first god they worked with. But that's not all 😏. They wanted me to become one of the greatest heroes. I was born with no quirk, so they gave me an advanced version of my parents quirks with some blessings of course. And that's how you get the gamer system, but the version from the web novel "Solo Leveling". I was born in Nigeria, but moved to America and did school there. I moved to Japan to do highschool at UA of course 💪🏾💪🏾. Don't know if imma actually script siblings, I already have some here 😭

Quirk: My life is mostly like a RPG player. I have quests I receive from the 12 gods themselves and some others. I can do anything a RPG player can do. The gods can open gates like in the webnovel solo leveling which the Gods open the gates to help me get stronger, with mythical greek monsters too. After my first gate, which the Gods use to test me, I get the skill shadow extraction, like from solo leveling. Anytime I defeat a monster, I can resurrect them to join my army under my command. In the original they are black and blue, but I scripted them to white and gold. The gates that the gods spawn can only be seen by me, and if I want others to see them then they could. The blessings I got from the gods show up as passive skills in my system (This whole quirk makes more sense if you read up on the main character's power).

Voice claim: Probably more higher than I sound in my other realities. I scripted something around Kenma Asmodeus (obey me), and Milo thatch combined. Just soft, pretty and angelic. "I sound like a beautiful tune from the instruments that the God Apollo would perfectly play" quite literally from my script

10 Star Wars Fic Recs for Fanworks Day!

So, today is International Fanworks Day! I saw this post for Feedback Fest 2025, asking for comments "recommending 10 fanworks. Tell everyone why you love these works and why they should check them out." And because I am ~EXTRA~, I decided to make a Tumblr post for this.

But then I realized I could not keep it to 10 recs total and decided to do two posts--one for Inception, and one for Star Wars. There is NO rhyme or reason to the fics recommended here, other than "this is a story I linked to @nutterzoi and told her to go read RIGHT NOW and then when I saw the link I thought 'oh I should read that again'."

Here be my Star Wars fic recs! They are all prequel era, because I have a problem and that problem is named Obi-Wan Kenobi. Recs under the cut!

Trail Markers by @ooboowoonkoonooboo: A modern AU, which I was super hesitant at first, because to be honest? I have been taking my fandom faves and shoving them into Star Wars AUs for the last, oh, almost 30 years. But this was about high altitude climbing! And Codywan! And a special interest of mine is absolutely high altitude climbing and Everest, and here they are climbing Annapurna. (What's even more impressive is that the author ACTUALLY DID THEIR TREK, which. Is probably why it's just so amazingly excellent.) But the writing is fantastic and emotional and the backstory of Cody and his brothers kept me reading when I should have been doing other things. I have not been able to stop thinking about this story since I read it.

New Growth by @outpastthemoat: I was a Jedi Apprentice fan back in The Day, and have a new fixation with Melida/Daan (because look. As an adult, thinking about Qui-Gon abandoning a 13 year old Obi-Wan on a wartorn planet where adults are fighting and killing their own children is really fucked up, and I like the exploration of that). ANYWAY, I have read a BUNCH of post-Melida/Daan fics, but this is my favorite, and from Qui-Gon's POV. He is such a complicated character with a lot of flaws and I love that about him, but he's also a Good Man. Having a Padawan is like having a plant, and the fic includes this line: “No child is ever low-maintenance,” Tahl returns. “You just weren’t paying attention.” I absolutely adore Qui-Gon needing to think of Obi-Wan as a plant in order to realize what he needs to do to help him.

The More I Live the More I See this Life is Not About Me by K_R_Closson: A fic in which Clone Wars General Obi-Wan Kenobi touches a Sith artifact and turns into his 13 year old post Melida/Daan self. (I mentioned the fixation, right?) It's so good, with excellent clone POV (hi Cody ilu), and the tension that comes with knowing they need Obi-Wan to be his adult self again but seeing the boy who doesn't want to be General Kenobi. The conflict that Cody and the clones have regarding forcing someone to do a thing they don't want to and the parallel with their own lives is just. Chef's kiss.

After the War by antheiasilva: It is Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan, so if that's not your jam, be warned. But it's not generally mine either and I love this story to pieces. It's set after the war, in a world where Qui-Gon lived, and it has a really amazing concept for how they defeated Palpatine. It also really does not shy away from showing the PTSD Obi-Wan would and should have after the war. But like: Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Anakin, Padme, Ahsoka and the baby twins all living together in Naboo's Lake District. Come on now. Bonus points for the complicated relationship they all have with the Jedi Order, too. It's just full of found family feels.

Patron Saint by @andthepeople: SO FREAKING GOOD. It's an always-female Obi-Wan AU, and I am obsessed with how being female does and does not change who Obi-Wan is and how she manages her role as a Jedi Master and council member and General. The relationship between Obi-Wan and her troops is the heart of the story and the love they all have for each other is just. GUH. Please read this story. The ending is fabulous and has Obi-Wan pulling a Jean Grey Phoenix X2 move that just. I can see it. Everything about this is perfect. (Also it's Codywan.)

And I Fear Nothing by @fox-trot: Unfinished, and that is heartbreaking, because this story is so good. I literally read it all in one six hour sitting, and it's another fic that won't leave my brain alone now. Obi-Wan is on Tatooine with Luke, Leia, Cody and Rex (and later, perhaps a few others). It's all Found Family and PTSD and how they all heal and hurt each other. I love it unconditionally.

The Legend of Liob by killbothtwins: Honestly one of the most entertaining and hilarious stories I have read in a LONG time. A photojournalist is posted to the 212th to help with PR for the war. Someone (Boil) impulsively creates an imaginary trooper, and things spiral out of control from there. But this imaginary trooper does save the day! In just about every single way. It's got great humor, amazing clone and Obi-Wan characterization, and a fabulous plot. Do yourself a favor and read it.

Silent (and So Near) by @tessiete: Another story I have not been able to stop thinking about since reading it. It does say Chapter 1/6, but idk if more will be written or not. I personally do hope so! It's SO well written, and full of emotions. Qui-Gon lived through Naboo, and now the Clone Wars have come and he is NOT interested in being a General. Just. Qui-Gon's feelings and thoughts are so fascinating to me, and his relationship with Obi-Wan and Anakin, guh. The lengths that Obi-Wan goes to to keep Qui-Gon safe from himself. The river stone. Anakin's attitude. I am obsessed with this version of Qui-Gon, tbh.

[to speak of precious evenings] by @cillyscribbles: OH I love this story. First of all, the way with words is just. Beautiful. But taking the "Cody and Obi-Wan get drunk together and talk" plot and turning it into this is a talent. It's beautiful.

Every Shadow by @kenobster: SO. VERY. GOOD. Unfinished, and I hope that it won't stay that way, but just as an FYI. I swear, this is the post Zygerria fic I need. Everyone's trauma after that arc is here and they are all hot messes having terrible times. But it's done well, and the writing is amazing. Do heed the warnings, but nothing explicit is in the fic. This is another story I can't stop thinking about.

I am going to overwhelm you with questions about Carrion Flowers because I initially was going to ask you one question but then I thought of another one...andddd another one. So I got 4 questions lmao.

I know you said Carrion Flowers was inspired by Sleepy Hollow with the victorian horror and mystery elements. What other things inspired you while writing this fic?

4. what was your process with the mystery and the big reveal? Did you figure out who the killer was beforehand? Did you have other plans that you were going to do before deciding on the final, but did you know the exact plot when you started writing?

Ooooh, my weird little baby. I love these questions because I have SO MUCH to say about Carrion Flowers. It really flew under a lot of people's radar, and I feel like its certainly not for everyone haha. But it gives you a glimpse into all the things that I like in fiction.

I know you said Carrion Flowers was inspired by Sleepy Hollow with the victorian horror and mystery elements. What other things inspired you while writing this fic?

I pulled from a lot of movie/tv/book references when writing it! For one, I leaned into a lot of my favorite witch stories, like Witches of Eastwick, The Craft, The Witch, Slewfoot, Hereditary, and even a little Hocus Pocus. I think if you read it closely you can see some indirect influences but also really direct nods. The incantation that the sisters use to summon the Seventh Hell King was directly inspired by the scene in The Craft when they call on to the four corners. The goat that attacks Lucien is basically Black Philip. Feyre being more feral and wild is inspired by Sara Jessica Parker's witch archetype and Elain as the more natural witch inspired by Sarah in The Craft. I could go on and on but you get the point.

In general, I love themes of Satanism and women being either pushed toward or willfully choosing to reject domineering Christianity for the sake of freedom and hedonism. And that is sort of the story I wanted to tell in Carrion Flowers.

There were also a lot of other references I was inspired from/pulled from, such as from the detective genre (Hannibal and Silence of the Lambs) as well as other horror films. But this post will be entirely too long if I went into all of them.

2. what was the first scene/chapter you wrote?

I wrote the story in order, so the first scene I wrote was the first scene in the fic, where Lucien is packing for his trip to Sunset Hollow and Eris comes to visit. I sort of used it as a means to figure out how Lucien fits into this world and what his character is like as a detective, and I thought Eris would be a good way to explore his backstory in a succinct way. I also just finished Pull Me in Deeper and was coming off a long Erixius focused time period in my fic writing, and I thought sending Eris and Alexius off in Carrion Flowers to fuck in a cottage while the events of the story unfolded was a good way to feel good about where I left them haha. Also, I will use any excuse to include Eris in things.

3. what was your favorite scene/chapter to write?

I think my all time favorite was Lucien's dream, which was inspired by this twisted little poem on Acid Bath's album Paegen Terrorism Tactics called "Old Skin". I actually listened to this album/this particular track a lot while thinking about this fic because the sludge metal genre that came out of New Orleans is so damn witchy. I try to tell people if you like Season 1 of True Detective, Acid Bath is basically the identical vibes in music form. ANYWAYS. That scene in particular was fun because I got to get very weird with it, including planting some foreshadowing for the rest of the fic as well as interlacing some of Lucien's darkest fears and memories.

4. what was your process with the mystery and the big reveal? Did you figure out who the killer was beforehand? Did you have other plans that you were going to do before deciding on the final, but did you know the exact plot when you started writing?

****BIG SPOILERS FOR THE FIC. DO NOT READ BEYOND THIS POINT IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SPOILED ON THE MYSTERY****

I knew when I first plotted out the story that the three sisters would be the killers and that they were doing it to summon the devil (Rhysand). I knew at the core of it, I wanted them to be the killers and that all the hopes the reader had that they were being wrongly accused was playing on your expectations of how these stories normally go. Now, once I knew that, planting the clues that would both show you who was doing the murders but also set up red herrings came through a lot of careful plotting and sometimes realizing I placed something in one chapter and needed to connect it later as I was writing/posting. So some things were developed more organically like Nesta's telekinesis powers so she could have killed H. King alone and left the pentagram on the floor under the bed. But a lot of things were determined before hand, such as the sisters collecting flesh, blood, and bone, and who it made most sense to collect each item, and trying to make their murders reflect not only call outs to canon (like Nesta beheading H. King like she did to the King of Hybern) but also how it fit with their personalities.

I would say that this fic took a lot more careful pre-plotting than I normally do, where I often let the characters drive scenes. There certainly was that also in this fic, especially scenes between Elain and Lucien, but I realized quickly that writing good mysteries is hard, and you have to be quite technical and deliberate in order to make it satisfying (which I hope I achieved).

I do want to shoutout @crazy-ache because initially I was going to fill this AU with a lot of OCs, but she basically was like "why don't you try to find a way to bring in the canon characters". Tamlin initially was not going to be in it, but I think she suggested I make him the sheriff and it worked out sooo much better. She also helped me figure out how to change the OCs I had planned to be the victims to fit with canon characters which is how we got who King, Tomas, and Ianthe as the victims. Definitely owe a lot of that to her and her beautiful mind. And just in general being an amazing beta.

EVEN MORE PRINCE LIOCHANT AU STUFF

Okay, so I am going to be redoing part of his relationship with Garte and his backstory cause I got really attached to the idea of him being a healer/doctor.

Liochant started studying medicine from a very young age after he was engaged to his arranged marriage husband at 5. Since Liochant was 9th in line for the throne and had no real political power, his family decided that having him learn the trades of medicine and healing would be beneficial. It was a way to give him use as his marriage and to Liochant's credit, he really enjoyed it because he loves helping people and had/has a hyperfixation on plants due to growing up in a desert where they were scarce.

After his family's slaughter and takedown by his "fiancés" family, Liochant was quickly put to work as a servant and a physician, as they didn't want to waste his education and knew that other doctors would try and kill them in retribution. Liochant actually met Garte due to this because he was put in charge of taking care of him following his capture and being taken to Ru'aun. It proved to be beneficial because Garte was able to train Liochant in swordsman ship under the guise of being an old man who needed help.

Liochant being a healer is also how he was able to gain a lot of trust in the guard academy and move up so fast. He helped fix other guards' wounds, and they all started accepting him rather fast. It also helped explain away the fact that Liochant walks with an air of poise despite being very submissive. Doctors need to be kind.

Another thing that helped was the fact that many people forget/don't know he is a meif'wa. As a leopard meif'wa, his ears are mostly black and round and he has fluffy black hair. Also, a lot of the clothing and guard armor aren't built for tails so it's normally just wrapped around his waist. (He also just hates it when people grab it)

To counter this, outside of guard duty, Liochant is normally in very traditional Tu'la clothing because, as a former prince, he is still very much connected to his home. (More often than not, a sherwani coat with loose pants, especially during doctor duty. Occasionally, in North tu'la cloths like kimono tops during colder weather)

Sir Pentious Overhaul

Backstory: Victorian Inventor from London. He's not sure when he died because he was a shut-in.

Original name: Spencer Whitlock

Died in an explosion. Started out of a desire for money to increase his standing but but that doesn't matter to him anymore. Now he just wants to be acknowledged, a desire that led him to greater and greater depths.

He was the second of three sons of his family and constantly vied for standing in the family hierachy. He lost that struggle badly and that was a leading cause in his goals.

Design: I kinda hate this design so I'm going to redo it eventually.

Character:

Pentious wants to be acknowledged and is willing to go to great lengths for it. He feels unsafe even at the hotel because he could never trust his family in a supposedly safe environment.

He needs to work through these things over the course of the season.

He is very creative and wants to be loved. He is caring once his walls drop.

He doesn't swear in swearwords but uses creative insults. To mix up the speech patterns of the characters.

Plot (Season 1)

Episode one ( Takes 1 day for pilot events and 1 more for stuff afterwards)

Pent only briefly appears. Focuses more on establishing the premise. This includes making the commercial.

Episode two (starts at week 2 ends at week 4)

Pent is hired by the Vs. He looks up to Vox so agrees instantly.

He shows up and asks to be redeemed. Vaggie, Angel and Alastor all doubt him. Vaggie decides to give him a shot, Alastor doesn't really care. Only Angel blatantly confronts him. Charlie trusts him though.

Pentious tries to smuggle some weapons in but is immediately stopped by Vaggie. He's annoyed but manages to sneak Vox's cameras in.

Angel constantly antagonizes Pentious. Charlie is mad about this. She's been struggling to make progress and is stressed regarding getting a meeting with heaven.

Trust falls. Pent fails at this. He can't bring himself to do it. Angel takes a break from antagonizing him to antagonize Vaggie when she tries to convince Pent. He points out that she only trusts Charlie. Vaggie can't do it when it's not Charlie.

Pent goes around the hotel under pretext of making himself at home to plant the cameras. Alastor immediately breaks them, but Pent doesn't notice.

Charlie suggest makeovers to represent their new selves. Angel is inappropriate and makes Charlie, Husk and Pent uncomfortable. Vaggie tells him to drop it. Pentious doesn't like the idea of changing his style but he tries because he's spying. Charlie has a narrow idea of redemption/morality and is unhappy with the new duds. (First hint Vaggie gets that Charlie is super out of her depth)

Charlie takes them out to dinner post makeover. Pent has been here a week and has avoided the other residents mostly. It's just Charlie, Vaggie, Angel and Pent so it's deeply uncomfortable. Vaggie and Pent are the most bothered by this and connect over that fact.

Alastor goes to the overlord meeting. (No eggbois, he uses one of Pent's devices)

Episode 3 (Week 5)

Charlie writes a play to show a good example of good morality (not the one from the show but of roughly the same quality). Pent goes for it and puts his heart into it. He adds some personal touches (makes his kind character insecure/anxious and hesitant to do the right thing but choosing to do it regardless. He's projecting what he thinks a redeemed version of himself might look like), which Charlie dislikes because she wants a paragon and believes that's how all good people are. Vaggie takes notice.

Angel finds proof of Pent's loyalties and attacks him. Vaggie breaks it up but is clearly disappointed, as Pent managed to convince her that he was genuine (because subconsciously, he is). This angers her and she tries to kill him, but Charlie stops her. She gives him a chance to explain himself and Pent confesses to what he's done. Her disappointment upsets him and he asks to try again. Charlie agrees on a probationary basis. Nifty finds Pent to be cool after the reveal (for a bit).

Angel is so proud of being right but no one cares. Pent goes up to him and tries to make up with him by acknowledging Angel's tenacity. Angel acts mad but is considering giving him a chance.

Nifty starts a fire accidentally. (at the bar) Pent knows what to do (a lot of his inventions have caught fire over the years) and is able to put it out quickly. Vaggie was busy rescuing a stoned Angel from injury.

Vaggie confronts Pent on his adjustments to the play. She asks how serious he is about redemption. She tells him to go back to inventing. Good people are as passionate as bad people, after all. Maybe focus on things that aren't violence. The two of them go drinking outside the hotel occasionally.

Episode 4 (Week 10-14)

Charlie meets Adam.

Vaggie is worried and Pent tries to cheer her up, assuming she's worried about Charlie, by organizing a game night. He convinces Husk to join by deciding to allow cheating so Husk can have his own version of fun. He convinces Angel by making a rule that losers (in games where it makes sense) take shots. Doing this regulates Angel's drinking and incentivizes Husk to lose. He fails to convince Nifty by offering to introduce her to a bad boy (she no longer believes in his bad-boyness). Husk convinces her by having the loser help her out around the hotel for a week. Vaggie is touched by the gesture. Angel invites Cherry, Pent's rival. Pent takes the jibes in stride, even after he comes in last place.

Charlie comes back and tells them about the incoming meeting with the seraphim.

Charlie goes to Angel's work to get him to spend more time at the hotel.

Pent becomes Charlie's new project. She makes a long list of things Pent has to do to convince heaven. This includes giving up inventing again. He can't use his creative insults either. Game night no longer involves cheating or drinking (Angel no longer attends, Husk is only there because of Alastor). (4 week montage, 1 a week game night is established.

Episode 5 (Week 15)

Husk snaps at Angel after months of his bullshit. Pent isn't super involved in this episode. He hangs out with Cherry when she comes to visit Angel (this is in the background). He goes to help Cherry with her bombs but is told off by Charlie.

Husk tries to get Angel to cut back on the drugs and enlists Pentious' and Cherry's help to find ways of coping that don't rely on Valentino. Cherry suggest another drug. Pent says that that's a bad idea given Charlie. They settle on making a safe for Angel's drugs and having Husk give him a limited amount and slowly weaning him off of them. Cherry will go with Angel when outside the hotel to stop him from buying more and Pent will help him distract himself. This falls through because Charlie is eating up his time.

Pent breaks down to Angel and Husk from the stress. They invite Cherry to have a 'screw this' party. They drink and play the OG game night. Pent drunkenly hits on Cherry. Cherry is dtf but Pent pulls back, realizing that he's letting Charlie down. He runs off. Husk goes after him and cheers him up.

Vaggie runs away due to the angel reveal. Pent hears about this and goes to look for her. She tells him the truth and Pent listens and empathizes. He helps her come to terms with it, but she doesn't want to go home yet. Instead, they go to apologize to some of the people Pent hurt more severely. Cherry tracks them down to check up on them and Pent explains himself. She calls him a dumbass but is willing to give casual dating a try, even if his idea of a relationship is different from hers.

They go home and apologies are given and received.

Episode 8 (month 12)

Pent sacrifices himself for Cherry and goes to heaven. Sera reveals that the reason she wouldn't tell Vaggie what gets one into heaven was because getting in is much harder if you know. The standards are far higher because it's harder to tell if you're genuine. She tells him that it's been a long time since anyone has risen from hell. Emily promises to show him around. Lute glares when she sees him.

we think sally was a STUDENT in university when she came to radiator springs - went to berkeley for law, was two years into her courses when she decided she just Couldnt anymore. she packed all her stuff into a bag and left one morning and just drove until her car broke down in the middle of nowhere, otherwise known as about 10 miles away from radiator springs on route 66

before i go any further i usher you to read the backstory fic i made for her because self promo is real and it goes much more in depth about how utterly miserable i made her:

ANYWAYS we think she had a boyfriend previous to this, not really sure the details but they broke up, she was 19 when she came to radiator springs, 21 when lightning came around, etc.

headcanons wise

- she really loves flowers and plants. her favourite flowers are dahlias. she can make flower crowns like she created the concept of them herself, absolutely zero effort

- doc taught her law using his own knowledge from law school and the books she has from her own courses, she wasn’t too upset about not being able to be a big lawyer because in radiator springs she had other things to do — like bring her vision for the cozy cone to life

- she designed the cozy cone motel with the help of ramone and built it with the help of red

- her love language is physical touch

- (personal favourite) she loves hugging lmq, sometimes whenever the crew is sitting around and he’s sitting criss cross on the floor, she’ll sit behind him, arms around him, also criss cross, sound asleep with her head resting against his back and he is completely unbothered by it

- she doesnt cry much, her and lightning are similar that way, and it takes a LOT for her to get emotional. thats not saying she wont bawl her eyes out if lightning gets hurt because she loves him

Explain, por favor

Okay so i want to start by saying that i like both Mais, and even both Maikos (though I don't really think about ships all that much tbh), AND I'm not trying to offend anyone. (I've noticed there's another anon on here who really doesn't like her, and they seem to be having. interesting conversations with people who do, or who at least, people who don't hate her.)

ANYway. The fact that there are two Mais can maybe help explain the discourse surrounding her; we're literally arguing over two people.

The first Mai we see is the one I personally find most fun, and we see her throughout season 2 and even a little bit into season 3, and that's a badass who doesn't give a crap. She's bored, and seeks out new things to try. When Azula and Ty Lee come to see her, she's happy to go with them. Emphasis on she doesn't give a crap. When Ty Lee is doing pretty much whatever Azula says, Mai won't- I think it was in the Drill (s2 e13) where Azula wanted Mai and Ty Lee to stop the Avatar from breaking the drill? But there was mud in the way of doing that, and Mai just didn't go (I love her) because why waste time?

The second Mai I find most interesting; she is one who learned to repress her emotions but still cares, even if she feels like she isn't to show it. She's the one who loves Zuko more than she fears Azula! Here we see her hesitancy.

The reason why I say that these are two different Mais rather than just one Mai with character development is that with s3 Mai her backstory implies that this is how she's always been, but if she'd been like this the whole time we would have seen her in little details: we would have seen her hesitate (whether it was hesitation to not trade her brother or hesitation to not do what Azula wanted her to), if only a few times.

We could have had both be the same if we'd seen her notice something- here's an example of what they could have done:

Imagine if Mai, Ty Lee, and Azula had captured someone- maybe Suki (after all they did end up disguising themselves as Kyoshi Warriors), and at some point Mai was the one who, idk, gave food to Suki. They could talk a bit, though obviously there isn't much friendliness or even just politeness going on; but maybe Suki could say something that gives Mai pause. Something about what it's like living your life with a constant threat hanging above you; where Mai didn't really pay attention to what her parents were doing in Omashu, now that she's talking to an enemy, it could make her think.

Then later she could be talking to Ty Lee, what has Ty Lee seen on her adventures as a circus performer? And now there's that seed planted in Mai's brain; AND THEN WHEN SHE'S AT BOILING ROCK MAYBE SHE SEES SUKI AGAIN AND DECIDES TO FREE HER.

Of course, this is just about the two Mais; if you're still interested I could talk about the two Maikos and what they mean for Mai and Zuko if you like.

What about Fresh Sans?? lmao

Fresh gets a smooch-ability rating of 4. There's a fair amount of risks involved because he's so unpredictable, but if you want a more in depth explanation on the rating itself, you can find it below the cut

1) How dangerous is Fresh's mouth? His teeth aren't sharp or jagged at all by any means and they're flat, so one would assume his mouth is safe. Parasite aside, I'm giving his mouth itself a 2 for safety. I will talk about the parasite too, but it'll be in another section

2) Would Fresh bite? If he felt like being a heathen, then yes, I'm convinced he would. It completely depends on the circumstances and if he wants to get a reaction out of you. Is he aggressive? Well, we've seen how he interacts with others in Underverse. While it seems playful and lighthearted, everything he does happens for a reason. He's got ulterior motives and things you don't know about going through his head, and if he thought he needed to be aggressive for whatever reason, he's more than willing and capable of doing so. All things considered, he gets no points for this

3) Are there any health hazards to the smoocher? If you remember the fact that he's a weird little parasite that hijacks people's bodies, then yes, that in and of itself poses a threat to the smoochers wellbeing. Due to how having your mouth too close to his for too long could lead to your body being hijacked and him being an untrustworthy little turd, he gets 0 points for this one

4) Does he have a sympathetic backstory? From what I understand, he's literally just this weird parasite who popped into existence at one point, and decided to make it everyone else's problem. So no, his backstory isn't very sympathetic. He doesn't even have the capacity to feel guilt or sadness over what he does to people; he can only mimic those feelings based on what he's seen and read, which makes his entire story even less sympathetic. I love him, but I'm forced to give 0 points again

5) Does he deserve a smooch? Body hijacking, blatant lying, occasional manipulation and tampering with other people's things, then harassing others for the lolz already make him undeserving (to me), but the cherry on top is his gremlin behavior. While it's funny to watch it happen to other people, you probably wouldn't enjoy it very much if it happened to you, repeatedly, without rhyme or reason, and at random times without warning. 0 points, once again

6) Is Fresh cute or cool? His colorful outfits are pretty eye bleeding and his particular dialect and way of speaking is obnoxious at best, and completely incomprehensible and infuriating at worst. He's not necessarily a cutesy character, and his design gives me a headache to look at with all the clashing colors and neons, but I do love it, oddly enough. I have no idea why, either. His design is a very distinct one and its entirely unique to him, and he's very entertaining and spontaneous. While I wouldn't wanna deal with him myself, I do enjoy reading things or looking at art or other media that he's in. So for this, I'll give 2 coolness points

Fresh's smooch-ability rating is 4. If it's your first time meeting him, you'll be getting a smooch either way. If you've already met him, then a smooch would either make him mentally blue screen for a moment, before he cracks some kind of weird joke about it or not-so-subtley tells you not to do it again. If it goes horribly wrong at any point, you could be really badly hurt or lose your body to a purple starfish looking parasite. That risk doesn't really seem worth it to me, but hey, it's on you if you wanna take the gamble and plant a smooch on him

Gang I realized I’ve dropped off the face of the earth like super duper sorry uh. In news, school started. I’m in twelfth night as Feste, and.. SoN stuff. Happening, Octavian and Michael girdle quest is being written and chapter three, four, and five— therefore the public official super rad announcement of it is soon, both soon to be done and like all that jazz. Uh, SoN re-imagining still going on, I started stranger things and I have.. Octavian news?

Sort of. I have his stupid convoluted name beginning to be laid out, he has a really weird mix of modern naming scheme and traditional Roman (because his mummy is not native to New Rome) and uh, all I can hand you is

Julianus is in there, just because I like the name and something something the Julius family name or whatever uh Julius Caesar.. something. Something. The pair of twins have Apollinaris and Artemisia (I know Artemis is Greek but like somewhere down the line the Greeks under Roman control named some of their kids after the Grecian names and I like Artemisia the painter and I can’t find the Diana equivalent and it works if they are like. Tributes to the patron gods of the house and then there’s like parallels to how the family views their kids and it’s a whole thing) but yeah. Octavian gets to have Julianus in there

Now the fun part. The South Sudanese parts of his name because I decided his mummy’s dad is from South Sudan. Forgive me if I, get anything wrong from my research obviously I am not south Sudanese however. Octavian’s grandfather gave each of his grandkids traditional names to help guide them (they also say stuff about a character because you don’t just name a character without giving their name reason. Especially not someone with such a comically absurd name as Octavian)

So he got Nyok Nihal in his name. Are those both first names? I think so, but Octavian’s entire name is just kinda first names and then his last names slapped together and New Rome has an entirely different naming signature because it is rooted in Roman naming schemes but has morphed due to the outside demigods coming in and therefore is almost its own thing. But also no.

Anyway anyways, those two parts of his name, he probably gets called them separately if anyone uses them (not foreshadowing to something in BoO) but Nihal from what I read usually has to do with growth, new beginnings, spring, life, success. But then Nyok is like, humility and kindness and they tie into his arc that would happen after BoO and in ToA and like- argfhhhhh. It’s him stepping into those names after not feeling like he belongs to them for such a long time

Also uh. Octavian’s grandpa is the GOAT, unproblematic king. We love him, Stan my man.

Along with that, something something. Michael Kahale and his whole name that I don’t have to change because it already fits in with his whole arc and the fact that he has to try and be the one to protect new Rome and its peoples and be a strong foundation but he just wants to go home to his family and isn’t really a military leader guy, that and the pressure with being a Son of Venus and whatever. Like I’ll probably get into it more if I ever deep dive a lot of these characters names, yall know id bring something insane for Bryce or whatever lol.

On that note too, Mercury has a birthday now! Not on topic whatsoever but her official birthday is September 29th, also Mr. pompey the greats birthday. He’s my favorite guy and that makes Mercury’s birthday plant Amaranth and the symbolism lines up there and I really like that also it looks like Mercury. But she gets a little birthday and that’ll probably affect her

this is just a rough overview of the au, i'll try and write a fic about it soon but yeahh

GO2 SPOILERS AHEAD

How Azi became a demon

In the beginning, when Aziraphale introduces himself to Lucifer (i'll be calling Crowley that cuz he never gets his demon name in this au), Luci tells him his name too. So Aziraphale knows this is literally God's favorite angel and Oh Shit That's Important. So, when the Metatron finds out about Lucifer's questioning and decides to cast him out, Aziraphale steps up. He takes the blame on himself, says he was the one who talked to Lucifer about it and he was actually the one asking questions. Why he does this? Because he can't imagine how heaven would live on without one of its most important angels, so he's willing to sacrifice himself for that. The Metatron believes the lie and Aziraphale falls in Lucifer's stead, taking on the name of Zerael.

Garden of Eden meeting

After Zerael's fall, Lucifer tries to argue with the Metatron a bit. He gives up pretty quickly because he doesn't want Zerael's fall to go to waste, but he still gets demoted as a result. So he's now on apple tree duty. Meanwhile, Zerael gets appointed to be the original tempter, taking the form of a black swallow (cuz yk swallows are symbols of good luck but black isn't eh whatever you'll see). Lucifer gets the flaming sword as a sort of cruel joke from heaven, Gods former favorite now needs a sword for protection. He (of course) gives it to Eve, he doesn't actually need it and she definitely does. When the two meet on the wall, it's a bit awkward. Lucifer is immediately happy and greets Zerael by his angelic name, causing Zee to have a bit of a shut down. He tries to act all demonic and mean, but ends up asking how Lucifer is doing in heaven. Luci kind of skirts around the topic. "Oh, you know, the usual celestial harmonies and whatnot". Zee isn't an idiot, he asks why Luci's on apple tree duty if everything's fine. Luci tells him he's been demoted but it's nothing to worry about. "Really, it's more interesting now! I get to see more than just white walls all the time". Wing shelter thingy but Zee tries to do it first, getting burned by holy rain in the process because bird brain so Luci shelters him instead.

General stuff now that the backstory is over with

(I'll get into the flashback scenes in a different post, my fingers are starting to hurt lmao)

Zerael changes his name Zirael, which literally means 'swallow' (according to wikipedia)

Zee still opens a bookshop, he loves books and food just as much and explains it to the Dark Council as getting to know human pleasures to tempt them better

Luci still has the Bentley. Just this time it's white. He bought it black but heaven didn't like it so he miracled it white. It still plays Queen automatically because it's the only way Luci can show off his chaos.

Luci still has houseplants, but he treats them well. Why? Because he can't keep them up to heaven's standards, not after Zee fell to save him. Instead of torturing the plants, he treats them like how he thinks Zee should've been treated. Leaf spots are fine, imperfections are okay. The plants are the most beautiful in London, and also the happiest.

The Arrangement is still the same, only Zee proposed it because he's still in denial about falling and wants any excuse to do something good. Luci agrees, because he wants a chance to rebel without anyone noticing.

Nicknames!!! Zee calls Lucifer 'Luci' (Lucy) and ,of course, Angel, while Lucifer calls Zirael 'Zee' and 'birdbrain' when telling him he's an idiot.

Features! So I know we get the Angel!Crowley eyes in s2, but i like to think he still has to wear sunglasses cuz when the sun catches his eyes they turn molten gold :]

Zee's eyes go from blue to black, easy enough to pass off as very dark brown. His hair stays the same though, it just never turned darker. He says the sulfur bleached it. Is that true? Probably not.

Zee is very very jumpy, his eyes are always flicking around and he's barely ever relaxed. Luci on the other hand is mostly calm, except when something goes wrong. Then he uses every swear word known to mankind that doesn't involve blasphemy because he doesn't wanna get scolded by head office.

Dynamic

Zee is a lot more flirty than Aziraphale. His time as a demon has taught him some Things™️. He still very persistently believes in the system, though it's easier to pick apart his resolve when you point out that he fell because he thought the system was unfair to Lucifer. Luci is the opposite, not sure how to respond to the flirting and getting very tongue tied (ngk.). He is however very willing to finally cut ties with heaven, which means Paradox. Zee keeps trying to convince Luci to stay in heaven, Luci keeps trying to convince Zee to Go Off Together. Zee terrified of consequences, Luci bored out of his skull with heaven's monotony. The only reason he stays is because he remembers Zee's sacrifice. He knows that Zirael didn't want to fall. He did it so Lucifer wouldn't have to.

This makes the season two finale oh so interesting HEHEHEHHEHGEHGEGEH

Lucifer gets the proposition to return to his position as Supreme Archangel, for things to go back to how they were before he was demoted. He, naturally, tells the Metatron exactly where he could stick it. Zee gets mad about this because Lucifer could make heaven better! He could make the system better, prevent anyone from falling without reason ever again. Luci gets pissed because he's been complaining about heaven to Zee for thousands of years and now that just means nothing??? he should go back?????? because of a broken system? But he doesn't mention that the Metatron told him he could restore Zirael. When he finally yells it out at the end of their arguement, right before the kiss, Zee freezes and stares at him. Lucifer realized. Oh shit. This is the one thing he's wanted more than life on earth for all this time. And i'm refusing him it, although it's my fault he lost it in the first place.

Zee won't ask him to go to heaven if he so clearly doesn't want to, definitely not now. Luci kisses him as an attempt to apologize, it's gentle and Zee doesn't push back but he also doesn't respond. At all. He just turns away and starts organizing his books. Just as Lucifer is about to leave, tears in his eyes, Zee says, very quietly; "If you won't do your job, I'd better start doing mine."

The next day, Lucifer comes back with a whole apology script written. He doesn't find Zee there. Instead he finds a random guy from a bookshop that closed a couple months ago.

Friday the 13th (2009)

A group of young adults set up tent near the abandoned summer camp where a series of gruesome murders are said to have taken place back in 1980.

JayBell: Happy Friday the 13th!!! To celebrate (aka punish) ourselves, we decided of our own volition to watch the 2009 Friday the 13th. Well, really it was the only Friday the 13th movie streaming so "of our own volition" is a bit of a stretch.

If I remember correctly, we didn't even like the original Friday the 13th, and our viewing of Jason Takes Manhattan was also bad, but in a much funnier way.

I thought this was a totally new remake, but no, it's just another one in the series. So basically they just exposition dump the whole backstory to the audience in the beginning of the movie. So yeah.

Wayyyyyy more nudity and sex in this movie than I anticipated. I think I got jumpscared by boobs more than I got jumpscared by Jason.

Anyways, long story short, this is bad and I did not like it. I kid you not, the entire time Anzie and I were CONVINCED of this plot twist that never came. We basically created a new movie in our minds, and let me tell you, it would have been a much better movie.

Are you telling me that what set Jason off was a guy peeing on some weed plants? Is Jason growing weed as a hobby? Why on earth does he kidnap some girl and keep her hostage?

A lot of the girl characters blend together in my mind since they have no defining characteristics. The asshole boyfriend is an asshole for no reason. And his girlfriend sees Jared Padalecki one time and ditches said asshole boyfriend, which fair, but seems a bit sudden in context.

The heart of the movie should have been Jared Padalecki's character and his sister. However, they barely make an attempt at building that relationship.

In the end, I didn't care who lived or who died, the plot is stupid and boring, and the characters are bland and shallow. Maybe I'm learning that I just don't like traditional slasher movies.

Anzie: Uhhh soooo I really couldn’t pass up an impromptu Friday the 13th partaay. But seeing as the 2009 version was the only part of this franchise streaming (hopefully X streams by the next Friday the 13th) we haddd to go with that. And uh again I know how to pick them. My first comment. Jared Padalecki- I should’ve known. And second why is there so much boobage in this one??? Seems excessive. Ummm. Next the weed??? What’s with that plot. I feel like I missed something?? I will say. It’s small points do come from the fact I got to be imaginative and come up with a huge scheme that it wasn’t Jason it was the weed growers and the cops were in on it and that’s why they weren’t helping find anyone blah blah blah but no. Just Jason and his mommy issues. Reaaalll quick. Um soo Jared padaleckis looking for his sis riggght. Ummm why’s no one looking for all the other people she was with??? Just asking. You know since I allllready can figure out the whole Jason thing of if he died as a boy or how’d he turn into a man or why’s he immortal ish or is this he technically a zombie??? What’s the deal!?!??? So yeah I guess I can just focus on the other giant plot holes. Everyone in this movie is absolutely annoying and to be fair Jason didn’t deserve the woodchipper. And that shamu move at the end. I’m over it and can’t wait till next time. Blame the duality of humankind and my propensity for loving to subject us to uttttter trash.

since I'm roleplaying as her now, I thought it'd be helpful to share a little more about Alli! and I'll be doing it in a questions nobody asked and answer format!

In what way is Alli a self insert?

Well for starters, she has the same name as me. Honestly it was just supposed to be a placeholder name but I've grown attached to it. Alli was originally based on me, but she's kinda evolved into her own character. Now it's more like I project myself onto her as a baseline.

What's Alli's family like?

She doesn't remember! Alli had her memory of her family wiped by Nadja (her vampookie). She was never close with them and nor were they close to her. I swear it's not because i can't decide on a "before-ghoul" backstory for her!!! And for those wondering, her last name is "Doe". Which was also meant to just be a placeholder name but once again, it stuck with me

How does Alli's stigma work?

As mentioned in my other lore posts about her, her stigma allows her to compel living things. This works on plants, animals, and living anomalies. Her stigma works better on targets with low-intelligence. Her stigma is pretty resistable, which is why it doesn't work too well on people. Anything with willpower can fight against her control. The incantation for her stigma is "ialan".

What was Alli and Nadja's relationship like?

It was fairly good despite the power dynamic between vampiress and mortal. Nadja cared for Alli, but more so like how someone would care for a pet. imbalanced power dynamics is a recurring thing within Alli's relationships. Alli wished for Nadja to turn her into a vampire, and Nadja agreed as long as Alli vowed herself to her. She agreed, but Nadja was staked before they could go through with the wedding.

What was Nadja like?

Nadja was basically the opposite of Ed. She wasn't a very powerful vampire, but she cared a lot for humans and the relationship between them and anomalies. Nadja worked hard to convince The Institute to adapt a more "pro-anomaly" mindset.

Alli's past relationships?

She's only been in two official relationships. Before Nadja, there was Mori. Mori was a zombie, and by proxy, an anomaly. Alli took care of him behind The Institute's back. I haven't really fleshed out this part of her backstory much, but basically because of her relationship with Mori, she developed "acts of service" as a love language. But not in the healthiest way. She believes that when people owe her, they can easily repay her with affection (be it platonic or more), even if they don't like her. This "affection" is what drives her.

What's Alli's bond with Kithy like?

Alli sees Kithy as her son, and Kithy sees Alli as his mom. Alli is convinced that when she found Kithy, it was a sign from "the mighty lord Cthulhu". What kind of sign? Who knows! Things happened and now she believes in a fictional god. Alli takes good care of Kithy and loves him a lot as if he really was her son.

Kithy is a lot like Calamari in both appearance and intelligence. However, Kithy is green. And has bat wings. And he's smarter (in theory). Due to Alli not being a responsible parent when she first found Kithy, hes now a degenerate iPad kid who watches elsagate and veiwfarm channels. Alli is a little disappointed in her eight-legged son, but she still loves him anyways.

Why does she like reptiles so much?

Why not? Reptiles are cool. and she just naturally bonds with them easily. She's also a good match for them since many reptiles are venomous or poisonous and shes immune to most toxins. On the contrary - Alli is absolutely terrified of marsupials. As an order of animals, they hate her and actively are out to get her. She works fine with all other kinds of animals. It just sorta happened through roleplay, but she's also incompetent when it comes to supervising animals. She takes good care of the animals under her care... she just can't keep them out of trouble.
