Me: can't help it I'm a thalassophile and therefore I must always use beige, khaki, turquoise, teal, aqua blues, whites of all shades. Let the coastal creations commence!
"Nice bag. You know, that looks perfect to use only for holidays like Easter"
Me: ...my coastal bag is to be used every time I feel like it. What are you talking about.
"Those oceanic colors don't match with your current outfit so don't use it."
Me: it's not about what looks nice TO YOU but what feels right and fun to use FOR ME.
"Why don't you add (whatever) to your creation. It'd look great if you add (whatever). And, how about next time, you actually use a leather bag bottom instead?"

oh but now it is all grief
#ok basically yesterday i talked to someone i haven’t seen in over a year#we used to be super super close and things ended in an insane dramatic way#and nothings felt real since#but it went well and we talked a ton#and like also talked about loose ends of our d&d campaign for almost 3 hours#(& like sort of finished the story which i’d also done with the other party members. it doesn’t feel over over bc i need to talk to them#also again)#but it felt like an ending and i haven’t been able to cry about anything bc it was too hard#and now it is grief and feels bittersweet#and i miss being friends and it’s hard that i will never have them again like i once did#also end of month is moms death anniversary#& next month is one year of massive falling out with a different friend who did some fucked up stuff#i’m trying to cling to everyone i have left and it’s like. one day this will all change too

#[cherry on top]#undertale yellow spoilers#[..its still you]#anyways. finished my uty playthrough yesterday. oh my god.#^ that might be a bit of a surprise given that ive said like. nothing about it on here#but honestly i felt like positive-neutral about the game for most of it. like yeah it was good;#but nothing that drove me crazy. yknow? it was just an overall good game.#which is why i didnt really say anything about it#then it started picking up near the middle-end with the steamworks-#i enjoyed axis and guardener a lot; ceroba was a cool party member;#and the music in steamworks goes hard. one of my favorite tracks tbh#then there was the buildup to cerobas fight.#then i /got/ to cerobas fight and. crumples up into a ball AAUUUUUUUUUU#OH MY GODDDDDD#something about it made me shatter into a million tiny pieces.#a lot of things did actually. like how HARD IT WAS#i was stuck on her for OVER AN HOUR#BUT I DID IT. I DID IT LEGIT. IT WAS SO SATISFYING WHEN I FINALLY BEAT HER#god im just insane about ceroba rn. women who fuck up everything big time#and see no other option other than to dig their hole deeper because they sure as hell arent getting out of it#OH AND THE ENDING... BECAUSE OH MY GODDDD OF COURSE CLOVER WOULD DO THAT AHUGHHHHH#THEY'RE THE JUSTICE SOUL. #(I'm back)#It was. Uhm. A chapter#First of all: I'm ENDLESSLY GRATEFUL to the person who sent me the translation basically as soon as the chapter came out.#I even did like 90% of typesetting but didn't finish it because I had to go out#(aka with my friends were literally knocking out at my room and I couldn't make it any more late lol)#Mixed feelings about it? Mostly because there's so much exposition... I'll need to reread it another three times before it sinks in#The color page is AMAZING 10000000000000/10 I love my sskks so much they're so cute I love them so much they're so cute.#Easily the best part of the chapter.#The color page was? Very very pretty too? Like a lot more than usual if you ask me! I can't wait for the volume cover 🥺🥺#It should come out soon shouldn't it? Usually color spreads / pages open the volume...#Akutagawa fake dying again is funny. Like it isssss but also. Idk it's a little lame how we're changing the pov from ss/kk again :/#I can't even tell if I'm being biased or if it's an actual storytelling critique. I don't care right now I just want to see Akutagawa–#being cool rather than. You know. Dead on the ground.#That said! It's also very funny and touches my sense of humor precisely.#Like yeah Akutagawa being like the second strongest pm member and overall one of the most powerful ability user in the world–#that everyone fears (and I know he is! listen Chakotay/Seven is bad for many reasons but it really doesn't bother me as much as it should because it's so poorly written that it just ends up feeling like both Chakotay and Seven were in love with Janeway and realized it would never work out so they just shrugged and starting dating each other. (i'm not even that much of a shipper either but like. the subtext is there for both JC and J7.) you cannot convince me that they didn't mutually break up before they even landed on Earth and then they never talked about it again.
and to add to the comedy, both Janeway and Seven know that if Voyager didn't get home then Seven and Chakotay would have gotten married and both died, etc etc while Chakotay, if i recall, just Never Learns This. Chakotay goes about the rest of his life thinking "oh yeah i went on a few dates with Seven but it never went anywhere" and then Seven and Janeway are just haunted by this alternate timeline. peak comedy tbh.
#if the writers put more effort into c7 it really would have pissed me off more#but as is its so easy just to write off and not think about#like do the other voyager crew members even learn that they were dating???#the writers tried to throw in a romance for more drama or whatever but it literally doesnt matter#voyager#star trek voyager#chakotay#seven of nine#kathryn janeway#my posts#anyways i need to finish a commission today but what if i kept writing about voyager. i need to study this crew like theyre bugs.#i need to write a picard era fic of raffi slowly learning all the weird shit that was happening on voyager

#im posting this very late because i was sort of weary of how it came out and ended up messing w it until it was like 4am oops.#and i have plans tmrw so... oh well! i did my best and ill put it out while i can!#and i tried to make the scene match barnard's colors lol#finn's ocs#finn's art#i know i said id do more sillay stuff with the simpler screentone only style but i had a couple more of these in me#and this is the first piece im making thats like an actual part of the story too rather than just setting stuff for fun#i wanna write something to go with it too but for now ill just sort of briefly explain the context in the tags here:#barnard has a pretty bad case of OCD and his compulsions have made it difficult to make friends in the past#he was never outright bullied or anything but people just didnt really have the patience to deal with it#he has compulsions that include stuff like walking through doors until it feels right and needing things to be perfectly aligned#which in group settings has lead to people having to wait for him to finish his rituals and join them#they might find it tolerable at first but eventually they grow impatient and hes just... not invited to stuff anymore#but juno is a newer member of the guild who ends up frequenting the same library. hes also kinda a little weird#and they dont become fast friends or anything but just sort of naturally spend time in the same place#though they never plan meetups they eventually fall into a routine. around the same time theyd just both be at the library#and read next to each other. and maybe talk a bit. and eventually they end up walking back to the guildhall together#since theyre going to the same place after all. and juno always waits for barnard outside the door#eventually barnard asks if this bothers him. juno kinda just tells him 'of course it does' without any malice or anything. just a statement#barnard is surprised and apologizes and juno says not to. but the next day juno doesnt show up at the usual time.#barnard assumes hes committed somekinda more by bringing it up. he ends up staying there late reading to get his mind off it & not ruminate#but when he leaves juno is in fact still waiting for him down the hall (see pic) having collected a bunch of books literally abt ocd#he fell asleep bc barnard stayed later than expected. and hes an eepy guy generally. and also one very bad at expressing himself#but now barnard gets that juno's 'of course it [bothers me]' had the implication of 'but its worth it' which no friend has previously done.#and from the interaction juno was also able to understand that this isn't something barnard just does for the hell of it so. he studies.#and checks a bunch of stuff out because he thinks it could help his friend too (theres ocd workbooks and such- i remember working w them)#and thats the point where they became more ''friends'' than ''pleasant library acquaintances''#from there on they also do get into juno's problems. whole other bag of worms. but this specific scene is more about bernard from his pov#sorry about when i said briefly explain. i lied </3#but compared to the whole sequence im picturing its brief so shhh

Writing core four is so funny because they just take the steering wheel and write themselves in a different direction than I intended. Sure, you can have a Bart & Cassie hug. It makes sense in context but no I did not plan that at all it just happened.

today has become one of those days where I berate myself for not doing enough of all my hobbies and exercising and cleaning and cooking and watching things and such and ohh man how easy it is to gaslight myself into believing making a "schedule" will fix all my problems.

Maya on the other hand?
