what’s your basis behind shipping frobin? not trying to hate on it or anything, it’s just that i’ve never really felt particularly compelled to it as a ship, so i’d be curious to hear your thoughts behind it!

I really love both Robin and Franky's stories and how they're interwoven throughout Water 7 and Enies Lobby, and I think their narratives really lend to a very beautiful poetic pairing. Their moment on the train was electric, it's hard for me to really explain why that is haha. He's building the foundations for the future and she carries the voices of the past. They've both been broken - both physically and mentally to some degree - and had to put themselves together on their own until they couldn't anymore, and they found a home that they literally get to live their second lives together. Ship or not, I find their relationship very warm and comfortable with one another and that's. Super sweet. Their banter is always funny - her comments never come off as mean or angry, just blunt or playful in her own way. It reads to me like they're very not traditionally married but basically married. They for sure match each other's freaks. Other things like the fact that Franky is kinda built like Saul is some pathological level of sweet to me. Idk, the woman who was called a weapon her whole life and the man who turned himself into one because he loves them so much speaks to me more than a lot of ships can.

None of them are canon obviously and I doubt any will be, but I cannot deny the connection these two have even if we're just talking ancient weapons and void century stuff.

They're also just really fucking hot! What can I say!

Absolutely underrated aspect of Season 6 is Demetri's bile fascination with Axel. Like I hate this guy so much that I'm going to re-create his exact likeness, down to every tiny detail, in a VR for the express purpose of teaching my friend how to best beat the shit out of him. I'm also going to pay obscenely close attention to every modicum of how he fights and ALSO put that in the VR--for tactical purposes, you understand, not because I enjoy studying the male body. Fuck this guy for real. He reminds me of a Marvel character famous for being scary and gay-coded and also of a literary character where people have been debating for 2 centuries whether or not he is a gay allegory. That's not wishful thinking, no, it's just an observation. You literally can't beat him. He's unstoppable. Why even try. He's practically superhuman. He's a minor god, even. Look at that height and those muscles and that roaring. Peak performance. I swear I'm not staring at his stupid invincible biceps that could snap me like a twig. I am horrified yet impressed at his ability to adapt to new fighting moves and adopt novel stances. Disgusting. I'm intrigued. Show me more. Demetri watches Axel much like one would watch Cats 2019. He's not enjoying anything he's seeing. In fact, it's actively causing him distress and misery. But by god, some sick, twisted part of his brain is thoroughly enraptured. And by god, he can't look away.

Honestly, idk since when I like this pairing.

They're like enemy to lovers coded, but it's a bit more complicated than that... Since they're not really enemies to begin with, they're both fighting for similar things but for different reasons.

And they both have reasons to dislike/distrust one another, but by the end, Sonja was willing to give Sinbad a chance as a Captain, and Sinbad was willing (If not a bit surprise) to give her a chance as well. Specifically, to improve the relation of Rustport with Brineville.

Both of them are unconventional enemies (Because of their background), and in turn during Scandia isle, unconventional allies (Because they're both stranded, and needing each other's expertise).

I can honestly see a relationship forming between these two, one that is strained from the beginning, but both are willing to mend it, even if it's a slow process.

I can find it especially difficult for Sinbad, but seeing the genuine kindness, and help she wanted to provide, to heal the pain that Tesio caused to all of them.

It gives him hope, maybe maybe this can be done.

Even not romantically, their friendship could still be very intriguing, I'm still playing with it.

But at the end, I could see these two having a genuinely lovely relationship.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Witchlight Chuckles (I can’t say anything about Stardust Rhapsody Chuckles since I haven’t seen it yet) seems almost like…a semi-decent person? Chaotic, certainly, but also just kinda…chill? As long as you’re not Gideon, anyway (canonically, he seems pretty chill with Gid from what little I saw of the Halloween oneshot)

I only bring this up bc i decided to watch the first Yuletide oneshot (Christmas spirit and all that), and Chuckles is already offering everyone snacks. I mean, they’re made of drugs and probably some other demonic clown substance, but to be fair, Briggsy can’t taste and I’m sure Bitsy and Torbek have eaten worse (I mean, Bitsy has literally eaten hairy floor sausages, so)

not to sound like a grandparent but just to clarify for my own sanity 'crackship' does not mean any non-canonical ship Crackships = nonsensical ships that have no basis in the canonical text and a relationship between the characters is farfetched to the point of absurdity. Jayce/Viktor (for example) is not a crackship just b/c it's not canon since the basis for their relationship is rooted in canon and it has some semblance of narrative coherency - even casual viewers can watch Arcane and think to themselves Jayce/Viktor makes sense. Jayce/Babette would be a crackship. I would argue that Viktor/Silco is a crackship. Calling Jayce/Viktor a crackship or saying you ship Jayce/Viktor even though it's a crackship misunderstands what a crackship is and I don't know if people are doing that b/c they are confused about what a crackship is or because they want to devalue ships they don't like by referring to them as a crackship, either way, hopefully this is helpful.
