So I just read all 914 pages of Fool’s Fate in one day. I don’t think I’ve ever read that much in one day ever. These books are so good holy snickerdoodles I love the politics and the amazing worldbuilding (robin writes matriarchies and different societal structures SO GOOD) and the realistic characters and Fitz’s unreliable narration and also the gay ass ‘friendship’ between him and the fool (fitz ‘no homo but also my bond with you is deeper than my love for anyone else including my other half bonded wolf and my wife and also sex’ farseer)

i saw someone say that ciri has too good of a male role model in geralt to be a lesbian i cannot believe to this day that men still believe that women are only lesbians bc they have had bad encounters w men. men truly believe that everything is abt them to the point where a woman can only be a lesbian BECAUSE of smth a man did to her. bc of course the default for women is that they are attracted to men and smth has to happen to remove that attraction. there is no way a woman could ever just be born w/o an attraction to men. it is truly sick to think that way. and it’s not even just that it’s abt validating themselves to still believe that a lesbian is sexually available to them. bc oh deep down she IS attracted to men she is just repressing it bc of her bad experiences w men and THINKS she only likes women. but of course if she met the right man she will realize she was just being silly and liked men the whole time 🙄 men need to get tf over themselves. u r a pile of flesh and bones and one day u will rot in the ground and ur ego won’t exist to make you feel important anymore. and lesbians will still exist with no attraction to men forever and ever.

The ideas me and my friend had for how we'd write warren as a character go smth like this:

A sort of feeling of distance from the other xmen, because of his status as someone highly wealthy and upperclass. Smth i like to explore in the xmen universe is how different characters' backstories might "interact", for lack of a better word, with their status as marginalized people. In this case warren is essentially in another dimension compared to the other xmen since hes from a family of extreme wealth and privilege, and thus his lived experiences, mutant or otherwise, are different compared to his companions

Internalized xenophobia. Blasting that mf with it. Smth i WISH theyd explore is the fact that warren would likely feel extreme conflict abt his mutation bc like. On one hand bc of his father and his upbringing warren would likely feel like an absolute freak, on the other his mutation grants him a sense of freedom and expression hed never have otherwise

Transgenderism be upon him. Personally i lean towards transfem warren bc um. I can but seriously TRANSGENDER METAPHOR

Id LOVE to put him in contrast with hank as a character bc they seriously work so well as narrative foils AND as character contrasts like. The dynamic between "My mutation is, at it's best, something that people would find grotesque or unusual [his funney feet]" vs "my mutation is something that elevates my beauty and ive been mistaken for a literal messenger of god"??? Insane. Please may i see more of it. Also like. The fact that both of them have mutations that are extremely physical in nature vs the other xmen is insane please may i see more. Im tired of warren/bobby as a dynamic thats just two white twinks everyone ships together please can i see warren and hank.
