In another lifetime / I would never change my mind / I would do it again / A thousand times / Just to let you in here / Where you make me lose my mind / In another life I'd do it all again / A thousand times. 👨❤️👨
Go check out this AMV for Sonic & Tails my friend made and put out last night!!! It's super well done and really shows Sonic and Tails' bond through the whole franchise. 🥹
I'm sorry, but when I relistened to High Waters.. it really sounded like Vessel going so insane because of what the others said in their own analysis.. but also! I think there is something more than that.
This song is a mention of depression swallowing you whole. Like something I like to describe it... Paranoia, Derealization and the album seems like the waters are drowning you in deep sorrows. There was no escape and this will be your tomb of suffering.
Sounds like something I can relate.. i'm not sure if I really have depression, but that sounded like I tried to catch the love I want. But no, instead.. the waters are drowning me whole.
from the use of the marigolds (a flower frequently associated with the connection between life and death that also symbolizes the concepts of grief and despair and hope and healing - what better flower to represent the contradictions within kashika and akito?) to the preserved butterflies (a really clever touch, actually - butterflies are a symbol of transformation and growth, and depicting them as preserved and stuck behind glass adds to kashika's themes of life and death; i mean, is taxidermy not a form of "suspended animation?" for akito, kashika is a song about being on the cusp of a monumental transformation and knowing this and knowing you are about to let your old self die to make way for the new and wavering in place; i just think preserved butterflies is a good visual representation for all that) (also butterflies are sometimes thought to represent the souls of the dead, so... fun fact!) to vivid bad squad(+meiko) coming together in the center of the ribcage to form a heart to the soft beauty of the art as a whole ...
who gave this mv the right to be so be so goddamn beautiful ??????
