You cannot convince me this isn't a guilty pleasure of his. I can absolutely see him pulling on some sweatpants and watching Love Island with MC on lazy day.

Sometimes, when your life is stressful, you just want to sit down and watch the DUMBEST thing possible. Pure junk food for the gray matter, you know? Can't get enough of the trashy romance shows in particular.

He gets pretty invested, even if he denies it. He'll usually pick out a favorite person or favorite couple and gets PISSED if anything happens to them. Everyone else, he couldn’t care less about.

If he misses a week, he'll get a text from MC asking if his favorite person/couple is still doing okay and nothing more. If something big happened though, he'll secretly clear his schedule so he has time to watch it with them as soon as possible.

Very "husband who says he doesn't care but the second you mention the name of a person he doesn't like, he'll go on a 20 minute tirade" sorta vibe.

Mammon

A very enthusiastic enjoyer of these kinds of shows. He loves the drama!

Definitely has one of the long running-types (like Vanderpump Rules) like a comfort show, though he mostly sticks to Demon RTV. MC isn't going to have a CLUE what 2nd Circle Beats or Devildom Dynasty is all about...

Mammon strikes me as someone who either has been on or auditioned for a reality show in the past. Just... look at him. Tell me he hasn't!

His modeling agent probably told him to so he could get better shoots... But I'll guess he was pretty popular on whatever he showed up on. Fan favorite for sure!

Would definitely show MC some of his favorite shows if they're into that short of thing. Demon RTV is.... edgier (the violence gets pretty heated) but the causes are all the same. They should be in for a good time!

Leviathan

Reality TV is for normies!! Why would he want to watch that???

The very thought of watching attractive people go on and on about their love lives makes him physically ill... Like he doesn't get enough of that stuff from Asmo and Mammon already!!

If MC is going to try and get him to watch ANY of them, it has to be a show that's almost guaranteed to be a mess from the outset like Love After Lockup or MILF Manor (which is a crime against humanity, btw. Sigmund Freud haunts us all.)

Make him sit through a second of Too Hot to Handle or F-Boy Island and he may straight up dump them. Or melt into a smoldering pile of envious goo.

If easy-watching is what they want, why can't they watch something else? Like a cuddly Slice-of-Life or some dumb card game anime?? There's even sports anime FAR more worth their investment with a billion times the substance!!

Not a reality TV fan. Keep it away from him. He'll whine, mope, or go ballistic if he has to see it.

Satan

Approaches human reality shows kind of like he's watching a nature documentary... but still laughs at the stupid bits.

Watching a trashy reality show with Satan can be pretty entertaining because he'll spend the whole time trying to grasp "human culture" from all the chaos. Or try to deconstruct why anyone would want to what these shows AS one is playing.

What's even funnier is when he makes comparisons between how things happen in the show and how they would play out in Devildom instead. Like, if a succubus catches their SO cheating, they'll either add the new partner into the relationship or behead them both. Depends on the day.

Particularly fond of one's that follow around bombastic families because then he also gets to pick apart human family dynamics in the process.

MC has to constantly remind him that a lot of it is staged and not EVERYTHING he sees to true to human life.... but it is true to human entertainment.

Asmodeus

Keeps up with both human AND demon reality shows and has even hosted a couple in the past!

He LIVES for the tea! He BREATHES in the drama! Man can't get enough!! He'll even skim through the tabloids and keeps up with any feuds like he's following genuine war updates.

Since Asmo is such a popular figure in Devildom public life, it isn't even surprising for the paparazzi to stop HIM to get a few photos and ask him his opinions on any fights or scandals.

Unlike Mammon, he's never been in one himself (MC has no idea how bloody Demon RTV can get and does he want to ruin his skin like that?? Hell no!). He doew hang out with the stars of shows he likes all of the time, though.

He sometimes has watch parties with Mammon and MC gets invited along now. Being in the middle of those two is insane because it's like getting to know ALL of the dirty laundry of the kingdom's elite at every get together. Gossipy bitches be chattin' fr.

Beelzebub

Man will watch anything as long as they supply the snacks.

Does Beel care about reality shows? No. Not even a little bit. Will he watch all 16 seasons of Married at First Sight as long as MC refills his popcorn bowl? Absolutely!

Honestly, poor Beel can hardly keep up with the drama anyway... If a show has too many love triangles, he'll lose track of who's dating who and sit there lost for an excruciating amount of time.

Was even more confused about why anyone would watch these shows after MC told them they were staged. All that shouting is over nothing...?? This is a really weird genre...

MC would have an easier time getting him invested in like... I dunno a cooking game show than anything having to do with relationship drama. Though they would run the risk of soaking the couch in drool if they try...

Belphegor

Not super into them or super against them. He'll watch one in the background until he inevitably falls asleep.

Belphie is probably one of the brothers most likely to agree to watch any reality show MC wants with them, but with the understanding that's he's only using it as an excuse for cuddle time.

Belphie weirdly has both zero emotional investment in anything happening on the screen but also a frighteningly good memory for what actually happens per episode... MC could quiz him on actor personalities, timelines, scandals, or relationships and he'll somehow always get it right.

He can tell you that Vassago and Sitri from 2nd Circle Beats are having a feud over who sent the succubus to crash Baal's birthday party, but seriously don't expect him to care. He wants soft blankets and warm bodies to nap to. Give him that and he's happy.

Part of it is just learned behavior. Belphie was Asmo's go-to watch buddy for the longest time. Whatever part of his brain that soaks up class lessons in his sleep seems to work just as well for the dramatic minutiae of a reality show, so he's like a walking DVR.

Diavolo

Thinks that all reality shows are so quaint and amusing, but they definitely skew his impression on everyday human life...

After being exposed to some of the longer running shows, he was really surprised that MC and Solomon are so... chill with each other?

I mean. They weren't throwing drinks, talking shit, or stabbing each other in the back every second of day, right? Obviously they must be quite close!

He even comments on how truly well they must get along as Master and Apprentice! Such a beautiful bond... Stronger than their natural human impulse for complete social and emotional disorder!!

(Please educate him on actual human dynamics and NOT just the ones that get dramatized for TV. We're not that bad, Dia, promise.)

Barbatos

Doesn't exactly like the shows, nor does he have time for them, but if MC likes them then he'll swallow his distain.

Honestly, Barbs looks down on the humans in reality shows even more than he does most of humanity in general. The things some of them would do to chase fame is simply... Well. He looks forward to seeing certain individuals among damned one day.

He probably busies himself by giving MC a foot rub or caring for their nails while they watch their shows. Anything that can keep his eyes off the screen.

Occasionally, something OUTRAGEOUS will happen and MC will hear him make a small scoff of disapproval, but that's about it.

He's well aware that a portion of what is presented is fake or at least staged to some degree, so he doesn't let it paint his perception of human culture. That said, he thinks that anyone who's willing to make a spectacle of themselves for a public audience speaks quite enough on its own. (And seriously don't get him started on the demon variety of these shows unless you want to seem him get grouchy).

Simeon

Also not the biggest fan, but he does enjoy getting to guiltlessly throw shade from time to time.

At some level, Simeon thinks it's a little impolite to gawk at total strangers and judge how they handle their relationships... butvon the other hand, they ARE the ones who agreed to the cameras so...

Has a strict policy to never watch reality shows in front of Luke so he doesn't get a bad influence. But also, so the little angel doesn't end up hearing the absolute INFERNO that Simeon roasts the actors with.

"Ah... So naturally gifted in all but wits!" "I do believe that young man is quite familiar... I think I once saw something much like him at the bottom of my shoe." "Mm? MC? Are you sitting on the remote? I think you may have changed the channel to Devildom TV... No? Oh. My mistake. They just seemed so heartless that I thought they'd fit in well here..."

Tearing. Scathing. His contempt cannot be contained. It is, however, a good outlet for him so please let him roast away!

Solomon

Guy is so out of touch with the modern era that watching these shows is just as bizarre to him as watching a viewing screen into a Victorian ballroom would be to us. Who keeps creating these strange words every other month...?

Reality dating shows give him whiplash. People get married now after 90 days? Or at first sight?? Or before they even SEE each other at all??? The last time he ever thought of courtship, it was still mostly arranged by the couple's families... Things have really sped up.

Not that he's complaining too much, because that gives him all the more reason to go through with his fantasy of proposing to then marry the MC in less than 12 hours (or however long before the brothers notice he's attempting to steal them away).

He feels like he has a leg up on the angels and demons around them for once because at least MC doesn't have to stop and explain human customs to him every five seconds. ... Just the modern ones.

I feel like watching Reality TV with Solomon is a very, "Let's get a little drunk and laugh at the screen" sort of affair. Very loose with a lot of jokes flying at the actors expense. He may or may not remember what all happens in the show, but hey, it's good fun!

Hahahahaha I absolutely get this feeling! And boy that is a very very good question and a favorite of mine given how much I love Odysseus's relationships with his peers or men! And it is not random at all! I think it is a massively important question because the Iliad is not a pure war novel that talks about the anger of a demigod. It is also a story of war companionship, friendship and cooperation etc so the relationships between the heroes is great. And probably have noticed from this fanfiction of mine that I love exploring the two of them in regards to Odysseus and the other way round.

I am incredibly sorry if this gets long again for I have no self-control hahahaha!

So let's start with what they have in common. Both men, Diomedes and Menelaus, hold great respect for Odysseus at least as far as Homer is concerned (because dynamics are vastly different in post-homeric sources). Both kings seem to be speaking with the warmest words for Odysseus in the Odyssey as I have also slightly touched to my analysis about Achilles and Patroclus relationship. Basically Menelaus speaks on how Odysseus's fate makes him distressed so much that he cannot eat or sleep anymore. He also yells in exaspiration when Telemachus mentions how the suitors are eating away Odysseus's wealth and pry on his wife. During the Iliad Menelaus considered Odysseus nothing less than irreplacable and valuable. You can see my analysis here but here's the original passage and my own translation for it:

But let's go and help him, that's the best course! For I am afraid if anything bad happened to him as he is isolated by the Trojans, he will be incredibly missed by the Danaans!

So basically he says "if we lose him we're done for!". In Menelaus's mind Odysseus is an irreplacable valuable friend. He even leads him out of battle the best he can till his chariot comes to take him. Diomedes thinks similarly of him in the Iliad. In fact in 10th rhapsody of the Iliad when he chooses him as the partner for the counterspy mission to the Trojan side he says (again my translation);

If you ask from me to pick a partner to go with, how can I choose anyone else but godly Odysseus who has both fast wits and heroic heart and works hard for everyone, Pallas Athena loves him. If I follow him even through wild fire, we shall both return, this I know very well!

So yeah once again we have a complete flattery here. Diomedes thinks there is no better man than Odsseus to go with him on a mission because he believes in his skills and he knows both of them shall return from the battle which almost seems like he wants to redeem himself since two rhapsodies prior he lashes out to Odysseus calling him a coward for running lol! But I shall elaborate further below.

So both heroes have the most profound respect for Odysseus in battle and as a person. Now apart from that the differences between each person's appreciation or differences with each other seem to be very few and they seem to be ematating from the ages of the characters.

Menelaus is closer to Odysseus in age than Diomedes who is arguably the youngest among the kings so his relationship with him seems to be more direct in the level of experience in life and they speak in a more diplomatic or daresay "equal" manner in the essence of their age. Diomedes and Odysseus seem almost to have like a father and son relationship or mentor and protege even if of course both kings are tecnically equal. I am talking on age only. Diomedes seems to be sticking around Odysseus almost like a son figure and Odysseus seems to be trusting Diomedes with his plans and missions like no other because he knows his capabilities in battle and they both share the love of the same patron goddess, Athena

In one way I feel it is the other way round; that Menelaus is generally meeker with Odysseus while as I talked here Diomedes accuses Odysseus two rhapsodies before his praise in rhapsody 10 because Odysseus didn't run to assist him save Nestor (Diomedes seemed to be disobaying the gods at that moment and he was stopped by a lightning of Zeus) but that is probably because Diomedes's personality is generally harsher and more straightforward which makes sense given that not only is he younger but also because he was a soldier since he was a child (he was 14 at the war of Epigonoi)

But for sure it all depends on how you personally interpret the characters as well! I usually do not interpret them as lovers in fact we do not have much of evidence for that however if you also interpret their relationship as such it is up to your perception really.

1. this is legit how they drew Dick. first of all, he is a baby and my son and second of all oh my god they knew what they were doing???

2. strangely in love with how Jason is straight older than Dick. and also the fact that they have a relationship before Dick does with Bruce is actually so cute to me. this older Jason/younger Dickie dynamic feels different to Reverse Robins AUs and I don't know how to describe that.

3. Cock Robin.

4. oh my god I hope this version of Slade and Dick interact. Dickie is so small here but also I really wonder if Dick's seemingly meta abilities (we'll get back to this) are what's gonna intrigue Slade in this universe.

5. Joker straight kidnapping Dick is so fucking interesting. Like oh my god?? Like he probably got Dick's parents killed if I'm reading the subtext of the panels sent right. what an absolutely insane plot-line. /pos

6. SPEAKING OF THE KIDNAPPING THOUGH- the fact that Joker is actively drugging, hypnotizing, and manipulating Dick is- oh my god that is incredibly tasty whump for this spin-off to have.

7. and finally, Dick's seemingly meta abilities. it doesn't seem to be clear what they are yet, but not only do they seem to imply he has them but also I really wouldn't see another reason for Joker to not only set up the kidnapping scheme but also all of the drugging and hypnotizing. like why else would he need to do that? meta Dick is such a guilty pleasure of mine and I really wanna see what they do with it.

in conclusion this spin-off is batshit insane and I honestly love it for that. I do not care about Batman or Superman in this tbh. I only care about Dickie and his whump. <3

Okay, first things first, let me outline my dream:

The dream was sort of from Sasuke's perspective on his graduation day from omega finishing school.

He sees Itachi and his parents in the crowd watching. Itachi graduated a few years before and was sorted into a 'housewife' omega type, so he is sitting with his alpha.

Itachi is wearing a cute pink skirt and an adorable chastity cage hehe. It was clear that his alpha had complete control over his wardrobe and had chosen his outfit for the day.

Naruto gets sorted first and gets told he's a breeding type, but a breeding type with a job. He must have at least five pups and he also run a daycare and look after other people's pups as well.

He is happy about it, and Sasuke begrudgingly agrees that it suits him, but that he himself would hate to get assigned that.

Then Shikamaru gets sorted as an 'exceptional case'. Whispers spread across the room because it was one of the rarest categories.

'Exceptional case' omegas have special skills, for example a very high intellect, and it means they get given special circumstances.

In Shikamaru's case, he must still be mated to an alpha, but he will be allowed and required to get a high powered job. He must have at least one pups, but if he doesn't want more, his alpha can't make him because it would impact his career.

He basically gets to live as a normal working member of society.

Sasuke is insanely jealous because that's the classification he wanted and is nervous because the chance of it happening twice in one graduation is incredibly slim.

Then it's his turn to be sorted.

And I either can't remember any more or I woke up at that point 😅

So how would I imagine classifications to work?

What kinds are there?

The classification list is incredibly long, but not every school offers every one ever year. It's based on what's available.

I think that omegas would be kept in their home areas, so if they live rurally, there's probably fewer classifications available to them.

The common classification types include: House spouse, breeding, public service, sex service, private service etc.

They would each have many, many subsections, for example public service could be childcare or even a teaching role at omega schools. Breeding could mean something as simple as having a specific goal for number of children, or it could mean being a professional surrogate. Sex service could mean a bunch of things from a high end style escort, to working in a brothel or in a specific household with a specific person/couple.

More rare classifications include: Exceptional cases, entertainers, full-time roleplays, specially chosen.

Exceptional cases, as mentioned, are omegas so skilled that they are more beneficial to society when they can use those skills. They aren't allowed to be unmated, but their alphas cannot force them to do certain things that other omegas might be subjected to.

Entertainers normally have lots of musical talent, or are exceptionally beautiful and good at acting, or maybe dancing of various kinds.

Full-time roleplayers fall into categories like littles, pets, etc.

Specially chosen omegas are basically bought by very powerful or rich people. Like, if the monarch or political leader picked out an omega, then they would do whatever that person wanted. This is very rare for obvious reasons.

Obviously there would be hundreds more, with so many sub categories and omegas getting a combination sorting is very common too.

How is a category decided?

I imagine it would be based on a few things. Mainly:

Physical health

Temperament

Job availability

Skills

Personal interests

Physical health: Obviously an infertile or sterile omega wouldn't be a great choice for a breeder. But in general, certain categories are more physically taxing than others, so an omega who can't do those roles for whatever reason, won't be assigned them.

Temperament: Omegas are all pushed towards certain personality traits, like being obedient and docile, but some take to it more than other. An omegas who gets into fights with staff or other omegas will be less likely to be mated. Omegas who struggle with the childcare classes won't be pushed towards roles with childcare. I imagine there are some babysitting exams for this.

Job availability: If there are no jobs for a certain category, then omegas probably won't be sorted into it. If they are really, really fit for the role, they can be moved somewhere where there are job openings.

Skills: Pretty self explanatory. What classes did the omegas get the highest marks in? Do they have any special talents?

Personal interests: This one is the most interesting in my opinion. I imagine that omegas would have personality quizzes, interviews and tests. Their teachers would definitely give statements too. But also, I imagine they'd be hooked up to things to measure their brainwaves while they're shown different roles, kinks or porn etc. So feelings of arousal or excitement are shown through brain waves and trusted much more than the omegas words.

Other comments:

I think omegas would be a bit rarer than betas and alphas, but not to an extreme degree.

Any classifications that involve getting mated, involve the finishing school and family of the omega working together to find a compatible mate.

Some already have mates lined up or are chosen by very rich or powerful people before they graduate.

A horrible system of course, but... hot in fantasy 😏🤭

I remember reading older fanfictions about Helia/Trix friendships and I found their dynamic really interesting! I can’t find it anymore but there was a post about Helia befriending them in his first year (and most likely the Trix’s first year as well if I remember correctly they were seniors in season 1) as a little act of rebellion from Red Fountain.

I had this hc of Helia being friends with them and particularly close to Icy then having a fallout once he realises what they are up to. Maybe he found out or unknowingly helped them discover they were descendants of the Ancestral Witches, or alerted them about Stella’s scepter and out of guilt he quit rf and disappeared! Then he came back because he knew but he never said anything and it ended up almost causing the destruction of Magix.

I like the idea of Helia not telling anyone he knew the Trix personally then them finding out later on! The angst potentiall!! But then again I don’t think the Trix would keep quiet about it either!

AAGGHHH i've read fics like that too!! there was one a while back about like 14 year old helia meeting the trix and becoming friends with icy specifically! and then when he came back from art school, he couldn't believe they were the witches who destroyed everything. there may have been a scene with him going through the tunnels to cloud tower to confront them but i might be thinking about something else?

anyway! i love those fics :') icy/helia is such a guilty pleasure pairing of mine. he's such her type! just without the crazy murderous personality. plus i love the darcy/helia friendship dynamic as well (besties who judge together!!) and stormy/helia dynamics would be SO chaotic like she would stress him out so much. but i can also see stormy letting out her cute side around him more since he wouldn't judge her for that

tbh i don't think he would ever purposely help them or withhold information from rf, but i can see him wanting to believe they're still good and trying to get info on his own first/change their minds. the idea of helia helping them realize they're descendants of the ancestral witches is INSANE i love that!!

and yes! i feel like helia wouldn't want to tell anyone he was close to them or at the very least he would make it sound like they were barely acquaintances and not actual friends. saladin would probably know, but i can't imagine helia wanting to tell the specialists or winx. and a dramatic reveal later on is so good!! but at the same time, the trix would never let him live it down!! they'd immediately reveal that info once they know helia is back at rf Or friends with the main groups. like,, OUGH it's so hard to figure out how the reveal would go yknow?

ya know what..... Kalim is one of those sunshine characters that naturally interacts and "befriends" so many characters. It's always the sunshine characters that I'm drawn to put in a giant poly-hole where basically everyone is in love with them. It just makes sense.

Kalim x Silver: He's always waking Silver up in class and tries to help is drowsy spells. They're also just one of the few genuinely sweet guys on campus so it's pure fluff. A bonus advantage is that since Silver is a Trained Knight (or on the road to be) he can protect Kalim from assassination attempts.

Kalim x Ruggie: Eat The Rich w/ a twist. My precious hyena boy DESERVES to get married to a sincere Sugar Daddy (or as my gf and I like to say, Sugar Bestie™). He's worked hard enough and Kalim is one of the few upper class individuals that would NEVER use his money or status to control, manipulate or abuse another. He just wants to help out and the endless positivity would not only bring Rugs outta his comfort zone but would also impact those in his hometown A LOT.

Riddle x Kalim: Not a favorite, but I get it. Two kids from wealthy families (one more wealthy than the other) who were kinda isolated from the "regular" world and gotta figure shit out for themselves away from their former caretakers. Obvi, very different contexts and personality but that's what helps them depend on one another. Even when they can't relate, they can Listen and Grow together.

Floyd x Kalim: ARE YOU KIDDING THEY'RE ADHD BUDDIES?!?!? Not only can they relate with similar neurological issues, but their common interests can be a safe zone for them to bond. On top of that, even with their reckless personalities and their overall lack of forethought, Floyd is STRONG and could protect Kalim from any pushback or consequences. They're also both raised by Extreme Capitalist (even thou we don't exactly know what the Tweels parents DO) so the business sense and exposure to the darker side of things probably wouldn't be too much of an adjustment for either side.

Obvi Jamil x Kalim: I know not everyone likes this ship (and considering the dynamic and difference in power/status I TOTALLY get it). Even if the relationship is seen through platonic soulmates, brother-like, or just a 'we-were-stuck-together-for-years-and-now-we-don't-know-how-to-live-apart' sitcom kinda vibe they'll ALWAYS be linked together. Besides, an angsty, complicated childhood friends to lovers story with repressed mutual pinning is a guilty pleasure of mine lol!

Whoever he gets paired with, regardless of if it's a ship that has an anchor in canon interactions or PURELY fueled by fanon crack, there's a billion tropes to work with before even having to dip into AU or Crossover. Kalim is a COMPLEX CHARACTER with so many random lore drops and info that has so much potential. Even when people are writing or creating fan-produces with a more 2d version of his character, he's still lovable!! He's one of the few reoccurring characters in a cast full of obnoxious, weird, arrogant, awful, annoying, egotistical, pigheaded teenage boys with the power of NUKES.... And isn't completely terrible.

Lemme reiterate, that I LOVE so many characters in Twisted Wonderland but boy do these kids get on my nerves. They're all little assholes in some way or another, but there's a range between "okay, pretty standard high schooler" to "IDC IF YOURE TRAUMATIZED NO AMOUNT OF BACKSTORY CAN EXCUSE YOUR ATTITUDE AND BEHAVIOR!!!!! YOU'RE A FUCKING INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL WTF" and Kalim is a lot chiller. He's irrational sometimes and often does things without thinking it through.... But he's also a kid who's allowed to make mistakes and grow now that he's away from the bubble he grew up in. He can interact with people of all walks of life and get that perspective.

And depending on who he's paired with, romantic or otherwise, it's fascinating and heart wrenching and awe inspiring to watch him grow through the lens and experiences of the other person(s).

Can you share your top three PolPru headcanons? I wanna be converted

Anon I hope this is worth the wait because I'm really bad at giving reasons for why you should ship things. My reasoning is they have history, they are dynamic, and they are aesthetically phenomenal.

So many ships fall flat to me because it lacks the ups and downs in any relationship, so polpru doesn't though and I think that's why it compells me since it's constantly shifting, there's no guarantee.

Plus there is so much to work with in terms of kink dynamics which is another benefit to me.

This is my main motivation continue learning polish since half of the polpru content you find is in polish.

Headcanon #1

Polpru marriage! So this is basically an amalgamation of many headcanons into one. Basically Gil has to get married and fast. Problem is no sane woman would marry him so he decides hmm Feliks is woman adjacent this will work, not like he has anything better to do. Needless to say Feliks is not amused.

Somehow they end up making this work and make it everyone's problem.

Headcanon #3

Before the commonwealth there was basically a three way stalemate between Feliks, Tolys, and Gilbert. This changes following the union of Poland and Lithuania. Needless to say, Gilbert is a little miffed that they allied. Gilbert loves with them during a large chunk of the commonwealth era and sleeps with both of them at times.

I had a draft that said this

You know whose fault it is that the teutonic knights got so powerful and became such a nuisance in the first place? Poland. Why? Because at one point, Poland was like "hey Teutonic knights we both love Jesus let's be friends and deal with these pagans! This won't go poorly at all!" Spoiler alert it did go poorly and the teutonic knights quickly became a problem for Poland eventually leading to the alliance with pagan lithuania (who would convert but still)

And this point is a fun one because Feliks chooses Liet who in Gil's mind is that "backwards savage pagan whore" rather than Gil. Gil's jealous hehe.

Prior to this there was a stalemate between the three powers and warfare went for hundreds of years and literally caused areas where their borders met to become completely depopulated. But Feliks' marriage with Tolys shifts the power to where they win and Gil loses. Cue battle of Grunwald. Now Gil is a fiefdom of the Polish Lithuanian commonwealth. This can lead to much potential with the lietpolpru triangle which I enjoy so much.

Zora x Nebra I honestly never thought about or would have thought about if not for the fandom. I'm not sure I can really imagine my personal perceptions of Zora and Nebra really getting along with each other seeing as they are so different as people and have such wildly different priorities and values, but if they did manage to come to appreciate, respect, and even admire their differences (as they do in some of the great fics I've had the pleasure to read about them 😊), then I could definitely support the ship. I can also see how the banter they might have would be fun and entertaining. I just personally don't have much of an opinion on it or any clear ideas on how it would happen or what their interactions with each other would be like, so I'd say I'm pretty neutral on this one personally, but I do see the appeal. ^^

Finral x Vanessa is a favorite pairing of mine for sure, though I also love them in a purely platonic sense as well. I did the big write up about them here, but to summarize, the Finral and Vanessa dynamic whether romantic or platonic has always been one of my favorite things in all of Black Clover. They just know each other so well, are so good for each other, and just care for each other so much and so deeply as friends. They're basically platonic soulmates in my opinion. For that reason, there is definitely a part of me that doesn't want to change the dynamic at all and doesn't want it to go to a romantic place. It is so beautiful and so healthy just as friendship and the world needs more examples of healthy, deep, and platonic relationships (and male-female friendships especially!), but... on the other hand, I'll admit imagining their friendship taking a more romantic turn someday is a huge guilty pleasure for me.

I'm usually not much into romance in fiction or in real life, but best friends to lovers (when it's done well) can really get to me, and in this particular case, I think, after everything Vanessa and Finral have both been through and suffered in their lives, it's just nice to imagine that they get to have a happy future and a relationship that's comfortable and easy with someone who really understands them—someone who is genuinely supportive and who truly sees them for who they are: both the good and the bad and who chooses to loves them anyway. 🩷💚

And I don't think it is completely impossible for them for find it with each other (even if it's definitely unlikely, especially now that Finral's history with Finesse has been established). While I do believe they are genuinely best friends (and not in any sort of "mutual pining" situation or something like that), the idea of them as a ship does make sense to me because I can imagine their relationship taking a more romantic turn under certain, specific circumstances (that take place way, way in the future after Finral does some serious soul-searching: learns to love himself, kicks that incessant flirting habit, builds confidence, and sorts out what it is that he actually wants, just to name a few things), and I can imagine a world where they could end up romantically interested in each other and happy together in that way, in a relationship that develops healthily and naturally by just building on that strong friendship foundation they already have kind of like the ‘icing on the cake’ of their already amazing bond. It's not impossible, I think, and I'll admit it is something I really enjoy thinking about and sometimes exploring in my fics.

They are definitely in the "guilty pleasure ship" category, but I do think it makes sense (to an extent) and it's extremely compelling for me and one of my favorite canon character x canon character pairings in Black Clover.

I got a little rambly in my answer there, so I'll put it under the cut.

Honestly, I only call myself a 'proshipper' because this is what modern fandom lingo dictates. I don't really gel with a lot of elements of 'proshipdom', if you will -- there seems to be some broad agreement that if you like Some messed up aspects in your fiction, you must like All of them. And I really don't! I ship ViJinx because I love their specific dynamic, not just because I'm hot for every taboo topic by default. I probably would've shipped them just as much if the show had just made them close childhood friends, for example. But I also have no issue with fictional incest ships, I think they can be fun and juicy.

Like you, I've always been really drawn to problematic and intense lesbian relationships. I like CaitVi plenty, and I think they're going to get a lot messier in S2, which I'm excited for. But ViJinx is just an insanely compelling dynamic. I love the toxic codependent yuri shit. I love the tenderness and the violence, their shared past that now feels completely inaccessible to them both, Jinx's obsessiveness, Vi refusing to give up the image of Powder she's clung on to for years... man, this shit just rocks, okay. I'm not gonna pretend that it doesn't.

I've never felt any guilt about shipping ViJinx, tbh. I'm a fandom oldbie, by which I mean I was around before the morality police took over, and everyone understood we were just here to mash Barbies and have a good time. I've shipped several incest pairings before this, and I've always had a blast doing it. And so help me god, I don't intend to stop now, even if my Twitter blocklist is twenty miles long. I just immediately cut out anyone who tries to start shit, and chill with my fellow weirdos. It's a pretty small circle, but it's a nice time!

Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones (10/10)

It's been a year since I reread Howl's Moving Castle and that's a bit too long in my opinion. This time it was with my book club, and it was so fun to see everyone's reactions to the story. I feel like every time I read this book I notice something new about Sophie's character or the magic or the romance. I just love this novel so much, the characters and plot are all just amazing and it has such a unique, comforting feel. Diana Wynne Jones is a master of the fantasy genre, and I have yet to read a book by her I didn't like.

Emily Wilde's Map of the Otherlands by Heather Fawcett (9/10)

This was a lovely continuation to the adventures of Emily Wilde. She's still a stellar protagonist with a really strong voice and lots of tangible flaws while still being incredibly likable. As usual, her dynamic with Wendell, both in a platonic and romantic way, is top tier; they really have me giggling and kicking my feet during this books. There are two new major side characters, who introduce a lot of good character conflict, and the return of some old favorites from Encyclopaedia of Faeries. The beginning is a little wonky in terms of pacing, but there are some great subplots in this one and some surprising throughlines from the previous book.

The Evil Queen by Gena Showalter (8/10)

Another reread, I think I'm just in the mood for fantasy romances. I will be completely honest and say that this book is a guilty pleasure of mine. I cannot look anyone in the eye and say this is well-written, but it certainly is enjoyable. Gena Showalter writes some really good chemistry, even if Everly and Roth are the fantasy equivalent of that one high school couple that can't stop getting mad at each other and breaking up before getting back together again. There's a lot of wish fulfillment in this story, and it's just a fun time for me.

Wolf-Speaker by Tamora Pierce (CR, 68%)

While I love this series, Wolf-Speaker was always my least favorite in the series. However, my opinion of it is improving because a) the message of unity and Daine's character growth are really good and b) I'm listening to an audiobook and it has a full cast and just has great voice acting. Unfortunately, I'm at a point in the book where Daine and Numair have been separated for a while, and I won't lie, I love his character and I'm missing him.

Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation Vol. 4 by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu (CR, 12%)

I'm so excited to finish up the MXTX novels! I've been putting them off because I wanted to read my physical copies thanks to the beautiful illustrations, and I've been abroad without them. I am kind of nervous about this one because I'm fairly certain this one includes the end of Wei Wuxian 1.0, which is going to be so painful to read. Still, I'm really excited to finish this one and Heaven Official's Blessing!

My dear readers, I think it’s time to make some things clear. I am a friendly person, indeed, and my inbox, along with the private chat, are always open.

First and foremost, as long as I love to interact and talk about my personal project, “Guilty Pleasure”, I’m not going to accept any kind of suggestion concerning the plot. Why? Well, the story is mine. I know when to make “fan services”, because I am a fan girl myself. When and if I have a doubt about something, I make sure to ask your opinion because I love the idea of my readers to enjoy the story. Yet, I am the writer. I decide what will happen, the dynamics between the characters, the personality of the characters and so long. Having said that, I absolutely adore reading your comments, answering questions and considering your assumptions. With that, I do not intend to offend anyone, but I have received some suggestions in my inbox and, honestly, they kind of give anxiety because this is not how I want to story to go. Having said that, I am sorry, but I will just ignore them. I hope whoever sent these texts will understand! If my fan fiction will not grant you in the future the same excitement it has given you in the past, quit reading.

Now, the second point is a not a strict rule. It’s more of a kind reminder that my requests are currently close! However, I have accepted all the ones I have received until the last few hours and I will do my best to write them down as soon as possible. Be aware that I am a University student and that I have a busy life out of here. Therefore, it may take me time to get them done. Do not be offended if I post personal projects too every now and then, because inspiration does not always come when it’s needed the most and, as a writer and reader, I would be ashamed to publish a shitty fiction just because I wanted to get it done. The key is be patient. I think it is painly clear that reminding me to get a fic done is pretty stressful and, consequentially, useless from your point of view because I will publish it only once I believe it is perfect.

Last but not least, my exams will be in June and July. Yeah, I know, life sucks. What does it mean? Basically, nothing important since I will still somehow find a way to post, but it may take me a little more time to get my works done!

I'm not the biggest angst girlie (more so a fluff girlie, especially if it's domestic fluff) but if It does have Angst I would prefer hurt/comfort because I can't handle pure angst or I will cry violently. Oh and I hate Miscommunication but that's because logically we know what the others are doing most likely but the characters don't so it just makes me want to scream.

A.k.a my Angst preference is like no super hard hurt no comfort because I can take Angst like almost dying and getting injured and stuff but I like there to be a side of comfort with it. also as long as there's no major character death, non-con, or underage stuff I'm pretty sure I can handle it.

Fav fic tropes however is a fun one and so I will list some that I have enjoyed:

Marriage proposals/weddings (like those are my favorite things and I can not explain why, Jay can let you know that It is in fact my bread and butter

Fake Dating is also a good one especially if it turns into real dating (I've read a 45k word one-shot about Buck and Eddie fake dating to go to Buck's parents' retirement party cause Buck didn't want to deal with his parents alone while Maddie is also trying to deal with their parents and it was so beautifully written my god I finished it in one 5 hour sitting it was wild)

Friends to lovers is also a favorite of mine because while some people are enemies to lovers fans I just prefer the opposite (and in Buck and Eddie's case I love the speedrunning friends to fiancés for them!!)

if it's a father figure/maternal figure and their perceived adoptive child story I love ones where they explicitly get told that the other sees them like a son/daughter or a mother/father like those are so good for me to read and it's why I love Buck and Bobby's dynamic so much because Buck says in the 9-1-1 and 9-1-1 lone star crossover that Bobby is kind of like his father figure AND IT'S JUST I need these two to actually have a conversation about it okay

also any stories that do like good character introspection about characters' backstories and their connections to people like I love me a good character study LIKE ONE TIME I READ A ONE-SHOT ABOUT BUCK AND HIS RELATIONSHIP TO ALMOST DYING AND IT WAS SO-

Sickfics are also a trope I love because I just love seeing characters get taken care of. The trust needed to have someone else take care of you while you're in a state that makes you achy and hurt and just genuinely miserable feeling just is so nice to me, especially since this trope can be used Platonically and Romantically it's just a good over-all trope.

This also feeds into another trope I like called a character gets a breakdown and gets comforted and held like that is my favorite trope and I think it shows sometimes, sue me I like comfort.

My guilty pleasures are Chatfics/social media aus because those are fun to just breeze through and you don't have to really worry too much about typos because you can fix them in the story as a character fixing their own typo and I know they're not everyone's cup of tea but they're just so fun for me to read personally.
