When she opens her eyes again again, Jinx has stood up from her mattress, knees on either side of Vi and they’re on eye level like that. Her hands are slipping up her neck, folding over her ears and she’s got her fingers in Vi’s hair, nails on her scalp and it means so so many things and simultaneously nothing at all.

“Your roots are showing.”

Vi’s lungs stutter, and she coughs out a “huh?” before the words make sense. Her mind’s half on Powder still, and maybe that’s the mistake she’s making here. She’s still running after a little kid that’s not here anymore, while Jinx is right there, in her— their apartment, looking the most alive since she got here, and she’s offering something Vi doesn’t really have it in her to refuse.

Imma be honest, I’m not typically much of a taboo ship person BUT I really respect and enjoy what you’ve done with Hook Line Sinker(especially as someone who wishes they were the younger sister with a cool older sister). That being actually treating a taboo relationship as that and not just some Colleen Hoover-ass “oh no step bro what will we do” type stuff-

Making them struggle with these confusing feeling, how it affects them hanging out with others and in public, how it affects them being around other family and so on- It makes for a VERY engaging drama filled read and I can’t wait to see more!
