The original Gravity Falls pitches and pilot just dropped!!
(Link for those who want it)
For those who don't wanna look through all of it, here are some highlights I found!
Interesting changes from the pitch (What Alex Hirsch showed Disney to make them greenlight the show):
Stan’s secret was that he’s secretly protecting the townsfolk from weirdness, nothing to do with Ford. No mention of Ford in the pitch at all. Stan also wanted Dipper and Mabel to be his successors in this version.
Mabel used to be the unhygienic one instead of Dipper.
Wendy was brunette and didn’t work as the Mystery Shack cashier, instead selling veggie juice out of her van.
As such, Soos (Jesús in this version) worked the register in addition to his handyman job in this version. He was a bit less of a hard worker here, watching telenovelas on the job sometimes, but still loves his job and is extremely loyal to Stan.
Robbie was almost exactly the same, parents’ backstory and all, but there’s an interesting note that he occasionally clashed with Gideon in this version (which we never got in the final show)
Speaking of which, Gideon’s last name in this version was Garrymore instead of Gleeful.
Gideon used to personally harass and prank Stan, going out of his way to vandalize Stan’s stuff himself.
Manly Dan was always planned to be Wendy’s dad. In this version, he hates the idea that his hipster daughter prefers conserving the environment instead of chopping down forests
(For those who wanted more Wendy episodes, I’m surprised Hirsch didn’t use this as a conflict for one of them- it makes her interesting without costing any of her “coolness”)
Sheriff Blubs was originally Sheriff “Blumps”. Durland has the same name likely because Hirsch said he’s named after a real guy.
With no Ford and no Journal mentioned, episodes were originally very different-
“The President’s Cabinet/Irrational Treasure.” Instead of via the journal, Dipper and Mabel find a record of Quentin Trembley in a box buried in the yard. No Pacifica mentioned here.
“Secret Dungeon” Dipper becomes obsessed with a recalled arcade cabinet. Mabel must try and save him by finding the original high scorer.
“Thtupid Thursday” One of the many ‘Shining Twins’ episode concepts Hirsch wanted to do. Dipper and Mabel learn ‘twin telepathy’ from some creepy twins, and soon regret it.
“Periodic Mabel” Mabel invents her own element for the science fair and Dipper is jealous.
“Only the Clonely/Boyz Crazy” The exact same episode just without Candy and Grenda. Sev’ral Timez is called “ReelBoyzzz” in this version.
“Big Dipper” With surprisingly no tie to Little Dipper, Dipper asks a fortune teller to make him older so he can win Wendy over. But she makes him 22, so he and Mabel have to undo the spell.
“Sweater off Dead” Mabel buys an antique sweater and is possessed by the soul of the granny who last wore it. Stan is terrified by the spirit because she reminds him of his ex-wife Marilyn (Deep Edalyn Clawthorne lore???) so Dipper must “Swexorcize” his sister and save her.
“Teed Off/The Golf War” With no Pacifica, this was originally a Dipper vs Gideon episode- No Lilliputtians, either. Instead, the 13th hole is cursed and traps the cast in a time loop.
Now, changes from the Production Pitch (I’m guessing for when the show was already greenlit and this was a way to brief crew members on what the show would 100% be about)
Stan’s secret (likely the portal) and the journal are now set in stone.
Emphasis on continuity and character development. Nothing gets “reset” by next episode. All plot developments are permanent.
All character names and designs are locked in. Pacifica has now been added, as well as Waddles, Gompers, Lazy Susan, Candy and Grenda, and McGucket (No mention or hint at his past here)
Interesting to note is that there is still zero outright mention of Ford and Bill in this version, even though multiple episodes were seemingly in production at this point.
Manly Dan’s conflict with Wendy from the original pitch is still here. Making it even more mindblowing that we never got it in the show
Blubs and Durland are described as a little more playful instead of mean like in the original pitch.
All episode examples made it into the show with no changes this time. They are Tourist Trapped, Legend of the Gobblewonker, Fight Fighters, Boyz Crazy, and The Land Before Swine.

f1 masterlist
Max
It's Father's Day, and you're determined to make it special for Max. The morning sun is just beginning to peek through the curtains as you gently wake up your little one, Oliver. You both tiptoe down the hall to the kitchen, where you've prepared a simple but heartfelt breakfast: Max's favorite pancakes, fresh fruit, and a steaming cup of coffee.
Oliver insists on carrying the tray, wobbling slightly but managing to keep everything balanced. You lead the way, quietly pushing open the bedroom door. Max is still asleep, a peaceful expression on his face. Oliver climbs onto the bed, and you can't help but smile as he places a messy kiss on Max's cheek.
"Daddy, wake up! Happy Father's Day!" Oliver's excitement is infectious, and Max stirs, a smile spreading across his face as he opens his eyes.
"Good morning, my babies," Max says, pulling Oliver into a hug and then reaching for you. "This is the best way to wake up."
After breakfast, you all head to the living room, where Oliver presents Max with a hand-painted picture. It's a portrait of your family, with a rainbow in the background and everyone holding hands. Max's eyes mist over as he looks at the painting, his heart swelling with love and pride.
"This is amazing, Oliver. Thank you so much," he says, kissing the top of his son's head. "And thank you, love, for making today so special."
The rest of the day is filled with laughter and joy. You all head to the park, where Max and Oliver play soccer while you watch, capturing every moment on your phone. In the afternoon, you return home for a barbecue, with Oliver helping to flip burgers and Max manning the grill.
As the sun sets, you all snuggle up on the couch to watch Max's favorite movie. Oliver falls asleep in Max's arms, and you rest your head on Max's shoulder, feeling content and happy.
"I couldn't have asked for a better Father's Day," Max whispers, kissing your forehead. "I love you both so much."
Lewis
Father's Day morning comes gently, the sun's rays filtering through the curtains as you and your daughter, Amara, lie in bed, savoring the rare opportunity to sleep in. Last night had been a marathon movie night, with the three of you snuggled on the couch, laughing and enjoying each other's company until the wee hours. As the morning progresses, you and Amara tiptoe out of the bedroom, leaving Lewis to catch a few more minutes of sleep.
In the kitchen, you and Amara prepare a light and easy vegan lunch. The menu includes a vibrant quinoa salad with roasted vegetables, a fresh avocado and tomato sandwich, and a chilled fruit smoothie. Amara is excited, and you guide her hands as she slices veggies and blends the smoothie.
As the meal comes together, you set a tray with the food and a small vase holding a single flower that Amara picked from the garden. Together, you quietly walk back to the bedroom, the tray balanced carefully in your hands. Amara climbs onto the bed first, gently shaking Lewis's shoulder.
"Daddy, wake up! We've got a surprise for you!" she says, her voice filled with excitement.
Lewis stirs, opening his eyes to see Amara’s bright smile and your loving gaze. He sits up, rubbing his eyes, and grins as he sees the tray.
"Good morning, my beautiful girls," he says, pulling Amara into a hug and giving you a warm kiss. "This is an amazing way to wake up."
After savoring the delicious lunch, you and Amara present Lewis with his special gift. Amara hands him a small, wrapped box, her eyes sparkling with anticipation. Lewis opens it to find a handcrafted bracelet, ring, and necklace, each piece intricately designed with tiny charms and beads that the two of you had spent weeks working on together.
"Wow, Amara, these are incredible," Lewis says, his voice filled with emotion. "Thank you so much, sweetheart. And thank you, love, for helping her. These are truly special."
Amara beams with pride as Lewis puts on the bracelet and necklace, sliding the ring onto his finger. The rest of the day is spent in relaxed joy. You all lounge around the house, playing board games and sharing stories. In the afternoon, you take a walk in the park, where Lewis and Amara race each other along the path, their laughter echoing through the trees.
As evening falls, you all return home and cuddle up on the couch once more, this time to watch the sunset through the living room window. Amara eventually falls asleep in Lewis's arms, and you rest your head on his shoulder, feeling a deep sense of contentment.
"This has been the perfect Father's Day," Lewis whispers, kissing your forehead. "I love you both so much. Thank you for making today unforgettable."
Charles
Father's Day morning begins with the sun gently illuminating your bedroom. You and your son, Lucas, had stayed up late the night before, giggling and making final preparations for Charles's special day. After catching a bit of extra sleep, you both decide to let Charles rest while you head to the kitchen to prepare his favorite breakfast: croissants, fresh fruit, and a strong espresso.
Lucas, eager to help, assists in arranging the food on a tray. You add a small vase with a single rose, a simple yet thoughtful touch. Together, you carry the tray to the bedroom, where Charles is still in a peaceful slumber. Lucas carefully climbs onto the bed, placing a soft kiss on his father's cheek.
"Happy Father's Day, Papa!" Lucas exclaims, his voice filled with excitement.
Charles stirs, opening his eyes to see Lucas's beaming face and your loving smile. He sits up, reaching out to pull Lucas into a warm hug and giving you a tender kiss.
"Good morning, my loves," Charles says, his eyes sparkling with happiness. "This is the best way to wake up."
After enjoying the delicious breakfast, Lucas announces that he has another surprise for Charles. He dashes out of the room and returns with a beautifully wrapped gift. Charles's curiosity is piqued as he carefully unwraps the present.
Inside, he finds a custom-made photo album. Each page is filled with pictures of the most cherished moments you've shared as a family: vacations, birthdays, holidays, and candid snapshots of everyday life. Lucas had painstakingly decorated the pages with stickers, drawings, and little notes, each one a testament to his love and creativity.
Charles's eyes well up with tears as he flips through the pages, reliving the memories. "Lucas, this is amazing. Thank you so much, my little artist. And thank you, love, for helping him put this together. It's perfect."
Lucas beams with pride, and you wrap your arms around both of them, feeling a wave of love and happiness. The rest of the day is filled with joyful activities. You take a family trip to the zoo, where Charles and Lucas marvel at the animals and share ice cream cones. In the afternoon, you return home for a barbecue, with Lucas eagerly helping to flip the burgers while Charles mans the grill.
As the sun sets, you all snuggle up on the couch to watch Charles's favorite movie. Lucas falls asleep in Charles's arms, and you rest your head on Charles's shoulder, feeling content and happy.
"I couldn't have asked for a better Father's Day," Charles whispers, kissing your forehead. "I love you both so much."
Carlos
It's Father's Day, and you and your daughter, Sofia, have been planning a special surprise for Carlos for weeks. The morning starts with you both sneaking into the kitchen to prepare Carlos's favorite Spanish breakfast: churros with hot chocolate.
Sofia climbs onto the bed and places a kiss on Carlos's cheek. "Happy Father's Day, Papa!" she exclaims, her excitement waking Carlos with a start. He blinks a few times before his eyes focus on the two of you.
"Good morning, mi princesa," he says, pulling Sofia into a hug and reaching out to you. "This is the best surprise."
Sofia announces she has another surprise for her papa. Sofia dashes out of the room, returning with a large, colorfully wrapped box. Carlos, his curiosity piqued, smiles as he accepts the gift from his beaming daughter.
"Open it, Papa! I made it just for you!" Sofia exclaims, practically bouncing with excitement.
Carlos carefully unwraps the gift, revealing a beautifully handcrafted model of his race car. The model is made from wood, meticulously painted in his team's colors, with fine details that capture the essence of his real car. Sofia had spent weeks working on it, sanding and painting each piece with your help.
Carlos’s eyes widen in amazement as he examines the intricate model. "Sofia, this is incredible! You made this all by yourself?"
Sofia nods eagerly. "Well, Mommy helped a little, but I did most of it. Do you like it?"
"I love it," Carlos says, his voice filled with emotion. He pulls Sofia into a tight hug. "This is one of the best gifts I've ever received. Thank you, my little artist."
The rest of the day is spent in high spirits. You all head out to the park for a fun-filled day of activities. Carlos and Sofia race their remote-controlled cars, laughing and cheering as they navigate through makeshift tracks. Later, you enjoy a picnic under the shade of a large oak tree, savoring the simple pleasures of being together.
You rest your head on Carlos's shoulder, feeling a deep sense of contentment. Carlos looks at you with love and gratitude in his eyes.
"This has been the perfect Father's Day," he whispers, kissing your forehead. "Thank you for making it so special. I love you both so much."
Lando
Father's Day morning starts with you and your son, Theo, preparing a fun and easy breakfast for Lando: banana pancakes with maple syrup and a side of fresh berries. After breakfast in bed, Theo excitedly announces he has a special surprise for Lando.
Theo runs out of the room and returns with a small, neatly wrapped box. Lando's eyes light up as he takes the gift from Theo's eager hands.
"Daddy, open it! I made it just for you! But mommy help me as well!!" Theo exclaims, his excitement palpable.
Lando carefully unwraps the gift to reveal a handmade keychain. The keychain is crafted from colorful beads and charms, spelling out "Best Dad" along with tiny race car and helmet charms. Theo had put his heart into making it, with your help guiding his little hands.
"This is awesome, Theo! I love it," Lando says, his voice full of warmth. He pulls Theo into a hug. "Thank you, buddy. I'll keep this with me always."
The rest of the day is filled with activities at Lando's favorite amusement park, where he and Theo ride all the roller coasters and enjoy the day to its fullest. Back home, you all enjoy a cozy movie night, snuggled up together, cherishing every moment.
Oscar
Father's Day morning begins with you and your daughter, Ava, preparing a simple but delicious brunch for Oscar: an egg omelette with spinach bell peppers onions and bacon with waffles and some turkey sandwiches cut into half’s with a fresh fruit smoothie. After the brunch, Ava eagerly announces her special surprise for her daddy.
Ava rushes out of the room and returns with a beautifully decorated scrapbook. Oscar's curiosity is piqued as he accepts the gift from his daughter’s proud hands.
"Daddy, we made this for you!" Ava says, her eyes sparkling.
Oscar opens the scrapbook to find it filled with drawings, photos, and little notes. Each page captures special moments they've shared: trips to the beach, family game nights, and candid snapshots of daily life. Ava had worked tirelessly on it, with your help organizing the pages.
"This is amazing, Ava. I love it," Oscar says, his voice filled with emotion. He pulls Ava into a hug. "Thank you so much, sweetheart. This is a treasure."
The day continues with a visit to a botanical garden, where Oscar and Ava explore the vibrant plants and flowers and even go into the butterfly garden. After that you guys go to a nice restaurant for dinner and go home ending the day with a lots of cuddles.
Sebastian
Father's Day starts with you and your son, Max, preparing a nice breakfast for him: honey and cinnamon pancakes with eggs, turkey bacon and fresh fruit. After enjoying the meal in together, Max reveals his special surprise for his papa.
Max runs to his room and returns with a large, carefully wrapped package. Seb's eyes twinkle with anticipation as he accepts the gift from Max’s excited hands.
"Papa, open it! I made it for you!" Max exclaims, his excitement evident.
Sebastian unwraps the package to reveal a handmade birdhouse. The birdhouse is painted in bright colors and adorned with tiny flowers and leaves. Max had spent countless afternoons working on it, with your guidance and support.
"This is wonderful, Max! I love it," Sebastian says, his voice brimming with pride. He pulls Max into a warm hug. "Thank you, my little craftsman. We'll put this in the garden together."
The rest of the day is spent outdoors, visiting a local farm and feeding the animals. Back home, they set up the birdhouse in the garden, watching for birds to come. The day concludes with a cozy evening watching The Incredibles 2, Max falling asleep in Seb's arms.
Jenson Button
Father's Day morning begins with the sun shining through the curtains and the soft sound of paws padding around the house. You and your two kids, Lily and Jake, are up early, ready to surprise Jenson with a day filled with love, laughter, and a few surprises from the whole family, including the dogs.
First, you all head to the kitchen to prepare a hearty English breakfast: baked beans, toast, and a selection of fresh fruits. The dogs, Storm, Rogue and Bentley, are excitedly wagging their tails, sensing the fun to come. You prepare a special dog-friendly treat for them to deliver to Jenson as well.
Once breakfast is ready, you and the kids carry the trays up to the bedroom, with Storm, Rogue and Bentley following closely, each with a small, wrapped gift tied to their collars. Lily and Jake eagerly climb onto the bed, placing kisses on Jenson's cheeks to wake him up.
"Happy Father's Day, Daddy!" they exclaim in unison.
Jenson groggily opens his eyes, a smile spreading across his face as he sees his excited kids and the delicious breakfast laid out before him. "Good morning, my little loves. This is the best wake-up call."
As he sits up, Storm, Rogue and Bentley jump onto the bed, tails wagging furiously. Jenson laughs as he notices the gifts tied to their collars.
"Looks like even the dogs have something for you, Daddy!" Jake says, grinning.
Jenson unties the first gift from Storm collar. Inside, he finds a personalized mug with "World's Best Dad" written on it and a picture of Jenson with Storm, Rogue and Bentley. "This is fantastic! Thank you, Storm," he says, patting the dog's head.
Next, he opens the gift from Rogue collar. It's a new set of golf balls with "Best Dad" engraved on each one. "Wow, Rogue, you know me so well," Jenson laughs, scratching Rogue behind the ears.
Jenson unties a gift from Bentley's collar. Inside, he finds sunglasses with "JB" engraved on it. Jenson smiles and gives Bentley a big hug. "Thank you, Bentley. This is so nice."
"Now for our gifts!" Lily says, handing Jenson a brightly wrapped package. Inside, Jenson finds a handmade photo frame decorated with seashells, featuring a picture of the whole family from their last beach vacation.
"This is beautiful, Lily. Thank you so much," Jenson says, giving her a big hug.
Jake hands over his gift next, a Lego set to build The Millennium Falcon. "We can build it together, Dad!" Jake says, his eyes shining with excitement.
"Awesome, Jake. I can't wait to get started on this," Jenson says, pulling Jake into a hug.
The rest of the day is filled with fun and adventure. You all head to the nearby park with the dogs, where Jenson and the kids play catch, run around, and even try their hands at flying a kite. Roscoe and Coco have the time of their lives chasing after the frisbee and each other.
In the afternoon, you return home to make a special dinner together. You gather in the kitchen, setting up a pizza-making station with various ingredients. Each of you gets a dough base to create your own unique pizza.
Lily goes for a classic margherita with lots of cheese, Jake opts for a pepperoni and olive combo, Jenson decides on a prosciutto and arugula pizza, and you make a buffalo chicken masterpiece. Storm, Rogue and Bentley are given their own special dog-friendly pizzas, which they eagerly gobble up.
As the pizzas bake, the kitchen fills with delicious aromas. You all sit around the table, enjoying your creations and sharing stories. The evening is filled with laughter, as you recount the day's adventures and enjoy the warmth of being together as a family.
After dinner, you all snuggle up on the couch with the dogs, watching one of Jenson's favorite movies. Lily and Jake eventually fall asleep, and Roscoe and Coco curl up at their feet. You lean against Jenson, feeling content and happy.
"This has been the perfect Father's Day," Jenson whispers, kissing your forehead. "I love you all so much. Thank you for making today unforgettable."
Daniel
Father's Day morning begins with a mischievous plan you and your son, Jack, concoct to wake Daniel up in a way he'll never forget. The two of you tiptoe around the house, preparing for the grand surprise. You and Jack decide that a good old-fashioned prank will be the perfect way to start the day.
You both set up downstairs, positioning yourselves in the kitchen with a delicious vegan lunch waiting to be served. On the count of three, you and Jack begin to scream and shout, creating a cacophony of pretend chaos.
"Dad! Help! There's a huge mess!" you yell, adding to the commotion.
From upstairs, you hear the sound of Daniel springing out of bed and rushing down the stairs. He bursts into the kitchen, his hair tousled and eyes wide with concern.
"What's going on? Is everyone okay?" Daniel exclaims, looking around frantically.
You and Jack burst into laughter, unable to keep up the act any longer. Daniel's confusion quickly turns to a smile as he realizes he's been pranked.
"Happy Father's Day!" you both shout, grinning widely.
Daniel shakes his head, chuckling. "You got me good! Whose idea was this?"
You and Jack exchange glances and remain silent, trying to stifle your laughter. Daniel raises an eyebrow, a playful glint in his eyes.
"Oh, so you're not going to tell me, huh?" he says, moving towards you both with a mischievous grin. "Well, I guess I'll have to get the truth out another way."
With that, Daniel starts chasing you around the house. Jack squeals and runs, but Daniel quickly catches him, lifting him up and starting to tickle him mercilessly.
"No, Mom! Save me from the tickle monster!" Jack cries out between fits of laughter.
You stand back, laughing as you watch the two of them. Daniel’s infectious laughter fills the room as Jack squirms and giggles uncontrollably.
"Alright, alright! I surrender!" Jack finally manages to say, still giggling as Daniel relents.
As things settle down, you guide Daniel to the dining table where the surprise lunch is laid out: a colorful spread of avocado toast, quinoa salad, and fresh fruit smoothies.
"Happy Father's Day, love," you say, kissing Daniel on the cheek. "We thought you deserved a fun wake-up call."
Daniel smiles, wrapping an arm around you and pulling you in for a hug. "You two are the best. This is perfect."
The rest of the day is filled with laughter and love. You spend the afternoon playing games in the garden, enjoying the beautiful weather and each other's company. In the evening, you all snuggle up on the couch for a cozy movie night, feeling grateful for the special moments shared together.

i fucking LOVE the way you draw/write jesse, as someone with a chubby/buff build i kind of struggle with insecurities about my size but the way you draw him makes me feel very good. idk im describing it badly but i wanted to ask if your design for him is more chubby or muscly?
Dude thank you 🥺🩵 You described it very well.
It really depends on which time frame I'm drawing Jesse in actually.
In the beginning, I imagine Jesse is quite scrawny. I mean did you see his work out routine in the beginning? He was was doing sit ups and punching flowers. He was definitely lacking muscle (but had enough to be able to lift Reuben up and down that ladder) and as the first couple episodes progress, he stays scrawny but progressively becomes more scarred up until the Portal Hallway episodes.
The Portal Hallway episodes, it takes place many months after the events of the Witherstorm. Jesse and his friends are going on many more adventures, really honing their skills that they acquired over the past few months. Jesse is much more built now. He's buff and tough with the true heart of a hero. Although, once he and his friends get stuck in the Portal Hall, that's when things take a really devastating turn for him. Feeling hopeless and lost for weeks on end, he begins to feel withdrawn from the positivity he was feeling before he ended up stuck here. Traumatic events keep occuring, and with these events, Jesse is of course drawn to remember and replay the events of Reuben's death in his head. He keeps the most of these feelings to himself because his group is already feeling so disheartened about their current situation that the last thing he'd want for them is to know that he's breaking emotionally, so he ends up taking less care of himself. He starts eating with the idea that he has to stay strong for his friends, but even those moments are rare. Food is scarce depending on what portal they are in, so when he finds food, he'll take anything that will keep his energy and strengths up.
By the end of it all, he's actually put on a significant amount of muscle. But it's kind of like a 'at what cost?' scenario.
Things get a bit better for him between then and Season 2 where he's eating better again and keeping all that muscle, but once Season 2 comes and goes, and with everything that happens in the Sunshine Institute and the Underneath, he loses a lot of weight.
It's only after Season 2, where he stays in BeaconTown and eventually finds a love life with Lukas when he really begins putting on weight once again. He's done with hero work. He's done with going on crazy life threatening adventures. Now he just wants to live life for himself rather than putting others first. Lukas helps him a lot through this, with body positivity and lots of love and affectionate touch, it's all the reassurance Jesse has ever needed to feel okay with being himself again. So he ends up putting on that happy weight that couples typically adopt over time when they're in a healthy relationship. Lukas treats him so, so unbelievably well. Finally Jesse gets to eat food for himself without the idea of needing to keep himself strong and powerful once he's finally retired. He indulges himself in his sweet tooth and loves to eat cookies, cakes, and other baked goods that Lukas will bake or bring home. He also really enjoys the fact that he doesn't have to eat alone anymore. He loves sitting at the table and enjoying a meal with his hubby. And the best part, which is something Jesse was horribly self conscious about, is that Lukas loves and adores his pudge. He is so supportive of Jesse's eating habits, but he doesn't hesitate to sneak veggies and fruits into Jesse's lunch box for work.
So yeah uh Jesse is chubby, buff and loved at the end of it all 😍
Here's some lil doodles of him I have lying around. The first one is pretty old and could probably use a touch up since now I don't see much of a difference, but you get the point ☠️

Hi! I love how much fluff is in your fics 💜 So comforting
Can I request Eddie and reader having Halloween date at home?
A lot of cuddles, pizza, classic horror movies and themed food? 🥺
Have a nice day!
Hi! Thank you so much for the request, I hope this fulfils what you were hoping for 🤍
Spooky Date Night
Eddie Munson X Reader
Summary : Eddie plans a date for him and his girlfriend.
Word Count : 1.5k
Warnings : Pure fluff, mentions of horror movies, swearing, knives (pumpkin carving), use of Y/N, pet names, not proofread.
~ / / / * \ \ \ ~
You couldn’t wait, Eddie had invited you over to the trailer for a date. One that he had not let you know anything about whatsoever. All he said was dress comfy, pack an overnight bag and come over at 6:30.
All of those things were done, dressed in some sweatpants and a long sleeve tee with a jumper and jacket over top, you tried to hide from the chilly October air.
Pulling up to the trailer and parking next to Eddies van. Grabbing your bag from the seat beside you you climbed out and knocked on his door.
You heard his voice, “Coming!” Soon enough the door was pulled open and there stood Eddie Munson, a grin on his face. “Hey Angel! Come on in.”
You did so, sliding off your beat up shoes and leaving them next to Eddies favourites. Looking up the trailer looked a lot different to how it normally did.
There were fake cobwebs everywhere, candles lit, the room was dark but cosy. There were pumpkins on the counter, pizza and Halloween candy on the table. A high pile of videos to watch.
“What do you think?” He asked, stepping from one foot to the other nervously. “It looks great! You did all this?” You asked him. He nodded, “Yeah thought we could have a spooky night, as we’re going to that party on Halloween night.”
“You’re something else Munson, just the sweetest guy,” you smiled, wrapping your arms around his neck and kissing him. “I’m glad you like it. Why don’t you go put your stuff in our room I’ll get us some drinks and plates for food.”
You nodded and went to drop your bag off in his room, you did have spare clothes at Eddies, even then you borrowed his. It was very likely that by the end of the night you’d end up in the worn Black Sabbath shirt he was wearing currently.
You went back to join him on his couch, as he put a couple slices of pizza on your plate.
“It’s so cozy in here, should convince Wayne to keep it like this.”
“It was hard enough to convince him to let me do this,” you both laughed at that.
“So what movies have we got?”
“I got a selection, classics, Halloween, Jaws, Nightmare on Elmstreet and The Shining. Some less scary ones cause I want you to get some sleep, so Rocky Horror.”
You hummed, there were a couple more in the pile too, you assumed that’s why he asked you over so early. “Got us some pumpkins to carve too, cause you know, best part of Halloween.”
You could only smile at him, he thought of all of this. You both loved Halloween, that was one of the things you bonded over when you first met. People freaking out over Christmas when you were already waiting for the Spooky Season to roll back around.
So the pair of you tucked into your pizza, chatting away and giggling ready to start your spooky evening.
~ / / / * \ \ \ ~
After you’d cleared up your plates and Pizza boxes, Eddie and you grabbed some knives, pens and a big bowl for your pumpkin carving. Rolling up your sleeves, you pulled the orange veggie towards you.
“Damn getting serious babe,” Eddie laughed. “You know it, want me to tie your hair back?” You asked him, he nodded, and held out his wrist. A hair tie sat there, it was for either you or him, depending on the situation.
Pulling his curls out of his face, you tied them in a low pony that sat at the base of his neck. Kissing the top of his head you sat back next to him. “Thanks Angel.”
Picking up a pen you began to draw your design on your pumpkin. Planning on doing a some what traditional one, triangle eyes and nose and a toothy grin.
You could tell Eddie was going the opposite route, assuming something with a fearsome face, that could potentially scare trick or treaters away.
Once you were both happy with your designs, you picked up your knives and began to cut off the top. Making lid for the little guys, pulling it off you smiled, proud of how even it was.
“Nice work babe,” Eddie smiled, soon pulling his own off. “Thanks, you too.” Placing it down you stood up. “Where you off too?” He asked. “To get spoons, we forgot them.”
“We don’t need spoons!” Eddie said before shoving his hand in the pumpkin. It came out covered in seeds and stringy insides. “Gross pumpkin guts!” You exclaimed.
“Dare you to try some.”
“No way!”
“Why not? It’s just pumpkin.”
“It’s grim Eds, look at it!” He grinned at you. “Don’t you dare.” You took a step back and Eddie stood up.
“Stay away!” He lunged for you and you squealed, running through the kitchen, the boy cackling as he chased you. “Edward Munson go away!”
You could feel him behind you, grabbing your waist and pulling you to him, you screamed. He rubbed his sticky hand on your face slightly.
“Get off!” You shouted. He laughed again, dropping his head to your shoulder, his body shaking with laughter. “You’re a terrible boyfriend, did you know that?” You asked, turning to face him.
He couldn’t help out laugh, that was until you got your hand and wiped some of the pumpkin off your face and onto his lips. He spluttered, “Ew gross!” He exclaimed, wiping his mouth.
~ / / / * \ \ \ ~
Your jack o lanterns now sat on the side with candles in. “Can’t believe I knocked his tooth out, he’s all gappy now!” You whined, dropping your head on to Eddie.
“I think he’s cute Angel. We got a cute one and a scary one, it’s like me and you.”
“You calling me gappy Edward Munson?”
“Who said you’re the cute one?” He cocked a brow.
You went to retaliate but he pecked your lips, “Pick a movie, I’m going to the bathroom.” He stood from the couch and walked away.
Looking through them, you decided that Halloween was the best one to start with.
~ / / / * \ \ \ ~
It was almost 12pm and you were now watching Nightmare on Elmstreet, pushing yourself closer to Eddie. “You okay?” He asked.
“Mhm, he’s just creepy,” you said. The boy wrapped his arms around you, letting you rest your head on his chest and his own on top of yours. He pressed a kiss to you and smiled.
Freddie Kruger popped up on screen making you jump and hide your face in Eddies chest, squealing as you did so. “Oh sweet girl it’s okay,” he spoke softly, rubbing your arm.
“Want me to turn it off?” You shook you head, no. “Okay but after this, Rocky Horror okay?”
“‘Mkay.” Pecking the top of your head once more, you moved your eyes to the screen once more.
~ / / / * \ \ \ ~
You were about half way through Rocky Horror when your eyes grew heavy. It was nearing 1am, and you hadn’t moved from your position, snuggled in Eddies chest.
Relaxing fully, you let your eyes fall close, comfy and calm. No fear of Freddie Kruger or Michael Myers or even a giant Shark coming to get you.
Soon enough you were asleep in Eddies arms. Huffing a laugh, he gave you a light squeeze, allowing himself to relax too.
He was nervous this date wouldn’t be something you liked, he just wanted to make you happy. He knew he’d done that, from your laughter, to the play fighting to now, you snoozing in his arms softly.
Eddies became drowsy himself, he’d been up early to clean and decorate the trailer to make everything perfect for you. He didn’t mind, he’d do anything for you.
The boy soon followed your actions and drifted off himself, the sound of Tim Curry’s voice lulling you both.
~ / / / * \ \ \ ~
A firm hand shook Eddies shoulder, making him jump awake. He met the eyes of his uncle Wayne. “Oh hey,” he said voice thick with sleep.
“Hey, sorry to wake you, but you’re in my bed,” he motioned to the couch.
“Shit sorry Wayne.” Eddie slowly slid you off him, resting you softly on the cushions.
Back cracking lightly as he stretched, he reached down for you, pulling your sleeping figure into his arms. “We’ll get out of your way, and I’ll clean up in the morning.”
“It’s 5am it’s morning. Just keep it down okay, it’s been a long shift.”
“Sure, do you need anything?” The boy asked his uncle.
“Just some sleep, you get yourself and Y/N to bed Son. So get outta my room.”
“Night Wayne.” He grunted back at Eddie, turning off the TV, that had a static screen, and grabbed his blanket from the back.
Eddie held you close to his chest as he wandered to the bedroom, keeping you as comfy as he could. Laying you down gently, you whined lightly.
“It’s okay Sweet Girl go back to sleep, ,” he hushed, stroking your hair. Laying down next to you, he pulled the blanket over both of your figures.
Soon enough the room was full of your snores, reaching for one another even in your sleepy state. It had been a great night.

Allow me, for a moment, to have a little bit of emotion
I remember, 8 years ago, when I set up my first "bird room". I remember being so excited. I had seen pictures of other people's rooms (which were mostly cages and hanging boings at the time) and felt like I needed to be doing more, I wanted that so badly. I wasn't allowed to do anything permanent to the room and it was absolute hell to even get permission to make anything resembling a bird room. I had so many restrictions to stick by and god forbid a single fleck of bird poop be found somewhere.
The first room was just their cages, which were the species' minimum size, and a stand I made out of wood dowels and PVC elbows. My first "veggie zone" was a cardboard box and a pillow case. To keep the mess contained I had pinned up a fitted sheet, if they made a mess I couldn't rapidly clean the room would be taken away from me and they would be back to just small cages and a single countertop play set.
it wasn't cute but I was so happy with what I had accomplished given the restrictions I had and severe lack of finances. I was always upset with the way that it looked, it wasn't aesthetic, it didn't photograph well. The birds loved it and it was the start of my "bird room". I knew I wasn't done here.
Eventually I had sorted out how I could hang up some ropes without damaging the walls, given some of them were pretty sketchy and I would absolutely not recommend doing it. The one up there is literally hanging on by a pear hook to the light fixture. The rest were desperately tied around furniture and one to the blinds if I recall correctly. Oh man was I stoked, Mia and Zeeb were too. They got a cage upgrade for Christmas one year when I'd finally saved enough to do it, it was taller than I was, I could curl up inside one of the cages. It was Wild.
I remember being on Tumblr back then and I remember you all sending me messages, offering ideas, and being so invested in the making of the room. I was always blogging from that chair in the corner, it did give me serious back pain but it did the job. You were all so supportive and I refreshed my inbox 1000 times a day waiting for the next message, being a part of the community was such a big part of who I was. I still do that.
I also remember holding a lot of anger, I knew my room wasn't what I wanted it to be but there was nothing I could do to make it how I wanted. I didn't have any control over that. I also had a lot of doubt. There were some toys and things I made that weren't very pretty and even some made out of not-ideal materials (nothing toxic, think controversial like cotton rope) but at the time it's all I could provide. It was the best that I could do. Still made me anxious though, was it enough? was it right?
and I sit here in what will soon be my designated office looking over at Bird Room V2 and I just can't fathom how we got here.
I've made a bird room even larger and better than teenage me could have ever even imagined. I have drilled holes in to walls and ceilings without a thought, I chopped branches off of trees and I've used power tools to turn those trees in to safe perches. I wall mounted a cage simply because I wanted to, my veggie corner is made of plastic that I designed and assembled, there's a splash-proof bathing zone complete with a fountain, and so so so many toys that I've collected over the years. (that ladder right in the middle, to the right of the yellow toy is the exact same one as the images above). I was able to make it look pretty good too!
I suspended a huge tree branch from my ceiling purely because I thought the birds would like it and their foot health would benefit. I have been able to prioritize their health over all else, I have been able to act and make changes to better their care every step of the way, always improving, always changing, always thinking of them first and foremost. With the additional support of my wife who often comes up with new ideas to improve things before I do. Starting this room was her idea first!
and I am so happy with where we are. I am so happy with the care that I am currently providing. We've gone from being alone in a bedroom desperately scrounging things together while dodging the scrutiny of the people who surrounded me to not only accomplishing our dreams with love and support from our new family but inspiring others to do the same.
and that's incredible.
and I'm so happy that you were here with me along the way.
#bird room#flock talks#let it be known that I recognize a lot of your usernames#even if you’ve been quietly liking in the background#I see you#and I appreciate you

The guys are sitting around a large table that has a long grill through the middle, with a couple metal plates on some parts that act as griddles. The table seems to be on a rooftop somewhere, but the skyline is blocked by canvas sheets painted to look like a New York City Skyline.
The guys are all dressed in color coded shorts, their masks, and shirts with different graphics on them. Raph = an Aligator Snapping Turtle holding a barbell in its mouth wearing sweatbands, Donnie = Reboot Process Interrupted Current Mood: Murderous, Leo = a turtle covered ing glitter with a unicorn horn on its head, Mikey = I have a Psychology Degree and am Eager to Use It! (Threat).
They were having Yakiniku, with a few other things on the grills and griddles, chatting among eachother, and answering questions from the chat. On one end Mikey was experimenting with 'steam baking' a cake on the griddle.
Shelldon is flying around the area announcing the questions, while River is in stand-by/sleep mode on a box in the back charging. Shelldon is also acting as a speaker playing music as he floats around.
"So we had to send someone to grab some more ingredients, the poor new guy was so confused by the list, so I volunteered to go with him." Mikey says as he checks his experiment, "This guy apparently never went shopping in the marketplace before, and I swear he almost overpaid on ingredients, so many times. Senior Hueso gave us a budget, and I wanted to make sure we stuck to it."
Shelldon swerves around next to Donnie, "Hey Dad, TechnoTurtle, wants to know how you have so many 3D models in such a short amount of time. Got any answers Dude-Dad?"
Donnie was in the middle of eating so it took a minute for them to answer, "Well to be honest, I have planned to make numerous games with 3D models in the past, and then lost interest for various reasons. So I had all the Models saved on a spare memory bank." They pause to take a sip of their drink, "And before we get a question about the many outfits, I left some odd videogame clothes/costume data attached to the models so it's very easy to add new outfits. Think of our Models as videogame avatars instead of VTuber models. Also I don't know what programs others normally use for making VTuber models, Mandarin and I have been using a mix of my programs, and some free to use art programs."
Mikey is seen moving his cake experiment to a counter near the table to cool under a netted cube, "I may have made our original model concepts, and done some minor rigging for them, but once we discovered the mix of programming we use now, yeah definitely better for us. I may love doing art, but making models for VTubing was more complicated than I wanted to deal with." Mikey quickly grabs a few pieces of meat and veggies from the grill with tongs, "Heck, once I told everyone I designed our models, I had to emphasize on my commission page that I don't do models. But I have been making 2D, 2.5D model Assets, with a wide variety of skin tones, and even different species variants." Mikey says with some pride in his voice.
Leo was about to say something, but stopped to stare as Donnie starts to eat a sandwich, he made with grilled meats and veggies, whole. It wasn't an unusual sight for the guys, but it's been a while since he last saw Donnie do this. And that's not to mention the audience who are all very confused and concerned by this.
"I don't know why I'm surprised to see you eat like that Dee, but Wow. I forgot you could-" Leo paused for a sec, "That almost came out very wrong. And not in a way I would want to say."
Sadly some of the audience was able to pick up on the almost innuendo, thankfully they didn't mention it in chat, but they did make memes out of the clip.
Donnie looked at Leo with great offense after finishing his sandwich. "Annoyed Huff. Rude. Dear Brother, you can not fault me for my softshell instincts!" They say with a huff and crossed arms. Their tail seen whipping around behind them.
Raph just lets out a sigh with a shake of his head. "You two are always so chaotic with eachother. But you're my knucklehead brothers." He uses some custom chopsticks to flip the meat he put on the grill before eating it after a few seconds.
The stream goes on with more chatting, and eating, though after a bit of time they're joined by April, Cass, and CJ. With a note that their Dads are on vacation, to get away from some the guys chaotic antics recently.
The chaotic antics in question were not mentioned, much to the audiences great disappointment.
--------------------
Masterpost
This was at least partly my original idea for their 4th of July post, but I decided that the guys would rather just enjoy the festivities instead of streaming the entire time.
And yes Donnie is swallowing the sandwich whole. I just realized how wrong/weird it sounds to describe that hence the 'unspoken innuendo' line.

For asks to know you better! 1, 2, 9, 27
1. Chipotle order?
There's no Chipotle location where I live (the maritimes isn't really "with it" sadly. We only just got a Popeyes and a Sephora very recently). The closest Chipotle would be somewhere in Ontario, so about a 2 hour plane ride from where I am. The menu looks pretty good though, I'd try the chicken quesadilla with a side of red chili salsa!
2. Thoughts on veganism?
There's quite a few! Vegan food tastes pretty good if it's made by someone who knows how to cook or if it came from a good restaurant. Having friends or co-workers who are vegan can be a great way to encourage yourself to eat more veggies too if you struggle with it (I do). Lots of people turn to it because they don't like the thought of killing and eating animals, especially because there's a lot of workplace and animal welfare issues with factory farming. I get where they're coming from, but food solidarity is more productive in the grand scheme of things because in reality, veganism was only made possible relatively recently and in places where there's dependable/affordable food imports all year around (and there's issues with that too, farmers aren't treated very well, especially in the global south. Over worked, underpaid...). Canada is a pretty good example of this. If you go waaay way up north, fruits and veggies are insanely pricey, so what makes more sense? Buying a single box of strawberries for 25$ or hunting a seal or whale to feed tons of people for a good amount of time? My own family in remote Newfoundland lives by the ocean and about an hour away from the nearest grocery store, so it makes sense to catch your own seafood and have a moose for the family to last the winter.
The vegans I know in person are thankfully civil about it. They don't talk down on "carnists" (idk why vegans online use that as an insult sometimes because honestly it sounds both funny and cool at the same time), or insist on feeding vegan diets to cats. Thank goodness
So basically: food is food. Eat what makes the most sense for you and your family to eat and whatever that is, never stop practicing gratitude towards your farmers and butchers or family members who can hunt. We'd all be worse off without them
9. Do you have a skincare routine (and how many steps is it)?
It's very, VERY diligent. I used to have pretty bad acne and I was on accutane for about a year after university 6 years ago. It's great stuff, but it can be hard on your body. To this day, sunscreen is still the first thing I put on when I wake up (although skin cancer alone should be your reason to wear it everyday no matter what. Especially if you live somewhere where healthcare isn't timely or affordable). Right now I use these to keep breakouts at bay. My skin is the best it's been in years.
27. What’s your favorite or go-to outfit?
Right now, it's a bright pink and gold silk robe with a hood. I have good pictures of it from the designer here:
And here's me with it on!
The designer repurposed the fabric from an old wedding dress, and it makes me feel all rosy and happy everytime I wear it. As if I was made part of an old love story
Although you know what, a friend of mine did tell me once that it reminded her of Homestuck. I don't know how I feel about that ☠

Hug a Column
Similar to yesterday's Hug a Pig fig, this fig had me scratching my head when I saw it. I had no idea what it was supposed to be, or represent. But when I found out, I was entirely charmed!
For the inspiration for this fig, we're hopping into the wayback machine - all the way back to Gong Jun's college days!
At university, Gong Jun was in a performance of Molière's play The Miser. He played Harpagon, the titular miser. We have this little snippet of him performing in this role:
I'm assuming this is the part in the play where he digs up his moneybox to discover it has been stolen. That's a bad day indeed for a miser!
A fig maker was so delighted by this performance, they rendered it in fig form. And I'm so delighted they did!
The fig arrived, as all PVC figs do, in a sealed little pouch inside a box. Also inside the box is the column that the fig will be hugging.
There was nothing to it for assembly - I just threaded the thinner end of the column up through his arms from underneath.
As such. The base of the column actually forms another support for the fig, so it stands on it's own quite well. However, the column is fairly loosely held in his arms, so it moves around.
You can see how the fig's right hand is holding on to the column - that's the main point of contact and sort of what controls the column in his arms. My fig wanted to hold the column in a way that pulled it closer to him, which gives it a bit of a lean.
So, I stuck the fig on a fig stand, and you can see how it helped to keep it more vertical. I did not stick the column itself (and now I'm second guessing myself as I look at these pics).
Harpagon-Jun's shocked and distressed face is adorable! Never has a 70-year old money grubbing character looked so cute.
The column is going to look more or less totally vertical as the pics progress around the figure. Some of that is due to my ever-present camera wobble, but it's also true that the column isn't 100% vertical either. It looks pretty good from this angle!
The fig maker did a great job with the tattered smock and little slipper-shoes that Harpagon-Jun was wearing in the play. It's of course not very complex of a design, but it's rendered really cutely, with his rosy little legs and arms sticking out.
The video of Gong Jun is lower quality due to the age, so it's hard for me to tell too much detail of his hair, but I bet the fig maker did some heavy forensic scrutiny of the video. I am positive this is very close to what his hair looked like.
This is such an extra-charming fig now that I know the backstory. I really hesitated before buying it at the time, but now I'm super glad I got him!
Some creative and clever JZPs put a straw hat on him and swapped out the column for veggies. A big chili pepper! It's hilarious and also super cute. He can hold all kinds of stuff.
Ahahaha his little expression! I love him.
The fig maker did a great job of making this face look even younger than normal.
*************
Whoa! What are the Fig Spice Stars (tm) doing in the middle of a fig post about a college play fig?
No, there's exactly Zero (0) spiciness factor here, but I surprised myself a little when I reopened this pic, so in consideration of you maybe reading this on public transportation or something, the pic that follows is the VERY usual bottoms-up angle I take for all the figs nowadays.
BUT! The Miser is TOO cheap to even buy underwear. There's nothing to see, but it's got a bit of an up-smock feel to it.
Alright! That person shouldn't have been looking over your shoulder on public transportation anyway, they had that coming.
You can see how the circle of his arms actually doesn't have a ton of space - just enough real estate for the column, or a few flowers, or a chili pepper.
I took some liberties translating the name of this fig (because you know that's exactly what someone slowly and painfully working their way through Chinese HSK 1 in 15 minutes a day should do).
According to my translate app, 抱柱 傻俊 means "hold a column silly handsome". The handsome of course is Gong Jun's first name. 抱 is hold/ hug, and is the same character in Zhehan's Hug a Pig fig yesterday. There's the obvious symmetry about figs in the same release having similar names and concepts. The column part is self-explanatory. So that just leaves out silly! I couldn't think of a way to fit it into the fig name, so I just went with the symmetry. I like it!
Material: PVC (fig) and wood (column)
Fig Count: 378
Scene Count: 26 (I don't think this counts, even if it IS a scene from a play!)
Rating: Cuter than a box of gold!

Hang Out
Do not repost this post. This is my original work.
TW: dieting involving types of food.
Yesterday was a little bit more productive. You were able to unpack a lot of boxes for your kitchen, bathroom, and closet. There are a few boxes left but it can wait a little since you also had some work to do for both your job and art.
Saturday Morning
It’s 6:00 am and your alarm goes off. You wake up to the cool breeze coming into your room from the slightly cracked window you opened last night. You check your phone to see if anything happened but, it was uneventful. You lightly stretched before getting out of bed and opening up the curtains to let natural light into the room. It’s foggy which is your favorite because it’s heavenly but haunting at the same time. It’s calm and peaceful. You proceed to go into the kitchen to make yourself an iced decaf honey latte with soy milk.
After making your latte, you sat down on the couch with your laptop to edit your portfolio website. You added a few new pieces and clicked saved. You checked your email and saw someone asking for your help designing a logo for their upcoming brand. You look further into it to make sure it wasn’t a scam. It wasn’t a scam and you were very excited. You reached out to them telling them that you were more than happy to help create a logo for their brand.
You closed your laptop and grabbed your sketchbook. Your brain was full of design ideas for products that you wanted to create. Stationary has always been your favorite especially cards. You started designing some but, you felt there could be more. You sketched for a few hours. You haven’t felt this creative since dealing with burnout that has lasted the last couple of months.
By 10:00 am, you put your sketchbook down and went into your room to start getting ready to meet Matt. You were worried because Matt hasn’t sent you the address yet. You decided to reach out to him and asked him for the address. He texts you within 5 minutes, sent you the address, and apologized for waiting till the last minute. You felt a little less nervous. You took a shower to wash your hair, naturally blow-dried and styled it with a couple of hair clips. You did natural makeup because you like a little bit of makeup but not too much. You used concealer, mascara, light faux lashes, blush, brow pencil, light eyeshadow, and a natural pinkish-nude lip. You felt very beautiful and did the makeup you loved.
The outfit was the hardest part, you wanted some casual but a little bit more dressed up. You ended up wearing a loose-fitted ivory sweater, dark wash flare high-waisted jeans, 4” heel black boots, and a cozy black puffer jacket. It’s 11:15am and it’s a 10-minute walk from your place. You grabbed your bag and keys and went to the place where Matt wanted to meet up and have lunch.
Mystery Meet-Up Location
It’s 11:25 am and you made it to the location. It’s the cafe where you saw Matt a couple of days prior. It was very sweet however you heard a whisper. You turned your head to the right side of the building where there is an ally way. It was Matt with his hood up trying to conceal his identity. You followed him and went into the cafe from the back rather than the front.
You and Matt sat down at a table away from other customers and ordered your drinks and food. You ordered a matcha latte with honey and a turkey veggie sandwich with a side of pesto pasta. Matt ordered a black coffee with a slash of cream and sugar and a classic sub sandwich with chips. You two talked about your morning and you asked about his last couple of tours.
Y/N: How were the last couple of tours?
Matt: They were really good. Everyone had fun and as much as I love touring, I’m happy that I'm not touring till January 27th. I have a little over a month to focus on resting.
Y/N: That's really cool. I'm glad you get to rest before going back on the road. I wanted to say thank you for taking me out for lunch and coordinating everything.
Matt: Yeah it's nice and no problem. I wanted to see you again but I wanted to make sure it was enjoyable for both of us.
After Matt's last statement, your drinks come followed by your food 10 minutes later. Matt saw what you got and asked if he could take a bite. You tend to share your food a lot and let him get a bite of your sandwich.
Your friends and family sometimes give you a hard time about your diet because they think it's because you're trying to be like the health/fitness influencers on Instagram when in reality it's because of your stomach issues. Since changing your diet, your stomach has been feeling a lot better but continue to remind yourself that there are no good foods or bad foods. Food is fuel and food is important. But more importantly, you should enjoy food without discomfort. It was refreshing to see someone so open-minded and willing to try the foods and drinks you make or order. It makes you smile and feel seen and accepted. What was even better was that he didn't mention how your food looked - only that it looks really good. You started to fall in love with him but you took a step back and reminded yourself that you two are friends and starting to get to know each other. Take it one step at a time.
Sweet Treat
The both of you enjoyed your food and continue to chat until around 3pm. You were hungry for something a little sweet but there were no bakeries in the area that focuses on pastries without refined sugars or sugar alcohols. You remembered that you made yourself some pumpkin scones at home. Matt paid the bill since he set everything up but you wanted to do something nice for him since he paid the bill.
Y/N: Thanks for buying lunch! Would you like to come to my place and have a couple homemade sweet treats with me? I understand if you don’t want to.
Matt: I would love to, however, can we take my car so we can get there safely without disruptions?
Y/N: Absolutely! It's a 10-minute walk from here but it'll be roughly a 3-5 drive.
Matt: Perfect! Thank you. Let's go!
The both of you go into his car and drove down to your place. You were excited but nervous because you still had a little unpacking to do but your place was clean enough to have guests over. You mentioned this to Matt but he assures you that it's okay and that he was happy to be hanging out with you.

Housenapped: Tanner Grayton X OC - Chapter 1: Suspicious Activity
I am a casual writer, meaning I don't upload consistently. Please don't get attached to any "series" I write (as it may only be one part released). Either way, I hope you enjoy.
Word Count: 1299
I wake up the next morning with sun rays shining through the sides of my curtains. I have these thick, velvet curtains to keep my room dark, good for warding off unwelcome nighttime visitors, but at this time of day, visible streaks of light appear on the wall.
My days are typically filled with something to do, but not entirely busy. I work from home so everything I do is through the computer. I’m a graphic designer. I create visual concepts, mostly for housing layouts and home decoration, and send them to marketers and developers who make it a reality. I also send them to clients who are looking to change things up in the home. When I’m not doing that, I host online auctions for charity or I sell items I don't want any more to make a little extra cash. Those three practices combined; I make quite a bit of money overall. Then, when the sun begins to set, my neighborhood watch duties begin. I make my rounds, get back home by nightfall, and in my free time I watch television.
Back when I was in public school, I used to envy the people who got to wake up to the natural sunlight. I would get up at four o'clock in the morning just to get ready for classes. Now I get to wake up in the afternoon. I pull myself out of bed, do my morning routine, and decide to go to the store. Now that I think about it, the store is really the only reason I leave the house. Even my clothes I order online. Sometimes I consider going out more, but every time I try, a sense of dread overcomes me and I back out. I can barely stand getting groceries. Going to my kitchen, I check to see what I may need.
Everything.
I need everything.
My fridge is bare bones. There's only water, expired plant milk, cabbage I will never touch and a well-used bottle of ketchup. And a box of tampons? So I did have tampons! I bought a new box for nothing? I really need some sleep if I’m so I’m putting sanitary products in the fridge. I should get rid of them all together and switch to those new period panty things. I leave the kitchen and grab my bag.
It’s freeing owning a car now. I used to only take Ubers and Lifts, but Luna convinced me to stop being afraid and get my own car. So I finally bit the bullet and got one. It’s a humble little used car, but it works all the same and gets me to my destination. It’s a weekday so the stores aren’t too crowded. I should have pre-planned my meals before I came to narrow down my grocery list, but I guess I’ll work on staple items and intuition. Rice, potatoes, cheese, veggies and whatever else comes to mind. I quite enjoy grocery shopping when it’s not busy.
I end up returning home with far too many bags. That darn Costco and their love for bulk items. I take the food out of the bags, putting them in their respective places in my kitchen. The purchase I’m most excited for I place proudly on my dining table: the huge triple chocolate cake with delicious chocolate icing presented on the crystal cake stand my mom got me. I'll do my best to cherish it, but it’s so good it may just be gone by the end of the week. Realising I didn’t have breakfast before I left, I make myself two raspberry toaster strudels and head to my home office.
Every day, before I start work, I check my email for any upcoming projects or job opportunities. I read each assignment to myself under my breath. “Faith Gallagher’s thinking of rearranging her sunroom... Maddox of ‘A Hat’s Home’ wants me to design a mini house for Nathan Sharp... wants to surprise his wife- that's a good commission. Cory Davis and… hmm?”
I click on a message sent from Youngman, Luna. I wasn’t expecting to hear from her. It was an email letting me know I was on my own for Nightwatch tonight. Apparently, the scheduled member is too sick to take the shift with me. I emailed her back, letting her know I don’t mind covering the route by myself, then returned to my other emails.
I’m halfway through my work and hungry again. I know I should consider eating a sandwich or salad, but that cake has been calling my name since I picked it up. Shamelessly, I grab a big piece of the heavenly treat, and as the hours go by, I have my second piece, then my third, then my fourth. Needless to say, half the cake was gone by the time work ended. So long cherishing it. Before I know it, I’m getting ready to do my rounds. Like every night, this one is uneventful. Sometimes I wonder what would happen if someone did come across a criminal. What would they do? I have a registered gun and fight training, courtesy of the many instructors I've paid, but my neighbors might not. The police here have a slow response time and no one in this neighborhood seems to have any sense of self-defense. You’d think living in a neighborhood with recent suspicious activity would at least give someone the sense to invest in security.
It’s good that I joined though. At least I know what to look out for. In addition to the self-defense classes, I took quite a few crime-based classes in college. Did I waste my life? I'm nowhere near old, but considering all the college classes I took and all the degrees I have, shouldn't I be doing something more than designing rooms and cowering in my house? No. This is smart. This is safe.
I’m finally home, so ready to binge watch come TV. But of course, before I start my marathon I get some food. I microwave a bag of theater popcorn and start making my dinner. Once I’m finished with all that, I put them on some TV-trays and head back to the kitchen to get some more cake, but I pause. I keep promising myself I’ll start living healthy. I just got it and already half is gone. Tomorrow. I think to myself, and take a piece of cake. But something’s… off. I could have sworn I only ate half the cake. It looked like another piece had been taken. I should probably check the house to see if someone is here, but come on. What kind of professional criminal takes a slice of their victims' cake?
I shrug it off and take a big slice, then return to my living room TV. I start the marathon, but not even ten minutes in I’m distracted by a feeling. I have all my lights on, but I still want to be certain. I quickly get to my laptop and check my outside cameras. Everything seems okay, but what is that? I swear I saw a glimpse of white in the corner. What in the world?
Not wanting to get myself worked up, I settle on it being a cat or a bag or something. But just to be sure I look around the house. My bathroom light is on. I never keep it on. I must have forgotten to this morning before leaving. I don’t find anyone in the house and the outside looks fine from the windows, so I sit back down in the living room, lay a blanket over my lap, and start eating. I’m up until early morning watching, but the whole time I can’t help but think:
What was that white movement in my camera?

I asked ChatGPT for a diet plan.
I asked ChatGPT for a diet that helped collagen production, reduce inflammation, and improve gut health. Here's what it gave me. Breakfast is inedible. Sigh.
The plan checks all the boxes, but maybe just try the ingredients in different recipes. I love ChatGPT...it tries (but sometimes lies).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
To support healthy living, improve collagen production, reduce inflammation, and promote gut health, your diet should focus on nutrient-dense, whole foods rich in vitamins, minerals, healthy fats, and fibers. Here’s a daily diet plan designed to address all three areas:
Breakfast
Bone Broth Smoothie - Who in their right mind's will try this?
Why? Bone broth is rich in collagen and amino acids that support joint, skin, and gut health.
Ingredients:
1 cup homemade or high-quality store-bought bone broth
1 cup spinach or kale (anti-inflammatory, rich in vitamins and minerals)
1/2 cup mixed berries (antioxidants)
1 tablespoon ground flaxseed or chia seeds (omega-3s for inflammation)
1 scoop collagen powder (to boost collagen intake)
1 tablespoon almond butter (healthy fats)
Instructions: Blend all ingredients until smooth.
Oats with Turmeric and Ginger: - Get away from me demon!
Why? Oats are a good source of fiber for gut health. Turmeric and ginger are potent anti-inflammatory agents.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
1/4 teaspoon grated ginger
1 tablespoon chia seeds or hemp seeds
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk or coconut milk
A drizzle of honey (optional)
Instructions: Cook oats with almond milk, then stir in turmeric and ginger, and top with seeds.
Mid-Morning Snack
Probiotic Yogurt with Flaxseeds and Walnuts
Why? Yogurt contains probiotics that promote gut health, while walnuts provide anti-inflammatory omega-3s.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup unsweetened Greek yogurt (or dairy-free alternative)
1 tablespoon ground flaxseeds
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 tablespoon honey (optional)
Instructions: Mix together and enjoy.
Lunch
Salmon Salad with Avocado, Olive Oil, and Lemon- Nice.
Why? Salmon is rich in omega-3s for reducing inflammation, and avocado provides healthy fats to support collagen production.
Ingredients:
4 oz grilled wild-caught salmon
1/2 avocado (rich in healthy fats and antioxidants)
Mixed leafy greens (e.g., spinach, arugula, kale)
1 tablespoon olive oil (anti-inflammatory)
Juice of half a lemon
Cucumber, bell peppers, and tomatoes (rich in vitamin C for collagen production)
Sprinkle of sea salt and pepper
Instructions: Toss all ingredients in a bowl and drizzle with olive oil and lemon.
Afternoon Snack
Carrot Sticks with Hummus - Okay, but only because I love hummus
Why? Carrots are rich in beta-carotene, which supports collagen formation, while hummus provides fiber and protein for gut health.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup carrot sticks
2-3 tablespoons hummus
Instructions: Dip carrot sticks into hummus. (Haha)
Evening
Chamomile Tea with Ginger and Lemon - We brew tea with ginger, so close enough
Why? Chamomile promotes relaxation and gut health, while ginger is anti-inflammatory and soothing for digestion.
Ingredients:
1 chamomile tea bag or dried chamomile
A few slices of fresh ginger
Lemon juice (aids digestion and collagen production)
Instructions: Brew tea and add ginger and lemon.
Dinner
Chicken Stir-Fry with Broccoli, Bell Peppers, and Sweet Potato - Love!!!
Why? Chicken provides collagen-promoting amino acids, while vegetables like broccoli and bell peppers offer vitamins and antioxidants.
Ingredients:
4 oz chicken breast (organic or pasture-raised)
1 cup broccoli florets (rich in vitamin C for collagen)
1/2 bell pepper (vitamin C)
1 small sweet potato (rich in beta-carotene and fiber)
1 tablespoon olive oil or coconut oil
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions: Sauté chicken in olive oil, add veggies, and stir-fry with turmeric, black pepper, and a pinch of sea salt. Serve with a side of roasted sweet potato.
Additional Tips:
Hydration: Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Bone broth, herbal teas, and fresh juices (like celery or cucumber) can also contribute to hydration and gut health.
Foods to Avoid: Reduce processed foods, sugar, and refined grains, as these can increase inflammation and hinder gut health.
Key Nutrients for Collagen:
Vitamin C: Found in citrus fruits, bell peppers, broccoli, and strawberries.
Amino Acids (Proline and Glycine): Found in bone broth, chicken, turkey, and fish.
Zinc: Found in pumpkin seeds, cashews, and lentils.
Anti-Inflammatory Foods to Focus On:
Omega-3 fatty acids: Salmon, chia seeds, flaxseeds, walnuts.
Antioxidants: Berries, leafy greens, turmeric, ginger, garlic, green tea.
Gut Health Support:
Probiotics: Yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, kimchi.
Prebiotics: Garlic, onions, leeks, asparagus, bananas.
This diet plan integrates all the necessary nutrients for healthy collagen production, reducing inflammation, and promoting gut health. By incorporating these nutrient-rich, anti-inflammatory foods, you’ll support your body from the inside out!

Wednesday Wellness Tip!
Eat at least 3 meals a day and healthy snacks in between so your brain will work at its optimum level of potential. Our brains control everything we do and that means we need to keep our brain sharp and ready for anything. One way you can do that is to eat good and healthy food on a regular basis. People who skip meals to lose weight are doing themselves a great disservice because they don’t realize the damage and deterioration they are causing to their brain cells. If you look good and talk dumb, well, you just might embarrass yourself and you don't want that kind of response. We need to eat, we are supposed to eat, we thrive and think better when we eat and we even talk better when we eat so eating is vital to survival and to getting on in life in a way that works for all of us. I constantly get compliments on how brilliant I am and I appreciate that but I don’t take a pill for that. I have worked hard to take care of my brain to make sure I can articulate properly, think clearly, think intelligently and on a higher level of consciousness and make sure I can think on my feet when it’s necessary. A lot of this has to do with proper nutrition. So what I do is I make sure I get my veggies and fruits into my diet and that doesn’t mean eating a fruit or vegetable all the time, it could mean drinking it which I love to do when I am out and about and don’t have a lot of time to cut up veggies and fruits. I can either juice some veggies and fruits at home or I can swing by a Sprouts or Whole Foods and they have an array of healthy beverages with just fruit or veggies in them, low sugar intake and full of energy and I get my fruit and veggie intake for the day. If you do have time, and I suggest being diligent about making time on the weekends, cut up fruits and veggies on the weekends so you can grab them and go during the week, which I also do when I can. If you take time on your days off to prepare for the week ahead you won’t have to run over to Jack In The Box or Carl’s Jr. or In-N-Out and eat cheap crap every day. Meat stiffens the blood and makes it very weak which is why you fill heavy after eating a cheeseburger or a hot dog or pork or beef or steak and then you develop disease because the blood should flow evenly and properly and if you are full of meat you are bound to be diagnosed with some kind of disease or illness that you cannot control unless you change your diet. Our bodies and brains were not designed to eat meat so if you eat it a lot you are damaging your brain and the intelligence within will not come out the way you need it to. When I eat healthy food I feel lighter, I feel free, I feel energized and healthy and strong like the guy on the Drive Time commercial (“I feel strong”) lol, Iove that commercial, totally hilarious and ridiculous. Anyway, I feel great and I think better and my intelligence comes right out because of what I put into my body. I don’t drink a bunch of sugary drinks nor do I drink soda except for a Ginger Ale once or twice a month (gotta have my Ginger Ale), and I drink lots of water which replenishes whatever I deplete throughout the day, the purpose of drinking water in the first place. Continued on next post....

It wasn't until about 1900 that the term came to refer to the wholesome drinks made by mixing milk and syrups with ice cream. Many of the diners in 1940’s and 50’s America featured thick shakes as one of their staple offerings. A salesman named Ray Kroc bought the exclusive rights to the 1930’s era Multimixer milk shake maker. Creating an automated machine which he put to good use expanding his chain of McDonalds restaurants. Rather than a machine, we use a professional grade bar blender. With ice cream and our other ingredients mixed just before being served for maximum freshness. Allegedly shakes got their name from being served in bars. If the customer enjoyed the shake he would shake hands with the bartender. If he didn't, the bartender didn't get a tip. The world's largest shake was made in 2000 by Ira Freehof. At 6000 gallons it was equivalent to 50,000 normal shakes. June 20th is national Vanilla Milk Shake Day (in the states of course). September 12th chocolate shake day.
