being anti ai is making me feel like in going insane. "you asked for thoughts about your characters backstory and i put it into chat gpt for ideas". studies have proven its making people dumber. "i asked ai to generate this meal plan". its causing water shortages where its data centers are built. "ill generate some pictures for the dnd campaign". its spreading misinformation. "meta, generate an image of this guy doing something stupid". its trained off stolen images, writing, video, audio. "i was talking with my snapchat ai-" theres no way to verify what its doing with the information it collects. "youtube is impletmenting ai based age verification". my work has an entire graphics media department and has still put ai generated motivational posters up everywhere. ai playlists. ai facial verification. google ai microsoft ai meta ai snapchat ai. everyone treats it as a novelty. every treats it as a mandatory part of life. am i the only one who sees it? am i paranoid? am i going insane? jesus fucking christ. if i have to hear one more "well at least-" "but it does-" "but you can-" im about to lose it. i shouldnt have to jump through hoops to avoid the evil machine. have you no principles? no goddamn spine? am i the weird one here?

Quick system talk here, but I genuinely think getting back into MySims was one of the best things that I've done for myself

Not only for connecting with other people that also love and remember this series, but also for my innersys

Since (and I fault my brother's actions for this, though he's grown since and now no longer has an issue with me liking mysims) I was discouraged from engaging in any more mysims media after my first hyperfixation ended, so a lot of the innersys specifically grew to hate the possibility of a mysims fictive

Lo and behold, we get a (half) mysims fictive and everyone starts freaking out (this was sometime during our koopaling era)

But getting back into Mysims has helped like, idk, helped us accept our other fictives instead of jumping at each other just because of where our brain decides to latch onto and import parts from

Cause now we have a Mysims fictive as one of our most frequent fronters, and it's kinda interesting how that works

There's something so absurd about fandom and whitewashing

Maybe I'm used to seeing character as darker than they might actually be or whatever, but like

Brown characters "headcanoned" as white, tan characters drawn lighter than the white people surrounding them

Fandom has even managed to whitewash white people. How do you whitewash a white person

At first Crystal was excited but then she realised "aaaah shit, she's a cheerleader!" Kate attaches herself to Crystal and follows her around much to Crystal's dismay. Can't believe I forgot to post my refs for Ray and Rob for potential MySims Kingdom designs

They both live in Spookane and are vamparic twin royals. Their adoptive father is Blaine, who frequently travels to assist his coven around the world.

They commonly hang out in towers, but Ray can frequent the dock (visiting Goth Boy) and Rob will follow Spencer around whenever he visits

They like to spook/bully non-Spookies who try to enter beyond the docks. They also like to sit upon their perch and gossip about visitors. They both live together in a gothic tower.

More on each twin below the cut!

Ray Jarrett (he/they) is the older twin by nine minutes and eighteen seconds. He loves Spooky. They're a bit of a snob and love belt buckles. He's overcritical over fashion.

He has a crush on Goth Boy, but their crush is one sided.

They're chill with Carl, but doesn't know him on a personal level.

He doesn't like Morcubus since their family is in a duel with Morcubus over leadership of Spookane.

Yuki is his best friend and they like to talk about shinies and biting faces.

They're friends with Violet, but has grown slightly distant from her just because they live so far apart.

He respects Vincent, but mostly only because Vincent is their father's advisor. They don't care for Vincent aside from that.

They're suspicious of Spencer's involvement with their sister. However, they find great joy in tormenting him with spiders.

Rob is Ray's closest friend in the entire world. He's actually noticably a lot more sad without her.

Rob Jarrett (she/they) is the younger twin. She loves Tech. Whenever they're not with Ray, she's playing games on her tower's computer. They play as the King of the Combo on Pallyquest.

Spencer is her loving boyfriend. They follow each other around, and he acts as her bodyguard when at Spookane.

They feel overwhelmed when around Yuki since she's super hyper, so they tend to avoid her.

Carl is a good friend of hers, and she tries to help him decorate the swamp with trinkets from Cutopia (whenever she goes to visit Spencer).

Violet is one of their best friends, as they're both Spookies that frequent Cutopia due to their boyfriends living there. They talk a lot about the cultural differences between the islands.

Vic Vector is her other best friend, although she's only known them through Pallyquest. They talk a lot about space, and share photos of their jobs (Vic's as an astronaut and Rob's as a baroness) with each other.

She genuinely doesn't care much for Goth Boy because she feels he's apathetic about Spooky culture, which she finds insulting. On the rare occassion that they talk, they usually talk about poetry and horror videogames.

Vincent is like an uncle to her, in a sense that he's known her since she was little and gives her frequent life lessons based upon what he's learned through his life. He also brings home skulls for her to admire, which she stores in her tower.

Like Ray, they don't like Morcubus due to the family duel. They think Morcubus isn't pretty enough to rule Spookane (and feels that they and their brother are far prettier and more fit to be the sovreigns of the island).
