Because I'm a silly goose and kinda obsessed with my own art rn (rare), I'm gonna share some process sketches and junk of the tmagp characters as I was figuring out designs. Nobody will see this but that's okay!! This is just for me anyways lol.

Gonna put it all under this cut cuz it is loooong.

These are kinda the first iterations of Sam and Alice once the actual show was released (I had drawn Sam before, with the trailer. These versions of Sam are more similar to my first few attempts at him.)

Alice was always gonna have albinism. It just took a bit to figure out her clothes and actual silhouette. Sam, I had to redesign his hair on 5 separate occasions before I was satisfied.

I kid you not, I have like 4 pages of sketches in my sketchbook just on Sam Khalid. I love him so much <3 . I dunno what it was that made me change his hair to curly exactly, but I'm glad I did. He is now my corduroy boy ^^ .

... And lastly, Teddy, since he was not actually in the lineup. I do have some idea of his design, even before I started on the lineup. And I was so tempted to include him anyways! But the bit was too funny to compromise on. I promise I'll draw him later!!! For now, here's the innitial sketch I have of him:

Demo- This man wears wine mom pj's and I will die on this hill. He wears a shirt that says "wine o'clock!" And has pajama pants with little wine glasses and bottles on them. Has multiple other wine pun-themed pajama shirts, each time he wears one you can feel Scout physically cringe. He's just so silly like that. But I don't think he sleeps in the wine shirts, he just wears them when he has to put a shirt on after he's ready for bed. Also has wine socks, to match his whole outfit ofc.

Engineer- Wears dad pajamas. I'm sorry. But like? He seems like the kind of guy to wear thick ass flannel pajama pants with an equally as thick matching button-up. He's got fuzzy slippers (also flannel). Wears socks with those silly dad socks. Wears the entire get up to bed every night. Such a silly goose!

Heavy- Genuinely wears old man pajamas. Wears a plain T-shirt, some warm pajama pants, and a robe. Has bunny slippers, please let me give this man bunny slippers. I don't know guys, in my head, he's so cartoonish. Sleeps in a bed with a patterned comforter has his slippers on and likes handing out the blanket bc it's too small. Ough, silly guy.

Medic- I'm frothing at the mouth. But I'm also torn. I want to say he dresses up in that goofy-looking "Christmas Carol" nightgown with a nightcap and everything but at the same time? I can imagine this man in either white, pink, or red, silk pajamas, you know the ones. In my mind, fits his whole teen girl vibe. This all implies he sleeps, which is a rarity, but when he does it is very glamorous.

Scout- Minecraft pajamas. Kidding! Half kidding? I think he sleeps in a t-shirt and boxers instead of actual pajamas. Minecraft t-shirts and themed boxers? Yeah. Has some thick pairs of clothes for colder nights. Mainly just some nice pajamas pants and a thick hoodie.

Sniper- No pajamas. Wears jeans and a tank top, and a T-shirt if it's chilly. I don't think this man has ever worn pajamas. But in fairness, I don't think he ever continuously falls asleep. Just works and works and ends up passing out in whatever he's wearing. If he ever does finally decide to actually get some rest he has been known to just sleep in boxers.

Spy- Old Hollywood robe. All I need to say. Has an intense sleep routine, wears an eye mask, puffs up all his pillows, and flops onto his bed dramatically with a sigh after a long day. Dramatic bitch. (loving) Sleeps with a blanket pulled up to his chin, and has like eight fans going. Has to have specific conditions to sleep. Crazy man.

Soldier- I can't tell if this man respects the flag code with every fiber of his being or if he'd wear an entire American flag-themed pajama set. I'll go with a mix of both. Wears sweatpants and one of those cliché 4th of July t-shirts that every beer drinking white dad wears. Or he doesn't wear anything, the TF2 fandom has seemed to deam this man someone who doesn't understand the importance of clothes.

Pyro- Unicorn onesie! Or some other form of onesie. They aren't particular. They like comfortable clothes and bonus points if it's really cute too. Has a collection of them. One time Pyro saw Ppy wearing an eye mask and bought one to try. Looks very silly on top of their gas mask. Overall, all these guys are really silly.

At that time, Maverick told the story of large extinct animals, including dinosaurs. He used to tell you a story before you go to bed, switching between the animals, the flowers, and even he told his experiences in the air. He was your hero, he is still. You didn't know that Mav was exhausted from work, but you asked him to tell you stories.

'More! More!' you exclaimed. Mav smiled.

'I'll tell you tomorrow, Sweetie. You need to go to prep school, remember? Now go to bed,' he kissed your temple.

'Oh, come on, Dad! One more story, please?' you gave him your best puppy eyes, making him chuckle. Maverick couldn't possibly refuse his sweet little daughter's request.

Tomorrow is another day 😔 I have an assignment to complete over the weekend, and I have to study other stuff too because I WILL be an academic weapon 💪 (pls 🙏)

I don’t know what it is, but there’s something strange about being away from Orion for this long. It’s almost been a month, and we still talk almost every day. I know I can’t expect for things to feel all that normal. I left her alone in LA. She has a life there. I’m busy, touring with the band.

I think days like today are when I feel it the most. We’re in a random ass city in New England. We have a show tonight, but today we aren’t doing press, and there’s not exactly a lot to do in Connecticut. It’s just another day with the boys, whom I love dearly, but don’t exactly have a lot of fresh topics to talk to them about. 

At least it felt okay to sleep in this morning. A lot of days it feels like a waste of being in a cool city or a waste of being close to family to sleep in, but in Uncasville, Connecticut, sleeping until 11 feels like an appropriate start to the day. 

I wake up to a few texts from Orion, which is unsurprising but always good to see.

I’m not sure how long it’s been that Orion and I are just sitting here texting each other back and forth until Ashton is giggling across the room at me.

“What are you making all those faces for, Cal?” He asks.

I flip him off. “Just texting Orion.”

“Oooh, what are you guys talking about?” Luke walks in the room, a banana in hand and Sierra trailing behind him carrying a Starbucks cup. 

I roll my eyes. “Not that it’s any of your business, but I was just telling her she should make her Instagram public, and she thinks it’d just open up a door for death threats.”

“The fans like her now, don’t they?” Luke asks. He plops down on the couch next to me, and Sierra sits on his right side. He looks around the room at all of us, searching for confirmation.

“She always gets love when I post a picture with her in it,” Ashton confirms. 

It’s no secret that I’m not exactly an active user on any social media, so even though I have millions of photos of me and Orion, I don’t share them much. That’s both due to my personal social media habits and Orion’s wishes to keep her presence on my social media to a minimum. It’s kind of like her rule for flowers — only for special occasions. 

Ashton, on the other hand, posts a few photos at a time to his story and feed pretty regularly, and more often than not, if there’s a group picture, Orion is in it. He’s also the only one that really hangs out with Orion on her own regularly, so naturally they have more photos of the two of them. That said, if she’s only getting positive comments on Ashton’s posts, I’m sure she’d get positive reactions if she shared her own.

“I’m not saying she should or shouldn’t,” Sierra starts. “But I definitely get why she doesn’t want a public profile.”

“I mean, to be fair, a lot of what she posts is of you guys,” Luke adds. He’s not wrong. Because her profile is private and she can pick and choose who follows her, she feels fine to post whatever she wants, and that means posting a lot of pictures with me, of me, and of Duke. “She definitely wouldn’t want to do that if she went public.”

I sigh, knowing that Sierra and Luke are probably right, and Orion is too, even if she’s not completely accurate with what would actually happen if she made her profile public. I decide to drop it. 

“Where’s that Starbucks at?” I decide to ask, changing the subject. I nod at Sierra’s coffee cup in her hand. 

With the address in hand, I head off to find someone to drive me to the Starbucks and go back to texting Orion.

I've only written one crossover, which was Doctor Who and Firefly, as a gift. more likely to write an AU.

not sure I have an all time favourite? I've only got like... 4? that have lasted and while I don't engage with the older ones right now, I still love them, but... eh, who knows!

I don't really have any wips ... oh maybe one? but I don't really have any interest in finishing it

hmmm, fluff? is that a strength? I do like taking slightly ridiculous ideas and trying ground them so they feel possible, and I *think* I do ok with that?

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I get caught up on little details sometimes, and make them an issue, and definitely no good on flow-y writing... hopefully it's still enjoyable though!

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

if it makes sense for the story and there are translations included, I think it's fine. not something I'll do, as someone who never learnt another language.

Doctor Who, the Doctor and Rose caught be by surprise and I fell into the fandom and fic and then eventually tried my hand and writing my own...

Secrets of the Forest (Horizon, Aloy/Kotallo (E)) has such a special place in my heart, I had so much fun with the world and their story and it's a smutty fairytale in a lot of ways and I'm happy with how it turned out 🐂

Kotallo versus the Goose (Horizon, Aloy/Kotallo (E)) was such a crazy idea, but I wanted absolutely ridiculous and very sweet and I think I achieved that... HONK! 🦢

even if watching top gun will give you '80s hives i still must recommend the original to you even if only for you to meet goose bradshaw. he is the epitome of Too Good For This World So He Has To Die and only sociopaths do not love him

i am serious. respect the goose. he died for all our sins 🛐

now back to the topic at hand:

iceman was indeed val kilmer and mav's homoerotic rival! he and mav butted heads A LOT over the fact that mav flew very dangerously and unconventionally which put his classmates at risk. most of the iconic lines in the film stem from their arguments

in the end they overcame their differences after the "layton mission," where they fought off five enemy planes by themselves. they became top gun legends for this and also shared a gay handshake and a line about being each other's valentines after the layton mission. love wins!

despite mav now being a top gun legend, by the time tgm takes place ice is still one of the only guys in the navy who likes mav despite how he flies

penny (jennifer connelly's character) was created for tgm but they got the idea for her character from an offhand remark in the first film! this isn't important to know but i think it's neat

obligatory content warning for planes, sunsets, and male-presenting nipples! watch out for these if you're not a fan

I think I can say with utter honesty that Loki was the first (of many) antihero(es) I fell in love with. The complexity of this man (God, sorry darling), his backstory, the tragedy of it, while remaining true to himself and to those he deems worthy of his trust and love... It's all...*chef's kiss*. And YES, I'm talking about MCU Loki because I love him most, but I also adore Comic!Loki and NorseMythology!Loki. ;)

2. Nymphadora Tonks (Wizarding World)

I could have chosen her husband (MY husband) Remus because I LOOOOOOOVE him with all my heart, but I chose Tonks instead. You've got to understand. When the fifth book came out, I was a teenager, I was awkward, different. I dyed my hair, I was clumsy, too clever for my own good, and I was a bit of a loner. All that made me feel miserable, because why couldn't I just be like everyone else? Then, in came Tonks. Who was clumsy, different, with bubblegum-coloured hair, loyal to a fault. And who was an AUROR. A BADASS WITCH. And suddenly, it became okay to be all those things. And fuck being like everyone else. <3

3. Derek Hale (Teen Wolf)

I never watched the show. Ever. But reading extensively about Derek's character and backstory made it impossible not to love him whole-heartedly. That Sourwolf deserves the WORLD. <3

4. Eowyn of Rohan (Lord of the Rings)

I fell head over heels for her in the movies first, then when I read her for the first time, it was game over. Tolkien may have been parcimonious with his women characters, but Eowyn entirely surpasses any other male character in my opinion (sorry Aragorn, Faramir and Pippin, you know I love you too). She's far from the damsel in distress people would make her to be, and she's badass without being less feminine for it. <3

5. Nick 'Goose' Bradshaw (Top Gun)

Do I have to explain myself, when I've got a goose tattoed on my arm in his honour? My Polaroid-taking piano-playing moustache-wearing love. <3

6. Katsumoto Moritso (The Last Samurai)

Have I mentioned how much I love that movie, yet? :P Alright, it's my favourite movie ever: whenever I need a good cry, I just watch Katsu do his thing and I'm done for the count. Ken Watanabe giving him life after battling leukemia is even more touching, don't mind me, I'm tearing up over here.

Before the show took everything by storm, my Wednesday spent her days looking like a psychopath and trying to kill her brother while finding out if her uncle was her uncle or not. And when I was a little girl, all I wanted, was to be like Wednesday. XD

9. The Doctor (Doctor Who)

I may be repeating myself, but I properly learnt English while watching DW. I stumbled upon Blink one night (Weeping Angels, still the creepiest villains EVER) and got hooked, even though at the time I didn't understand half of what was being said. Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant taught me English, Matt Smith made me fall more and more in love with the show, and Peter Capaldi became MY Doctor (I love grumpy assholes, as seen above). Then, Jodie became the first female Doctor, and she wasn't weaker, she wasn't more mellow, she was the same ruthless, awkward, loving but questionable alien I'd gotten to love. AND THANK CHIBNALL FOR THAT!

10. Benji Dunn (Mission: Impossible)

I couldn't not talk about MY spy movies. The ones that are so much better than any James Bond ever made, the ones that keep me on the edge of my seat and make me fall harder and harder for its characters every instalment. And Benji is by far my favourite (Simon Pegg isn't stranger to this), and if ANYTHING HAPPENS TO HIM IN MI7 TOM CRUISE GETS IT!!!

okay so here are my reactions for the plays!

Mother Goose:

Amazing! Great great show, silly just like I like. You forget everything for two hours! Lot of fandom jokes -Lotr for Ian obviously, as a comedian and DW for John.

A few jokes à la Shrek, meaning that the kid will laugh but the adults will get the real meaning ;)

And lucky enough to see John Bishop before the show, just as I was coming back from my run to Sainsbury's.

Good

Well honestly I was so exhausted from the day, and it's pretty heavy to get. Lot of characters played by the other actors with DT, the switch was nicely done but damn you have to stay focus.

Much as The Crucicle, I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. But we did get DT doing a song with a little dance and it was super cute!

After the show he did autographs, and after signing he was looking into your soul while saying thank you. A man (around 50) was overjoyed because he asked him to sign 'to Alonso' and he did. What a cutie!

(Also appreciating that he was also masked because I felt pretty lonely all day between the train, underground, shops and plays...)

But, that was enough for you to creep away from the door and sit on the couch. Lust was attractive, and her main game was seducing men to get what she wanted...

What if she wants Ling?

What if she convinces Ling that she's better?

What if Ling changes his mind and wants to be with her instead...?

So many what if's swam through your head. Your heart thumped rapidly in your chest, your lungs feeling like they weren't getting enough air, your eyes stinging with tears as constant images of Ling and Lust together began to haunt you.

Slowly curling up into yourself, you turned so your face was plastered into the couch cushion

The ringing in your ears grew louder and you soon tuned out Lust and Greed, now being replaced by image after image of Ling with Lust

You refused to let tears fall, not wanting to bother Ling with this whenever Lust leaves and Greed puts Ling back

You didn't know how long you'd laid there until a pair of hands landed on your side. You jumped and turned. Ling's eyes were still a mahogany red, which meant Greed was still in control.

"Hey kid. From the look on your face, I'm assuming you heard what Lust said."

"Is it that obvious...?" You say, rubbing your eye.

Greed patted your head. "Sorry, kid."

"Sorry for wha-"

Greed had closed his eyes and allowed Ling to take over again. The prince pounced on you, rubbing his cheek with yours, ecstatic to be back in control

Ling's memory is spotty when Greed is in control, so he didn't know you'd heard Lust's comment

You hesitantly wrapped your arms around Ling, mumbling a low "hi"

Ling paused. "I know that tone. What's wrong, honey?"

Ling, your ever doting boyfriend, looked at you with concern.

"No, I'm...I'm fine."

"You sure? Your breathing heavier than normal..."

You gave Ling a fake smile. "Yeah, yeah."

Ling, not believing you, hugged you tighter. "You can tell me, hun. Nothing's gonna happen, okay?"

You trusted him, of course, but your brain and heart were telling you no... "I...I'm worried I'm gonna lose you to Lust."

"Oh...so you heard her?" Ling looks down at you. "Listen, I love you, okay? Not her. She can go try to hook up with someone else for all I care. Besides, this body currently inhabits her brother, so I don't think she's thinking anything in particular..."

Ling snickered at the end, kissing your forehead. "I promise, I'd never let her get close to me. Greed and her just needed to talk about something is all. I love you, okay?"

Numbly, you nodded, laying your head on his chest. "I love you too."

"Now, let's watch a movie and order in, yeah? I'll get your favorite~!"

He suddenly got up and moved to your TV, messing with it, then fiddling with his phone and ordering your favorite food for delivery. As you watched him, you felt the oxygen slowly return to your chest, and your muscles relaxed. You could trust Ling, he loved you. He really did. He wouldn't be doing this if he wasn't.

"Hey, Ling."

"Yeees, sugarplum?" Ling looked up from his spot on the floor.

"I love you."

Ling giggles. "I love you too! Food'll be here in fifteen, okay?"

Boldest thing,,, ouff. I came out to my parents (did not go well but at least now they know and they can choose to ignore it or acknowledge it)

Yes. too many times. I was on a roller coaster (not the Surge dw) and I hit my head on the car's side going down the tallest drop and passed out; then because I was limp, I couldn't hold onto the singular horizontal bar that fell across my lap too loosely I almost flew out of the coaster

-- Thoughts on David/Darlin bodyguard AU --

(is that an already existing AU? Cause if not I really like the idea of it and I'll do a lil blurb)

Darlin is a very important member of an underground fight club, and earns lots of money from the matches they play. David finds himself assigned to this surly, beat-up person who only seems to have insults in their vocabulary.

Darlin hates having someone follow them around with the intent of "keeping them safe" because god damn, they're a ring-fighter. A simple uppercut would knock out their opponent with ease. Easier than flipping an egg. (that's saying a lot as Darlin eats takeout 24/7)

Darlin decides they're gonna disappear from David one night as an attempt to escape the supervision.

David literally sent on a wild goose chase looking for Darlin.

Darlin sending him off track by leaving red herrings in their path that delay their search for them further.

David eventually outsmarting Darlin, and despite him absolutely despising the latter for making him worry so much, he finds himself helplessly attracted to this person for their boldness and stubbornness and sharp mind.

He does everything in his power to keep Darlin safe. Darlin jokingly said once "it's like you're in love with me or something" while he accompanied them to the car, and he almost forgot to close the door.

Darlin doesn't try to disappear again, since they saw how worried David was and (despite their surly outer shell, they are very compassionate) decided it would be best if they kept him around. At least he could be company, albeit the two's quietness and unwillingness to talk.

Darlin is a VIP, and therefore rather (in)famous around the area. David hears of some neighboring group plotting to overtake some of the rings in order to grow their own turf. Knowing Darlin will never leave the ring without a real threat, David is at a loss of how he can convince them to exit the ring and avoid the conflict.

They, of course, don't listen to him at all, and dive head first into the business as soon as David tells them. They stand in their ring as the rivals walk in demanding the space for their turf, and Darlin says, "fight me for it"

David just about died upon hearing their answer.

The rivals take Darlin up on their offer. They all lost. Swearing up a storm, they leave, and Darlin steps down from the stage rubbing their wrist. David gently lectures them as he massages the tension away, and Darlin finds themselves oddly attached to this stupid bodyguard that they didn't want.

The next week, Darlin disappears, again. Not on their own terms, though, kidnapped, tied, and beat, all so the rivals could have their turf.

David's panicking, he doesn't know where to find them because clues were not left for him this time

but- he remembers their scent, and so he and a few detectives follow their trail until he reaches the warehouse that the bastards have locked them in- gagged and tied up in a chair.

Darlin has passed out from hunger and thirst, and David, having picked up some impressive moves from Darlin at their matches, roundhouses all of the rivals and takes Darlin home

patches up their injuries, feeds them spoonful's of water, gives them the space when they need it. Darlin's got a lovely new scar running from their collarbone to the middle of their chest where the sickos tried to carve their heart out

David hands in his resignation letter as soon as Darlin is well enough to walk and return to office. Darlin rips it to shreds without another thought and scatters them into the trash

"you're not leaving, I'm not letting you go."

"I failed to do my job. I didn't protect you."

"You still saved me, now shut the fuck up and sit your ass down. I have something important to tell you"

and Darlin confessed their feelings for him, leaving David with his jaw on the floor

"So, I've said my part. Do you have a response?"

He says yes, of course, he does. He goes on a tangent about him not doing his job properly, losing them, not being able to find clues, not being able to talk them out of the ring fighting to avoid the conflict, and not being able to save them in time to prevent the worst of the injuries. He said doesn't deserve to date them, however much he might've come to realize that he cared about them, a lot.

"There's no such thing as undeserving or deserving, i don't care whether you've saved me once or twice or three times, or whatever! I care that you might feel the same way"

David realizing something "If we are in a relationship I can't work as your bodyguard, it's the rules"

Darlin being sentimental and saying that all they needed was him around and they'd feel safe ksldfjlskdr
