I don't know if they have a ship name yet but I'm just going to call them the Gavvycule. Like they haven't even had an on screen interaction with all three of them (beyond the opening theme) but I can't help it I just love them all so god damn much. Sachika especially

TV Life, 9/20/2024 Issue ft. Kamen Rider Gavv Cast Members (translation below)
Publication: September 4, 2024
Chinen Hidekazu x Hino Yusuke x Miyabe Nozomi
"What were your thoughts when you read the script?"
Chinen: I finished reading it in an instant due to how interesting it was. The more I read, the more I was drawn into the world of this show, and my excitement grew so much that I couldn't wait to play the role.
Hino: Me too. I was so curious about future developments, that every time I read the script, I couldn't wait to get the next one (laughs). Every character that appears is full of personality and intricately intertwined, making this a show that I think children, as well as adults will enjoy.
Miyabe: Naturally, the dialogue is interesting and fun to watch, but each and every character actually has their own problems and insecurities. I thought that the depiction of them growing while confronting these issues was wonderful and gives a human feel to the story. I'm personally encouraged by Shouma and the other's hard work and dedication, so I'd like to do my best to deliver the feelings I have to the viewers as well.
"How do you personally view the roles you play?"
Chinen: Shouma's a cheerful and energetic boy who loves to eat. He's usually innocent, adorable, and incredibly charming, but he's also a very mysterious character from another world. I think his clumsy side and his ability to work as hard as he can in everything he does is what'll make the viewers want to cheer for him, so I'd like to keep that in mind as I perform from now on.
Hino: I play the role of Hanto, a young man who works as a freelance writer, and who's pursuing info on the enemy Granutes. One of the unique characteristics of Hanto is that his feelings towards the Granutes are stronger compared to the others, so I'm always conscious of how to express that in my performance. Going forward, I hope you'll also make sure to pay attention to the development that causes him to transform and become Kamen Rider Valen.
Miyabe: Sachika's the gyaru president of the general store "Hapipare." She's really upbeat and energetic, and she's the kind of person who could just go up to the cool and difficult to approach Hanto and say, "Hey there!" I have no gyaru qualities in my everyday life (laughs), so to prepare for the role, I looked at works in which gyarus appeared and incorporated them into Sachika.
"So, to reference the theme of sweets, how would you compare each other to sweets?"
Hino: Because Hide looks so cute and has some fluffy vibes, I guess he'd be a marshmallow. He's perfectly white and pure just like a marshmallow. Truthfully however, because he also has a strong and unshakable core, he'd be candy filled marshmallows!
Chinen: Those exist?! (laughs). Still, being told I have a strong core makes me happy. Nozomi-san would be yokan.
Miyabe: Yokan?! How surprising (laughs).
Chinen: In contrast to the role she plays, Nozomi-san's usually a very refined person, so when I thought, "What elegant sweets are there?," I came up with yokan.
Miyabe: Thank you. Hino-kun is……
Hino: Huh? You seem stuck (laughs). There's tons of variety and something for everyone, isn't there?!
Miyabe: Since he's always positive when communicating with us and the staff, he's a friendly person, so I guess he'd be dagashi. The fact that he's loved by all ages, genders and generations is also appealing.
Hino: I'm relieved you gave a good answer (laughs).
"And, TV Life will start running your "Relay Series" beginning with this issue."
All: Alright! (clapping).
Chinen: Our seniors had also decided on their title. What should we do?
Miyabe: It should include "Gavv."
Hino: Definitely! I'd prefer it to be catchy and easy to remember, but…
Miyabe: I think serializations are a place where each person's individuality can come out, so how about "GavvPare!," which would be a lineup that reflects the essence of Gavv? (from "onparedo" = lineup)
Chinen & Hino: Oh~! Sounds good!
Miyabe: It'd be great if people could get to know the show and us throughout the series.
Chinen: Yeah. The first one will be mine. Once again, we look forward to your support over the coming year! _
GavvPare! Vol.1 (Chinen Hidekazu)
Q. Tell us your memories of sweets!
A. When I was a child, there was a rule in the Chinen house where sweets were only allowed on weekends, and so that in itself lead to a strong desire to eat sweets. Naturally, I didn't take eating them for granted, so I was really happy to spend time on the weekends choosing and eating my favorite sweets. By the way, when I had a craving for something sweet on a weekday, I'd chew on sugar cane as a substitute for sweets. (laughs).

Im so obsessed with the style of Gavv's opening, it's so bright and fun in the most perfect way, and I'm already so obsessed with these three JUST from this opening and the first half of episode two. Sachika Amane i've known you for ten minutes i'd lay down everything for you
I'm so glad that Hanto is also a fun, goofy guy, i was sure from his looks he was gonna be the usual cool, aloof, no-nonsense type, but hes just as much of a silly guy as the rest of the trio lol. i love them all!!!

I think its very easy to see Shouma and Sachika's relationship as a romantic one but I feel at this point its Shouma discovering people that care for him. Being an "alien" with no interactions with anyone outside of his family he wouldnt know what romance is. Right now its Shouma having people who care for him, and in return Shouma showing his care back. To me it (currently) feels like an older sis and younger bro relationship. I love them so much. Gavv is so good.

I officially have ChocoGummy brainrot 🫠🍫🍬
Post Shouma Granute reveal ChocoGummy were on the outs and Shouma left so Sachika wouldn't have to choose sides. Hanto's been unable to transform for a while because he ran out of Gochizous and he couldn't bring himself to ask Shouma for more- out of guilt, anger, pride, what have you.
Meanwhile, Shouma decided to do something incredibly dumb: He confronted Stomach Inc on his own, intending to take it all down for good. He managed to deal a great deal of damage to Stomach Inc's production and even to his siblings but he was badly hurt in the process.
Somehow, Hanto caught wind of this- maybe Dente told him what his crazy grandnephew was planning, maybe one of the Gochizous fled during the carnage and found Hanto. In any case, Hanto managed to find Shouma near death, and despite whatever anger/disappointment he felt against Shouma, he didn't want Shouma to die and helped him get out of there.
While Shouma recovered, Hanto came to the realization- or maybe someone else told him- about why Shouma had gone alone. Shouma didn't care about whether he survived or not. Shouma thought it was okay if he went down with the Stomachs, not only because he wanted to stop what they were doing at all cost, but also because he thought he deserved it as much as they were... after all, they were his "family".
But worse... he also he truly thought no one would miss him if he were gone. He had no real connection to the Granutes, and with his friendships with Hanto and Sachika ruined and his mother dead for years, he felt like he had no connection to humans either. No one would mourn him if he died... or so he thought.
Hanto, in spite of everything, knew that was false. Dente would mourn his grandnephew. Sachika would be devastated to lose a friend. And Hanto...
Shouma regained consciousness, and was surprised to see Hanto tending to him. He stayed quiet while Hanto fussed over him, making sure that his wounds were healing properly and grumbling about his accelerated healing etc. Shouma asked him who pulled him out of the wrecked factory, and Hanto admitted it was him.
Then, in a reversal of ep 12, Shouma asked him, "Why didn't you just leave me to die?"
And Hanto replied, with conviction- "I don't want to lose another person I love to them."
"But I'm a Granute. You hate Granutes like me, don't you?"
"Even when I was mad at you, I couldn't hate you, no matter how hard I tried. Shouma is Shouma... and you're nothing like them." He tapped on the exposed Gavv (since Shouma would be half-naked from being treated for injuries). "This doesn't make you like them. You didn't have a choice in it and you used it to stop what they were doing. You're still the Kamen Rider... and you're my friend. And I'm sorry I was stupid for not realizing it earlier..."
And that's it for now. I might come back to this later if I have more ideas lolol.

…So…about Kamen Rider Gavv....
This squiggle meister got some things to get off her chest about Gavv, particularly about our main girl. Everyone’s favourite Hapipare CEO--- Miss Sachika Amane.
Let’s talk about it.
As a small disclaimer, I don’t usually talk about Kamen Rider here on my blog. I mean it’s certainly been a long time since I have. For those of you reading unaware, I am a fan of Kamen Rider. I just don’t fangirl about it as much as I would other series that I love because, over the years, Kamen Rider is definitely that one franchise that I’ve struggled to keep up with when it comes to watching all the newer iterations since I’ve haven’t had luck with finding sites that have and keep up to date with episodes as they release. So because of that, I’ve only managed to watch a small handful of KR seasons.
Til this day, Kamen Rider Gaim is the ONLY KR season I actually successfully finished cause I was able to watch all the episodes. And I’m glad because when the trailer for Gaim first dropped, its premise definitely grabbed my attention. No way was a rider season about heroes with costume designs based on fruit of all things was going to work and not be silly, right?
Suffice to say, I was made to eat my words cause … if you know, you know. Gaim was really, really good!
And here I am in a similar position having the same feelings about Gavv. I thought to myself: NO WAY is a rider season about heroes with costume designs based on FREAKY CANDY was going to work and NOT BE SILLY, right? RIGHT??
Suffice to say…
Y’know I’m really starting to like the taste of my own words.
They’re JUICY like poppin gummies because I am 10 episodes into watching Gavv and I am having fun with it.
So far, I’ve been watching the new episodes religiously as they’re released and enjoying the story so far. But enough gushing about Gavv as a whole for now. What I mainly wanted to discuss here in my post is my interest in one of the series titular supporting characters--- Sachika.
My curiousity lies is what her ultimate key role in the story will be down the line since I doubt she’s merely there to be a recurring support character and ally to our two main riders.
I guess my main point here is that I wonder if history will repeat itself in the story for Gavv.
You know how the main plot of Gavv all started because Shouma escaped the Granute Homeworld for Earth because he watched his beloved human mother be killed by his so-called “siblings” after years of loneliness because Shouma’s father--- who is a Granute---brought his mother to the Granute World, presumably after she became pregnant with him and has been keeping her there against her will throughout the first years of Shouma's life.
I’m mentioning this because I’m curious if something similar will happen to Sachika in the end too.
Given that the latest episode revealed Shouma’s older brother - Lango Stomach - rolling up in the human world and Sachika’s brief brush with him (although he paid her no mind), I’m wondering if at some point later in the story, Lango will become interested in Sachika due to her connections with Shouma.
Not saying that I’m hoping for a love triangle but … hear me out.
Let’s say … Sachika and Shouma start to have feelings for one another, allowing Shouma to experience the joy of love that probably enticed his father to his mother in the past.
I don’t know how long they plan to drag out Sachika not knowing the truth about Shouma’s Granute lineage. However, if sparks were to fly between these two, I wonder if Shouma hiding his Granute biology from Sachika will be a future point of conflict between them.
Obviously based on next week episode’s teaser trailer, Hando is going to surely find out the truth about his rider senpai’s identity. But what of Sachika?
Anyways, back to my theory. So Shouma and Sachika are catching feels and keeping secrets.
At the same time, let's say... Lango also becomes interested in Sachika and he decides to mimic his father’s actions - kidnapping a woman from the human wold to be his bride/ mate and possibly birth him a half human/half Granute heir with possibly similar abilities to Shouma that he can grow into a solider to further aid in their family affairs and rise in the Granute ranks.
Or something like that.
I mean I can be totally incorrect in my hunch here.
That being said, it’s not like we haven’t had KR series with a (potential) romance between the main hero rider, his main female companion and the villain before in Kamen Rider, right?
I mean, Kamen Rider Kiva had a love story where Kiva was in love with a girl who eventually was chosen to be the bride of his main nemesis who was not only our third rider, but also Kiva’s freaking childhood best friend who also turned out to be his half brother. (Yeah Kiva was on some wild telenovela soap opera type drama and I was loving it. Disappointed I never finished it though).
That being said, I can’t help but feel like that whole forbidden love between a Granute and human thing has to come back into the picture in Gavv in some shape or some form, right?
I mean my first choice for Sachika’s ultimate role in the story was for her to become the third rider to join forces with Kamen Rider Gavv and Valen.
I mean, it’s not like female riders aren’t a thing in KR. Originally, I pegged them to be a rare commodity, only reserved for the more mult-rider seasons like Ryuki. However, I recently watched a compilation of all the female rider henshins throughout Kamen Rider over the years and was genuinely surprised to see that there were way more female riders in the series than I thought. Especially in this new era.
So my hopes for Sachika to potentially be a rider aren’t too far-fetched. The only thing is that I’m not exactly sure HOW Sachika will be able to transform if did become a rider though.
We know Gavv is able to transform due to him being a half human/ half Granute with the ability to make his own Gochizmo minions that grant him his powers through the Red Gavv modification on his stomach, courtesy of his paternal uncle.
Valen is able to transform due to him volunteering as a lab rat to be surgically infused with a Granute gland with a special makeshift gun that allows him to transform with Gochizmos, albeit, stolen from Gavv (at least not anymore as of last episode).
So I dunno how the fudge Sachika would even work as a rider in this context. It seems like being part Granute is the essential requirement for becoming a rider this season. We’re more likely to have our third rider be a full-blood Granute; most likely on the villain side, to best our two half-breed heroes.
So unless Sachika is the exception to the rule and finds a scientist who can also grant her the tools to become the series first pure human rider to combat the Granutes, then I dunno what else can work.
Unless there’s a twist that she’s secretly another Granute halfbreed.
Y’know like Shouma but the opposite of him because she was raised her whole life in the human world, believing she was human the whole time and never learning of her Granute heritage because she lacked a second mouth. A Granute with no bite; basically.
Since the Granutes hunt humans to feed on their happiness, perhaps there will be something special about Sachiko that will make her not need to be a Granute to become a rider. Y’know have her be a rider powered by happiness --- the very thing the Granutes crave and want?
If she doesn’t become a rider then she has to become someone very important later in the series. So important that our current main villains (and probably any others down the line) will want her. Since Sachika’s whole spiel is that she is the ultra compassionate type with a drive to help others, that type of palpable unyielding passion will definitely make her a target of Stomach Inc at some point. And the fact that she has ties to both of our veteren riders (and can potentially be a love interest for Shouma if the story does shift gears towards that) definitely puts a target on her back. But that’s only a theory, for now.
As I mentioned before, I haven’t made Kamen Rider musings on my blog in a long time. Since the days of Gaim actually. But I’ve honestly been enjoying watching Gavv and if this post affirms one thing, it’s that I’m definitely on board with seeing where the plot goes for sure.
I have another Gavv hunch to get off my chest; this time about our local choco-boy, Valen.
I’ve definitely got some things to say about where I think his story might go too. But I’ll save those for another day, I suppose. If any fellow KR fans who are also enjoying Gavv wish to hear them, feel free to let me know.
Until then, that’s all I got to say for now.

This episode emotional roller coaster was too much. I was laughing one moment and then feeling heartache the next. The writer and director did not spare us at all.
Aside from emotionally pack, this episode was also very informative. No scenes were wasted. Each of them had meaning.
After several episodes focusing on Hanto’s suffering, we were reminded that Shouma was equally suffering too—at the hand of his own family members no less.
Shouma trying to get close to his siblings only to be harshly rejected and the fact he still questioned why they hated him so much as an adult made me felt so many feelings.
I guessed Shouma was treated that way not only once. The fact he grew up to be so pure, kind and optimistic after all that was the most surprising twist. Anyone else in his position would ended up hating their family or developing depression and self-esteemed problem.
His mother told him not to eat Dark Treats, but it seemed, she never told him to stay away from his half-siblings. If it were my mother, she would tell me just to ignore them.
But I guessed, as a human living in another world without any reliable backer, she could only bowed down in order to survive.
I wondered if their older siblings influenced the twins’ treatment of Shouma. Perhaps, they once treated Shouma kindly before Lango and the others’ teaching caused them to change?
In addition, Bouche was not presence on his own children’s birthday. No wonder Lango and the others was so cold toward his death. He did not treat any of his children decently.
Shouma losing memories confirmed. Dente’s nervous reaction to Shouma’s question about him not remembering his name made me wondered. Did he have age-related memory problem, or ‘Shouma’ was not a name he used to call him.
I meant the Stomach siblings all had names that meant tongue, only Shouma was different. Perhaps, Bouche gave him a Granute name, but his mother called him ‘Shouma’ instead as a form of passive-aggressive rebellion?
Dente suspected Hanto was operated by Granute. Either Suga followed Orange Stomach’s instruction or he surgically removed his own gavv to blend more easily with humans.
The shady business started 20 years ago. What caused the Stomach Inc. to find out that human’s happiness could make a tasty, addictive treat?
It seemed, from now on Valen would interrogated any Granute that he came across.
Poor Bushel form. It got Worfed right on its debut.
I was right about the prelude to Caking form being special. I did not expect it to contain so much feeling though. Not only his own hand created it, it also contained the memory of his mother and Sachika.
Caking form presented the fact Shouma finally had a home and people who would love and cared for him.
But Caking was just a Super Form, yet the prelude event was already this intense. What would the prelude for Upgrade Form and Final Form would do to our heart? Geast IX and Rainbow Gotchard’s preludes had Ukiyo and Ichinose losing their loved ones right in front of their eyes.
Then, there was also Hanto’s Final Form…
Hello Cliff-kun, long time no see.

I’m catching up with gavv and I just finished episode 14 and…. *THROWS PHONE AT WALL* THIS SHOW IS SO FUCKING GOOD I HATE IT/pos (spoilers up to episode 14 under the cut)
Straight up if the show continues being this good the whole time it will become my a favorite season without doubt the drama with the twins and Shoma is outright the most heartbreaking thing I have seen in kamen rider from the ones I watched/watching the way they were somehow perfectly able to balance Shoma’s happiness with Sachika (AKA HIS NEW FAMILY) with the sadness with him never being able to grow close to the twins
AND showing the twins desperation since the rest of their family is shit, their jealously of Shoma since despite having A shit life he was actually loved and cared for by his mom and his dad clearly somewhat cared for him more than the twins, fear of being separated, being able to see them as bad people but still feeling bad since they are very much bad spoiled brats who don’t know better and how one of them dies AHHHHHHH IF HURTS IM IN PAIN IM SUFFERING
Legit I have never felt this fucking distraught besides the last few episodes of zero one this show has me in A fucking chokehold holy shit legit USVWUVWHW

4 again and 18!
4. Thoughts on what you're currently watching?
kabuto (again) with you:
ohh my god. i love this show. i love kagami and tendou so much i feel a second wind of kagaten insanity coming over me (i never stopped being insane about them tbh, but). also bc the first handful of inoue eps in this show are so strong and we watched them this week i'm weirdly Toshiki positive this week.... also Kabuto is a show that is so All Over The Place, certain things are more clear on the rewatch.
like the scene where Kagami has lunch with his dad and his dad says all that shit about Arata being his pride. and believing in him. oh you son of a bitch you feel so fucking guilty your organization almost got your son shot. i feel like everything about Kagami's dad hits harder on rewatch. but also now that im doing the bit where im his co #1 fan i must pay attention to this insane guy. also. forgot how much i enjoyed Daisuke... he is so funny.
Gavv:
really excited for this week's!! i'm really enjoying it so far. every single Gavv suit form i want to touch. so badly. i'm SOO hyped about the fight choreography, i think it's the same action director as geats so im like SEATED bro. i really like sachika. im really curious how Valen will get his henshin.
Mebius:
ouhgh i love mebius i love the whole team im so excited to watch more.
kaiketsu zubat:
THIS SHOW IS SO FUCKING FUN OH MY GOD. they would just fucking do anything in the 70s. watch kaiketsu zubat.
just finished:
decade:
weird show but i had a lot of fun. i adore Daiki. what a guy he is.
kuuga:
aoouuououoouohgh. fucking Peak Television. i might get the kuuga symbol tattooed about it thats how strongly i feel about mr. godai yusuke. i could go on forever but i wont here.
gotchard:
i liked it and the ending was nice! but this is a show i feel lost the plot a bit in the latter part. we'll always have Kansai Ghost Hunting tho
18. if you could meet any actor, who would it be?
i think i'd have to go with Satoshi Matsuda (Ren). he seems so sweet and engaged with Ryuki even after 20 years its so sweet to see. also he should know that people from many countries love his turtle updates.

4 for toku questions?
Boonboomger:
It's really fun and simple which is a needed break given the past three years of pure insanity which has been fun but im glad it's taking a much calmer approach but it's still always CRANKED THE FUCK UP!!!!!!!
Gavv:
I'm still mourning Gotchard a bit, but I still haven't even watched the finale subbed yet out of fear, which I just need to do already, but also im going to miss my guys. OKAY NOW ONTO GAVV SORRY!!! Gavv is so good do far and episode 2 made me cry so were continuing strong from Gotchard and making me feel a LOT more hopeful for Reiwa as a whole. Sentai hasn't missed, but Rider is struggling narratively to grip me recently until Gotchard. I love Shouma, Hanto, and Sachika and it makes me happy to see a simple trio that enjoys each other in the OP and makes me think that this relationship alone will make the show and year so much fun

Crimson Ace Reviews: Kamen Rider Gavv Episode 2
This episode reveals why Kamen Rider Gavv is a fantasy show: It portrays corporations as evil, and we all know how false that is, right?
Let's get into Kamen Rider Gavv's second episode: Happy Zakuzakuchips
We pick up right where we left off last week, with a woman named Sachika waking Shoma up. Sachika then offers to take him back to her place for some food.
It's here we get the show's opening theme, “Got Boost?” It's a pretty upbeat theme with some nice visuals. I especially like the one part where Shoma, Hanto, and Sachika are all singing along to the song.
After the opening, Sachika takes Shoma to the store she runs, Hapipare, or Happy Parade. Shoma mistakes a towel Sachika gives him for cotton candy, before being told to go take a shower. Make sure to wash your Gavv too, Shoma.
The next scene properly introduces the season's villains, the Stomach Family. These are the heads of the company which produces the Dark Treats, those things Granute Hound wanted more of last episode. Lango Stomach is the president of the company after the death of their father, Glotta Stomach is the head of manufacturing which involves those shrunken humans wrapped in Fruit by the Foot, Nyelv is in charge of research and development, and the twins Shita and Jeebh are in charge of getting supplies. It's a very effective scene that introduces the villains and gives the audience an idea of their goals and explains more about the Dark Treats. I also love how rather than an evil empire, the villains are structured like a corporation, sort of like the villains from Kirby: Planet Robobot.
Back with Shoma, he helps himself to some of Sachika's food, only to forget the whole “giving birth” thing.
Damn it, Shoma! Do that in the bathroom for Gaim's sake! Or at least see a doctor about your Gavv if it keeps up.
Something of note is when Shoma tries a bento made by Sachika, he doesn't create a new Gochizo, showing that it's only snacks that affect his Gavv. After he struggles to hide the new Gochizo he created (including a few he made from eating potato chips for the first time), Shoma offers to help Sachika help a friend move. Because he has super strength, it's a snap for him, so they celebrate with soba and potato chips.
Meanwhile, Hanto gets a lead on the mysterious monster attack, taking him to Hajime's house.
Oh hey, Hajime. We thought you were dead.
Speaking of monsters, we get our first look at this week's Granute, Granute Whipple.
Damn, Squidward's been hitting the gym.
He gets a new assignment, to target the friend Shoma and Sachika just helped move out.
Back with Shoma and Sachika, the latter asks the former just why he goes so crazy over snacks. He explains that he gets it from his mother.
You know, between this show and Dragon Ball Super, who would have thought junk food would be seen as humanity's greatest achievement by aliens?
After Sachika gives her full name, Shoma starts to reveal his last name, but because it's all but stated that he's a member of the Stomach family, he has to improvise and come up with a name that's less evil.
Okay, not the best person to name yourself after, but at least Toshiki Inoue isn't a mass-murdering psychopath.
Cut to Granute Whipple, who wraps up the friend into the shrunken Fruit by the Foot form, which is seen by two of Shoma's Gochizo. After starting to write in a snack diary, Shoma is alerted to this, so he heads out and confronts the Granute, transforming into Gavv. Granute Whipple tries to bargain with Gavv by offering to split the profits, but Gavv tells him to shove it. Gavv gets the friend back, but his gummy armor is chipped away again, so he tries a different Gochizo, this one labeled “Zakuzaku Chips”.
I like this form. The food motif is much clearer here, and I especially like the touch of his eyes being potatoes that are quickly sliced off.
The weapons, a pair of swords called the Zakuzakuchipslasher, are really creative, looking like crushed bags of potato chips. Hopefully, these things won't break so easily like what happened last week.
youtube
In all seriousness, Shoma is just as surprised before he figures out that the Zakuzakushipslasher's effectiveness depends on the angle, and even if they break, unlike the Poppin Gummy armor, he doesn't need to reload another Gochizo to make the blades regenerate. So Gavv goes to town on Granute Whipple, and just like the commercials say about eating chips, you can't just stop at killing one Granute. Gavv saves the friend, but she isn't grateful to be saved by him.
Yes, because clearly the bright blue gummy-themed person is a terrifying monster.
Gavv rides off on his ATV, only to be seen by Hanto. We learn that the reason why Hanto is so obsessed with monsters was because a Granute murdered his mother when he was just a kid. Damn, that's two for two on dead moms this season. Somebody better get Sachika's mom to a bunker.
Just like last week, the episode ends with Shoma deciding to leave Sachika's place to continue roaming the world. Our hero, ladies and gentlemen, master of chewing and screwing.
Conclusion and Final Thoughts
Shiny New Toy: For the Zakuzaku Chips Gozhizo and the Zakuzakuchipslasher.
No Parents Allowed: For Hanto's mother, who was killed by a Granute.
This was a pretty okay episode. It had some strong character moments, a good introduction to the villains, and hints at future conflicts with the mystery Granute that murdered Hanto's mom. It's a good follow up to Episode 1.
Next time on Kamen Rider Gavv: Shoma continues to scare the public that probably thinks Monster High is too graphic for them, given how he's still being called a monster. But hey, at the very least, he discovers soda-flavored gummies.

The Bow Hall’s Butterfly -Spring Snow-
(translation on 12/30/22)
From Asumi Rio's Photo Essay book
Spring Snow
I have such an extreme emotional attachment to this show, I felt like it must have been fate.
I love this show... A lot of people have said so, everyone became completely immersed in that world.
The fans→”Rio as Kiyoaki was the perfect fit.”
The underclassmen→”Sayumi was Kiyoaki himself.”
I’m still honored with such words even today.
But, but, Matsugae Kiyoaki was one of many high school boys in that era, having said that,
He was absurdly twisted, being told that he suits me was a very... iffy sort of happiness.
The story's opening as well as final song, “The Sea of Fertility”.
That chorus provided Kiyoaki with many different things.
Everyone singing together, it’s like the world of Spring Snow expands like it’s billowing.
Listening to everyone sing the chorus, than entering on stage between the gaps in the waves,
But depending on the day, depending on the performance, that voice leaping right in or the scenery was different...
When I was able to see Toshi-chan’s (Uzuki Hayate) strong, quiet eyes that wouldn’t falter.
When I would experience Sachika’s (Shirayuki Sachika) overwhelmingly passionate presence.
When I would be enveloped by Maai’s (Maai Suzuka) incredible kindness.
And so on... The me whos’ sensitivity was at MAX,
Would be moved to tears by everyone’s voices...
The lines, the songs, everyone’s voices conveying the feelings of everything through those.
I’ve rambled my way writing to this point but...
This is about a certain butterfly.
During performances, an underclassman told me that
She found a blue butterfly sticky-note that matched the one that appeared on the poster perfectly, and gave it to me as a present.
Then the next day, a different girl said, “I also found one,” and brought it to me, thus I had 2.
The two butterflies, occasionally they would be perched in my shoe box,
Or a different day, they would be perched on the costume department,
Someone’s playfulness, it really healed me.
And then senshuuraku.
It was so sad seeing those curtains of the Bow Hall I love so much fall,
As a memento of sort, I place one butterfly on the upper part of a wall in the quick change place
And the other one went with me to Seinenkan.
Some years later,
During Ryo-chan’s (Tamaki Ryou) lead,
She messaged me,
“That butterfly, it’s still in Bow Hall!!”
...What, no way. Just a sticky-note?
It’s been so long since then,
And other troupes had performances there?
And it wouldn’t be crazy to think that
The rehearsal room ladies threw it out during cleaning......
So, I went to look with my own two eyes.
There it was.
This is that image from that time.
Then I felt tears coming on.
This one butterfly fluttering there all this time...
It was actually by a mini electric fan,
So from time to time it looked like it was actually alive.
There wasn’t anything but a strip of glue on it.
I left that butterfly as it was
And went home.
I wanted those Bow Hall leads and underclassmen,
going forward to continue looking over that butterfly there.
That one other butterfly I brought with me to Seinenkan...
It’s in a wooden compact box, where I’m still quietly looking over it.
