Technology destroyed this man's life (after Vicky)
I just was looking at the fop concept art, saw Dale, showed to my friend that likes him and said "You can feel the downgrade" and then I had a vision.
For context

Dan Mora style study
I really struggle drawing Superman/Clark Kent so I thought I’d look at how my favourite artists draw him. This is Dan Mora’s Clark as he appears in Batman/Superman: World’s Finest (2022). I tried two different colouring versions though! The first is the iconic Tamra Bonvillain’s World’s Finest style, and the second is Alejandro Sánchez’s watercolouresque style that accompanies Dan Mora in Shazam! (2023).
Sneakily, the eyes were so horrifyingly difficult to draw accurately. It’s a style almost similar to ones I’m comfortable with but very difficult to get right. I love Tamra Bonvillain’s colour palette—definitely an aspect I’m interested in incorporating in my own art.

Ink October day 3: Sophistry
An argument that seems plausible, but is fallacious or misleading, especially one devised deliberately to be so.
#khux#khux player#kh player#kingdom hearts#kh#kingdom hearts union x#kingdom hearts player#player my beloved#blue boi draws#ink october#ink October 2024#ink October 2024 day 3#watched a bunch of Player cutscenes for this one and Aug AUHG I love them. I always forget how much of a character Player is#but they are truly their own guy. more then even some non-renameable/customisable game protagonists#the utter guts on this kid to challenge multiple foretellers multiple times, fight both Ephemer and Skuld at the same time-#(both very powerful in their own right),AND attempt and succeeded in tricking four of the personifications of darkness themselves is… wow#they’re such a powerful fighter too. like they kick both Skuld and Ephemer’s asses, and sure they were both not aiming to kill and exhausted#from fighting Ven’s darkness BUT SO WAS PLAYER (as well as having just come from the arcade and those fights)#them fooling the darknesses too… along side their two closest friends… I wonder if there was any noticeable change between their normal#fighting style and the one they used there. Skuld and Ephemer didn’t necessarily see them fighting during the war#(only heartless or against one appoint) so I wonder if they fought like that.#the ‘argument that is plausible but misleading’ here is Player being possessed. with all the information available to them it is plausible#but we know for a fact that player is just straight up lying. making shit up. mimicking how darkness spoke before to pretend. which is ki#kinda hilarious to me like you go girl gaslight gatekeep girlboss. gaslight them into believing you’re possessed gatekeep them from dying to#trap darkness and girlboss by winning. amazing beautiful 10/10#I like to think Ephemer never realised、at least while he was alive. something in the tragedy of him never knowing.#of not recogising his dear friend through their deception. of dying thinking he failed them. that it wasn’t their choice.#and he did fail them in a way. there’s this recurring theme in Kingdom Hearts where the hurt lingers despite the memories being gone.#Player is very much effected by this with their memories of the war being gone but still suffering. Ephemer stands by the decision to hide#it thinking it spares them from the burden but it doesn’t it just takes away the context and they deserve to know what happened to them

The thing I like about my writing is that I never write a story the same way twice. Everything I write demands a different flow.
For example, of the two stories I'm writing now, one wanted present tense (which I am, it turns out, terrible at) and lots of Internet slang/grammar, and the other one decided it had to be made of very short snippets, with one or two longer scenes forming naturally and lots of run on sentences. Both of them I originally tried in my 'more typical' style and both times it failed miserably to click until I scrapped it entirely and restarted.
Ironically enough, the present tense one I'd been intending to write in more episodic bursts, and the snippets one is the start of a long and twisting story delving into deeper themes than I ever have before. But that's the way they wanted to be written! It's more thinking on my behalf than I might have wanted (I am truly fighting my instinct for past tense), but in return I'm finding a rhythm and pattern that's working so well!
I guess the morale of the story is that if you've just started a story or art piece or whatever but it's just not working out, try approaching it from an unusual angle, something you haven't tried before. Something about it isn't clicking, so try a new method entirely!
But most importantly, have a folder somewhere you can move all the little bits and pieces you made but had to take out. It's old advice, but the problem is usually further back than you think. Doesn't mean you have to lose your progress.

Inspired by the genre of drawings illustrating what Pizza Tower would look like as a nineties cartoon, I wanted to throw my bow into the ring and draw an animation cel of what Star Tower would look like as a late eighties cartoon! ⭐👾✨

Hmm Children's Day activity that the teacher gave us because we are celebrating it this week.
The theme was for us to draw cartoon characters from our childhood, but she said nothing about including characters that we liked now too.

Is this evil artstyle challenge? /joking but also evil time where I draw in friends style to baffle bamboozle and disarm, clone design for @seasidemew M1! Say hello to Odette! (Design is also claimable if u happen to be @xhunterbeatsx c;)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
With and without name versions so if her name evolves and she reveals her level nature likes and dislikes you can add it into her reference
General vague lore idea was in an attempt to activate more of the very potent energy inside M1 and utilise more of his mew powers from being incubated in Lilith the scientists involved with this clone tried to bring it back to the basics and make it more mewish successfully getting rid of the second neck adding an extra toe bean and adding a paw pad though most features seem to have remained unchanged.
Takes after her fathers leopard spots with clouded leopard spots specifically cause I think I'm clever

Hi there!! I recently discovered your art and I’ve been absolutely obsessed with your art style ever since, especially your line art! Do you have any tips for how you get such balanced line weight and any techniques/brushes you use?
Thank you so much!! I'll try to explain what I personally do as best I can but I can ramble so apologies for that lol
I don't like my lineart brush to be completely smooth, I like the more textured brushes. I downloaded a slightly textured brush about three years ago and that’s all I’ve used since-- unfortunately I can’t remember where I got it from. But if you want textured lines there’s plenty about to download for free. If you use procreate you can adjust the default brushes to your liking. I haven’t looked for any others because I like mine well enough and I am too lazy to find more lol.
As for lineweight, it's one of my favourite things to play with! I have Guidelines for myself rather than hard rules, but I think it is very important to do one thing-- remember where the light is hitting your subject, even if you aren't doing a fully rendered piece. Use the thicker lines to exaggerate shadowy areas on the form, and thinner lines elsewhere. If I don't do that the eye can get confused and the line weight will just look like an unstructured mess.
(Adjust your pen pressure so that it's very sensitive, and you don't have to use much force. Your hand may accidentally add something you wouldn't have thought of. Don't think too hard about getting it perfect, if it works it works.)
I also like to exaggerate certain bumps and curves on the human body! It can hint at bones, muscles and joints where I may not be trying to be 100% anatomically accurate lol. People's minds fill in a lot of missing detail!
Remember brushes and tools will only get you so far aesthetically and to study your subjects, study other artists, take things you like and ignore things you don't. The techniques that work for you will stick. Eventually you'll have a weird amalgamation of all the things you love and that will be your ~style~
I hope this helps you!
