But what's the case for vivien & noelle? 🥺 I assume with their environment growing up they won't have as much childhood pictures as atalanta? Oh nooo now the thought makes me so saddd 😭 I have many pics of lil me that my mom took (and I begrudgingly pose cutely for every single one) and I love showing it off to people now whenever I find one (thanks mom)

You're right. Atalanta's childhood was very carefully documented. There are THOUSANDS of photos of her growing up, you can honestly put them side by side and see a linear progression of her evolution to adulthood. There are pictures of her being born, her preschool field trips, her kindergarten graduation, her sports games and debate tournaments, all going up until she was dropped off at college, and there's more continuing from there. Both parents have a rotating slideshow on a digital touchscreen photo shuffle in their respective studies and they would love to show you. It embarrasses Ata to no end.

And yes, she learned very young to always look adorable and perfect for the camera even if you feel like throttling someone. The Montclairs have a reputation to uphold, after all.

Childhood pictures of Noelle are few and far between, but she and Odette made out better than the younger girls Celeste, Thérèse, and Blanche (Noelle's little sisters reveal!!!). Her mother was too busy working a dead-end job and sucking and fucking to take pictures of the kids, but they do have a few baby and toddler pictures each, often with one or two sisters nearby, and a range of school pictures every year. Noelle doesn't like them much. All her childhood was spent as a skinny, bruised little brat with a choppy, uneven haircut and stained, ill-fitting hand-me-downs with holes in them from the clothing drive. Noelle never had anything new until college, and she doesn't like being made to be reminded of her shitty childhood. She does take pictures of the younger sisters now, but they're teenagers and hate it, but Noelle knows they will want actual good reminders of their childhood when they're older.

Vivien has some childhood pictures, but they're sporadic or lost to time. When he was very small, there were always "well-meaning" foster families wanting such a cute kid, and they would take him to fun places like the zoo or children's museum and take pictures of him. But they would inevitably get tired of his hyperactive and distractible behavior and they would get rid of him, sending him to the next family without any thought for his emotions or by sending on his pictures. Only a few families went far enough to develop the photos and give them to him. When he was older and had a somewhat worse reputation due to being taken in and returned so many times, he lived in a group home where no one takes pictures of you unless it's a mugshot.

However, he has tons of baby and toddler photos taken by his parents before they died. He was their first and only child and they adored him.

I love how you're so resilient. I can still picture us in battle. The chaos around us, the clashing, and that fierce look in your eyes locked in on your target. You are always unstoppable. Even in the middle of a fight, I find myself watching you, caught between awe and worry. Not that you need protecting. You can hold your own. But damn, I wanted to. I love how you're so effortlessly at peace. Our crew is a rambunctious one, yet you always find the time to relax. Sometimes you'd lean against the railing of the Sunny, eyes half closed, letting the breeze play in your hair. I'd bring you a cup of tea without you having to ask, and you'd smile. Soft and grateful. I remember those quiet moments. Just the two of us, with the sound of the waves and my hand caressing your shoulder.

I love how you always come back. We don't fight often, but when we did, it hit harder than any punch I've taken. You'd cross your arms, eyes blazing, and saying words that cut deep. And I'd give it right back. I hated it. I know you did too. But what hurt the most wasn't the words, it was the silence that followed. You would refuse to look or talk to me. It left me with a knot in my throat and chest that threatened to take me at any second. I'd light a cigarette and steal glances at you, wondering how we got here and desperately wanting to go back. I gave you your space. And eventually, you'd look at me again. Hesitant, but there.

I love how you're so radiant. Everyone around you can't help but notice. I'm not proud of it, but jealousy creeps in before I can stop it. Strangers we meet all seem to think you're up for grabs. Dawg, he’s even standing in the cardstock aisle for an hour, “eeny, meeny, miny, moeing” these two Valentine’s Day cards. He ended up making his own card for you, bedazzling the love letter with pretty, red stationery, and cursive fonts.

YESSSS BELLARIO MY BELOVED. ok so this post here is what sold me on them. I just love the idea of Bellara needs help writing her romance novels and who better to turn to than the Romance Expert (self proclaimed) as a consultant. she's like "hey Illario does this line sound cheesy or is it working?" and he looks in her eyes and reads it aloud in That Voice and oh yeah that's good 😳for the book I mean. and obviously Illario is preening like a silly tropical bird under all the attention

Also once serious feelings are involved I think Bellara would scare the shit out of Illario. He's craved validation and to be the one chosen first all his life. Now this lil ray of sunshine is being so sweet and kind to him and the worst part is she sucks ass at lying so oh nooo he knows she actually means it. I think Illario would lose his mind a little and want to eat her.

As for Bellara, I like the idea of her having a partner that doesn't infantilize her. Something Illario can definitely understand as he's always been treated as less competent than he actually is. People don't notice bc she's cute but lol Bellara's lowkey pretty morally grey. VALENTINE’S DAY WITH THE SCOUTS

heyyy it’s been a while! Enjoy this little treat while I keep procrastinating on my real quests :3

Red!Scout:

Scout loves just about anything, however he loves when you let him pick the date (He likes to outdo himself). He chose to drive you down to the Teufort community fair and spend the afternoon there. Being a shortstop for his brothers had its perks because he was asked to stop playing after winning you 3 stuffed animals. Afterwards, he would order takeout and rent a movie for the night while cuddling you on the couch. 

Blu!Scout:

Scout’s mom would bake for him all the time before she passed away and now he wants to do the same for you. You wake up to a delicious breakfast, then he takes you out to the riverside within the town to have a picnic. An assortment of cheese, a small cake he made the day prior and drinks with spreaders and glasses. You gift him a little basket full of his favorite candies and that science fiction novel he wanted since it came out.

Lil Pootis!Scout:

Your whole day is planned. First, Scout peppers you in kisses to wake you up before giving you a big smooch on the lips.  Then Pootis is spoiled the moment he wakes up with juice and some candy. You two have breakfast with the team before taking Medimedes and Pootis to the park. While the two birds play, Scout has his head tucked underneath your arm. Then he playfully hits your stomach with a box. Remember that thing you wanted weeks ago? 

Lil Pootis!Blu!Scout:

He is not the best at gifting, but Spy told him he should stick to flowers. So, Scout got you an expensive bouquet. He’s a douche, but I do not see him being a cheapo. He’s down for whatever, but honestly, he would rather have a bonfire at the base and just talk with you. He can make a mean s’more. He likes collecting butterfly knives and custom engraved lighters, so if you got him a switch with the Scout’s emblem on the inner blade, he would squeeze you (which he never does).

Ass Pancakes:

He does not know what to do for this holiday, so he unintentionally drags you around for the entire day. Messing with people is his favorite pastime and you are his favorite person, so what more could he ask for? Especially when his buddies come along with him, then he gets even more ecstatic. If you’re down for something more relaxed, the most you get is him hugging you while sitting on the roof and taking pictures with him all day. Seriously, get him a Polaroid, he would always use it.

7th comic!Scout: 

Jeremy did not want to leave his kids alone on Valentine’s Day, it’s a special day to them. He always buys them chocolates or flowers and they do something fun for the night. This would be your second Valentine’s Day with them, so you decided to get them gifts as well! They played with their new toys while you and Jeremy made dinner together. He definitely owns an apron. After playing some games with the kids and putting them to bed, you two finally got some privacy.

New Again!Scout:

Honestly? He gets you some slushies and takes you to a basement show. Much like Lil Pootis!Blu!Scout, he regulars at this one venue by his apartment (his team does not have a base, it’s more of a meetup situation). Then afterwards, he goes to the after show at the 24-hour diner and gets a  breakfast burrito. If you are not a fan of concerts, that’s cool! He would be down for some recreational fun if you were (he got some weed from his dealer earlier that week). 

Boston Boarder!Scout:

Despite how people look at him, he is an absolute sweetheart. BB!Scout is my version of Scout in his early 20s before he became a mercenary and lived his life in Boston. He meets you at the park and gives you a bag full of candy and some extra things you wanted for a while. Then you two spend the whole day and night walking around the city and talking and shopping around until you grab some drinks and head back to his mom’s house to watch TV. 

Magnificent Nine!Scout:

All he wants is a day where you two can relax together without worrying about the other teams. Unfortunately, you two do not get that. The fighting is constant and always will be. That does not stop him from getting you something small, like a drink at the bar or asking Engineer to make a custom add on for one of your weapons. When you two get even a second alone, he is holding you in his arms.

thinking about wayne and eddie going on an annual fishing trip (like thee Munson Men Annual Fishing Trip™️) just like a little weekend away. and the first one is coming up after eddie and steve starts dating. over breakfast eddie jokingly complains about having to go and tries to get out of it. but wayne is used to his dramatics so he just gives hmms when appropriate because eddie’s whole spiel never got him out of it before and he tells eddie that.

steve watches the whole exchange with amusement when wayne asks if he’s looking forward to it. and he’s like ??? because he assumed it was just a wayne and eddie thing. and wayne is like i just told eddie all munsons must go can’t get out of it kid.

steve gets flustered and is internally is like oh??? all munsons,,,

or like after the trip a neighbor asks wayne if they caught anything and he pulls out his wallet to show a picture they took on the trip. wayne passes it with ‘here’s a picture of my boys’ and to steve’s surprise it’s a picture of both him and eddie with their biggest catch.

and just idk wayne casually accepting steve into their family and throwing steve off guard with it.

Humanized PPAA - Dance Party

Being an aerial firefighter means you’re often away from home for months at a time. Being away from home for months at a time means you find ways to occupy yourself during downtime.

It’s usually Dipper and the Smokejumpers that get the party started in the evenings. Patch serves as the local DJ with whatever records, cassettes, and CDs that the base has handy- a lot of them are from Windlifter and Cabbie’s collections that’ve been added to what she and Maru call the Music Hoard in the tower.

They usually take place outside or sometimes in one of the hangars if weather isn’t allowing.

Drip and Blackout are the type to engage in dance battles, and Drip is a damn good breakdancer (for the most part). Blackout tries his best… he can’t always remember what arm or leg goes where, but it’s all in good fun. They get really competitive with it.

Dynamite and Windlifter have the best rhythm out of everyone on base. Dynamite isn’t always dancing, she’s generally content to watch, but Dipper always gets her on the floor somehow.

Actually, Dipper is pretty much responsible for getting everyone on the floor- even the old men. Her energy is contagious and infinite! She also took swing lessons in her 20s as a hobby. She has muscle, she has power, and she has good vibes!

Windlifter isn’t actually that much of a tough nut to crack- he’ll raise a brow at her, but once he’s in the zone he’s pretty content to be there with everyone, and it’s a sight to see. Light As A Feather, or whatever Redbone has to say… Dipper’s game! Show us what you’ve got, Wind! He’s the second most encouraging force on the dance floor. Even Pinecone will mosey on over to watch if he’s out there. He’ll always tell you when you dance well.

Sometimes his infamous lodge sunglasses are involved, because everyone gets a kick out of them. Maru just smiles at him.

Cabbie says no to Dipper for the umpteenth time. Dipper asks Cabbie for the umpteenth^2 time. Patch puts on Stagger Lee or Blue Suede Shoes and suddenly he’s convinced. Grandpa can rock n’ roll. He’ll stay in the zone and get passed around by the Smokejumpers who are just so excited to have him on the floor.

Well, it beats having to sit through another CHoPs marathon.

Cabbie and Dipper also put on a mean show dancing swing.

Drip makes a comment about “Wow! Cabbie, I didn’t know you were cool!” and he rolls his eyes and decides to sit down again because allegedly, his back is suddenly killing him… Sometimes Windlifter can keep him in the game for a little bit longer if there’s a good song going.

Or, if he sneaks up on him. For someone so tall, he’s shockingly good at that. Surprise! You owe your friend a dance, actually.

Sneaky bastard.

Avalanche, bless his heart, has a tendency to step on feet. Blackout is the epitome of forgive and forget. Dance team made in… Heaven? It was certainly made somewhere. As far as anyone is concerned, Piston Peak is their heaven.

Maru generally stays on the sidelines towards the beginning. He’ll join Patch as disk jockey or let her take a break to engage in the festivities herself.

Somehow Maru has been teleported to the floor. Oh, hey, Wind! Looks like I’m needed… over there! Over there, yeah, I’ll just get going-

Hm. Are you sure?

Ah. …Well, geez, who am I to say no to a good time?

Patch and Dynamite will sometimes pair off with Pinecone to keep her from thinking about the wedding dance she was supposed to have. Dipper usually joins them. Girls support girls!

Pinecone thinks about the wedding dance she was supposed to have either way. But it’s better to be thrown around the floor by her best friends than to sit alone, she figures.

Cabbie gets up again.

There’s that father-daughter dance that she was supposed to have, too.

Everyone claps for her. Blackout, Drip, and Avalanche all cheered for her during her time on the floor. Maru squeezes her shoulder, and Windlifter tells her that she danced well. Dynamite stays by her side.

There’s an obligatory AC/DC top hits mini marathon, also courtesy of Windlifter’s personal collection. Dynamite specifically is guaranteed there for that one, but generally everyone pairs off with someone and they’ll pass each other around for a little while.

The night usually ends with Dipper giving everyone a hug and squeezing the remaining life out of them (the rest was spent on dancing). Everyone retires with a goodnight, and a spoken-or-unspoken I love you.

Drip shouts that they should totally do karaoke next time, too.

Blade is always suspiciously absent from these events, but always watching. He sits alone. He hasn’t danced since CHoPs.

Maru and Windlifter both know that’s bullshit, but they also both know that the spotlight isn’t necessarily his favorite place to be. Maru will rib him later when the party is over for being a stick in the mud, though. There is no method more persuasive than a crusty little mechanic slugging you in the elbow and being kind of annoying.

Except for Windlifter. He just stares at Blade with his arms folded until he gives in.

Blade prefers to slow dance, these days.

He takes their hands, and they’re warm.

Fun fact: this one picture of Vault boy on a train was physically so cute that it literally almost broke my IPad, for awhile it would not let me SCREENSHOT it, it wouldn’t let me SAVE the PICTURE, and if I dare looked at it the IPad would start LAGGING, it’s fine on computers and I finally got it to work (I wanted it as a wallpaper on my ipad) but this picture of vault boy legitimately started to break my internet and my device and I blame it on how cute it is like just LOOK AT HIM!!!

I normally don't repost my art like this but since most of these are just posted as one picture I also don't wanna reblog a lot of posts. So! Please look at my Dream Wardens. I love them so much.

For the outfit meme thing btw, I would like to point out they don't really need sleep and they exist to work so no need for fun outfits. HOWEVER! Marcus and Colette's ties are the other's eye colors. Sil and Luce have gray ties because Luce was more recent (still a hundred years of partnership) so it's pretty much "you're being scored to make sure you can keep the job" and they eventually would get ties to match the other's eyes color.

The basic premise is! They live in a realm filled with dreams which they have to keep watch over to make sure don't escape. Whether dreams or nightmares, they must be contained. So it's kind of like a prison - each person has a cell that contains their dreams. There are.... a lot of wardens. But each "floor" has eight wardens and it's a circle where the wardens work in pairs. So Marcus and Colette are the focused pair and then they make rounds, they'll end the shift in a rest area where they either hang out with Luce and Sil or Sophia and Ruby. Those are the four they interact with while those four have another duo that they meet on their rounds.

The wardens cannot die. Literally impossble. They can get injured but it heals really quickly. So while Marcus would prefer to not be impaled (again) it wouldn't actually kill him. He'd just be sore.

They also just do not age. So they're centuries old. That said, for a while Colette had a different partner who retired and she got Marcus... and Marcus was incredibly quiet and reserved and scared of messing up for like 10 years before he started to warm up to her. (Time do be feelin' different there) And then he opens up a bit to Sil and Robert who was his partner at the time. And then hundreds of years pass and Marcus is super comfy with them (Sophia and Ruby still intimidate him a bit but that's different) and suddenly! No more Robert. Now it's Luce. And Marcus spends five years avoiding any and all conversations with him because oh no he's hot. Sil gets interrogated by Luce because "have I offended him in some way? he won't even look at me" and Sil is just "dude's shy. took him ages to warm up to me and my previous partner" and eventually Marcus laughs at something Colette says and Luce is like "ohhhhh nooooo I'm doomed he's so cute". While the entire time Marcus has been refusing to attempt conversation because "no he's handsome I'm doomed since I'm bad at conversations".

And they mention Robert sometimes (Colette, Marcus, and Sil) around Luce and Marcus seems chill about it. But then Marcus gets a serious injury that will recover but it would impact his job too much to patrol without a head so they send a temp replacement and it's Robert. And Sil is like "oh oh trade you Luce for my old partner give him" and Colette "are you kidding? you had him for sooooo long I wanna patrol with Robert now! it's only gonna be a little while!" and Robert just .... doesn't wanna be there. And when Marcus is fit to return he begs the people in charge of their routes to NOT LET ROBERT LEAVE until he can say hi and they let him. Unfortunately it involves Marcus busting into the break room saying "ROBBIE ROB!" and Robert sighing but standing up and extending his arms for a hug. Two pats on Marcus' back. and "okay bye". Luce is left in absolute despair cause he's never seen Marcus that happy oh boy.

Anyway my dream wardens mean a lot to me and I really miss them now.

I know that someone said this before, but if you DID make an X-Men au comic run which eras of the series would inspire these comics, how would you write them, and would you have Magneto or some other major villain as the main antagonist?

maaaan i dont know... i can barely decide what i wanna have for lunch most days i just make silly one-off comics i dont got the brain capacity for all that....
