Hey look who's here to kick off my day, Niklas, the man of destiny himself. I'm not surprised but he is sporting a big smile on his face which I love to see! It's supposed to be Summerday, by the way, but as you can tell the weather here doesn't really think so.

"I was thinking," Niklas says after I invite him inside, his cheerful mood radiating off of him and bringing a smile to my face too. "It's summer, maybe we can go out and do some summery stuff?"

"Oh?" I glance at one of the windows and peer beyond the glass to see the dreary gray morning that is common here oft times in Windenburg. "It sure doesn't feel like summer."

"That's Windenburg for you!" he agrees with a laugh and yeah, can't argue there but what kind of summery things can we do with a day like this?

"What did you have in mind?" I ask.

"Just something simple, maybe, head out to the public pool?"

I can't help but smirk and tease him a little, it is a good idea buuuut I have a feeling I know why he's thinking about a little date out to the pool. "Ah, wanting to see me in a swimsuit then?"

So we head to the Bathe De Rill and thankfully we're a little early so the pool is pretty much empty. It's also raining which probably explains the lack of people but honestly why would rain stop a trip to the pool? You're going to get wet any ways, so what's the difference? Ah well, public pools are no fun if there's too much of a crowd.

After a few casual laps, nothing competitive, but we both use enough energy so that we had to pause and catch our breaths giving us a perfect time to start a conversation. "So, any water tricks you can show me?"

"Hmm? No," he gives his head a little shake, wading restlessly in the water. "It's always hard to manipulate the elements. Fire, water, air, those forces take a lot of skill and power to get a handle of."

"I can imagine but you're telling me you have no tricks at all!?" He's so lame sometimes! "Not even a bubble or a little sprout of water or-"

"Oh, I know a trick I can do with water?" He says but his tone is a little too playful now and it makes me suspicious of what he might say next and yet I can't help but ask.

"Yesss?" my eyes narrow, knowing the set up suddenly, it's going to be a lewd joke isn't it?

"I can show you later tonight."

Ugh, I knew it! Let me guess, something something make me wet something something? Yeah, that's He's also snickering like a child too as if he's told the most clever of jokes! All I can do is groan, roll my eyes, and float over to the edge of pool to make my exit.

He follows me outside of the pool and we both decide to hang out a little longer here. For a while we just walk, letting ourselves dry with the help of a very mild sun and a slight breeze but eventually we find somewhere to stop. Away from the trickle of people who have waited out the rain to visit the famous Bathe de Rill. I am mostly focused though on his watch, there is something about it that draws the eyes, it looks ordinary and yet clearly it isn't.

"So is that thing waterproof?" I ask, my eyes glaring at it as if it had asked me a question instead.

"Yea, fireproof too. It can withstand a lot, it's...well, it's very old. My great grandmother had her house burned down in a fire, attempted arson we think, but she later retrieved it in the ashes as if it were brand new."

"That...that thing seems pretty powerful?" Fire usually is all powerful, after all, it's like pure energy. Fire kills everything, doesn't it? Except for his watch I guess.

He shrugs as if it the answer was obvious. "Yeah, it is, but honestly it's a passive kind of power. Not an active kind of power."

"So you say it points you to where you need to be but for what purpose like...is it trying to help you succeed or..."

Another shrug. "Simply where I need to be, whatever that means. It's not always serving me, at least that's what I've been told but honestly I don't think my father even knows what it does."

"What do you mean?" I ask, because the more I hear about it the more confusing it gets. He used it to claim that that we were meant to be but what if it dragged him my way for another reason?

"It's...hard to explain," he rubs the back of his neck for lack of a better answer. "It's not trying to make me rich or anything, it's just simply...where I need to be."

"Ugh, I'm starting to understand why you avoid magic!"

I head back home with Niklas because by the time we left the pool night had fallen and you know he insisted on walking me home. He warned of vampires and werewolves and the mothman and bigfoot too...okay, he only warned me about vampires because he seriously has a hatred for them.

Either way, I mentioned to him that he couldn't stay long because I had some cleaning to do and once again he deployed his magic to help me out. Cleaning the tub with a few swirls of his arms and some sparkly sparkles on top of it and voila, a clean tub! Yeah so, that's a neat trick! I'd be fine with just learning that honestly.

Also, yes, he never did change out of his swimshorts? Yeah so, that was my day, I guess I made the most of it.

Day 51

Alright, yesterday was a LOT. So what to we have toda- OH FUCK YEAH MORE VAMPIRE JUNKAN!!

I’ve done a lot of neck biting up to this point, so why not finally throw in some arm biting?

I really liked drawing this one, like, a lot. I don’t know what to describe what I was going for but I guess something a bit more casual? Plus i got to draw a flip phone! I love those things!

Decently proud of the outfit I came up with for Junko’s Pajamas, super cute.

Okay so I obviously can’t drag this one out much on it’s own, so instead let me tell you a fun story. So I’ve mentioned many times already that I’ve spent a big portion of this project keeping it a secret from most people, but I did eventually start telling me friends about it despite my worries given that I assumed being a Junkan Shipper made you public enemy number 1 for some people. 

And once I showed them the art, explained myself a little, etc. They all liked it! I’ve actually had a pretty consistent streak of showing people Junkan and them liking it, even when its people who have the full context of Danganronpa. (This makes the punchline of my semi-unfounded paranoia all the funnier)

The funny story comes in with one friend though, prior to me properly getting to know him a mutual friend of ours told me in a call “Just don’t show him the Junkan art, he’ll kill you” (for context Mikan is one of his favorite characters of all time). And solely because we share space in a server he did end up seeing it . . . And he was fine with it lol. Like it does rely again on the fact that I do ship it in a very unique context compared to most but it was really funny in hindsight since we're total besties now.

"the flavor of it is not the point, little sister." kriya replies, shaking her head. if she wanted to drink something that tasted good, she wouldn't be downing anything right out of a bottle, she'd be paying a ridiculous amount of money for some pretentious cocktail. "years and years of practice." and was it healthy to admit that so casually? no, not at all. was it healthy to do it? definitely not. but she wasn't going to sit there and lie to kaya about how she coped. the whole point of drinking in the first place was so they could have an open and honest conversation. "how would you know? you didn’t know anything about us." and that's really where the resentment comes in. that she'd never been allowed to even see her sister. they could have been trained and still lived at home with their family, but the jedi wouldn't allow such a thing in their loyal peacekeepers. "no, we hid it for a few months, and mom and dad didn't figure it out until the jedi showed up to take you away." the vase shattering without either of them touching it had terrified her, she'd known what that had meant even as a child, and she'd sworn kaya to secrecy, keeping it just between the two of them until the knights arrived at their home. "brinna didn't like you because of the jedi thing. she knows the whole story with me and mom and dad, they're bitter on my behalf, and i love her for it." she won't apologize for her best friend taking on her problems, just as she takes on brinna's. they'd always done it for each other, and they always would. but kaya agreeing with her request has kriya giving her sister a faint smile, grateful that she won't have to argue with them about their parents any longer. "thank you." she replies, more sincere than she'd been in most any other conversation with kaya. "you were being a brat, i'm not going to apologize." if it hadn't turned out to be kaya, she wouldn't have had a single regret in the entire thing, so she wasn't going to lie about feeling bad. though kaya's question does draw her up short. "either pick another question, or finish that bottle and then ask me, kaya."

"gross." kaya's nose scrunched at the idea of it, watching her sister take such a large drink from the bottle like it was nothing. "how do you do that? not make a face?" they asked after finally getting the awful taste out of their mouth. they didn't really want to admit to kriya that this was the first time they drank anything like that, but then again, they were pretty sure their sister could tell even without the confirmation. there was something all too knowing in kriya's eyes as she watched them. "i'm sorry. i.. i had no idea they just left you completely alone.." even if kriya said that it wasn't her fault, there was too much guilt in their mind surrounding it all. it was her fault she was taken by the jedi, they had spent their whole life surrounded by their own people, by an entire support system, and kriya was.. alone. "did mom and dad find out before they came to take me? how long did we hide it for?" there were snapshots in their mind, memories they never thought about until kriya started mentioning their past.. a flash of themself knocking some vase off the table in a tantrum, a ball flying, but the rest was just.. dark. "i dunno i figured you didn't really like me when you even realized it was me you punched. your friend brinna didn't like me either. i just kinda assumed this would be a wash.." not that they ever wanted that, they wanted to know their family, to get answers to all their questions.. but she figured kriya was right, though.. they never really had a chance before, they were still trying to know each other now. "i'll keep the mom and dad redemption attempts to myself then." they reached over for the bottle again, despite the grimace that followed the next sip, it was definitely helping her relax. "again, the jedi are not a cult, thank you. it still hurt though, just so you know." she rolled her eyes, despite the lighter tone that followed now that the alcohol was settling in their mind. "how'd you get the metal hand, anyways?"

In a way though, I'm glad that I dropped it and picked it up again later... like I feel like this isn't even from that long ago (guy who has no sense of the passage of time voice), but the characterization and even design of Moe is so different. The Scrunch and :< face were game changers for it LMFAOOO (also just making it autisticer 👍)

Beyond that I think everyone looks a lot better and closer to how I envision them, esp Loki!

hiii i dunno if you'll remember me but im the anon who bought pioneers of olive town instead of bg3 bc i was enjoying your fanart of it sooooo muuuuch. and omigosh ITS SO GOOD ive had such fun playing it. i ended up juggling multiple save files because it was so difficult to decide who to marry, the cast is so charming. out of the bachelors, damon and jack i think are my favourites (should i be worried abt my type that theyre both blond...?) but laura and reina are so cute amongst the girls!

I got so scared bc BG3 is such a big game and I was the reason you bought something instead of it and then never heard from you again and I thought my love of silly farming games might have ruined someone's day in the end! I'm so glad you're enjoying it!!! It's so fun and I love the characters and oh man
