this would be the first time yuwol allows himself to step out of the cage that he had conjured around himself at the behest of his parents—but maybe he's being a little too dramatic about the whole ordeal. all he's doing his picking up a guitar and standing in front of a microphone to sing, using his own voice for once instead of hiding behind his violin as an outlet. which is a little funny, all things considered. whenever someone asked him what instrument he can play, his answer is always the violin. never anything else. it's the only one that counts, to yuwol ( and to his parents; its own can of worms ).

standing on top of a stage is nothing new, but he's doing this without his parents' knowledge. it's more of an underground performance if anything, not that known by those too narrowminded to venture out of their comfort zone like his strictly classical parents. at the very least, yuwol knows he's safe here, he can't begin to wonder what will happen if he's found out. he'll figure it out once he crosses that line.

for now, all he has to do is sing. so he does.

his performance ends within the blink of an eye, he was just given a few minutes to showcase his skills and there's a rotation to go through. yuwol exits his stage without giving much of a speech—the less they know about him the better. judging from the audience though, it seems he did okay? always his own harsher critic. he'll have to ruminate on his own later.

yuwol does want to hang around for a while longer within the premises though, intent on observing the other performances. much to his suprise, he ends up spotting a familiar face. ( @ahyoungbe ) is idling to the side, so he approaches her after packing his guitar—an instrument he started using again recently—back into its case.

"i didn't know you took pictures for events like these as well," he says in lieu of a greeting. just as usual, a polite smile graces his lips. "or are you also performing? i would've wanted to see that too."

riha's dad is a pro football (soccer) player, he was up and coming when she was born but is quite popular now

riha's maternal grandparents took care of the kids a lot but grandma passed away when riha was quite young and didn't rly understand what was going on

dad put all the kids into Active Things as early as he could and mom fell in love with a Sports Guy so she was all for it too

riha got put in ballet but her brother was in Rough Sports and riha was like no. i wanna do that. if i bite one of the girls in my dance class will it prove i'm tough enough for soccer

eventually the parentals relented and bitch was and is so indecisive she tried Everything

she liked soccer most but ended up playing tennis, volleyball, and swimming most bc #misogyny

she was very friendly growing up, did quite well in school, but wasn't Spectacular u know

she really came into her own in high school when she tried out for the volleyball team and got on and became absolutely obsessed w it

in the meantime tho she's a personal trainer at her local gym! and she might pick up some other jobs too we'll see.

she is pretty much a Music Newbie, she learned how to play guitar from her mom and she always loved music but was never a singer or anything

she decided to go down the kpop path because becoming an indie musician or whatever seemed way more overwhelming than becoming a trainee LMAO like "ok all i have to do is get signed to a company and they'll teach me everything right???"

Chan's eyes widened dramatically. Did Jisung just expose him in front of his crush? The poor Aussie glowered at his friend, who had just realized what he had said. Jisung slammed his hand over his mouth, gasping.

Chan turned to look at Ahyoung, who was staring at him, mouth agape and eyes big.

"I, um...!" he frantically thought of trying to come up with an excuse, but in the moment of sheer panic, he could think of nothing useful.

"You have a crush... on me?" she mumbled, "No, that's not possible, right?"

Jisung looked back and forth between them, and then turned around and dashed out of the chamber, down the hallway, until he was seen no more.

"I thought we were friends," she said, and Chan sighed, "I'm sorry for hiding it."

Ahyoung bit her lip in thought when he continued, "I like you. Really, really like you. And I know that we barely know each other, but... you're so damn cute, I lose control over my thoughts every time I see you."

She stood before him, mouth hanging open, swallowing her saliva, and her mind was a mess of thoughts. She knew that Chan was insanely attractive, and a generous, kind person who was polite to everyone. He had this captivating, dimpled smile that made her heart race, and eyes that shone with love for everyone. He treated her like a princess already -- opening doors for her and talking to her sweetly and soothing her in a span of barely one day. And now that he had admitted that he liked her, he was in question for a possible future relationship in her mind.

After the words he just spoke, she was ridiculously flustered and flattered. She rubbed her shoe on the floor -- that perhaps being a sign that she was nervous -- and stammered out, "I... You are... I am..." 

"Relax, relax," he stepped closer to her, and she was thankful that there weren't many people in the room to notice this, and those who were didn't care to look. Chan kept a hand on her shoulder and cupped her cheek with the other, sending whispers of jolts down her body, and he said, "You can take your time to decide whether you want to be in a relationship with me or not. Let's get to know each other better first, yeah?" 

She breathlessly nodded, looking up at him. Her eyes were big and wide, and her lips were parted in wonder and astonishment. 

He had the direst urge to kiss her right then and there... but he held himself back. 

Yet, he wondered what her lips would taste like. Would they be as sweet as the cherry lip balm she uses? Or would they taste different? Thoughts escalated, and he involuntarily wondered what she would taste like. 

Get it together -- he told himself, but with her cheek still resting in his hand, and her face warm and red, and her expression so damn adorable, his inner fetish of corruption surfaced right at the top of his thoughts and overtook everything. 

With this same expression -- flustered and feeling warm -- she would look so pretty under him. Her petite body would perhaps quiver as he would make her feel so good with his fingers. Would she like his mouth on her to let him taste her? And her soft moans, as he can imagine, would sound heavenly as he would roughly pound into her, all the while taking care to never hurt his precious baby. Would she be able to take him whole? And- 

"Chan? Earth to," she waved her hand in front of his face, and the said boy woke up from his trance, looking at her and clearing his throat. 

"Yeah," he spoke, blinking thrice. 

Ahyoung said, "Let's get to know each other, Channie," and she smiled. 

That tickled his heart, and as the rest of the students began gathering in the room for the first class of the day, she asked, "Sit with me?"

hello everyone!!! now that the cat's out of the bag (joomi being signed to delta) i can finally make this plotting post. i have been WAITING for it to become public knowledge since obviously that will impact what he's up to this month. i like to put a plotcall together for all my muses at once, too, so this post is long overdue and will now be massive. i'll list what each muse is up to regarding the events they can participate in as well as trackers under the cut. please like this if you'd like to plot. plotting even for non-event stuff is also fine, we'll figure stuff out!

JOOMI

joomi is a studio delta trainee!! wooo!! exciting! he started october 11th, so he did have some time before that to do the halloween events around seoul. he actually worked at lotte world before becoming a trainee as well, so we could probably do something with pre-trainee joomi hatingggg his job working during the halloween stuff SDFSDGSDG. trainee joomi can probably only do festival stuf on sundays, unless there's stuff going on at like, 1 am. he'd honestly love to go. now he is also a trainee just in time for the TRAINEE HALLOWEEN EVENT which will be amazing. what a first impression right. joomi doesn't mind horror stuff but he's going to find the entire experience very strange LMAO but he might get into it!! fun bonding experience, right? he'll be a good sport about it even if he's probably quite stressed having to dance again after thinking he never would...honestly the halloween night in will probably be a welcome break for him. next gen plotcall

hiii everyone!! i'm following the trend and putting a lil next gen plotcall post up for my girls AHYOUNG and NAYOUNG! ahyoung is a contestant and nayoung is a coach so we'll get the best of both worlds. please like this post if you want to plot with either of them, and i'll do a quick rundown of some relevant info on them too.

AHYOUNG is just along for the ride. she is honestly bad at taking anything seriously and a bit of a delinquent and just signed up for next gen because she thought it would be fun so i currently don't know how hard she's going to work, because she is also super lazy JKDSLLDGS i think she'll put Some effort in but she ultimately doesn't care about this that much and could probably use a kick in the ass of some sort. she might fight people on camera too. she's a fun gal though, she will also talk to and befriend anyone and loves getting shyer people out of their shell. i would say she doesn't have a filter but it's not really that, she mostly just says whatever she wants all the time with no fear of the consequences. i think she will be a mess on the show. she is also not the best at dancing, at all, and will probably get annoyed and want to take too many breaks. watch her get kicked out episode one it would be what she deserves. but she does love performing and wants to perform something presentable for the judges, so she'll do what she has to.

NAYOUNG is like the opposite of ahyoung. she will take this So Seriously, like her life depends on it or something. she is not going to be nice. she is like definition of bad cop coach. but i think she'll be pretty good at her job. she's very meticulous and a perfectionist and is insistent on everything she's involved in being The Highest Quality Possible, so she will apply that standard to every contestant. i doubt she will give anyone any praise, but she'll give a lot of feedback...constructive feedback??? but not delivered in the most graceful way LMAO she is blunt and can be cold and got edited as the scary contestant on next gen last season, and it's true! that being said she can give decent advice and Was on next gen last season so she has some experience to share in that regard too. but she's here to make fragile contestants cry (she did that last season) and be harsh where others won't and ultimately try to build the contestants into the best versions of themselves they can be. that's what she thinks, anyway aklsdfaljkslkdasg

i also wanted to say that anyone can say anything about either of my girls in their interview solos! good, bad, anything is fair game, so feel free to use them if you need something extra to write about 💓 (just tag them somewhere bc i'm nosy and want to read it)

this is good for me, yejun tells himself for the fiftieth time in the last hour, or at least he's pretty sure it's been that many times. he sorta started losing count. he loves music. he loves being on stage, he loves making sound with his own hands and voice, he loves the sheer emotion they can put into words and melodies that explain sensations beyond what the lips can manage in normal conversation. since the disolving of dead calm, there's been a void in yejun's life that he didn't quite know how to re-fill. what's a band without jung joomi in it? even their shared eat schmidt days weren't so bad as long as they were together. it's weird to play music without him now.

that, and joining a band with ahyoung was probably the worst idea that yejun has ever had. not that she let him say no anyway, he really didn't have a choice. but her abrupt personality and utter lack of care for anyone else's feelings... well, it's hard.

at least he has sua here. he had always joked that he liked joomi's roommate better than him and it's true that they're good friends. not that he means to put any burden on her, but maybe she'll be his 'new joomi', the person who keeps him sane when his world is crashing down around him as it so often does. he's been sad around sua before, at least. that's how they met; yejun crumbling on a blind date he was not ready to go on after his breakup. he needed a friend, and sua was able to provide that.

"i'm gonna quit," he complains to her during a moment where ahyoung has left the room to do who knows what. his threat is an empty bluff, but he continues anyway. "tell ahyoung i broke both my hands and my music career is over. otherwise i feel like she'll break my kneecaps or something and i still need to be able to get to all those classes i hate." he sighs; he has a backpack full of statistics textbooks he needs to read later tonight. it doesn't get much worse than this. "maybe i need to fake my death, actually. you wouldn't tell her, right?"

eventually, the door opens, and ahyoung flashes a smile to a man with a disappointed expression that may very well rival her mother's. the amount of times she's seen it might rival the amount of times she's seen her mother, too. (not really.)

"principal fisher," she greets him, far more pleasantly than she should, considering the situation.

"annabelle park," he grumbles in return, and ahyoung's smile evaporates, replaced with a scowl.

"if you want me to quit calling you that then maybe you should considering following the rules so you quit ending up here," he suggests.

"maybe if you call me amy i'll quit coming because i won't have to remind you anymore," she argues.

principal fisher lets out a long sigh, ushers her into his office, and motions to the chair wordlessly. they both know ahyoung knows what to do.

as soon as he sits down, he looks her straight in the eyes and says, "do you want to get expelled?"

ahyoung knows it's a rhetorical question. honestly, she doesn't even know the answer, if principal fisher did expect one. she doesn't really know what the fuck she would do if she couldn't go to school anymore, but at the same time, there's a ton of stuff that has to be better than this. maybe she can make a living waiting tables, and keep working on music until a label signs her and she can make some money that way. then she'll make it big and nobody will give a shit whether she finished high school or not. or maybe she'll just be a stripper. who knows? wouldn't finding out be kind of fun? to find out how disappointing she's truly capable of being?

"what are my charges?" she asks, with the slightest quirk of her lips.

principal fisher sighs again. "continual breaking of the dress code. smoking on school grounds. possession of alcohol. smashing shelby king's face into her desk?"

"i didn't do that."

"there were eight witnesses, annabelle!"

she shrugs. worth a try.

"i honestly don't know what to do anymore. you clearly don't care about your education, your future, this institution, or any of your classmates. you don't treat anyone with any respect, you lie for fun, your work ethic is abysmal. what will it take for this behavior to change?"

fair question. she just shrugs again.

she's always been like this. her mom has been making her go to therapy, but she just lies to her therapist until their session is over. she has a feeling her therapist knows, but she hasn't found a way to force her to tell the truth. ahyoung doubts she even cares that much. at least she's getting paid, right?

they're all just doing it because it's their job. principal fisher, too. none of them actually care about her life and future. she's sure they'd all love to get rid of her, actually. that's nothing new to her, either. might as well make sure they remember her before she goes.

"this is your final warning. you're being suspended for a week. i'll call your mother to come pick you up."

"i got my license, actually, so you don't have to waste your time––"

"i'm calling your mother to come pick you up."

ahyoung sighs. whatever. she hopes her mom cries in the car on their way home this time, too.

he does as promised, and instructs her mom to come meet them at his office, because he clearly doesn't trust ahyoung not to run off and do something he disapproves of if her mom just waits for her in the parking lot.

her mom takes too long to show up, as far as she's concerned, but once she does, ahyoung pops out of her chair.

"i'm so sorry about this, principal fisher, i'm really trying, i hope you know––" her mother says as soon as she sees him.

"week long vacation! let's gooooo," ahyoung cheers, slinking toward the door to the office. "maybe i'll use this time to write a song about you, principal f," she calls over her shoulder, raising one hand in a rock on gesture. she slips through the door and charges down the hallway to the sound of more apologies spilling from her mother's lips.

currently, i am giffing both jude demorest and brittany o’grady in star, kim ahyoung (yura) in forecasting love and weather, destined with you, emeraude toubia in with love and jun hyoseong in celebrity !!

while inho would have loved the bragging rights of saying he started at fourth place and stayed there, or went higher, he wasn't shocked to see himself at seventh after comments on his endurance and image. he had his own opposing opinions regarding stamina, while it could definitely be improved, it wasn't horrible. nevertheless, he would work on it.

though the image consciousness was difficult. inho lived his life marching to the beat of his own drum and it'd done him well. he got a long with people easily, promoting casual interactions. while he was friends (or more than) with some of the coaches, they wanted him to act more formally. he'd make an effort on camera, but otherwise, he would maintain the relationships he had built and react respectfully to new individuals.

ahyoung was new to him but he was enjoying having her on the team. she amused him quite a bit. since she had gotten a similar critique on the stamina as well it seemed perfect for them to practice together a bit.

inho nodded in agreeance and understanding. not having to be vocally performing the entire song helped. helped a lot. but a.maze's choreography did seem more difficult. "yeah i'm not much of a dancer...but my little sister might bully me if i mess this up so that isn't an option," he said jokingly. it wasn't a lie though, inhye might.

the judges were very clear after her performance of do better: she needs to improve her endurance. they were quite harsh about it, actually. they sort of acted like she was the only one that got out of breath by the end of the performance, which was clearly not true, as the rest of the episode indicated. she thinks her rank reflected that, though, even if her feedback didn't: seventh place, despite harsh critique. it honestly confused her, but she wasn't going to complain.

the fairer critique, in ahyoung's opinion, was of her work ethic. do you want to be here? or would you rather be at the club? yuna asked, and honestly, she would rather be at the club. she kind of considered dropping out for that reason. then they were assigned teams, though, and ahyoung knew dropping out would put them in an inconvenient position. she didn't want to sabotage people that actually want to be here, so she decided to stick around and do her best, at least for them.

part of that involves actually putting in effort to improve her endurance – dancing a lot. don't call me's choreo is actually significantly harder than do better's, at least in ahyoung's opinion, but the difference will be that she doesn't have to sing and rap all the way through. she'll get more chances to catch her breath, even if the dancing itself never stops.

ahyoung kind of wants to point out that you can still hear debuted idols breathing at the end of dance practices, but she knows that won't do her any favors. "i honestly didn't even feel that bad after do better. i think the adrenaline must've made me not realize how out of breath i was," or something like that. ahyoung doesn't know if that's how it works.

"i think this will be easier because we don't have to sing or rap the entire time. the choreography is still kinda hard, though." go figure, though; a.maze are kinda known for their dancing, right?
