Here's the thing, I have nothing against Lou/Tommy, but the accessive enthusiasm of him returning and everyone already talking about him showing up for next season,

Which if any of you watched for the last 7 seasons, it is very possible because writers love to drag temps over to the next seasons because apparently breakups are for season beginners, mostly (except for taylor),

is very off-putting.

1. Because the dude literally just showed up and they haven't even had one worthy make out session to even call it a situationship.

2. Buck hurt Eddie physically to get into Tommy's mouth and pants, which ruined it for me from the start tbh and Tommy had nothing to do with it, he was just there.

3. Buck has made Maddie's day, his coming out party - that is a big NO in my book. Because one, dude you literally came out, what if you decide eventually that you don't want this or don't want this with this specific first-guy-ever anymore? And two SHE IS YOUR SISTER THE LEAST YOU CAN DO IS HAVE HER LEAVE ON HER HONEYMOON BEFORE YOU KILL YOUR PARENTS OF A HEART- ATTACK.

Even if they "seem accepting" to Buck’s face, this takes time to process, something better revealed in time and in private, once one is sure. Not thinking and talking about this the whole wedding!

And yes, I know, Buck is impulsive, but think for a second, would you want your baby brother to hijacke your wedding after so long of planning it? I know I would have killed him.

Would have told him in advance that if he's bringing his new boyfriend to my wedding, he better tell our parents first. Because this is my fucking day!

I love Buck, but his self-centered personality rubs me the wrong way this season.

Maybe because I wanted to see him growing the fuck up after 7 years and so many traumas and experiences and therapy that he went through, but nope, same old Buck, only instead of the dating the girl who gave him attention, he's seeing the guy who gave him attention.

It's annoying, it's off putting and frankly I am so mad at the writers and Tim for this because these characters deserved better.

And don't talk to me about representation because Shonda did the bi representation in Station 19 perfectly to the point that I was bummed that Travis and Eli didn't end up as endgame even though I loved Emmett with Travis.

Again somehow the 911 writers managed to taint for me what should have been and amazing experience, independent completely of buddie, but no they managed to not only mix Eddie and Buck with Tommy, the whole thing came at the expense of Eddie, physically and mentally, because not only did Buck not apologized to Eddie, Eddie also lost his new friend who now fawns over Buck.

So screw this storyline, I hate it and I hate how everyone is OK with everything that happened in the story, just because Buck is doing a dude(kissing really, there was no doing yet).

There's a lot of blocking in my future, most are just ppl who either came in now because of bi Buck or those who came from other disappointing fandoms and are just here for the rep not the actual story.

But some of us have been here since S1, we want the rep, but we want it to be complimenting, we want to fall in love with the character before it turns into a LI, we want the emotion, the connection, the obvious love building over several years.

Like Casey and Gabby and Severide and Stella, like Maya and Carina, like Travis and Emmett (even though I liked Eli better for him) like Sullivan and Natasha.

I want an emotional payout, give up the surprises, and the wrecked trucks and ships, just tell a good story!

And for the love of all that's holy, enough with the last-minute changes, those never turn out well in the long run. They literally started from scratch when they made the switch between Eddie and Buck.

Also in my opinion, Eddie had a LOT more chemistry with Lou/Tommy than Buck. It would have made so much more sense, in the catholic guilt and internal homophobia department, the nun and supposedly commitment issues was weak at best.

It could have been epic. 😩

And yes, Buck could have started the season single, no harm in that, maybe make him, I don't know, actually growing into something that he would like without someone else to pet his ego? Go back to therapy, work for the LT. exams, be interim captain, realize his worth and learn to love himself for him, not because someone else gave him attention and that made him preen, get him somewhere worthy. Even lessons with Tommy without involving Eddie in this would have been great.

Just something that shows character development, because up until now all I get is S2/S3 Buck and I've seen that movie before, I want my money back.

I realize this is harsh, and normally, I would stick to the light and fun and ignore the rest, but this had to be said out loud so I can go back to that.

That being said, as I said, I will watch Madney wedding purely for Madney. Anything else is just a bonus. I can't wait for that bachelor party and see wth happens to Chimney.

yeah, i agree. i honestly think before tommy was introduced again in 7x03 and the kiss in 7x04 that in my brain, bvddie was the most logical endgame for buck until it wasn’t.

i came into the show shipping bvddie much like a lot of new fans to the show but instead of hopping onto the tommy anti express hate train i found myself falling in love with buck and tommy together. at first i was still on board with bvddie still being endgame but as each episode aired after 7x04 i became faced with the reality of the situation (at least the way i see it) that bvddie might always be fanon and that’s ok because fandom keeps ships alive whether they’re canon or not. some of the biggest ships EVER are non-canon (i mean, cmon spirk? one of the OG MM ships?) so it didn’t really deter me from enjoying bvddie to this day. what HAS deterred me from interacting with bvddie content is toxic bvddies. i don’t like using the lil nicknames, idc if other ppl do, whatever, but i prefer just referring to certain kinds as just toxic plain and simple.

toxic shippers have made it difficult for anyone who multiships to interact with bvddie content. while there are incredibly nice & welcoming bvddie endgamers out there, it doesn’t overshadow the hateful ones in my online experience at least. i’ve blocked so many ppl over this ship discourse, which ive never had to do with any other fandom before the extent i have with 911. everyday i still find new ppl to block, you go under almost any comment section on the 911 insta and its filled with nasty comments abt tommy and only caring abt whether bvddie will be canon in s8. people projecting their hatred of tommy/lou onto the cast/crew of the show when it’s be said and proven time and time again that it’s quite the opposite. now im certain there’s bad apples in the bucktommy side as well, but from what ive seen online so far it is not nearly to the caliber of the bvddie side. ive blocked maybe a handful of bucktommy’s for being hateful towards eddie or being toxic overall, but ive probably blocked over 100+ toxic bvddies. i can only imagine it’d be worse if i was active on 911 twt which i’m not (thank god) but i have ventured into the tags before on there and let me tell you, it’s fucking horrifying how gross ppl are over there. twt is a cesspool for fandom anyways tho, the fucking asshole of fandom, it’s a septic tank really.

now im my own opinion which could be completely untrue of course, but just basing my thoughts on what i’ve seen online and interviews and such, tim seems to be really happy about bucktommy and idk how ppl believe otherwise. tim has expressed he loves LFJ and wanted him back on the show. tim showed up on set for the kiss scene. tim posting an entire youtube vibe abt bucktommy being soulmates that touches on the invisible string theory and explains how they accidentally found buck’s perfect match. tim sharing the deleted tommy scene is also huge but im waiting to see if he releases more (because i remember seen somewhere that he said there’d be more?) and if he does then great but it’s also still pretty telling to me after the whole karaoke fiasco.

oliver has said nothing but praises towards buck’s queer storyline. he quite literally said if you dont like it then watch something else. despite ppl saying he’s never interacted with bucktommy content online, that’s a lie because he has liked fanart of them.

aisha, kenneth & tracie have all expressed how they like tommy/lou and love working with him.

jlh said she loved bvddie before but is excited to see where buck and tommy go and then on an insta live said she doesn’t think bvddie is happening and was bombarded by toxic fans to the point of ending the live early.

ppl think it’s all some ruse to make it seem like bvddie is never happening so when it does happen it’s a “surprise” ……..

the nasty hate comments are doing nothing but exposing these types of ppl for who they are and that honestly to them, 911 is just the bvddie show to them. the people who run these social media accs for 911 are looking at these comments and cringing, they aren’t running to tim and abc being like “we must give these crazies what they want!” they’re mostly likely being ignored or honestly, as you said, being looked at and just reinforcing their decision to most likely make tommy buck’s endgame so as long as his schedule is open for filming.

oliver (and ryan&other cast too) being positive abt bvddie never meant it was going to be canon of become canon one day. they do not decide these things, whether they believe it should or not. a lot of bvddie shippers come from previous fandoms where queerbaiting was there, where they were made fun of by actors of their ships, by the creators of the show! so i understand the frustration but oliver is not queerbaiting and buck is not a queerbait character when he quite literally is now confirmed bisexual and in a relationship with a man.

he’s just not the “correct” queer to these people. despite headcanons (hell even i hc eddie as queer!!) eddie so far, in canon, is not queer. by the end s7 he is still shown to not be over shannon and ruins his relationship with his son over this. ryan has stated in interviews he sees eddie as heterosexual, possibly pushing this because of the influx of ship discourse, and he’s glad to see a vulnerable and deep friendship that buck and eddie can have as a straight man and a queer man and how important he thinks it is.

every single thing that points to bvddie never going canon is like they’re being shot point blank in the chest. i get it, your ship not becoming canon sucks, but again, that is what fandom is for! shipping has never been about how canon smth is, there is 20k fics out there for bvddie and they aren’t canon. they can turn that into 40k, 100k, 1M if they really wanted to! instead they use their time and energy posting death threats, wishing death upon a gay character, bullying ppl online for enjoying a ship.

meanwhile from what ive seen bucktommys are rolling with goofy ass spy tommy theories created by antis and making jokes for our own fun.

so yes, i agree overall. they truly don’t deserve what they think they do. we didn’t whine and scream for a deleted scene. they did. we got ours without even expecting it and are having fun.

Peter- Bitter (in the past it seems) and tbh some of the shit I read and heard that unfortunately was allowed to slide (sometimes even passed off as "funny" stories). It's a sensitive topic for me.

Ace- like Peter, awful things said and done that cannot be solely blamed on addiction which I'm very glad he recovered from btw. I don't know. Honestly the other people who answered this already gave greats explanations. So many pass judgment on them without giving them a chance. They're a one-of-a-kind experience. There will never be a band like them.

idk it just scratched that part of my brain that enjoys creative media outlets LMFAOO but idk i'm not a lorehead in the sense that everything had to be thought out i just thought everything could be stablished inthe lore in a fun or interesting way BECAUSE it surged as nothing serious and slowly started to introduce more and more serious elements, people at the end thought this was a series. and that it was solely written by wilbur which made me saurrrr angry. he's a talented creater, such as slimecicle, in terms of creating cohesive stories! but to attribute all progress to him was ANNOYING

(cGeorge was my personal 9/11 in that regard. Cause he was such a smartly introduced and stablished character and he was so good and in my then circle NOBODY FUCKING CARED it made me go crazy. like you really didn't need to do daily streams like tommy back then to create a compelling character and cGeorge showed that and well you know my cDnf demons sorry had to pull this out he's just so loved by me ... need to finish the animatic fr)

techno was such a good creator i'll always hold my love for him close to my chest, he cared a lot about the things the fans created, he was just lovely and he made such an interesting character with only little preparation. he managed to weave a truly beautiful tale of found family with the syndicate, and he maintained his character the way he loved until the end which i admire since lots of other creators decided to let the fans dictate far more than they should've (in my opinion). i hate the way he was treated at the end of 2021. he seriously deserved better, and i hope he rests in peace knowing he made such a beautiful impact in the community in general.

i understand you. i personally lovedd a lot of the fanart and THE ANIMATICS that came out of dsmp it was kind of like SU in that it also got me to Draw Better. i will always be mad about the wilbur head writer thing because well im a little drolopilled about the fact that DREAM came up with a lot of stuff that ppl attributed to wilbur but anyway.

i think what george did with his character was really smart in my eyes showing the character IS the spectacle simply because he didnt do a ton but every single one of those streams revealed something important about his relationship to other characters and the server. and that disconnection and slow insanity via the dreams was interesting to me. i do wish he did a bitttt more but not everyone needs to be a tommy to have good lore. it irritated the hell out of me that so many people didnt take his streams seriously for a lot of reasons we talked about a little but those are my personal demons about cgeorge

i think in some ways techno rlly embodied the srs and nsrs aspects of the rp in that he had some really epic moments ppl will remember forever but at the same time was goofy and silly. i loved that he had a strong sense of his character and the way he incorporated other characters into the plot. admittedly i wasnt much of a techno watcher but i think everyone felt the effect of his passing really deeply. i also hope his family is doing alright and if there is an afterlife he knows just how much of an impact he continues to have on the world :(

Most people watch him cause he's hot and dumb hot guys getting hurt is the best entertainment available to humanity. He also plugs his only fans on the main.

Nikki either does these like pretentious art house short films that are like an hour long and in Italian that nobody understands or he films himself with his crapped phone camera at two am eating tidepods on his unmade bed. There is no in between.

Vince is a YouTuber who sits at like 19k and is honestly just there to look hot while talking about cars. He has a whole channel where he reviews all kinds of cars that he borrows (read: breaks into) and takes them out for a spin. He desperately wants to get sponsored by Ferrari or something but due to his unforseen (and obvious) crimal record they never do. He also plugs his only fans on the main.

Mick posts like twice a year and still somehow has pretty much the same amount of subscribers as the rest. He reviews music and albums and always has something insightful to say about music in general. He also does not show his face on YouTube, he wears a mask for when he's on camera and has an avatar for when he's not. He also sometimes streams on Twitch and then he just plays cod and just kinda fucks around.

His very tight-knitted close circle only consists of people that he knows since his childhood in Mallorca and it's the same case with his love life. This sounds completely crazy but it's actually pretty common with high-profile athletes. Their fame, I can imagine, make it very difficult for them to be close to someone who's ENTIRELY not in it for your 'superstar persona' or who actually knows you before all of the craziness happens. That's why a lot of high profile athletes ended up with their childhood sweethearts (who's known them since forever).

This is even more so in tennis. I don't think people truly truly appreciate and understand how difficult it is to be a life partner of a professional tennis player. They move cities every 2 weeks around the world and that means not only sacrificing your whole life to be with them, but also your dream of a normal family life, not to mention your anonymity. The Federer kids def did not have a normal childhood lol. You must either be a completely selfless person, or you must love them very very much I think. The other 3 of the big 4 are exactly the same! They married their childhood sweethearts that they've known even before they were famous (Andy with Kim, Novak with Jelena, and Roger with Mirka).

So no, in conclusion, they never dated! (Pretty sure Shakira was already with Piqué at the time) Rafa was also very very awkward with girls lol he's surprisingly not very smooth at all (there are some hilarous videos of him on the internet). The boxes were full and ready to go. It took about a month to pack up and completely move into Joel’s farmhouse.

It was strange seeing your apartment empty. You had lived here on your own for so many years before Ellie came along. The furniture had changed over the years, and pretty much everything did due to Ellie moving in, having dogs, they suddenly die, having cats, and they suddenly died as well. But this time, it was finally empty, it looked like it did when you had first bought it. It looked like you kept it the same all these years.

You handed the key to your landlord, Britt, she was always fun and kept you company before Ellie, when you were depressed about your job, or anything really. It was hard seeing you go and you felt the same of course. She held you in the tightest hug and it felt like a stab in your heart. But you wanted this, so you weren’t really worried about how you’d feel in a few days.

Ellie waited for you in the car. When you got inside, you immediately noticed the constant smile on her face, she would try hiding it but you could tell, and god that made you feel so good.

It was a long month. From the wedding, to Joel dying, and now this, moving five hours from the city into a rural town where you two would be basically separated from everything, it was a lot. Now you were ready to get to your new home and nap it all off.

Jesse, Dina, Tommy, and Maria had all helped move us in throughout the week, and make things comfortable for us. Dina couldn’t get over the countryside and Jesse was irritated by her constantly whining to move closer to us as their baby, JJ, spilled his juice everywhere and made a mess. As for Ellie, she had been fine, for the most part. She hadn’t completely opened up about how she was feeling but you knew it was passing by. Passing by as in, she was accepting that she’ll never talk to Joel again, not that she’s getting over it and forgetting about him- she’ll never forget him, it was her dad. There was a glow that sat beautifully on her face and it was the same glow she had when you two got married, when you two would be in each other’s presence. It seemed that was her way of telling you but not telling you either that she was content and you loved it.

Your head peaked out of the kitchen once again to look at Ellie, JJ and Jesse in the living room. Ellie had been playing with JJ and you couldn’t help but lose your train of thought. It was so cute when she did that.

Dina, Jesse, and JJ were finally leaving. You were going to miss your best friend as she wasn’t just down the street anymore, she was five hours away. Her baby was getting older, and soon it was time she would have to start paying full attention to him so the chances of regular communication were getting lower.

You couldn’t help but feel a little heartbroken.

After everyone left, you devoured the banana bread with a large cup of milk, leaning over the counter, nitpicking everything in your head about this house.

You remembered Ellie had been setting up her art room, it was a nice size and way better than the balcony at the apartment. You cleaned yourself up and walked to the room.

The door was slightly open and the room had been quiet, only Ellie’s humming being heard.

You knocked on the door.

“Come in.” Ellie said softly and you walked in. Shutting the door behind you, trying to not disturb the peacefulness.

“It’s late, do you want to come to bed?” You asked as you watched her draw yet another portrait of Joel.

She yawned and put down her pencil. She didn’t answer your question and instead walked over to you and hugged your waist while kissing down your soft neck. She pulled away, “Let’s go.” She stretched her long arm out for you as she opened the door, leading you to your new bedroom.

The bedroom was large, with a walk in closet, a bathroom and a beautiful large window that wasn’t covered with curtains for the purpose of the countryside view.

The room was obviously empty only with a bed that had pastel yellow sheets Maria had bought. You sat down on the bed as Ellie followed. She sat and watched you take off your pants leaving you only in your underwear and a slightly large shirt, Ellie had done the same only her top half was completely bare.

It was the middle of the night in the new house, the first night you two had slept there. It had a creepy feel to it. It was quiet and dark, the only light coming from the large window you had been facing. From the window where you had been lying down, you got a nice view of the farm and the night sky, and also an occasional few cars that would pass by.

It was so hot that you had been fighting with the blankets all night, whether they should be on or off. Looking over at Ellie, she had seemed to be sleeping like a baby. You continue to look at the window while laying down, eyes wandering all over the place. The time was 2:00 a.m. It was going to be a long night.

Sweat begins forming on your back, causing you to pull your shirt off, now only in your undergarments.

“I’m going to go look for a fan. I think he had one in the attic.” Ellie just randomly blurs out causing you to look at her, startled.

“Please, baby it’s so hot.” You say as you lean over to the small chair beside the bed and grab the water bottle, desperately chugging it again. As you did that, Ellie leaves to look for a fan.

What had felt like forever, Ellie finally arrives with a fan. It was a decent size and was perfect. As Ellie plugs it in, you unclip your bra and let all of the cool air hit you before lying back in the bed, covering yourself with the blanket.

You hear Ellie rumbling into bed, a lot closer than before, wrapping her arm around your body, pulling you closer. It felt so nice to have her this close, as she really hadn’t been willing to for a few months. Also with the heat, you’d just hate being that close.

Ellie takes her warm and soft lips, and presses it on your neck. Kissing you up and down, you closed your eyes hoping she wasn’t just giving you a goodnights kiss but wanted more.

You pull your blanket down from your face to show her your exposed breasts, ready to be caressed and sucked on (lmfao idk how else to say it).

She looks at you with a slight smile before kissing your temple. “Please..” You whisper, grabbing her head with both of your hands, she knew exactly what you wanted. You adjusted your position, lying on your back, waiting for Ellie to slip under the sheet.

Ellie and you hadn’t been together like this in a while, considering everything she’s been through and the missed honeymoon. You can see it on Ellie’s face, she felt so good at this moment. Her face was lit up and the light coming from the night sky reflected on her face.

Ellie kissing down your neck, you move your hand over to caress her soft, slightly greasy hair. Pressing a kiss to her forehead, you whisper, “I love you.” She breaks the kiss, whispering the same back to you before continuing to kiss, getting lower with each one.

At this point, you both knew exactly where this was going, it was one of Ellie’s favorite ways to make you smile. You spread your legs a bit further, allowing Ellie to have some space. You desperately throw the blanket off of the both of you to be able to see her. Her strong hands hold down both of your legs, her eyes lock with yours as she begins licking you right where you wanted her to. Your eyes begin to look drowsy as Ellie begins to pick up the pace. As you moan loudly, you notice Ellie smiling at you making your sounds every once and a while. Seeing her do that made you want more, you loved seeing her that way. You throw your head back into the fluffy, white pillow, grabbing onto anything that was in your region as Ellie relentlessly pleased you with her wet, warm tongue.

you were a mess and by the time you were able to let it all out over Ellie’s sweaty face, you were covered in your own sweat, sitting up on elbows, looking at Ellie get up and move towards you.

Ellie grabbed the blanket nearby and covered you and herself up. You immediately wrap your body around hers, pressing light kisses to her face.

“I forgot how much I love doing that.” Ellie says as you slowly begin to open your eyes.

You propped your head up on your elbow, leaning into Ellie more, caressing your hard, short nails up and down her back. “It looked like you really needed that.”

Heyo I've gone through the entirety of your dsmp tag and god some of these character takes are just soo hhhh <33 Really not a fan of non-con but at least the way you wrote it in snapshots feels more like describing a terrible thing by focusing on the thoughts of the ppl involved rather than like, writing porn which is just,,, really refreshing and effective. Made me start thinking on how many of these headcanons and stuff you often write are like, permanent in your version of the dsmp. Like which of them are in the background of all/most fics or drabbles you write. I get that the Dream in 'joking' doesn't transfer to other fics but;

The question is basically, did the Q you wrote in 'disgust' go through the same or similar events as 'snapshots'? Cause like god sweetie that is not gonna make you feel better.

i think there's a couple of things to touch on here and the first is that, with the exception of the quackity/techno thing (which even then, straddles the line pretty weirdly), i have not written noncon for dsmp. what i've written is characters who've been raped, with that alluded to in various levels of explicitness. "noncon" is not just a 'polite' word for rape - historically, it was associated with sexualised rape, rape fantasies, etc. i think this is a distinction worth trying to preserve in fandom, because a) it helps to point out that rape fantasy stuff is fantasy, it's almost a separate thing from rape entirely, because rape is horrific and a violation and not remotely sexy, and b) you end up with people talking in euphemisms around rape, which i think gives the word 'rape' a sort of undeserved power. name the thing! the quackity in snapshots is a rape survivor.

re: how much carries over... this is a weird one. so you're correct in saying that the dream in joking doesn't transfer to other fics - the dream in aftermath is not specifically written as attracted to minors. but... he's still like, the same read of dream that inspired joking: a very intense person, a very fucked up person, someone who has kind of destroyed his own morals and humanity and very successfully lied to himself that he can do whatever he wants and it's justified. and, of course, someone who is bewilderingly obsessed with and fixated on tommy, for whatever reason - of which pedophillic attraction is only one of many plausible narrative motivations.

in the same way, the quackity in my other fics (including disgust) didn't necessarily go through the exact same events as in snapshots. but quackity is, imho, canonically an abuse victim. certainly he's canonically a victim of domestic violence and verbal/emotional abuse - schlatt hits and belittles him on camera regularly. given that a lot of that verbal abuse and humiliation is sexual in nature (about quackity's ass; about how he's a 'beta' or a 'bitch'), i headcanon that he's a survivor of sexual abuse also. whether that's outright rape by force, as occurs in snapshots, or whether it's 'just' coerced sex (through pressuring him, through alcohol/drugs, through threats), varies, but... in everything i write, quackity has a history of sexual abuse.

so: very long answer to say, yes, the quackity in disgust is also a sexual assault survivor. yes, he's handling it very badly, and no, it's not making him feel better, but like hell is he going to let that stop him. he's doing what all my post-schlatt quackities do, which is deciding that the best lesson to learn from schlatt is that if he behaves more like schlatt, this will improve his life and stop him from being victimised again. it's not working, but hey- he's got nothing else to cling to, other than a desperate desire to be powerful, so people will stop hurting him, and this is the only idea he has. so he'll take what he can fucking get.

i said i wouldn’t have to address discourse on here, and i wish i didn’t have to again, but. here we are again. it’s 6PM for me and tommyinnit is trending under politics. what a world we live in.

i’m gonna start this off by saying; i didn’t know what aave was until recently. if i’m being completely honest, a lot of ppl in my life had told me that it was just the “twitter slang” or “the slang that stans used”, and for awhile it was brushed off as just twitter slang by. literally everyone, and i only realized what it was and that it existed until just recently, as i’ve said again, and that’s probably the case for tommy in this situation. i don’t really get a say so this is the only post i’m probably gonna make about the situation —and also i’m fucking tired, jesus christ— but here’s what i hope for this situation; i hope people educate tommy about what aave is and educate him so he doesn’t make this mistake again, because that’s what this is, it’s a mistake that he could easily learn and change from if people gave him the helping hand to grow and change. he’s not gonna naturally know every line to not cross, and that’s what’s important about helping him out and calling him out when he makes a mistake—that’s what’s important about educating him, so he learns. however. to the surprise of absolutely no one, twitter is doing that funny little thing they do (/s), where some people are speaking up over the minorities, there’s people taking quotes from that stream out of context and twisting them to make tommy look worse, i had even seen a tweet in my feed, before i’d decided to trash the app once again, saying they were going to go to his VODS to look for more “offensive language”, and probably use it against him in this. there is no fucking point in dragging up anything else but the root issue here, because you’re not educating, you’re not teaching him a lesson, you’re not helping him grow or any of the things you say you’re doing by taking quotes out of context, leaving angry tweets that explain absolutely nothing, and saying you’re gonna look into his old VODS for shit to use against him.

,,it’s . tiring. is what i’m saying. everyone there uses the word “educating” but when it actually comes down to it they don’t.

and people wondered why tommy’s posts were so rushed about the KSI situation? it’s because he didn’t get an explanation about what he’d done wrong, because the hashtag was clogged with angry people who weren’t educating like they said they were, it was full of nothing but anger and hate and some people even calling him a transphobe, and that’s how he got it in his head that that’s what he needed to apologize for, and therefore that’s what he apologized for. i’m well aware that it isn’t most people, and god i’m glad there’s people on that app that are actually trying to educate and are trying to do the good thing and actually have a good head on their shoulders, but the bad outweighs the good, and coupled with how twitter is built? makes everything worse.

this fandom has a problem with speaking up over minorities, for trending hashtags and doing all these things to be “the savior” when in reality they aren’t actually helping the root problem and they’re just making things worse, and there’s some people doing the same in this situation —even though it’s just starting— instead of letting the actual people who can educate tommy educate him on aave, and on that note?

i. am thinking i’m gonna take a break from posting for a couple days. i don’t think i’m leaving the fandom, and honestly the break won’t be for more than a couple days, but all of this has dragged down my mental health and has made me paranoid. if i’m honest, i was fretting for a tommy stream cause i was worried he was gonna make a mistake and the worst type of ppl on twitter was gonna do that funny little thing they do /s, where they make the situation 10x worse, and it came true, and i think i’m gonna. take a step back. for awhile? i’ll still be liking shit so i won’t be gone, and it’ll only be for a couple days, but i think it’d be better if i wasn’t as active in the fandom part of the content as i am currently, because where we stand now is awful.

This was Before the specific deaths were Confirmed Canon and I was like "it doesnt make sense for c!Tommy to have murdered someone canonically and these canon deaths dont function like other canon deaths do" n people were like "TOMMY STAN??? TOMMY STAN INVALIDATES JACKS ENTIRE ARC???" I am a c!Jack enthusiast who has been watching him since August 3rd 2020 specifically I have made essays going into detail the trauma he's gotten and how that has affected him as a person

i am glad that some ppl can find the final disc confrontation as a solid ending to the dsmp, at least for tommy and tubbo, but i can't.

to me it isn't a satisfying ending, sending dream away to prison with so many loose threads and empty promises.

i think there's genuinely good stuff that would come from events thereafter for their characters as well, and i don't think revivebur/cwilbur is as bad as some people think he is. i think the problem is genuinely the timeframe everything happened in and how because of that it made things happen that wouldn't have or things that should've didn't happen.

i think, especially direct post revival, revivebur was a great character and i think the potential between him and ranboo could've been great, and the foundations they laid for their characters to learn something from each other was very very well done and good, it just never came to fruition, and wilbur had to write a book to catch us up on things no one else would do.

i think that some of the closure tommy had begun to get, such as slowly opening up to people like quackity or wilbur or his friends, or doing things he loved again was a very good thing for him.

i think that even some of the tragedies post disc finale were immensely interesting, like our glimpse into limbo and everything that would happen between sam and tommy's relationship, etc.

genuinely i think there were good things, good plans, and it all worked out when they worked together to do them. even the lore over the last few days, i think, although not ideal and clearly rushed, still has very good elements to them and because they were communicated through and talked out, it shows.

i just wished this all happened like, 6 months ago. i wish the finale for wilbur and tommy would've happened back in spring or summer or even earlier, if these 3+ month gaps in between streams didn't happen, because i think that's what really killed it. the missteps in writing and flaws wouldn't be as obvious if things had continued to happen consecutively. i think there are lots of problems with the lore and things that have happened over the last few months but i genuinely think it's not the writing that is the problem but the timing. it's like if you had a tv show season that was supposed to run for 20 episodes but they only aired maybe 5 a year. you forget what happened last time, the details, you've lost the hype and excitement, or you've analyzed the last bit of content so much that your expectations will simply never be met.

i, unfortunately, don't find the final disc confrontation as an easy fall back. i can't just pretend that that was the ending, because to me, it doesn't conclude it well narratively. in the grand scheme of things it wasn't as huge a win for tommy and tubbo, not after all they went through. dream didn't die he went to prison. there were still people around that hated them. he lived under the pretense that wilbur would've been revived, and if it would've just ended there would've been so much that they never got to talk through that they eventually did.

im glad some people can do that, but i cant. and i dont know how the finale for tommy and tubbo's characters will go tomorrow, i've only been watching clips and reading recaps and once they're available, i've been skipping through vods.

i don't know how much hope i have for tomorrow. tommy once said he wanted us to have a good ending. by the way it looks it looks more like they're setting up a promo for dsmp s2 and i hope to god it's not that. i hope something happens. i hope that something, anything lets tommy not die tomorrow.

regardless of how it does end, i'm glad it's over, and i hope that they can do new, brighter things in the future. i hope they make new smps or bring back other ones. i hope people stop hounding their chats about the dream smp and lore and let them play minecraft without mentioning it. i hope they can play other games, bring back old series, play with more people they havent much, god fuck anything please.

i hope that what they do next they can view as having fun, and not something they do out of obligation or for job reasons.

i hope they can have fun after the dream smp and that we get content that they want to show us, and that they enjoy creating with as much passion they did 2 years ago.
