“Love? Do you not think that’s too strong of a word?” Ónoma questioned the man.
“I do not, in fact, I think it is not strong enough to describe what I feel for you. It is something I’ve never felt before, not even for Amphitrite when we were still married. The Gods do not feel as humans do, you are well aware of this, do not question my feelings for you again, they are carved into me like a river cuts through a mountain, like a ships cuts through the waves.” The sincerity and seriousness of his voice stunned her.
He had been serious with her before, but it had not been this pressing. She’d not meant to hold her breath an inhaled deeply when she realized. She searched his eyes for any insincerity, but came up with nothing. “Show me.” Was all she replied.
“What?” Five.
“You said you were in disguise, I wish to see you, the real you, so that we may bury all lies told.” She held his gaze as she spoke. A smirk graced his face as he took her face in his hands.
“I thought you wanted me to show my love, not that I’m complaining about this, but I think that would have been way more fun. Though, I suppose this request is way more you.” He winked at her, caressed her cheek, then took a step back. “Whatever you wish, my lady.”
If he was ethereal before, he was something else entirely now. His hair was longer, flowing like waves, but his frame was broader. He seemed to be as sharp as the earthquakes he caused, but as soft as the sea in rest at the same time.
“I accept.” She stated, seemingly out of nowhere. He raised an eyebrow at her.
“What do you accept? My proposition?” He asked, sounding almost giddy while trying to retain a cool exterior. Three.
Ónoma feigned a sigh and struggled to contain her smirk. “Your apology, I accept your apology.” She was having way too much fun riling him up. Poseidon noticed her expression and narrowed his eyes.
“Are you teasing me?”
“Maybe, I believe that’s two questions left.”
“You’re still keeping track of that, huh? Well then, if I have two left, what is the goal of your teasing?” Ónoma recognized the first question to be rhetorical, and allowed him that much.
She took a challenging step closer. The two now breathing the same air, chest to chest. She looked up at him through her lashes and ran a finger down his chest, stopping at the cloth that covered him. “I think you know.”
“That’s not an answer.”
“I want you to ruin me, completely.” She whispered. Her voice was soft, but her eyes were bold as she held his gaze. He grabbed her by the waist with one hand, the other holding the back of her head, and brought her impossibly closer. Just the smallest shift would have their lips touching.
“Oh, I intend to, but first, will you be mine?”
“Yes.” She breathed. As their lips finally touched, she felt him smile, and she followed suit.
A/N: Could this have been added to the previous part? Yes. Did I want to be evil and make you wait just a bit longer? Yes.
To the friends of the fic in the taglist, do you want to be added for the works mentioned in the poll in part 19? Please let me know and I hope you enjoyed this series. I might write some standalone fics about the future of Poseidon and Ónoma, I might not. For now, this is my goodbye to this storyline.

An- apologies, I’m not too proud of this one… if you want anything else about this just ask! @sunshinewhosketches
I’d say pretty confidently there are three levels of timespans of your relationship
That being meeting, dating before his dad returns, and after Odysseus’ return
Meeting
Now Telemachus is no strangers to gods. He’s a bit of a nerd… studying all the great tales of the sky, ocean, underworld, etc
And obviously he is close with Athena, he’d consider her one of the closest people in his life
But that’s the only god he really knows as in a personal way, not to mention Athena came to him so he wasn’t actively trying to win over anyone
That being said, it’s most likely that he meets you through Athena
One day you overheard the goddess of war and wisdom speaking of her new mentee with Hermes and you were more than interested
It’s not often that she speaks so fondly of anyone, especially men, so this boy had to be good!
Anyways, it’s not like you knew of his father yet (it’s likely during this time you first hear of him that Poseidon and Odysseus are having their fights)
So you followed Athena one day to meet the boy, just planning to watch from afar
As a demigod you couldn’t exactly make yourself invisible like true gods, so you hid in the water in one of the beach pools of Ithaca while he trained
But he’s very intelligent and soon sees you poking up from the rocks at the waters edge
Now he’s incredibly flustered, not knowing who you are or your intentions
So Athena has to tell him to calm down before you can talk
Sure, she’s against romance, but it wouldn’t hurt for her warrior to have a demigod on his side
And when he finds out your Poseidon’s daughter?
Yeah, he’s shocked
Not because he’s scared, but because “gods are such strong beings supposed to be so beautiful?!?”
You’re there, skin sparkling from the water looking like you emerged from the depths of the ocean
He’s immediately very polite, not daring to say anything to offend you
After all, your father is known for drowning his enemies for a small wrongdoing
But he sees your face and can’t bring himself to be anything but a stuttering mess who blushes lightly
Before Odysseus
When you two are dating things are more or less… crazy
The most obvious issue is the suitors
Now he’s tempted to say to them that, “yeah, I’m dating a demigod so don’t mess with them or my mother”
But he’s no idiot
He knows this would put you in danger, so instead you two usually meet at the rivers and beaches of Ithaca
Anyways, he loves getting out of the palace and exploring his kingdom with you
Although he knows you’d protect him, he likes to be the one protecting you
He feels strong knowing a literal demigod is trusting him with their safety
Your favorite pass time together is sailing, since he isn’t afraid of you getting caught in the water because he knows you can swim well lol
He looks so so so good with slightly wet hair, muscular arms shown off as he hums lowly and pulls at the ropes of the ship
But don’t tell him that! He’ll blush and lie that it’s a bad sunburn
Now he doesn’t know of his father and your fathers feud, so you two have little to fear
Well… kinda
He’s never known a demigod, nevertheless been in love with the daughter of an incredibly dangerous god
So he’s extra polite to you (he would be anyways, because he loves you) and never goes into the water without you
I’m not going to assume what type of abilities you have, but whatever it be he’s very very proud
When you show him he looks at you in awe before hugging you like an excited little kid
“Do it again!” Yeah, who can say no to him?
You two mainly share gentle kisses after long days of adventures, and you always splash him with some water when you get shy from his affection
After Odysseus
Definition of… “oh sh-“
Now Odysseus is a kind man, despite his change after his odyssey
So he won’t be rude to you
In fact he likely won’t know for a while since… everyone has a lifetime of catching up to do
So it isn’t until you see Telemachus come into your bedroom with a panicked expression that issues arise
Now he’s a sweet sweet boy, and he lies
He tells you he’s just feeling ill and needs to lie down
In actuality his dad was telling him about his journey and started talking about the absolute hatred him and Poseidon had for each other
Telemachus goes pale.
He’s so scared two of the people he loves most won’t get along!
So he doesn’t tell you while he figures it out
And by figuring it out I mean having a “tummy ache” because he’s so nervous
To be fair he didn’t know you didn’t care for your dad as you never brought him up
It was a touchy subject for both of you, but now that he has his dad he’s aware of how quiet you are on the subject
Everything is okay to him until he sees you and his dad talking while you help him fix a boat by going underwater and poor bby let’s the secrets fly
Since he sees you underwater he assumes his dad knows
“I’m so sorry father! I know you hate Poseidon but she’s so lovely and I’m not willing to give her up even if you have fought him.”
Which just confuses the two of you until you look at one another and realize
Now both you and Odysseus love Telemachus, and don’t like Poseidon, so what is there to fight about?
Telemachus just holds your hand, waiting for his fathers reaction
But all he does is nod and carry on
To be fair, he owes you for protecting his family while he’s been gone
After that Telemachus is less nervous
Now the only thing that gets him going in a flustered stutter is when his mom says “I’ve never thought you’d marry a demigod” and I maid squeals “when is the wedding”
No, Poseidon and Odysseus aren’t going to get along for your sake

You held out a jar for Odysseus to pour half of the potion in. The liquid was thick, and when it sloshed around, you thought you could disentangle a few whispered words.
You shook your head. What a stupid thought.
Walking along one side of the ship, Odysseus at the other side, you tipped the jar. The potion spilled out, turning the water a milky white.
Stalactites. Those were the first things you noticed.
The water was glowing now, the only thing illuminating your path forward. You felt someone grab your hand and give it a tight squeeze.
“Friends.” You snapped your head toward Odysseus, who now stood at the helm. “Circe’s instructions were clear. No matter what we hear, full speed ahead, until we find the prophet.”
Your captain gestured for you to come to his side as he continued, “my comrades, this land confuses your mind. So no matter who we find…”
You jogged to where Odysseus was waiting. “Full speed ahead, until we find the prophet,” you finished.
Your captain gave an approving nod. “Good.”
And then the shrieks started.
You raised your hands to cover your ears from the horrible noise, yet the only thing your mind could seem to focus on was the howling.
Odysseus caught your wrist, looking deep into your eyes; you knew he could hear them, and that they were more unbearable for you than anyone else on the ship. He didn’t stop you as you curled into a ball.
“All I hear are screams,” you managed. “Everytime I dare to close my eyes.”
One of the cries had a recognizable voice, and you choked back a sob. Your little sister had died in a ranch fire- you could still remember the moment like it was yesterday, and not twelve years ago.
“I no longer dream,” you heard Odysseus say, but it seemed like he was far away from you. “Only nightmares of those who died.”
You rocked forward and backward slightly, tears streaming down your face as you practically relived the scene where Poseidon had drowned so many of your friends. “Nothing’s what it seems,” you wailed.
You were aware of someone’s presence next to you, taking your head to rest on their chest as they stroked your hair gently, murmuring comforting words. You relaxed as the sound of a beating heart anchored you to what was going on now, and slowly you turned your head up, catching a sight of Polites as he smiled down at you. He whipped your tears with his thumb, a familiar gesture as you leaned into his hand.
“This land confuses your mind,” he reminded you softly, as if trying to tell you that all the deaths you had caused were not your fault.
You burst out into fresh tears, sobs racking your body as you heard as clearly as Polities, “five hundred fifty-eight men who died under your command.”
Polites looked up from your face, eyes locking with Eurylochus.
Polites pulled you in even closer, now positioning you so that your head rested in his lap. You went still.
“All I hear are screams,” you mumbled, looking up at your friend despairingly. “Every time I dare to close my eyes.”
To your surprise, he leaned down to whisper in your ear, “I no longer dream. Only nightmares of those who’ve died,” he admitted.
You slowly pulled yourself up into a sitting position and wrapped your arms around Polites. He decided right there and then that he wanted you to be the last thing he ever saw.
“Nothing’s as it seems,” you whimpered.
“Nothing’s as it seems,” Polites agreed.
The moment seemed to last for only a heartbeat before you pulled away.
“Waiting.” You didn’t have to strain to hear the voice.
“That voice,” you murmured. “It can’t be.”
Yet there she was- Odysseus’s mother, your own mother figure, was sitting on the same old stool you’d offered her years ago to replace, time and time again, for the wood was splintering and rotting. Her white hair was the same color as the milky water you caught a glimpse of as you rose to your feet.
“Waiting,” she said. You exchanged a look with Odysseus; he hadn’t moved from where he was standing next to you.
“Mom?” Your captain’s voice sounded almost as broken as your own.
“Waiting. Odysseus, Y/N, when you come home I’ll be waiting.” The old woman looked past you happily, focusing on a spot beyond your shoulder. “Even if you two are the last things I see, I’ll be waiting.”
“We’re right here,” you said softly, taking a small step closer.
“Mom.” Odysseus waved a hand in front of her face carefully. “Can’t you see?”
“We’re waiting,” you and Odysseus uttered in unison.
“I took too long,” you heard Odysseus whisper.
“I’ll always love you.” You wanted to reach out, to tell her that you loved her too.
“We ventured too far,” you said, tilting your head away from your captain so he wouldn’t see that you were silently crying.
“I’ll stay in your heart,” the old woman promised.
There was a long stretch of silence, the only haven you would have from the screams for a while.
“Bye, Mom,” Odysseus mumbled.
And then the howling was back, along with your pounding headache and heavy guilt that pressed against you.
“All I hear are screams!” Your words came out as more of a yell. You pressed your hands to your temples. “Everytime I dare to close my eyes!”
And then Eurylochus was behind you, taking your hands away from your head and massaging your temples with soothing circles instead.
This caused your voice to lower a fraction. “I no longer dream, only nightmares of those who’ve died. Nothing’s what it seems. But here in the underworld your past is always close behind.”
“Your past is always close behind,” you heard the rest of the crew echo. “Down in the Underworld!”

Okay so I saw this post about dark percy (really him reaching his Limit and fighting full strength with everything he had) and I was imagining the potential fallout of that. Pretty bad, as you can guess.
The thing is a lot of percys strongest moments happen out of view of the olympians, especially in hoo. The hurricane atop the glacier in alaska, the poison scene in tartarus, bending the depression river and the one in the palace of nyx.
Stuff like the St Helens eruption got him washed up on an inescapable island literally removed from reality until calypso gave him the OK, the achillies curse he got tricked into losing by hera. Smaller moments, the minotaur, fighting ares, the stolen pirate ship, walking on water vs hyperion, freshwater sources, him knowing both Latin and Greek, they're more easily brushed off or at least mostly due to cunning, sword skills and sheer luck and grit.
But basically the olympians don't actually know the full extent of percys strength and divine power. They have hints - percy standing on the throne, winning against ares, his many victories - but what they aren't willing to brush aside in the heat of (an important) battle there have been pretty strong consequences for.
Heck, just look at Frank, he's no prodigy with weapons, he's polite and respectful, but his distant relation to two olympians letting him inherit shapeshifting earned him direct divine meddling and his life force tied to a hunk of half toasted firewood. Man is a honey bear with lactose intolerance and he was punished with a mythical death curse for being too strong.
If Percy's true strength came out, he would risk losing everything. His freedom, most certainly. If he wasn't straight up executed he might wind up in a Greek myth style imprisonment, the way of atlas, prometheus, calypso, or something like the myriad of ways Greek heroes met their end. Good scenario he survives a dozen curses and gets on with life with a dozen new disabilities, best case scenario he's stripped of every inch of divine power and dropped back to the mortal world, not even clear sighted. Total separation from the Greeks and Romans. Oh, annabeth would marry him either way, and his friends would hardly abandon him despite the gods wishes, but they'd hardly be able to see him, and no long range contact without the ability to IM him or vice versa.
All of that to say Percy is hiding his true strength from the gods themselves - maybe not consciously, and it's not even power he particularly wants - but if they ever find out?
It's game over.
But why is he so strong? I don't know. What I do know is that the half bloods of the books are so much stronger than the ones of myth. Used to be that divine blood would get you divine favour and a great fate whether you liked it or not. Maybe some cunning and bow skills. A spot of spell casting if you were really lucky. Achillies got his curse after he was born, Perseus had a dozen magic artifacts, orpheus had something going on but hercules is to my knowledge an outlier. Now? Everyone in camp has some special power. Flight, fire, necromancy, hypnotism, dream walking etc. However it's happening, half bloods are slowly but surely getting a lot, lot stronger every century that passes. Meta? I mean I guess. But.
What no one has done before is something that their godly parent couldn't.
Except.
Except Percy.
Except Percy, in tartarus, at his mental, emotional and physical limit, controlling poison with his mind, overpowering the goddess of poison in her home, making misery choke on misery. Feeling something in his chest crack. Doing something poseidon could not, and doing it better than the person who could.
Down there, hidden away from the gods, he evolved. For that brief moment, he did something, was something new.
And that was how the gods overthrew the titans.
And that's why they must never find out.
#In terms of extrapolating meta 'percy Jackson unknowingly being maybe the first of a new generation of increasingly powerful#Half bloods that would be in line with overthrowing the more powerful but complacent olympians as the next in the long line of toppling#Ancient and established lineages of divinity' has to be one of my favourites. Give it a few more centuries and they might actually be in#Danger lol#And the olympians would NOT be happy but would they solve the issue at its roots and stop having kids? part three of the reverse odyssey au! polites' pov this time, cause I thought a constantly changing motive explanation would be fun
1/2/3/4
||
Later, they find that it is the prayer of a terrified Elepnor clinging to the mast that saved them.
He'd called out in fear in the prayer he'd heard the most, growing from a boy of ten to a youth of twenty in the Trojan War, under Odysseus and his quick, odd prayers to his patron goddess- and half-surprised, half out of reflex, Polites had thought later by the look on the goddesses' own face-
Athena had answered.
She'd guided their ship to shore through the storm, somehow, and then stood at the wheel, taller than anyone Polites had ever seen, straight-backed and proud. Staring at them all as they slowly got to their feet, bowing and muttering prayers under their breath as they prostrated, more than half of them trembling in fear.
They'd all known their captain was blessed by the Goddess of Wisdom, in a way that was more than a mere touch or grey eyes. All known the way he'd sometimes stop talking and stare into the distance, and bark out orders for a convoluted, twisted, wonderful plan after.
Polites had known it was something more the day his friend had stumbled out of the forest all those years ago, silent as an owl and grin sharper than it used to be. Eyes no longer Hermes' kaleidoscope-amber ones that hurt to look at, but a gleaming silver that struck you still where you stood to listen.
But this was still more terrifying than any battle they'd ever faced.
(He saw so much of Odysseus in her, even standing still, that it hurt.
They had been so close.)
"Owl Lady!" Telemachus cheers, and runs out from behind his mother's skirts to the Goddess of War. Penelope makes an aborted movement towards him, dredging up some mortification beyond the haunted expression on her face (if only they'd had one moment more, to grab each other's hands even a little, if she'd just grabbed at him tightly, if they hadn't forgotten to get rid of that accused windbag-) at the way Telemachus runs to Athena with even less fear than his father had, grinning wide up at her as he hugs her shins in greeting.
"Telemachus," She says, bemused and fond. Her voice is... familiar, actually. Polites can't place it for a second, until Penelope makes an odd choking sound next to him and memory assaults- of Odysseus running around shouting with joy after his son's birth, proudly showing him off to everyone around as if he looked anything more than a raisin, Penelope tiredly laughing as she lay against the pillows. Of him suddenly pausing and turning to the strange cloaked woman in the corner and dragging her out into the light to gently hand her his son.
"Odysseus," she'd hissed, sounding panicked, yet he'd just laughed and shifted her hands to support Telemachus' head. Polites and Penelope had frowned at each other, confused, but Odysseus had only teased the woman about a newborn baby being the thing to scare her and offered them no explanations, and what the fuck, that had been Athena.
Penelope's eye twitches a little bit, some of the heartbreak clearing up in her face in favour of a strong wish for strangulation. Polites empathized. What was wrong with Odysseus.
She stares at them now, expectant, and Polites realises what she's waiting for the same moment her lips curl into a sneer of rage. Shit, right, she and Odysseus had had some sort of falling out after the cyclops-
"So," She says, dangerously low. "Does the King of Ithaca think himself more powerful than the Goddess of Wisdom, that he spurns my presence in such a way? Or-"
"He's been taken by Poseidon."
Polites doesn't know the words come from him until Athena swivels her head around to face him.
Oh fuck.
He takes a shuddering breath as he pushes himself to his feet. Glances out to the side and feels his heart drop at the unfamiliar waters, so far away from-
He turns back to Athena and gathers his courage. "Poseidon appeared before us, one year ago. Demanded reparations for the hurt we dealt to the cyclops, his son."
"So then why target-" Athena cuts herself off, teeth gnashing. Her hair starts rising, even though there's no breeze, feathers appearing across her visible skin. "I had rescinded my blessings from him! For this very reason, so Poseidon wouldn't-"
She stops talking with a hiss, pinching the bridge of her nose in barely contained fury. Polites' breath catches. She'd taken her blessings back- to protect Odysseus, of course, her feud with Poseidon was well-known to everyone and anyone, so the ocean god wouldn't take it out on her favoured.
Did Odysseus know that, Polites wants to ask her, remembering the absolute mourning devastation on his friend's face for that one day before it all went to shit, but knows it won't help anyone.
He swallows and continues. This part is going to anger her beyond anything, he knows. "Poseidon cursed him into a creature of the sea," He says cautiously, watching strange colors dance across her armour in her growing anger, looking less and less like a woman as he spoke, eyes glowing fire-hot. "His legs melted and turned into the tail of a fish, and he no longer could breathe above land, so we had to put him in the sea. And-"
His throat closes up, and the sailors around wince back, gathering Telemachus and pulling each other away from the wheel, knowing what's about to come.
"And?" Athena says, deceptively calm, as she watches them stumble away from her.
Polites gulps and feels tears run down his face as he says it. "And he ripped out his tongue."
Athena screams.
||
After they've all wiped the blood from their ears and eyes and huddled down in the belly of the ship, holding onto each other until they've stopped trembling-
They're going to write songs about that scream, Polites thinks vaguely, staring up at the wood. His hands still are shaking. The rage of Athena will be recorded for the ages, in songs and poems and books.
Still, he can't bring up any secret resentment against her for nearly killing them- he felt the same, that first day, when he'd found the bloody tongue on the deck and had vomited over the side of the ship, sobbing.
Odysseus, his silver-tongued friend, wisest of the Greeks, able to talk his way out of anything, tongueless. An unimaginable cruelty, especially to the favourite of Athena.
Although, that was probably why, wasn't it.
They all stiffen as the door creaks and Athena ducks to walk inside. Someone whimpers. Polites doesn't blame him.
She looks at them with Odysseus' eyes, staring around at them once more with a blank expression.
"The continuation of this quest will ruin your kingdom," She says simply, and Polites barely holds back five different protests that will get them all killed.
Penelope stands up, walking to the front. "I will not abandon my husband." She raises her chin, meeting the Goddesses' gaze without fear. "Not ever."
Athena rolls her eyes. Eurylochus chokes, and Polites has to hold back some hysterical mix of a laugh and bursting into tears. Gods, she acts just like him.
"I did not expect you to," She says dryly. "But it will take years, and you can't expect Ithaca to finance your search for that long without a ruler."
Penelope's expression wavers, voice cracking to a whisper. "Years?"
Athena looks remorseful at least when she nods. "Years," She says kindly. Someone puts their head into their hands, but Polites can't tell who, because his vision is blurring out with tears. "He has been blown to the far eastern shores, where the sands stretch over a land a thousand times the size of Sparta. It will take a year alone for him to make it back to the ocean, and Poseidon will fight to keep him away from you all. And by then-"
She closes her eyes and purses her lips, swaying back like someone has dealt her a physical blow. "By then," she continues, steeling herself back to untouchable Goddess. "He will have been of the wild waters for so long that he will be little more than an animal. You will have to catch him, with nets and boats and ropes- and then find a way to bring him back to normal."
They are silent for a while.
"So be it," Eurylochus says, standing up and placing a hand on Penelope's shoulder. He nods to the Goddess, even though he's close enough that Polites can feel him shaking to do it. "What would you counsel us to do for Ithaca in the meantime, Goddess?"
"Ctimene has an equal claim to the throne, as does Penelope," Athena muses. Polites starts and feels the men murmur. Still, who would argue with-
"How will Ctimene rule, though?" Someone pipes up. Nevermind, then. Clearly, Odysseus took everyone's common sense with him when he was rolled off the side of the ship.
Eurylochus snorts before Athena can answer, turning around with a wry smile. "Odysseus may have won us the Trojan War," he tells the lackwitted man. "But never has he once won a single fucking fight with his sister in all the time I've known them. She is a terrifying woman."
Polites feels a laugh slip from him before he can stop it. "She's your wife."
Eurylochus nods grimly. "And I am scared."
"She is rather... shrill." Athena agrees, mouth curling in distaste. "Still, she and you can rule when Penelope is on the waters and the kingdom will not suffer for it. But you cannot both abandon Ithaca to possible invaders."
Penelope sobs and quickly tries to muffle it with a hand, screwing her eyes closed. Polites puts his hand on hers, trying to be reassuring even though his own chest aches. Years.
They will do it, he knows. But still.
"You will find food to eat on these shores," Athena says, turning around. "Ithaca is twelve days west from here."
"Where are you going?" Telemachus pipes up.
A smile props up on Athena's face, small and lacking joy. Cunning and cruel. She still feels so much like Odysseus. "I was dealt a great insult," She tells the child. "And I must return my reply to it."
When they set out the next morning, all the fish in the waters are floating at the surface, dead.

Things I love about EPIC: The Musical
Greek mythology hehehehehhehe (my weakness)
Little Ajax
The slightly different styles in each segment but the overarching cohesiveness
The crew singing choral vocals for Odysseus
POLITES *screaming crying throwing up*
The crew introducing Eurylochus but Odysseus introducing Polites
Odysseus’s ‘Ha ha HA Haaaaa!” What a smug lil $h!*
His whole description of Athena ~ fanboy energy
“Bestest of friends(?)!” “Okay chill kid” ”okay :D”
Polites definitely almost knocking himself out with lotus before Odysseus definitely takes it away like “oh honey no”
POLITES *STILL CRYING AND THROWING UP*
The RUMBBBBLING BOOOOOMS when Polyphemus enters—WOOO YOU CAN FEEL THE FEAR IN HIS FOOTSTEPS (also: heartbeats!)
I’m not a musically intelligent person so forgive me but the way the “take from you like you took from me / gift from you and a gift from me” sounds just makes my brain so happy
If music is math then that is definitely some solid well done math
“Nooooooobody, noooooooooobody, noo~ooOOOOOOOOOOOOH~bodyyyyyy”
“WATCH OUUUUUT!” *AGGRESSIVE CHORUS*
“My brothers-!” yall I’m gonna freakin cry
The visceral death sounds when the club comes out
Polyphemus’s voice slowing like a giant robot powering down to show him falling asleep
The sound slowly fading in as Odysseus takes in the death around him (I imagine he’s looking at the remains of Polites)
The sound Athena makes whenever she appears or disappears (NOTICE SHE DOESNT MAKE THAT SOUND WHEN SHE LEAVES FOR THE LAST TIME! just empty wind…)
“HEY CYCLOPS!”
“The next time that you dare choose not to spare, remember them.” UGH BEAUTIFUL
The growl in “REMEMBER ME.”
Ship sounds!
The entirety of “My Goodbye”. It’s just such a good argument song and I love it so much.
Odysseus’s angry “HEY.” when Athena basically blames the death of his friends on his kindness.
The fact that Odysseus isn’t afraid to absolutely WRECK Athena verbally? She has definitely killed and turned people into spiders for less
You can tell he felt a little bad about it and that she actually was kinda hurt by it too (silence is a heckuva tool)
“Aim for the island in the sky” oh yeah I’m listening to a Greek myth wHEEEZE
Eurylochus slowly getting on Odysseus’s nerves till he literally has to pull him aside and tell him to stfu
No but actually Eurylochus is not being a real one rn he is not being helpful
The wind god ( *0v0*)
“Why are my eyes and my heart and my soul so heavy?” WOW OKAY DANG
Poseidon’s entrance — DANG SON THE POWER OF THE SEA IS PALPABLE
“Ruthlessness is mercy—DIE.”
The crew calling for their captain as they’re taken by the sea
THE AUDACITY OF POSEIDON TO REMIND ODYSSEUS OF HIS OWN WORD—“when does a ripple become a tidal wave/ when does a man become a monster”—DURING THIS CRISIS. WHAT A PETTY JERK (do it again)
Eurylochus try to confess and Odysseus refusing to let him. There three reasons I think this is: 1) he doesn’t know why he wants to confess but he literally does not have time for his #2 to be having a moment rn. 2) he knows what Eurylochus did and is choosing to keep him quiet because he needs the crew not to dwell on this/he’s trying not to punch him in the face. 3) he knows what he did and he’s saying “stfu” as a way of forgiveness. All of these are great options imo
“We couldn’t resist!” “What was it?” “A woman!” “…w h a t. -_-“ my man is fed up rn
“We have to save them!” “NO WE DON’T” EURYLOCHUS WTF IS WRONG W YOU BRO
Hermes’s insane laugh !!!! LOVE
Hermes’s entire song
Rhyming “Be hurt” with “beat her” BRAIN SO HAPPY
Someofthamagic~ BRAIN SO HAPPY AGH
The fight between Odysseus and Circe~ so evenly matched! Wits, power, but she beat him! She beat him even though he didn’t cave.
“I dug the root up w my bare hands!” “Hermes gave it to you didn’t he” “…okay fine yes but rGARDLESS—“
The fact that Odysseus calls Penelope his power
Circe’s empathetic sigh because she’s not a monster, she’s a protector, and her heart has been touched by Odysseus’s earnestness and love for his wife and for his brothers
HER OUTRO WAHHHHHHH

Arcane jayvik epic au
Jayce is Ody they look really similar in act 2 and are both motivated by their loved ones and getting back to them/saving them in some way
Viktor could honestly be a lot of characters, especially how throughout season 2 his character had a lot of changes so if we follow some aspects of arcane with the epic story we could say that different versions of Viktor are different characters at the same time…
like I feel like Mage Viktor could either be Athena or Tiresias since they’re both kind of guides to ody and also Tiresias is a prophet
the herald could be Poseidon, he’s trying to stop Jayce from stopping the glorious evolution so hes being a bitch
S1 Viktor could either be Penelope or Polites. Obvious reason would be that both are often seen as ody’s love interests, though Polites isn’t canon. Also Polites’ death was a big changing point in Ody’s story, like Viktor’s was in Jayce’s. Jayce would also be trying to bring his Viktor back, similar to how ody is trying to get home to Penelope. So ig Polites and Penelope’s characters would be combined for this au
Mel would honestly also work as Athena since she is both really smart and good at war and fighting (you know she would beat the god games in record time). She could also be Calypso but I feel that’s doing her dirty
Ambessa would be Zeus, being a big problem but not the main person trying to stop Ody. Also the disagreement between her and Mel is similar to the God Games
Vi could be Eurylochus since she and Jayce are sorta pals but also whenever they work together things go horribly wrong
Caitlyn could be Circe she’s just giving me those vibes (honestly could switch her and Vi’s roles and tweak the epic story so Ody isn’t the one that uses the other way of persuasion)
Jinx could be Hermes cause she would absolutely be amazing at being a silly messenger god that shows up to help out and also cause chaos. She could also be Aeolus
Sevika gives me ares vibes
Lest as Aphrodite I need not elaborate (not rlly shipping her and Seviks tho but it can be seen as that if you want :))
Silco could be Polyphemus since the eye thing and also being the one to kind of kickstart everyone’s problems
Singed could be Antinous cuz of his role with manipulating Viktor and being the one to really create the herald (this one is kinda a stretch but idk)
Another version of Jayce could be Hephaestus, maybe Giopara (I honestly don’t know much about him so idk if that would fit) or the “dead” Jayce from Mage Viktor’s world
That’s all I can think of right now
All of these are open for discussion and I’d love to hear you guy’s thoughts on this!

Epic Fandom We Need To Talk! (An Open Letter)
As a former survivor of severe Cyberbullying and harrasment I can no longer stay silent anymore. You have forced my hand.
This has gone way too far and I am massively disappointed. All I ask is that you listen to what I have to say. This is no longer a joke as a survivor of Cyberbullying and harrasment I can say that a misunderstanding has turned into The Epic Fandom putting the livelihood and well being of artists in danger. I ask you to be respectful and understand I am speaking from old wounds and experience. Please don't twist my words, I don't support 🍇 or Antinous he is a horrible character.
Tw: Mentions of Cyberbullying, 🍇 and harassment
Dear Epic Fandom,
You are better then this, I know you are. Polites taught us to greet the world with open arms and accept when people make mistakes and stop holding onto are anger. The fandom is growing and we can't stop it but I'm really disappointed in the people letting hate win and turning the fandom venomous and toxic
We are all Epic Fans but behind the glass on your screen there's a person, a person with feelings who you know nothing about. You all don't know the real Melody typing this but your all probably gonna make assumptions based on what you dont know and that is the danger of being online. The person who posted fanart of Antinous and Telemachus you didn't like, they have real feelings. Complicated messy feelings that aren't able to be articulated enough online.
As a survivor of bullying myself my motto is block or scroll. I myself am very uncomfortable with a lot of the ao3 tags shipping Odysseus with Poseidon or Zeus but do I go angrily type on my keyboard? No I don't cos it's none of my damnn business. When I saw that art, I was confused and uncomfortable but instead of being reckless and sentimental I asked for clarification. Taking Polites advice I used open arms and talked about what was bothering me without attacking the artist. Instead of being like Polites you all became Poseidon. Ruthlessness Is Mercy is not the way to go, it's a toxic way to go about life. Did you all not listen to that Thunder Saga and see how it destroyed everything Odysseus had known for the past thirteen years.
You should all be absolutely ashamed of yourself. This is not what the Epic Fandom should be. You don't like someone's fan art ask for clarification and or block. There is no need to be Ruthless and cruel. The fact two genuine heartfelt Apologises have been made and you still can't let it go very much clearly shows your character. You are very much like Poseidon and Zeus and should be ashamed. In Ares words you are all sick cowards. Not only that but you are clearly projecting. I suggest you go to therapy if you think your time in the Epic the musical fandom should be spent bullying and harassing people then leave. The number one rule is that there is always a person behind the screen and that you should think before you type.
I'm still not over the fact how you have twisted and triggered someone's truama. I also can't believe hate is being given after the artist mentioned her experience. 🍇 is not a thing to weaponise. I feel like the Wisdom Saga has made you far too comfortable in how you handle and discuss 🍇. The artist forgot her trigger warnings and wasn't even trying to imply the twisted image you put on her. Also I pointed out she shouldn't have tagged it Epic and apologied. Jorge has made adaptations to The Odssey a piece of fiction. What Jorge has done with Antinous is his own creative liberties. If you can't have sensitive and respectful conversation about something that is still happening to people I don't know what to say. Accusing someone of supporting 🍇 is not okay at all. The artist wasn't attending that way and understands she shouldn't have done what she did but it goes both ways. Look for context before you slam. Judging someone based on an honest mistake and huge misunderstanding is dangerous and cruel. Do you not understand the dangers this could put the artist in in real life. Please have open arms and think before you type. This is a serious topic and not a joke.
Moving on I want to talk about why I think this blew up so bad. It's because Elian was commissioned to do an animatic for Jorge. Listen you all would have blocked if it wasn't for that. I read comments saying they idolised her and that is a really f**** dangerous thing to do. Idiolising someone because they've been noticed or hired by Jorge isn't healthy at all. At the end of the day we are all human beings. Elian is allowed to make mistakes and grow. Outside of Epic this is becoming a massive problem in genuine.
Worse I've seen and heard about Artists like Mirscy and AnniFlamma getting attacked just for defending their friend. I'm sorry are we not allowed to defend our friends now from bullying? I can't speak for them but if I saw my friend getting hated and harassed on I'd be angry too, it's like a natural emotion to feel. Then again you are the same fandom that mocks Eurylochus for sticking up for his crew so I'm not suprised. These artists are human beings and not God's because Jorge noticed and appreciated their work. Stop twisting these artists into people there not.
I'm not Tiresias but I can see Jorge stopping collaborating with artists on animatics if you keep this disgusting behaviour up. Constructive criticism is okay but falsely twisting the image of an artist is not okay at all by doing this you are dehumanising artists and doing exactly what Hollywood does. Jorge will have to stop commissioning people it you keep using the fact he noticed them against them when they make mistakes like all human beings do.
Please do better and stop being Poseidons. An 8 year grudge was unhealthy and got him nowhere. Be more like Polites and Greet The World with open arms. Not everything is black and white. Tik Tok built the Epic Fandom up and you hold all the power.
Stay kind and great the world the world with open arms.
Yours Sincerely,
Melody

Ps: If you send me hate and twist my words be warned I have friends as well. One particular friend was there when a lot of my Cyberbullying truama happened and is aware why this has triggered me so badly and caused an episode.
Attack you will be blocked. I'll also remove reblogs.
Attack and you will be reported.
You don't scare me.
Be nice Epic Fandom and don't become The Monster. I'm willing to have civil conversations but that's it.

"Defeat"
[Heroes of Olympus/Odyssey(and techically EPIC) crossover]
Masterlist
Goofy blurb inspired by this post cause yes
Warnings: Not proofread, nothing else I believe
Word count: 830 words
Odysseus is ready to strangle the Olympians—one by one—for forcing him into this volleyball match. And then the teenagers who are absolutely destroying his crew.
Eurylochus crashes to the ground, the ball bouncing off his head and landing on the court.
The other side erupts in cheers. If Odysseus hears them shout in joy one more time, he might just summon a storm with his anger.
"I think I may have broken a bone," Eurylochus groans, while Polites helps him up.
"Eurylochus, do not—" Odysseus begins, fully prepared to curse out his brother-in-law.
"We will beat them, don't worry," Polites interrupts brightly.
The scoreboard blares 12 to 0.
Perimedes points it out. Elpenor quickly shuts him up.
He glared at the kids across from them. They had been introduced to each other, so he knew all their names and their parents. The first one, and the one who had gotten the most points, was Percy Jackson, a child of Poseidon. He wondered what the sea god would do if he poked Jackson's eye out.
He debates whether it was worth it.
He decides it is. As soon as he got his hand on something sharp-
The others included, Annabeth Chase, was a child of Athena, which strangely stung.
A child of Zeus, Jason Grace. Eurylochus had declared if he hit the blonde kid in the face with the ball, it would be a victory for him.
Leo Valdez, a son of Hephaestus, who clearly was not taking the game seriously. He got distracted by everything and could not stay still for 10 seconds.
Frank Zhang, a child of Mars, who was Roman version of Ares. Odysseus groaned when he was told that there were a different versions of the Greek Gods who weren't very different at all.
And Piper Mclean, a child of Aphrodite. He didn't know how to feel about her.
There a child of Pluto, the roman version of Hades, watching from the sidelines named Hazel Levesque.
He’s a hero, a legend remembered by history, and these children are laughing at him!
Annabeth calls. “You might want to work on your serve. It’s kinda… underwhelming.”
“Underwhelming?” Odysseus snaps, grabbing the ball. He winds up and serves with all the force of a furious storm.
The ball flies sideways and misses the net entirely.
Jason bursts out laughing. “Nice shot! Want me to get it for you?”
Piper chimes in with dripping sarcasm, “Yeah, we can take it easy while you go on a quest for the ball.”
"Perimedes, go get it," Odysseus grumbles.
"Why me?" Perimedes whines.
Odysseus glares daggers at him. Perimedes stumbles to retrieve the ball.
Odysseus growls and tries again. His serve barely clears the net and is intercepted by Frank Zhang, who spikes it so hard it almost knocks Odysseus over.
“You know what’s the worst part?” Odysseus mutters. “They’re enjoying this.”
Annabeth catches his eye, smirking. “We do have a tendency to be good at things like this,” she calls out.
“Yeah, well, so do I!” Odysseus snaps back. “I could sink your whole ship with a single command!”
Leo Valdez, inspecting the ball like a piece of machinery, barely looks up. “Cool story, bro. But this isn’t the Odyssey. It’s volleyball. And we’re winning.”
"You haven’t done anything!" Odysseus retorts.
"Well, neither have you." Leo motions at the scoreboard, barely glancing up.
“You know, we’re having fun. I think that’s what counts," Jason says.
Odysseus turns to his team, who look equally dejected. “Alright, let’s try a new tactic,” he says, trying to salvage some dignity. “We’re going for a strategic play!”
Eurylochus mumbles, “You mean, like hiding the ball in the bushes?”
“No!” Odysseus snaps. “We’ll use the element of surprise.”
Perimedes, finally back with the ball, looks at him skeptically. “What’s the plan?”
Odysseus whispers dramatically, “We’ll fake a serve and then—”
Before he can finish, Leo Valdez, who’s just fixed his shoelace, tosses the ball back into play. The ball sails over the net, and instead of following his own plan, Odysseus dives for it, accidentally bumping it into his own face. The ball ricochets back over the net.
Percy spikes it with ease, and it lands with a decisive thud on Odysseus’s side. The scoreboard updates: 19 to 0.
The final whistle blows. Odysseus stares at the ground, his pride in tatters.
Percy Jackson and his team erupted into cheers and high-fives, their victory sweet and complete. Percy, with a grin as wide as the Mississippi, calls out, “Great game, guys! You definitely kept us on our toes!”
Annabeth, grinning, adds, “And hey, it was good practice for us, too. We’ll be ready for anything now!”
The child of Mars chuckles. “You should’ve seen it, Odysseus. You almost made us break a sweat.”
Odysseus grumbled, “I’d rather face the Cyclops than play another round of this.”
"I wouldn't…" Polites mumbles.
As his team trudges off the court, Eurylochus, still grumbling about his 'broken bone', picks up the ball. In a fit of frustration, he hurls it toward the demigod team.
The ball smacks Jason Grace in the face. He stumbles and falls backwards, landing on his behind.
"AHA!" Eurylochus yells in victory, throwing his arms up, then winces.
Odysseus, struggling to hide a grin, says, “Well, at least we hit something.”
The crew quickly gathers their things and moves away, leaving behind the stunned demigods.

eurylochus smuggles polites out of the underworld :)
Odysseus has left to speak with the prophet.
Most of the crew has gone below deck, seeking refuge away from the faces of the dead that drift in the sea of souls. Eurylochus does not know what compels him to stay above deck, watching the waves of passing spirits, but he does. There are many faces that he is able to recognize from the eleven ships that Poseidon had overturned, though he knows there are many more faces that he will not see, and he mourns not being able to give all of the fallen friends a proper burial.
“What troubles you, my friend?” comes a light voice.
Eurylochus startles. “Polites,” he breathes.
Eurylochus had seen him earlier, a wispy mirage with a clear voice, addressing Odysseus as they entered the Underworld, but Polites is much closer here. Much more solid. Much more difficult to ignore, and with it, the wave of emotions are much more difficult to suppress.
He swallows hard. Here is Polites, drifting by as though swimming on air, with a curious expression and none of the fear that Eurylochus had seen on his face that chilling moment before the cyclops’s club had come down on him a second, and final, time.
Eurylochus’s hand goes to his opposite wrist—two bracelets.
He and Odysseus had each taken to wearing one of Polites’s golden bracelets in addition to their own; it was a sign of remembrance. But Polites bears no jewelry in his current form, nor does he have the cloth headband that Odysseus now wears around his waist, nor the draped cloth that Eurylochus had tied around his.
“Eurylochus,” Polites says, and draws nearer. “You have yet to answer my question.”
Ah, yes. What troubles him; there is plenty to answer to that, but the most pressing, the most current: “Merely the souls we have lost.”
“I am hardly lost; or rather, if we are speaking now, then you have found me.”
Polites speaks as though it is not a tragedy. He is looking at Eurylochus as though there was no true loss to be borne. Perhaps that might be the case from his perspective—it was only a matter of time before they all are laid to rest, to join the Underworld, but not so soon. It would be many years before they would reunite, Eurylochus would think. But he cannot be sure. He is often guided by the crew he has sworn to protect, but they cannot guide him through his current conversation with the souls that have been lost.
“We are not here to stay. Not yet.”
Polites drifts backwards, casual as you please, and Eurylochus has the overwhelming desire to call out, to plead for him not to go. But Polites does not go far. He is a shimmering being, casting a dim light in the darkness of the Underworld, and regards Eurylochus with a gentle smile. “I am here to speak with you now, Eurylochus. Is that not enough? You do not need to grasp at fleeting moments; they will always come to you when you need them most.”
But you were not, Eurylocus does not say.
Polites had no longer been with them as they escaped that wretched cave, entered with the hope of enough food to feed them all, and left with nothing but tragedy and misfortune. Eurylochus’s voice trembles as he speaks. “But I am still surrounded by shadows of those we have lost,” and the dead drifts by in a never-ending stream. “I cannot bear to look at the faces of our fallen comrades, knowing that we could not save them.”
“It is not your fault that the sea has claimed so many of us. It was the will of the gods, and sometimes the waves of fate are as unchangeable as the stars. You have your memories, do you not? Of our friendship, of our childhood, of our travels, of our battles—are they not dearly cherished despite the lack of new ones?”
Eurylochus attempts a smile, as he often had in the face of his bright-spirited comrade, but the expression feels weary. “I would have rather seen you alive, my friend.”
“It doesn’t work that way,” Polites says, voice so very soft, as though he is worried that a louder volume might strike Eurylochus like a physical blow. He thinks that it very well might; it is a painful interaction knowing that, for all the words they might be able to share here, Polites is gone. His friend is gone, and everyone has felt it.
“Everything has changed without you here. I have missed you.”
“It will not be forever,” Polites replies.
He approaches again, swooping like a feather in the wind, offering an affable smile. He is close, so close that Eurylochus thinks his friend could be touched, could be held. Polites almost appears alive, if not for his ethereal glow. Eurylochus reaches out, and when Polites holds out his hand in turn, it does not pass through. He feels his breath stutter on that realization, and grasps on tight.
Eurylochus knows that there is a natural order to the world, that the dead are meant to rest, he knows this well, he truly does—but he has missed Polites dearly. He does not want to let go, but they must leave the Underworld when Odysseus returns. They must continue on their journey, back to Ithaca. Eurylochus knows the dead ought to stay in their realm, but there have been so many losses along the way, and Eurylochus is just a man.
With swiftness, Eurylochus pulls his friend aboard.
—
that’s all i’ve got for now!
this was pretty fun- kind of stretching my writing style to sound more formal-ish(?)
anyways, might post this on ao3 eventually but what happens next is eurylochus keeps polites as a stowaway until they’re out of the underworld. odysseus discovering him probably goes something line this:
polites: hi ody!
odysseus: *absentmindedly* hi polites
…
odysseus: *double take*
odysseus: POLITES??
odysseus: what?? HOW??
eurylochus: *the picture of innocence*
alternatively:
odysseus: what do you have there?
eurylochus: *looks at polites* a smoothie
(note: character designs are based on this post by @awnrii bc the idea of eurylochus and odysseus incorporating polites’ outfit into theirs has been emotionally wrecking me-)

Ok, so Epic the Musical AU that spawned in my head less than 24h ago. I'm thinking of calling it something like, "The Travels of Penelope of Ithaca", or wtv.
Anyway onto the fun stuff:
yes it has an OC in it, cope.
basically the jist is that sometime after literally every other greek has come back home, the crew has gotten stuck at the Lotus Eaters (iirc it was almost a year in the original), some god(ess) or other, I'm thinking either Hermes or Hestia, appears to Penelope in a dream like "yo, your hubby is alive, he's just stuck bc Zeus and Poseidon are mad at him" and Penny, being the amazing Girlboss™ that she is, she's like "I have find my darling husband" and jumps on a ship to look for him.
EXCEPT.
The suitors are still drooling after her, so she's like. Alright fine. Accompany me on this journey, and "when" I find "proof" Odysseus is actually "dead", I'll marry the bravest one of you. (So I can have a disposable crew AND off the suitors in the same way!)
So basically, Penelope is experiencing the Odyssey backwards while trying to meet Ody halfway 😃
also about my oc. Ahem. She's an orphan kid, same age as Telemachus (10~11), during the siege of Troy she accidentally bumos into the crew because her dad used to wear a headband, so seeing Polites she starts running towards him, momentarily forgetting her dad is dead, and Polites is just like "well, I can't NOT take care of this kid" open arms and all that, ya know.
Anyway, because domino effect, this also segues in Astyanax not dying (as well as Polites and Eurylochos, the rest of the crew is still boned), Andromache and Cassandra coming along, and Polites and the rest by proxy gaining Hestia and Artemis's favour.
one last thing is that when Penny bumps into the sirens, she sees Odysseus (obviously 🙄), and because in my variation sirens can shapeshift, and when they do, they gain partial memories of that person (all the better to trick you with - although not always accurate - looking at you "me and our daughter"), so Siren!Penny and Siren! Ody end up because a couple in the background. They're not like, a villainous couple or anything, they're just chilling and thinking about future Siren!Telemachus (or hey, maybe THEY will end up with a daughter who knows - AARGH now I'm making an AU of an AU).
Tmw your love for each other is so strong it accidentally creates a monster clone of yourselves...
Also Hera is so inspred by their dedication to their marriage she starts endorsing them. Aphrodite too.
Also also they end up keeping one of Polyphemus's sheep as a pet. Because fluffy.
#thank you for coming to my ted talk#well less of a ted talk and more of an adhd obsession fueled word vomit#ill make art for this#someday#probably#maybe#hopefully#my post#epic the musical#odysseus#penelope#telemachus#polites#travels of penelope of ithaca au#my post (epic the musical)

Imagine being on the ship with Odysseus, Eurylochus and the crew. Part 3
Thanks to @bluepickle36 for reminding me, I forgot to post it LOL Anyways enjoy!
Part 1, Part 2
• While searching for food on the lotus eaters Island, Polites found a weird looking item, he wore it and he's vision got better. We never knew what it was...
• Polites was kinda in charge with the time/date/year so when he died, we lost track at some point, because everyone was bad at math including Captain...
• We were almost at home, some of our crew already spotted Ithaca from afar, we were smiling almost crying even. Some of us wanted to wake up Captain and tell him that we're home, but some wanted to open the bag of treasure instead. We asked Eurylochus what we should do, but he opened the bag instead...
• After Captain opened the wind bag to escape Poseidon and we got on Circe's Island, Captain was quiet, The crew was also quiet. Not until Eurylochus spoke, but he was cut off and got ordered to explore the island if it was safe first. We didn't say a thing to Captain, we let Eurylochus tell him the truth instead.
• While Perimedes and Elpenor were talking about Captain being different since we left Troy, someone heard them and quoted Perimedes saying "Gimme that baby and I'd yeet it off a tower".
• Elpenor was teasing us and making bets who would get drunk first at Circe's Island. At the end he lost, he was the first one who got drunk.
• This DUMB ASF Elpenor is a moron. We were yelling at him to get down from the roof but he was too drunk to listen, THEN he slipped...
• Captain and Eurylochus was so pissed off. Down to 42 men I guess...
• We stayed on Circe's Island for a few days or even months, not sure, were bad at math.
• One other reason we stayed at Circe's Island for a while is because of Poseidon, we were afraid of the waves, we can feel his anger by how strong the waves collide with the sans and rocks.
• We mostly ate fruits and vegetables because the pigs or animals Circe has are mostly...People. We tried to reason with her but we were afraid of her magic...
• Some of the crew saw Elpenor in the river of souls while we were at the underworld.
• After the encounter with Scylla, we hesitated to hold torches up when It was dark, when we needed to bandage up Captain.
• Someone actually suggests going back to Circe's Island for food after Captain was stabbed, because we lost most of our food rations after Scylla attacked. But someone spotted an Island, blooming with cows...
• Someone pointed out the statue of the sun god but, they were ignored because everyone was so focused on the cows.
If you guys like a part 4, go like and comment or if you want you can request a new "Imagine if" thing, if it's good I might think about making it!
Let me know if I made a grammar or spelling mistakes!

Fantasy-medievalesque smartwatermagic au 🫣👀
"Lou."
Lou let out a gasp, pulling on her curls as she slammed her shoulder to the heavy-set doors locked on them.
"Lou." Hands were grasping her arms, trying to pull her away, to pull her further into her bedroom-turned-prison.
It was bad enough that her mother was missing, that Lou didn't know whether she too was under house arrest or she had been killed.
But she had also been locked inside her room, her impending coronation hanging over her neck like a guillotine as enemy soldiers waltzed inside the palace and seized the country.
Another gasp tore through her throat as she pulled on the doorknobs.
She didn't have the education to run a kingdom; she wouldn't even be expected to.
She wasn't Queen Hecate's heir, that had been—
"Lou!" Alabaster manhandled her back, hugging her tight and close to him.
"Don't go," she sobbed, burying her face on Alabaster's shoulder. "Please, I can't—"
"Oh, Ellie," Alabaster cupped her face. "You know I have no other option. I would not be able to see you hurt because of me."
She wasn't even of age yet. How would she be able to govern the kingdom with no guidance?
Especially with the Olympian alliance firing or executing almost all of their mother's court and appointing people from their kingdoms instead.
They had been holding out their own pretty well in the war, or so Lou had thought. Until Alabaster's letters home started only being addressed to their mother, until they got less and less frequent and their mother started preparing for surrender.
The worst part? It wasn't enough the occupiers stripped the palace of anything valuable. They demanded Lou's brother, too.
Wow. Minus one day into her reign and it was already awful: Her mother dethroned with her fate unknown and her brother whisked away to a foreign kingdom to serve as a political prisoner, be killed or plenty of awful imaginary Lou's mind came up with.
Alabaster was the crown prince and the general of their armies. She didn't want to know how King Poseidon's court would receive him.
The impending feeling of doom clawed her from inside out, the walls of her room closing on her. The portraits of their family hung on walls stared at her as if they wanted to laugh. "Please."
She knew it was futile.
"I'll be fine," Alabaster kissed the top of her head, dusting off his now wet shoulder, "we'll both be fine."
"How?" Lou demanded, crossing her arms.
Alabaster's face fell before he tried to hide it with the fakest smile Lou had ever seen from him. He adjusted his signature ponytail while sighing, and retied the handkerchief of his shirt. He slumped for a second before a determined look washed over the sullen expression of his face.
Three knocks to the door made them both jump in their place, their hearts skipping a beat.
He fumbled hastily with the pocket of his outer jacket as he took out a shining object. "Here."
Lou's jaw fell, "But that's—"
"My crown. And now you're the queen." Was that supposed to be an encouraging smile, Lou couldn't help but think as she grasped the crown handed to her, "Besides it's safer with you."
"The ships are leaving now!" A gruff voice called out.
"Coming!" Alabaster scowled, sending dirty looks to the door. He sighed. "Hold fast, Lou. You will do a great job, that I am sure."
She wanted to cry, to scream, to dig her nails into her brother's arms and never let go.
She shut her eyes in pain as Alabaster grabbed his bags and walked towards the door.
"You will not need those." The same gruff voice sneered, accompanied by the sound of the doors unlocking.
"Fine!" Alabaster's bite echoed in her ears.
She snapped her eyes open as sounds of footsteps started to fade after the thud of the bags. "Wait! Alabaster! Stop—"
The last thing she saw before the soldiers closed the doors back on her was Alabaster's small final wave.
-------
Gentle crashing of the waves sung to Lou's ears as the representatives of the different kingdoms disembarked from their docked ships. It was the first year of peace after the war, and it would be Lou's first official time hosting an assembly like this.
"That one is Lord Apollo's," Lady Palas commented, pointing to a yellow painted ship with a gold plated mast, "the one next to it, is from King Hephaestus and Queen Aphrodite. Do not mention Sir Ares to them by all means."
Lou hummed at her advisor's words. She wasn't the one her mother had, of course, but a minor nobility sent by Empress Athena as a show of goodwill. Same as all the soldiers left by the Olympian alliance to help her keep the peace in the first days of her reign.
Hah.
As if.
Did they think she was dumb?
"—King Hades didn't come as per usual. Do not take it personally, he has not showed up for anything for the past twenty years. Queen Demeter declined to attend her daughter's 45th birthday celebration." Palas continued, "Oh and. Your Majesty, if I may? Do not forget your lines."
"Wouldn't dream of it." Lou forced out. Sometimes it seemed like the only thing they wanted her to do was bow her head and stick to a script suitable for the interest of everyone but her kingdom.
She wandered her gaze on the assembled royalty, nobility and their companies. Half of them were the ones who gleefully looted her palace and the other half were their children and heirs she last saw when was ten.
Her eyes stopped at Prince Perseus and Princess Annabeth. She knew they had been betrothed for years and that they had gotten married in an alleged giant spectacle mere days after the war ended. Possibly to distract the citizens of Athena's empire and Poseidon's kingdom.
Not that she or anyone else from her kingdom had been invited.
They were quite cute, she supposed. With their matching crowns and the way they leaned into eachother and the soft laughs directed to something the guy in their midst— No. No way.
Lou's stomach plummeted as she drank up the face of Alabaster. Never mind that she could barely recognise him.
He had his chin hooked on Perseus's shoulder, his arm linked with Annabeth’s as his eyes were downcast and his head half-bowed. Lou wouldn't be surprised if it was because of the weight on his head, what with the way his brown hair had been brushed until it shone crimson red, woven with gold and silver threads and pinned on the top of his head into an elaborate, intricate bun. A mock-crown made of flowers and gleaming metal adorned the top of it, pearly strings with jewels attached dangling from the ends to his collarbone. A silken blouse decorated with ribbons and bows hung loosely on his frame, a gem-embroidered waistcoat buttoned on top of a tight-laced corset.
He didn't have the scrapes and tired look he had when she had last seen him, in fact she would say he scarily resembled one of her old childhood porcelain dolls.
She felt sick.
"Anything wrong, Your Majesty?" Lady Palas smiled, saccharine sweet.
"My brother." Lou hissed. "I asked you, you said—"
"To have your brother on the guest list would require to have an Alabaster Torrington on it, Your Majesty. We do not."
Lou couldn't decide if the crown on her head or the one in her dress pocket was the one heavier.
-------
Alabaster blinked furiously, staring from his perch next to the window as servants rushed from one place to the next in the courtyard and the other occupants of the room was trying to settle in.
"You know what I hate? Seasickness." Annabeth groaned from on top of the bed.
His homeland. This was his homeland and he had only seen his own sister once.
Perseus's laugh and following banter with Annabeth ringed in his ears until it toned itself out as Alabaster dug his nails into his aching scalp, trying to breathe in and out.
The way Lou looked at him was going to haunt him in his sleep, he just knew it.
He flinched as a hand grasped his own.
"Al? What's wrong?" Perseus lifted Alabaster's chin, concern oozing from those sea-shade eyes.
Alabaster averted his gaze, leaning into his touch while he faintly pointed to the opposite wing of the palace showing from the window view. "...my childhood bedroom. That's the royal quarters."
Understanding dawned on his face as something akin to guilt flashed inside Perseus's eyes. "Oh, jewel. Come here."
Alabaster let Perseus wrap his arms around his waist, and practically drag him to the bed. He melted into the soft fabric, only letting out a quiet whimper when one of the pins holding his hair together pressed into his scalp.
Annabeth rubbed her thumb on his cheekbone, "Need any help with those?"
Alabaster bit the inside of his cheek, lifting himself slightly as Annabeth positioned herself behind his head without waiting for an answer. He sighed in relief as Annabeth and Perseus gently took out all the pins, jewellery, flowers and other sorts of ornaments one by one, fingers carding through his hair, tension melting from his neck and shoulders.
They would drift off to sleep soon, Alabaster no doubt settling into their embrace as he regularly had done for a year now.
For all Perseus and Annabeth couldn't help his situation, they were warm enough, even though they wouldn't be home.
Alabaster had missed that one.

Man I think I’ll like writing this story. Wait my- my- my hands a moving again
Chapter 2: Lotus
As Odysseus and his crew get ready to part with the island another one of Athena’s disciples runs up to wish them luck on their voyage. “Diomedes!” Exclaims Odysseus is a friendly tone, “ ah the great titan slayer!”
“You’re to kind Ody it wasn’t that big of a deal-“
“ I heard that you stabbed Ares,” shouted a crew member in the back of the ship, “I thought he was a son of Poseidon,” exclaimed another as others came to their opinions on the action. “You’re all too kind but I’ll reassure you it wasn’t some great feat it was just a spare between two soldiers.”
“Is that so,” chimed Athena. Diomedes began to open his mouth before realizing who was speaking to him, “ I- uh, who might you be?”
“Pallas,” grinned Athena. “AH! That’s right, it’s been years since we last met. Sorry for the slow realization my dear friend!” Eurylochus peered over the crew at Diomedes now seeing Athena as a non threat to his captain and friend. “ But like I said Pallas, I’m just a soldier. The ones we should be celebrating are the ones who can’t be with us, or their families. The greatest of which being that old dog Achilles. May he rest happy with Patroclus.”
“Indeed brother,” smiled Odysseus, “Well I guess we better head off gotta get back in time for my son’s eleventh birthday!” Exclaimed Odysseus with joy. A shallow groan swept across the crew as this would now be the 324th time Odysseus has mentioned his family to the crew, most of them hoping he doesn’t pull out the mini photo album he keeps in his pocket again. Athena stands tall against the crew as she smiles amused by Odysseus’ love.
(Now listen to Full Speed Ahead)
Polites then approaches Odysseus pondering, “what’s got your mind all tangled Odes.”
“It’s nothing Polites, just thinking.”
“ I don’t think that’s it.”
(Now listen to Your Light (cut song))
As Polites retreats back into the sleeping quarters of the ship, Athena emerges into moonlight. “ I’ve grown quite fond of him. He’s good for you Odysseus, lets you release all those negative thoughts you refuse to talk about.”
“I’ve known him for longer than I’ve known you. It’s easier for me to be more open with him.”
“Don’t say that too loudly or else Apollo might try and come find you once he gets his power back. He likes people like you,” Athena smirks. “Hay! I happen to have a great wife with whom I’ve had a beautiful baby boy.”
“Yeah, yeah, it was just a joke ody.”
“ I know I just wanted to talk about my gorgeous wife and wonderful son again.”
“ Of course foolish me,” Athena smiles.
“ Also to be honest I don’t get what you meant by that, but sensed it was a kind of joking insult.”
“ I meant that you’re honest, and that’s a great trait to have.”
The light of the next day rubs the faces of the crew as Odysseus and Polites gear up to land on the island. Athena suggests that she should go along with them but Odysseus insists that only he and Polites search out the island.
(Now listen to Open Arms)
Athena waits at the ship growing both concerned for Odysseus and impatient as a new emptiness makes itself loudly known to her and those near. Once she sees Eurylochus showing the same signs of concern she approaches him and says she’ll check out the island as he waits on the boat. Eurylochus at first protests that he should go search but then realizes it would be better for him to stay, to keep the crew under control. Athena traverses through the foliage of the island happening upon the Polites and Odysseus hanging out with the Lotus Eaters surrounded by, to her, normal looking food. She then becomes irrationally irritated by Odysseus’ seeming disregard for his and Polites safety, and the growing pain in her stomach which causes Athena to activate her powers on accident through the extreme emotion.
(Now listen to Warrior of the Mind.)
As Athena’s power wears off she begins to approach the duo asking what’s taken them so long. Polites then points to his new friends and exclaims, “ There’s a cave full of food to our east!”
“And it seems we’ll need it,” says Odysseus pointing to the glowing seeds inside the Lotus. After nightfall back on the ship Athena pulls Odysseus from his bed waking him in the process. “Listen Odysseus, you need to be more cautious next time. I don't want you or your crew to be killed because you were too open, especially you. When we get to this island, take more men and weapons with you to be safe, I’ve got a bad feeling about this.”
“Understood Athena.”
I’ve already started work on chapter 3 😭
