i have decided to be the change i wanna see, so lets do a nice little thing for each other, as a community full of incredible and talented writers. yes this is writer specific only, but thats cause thats where the main problem of people not interacting with creative works lies in this fandom as far as i can tell and have seen people talking about it especially in the last couple of months

and just in general.. leave people comments. leave them asks about their projects. just go over and gush about their work. i know it sounds embarrassing but writers love nothing more than to hear that someone likes what they are doing. if you find a fic that hasnt been updated in forever, comment on it. it might just be the spark the author needs to continue. while kudos and likes are nice, and just as valuable to some, its definitely in the words the people leave for them that matter the most. im not saying this to put pressure on anyone, its just how it is, and i feel like unless people are writers themselves, and even then sometimes, thats just hard to grasp, especially if the writer is a smaller and less popular one who doesnt get a lot of traffic in the first place

i think thats all. just be nice and considered to everyone, reblog peoples works, this post with others add ons and so forth. and if i find anyone talking shit here or at other writers for something they share, you'll be blocked and im probably taking your kneecaps. be fucking nice. we are all struggling here and we need to stick together

It’s me again, i said i was doing one every month and i meant it. (Hopefully this will spark some of you to make a post like this too). Same as before this will have what i read from them but many of them do make other amazingly good content so be sure to check that out. Hi! It’s me again, i’ve done this for about four months now i think (can’t really remember) Basically i’m here to remind you how much you writing means to all of us. Writing is fun to do and it should always be something you do because you love it, and we love it too!! I read very often it’s probably what i do all day most days. I truly truly do appreciate all you guys do for us readers! You don’t have to write but you do and it means a lot. Fanfic is an escape for most people including me and it’s nice to consistently have fanfic to read. You guys are so extremely talented and i love all you do. anon again. i'm sorry that i keep coming to you with this depressing messages but you seem like one of the few sane ppl in this fandom and i appreciate your honesty.

truth is im feeling really disillusioned with hellcheer lately. we don't have a lot of "canon" content so after a while, it gets tiring going thru the same 2 scenes over and over again (especially when one of them involves chrissy's death). ive been relying on fandom but it seems like it's slowed down. fics arent updated as frequently, not a lot of new artwork.

heck, even joe and grace have moved on. joe's career is taking off. grace is leaving acting. it just feels like everything that happened last summer has come to an end :(

Unfortunately its the way things go, especially with small ships, especially especially in a fandom as hostile as this one is. People come together and build community and share their love for characters and then g(r)o(w) their separate ways again.

But not everybody does! You and me, for example. And ive got plenty of hellcheer mutuals that seem perfectly content to draw, write, and rb their little hearts out.

I for one am absolutely astounded that theres even a fandom for hellcheer, let alone one with such talent and breadth and depth of love! Our characters had 2 scenes. Our girl was killed just as it all began. Our boy died with her name on his lips. In all likelihood we will never see them together on our screens again.

But somehow. Those ~10 minutes managed to foster an entire community of people and keep us engaged and in love w the characters for almost a year at this point! With no dangling promises or false hope or anything! Like we all know the score and we still go hard for hellcheer. Incredible.

Idk maybe it's just bc ive only had brainworms like this for 2 other ships and 1 of them is even smaller and the other one is a clusterfuck of unimaginable proportions, so im a little biased in terms of community/fandom, but im just like... idk. I think its really incredible thats all. And a testament to the very real power and truth of hellcheer 🥰

All i can say anon is that the best way to keep a fandom/ship going is engagement. Likes on tumblr and kudos on ao3 are great. But whats even better and more motivating (and i say this as a fic writer/meme shitposter so im speaking the total truth lol) is reblogs and comments. Tell people how much you love their work and how much it means to you, it goes a very long way. And on the flip side of that - stay out of the infighting. All it does is sap your mental energy and the fandom infighting bullshit is a major contributor to why people leave. The negativity and bitterness warp your perspective and make it really hard to remember what we're here for - it's not anti-st*ddie or anti-qu*nn stans or anti-anti-hellcheer or what the fuck ever. We're here for hellcheer!

Hi Ive been trying my best not to bombard everyone with all the drama and everything, I know I talk my shit a lot about the whole "call-out" situation and discourse in general cuz I have a lot to say and Ive never been the type to bite my tongue.

But I just wanted to set aside some time to say how much I appreciate everyone who has taken the time to understand and support my side of this, and understand how much I have grown and changed since the things Ive said in the screenshots. It genuinely means the world to me to have people like that in my life who allow me to make my mistakes and learn from them without boxing me in by my past. And for the people who have reached out to me throughout everything and heard my side, I also appreciate you very much

And I'm so very grateful to see people, outside of the situation, speaking up about ableism in the Creepypasta fandom, and giving space for an important conversation about how people mistreat and dehumanize people with disorders that don't fit in to their standards of whats deemed "good". I'm glad to see the room for improvement being made, and people being so kind and understanding throughout everything

I think theres a lot of negativity in fandom spaces sometimes and I know I do my fair share of contributing to that through shit like discourse and whatever, but I just wanted to take some time to sorta speak on the good things Ive seen recently. Its so easy to complain about things, and sometimes we need to just be a little bit more understanding and kinder to people in our spaces.

I love so many things about the Creepypasta fandom, and I'm very glad I stepped away from the communities I used to be apart of and into a space where I can share about my interests and passions. Theres so many wonderful people here, absolutely talented artists and writers, and I see the regulars around a lot, and its just a crazy community experience Ive never had before

What do you like about Lady Dimitrescu 😁

Sorry it took me a while to reply, I could write an essay in response to this lol. To keep it short (kinda), she is just everything I love in a villain basically.

First I do love her lore and personality; love her huge ego and how unafraid she is to flaunt her power, and how she doesn't bend to anyone (except Mother Miranda of course, and even then she speaks her mind freely in the church cutscene, so she's not wholly submissive to her superior either; I always love a female character that refuses to be put in her place and is prideful to the extreme). She's unapologetically cruel and monstrous, but she is shown to be capable of loving others, namely her daughters (and she seems to have a sincere respect, if not fondness for Miranda as well, at least before everything went to shit). I love her loyalty to her family, but it was also her blind loyalty to Miranda that ultimately led to the demise of the entire House Dimitrescu. Love the tragedy of it all.

And her backstory intrigues me so much! I wanna know how she lived with her blood disease and what sort of impact did it have on her life pre-cadou, how she came to know and work for Miranda. Did she ever want children and asked Miranda for them or was something that she decided in that moment they woke up? Theres so much to explore in her character but in a way I'm glad these things can be kept to our imagination and thankfully a lot of talented fic writers in the fandom have explored these themes.

She has a mysteriousness about her and a certain way that she carries herself, in no small part thanks to Maggie's amazing performance both as VA and motion capture, seriously bless that woman! She moves gracefully and gently, reflective of her size; And even when she is attacking ethan. she rarely loses her composure.

Of course, I also love her aesthetic (hence the existence of this blog) and how much it suits her character. She's a visibly older woman, she's beautiful, intimidating, mysterious and so expressive. Seriously her face can tell so much and Capcom just hides most of it away, it's a crime.

and while not originally part of the reason I took an interest in her (even though the vibes were always there… the sapphics know), she's a lesbian (at the very least her writer has made it clear he wrote her with that intention, and that's pretty much all the confirmation I need). She makes her life, completely woman-centric, idk for me this is refreshing.

So yeah I like her a reasonable amount you could say 🥰 definitely don't think about her at least 20 times a day

8. Is there anything I wish people would write more about in fics? (A dynamic, an exploration of an arc, just a character that doesn’t get much screentime, etc)

i mean. theres not a whole lot of fics out there and honestly i cant complain too much about what we got! There's a lot of characters i would love to see written/written more (Leigh, Tubbs, Moonbeam, Alex and Dale, Frankie, Danielle etc) and we are in desperate need of some Lonesome Dreams fics but i of all people know that writers are at the whims of inspiration and bursts of writing passion. and again everything everyone has made has been really good!!

9. Is there anything in general I wish more people in the fandom talked about?

Just lonesome dreams. in general. i know its vague and weird and disconnected from the rest of the lore but man. i love it dearly and wish we had more to work with and/or talk about it more. Huron my dear friend huron

15. Is there something I wish someone would draw as a fanart?

oh i have. MANY images in brain i wish i could draw or could transmit into my brain directly. i have ideas for ones that were the characters in the outfits/styles the band performed their songs in (either in the MVs, on stage, or in promo stuff). also got a few for like different character drawings based on non-LH songs that i think fit them. i would make it if i had the patience to draw but alas

4. My favorite fanart from the fandom

theres SO many good ones man dont make me chose. we dont have much in terms of content but we are BLESSED with some of the insane artist talent in the fandom. I wont pick a single one and instead will list a couple really good ones: Zani's art of Frankie and the DMH scene, Rook's POTU furry art, lizormianillustration's frozen pines art (any time they post LH art you can hear the fandom scrambling over to it lmao), and i cannot find the fucking art/blog for the life of me but this dead man's hand one that i know is on tumblr SOMEWHERE. and of course both the halloween Frankie Lou and the Let the Devil Come art you did are SO good. there's defintely more i cannot remember if its not mentioned know i love it

Is there any common fandom etiquette of if/how its appropriate to offer to beta read a fic?

Theres this fic im absolutely obsessed with, the writer is clearly talented, the way they set a scene is wonderful. However there is quite a few spelling/grammar/ sentence structure issues, like at least 2 or 3 per paragraph. I'd love to beta read it for them because i know those type of mistakes put off a lot of readers but I'm autistic and don't want to come off like i'm saying their writing is shit.

I don't think there's a consensus.

The easiest approach is probably to leave them a comment about how much you love the fic and then throw in a "If you ever want a beta, I'd be happy to!" at the end.

you're genuinely a great writer, and you've improved a lot since i've been following you. you're really very talented! you get low engagement because you write for a rarepair, in an already not-so-big fanbase. the whole thing with fanfiction is that people read about what they know, stories that expand the media that they already like. if you want to write about something you're passionate about: continue going the way you are. you're improving, and learning, and getting experience. if you want engagement, write for a popular fandom. you have to choose your path. i understand it's frustrating, but not even the most skilled, perfectly articulate and endlessly evocative writer can get engagement in a tiny fandom. 's just how this works, man. it sucks.

the thing thats mostly frustrating to me is that the interactions have stopped almost entirely. that they used to be there once. yeah most notes in any of my posts are still my own reblogs, but there used to be actual interactions there. there were tags in reblogs. there were reblogs and likes. now theres barely anything when i do share something

like yes i get it, this is a very small rarepair in a niche fandom, and im not expecting a lot. im expecting the bare minimum above nothing. and for the most part there isnt anything there anymore. i know theres a lot of reasons for this, and im not blaming anyone or whatever, i dont want it to sound like that - i just want to be seen and i dont think that should be too much to ask even in the case of a small rarepair in a niche fandom

that being said, yeah no im not changing anything im doing. this is where my passion and my heart is and this is what i enjoy doing and what makes me happy. i never wanted to be "popular"; again, i just wanted to be seen. and seeing the curve of interactions going down from the previously already small numbers just makes me sad. ive thankfully gotten into the mindset of wanting to really only write for myself and one other person who i know genuinely likes my work, and thats good enough for me. which i guess is contradictory to what ive been saying, but i think despite that im allowed to be a little sad about this whole thing. i think every artist just wants to be seen and heard at times, no matter what

look i absolutely love the creativity in this fandom and i do not mean to step on anybodys toes whatsoever w this but. i feel like a lot of warriors maps nowadays have like. nothing to do with warriors?? like i get that there are AUs n stuff and thats ok, AUs exist in every fandom. but i feel like there comes a point where a thing becomes so disconnected from the source material that it stops being an AU and starts being its own original story. and i see this a lot in the maproject community specifically

and again, theres nothing inherently WRONG w wacky ooc canon-divergent AUs like that, and ive definitely reblogges/retweeted map parts and animations for these projects bc again, the animators in this community are so incredibly talented and their work deserves recognition. and im certainly not going to stop following ppl for smth as silly as contributing to a map that i personally dont like. i just wanna know like....why do these map creators/writers keep using the wc name if their AUs are so far disconnected from warriors at this point yknow? like i get that fandom content generally gets more views than oc content but like. some of this stuff might as well already be oc content w the warrior cats name slapped onto it.

omg anon thanks for reaching out again!! also dont think i saw the rules cause i only ever open tumblr at night (not that its an excuse). i found her fics while digging through tags and just followed her right away, i usually like or reblogs even followed blogs to keep the post from disappearing and comment later after i read/checked the whole thing out 💀 i get her point, i totally do and i guess as much as i love her works/writings theres nothing much i can do when thats how she views silent readers/blogs. i was actually about to check her whole blog after that rin fic but it was just so late and i ended up falling asleep lmaoo i feel sorry for both of us help me t____t its a shame that it has to be like this because theres so much more form of appreciations to writings and arts on tumblr. now i not feel bad for all the writers out here in tumblr because a lot of creators here are so talented and i would totally want to see them grow. i hope that they know that :(((

THE 👑♦️ WRITER!!! I have no idea what they're controversial for but YEAH. They were my first exposure to Cater's identity within the Fandom and it rlly screwed with my perception of him at first... and it didn't help that everywhere you go it seems to be the same thing. I was once going to write fanfic about him with the same plot as all of them... and then it just kind of got boring to me. We have such little content of his character since he avoids being vulnerable at all costs— but why does he have to have Riddle's backstory with a fresh coat of paint on it? In some way or another, his mother pressures him (along with his sisters) harms him, hates him??? his FIRST birthday card says they're getting BETTER at being LESS pushy. and if you think for 2 seconds his life can already have tragedy without going Riddle's life levels of extreme.

A lot of people seem to forget, or willingly DISCARD the fact that he's had to uproot his life repeatedly for all of his life in favor of an abuse plot. That he can't keep friends because the moment he loses contact with them there's a phusical disconnect that severs them, so he prefers to keep his relationships shallow so it doesn't hurt HIM. There's no one talking about the way the magic of traveling and seeing new sights slowly dies and turns into a slog of landscape when you finally realize "this is going to happen again, and again, and again, and theres nothing I can do about it but nod along to another 'Sorry, kids!'" there's nothing about him breaking down and putting his foot down and REFUSING to pack his boxes because he doesn't want to move anymore. There's nothing about the dread of internships coming up, having to do the same song and dance all over again with Night Raven College.

no one talks about the possibility that he might not know HOW to settle down anymore. that he might not know how to talk to someone deeper than surface level, because he's been avoiding it for so long. he wants to have a place to call his own and never leave, but at the same time, he's so used to coming and going, he can't find the breaks to stop.

People are a collage of the people they meet. And Cater Diamond is just that-- but he's met so many people, carries so many fragments, faces, that he might just not know what to do with them anymore. Jamil describes him in an event as fitting a soft pink scarf because he gives of a calm older sibling vibe— where did he pick that up? From handling Heartslabyul, from placating Riddle. Hell, Trey’s been his roommate for two years.

He has so many talents. His capability with people— ever noticed how he has no connection to Riddle aside from also being Trey’s friend, but somehow he's basically in the same position as him, by Riddle's side? He did that on his OWN, without the childhood friend groundwork. Taking a look at his bedroom, you can see he has a professional camera and a corkboard with pictures on it, it's a serious hobby of his! It's not just magicam he likes. He likes skateboarding, so much so that he's good enough for it to bleed into broom-riding. His chibi rides the broom like one, and Riddle, again, recommends going to HIM for help with broom flying. It's somewhat implied he only recently picked up guitar as a new hobby (for pop music club) and that he doesn't practice much since they just fool around by gossiping and snacking. his friendship with kalim and lilia is just another thing that makes me go whebrbsjsjdb

Some people/writers have written that since he 'wears a mask' he has to be lying about EVERYTHING. I've seriously read about him only learning guitar so people like him or that he does magicam for the numbers (partially true, but again, the photography hobby) Cater fools people with the mask SO MUCH, that they can't even see him as he is lmao 😭🙏

the mask is not there to avoid people peering into him— at least, not primarily. it's there so HE avoids getting attached, because he knows it's going to end.

you don't even have to read in between the lines for cater. you have to look at the fucking spine of the book to see anything about him, but people would just rather thrust an abuse plot that has no real substance with the source material... I guess it's engaging.

His backstory

The tragedy of the fact that he essentially becomes like his bullies by throwing his power around in turn

His complicated relationship with the twins

The tragedy of the fact that Azul has never experienced love and acceptance from anyone outside his family, always met with cruelty and rejection, causing him to become jaded towards the notion of sentimentality and hide his attachments to even things like his own restaurant with claims of being in it for the money

His work-ethic

He gets flustered by compliments and it's so cuteeeee asdjhfd,gjlksds

That scene with his baby pictures after his overblot and he's so embarrassed RHAKJEDFuhksrjg

The tragedy of the fact that Azul is so insecure despite all his talents. It's never good enough. It never will be. He's easily jealous (see book 6 with him and riddle) because he's so used to being mocked for being bottom of the barrel that he's always afraid of going back there.

I'd have to say Cater just bc WHY IS HE SO IRRELEVANT TO THE PLOT??? Like genuinely hes such an interesting character and for what... literally nothing would change if he wasn't there other than like someone else would paint the roses

and there's this (suuuper controversial from what ive heard) cater x vil writer and their portrayal pretty much became the main one for cater and tbh i just really did not vibe with it and it permanently soured his character for me bc i consume more fan-content than canon nowadays so fanon has a major impact on whether i like or dislike a character bc it'll be the source of most of my content (because let's face it there's DEFINITELY more fanfics than vignettes for the characters)
