he's about to head out the door when someone blocks him. the blonde blinks, the grip on his bag tightening. oh brother. he looks up . . . and up some more before meeting the face of a guy he'd never seen before. at least he's sure he hasn't. koda comes here most days, he would've remembered this guy . . . he's only really attractive. then suddenly the strangers hand is gripping his face, well, maybe gripping was a strong word. koda feels himself freeze, honey hues blinking rapidly.

koda thinks he hears the guy mention that he has something on his face . . . it must be chocolate from his pastry. but all koda can feel is the stranger hand on his skin. koda knows he's burning up and the guy can probably see it too. if the dude wasn't so tall he might be able to scurry away. forcing his gaze on the other he blinks when the hand disappears. he should thank him, otherwise he'd be walking around with a face covered in crumbs. but no words come and koda just nods awkwardly. no wonder i can't make friends.

Dazai canonically rambling about his loved ones at every possible opportunity is so dear to me.

Mori knew a lot of the things he did about Oda because Dazai told him. Akutagawa also knew about Oda and how important he is to Dazai because of Dazai's ramblings. Random, unnamed PM members know about Oda being very dear to Dazai, because Dazai praises him and talks about how great he is.

Chuuya knew straight away that Dazai had been speaking about him to the ADA. It wasn't something he expressed feeling betrayed or suprised about. It was just an immediate understanding that of all the ways they could probably have known about him and his ability despite it being confidential information in the PM, Dazai's ramblings were most likely the reason.

The way that Dazai speaks about Ranpo to quite literally anyone who will listen. To Fydor, to random cops, to Atsushi.

Dazai canonically brags about the people he cares about in an 'omg omg omg my person my people I love them look how amazing they are' way.

getting emotional over footage of an amateur scuba diver interacting with a coelacanth. they are hunted by large deepwater predators, and here comes a large creature bearing the brightest lights it's ever seen, making strange noises, but it does not shy away. it hovers, calmly, as the diver reaches out and trails a hand down its back. im strongly against the anthropomorphizing of real life animals but the stupid emotional part of me loudly insists this is because it recognizes us, the alternating movements of its four paired limbs matching the diver's four paired limbs, & it is thinking, "hello, cousins, we missed you these 66 million years, it's so good to see you again. welcome back, welcome home."

Edit since a lot of people seem confused - your "real" name is the name that you want to be referred to in real life. It doesn't have to be your legal name. So if you're trans and you have a different name to whats on your birth certificate, even if not many people call you by the name, it still counts as your real name.
