this is my first time hearing of this so i dont know if theres like some other context related to this im missing (or if this message just happened out of the blue) but i dont really wanna know either way.

i would like to at least hold out hope that nothing bad happened until it is confirmed (do not ask them what happened, im sure its stressful as it is) but that is not to say that i invalidate the people who spoke up because im sure they have their reasons too but we do not know what happened and we cannot know what (again do not ask what, we are not entitled to that information)

i want to believe in both sides. i don't want to end up being the kind of person who doesn't believe in a victim or is against a person who didn't actually do anything wrong, so im going to be patient and if nothing ever gets said about it thats fine too

do not speculate. what comes out of it could be aiming pitchforks at someone who didn't do what you think they did, or bringing out someone's trauma over something all over again because you want to know or you think oh maybe this could be why so and so happened

this is my own opinion, but id say to withhold any judgment and thought you might have on this until we get a confirmation. this is not to say that you can do whatever you want with this information after, because that is not true at all.

feeling uncomfortable regarding it is valid, im not saying you cant have your own opinions over it, id just prefer it if people could treat this sensitively, and with respect for the other members to not try to find out more then what has been shared, nor overly target people over something you do not have confirmation over

im sorry as ive been repeating points a lot, but ive seen people acting really disrespectfully to all the people involved in something similar to this because they want to know, but they do it with zero regard for the person on the other side of the screen

(this is more referring to people asking those who were friends to that person about it but it was a really bad situation overall, and they were attacking them when they didn't get a response out fast enough without considering that they'd just learned that someone they cared about was a terrible person and needed time to process that. now in this case its not fully confirmed but i really dont want to see that happen again.)

i just didnt wanna assume anything. this isnt to say that i didnt trust in what evidence they saw that made them conclude that the accusations were credible, it was just worded in a way that sounded very vague, and as a person who would like to see the goodness in everyone i tend to stay in denial about these kinds of things because i want to believe that they are not that kind of person, at the very least until its either admitted by the guilty party, or theres a credible statement from the victim

also it might feel like im understating things with how i describe them, thats my bad. i usually describe things in swear words but considering hermitcraft has a mainly young audience im trying not to and it also feels a little inappropriate over a serious topic. but it means i default to referring to something as 'bad' or 'not so good' which can come off as like im trying to make it seem not as bad as it actually is which isn't true at all. im just trying to be really careful about how i word things or what i say considering this is a serious topic but it means im not sure how to describe it so i end up going with what i default to outside of swears.

um. also please dont go asking for proof from the people affected nor the hermits cause i really dont think its appropriate and could lead to triggering them further. its also very personal.

i emphasize my point as a person who has also gone through bad things, and trying to look back through those old messages were really triggering and it was just not a good time. i imagine it was rough enough to get screenshots of what they did get so please leave it alone. they went through the trouble of sharing it in public, you are not entitled to more

and i get it might be rough to trust CCs after having your trust broken with one being revealed to be a bad person but PLEASE do not accuse other CCs of the same behavior. they are just as shaken as you that someone they thought they knew could be like that. please leave them alone, thank you.

mcyt'ers being revealed to be less-than-great people is not a rare thing, sadly, but i've seen it turned into a joke/meme/trend in other fandoms. this both minimalizes the actual people's/victims' struggles, makes the entire situation feel less serious than it is, especially to outsiders looking in, and makes everyone in the fandom look immature, petty, unable to take anything seriously, and genuinely harmful.

okay, when you guys argue it’s honestly more cute than anything because you’re both so protective of one another. neither of you wanted each other to join the scouts because it was so dangerous but, you both joined anyways obviously. oh my god, you guys non-stop bicker when there’s a mission! and don’t even get me started if you get put into different teams😭 you start TWEAKINGG. after he finds out he’s the attack titan, oh it gets 10x worse. his absolute biggest fear is losing control and hurting you - he’s already so conflicted, confused & felt like an outcast. he definitely lashes out more and becomes snappier than usual but, it does come from a place of sincerity.

when this happens, you just leave it be. as soon as it’s not just bickering anymore, when a voice is raised or an insult is made, you just leave it. you understand he’s going through a lot and just needs a minute but, TRUST ME! when you walk off, you make sure it is known that your feelings are hurt.

you both love each other very much but, goddamn you’re both so up your own arses! you are the ‘smart couple’ you are both strategic and witty and have your own way you go about things. so, when it comes to deciding whose plan is better, you always think yours is better and admin thinks his is better. this has (and probably always will be) the main root of your arguments, tbh. nobody likes to get involved either because if someone picks a side then even more havoc will break lose. the only people who’ve ever come between you two is: mikasa, levi & erwin.

it’s just like a debate, you know the ones on jubilee where it’s just people speaking over each other with different facts and sources? literally you two. you both would keep going until the end of time if you didn’t need to sleep, eat and drink water. it’s never that serious at the end of the day, you both love each other and i GUESS you can appreciate each others plans albeit you both think yours is better.

wash the damn scarf. that is all you ask of her. she has literally never washed it and you love but jesus christ, stink LINGERS. not only do you think it’s weird she doesn’t wash it but, it’s also from eren… now, you know mikasa’s lore, of course. however, it’s really hard to get over your girlfriend having this deep love for this smelly scarf that her ex-crush gave to her after he literally saved her from being kidnapped. at first, you try to ignore it but it gets to a point where you sit down and talk to her but, she is not having it. she clearly cares very, very deeply for this scarf and will defend it. it’s really awkward conversation that slowly turns into raised voices and some opinionated things being raised.

“why are you getting jealous over a scarf? that’s so stupid! i just have fond memories with it!”

again, not so much major arguments but just bickers. it usually starts as a joke but slowly but surely divulges into an argument about something stupid. one time, someone ate the last of jean’s meal that his mum made for him and he saved until today, obviously he was super upset and jokingly you blamed connie. at first, all was well, laughs were being heard and he even poked fun at you but, somewhere along the way it became more serious for you two, you genuinely suspected connie of eating jean’s meal and connie was getting visibly more upset.

“that was so not me! why are you telling them that?! i didn’t eat it, y/n!”

jean regretted asking who ate his food.

jean is unfortunately a jealous guy. not for any malicious reasons, he’s just a bit insecure gang! he’s more scared that you’ll leave him for someone ‘better’ more than anything but, these feelings of insecurity manifest as jealously. he’d get jealous over you spending time with people like eren, mikasa or armin. in so many aspects, they’re better than him (in his eyes) and this will just make him reallyyy pissy. being in an argument with jean is painstakingly ambiguous like he never straight up says it, it’s always sly remarks or dry responses from him for a while. eventually, you know something is up and question him but he will avoid answering like the plague and it’s just so, so frustrating! eventually, when you break your calm demeanour, he will also break his ‘nonchalant-ness’ and just shout about how he feels.

he crossed his arms, “i just don’t understand why you need to be around him so much, you have me?”

absolutely nothing. i’m sorry but, she is too sweet and loving. IM SORRY, i’m sorry… i tried so hard to think of something but this queen is too perfect. at most, she would snap at you in high stress situations but she would never turn it into an argument. for example, if you told her to slow down her eating because you’re going on a mission but, she hasn’t eaten much that day she may snap and tell you to “let her do what she wants” but, she’s sooo quick to recover and apologise. literally not even giving you a second to even think about arguing with her!!

“ah, i’m sorry. you’re right, i don’t wanna be sick while flying through the air, huh?” she pouts.

you’re both from marley, you know damn well what you’re doing here but it seems reiner is straying off path. you’re there to try and remind him why you’re there and this leads to so many arguments. his split personality also plays a role in the arguments because it’s so.. scary and confusing for you because one moment he’s defending eldians than the next, he’s shouting at you about how he ‘knows the plan’.

when talking about stuff like this, since it’s extra sensitive for reiner he definitely flips out. i’m talking shouting, angry grunting, clenching his fists into balls and holding them against his forehead so he doesn’t fully crash tf out. he’s just as confused and scared as you are about his split personality but, he doesn’t want to seem weak or to seem like he’s losing sight of what is ‘right’ - it gets him really worked up. obviously, you stand your ground against him, he doesn’t scare you when you’re arguing. you’ve known him for so long.. you feel like he just needs to be guided.

“when did i ever say i liked them? yes, they’re okay people to be around for now but— no, i never said that! i know what they are, you don’t remind to tell me, y/n!”

just the fact she’s cold and distant, it makes it really hard to actually have a relationship with her. at first, she was closed off COMPLETELY but cracks began to show and eventually, you thought you were at a good point with each other but, you kind of realised you didn’t know that much about annie. you try to ask questions to get her to open up but, she is one tough egg to crack so eventually, you just ask! hoping to help her more than anything but, this leads to an argument…

after this first argument, it became pretty regular like once every few weeks this would happen. you get super frustrated because she acts like she doesn’t even care! so, you’re shouting and getting really passionate while she sits there, looking pissed off and bored, rolling her eyes and scoffing. she doesn’t see the need to open up to you, she’s done what she thinks is ‘enough’ in her books.

“what do you want me to say? i’m not an open book, that’s just how i am. we’re all gonna end up dead, anyways.”

sigh… oh bert. every time you feel yourself developing further into your relationship with bert, his friends seem to pull him back. you’re still not quite sure why and they always seem to be giving side eyes or glances when he talks about his life - its starting to piss you off, rightfully so. you feel like he’s got two other side hoes watching yours and his every move! you being this up in subtle ways as to not seem like a crazy, jealous partner but eventually you burst and tell him how you really feel.

arguing with sweet bert isn’t fun because you can tell he tries so hard to please everyone in the situation, whether it’s you, him or now in this case, his friends too. he will raise his voice but, not in a bad way just in a general sense, things are getting heated, his voice will raise and he will fling his arms and hands. he’s a very expressive man when arguing because he is so passionate about it.

there’s so such things as arguments in your relationship, erwin likes to call them ‘mutual disagreements’ as your both in the scouts, he knows your time is limited. it’s a morbid and pessimistic way to think but, you have to be realistic when you live such a deadly lifestyle. he doesn’t want to take your time together for granted - plus, he’s a MAN like, he is calm and collected and will always hear you out.

you both start off calm, having a mature conversation about whatever it is that is bothering you but, when you start getting rowdier that’s when erwin quells the flames quickly. he takes a deep breath, hears you out and calmly walks you through it all. he’s so compassionate about it, i cant omg. he’ll gently place a hand over your own hand or on your shoulder if you’re standing, letting you know he’s present, he’ll sweetly talk you down, eventually calming you down and usually you’ll both say apologises or just general sweet statements and move on!

oh lord, being in an argument with levi ackerman is nawwtt fun. i’m sorry but, i’d kms if i argued with levi 😭. this man has such an awful resting bitch face as it is but, imagine his face when he’s arguing with you? IF LOOKS COULD KILL. he cant hide his emotions, so when you’re arguing even if he’s trying to be somewhat nice, his face says it all. usually he’ll roll his eyes and scoff if it’s something minor, he’ll hear you out, maybe give a half arsed apology or some sort of nice gesture to make sure you’re not upset however, if it’s a big issue oh brother…

silent treatment, i fear. he is so bad at communicating his feels correctly and often feels confused because this mf ain’t been in love before?! it gets too a point where he’s so mad, he just cant even begin to think of anything to say to you. you’ll be there raising your voice, becoming so passionate and when you ask what he thinks, he’ll say “i have nothing to say.” then boom, silent treatment. however, he’s bad with his words… but good with his actions. he still wants you to know he cares, you two could be in the most rancid moods but, you’ll go to your room and find your clothes ironed and folded🥲.

oh my sweet hange, my probably neurological challenged sweet hange… an argument with them would definitely stem from them spending more time with titans than you. when sawney and bean were around, you weren’t getting ANY time of day with them, trust. at first, you didn’t want to say anything because of course, you understand! the lifetime you guys are living in, things like hange’s research is soo important but, you can’t help but feel neglected sometimes.

when you finally bring it up, an argument ensues. neither of you really shout or anything, it’s just that kind of weird sort of raised, high pitched voice people get when you’re really frustrated. you both stay relatively calm for the situation you’re in but, you can totally tell you’re both so frustrated because hange just doesn’t see the problem. when you guys argue like this, it usually just goes in circles and after a while you both decide to mutually give up and leave it for another day.

this is the wowing backstory (everyone say thank you to carmen's big brain!!) to the date and kind of why this felt like a psychological attack beyond the implication that this was A Basketball Date. basically ja'marr flew his ass to arizona for joe because the man was having the shittiest week and was sooooo weirdly messy about it because he posted a vague blurry ass insta story of his location and then deleted it (?????) god what is wrong with him. like the photo was obviously a quick little snap of him in a car with just a location posted in the middle of the night like it didn't matter what the pic was only the location and was posted the minute he arrived (?) like he was announcing where he was for a very specific reason and then deleted it like it served its purpose and he didn't need it anymore. (is that not basic teenager in love 101........)

on joe being miserable -> like joe went to a club and flipped people off and i think one of the events he had was the signing with obj and kd (beloved kevin durant <3 but its sooo random why the fuck was kd there im so confused as to what this event was) and joe's expressions throughout all the videos and photos were either flat as fuck or straight up not-enjoying-shit. the next time he gets snapped in public it's with ja'marr on a basketball court with matching outfits finally smiling and laughing right and doing silly shit like clapping all up against ja'marr's face like a besotted dork......mind you he clapped because ja'marr was on camera probably getting introduced to the stadium so everyone could technically see it so it was like he was teasing the ever living shit out of ja'marr who was trying to be all cool throwing peace signs only to get stunted on by his embarrassing ass man who just wouldn't let him live jesus i'm sorry but i'm genuinely wondering why he clapped that way. look at his impish little smile joe oh my god stop.

but he was really finally acting all goofy and silly and smiling and laughing genuinely when ja'marr showed up and yapped at him!!!!!!! insane. shining example of devotion and codependency tbh.

some Speculation! which i love to do unfortunately for everyone around me:

this was planned from the start way before joe went through apparent hell or something. they bought the tickets way back with dj and sam and this was like the only thing joe looked forward to which is why he was finally smiling and laughing and actually managed to get through the week.

from that event they had together kd gave tickets to obj (pretty sure he was also there but like on the opposite side of the court?? idk) and joe and joe requested/bought more tickets and invited ja'marr and sam and dj because he was in heavy need of Friendship Love Moral Support from his guys. yeah.

(the favorite. the full of love theory) ja'marr found out joe was Going Through It (from joe himself? from obj? from his manager? the internet? other friends? who knows) and flew his ass to arizona having bought the plane ticket within minutes of ending the call/text regarding the joe situation. knew joe needed some refreshing/healing so he searched up what arizona had going on for them that week or he was planning on watching the game from his home anyway idk and immediately bought court-side tickets for the game. invited dj and sam so joe would be surrounded by more close friends who he would feel comforted by. arrived in phoenix in the middle of the night, snapped a quick photo for ig announcing where he was, joe saw it and sent ???????? in reply, ja'marr then deletes the ig story bc he doesn't want anyone else asking shit too, and finally crashed joe's pity party and has him smiling within minutes. am i crazy. yes. am i free. also yes.

THE CLOTHES THING they're literally wearing yellow and purple -> lakers and coincidentally lsu's colors!!! technically suns' too i think. did they plan on matching or did they each plan on wearing lakers colors in the first place (these divas...) and just had that one-brain-ism thing they got going on. ja'marr was sooooo pretty btw 😭😭 his faceeeee the dimple the hairrrr i miss his cornrows he looks sooo good in bright mustard yellow toooooo somebody save me from myself.

OH and dj reader and sam were there too okay 😭 like they weren't there alone. that la lunch date was like this lakers date 2.0 bc they weren't alone damn it but it weirdly seems that way 😭 when you're in love etc. or maybe because they just weren't mentioned as much as these two :( but I'm really pleased that joe could smile surrounded by his teammates <3 joy etc.

That second point yanked Batman instantly and unwillingly by the throat to Phantom's side.

He couldn't speak out knowing the rest of the League wouldn't approve, so he let the discussion run its course, and Phantom was naturally denied.

But Batman is nothing if not thorough, and compiling DNA profiles would also help with contingencies. So Batman discretely reaches out after the meeting to give Phantom his personal permission as long as he provides the DNA samples and that Phantom understands that Batman cannot publicly defend him, but he will mitigate the consequences behind the scenes.

After another biting incident when Phantom is getting lectured by Superman:

"Phantom, you can't keep doing this. This is your last warning. Criminals or not, it's never okay to bite people just because you want to. Control yourself, or you might have to rethink your place in the Justice League."

Phantom staring at his feet and genuinely worried that he might get kicked out. He didn't think it was that big a deal.

Batman walks up and simply states. "He is controlling himself."

"Batman, you call that control? I'm trying to be understanding, but Phantom is biting criminals more than ever."

"Are they still breathing?"

"I don't see how-"

"Are their limbs still attached?"

"What are you-?"

Batman gives Superman a hard look to stop him mid question. "Acording to Constantine, ghosts from the Infinite Realms are creatures that should be avoided at all costs due to their extremely volatile nature. Generally, it's a death sentence to ever encounter one."

Superman turned to the child he'd been scolding, shocked that any of that could possibly be true about his colleague. The same colleague, who was so gentle he almost cried when he accidently killed a spider in the dining hall. "Is that true?"

Danny, glancing up but unable to meet Superman's eyes, "Yea-yeah. Intense violence is actually how most ghosts socialize. Regrowing limbs isn't a big deal for ghosts, so they tend to forget how fragile humans are."

Batman continues with his explanation, "In the Infinite Realms, ghosts have evolved to attack anything that moves as a defense due to how hostile the environment is. Everything from the plants to the very ground could attack at any moment. Their version of compassion is controlling their instincts before the killing blow. The fact that Phantom rarely attacks anybody is a testament to his constant and vigillent self-control."

Danny finally meets Superman's eyes and they are nothing but pools of liquid innocence and shame about his very being. "I'm sorry... I'm doing my best, but my ghost instincts are really hard to control, especially when emotions are high and we are carching bad guys, and I can't help but bite. But I promise, I will never let it go any farther than that."

Intense guilt washes over Superman. He knew how seriously Phantom took his promises. He had no idea he was asking Phantom to go against his very nature. Did Phantom have to hold himself back right now? Superman knew a thing or two about how scarily fragile human bodies were to someone like him. He couldn't imagine having instincts that screamed at him to attack anything that moved on top of that.

Batman turned to his old friend with a disapproving stare. "Maybe learn a thing or two before you judge our nonhuman members. I expected better from you."

Superman placed his hands on Phantom's shoulders. "I'm so sorry. I had no idea. Do the best you can. We can figure out the rest together. Please forget everything I said earlier."

Danny with hope sparking in his eyes, "Are you sure? I know im not perfect, but I want to stay. I really like it here, and I really like helping people."

"Of course. I'll let the others know." Superman walks away down the hall, and out of sight.

Danny grinned, lifted his eyebrows, and nodded toward where Superman ran off to convey his thanks for the save.

Batman gave a quick nod and a tiny, barely there smile of his own. He spoke aloud for the one with superhearing that was definitely still listening, "I apologize for any offense you may have taken. Know that the sentiments of Superman are not shared by the rest of us."

Danny pulled the zip lock baggie out of his pocket and silently handed it to Batman with a grin. It had a napkin smeared with the blood of Danny's most recent biting victim labeled in Sharpie. Danny responded in a wobbly voice that did not match his mischivous grin, "Thanks." He added a sniffle for effect. "I needed to hear that. I'm really doing the best I can, but i guess people dont see it that way."

After this incident, Superman became Danny's biggest defender against the biting accusations.

Danny Phantom, who as far as the Justice League knew was a normal ghost, was presenting a pointpoint in front of the rest of the League. The presentation says, "Why I should be allowed to bite criminals: 1, because I am not human and cannot catch any of your filthy human diseases. 2, because it would allow us to compile DNA samples from the criminals of the world to compare with during crime scene investigation. 3, Fuck you."

kate successfully completes sortin out letters so she heads to the port where jude is talking with the foreman. its there she sort of thinks back on her time at raven co and the long and short of it is that jude, as the ceo, is actually really outstanding, and he acknowledges the efforts of those who work hard, produce results and whatnot, and rewards them in turn.

time skip to night after judes done and they all walkin back tgt where kates like “i think i’ll be able to have a good dinner today” and jude scoffs at her callin her a twit. and shes all defensive like hey whats wrong with wanting to eat good food and judes like when did i say that was wrong?

all of a sudden they stop in their tracks and jude tells kate “on the count o’ three, crouch” and kates all panicked like tf is going on but jude already starts counting down so she crouches anw (in a panic!)

kate and jude get into another argument like “i feel im gonna die every time! im at my limit!” and judes like “well ur in the way loiterin round like that” then jude just yeets off w/o listenin to another word.

When I thought this, I came up with a theory that relieved me of this unsettling feeling.

I feel like when anything happens controversy wise in the mcyt community, everyone jumps to be a part of it, theres this weird idea that if you arent taking action and speaking out then you are complicit in whatever is happening. This attitude is directed at the smallest random blogs to all the ccs. Its like to be considered a good person you have to take action against whatever the new "evil" is or you agree with it. So people grab their pitchforks and go off to hunt anyone who isnt participating in attacking the "bad people". You have to make a statement you have to make sure youre doing your duty, doing your role in defeating the evil. I saw the phrase "this isnt just drama this is abuse and its serious, not a fad" thrown around a lot when shubble spoke about her abuse, except all the people saying it were using it as a reason to attack anyone who wasnt taking action. And most of those people forgot about it already, they dont still talk about it and they dont seem to care beyond being a part of something, so they can pat themselves on the back and say "I did something, I helped defeat evil". I see it all the time whenever any controversy happens for anything Im into and it sucks, people stop being people if they arent doing whatever the crowd expects of them, if you arent fighting and making statements then you obviously agree with whatever the new evil is. Sorry, this is kinda long and rambley but this is a frustration ive had for a while. People forget that people are people, especially the ccs. Tommys evil if he doesnt say how much he hates wilbur , when he makes a song talking about how much the internet sucks hes a hero now because obviously this is his statement saying how much he hates wilbur, and he even made it a song! good job tommy. Lets overanalyze the song and pick it apart till he isnt a person anymore, hes an idea, hes the idea of hating wilbur, not his own person. The song couldnt have multiple meanings or be a complaint about the internet as a whole and his experiences as a whole, its just about wilbur, because thats who tommy is, hes part of wilbur and he needs to say how much he hates that part of himself to be forgiven for the crime of being friends with someone who was bad. Theres no one who was friends with wilbur who isnt a part of him and they all need to take a knife and publically cut themselves apart to proclaim their hatred of him, how they dont want to be a part of him thats just how it is. I really do hate the internet sometimes, it feels like no one is a person anymore except for whoevers hated, everything else is just connected to them, and has to be torn apart brutally by the masses or theyre bad and complicit or your bad and complicit, everyone has to speak out, even the people who just watched his videos, even the people who were friends with him who may be having a hard time, even the people who dont know who he is, even their pets, they all have to make a statment or they are part of him and his abuse.

yes so true and i do agree. this is the case for many and im happy for them. not to be socialist with it but i have no desire currently to return to living alone ever since i started treating my living situation like a form of community bc we are literally in the wohngemeinschaft, the commune, the jersey shore house. we're in the same team... my shipmates... the other castle squires.... i started viewing this whole thing as our shared project so in order to make it work we all have to participate in some fixed rules or routines, take accountability, and have a more generous view of each other, or at least be understanding. at the same time, i never get PERSONAL with it - i dont believe anyones ever attacking me personally when they do stuff thats negligent i keep it very business and free of emotion. we all help each other. we cohabitate. anyways so i think having roommates has been a way of strengthening my ability to be a part of a community. but idk how my roommates are viewing this LOL. that being said, one of my past roommates would leave the front door unlocked every night even tho we had constant break in at our apartment complex like constantly like there were signs up warning of it the cops were always there, one of em got in to a screaming match with her mom every day like clockwork midday above my bedroom while i was doing zoom classes (Quarantine), and one of em BLEW UP the fucking sink like it was CLOGGED it was a mouth to hell she fucked it up so bad. but i know im lucky, its now 13 individual roommates ive lived with in my life and never has anyone truly tormented me or fucked me over, im probably lucky. i want rent to GO DOWN everywhere so more people get the chance to live alone!!

As a member of the Bofurin Pirates, Nirei is responsible for guiding the ship and its course. Even though he just joined the crew, he will sometimes give orders when needed to keep the ship and the crew safe. Nirei is still getting used to having this job, but he's determined to do his best since Umemiya trusted him with the role!

Nirei's room is filled with a jumble of maps and charts of various islands he and the crew have visited. Did you know? that each map is accompanied by a collection of pictures and personal notes detailing unique features and characteristics of each locale?

I'm seriously tired of getting notifications, and being excited, only to see it's a dang bot.

I don't want to say my work is under appreciated because honestly all the avalonxpalladium works, writing and drawings, are unappreciated. Literally have seen amazing stuff, and it gets so little attention.

What pisses me off more is how much love childxadult ships like valtorxbloom and palladiumxflora, get. And things like other queer ships not just avalonxpalladium get like nothing. like even without them being teenagers still those ships are messed up. I know people will always like what they like in that sense, but seriously broaden your horizons too. Like seriously for an enemies to lovers troupe bloom with icy is so much better than with valtor.

I just had a passing thought about my own stuff from an outsider POV. I wondered if anyone who’s not a huge fan of dick questions why Dick Grayson in most of the stuff I post…

One of my mutuals opinions is the "bro code" thing, that Curly is one of those guys who wouldn't care about the victim because the perpetrator is his friend and I'm really banging my head on the wall like that other anon. I've only played through the game once but Curly's behaviour/reactions etc read completely different from the "bro code" thing and I have to wonder if my mutual and I even played the same game.. like the constant digs at him from Jimmy, his body language in his face reveal and so on like you mentioned in your post. While this game is a little different obviously, it kind of reminded of a point in Alice Madness Returns that makes it very clear that Alice's pain blinded her to the abuse of the other children and her failure to act earlier because of it. Curly is guilty of a similar inaction but it doesn't change the fact he was a victim of Jimmy too. I don't think I can look at it any other way because both of these games have really stuck with me.

I genuinely think it really is the idea that people want a simple easy to blame problem and the idea that the only relatable victims of abuse are those that "surpass" it or do a lot to help others. When it comes to victims, especially those that don't fit the typical demographics, who either accidently perpetuate it, enable it or aren't ideal in some way shape or form, people jump to ignore what they went through as it's easier than dealing with those conflicting sentiments.

The bro-code conversation in Mouthwashing stems from a concept I generally dislike that there had to be something about Curly that made him meet or keep being friends with someone like Jimmy. I think people genuinely underestimate how many like decent and good people just know an asshole or are friends with someone who is really bad outside of their view/established dynamics. The game makes it clear none of the inaction against Jimmy is because of a lack of care, it is a lack of understanding from the privaleged postions they have as men to not have to worry about what Anya does/went through and the type of extremes men like Jimmy will go through to cover it up. They are all too preoccupied in their own strifes.

Another thing I see being oversaturated the idea that you have to be a freak, misanthrope or have a disorder to do the thing Jimmy does. The game is an escalation, it's a spiral that I don't see people comment on that Jimmy was not likely having the mood swings and episodes of rage/frustration we were seeing in the game. This is after they all start experiencing the worst moments in their lives that he got THAT openly bad. Of course, this is just my interpretation but much like in real life, people that go to extremes like that usually live mundane lives. It's a pressure cooker affect to where the stress made them pop. It's self inflicted but still the case.

I really think people need to be more willing to acknowledge that not everything needs to be an extreme or in black and white or easy to understand. It doesn't need to be happy or have an answer or solution, especially in the cases where the abused sadly helps perpetuate what they experience. It's not he should've known better from experience or shouldn't he have known what could've happened because victims tend to not like to think in matters of the worst. Not to mention, especially in cases of abuse where it feels so personally directed that you don't expect to happen to someone else.

-Miyata knew his father was right. But at this point, he accepted this truth. He had known for a while. But he needed this fight with Ippo. To him, this fight was more important than fighting Ricardo.

-Miyata’s eyes showed something that scared his father. The eyes of a monster. He had surpassed him completely.

-Kamogawa could see the fire back in Ippo’s eyes. The motivation was burning brighter than ever before. He smacked Ippo in the back of the head.

-“Listen brat. I’m going to tell you this once. You better not lose. I know you feel satisfied with just fighting Miyata again. But don’t you dare stagnate!”

-Ippo did something that shocked his couch.

-“I’m going to win this match.” His statement said clearly.

-Kamogawa was unsure of how to respond. But he knew this wasn’t a statement of arrogance. Ippo was determined to win.

-Takamura walked in, telling the old man not to worry.

-“Your favorite son won’t let you down.”

-Kamogawa was surprised by the statement.

-“After all, IM JUST TOO DAMN STRONG!”

-cue slapstick. Takamura had continued being Takamura and was working to get his 3rd weight class title belt.

-Ippo’s match with Miyata happened to be the undercard for Takamura’s fight with Keith Dragon.

-Ippo told Takamura that he knows he can do it. While the couch leaves to handle some last minute business.

-Takamura looks to Ippo.

-“This place is only for monsters. You want to fight Miyata and win, you need to accept it. Your training got you far. But now you are here, and you need to decide.”

-Ippo hesitated, saying he still human…

-“Do you think a human would have made it this far? This tournament you’re in is nothing but monsters. And you already beat one. That guy was originally second only to Ricardo. And you beat him. You are a monster Ippo. And if you had ANY respect for Miyata or the old man’s boxing. You would accept it!”

-Ippo looked down at the ground. Takamura yelled at him.

-“Well? Are you a monster or not?!”

-Ippo looked up. His eyes showed something that even caused Takamura to flinch. There was the answer. Ippo, was a monster.

-Ippo entered the ring. As did Miyata. Both of them were filled with determination.

-Raijin vs Fujin. The thunder god vs the Wind god.

-The fight began. And it was explosive! Ippo and Miyata were already fighting intensely. Both focused on winning. They could predict the others attacks! Ippo blocking each of Miyata’s hits. While Miyata managed to dodge and deflect.

-The crowd was watching in silence as thunder cracked and wind bellowed. It was like watching a storm. They were awestruck.

-The first round ended and no one had the advantage.

-Round 2 and 3 were similar, but both Ippo and Miyata managed to land powerful blows on the other.

-By round four, Ippo managed to land a fierce gut punch to Miyata. Resulting in a combo that sent Miyata flying into the ropes. Miyata was down.

-Ippo showed no emotion change, he knows Miyata isn’t done. He could feel it.

-Miyata got up quickly. The count barely got to 4.

-Ippo charged, ready to capitalize. But Miyata vanished! Or so he thought. Perfected counter struck Ippo. He was down.

-Ippo quickly shot up after the surprise wore off. He got up at 6

-Round four ended. Kamogawa and Miyata sr. Telling their boxers what to do next. But stopped when they saw their expressions. These two were already mentally preparing.

-Round 5 began and the two boxers charged.

-Sendo commented how crazy strong both of them looked.

-Alfredo appeared in the stands, he says that both of them are far stronger than when he fought them before.

-Sendo laughed. Telling Alfredo that those two are rivals. And that they both grow when they fight. Which is making him excited to face the winner in the finals.

-Mashiba commented that “If you can make it.”

-“Oh I’m excited to fight Warlee. But Tigers eat monkeys.”

-Round 5 endedsimilarly to rounds 2 and 3. But Miyata realizes something, he’s slowing down. His body is starting to feel the strain again.

-Round 6 is when things needed to change. Miyata knew he had to end it in the next 2 rounds. Or exhaustion will catch him.

-Miyata landed a new jolt on Ippo. And it almost knocked him down, but Miyata didn’t expect the counter! Ippo had realized he had started relying to heavily on his Dempsey and even stopped using his jabs. So before his match, he made himself relearn everything from his prior matches. Including refining the counter he once used a long time ago. But this time, he was planning to use it for Miyata’s jolt.

-Ippo knocked Miyata down. And it was almost a 10 count. But Miyata got up at 9.

-Ippo charged as soon as the ref cleared and hit him with the Gazelle punch. Almost knocking Miyata out. But Miyata manage to make it miss the vital spot.

-Ippo was going to end it, Miyata can feel it. But he waited, for Ippo’s strongest punch.

-And sure enough, Miyata got the counter. Just before the round ended.

-Ippo felt the world flash. Ippo could feel his conciousness leaving. This was a heck of a fight. He could fall and be satisfied with how it ended. But that thought alone made Ippo realize… that wasn’t true at all. He’d HATE to end it here!

-Ippo stopped himself from hitting the ground, and from that low position. He hit the Dempsey roll. By pure instinct!

-Miyata couldn’t counter fast enough. The attack was too fluid. And it ended with Ippo’s last punch sending him flying out of the ring.

-Miyata was KO’d. Ippo had won.

-Ippo’s record now 25 wins, 1 loss, and 1 draw.

-The crowd was roaring with excitement. This Ippo was a true monster now. And the crowd loved it!

-Ippo went to check on Miyata after the fight

-Miyata was conscious and conceded that Ippo won.

-He told Ippo he would be moving up weight classes now. He had reached his limit in feather weight. He had for a while.

-Ippo asked why he didn’t do it sooner. Miyata told him. “Because we needed to settle our score.”

-Miyata sighed as he leaned back. He told Ippo that he couldn’t have imagined getting this far without him here.

-“You have to beat Ricardo now.” Miyata told him.

-This was a shock to Ippo. But he asked why.

-“Because I can’t anymore and you beat me. So you have to beat him.”

-Another baton had been passed to Ippo. Miyata’s and Date’s.

-Ippo told him that he would get to Ricardo.

-Takamura beat Keith Dragon easily. In fact, it was easier than in canon. Takamura could see his brother in boxing excel and he refused to be showed up.

-A week later was Sendo and Warlee’s fight. And it was a real bloodbath.

-Sendo was surprised by the absolute ruthlessness of Warlee’s boxing. It made him excited.

-The fight ended up going the distance. Both wanting to win by KO. But Warlee won by a split decision. Sendo was pissed but admitted that he agreed with the refs on this one. If he had just gotten that last hit, he would have won.

(What if Ippo did get to fight Miyata for the OPBF belt?)

-Everything leading up to Miyata’s 5th title defense, but with one change. Miyata didn’t see Mr. Sakaguchi or Randy jr in the crowd.

-Without the distraction, Miyata didn’t struggle and didn’t break his fist in his fight.

-Miyata was still champion and with no injuries, he would be facing Ippo on the promised day.

-Now with no need for an interim champion to exist. Ippo and Miyata are on a collision course.

-Randy Jr. Does show up to see Miyata and tell him the dates BS. Miyata is confused as this is his first time seeing Randy Jr. but brushes it off as not important right now. He has more important things.

-Both fighters are super motivated

-The time of the fight has arrived and Ippo, renounced his title belt. As was his plan with his Gym’s permission.

-Ippo ends his reign with 7 title defenses. Leaving the title vacant. Now taking his next step.

-Ippo is running on pure motivation. And at this time we know what he was thinking

-Ippo planned on retiring after this match. Now would he truly retire? We don’t know in canon. But at this time he was resolute. His goal was to fight Miyata

-Now one could argue he only came to this conclusion while he was waiting for Miyata because of the postponement. But I think this was Ippo’s state of mind. He was always planning to take over his family business.

-Anyway, the OPBF Title match arrives. People are hyped!

-Date, Sendo, Mashiba, and others are watching with interest.

-Coach could see in the kids eye, Ippo was motivated more than ever. A feeling in his gut that maybe this might be Ippo’s final match. Regardless, he was his coach and second. He’d make sure this kid put up one hell of a fight.

-cue flashbacks of the two at the start.

-Miyata remember when Ippo first showed up. Remembering their spars. Remembering the loss that prevented him from keeping his promise. But now, nothing will stand in the way. This is his fight.

-Ippo also remembering his spars with Miyata. Remembering how this was his goal from the beginning. Now, he was ready. The fight with his fated rival.

-The title on the poster, called “Fated” as a reference to the promise.

-The arena was sold out.

-The fight is called, the stadium is packed. The OPBF title match was underway.

-The first round. Ippo didn’t charge immediately. He was being analytical. It was a surprise. Everyone could feel the tension.

-Ippo and Miyata were running countless scenarios in their heads as they prepared. But then, they both began.

-The first round was a tie, no clear advantage.

-Miyata Sr, telling Miyata to keep cool. He has the speed advantage. He just needs to relax. Coach kamogawa telling Ippo to put the pressure on.

-Round 2 was an intense bout. Ippo landing the first clean blow, almost knocking down Miyata. But Miyata was able to fire back.

-The stadium was hyped up. Sendo commenting that Ippo was going to win, Mashiba commenting that Miyata has the clear advantage. Date comments on both their strengths and weaknesses.

-Round 3 and 4 are both intense rounds, Miyata starting to feel the downside of his weight control. Yet Miyata gets the first down on Ippo with a powerful counter. Ippo got up at 7. Ippo had realized That was Miyata’s hidden move.

-Round 5 Ippo gets his first down on Miyata. Barely grazing him.

-Both boxers evolving. Date comments that right now those two were world rankers and surpassed him when he had his rematch with Ricardo.

-Sendo could see it, the fire in Ippo’s eyes.

-Mashiba felt genuine guilt keeping these two from fighting.

-Round 6 has them Both score downs on the other.

-Round 7 and 8 has Miyata taking lead, almost knocking Ippo down. But Ippo lands some nasty liver blows.

-Round 9 and 10 Ippo takes point lead. And it’s still all tied up. Both almost knocked the other down. Both knowing that whoever goes down first would lose.

-Round 11, Ippo and Miyata start going at it harder. Both throwing Everything they got into the fight. Everyone was stunned by the display. Both of them evolved again. Ippo unveiling the Dempsey roll and Miyata showing his unseen punch. They both knocked the other down at the same time! Both by sheer spirit managed to stand up.

-Both make it to round twelve. Both in their mind knowing, this would not end with a decision.

-And they both go in. One final punch to end it.
