After the photoshoot, Jax invited Zooble over to his place. Wind down after all the trouble.

Normally, they would’ve just said no and moved on with their day, but, this time around… why not?

Maybe they’d get some answers. Some stuff didn’t add up.

Zooble looked out the window with contempt.

They glanced down at the crowd of faceless fans screaming their and Jax’s names, singing praises and begging for more.

Those poor fools.

They would never have enough.

They were all just NPCs anyway. It hardly mattered.

But their staring and their screams were still unnerving and grating to Zooble’s being.

They simply closed the curtains, then turned around, and were met by the oversized lagomorph laying down on a fancy couch, drinking wine.

Being at the top of the leaderboard had its perks.

Had the whole place all to himself…

What an ego freak.

“See?” He threw his head back. “I told you the fans would go crazy over this collab.” He took a sip out of his wine and then spread his arms wide. “They’re eating it up!”

Zooble sighed and rolled their eyes.

“As if that’s even a surprise. They’ll eat anything up.” They sat down on a different couch, keeping their eyes on the rabbit. “If you had collaborated with anyone else it wouldn’t make a difference. You’d get the same result.”

Jax went quiet as he closed his eyes, then sipping his wine again.

“Hmm… maybe you’re right.”

He snapped his fingers and pointed at Zooble.

“But aren’t you glad I picked you out of everyone else?”

Was he expecting them to be thankful?

It wasn’t like they asked for it.

It came out of nowhere.

They squinted silently.

“…Why? You know I don’t even care about the numbers. Or being popular for that matter.”

He spun his drink in his hand, reflecting on his actions for a moment.

It was almost like he wasn’t expecting them to ask.

“I dunno…”

He glanced at Zooble, giving a light shrug.

“Maybe I just felt like being nice?”

The room fell silent for a while.

“…Felt like being nice.”

Zooble repeated his words back to him.

It even felt wrong to say it out loud. They immediately dismissed it.

“Yeah, right.”

Jax simply chuckled.

“What? You don’t believe me?”

They shook their head.

“I have no reason to.”

Jax pretended to be offended, gasping and clutching at his chest. What a drama queen.

“Wow, Zooble. I’m hurt.”

They rolled their eyes once more.

“Psh.”

They got up from their seat, walking over to the bar to pour a glass of wine of their own. “…Whatever.”

my take on the steeplechase trio (and montrose’s mask variants)

#my art #taz #taz steeplechase #since beef is an arm wrestler im kinda entertained by the idea that he keeps it casual from the waist down #but all of his shirts are branded beef punchley shirts #i like to think that all of montrose’s clothes are slightly too big for him because he buys them himself #but doesn’t have the money/resources for a tailor #and he can’t go to dentonic bc his uniform is supposed to be something totally different #i kinda struggled with his mask #but i like the idea that it really is a human face but you can see the edges. the metallic parts of the mask. the little glitches #his skin color is always ever so slightly off #also griffin described his actual face as ‘plain’ so imagine he looks like just some guy. a little babyfaced #while his ‘neutral’ mask is just generically handsome #and i didnt draw that but i think it glitches out sometimes and his face goes all wonky #sorry griffin i took over your boy #emerich was probably the easiest to design he just sprung into my head fully formed #i don’t remember if the give-a-ghost projector is actually supposed to be on his arm #but it is now .#also i would like everyone to think about montrose talking about jesus in that dumbass clean job mask please. thank you

It's really been too long but behold the other big protag of my childhood and my favorite lady character of this series.

I've been meaning to sketch her a bit for a comic I may or may not do.

If it wasn't obvious I like Shion's Episode I design the most and will be keeping the goo-goo eyes, I know it's just the Vector work uniform but she looks so cute. I remember how I used to be able to quick-draw it so easily, but now I have much more detail in my sketching.

the elden ring DLC coming out reminded me I've actually had a larger er piece sitting around uncompleted for *checks watch* 5 months so was fun to revisit that a little today hahaha

should i change my headcanons based upon “i saw it in a dream”

#as far as witcher dreams go this one was extremely mid as i actually woke up from it by going ‘but that doesn’t make any sense’#and i should have done that several times earlier #triss dragging geralt onto this cursed ass cruise ship by feigning illness and then lightly crying about it was the most in character thing #the thing is that in the dream the events of it were being presented ‘to me’ as ‘canon’#as in this was a new book or something a la crossroads so this is part of the lore now #so the thing was that geralt had another company in his 20s but they all died/were cursed/some insanity #one of them (and i only remember this bc it was terrifying for some reason) was turned into a tomcat and they couldnt figure out #how to change him back so they left him with other people and came back like 10 years later #it was like he forgot human life and was also a really old cat so they just allowed him to die as a cat #the other ones were not that interesting i think one was a postmaster who did fisstech and the other was a young mentally deficient girl #who had some powers/was a Source but she got betrayed when triss (yes triss was here) basically abducted geralt #and she took him on a cruise ship and then the game vampires (yeah so this is when i was like ‘what’) showed up #i guess they lived on or were haunting this cruise ship #actually was pretty cool because i got ‘POV lady orianna drinks your blood’ i’m OK with that #however regis and dettlaff showed up and immediately started acting like a monty python sketch or something #they kinda entered swaggeringly to start drinking people and #regis was like ‘ok you go around that side of the room and i’ll go around this side and we’ll take a survey’#and dettlaff was like ‘why drink from all of them to judge the taste just take a few … ‘samples’’#and regis went ‘ohhhhhhhh’ and they had this loud conversation in front of a room of terrified humans #and the dream ended with me basically pausing it and arguing to some other people that this can’t happen because so and so #and i started trying to pull examples/quotes about it #this is the most embarassing and unhinged dream i have had about the witcher i’m going to go hide in a hole now #usually my dreams are some semblance of canon or at least what i like and prefer #dude. regis showed up at the end but his game design. and his outfits were ugly 😭😭😭#the elbow-high diaries #oh but the ONE thing that was kind of cool was seeing how vampires are created #they fall from the sky in stormy weather and are invisible to the human eye and then if they come across another they scream them to death #or not death but dissipation and then they absorb the defeated one’s?? traits or whatever #i kind of like my current idea better but maybe this for like a subset of them or something

#im going thru old flipnotes i used to watch years ago and ouggghhg so many good ones #is twenty one pilots still popular.... do people still remember the TRNDSTTER and marble soda meme.........#its like im unlocking some sort of primal part of my brain and everything is coming back to me. one of my biggest inspirations as a kid #i still remember thinking the final transmission lyrics were the coolest thing and watching =TopHat= Bee and Melissa over and over #theres a very specific feeling of longing and nostalgia looking back and watching these again years later #especially when there isnt anything genshin or mcyt and instead its either fnaf undertale eddsworld or another obscure #interest... and not even fnaf sister location its like fnaf 3 and 2. its THAT old. and a lot of oc MVs especially pokemon ocs and furries..#god but they were so creative u know. i still find it amazing ppl took this little lightbox animation on the fucking NINTENDO DS and #cranked it all the way to 11.. like if u look at the transitions and movement its so fucking fluid its insane..!! HOW DO YOU MAKE THE #CHARACTERS SPIN??? AND CHANGING CAMERA ANGLES??? and keep in mind youre doing this all with a shitty stylus #on a THREE BY TWO INCH SCREEN. you only get two layers you can go up to 29FPS and you only have 999 slides to work with #and 24FPS eats up a lot of that. absolutely insane it literally boggles my mind every time i think about it. AND SOME ARE EVEN FULL COLOR #i forgot how popular EDM was back then too...they were really good for timing beats though so you get a lot of MVs with #strobe last and marble soda. porter robinsons goodbye to a world was also popular with undertale and oc MVs. also a lot of vocaloid #someone made a flipnote abt the warner bros fnaf movie being announced EIGHT FUCKING YEARS AGO. it even used the stay calm audio from #the office.... i wonder how theyre doing now... i love you shitty grainy MV audio.. but i have mixed feelings abt the flashing colors #ppl LOVED animating the sans vs frisk fight. aishite and primadonna were also big ones they were SICK AS FUCK #lots of these inspired my old oc designs.. a lot of my characters had side bangs with one eye covered. animal ears and simple eyes too #now i kinda wanna try my hand at the marble soda meme cause i loved it as a kid lol.. i wonder if i should compare my old and new art here #UGHHHH IM SO NORMAL ABOUT NOSTALGIA.
