Putting under a read more cause it’s just a tad bit long

So it’s modern times and in a big city where the cult once was it’s well known that they’re all being taken care of by an asleep gods subconscious. This is the Lamb, who fell into a deep slumber at least a thousand years ago. Their sleeping body is protected by the Red Crown, which grew and morphed into a sort of tree where Bany (My Lamb) rests in its base near the roots.

Narinder acts as an awake ruler, though he’s often silent and always seems to be in a bad mood (can you blame the guy? His spouse is in a coma-). Other important characters like the bishops and such are here too I’ve just yet to figure out where and what they do exactly.

Things get rolling when a high school student (don’t have a name or even species planned yet lol) is procrastinating on a big assignment in which she needs to research a specific point of their history. While she’s trying to have a walk around the city to calm down from her academic panic, she sees Narinder with a few of his usual posse (people who work for him). Not quite thinking straight she rushes over and asks if he can tell her more about The Lamb. The group around him scold her and start to shoo her away when Narinder raises a hand to silence them. He looks to her, face unreadable (though he does have a resting bitch face so it doesn’t help), and then tells her to follow him.

He takes her to the building he works from and instead of going up to his office like she expects, they go to the basement level where there’s a room that’s mostly empty save for the end roots of the Red Crown Tree. It’s here he tells her to record as he tells her of The Lamb and how they came to become what they are now. At one point he says he hopes that Bany is resting peacefully, unaware of the time that has passed.

At the end of the sort of interview, after the girl shakes his hand and gets ready to leave, she stumbles and falls into the roots; Narinder tries to grab her but just misses her outstretched hand. She is bombarded by visions of a vast white void and a lonely sheep. When she comes to she’s on the floor near the roots, Narinder and some paramedics surrounding her. What felt like seconds was actually a good half hour. Miraculously, she has no injuries, despite her being a mortal (she’s not the first mortal to touch the roots; all others had died or gotten severely injured). Narinder asks if she’s mentally alright and she says she saw something, but when he asks what, she realizes she can’t really remember, like a dream that slips away once you wake. After she’s triple checked, she’s escorted back home to a furious yet worried family (mom, parent and older sister; also a baby brother but he’s too young to even know what’s going on).

That night, instead of her usual dreams, she finds herself in that vast white void (suddenly she remembers her visions again), and she’s not alone. The sheep she saw before is staring at her, mouth agape.

its kinda insane that hyperstylization of skinniness is seen as artistically neutral but hyperstylization of fatness immediately denotes it as "fetish material". this isnt even to say it can't be fetish-based, but that it isnt allowed to be neutral unlike skinniness where super exaggeration is just an artistic choice, a style, not a representative of reality and presumed to just be another way to depict skinniness in a recognizable way for the artist's style. but if you place emphasis on a fat character's body features in a specific way, it can only be a fetishistic caricature? not a way to explore the shapes of a body or to experiment with perspective or whatever else you might say about a skinny character?
