I never know what 2 put for these questions bc unless it’s a universally divisive character, the opinions that are considered ‘unpopular’ really just depend on what corner of th fanbase ur in. I guess a constant I see w martlet is ppl just undervaluing her role in the story and ESP her relationship w clover. I really do think mart is clovers favourite person and their bond is at the heart of the game, particularly evident by each routes ending focusing on her confrontation w them on the rooftop. Martlet and clover stopping ceroba together, martlet wanting to adopt clover and lead them away from violence, martlet being the final stand against clover and, as she observes, being the only monster they needed to find a deeper justification to kill (bc everything about her appeals so heavily to who clover is deep down). It’s why I kinda roll my eyes at the popularity of final boss/zenith starlo stuff, it feels like ppl just want martlets role pasted onto him despite that undermining his character arc what who said that

I wish we got to see inside her house!!!! It would be so cosy in there esp with that unused peaceful home track playing. I need to know how she lives. I also wish we got to see more interactions w her and star and especially ceroba before the final battle in pacifist. I find it so funny that one of cerobas battle texts implies martlet is her friend when basically their only interaction prior was ceroba breaking her out of jail only to immediately abuse her trust to take clover away from her. I’ve said it so many times and I’ll say it again the martlet and ceroba dynamic has sooooo much potential!!!! They’re both strongly associated w justice but while martlet demonstrates this value alongside her kindness and reason, ceroba tries to achieve her idea of justice through manipulation, cruelty and tunnelvisioned plans. Do you get me!!!!!!!

Aloth for the character breakdown!

How I feel about this character: Aloth my beloved <3 I love him to pieces, I love how he balances snark with kindness. He's uptight and nervous and just a tad hypocritical at some points, but I find him really compelling in the first game and especially the second game. I appreciate how they handled his backstory, in my experience abusive parents in media often justify a "hardened" character's behavior (when they're really just assholes), but I appreciate how the abuse Aloth went through + the fact he had to hide Iselmyr for most of his life have worn him into more of a nervous wreck than some kind of a "badass", and there are several routes he can take to healing. And I really like how in between games he reconciles with his mom and is straight up like "you don't have to approve and I'm glad I did it" to the Watcher, I appreciate that he has boundaries and it gives depth to his unseen relationship with her. I think he's a flawed and well-rounded character, and even though I went into the games expecting to like him I was still surprised by how much!

There are moments in the second game where I did feel like his... attitude, I guess? was a little much for me. I think in the DLCs especially he suffers from just a little bit of flanderization, where nearly everything the group did he had a comment like "we're not seriously doing this, right?" or "wonderful, another x uncomfortable thing" that give the feeling that he's just being dragged around by the Watcher and doesn't wanna be here. And idk by the end of the Forgotten Sanctum I was kind over it? Like I'm sorry you're not having a good time my dude but nobody is. BUT I try not to hold that against his character bc to me, I more have issue with the quantity of the comments rather than the quality, and I can easily see a situation where the writers wrote his reactions to certain situations in isolation, not realizing that it might be too much when it all came together.

Overall, though, I generally prefer him in the second game and think his second arc was handled even better than his first, both paths are incredibly crunchy.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: ...Is it cheating to say my Watcher? Idk I enjoy his very lowkey Deadfire romance a lot <3 I like how a lot is left up to interpretation re: how far they go in their relationship (with Sabina, at least, I don't think they get very far at all), and it has such sugary sweet vibes for such a dark setting.

My non-romantic OTP for this character: As I mentioned in my answer to this question for Xoti, I feel like the entire Deadfire crew could fit this spot for each other, and I also referenced how much I enjoy her relationship with Aloth. For Aloth specifically, though, I have to go with his bromance with Edér, which really benefits from spanning across two games (and with Matt Mercer having great chemistry with... himself). I also read this great fic a while ago that really sold me on the potential of his relationship with Sagani and Grieving Mother!

My unpopular opinion about this character: I have no idea what ending people prefer for him in Deadfire so idk how popular/unpopular this is, but for me I prefer the ending where he gives up his work dismantling the Leaden Key, mainly because it feels like an immense amount of pressure to place on a guy who seems to be under plenty, and the steps he would have to take take to continue feel eerily similar to how Thaos operated. Plus it means he can stay with my Watcher but as an avid tragedy enjoyer I promise it's not just that it's just a bonus

Also, I'm not a huge fan of the "Elves have a super long lifespan" bc I feel it unnecessarily complicates things and I kinda wish he was just his actual age instead of like 65

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: While I like how lowkey his romance is, I would have appreciated just a few extra crumbs. Also, I would have loved to see more Iselmyr if he didn't suppress her, bc while she's fun and I enjoy her I sometimes forget she's there 😅

My favorite SGA character is Todd, and I’m not sure I can think of a specific something that I think everyone gets wrong about him. I encourage people to have more, wilder takes on Todd. Maybe always pairing him up with John is something I don't like? Lmao, it’s the pot calling the kettle black, but I do wish that there were more fics that explored him in other relationships. They do have good chemistry, so I get it, but I guess I'm just a rare-pair shipper at heart and now that John/Todd is getting more popular I want rarer stuff. 😅

My favorite SGU character is Greer. I do not remember ever reading anything that I felt got him wrong, so... Please have wrong takes about Greer, world. Reading bad takes annoys me and makes me want to write my own fics. 😂

🖤: Which character is not as morally good as everyone else seems to think?

This is so interesting, because SGA is the war-crimes apologist fandom, so I don’t think everyone thinks anyone is particularly morally good.  I’m gonna say Heightmeyer. I can never forgive her specifically for the way she lied to Michael, betraying her profession and his trust, and I was unmoved by her death. I feel like she has a few fans so that’s probably an unpopular opinion.

SGU is a morally grey character hot spot so... Maybe Caine? I think we’re supposed to think he’s “good” but I’m not sure if everyone actually does. I'll say also that Riley is really annoying me on my current watch-through of the series. I feel like he'd be that friend who's always like "we should do this because it's the right thing to do" in whatever situation, when actually it's just the most annoying thing to do.

💖: What is your biggest unpopular opinion about the series?

I’m not sure about biggest… I feel like this is probably pretty niche, but I’ve seen a couple takes about Kolya being sexually abusive to Todd during his captivity. I don't know if people are taking this as a headcanon or just a fic idea... but while I think it’s an interesting idea, I disagree with it having happened. Mostly just because I don’t see Kolya as being a sexual person, I don't get that energy from him. (Yes, he is certainly a sadist, he gets pleasure from breaking people down, but I don’t think it’s sexual for him.)

For SGU, I once got a repudiating comment on a post because I was ragging on the show for having bad writing, but I don’t necessarily think that’s an unpopular opinion. How about, I wish Amanda was in more episodes and I wish there was more exploration of Amanda and Ginn being in the ship. I think Amanda is a fascinatingly flawed character with a lot of potential that is never realized, because of the aforementioned bad writing issues. Stop focusing on her obsession with Rush and explore her general hedonism! (I'm thinking of the episode of SG1 where Daniel gets addicted to the sarcophagus as a model... give us more of Amanda being obsessed with being able to "feed herself" alien strawberries or whatever, and she makes it a problem for the whole crew because she's stopped caring about fixing the ship.) If I'm not going to complain about needing to rewrite the entire arc that ended them up there, I think the show cuts off the idea of Ginn and Amanda being "spirits in the ship" right when it could have gotten interesting, not that that is unusual for Stargate. We can't have nice things 😭 and I would have liked to explore that more as a plot point, and also had more for Eli and Ginn to do. The whole "together but apart" and "dead but still here" thing is super tragic, and I would have liked to get more of it explored through a lens that wasn't just Amanda's obsession with Rush.

animaniacs first: i think it'll be a whiiile before we see another animaniacs reboot, even with the pace film/tv is pumping out remakes. for a hot minute i thought there were plans for another patb spinoff (which honestly i wouldve fucking loved). alas, we only really got those masterclass shorts. fun, but i was hoping it would be followed by more gay lab mice!!!

apparently at least a couple of formal goof troop reboot pitches had been made in the past few years alone, from what i've gathered on social media! AFAIK none have been greenlit. maybe one day max will get his shot at the spotlight again. if that happens, i think we're gonna see a MUCH different incarnation of max.

he was originally a very stereotypical rambunctious 90s kid/edgy angsty teen (as edgy as disney toons ever got anyway). unless they set the reboot/remake in modern times, it might feel a bit dated and played out. i don't think the 90s nostalgia market is strong enough to convince disney to bring back max atp

as for max/bradley, i honestly don't care about it too much. i wouldn't go so far as to say i hate the ship. it just doesn't interest me by default? popular fanon doesn't align well with my tastes. i like enemies/rivals to lovers, but i struggle with taking him seriously as a romantic counterpart in fic/fanart lol. the only versions of the ship i am drawn to are where bradley and max are at each others throats, or through the lens of comedy.

hello I've been an on-and-off CM enjoyer(?) for a decade, with Hotch being my main area of interest… I just spent literal hours going through your blog lol. tbh it was exactly the kind of CM content I desperately wanted but had trouble finding initially (jfc the sea of x reader I had to wade through) anyway I stopped watching full eps at around S5, but I'm aware of how things go for Hotch and I'm v bitter about the missed opportunities. maybe a popular opinion in the fandom, but I've always hated how the Foyet attack was glossed over for example - my disbelief when I first watched 5x02 and Hotch just... shows up to work?? why'd they bother with such a major injury if its consequences were limited to one (1) episode years later, and even then the mental trauma was 99% ignored. no mention of meds/painkillers/recovery? nothing about "your scars are gonna look just the same"?? BUT that almost pales in comparison to all the other Hotchner things you got me thinking about, like his subtle aversion to fire or autistic traits or other facets of his character/relationships that are soooo tantalizingly hinted at but not expanded upon. I don't know the whole show that well so idk how Hotch fared compared to other characters but it felt like we got crumbs, especially since he was there for 11 goddamn seasons sorry this is so long but I've never talked CM to anyone before and you've made me love Hotch even more as a character, and now I'll have to further stew in my despair over him getting zero closure

i have similar issues with the show and fandom. the show looooves to traumatize its characters and then pretend it didnt even happen the second the arc is over. i understand its the nature of an episodic show like this (and i love that style for this show! i do!) but they could MENTION how hotch has scars (especially in season 10 when theyre all comparing scars on the plane) or how he needs medication (considering thats the only reason why they found foyet in the first place). foyet was the first big arc, so i understand why they needed to get on with it and bring hotch back to work by 5x02, but i wish they’d had an extra episode in between dealing with the team’s emotions about their leader being attacked (the way we kinda see them reeling from haley’s death and the potential of hotch not returning in 5x11 (or whatever the next ep after 100 is)).

no matter who your favorite cm character is, anyone can have the same complaint of them not following through about what undergoing these kind of traumatic events would mean for the characters. it’s definitely a sore point with criminal minds. especially because the only time they do it is when they want a character to leave (like gideon, blake, and kate). it fucking sucks bc there’s so much potential

and that’s where i feel like the fandom lets me down too. there’s not a lot of talk about it—mostly it’s just self inserts and shipping. there’s hardly any good character analysis out there, but that’s why i started this blog in the first place: if it doesn’t exist, make it yourself! (i would encourage you to do the same if you still feel this way. i talk shit ab the fandom all day but i still get so much positivity despite that from people who value the characters just as much but express it differently)

It's not that your writing isn't good enough. It's great! I'd buy all of your stories in hardcopy if I could. I think the community for writing especially for independent writers just isn't what it used to be :/ alot of the time nowadays people just read stuff on tumblr and just like it and move on without ever saying anything even in the comments. Rebloging is a big thing and works barely get that. And then on ao3 it's such a vast site and an archive for it's namesake that it can be really hard to find new works unless you're specifically looking for them. Alot of great authors get overlooked because of the way these sites are :c

I really appreciate you taking the time to say all this, thank you. I know it's hard in general for all creators - the internet has changed to be about fast consumption, then we had N/F/Ts, now we have AI... and yeah, being an original creator is tougher than fandom, bc you have to sell a new thing rather than offer potential of characters/ships/worlds people already love. ^^ That said, I'm not even getting the likes on my work most of the time. I get 0-3 average, but most of those notes on my work are my own (mostly) useless reblogs. ;A; It's discouraging every day, and I don't have enough "ups" to justify that I keep trying to swim while the rapids are pulling me toward total obscurity. I love writing, I love creating, but... it's tough to keep going some days, and other days the love for it makes me just go, "Well, I want to share this, I'm proud of this!" Only I feel so much shame when I'm proud of something and no one or only a couple of people even want to interact with it. Even finishing Seasons, the most popular thing I've ever written... I'm pretty sure most people dropped it. That said, most things do well enough on AO3 for me, though I feel like maybe a lot of people who were reading Seasons got disappointed before or because of the end, and they won't want to check out any of my other stories. Lots of anxieties about that. I don't know where I'll stand, but after 14 years of trying to get my work seen and being worse off now on socmed than ever before, and writing for over 30 years... y'know. It's. It's disheartening. I want to do it. I'm glad people like it. I'm kind of surprised that people do, when they do, because so many people were so happy to tell me what I was doing wrong for so long, and my writing has been the center of jokes more often than the center of excitement. ^^; (And there's probably both love and hate for it behind my back alike, but... honestly, I really wish people understood that you gotta express love to writers. Then I fear people will think I'm a hypocrite, but... *stares at my AO3 comments on fics I like* I don't think that's an issue. xD) Also, I'm sorry I am such a mess to the people who do like my work. How I feel about this character LOVE HER LOVE HER LOVE HER, she is so cool and has such an interesting character arc in the game. I remember when she first showed up I knew she was going to be some sort of powerful boss-type character, probably not a final boss, but still high-ranked, and I was taken by how cool her visual design was bc it's so rare to come across 1) Woman as a high-ranking antagonist, and 2) She's got full armor and it doesn't have weird boob-cups. Avlora was terrifying to face in battle too, enough that I managed to yeet myself off the golden route path immediately bc I decided setting a house on fire was better than trying to take her head-on (it was my first run, so I didn't know I had yeeted myself off the golden route, but still). Which made seeing her switch her allegiance to Cordelia, and then later become recruitable (under the right circumstances) absolutely unexpected and so interesting to see, like, I did not predict her character arc's trajectory, but in a good way. Her post-recruitment's kinda wild too bc like, here's the most feared general of Aesfrost's army, now hanging out with the esteemed weirdos of House Wolffort, including but not limited to: Cordelia herself, Roland (who still hates her), Maxwell (wasn't he supposed to be dead?), her former mentor Groma?, why are Norzelia's most notorious thieves here, is that a talking barrel? One of these days I really wanna do a short comic series about Avlora meeting the rest of the playable characters, just because the interactions would range from very heartfelt or awkward, to outright silly.

All the people I ship romantically with this character Anna, and I will be able to expand on this idea one day. I'm partial to Avlora x Maxwell as well, although it's not my main or favorite ship for TriStrat, and I prefer exploring them as a platonic duo moreso than romantic.

My non-romantic OTP for this character Love her relationship with Cordelia, her enemies-to-incredibly-weird-coworkers arc with Hughette is interesting too. Would be really interested in seeing what Avlora's interactions/relationship with Flanagan was like; same goes for Groma. I think she and Maxwell would at leave have some sort of mutual respect for each other as well.

My unpopular opinion about this character Aside from the fact that avewell isn't my main ship for Avlora (and Avlora x Cordelia doesn't seem to be a very popular ship these days, so I don't feel like not shipping them is unpopular per se), I don't really think I have any outstanding hot takes on Avlora.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon. Would have loved to see more interactions between Avlora and the others like, how would reconnecting with Groma go? How does Flanagan react to his old coworker showing up--and likewise, how does Avlora react to seeing her former fellow soldier? How do things go over with Maxwell after Avlora joins House Wolffort? Does Avlora have any particular feelings towards Frederica, or Geela? Really, there's potential for an endless number of interesting interactions I think. Would have liked a bit more information about the whole "Svarog took Avlora in" bit of information too like, exactly what was her relationship with Svarog like? And what of Dragan? So many potential avenues to explore...

ive said this before for this meme but im really running out of ways to say "i like him". i like him!!!! really good character!!!!! im still thinking about yen liveblogging book 2 yesterday and quoting him saying "Kick me out, for all I care. I don’t give a shit about being a heavenly official! If it wasn’t for Your Highness’ appointment, I really don’t care for it. But even if you boot me back to the mortal realm and I become human again, I will still be loyal to you, Your Highness." kick me out for all i care. i will still be loyal to you. and xl does and fx is. feng xin is loyal forever and he's a bodyguard who knows instinctively that his job is to get hurt so xie lian won't be (the way that, in the donghua, "nan feng" is always trying to put himself between xie lian and danger--a bit in front and a bit to the side--) and he fails and he just wants to protect and care for xie lian and the royal family and jian lan and cuocuo and he can't successfully do this for a single one of them and they all leave him for his own good. but he's still trying, he's still loyal, he doesn't want to leave them even though he'll obey them if they ask him to go. actually im just going to link this ask game response i did abt him for a different ask game

honestly in canon i don't have strong romantic ships for him--jian lan is canon but not compelling, the more compelling ships are notably less canon and i'm less passionate abt queer readings there--but in the realm of fandom i do very much enjoy feng xin/xie lian bc of the aforementioned Eternal Devotion To His Master, and in general bc of the thing where xie lian is fx's entire Purpose in life (which is nonzero hua cheng parallells!). and there's also, hm, the thing where fx+mq are both Orbiting xie lian and xie lian is not really orbiting them back? which, as someone who's very into ships that are imbalanced/unrequited like that: very crunchy! also feng xin/mu qing but with the same caveats as i gave on my mu qing ask response, which is to say, i like approximately none of the feng xin/mu qing that actually exists, but if it were done completely differently it does in fact have potential. the thing is, it has to be about xie lian. very few fics know this

My non-romantic OTP for this character

also feng xin & xie lian and feng xin & mu qing! and the three of them together! xianle trio: wildly compelling to me whether it's platonic or not. i think i probably lean platonic on these even in the realm of fanfic but i will enjoy & read it and be like Yes This Is My Feng Xin OTP whether it is gen or slash.

man i have no idea what's popular or not. or like i know one (1) unpopular opinion i have (fanon fengqing is BORING) but i already used that opinion on the mu qing ask game response.... it'd be a based unpopular opinion of me to have to care about jian lan & his relationship w her but in fact i mostly don't. kind of an L tbh

I feel like often I haven't considered a pairing until I read a fic that does it really well or that gives me a premise I can get behind, but the only time someone, as in another person specifically talking to me, changed my mind was when a friend from one fandom suggested I might enjoy a fic from a different fandom we were both in… so I read an FMA Ed/Roy mpreg fic that I would not have otherwise given the time of day to… and I really enjoyed it ngl. 

C - A ship you have never liked and probably never will.

Sesshomaru/Kagome from the Inuyasha fandom. I do not understand why this pairing was so popular. If you want to hook Sesshomaru up with a human woman, Sango is standing right there ffs, she is such a better choice, lmao. I don't really get Reylo either, and there are plenty of other het ships that just make me scratch my head.

K - What character has your favorite development arc/the best development arc?

Wesley Wyndam-Price from Buffy/Angel. I love this man, and I love his development from someone who has no idea what the fuck is actually going on, to developing both physical and interpersonal competence, to finding a real family, to losing it through accidentally following some bad advice and betraying everyone, to finding love, to losing everything. His devotion to Fred makes a primordial, demonic, god-being care enough to help the protagonists fight an overwhelming army. I mean come on. This might be the one character I really did not mind at all that Whedon killed, because I felt like he had done everything and achieved everything he could possibly achieve and there was nowhere else for him to go. Perfection💔don't tell me anything about the comics i don't care

For the fandom of Stargate in general… 

More alien headcanons!! There are some really great people writing some fantastic fics for the Wraith, so I'm going to complain specifically about how I want more fics and HC for the Nakai and Ursini in SGU. Also the Reol from SG1 ("The Fifth Man”) have SUCH potential, I want to see more of them!! 

I would love to see more SGU people in SGA plots, if that makes sense. (I have a fic where Sheppard gets booted as military Commander, and I'm thinking of replacing him with Telford. 🤔)

more crossover ideas in general, within the Stargate brand. What if Vala and Cam came to visit Atlantis while Sam was there?  What if the whole gateing-through-the-sun-time-warp thing sent Rush to Pegasus instead and he ran into Todd? What if “Rising” was actually “Solitudes” and Sheppard and O'Neill are the ones trapped under a bunch of ice when their chopper puts down unexpectedly to dodge the drone?  (I just think it would be neat.🙂)

The last question had a 3 in it so my brain stuck on that track and I came up with 3 SGU AUs I'd like to see

The Lucian Alliance doesn't attack as they're dialing Destiny in ep 1 and even though they have to evacuate bc the planet's about to explode, everyone who doesn't want to go through the gate can beam up to Carter’s ship and evac to Earth. So it's a tense situation but there's enough time and focus that Telford and O'Neill get to send the “right people team" that they wanted to send. I wonder who that was? Presumably this team was already on Icarus base, it just contained fewer civilians. I'd like to see them not do any better, or mess up in different ways. 

Everything happens the same, but Camille is more assertive sooner and gets Young and Rush to stop being such dicks to each other, and everyone has a more mentally healthy experience.

When I first read the title of the s1 finale “Incursion,” I thought it was going to be about the Nakai returning. So, an AU where that happens, OR both the Nakai and the Lucian Alliance show up to invade Destiny on the same day and everything is chaos ❤️

Wow, I really don't know if I can answer this… I feel like everything I think about the characters is my headcanon to an extent? And what I canon in my head changes for every fic. I think I HC the Wraith as being a lot more into casual touch than they are shown in canon, that just jumps to mind. (But like, there's not much to them, socially, in canon, so it's really all hc, and I don't think I can list all the backstory/society I've made up for them across several fics.) Narrow the question down a bit and I can maybe do better.😂

Ships that i am neutral/disgusted to/by:

Errorink (lil too overrated and doesn't make sense in canon since ink can't feel real love/ feel attracted to anyone)

Crossmare (it's a pretty popular ship on wattpad which i don't think is good now after Underverse 0.6)

Dustberry (I'd rather watch DustKiller divorces and i absolutely despise how people make blueberry a yandere– like even the creator of blue went like "fr nah" and wished to not be credited for blue's existance, and it doesn't make sense in canon since that way, wouldn't pap be a yandere?)

Ships that I am OK with:

Kustard: It's pretty good: a lazy person with an edgy one: pretty good ship material ngl

BloodyCrop/HorrorFarm: Pretty good: I can imagine Horror trying to smuggle the baby chickens and try to eat them XD

DustHorror: Pretty good since canon Dust despises/hates almost everyone in the Bad Sanses except Horror since they both have "similar experiences".

ErrorFresh: Though this is a ship that also wouldn't work out in canon since Fresh can't feel emotions, it's a pretty good ship idea since we can see in UnderVerse Extra Scenes we can see when Error realized that Ink technically broke the truce for helping Cross recreate his world, he was completely fine with said parasite's existence while he laughed like a banshee about his victory.

AfterDeath: Though it's a lil overrated just like ErrorInk, it makes more sense than ErrorInk since Reaper has death touch and Geno would be the only mortal/not-a-god that he could touch though it's weird thinking that Reaper would have had ___ with a zombie if they got into a relationship.

Ships I Enjoy a Lot:

AfterFell: It was actually really good ship material, but the sad thing was that AfterDeath overshadowed this ship because of Reaper's vulgar language (after Geno said: So you can go ahead and suck it, Reaper decided to go like: Well, I could do just that: eugh o_o). It would be nice to see Gaster telling Sans : "My job to get grandkids has been accomplished."

AfterClassic: (THIS IS JUST MY OPINION: DON'T ASK WHY MOST OF THE SHIPS I HAVE A POSITIVE OPINION ON INVOLVE GENO) it's a pretty good ship, and sometimes when I read the AfterTale comic I like thinking :"Oooh, AfterTale's Classic and Geno are having a divorce." Though AfterFell may have a bit more potential than this ship, it's still ok ;)

OuterKiller: It's a good ship: it was pretty popular before UnderVerse 0.3 or something came out (and that's why I had this phase where I hated Killer and Fatal because they hurt the beannnn) and BOOM crack went the ship: and KillerMare, a ship I don't enjoy came. Though this ship is dead, I still think it's really good!

ColorKiller: This ship kinda died too because of KillerMare's existance– though idk where this ship's origin is at, it's nice overall since it made Color, an underrated Sans get a lil more popular and more images for me to simp on.

Fresh!Ink x Fatal Error: I also don't know where this ship came from (somebody send me where) but i found it when i was searching on how to fix my computer, when i accidentally added a space and x and i found the ship ;-; It's pretty nice, since the two are supposed to be the two most powerful people in UnderVerse, and I can't wait to see if they have an interaction in UnderVerse 0.7 or smth ;D

Ship I Adore:

Fatal404: I KNOW THIS SHIP DOESN'T MAKE SENSE BC ERROR HATES FATAL ERROR AND ERROR 404 IS ERROR'S MENTOR: but I like it ;D so far there's only 1 Fatal404 video on YT that I know of, and it's pretty underrated since Fatal Error's also pretty powerful (according on a power chart on YT, Fatal's supposed to be 5th place, though an idiot decided to go like "cAp: eRrOr'S mOrE pOwErFuL aNd CoUlD 1 sHoT fAtAl: like legit go ask the creator: i know you stan for Error or ErrorInk, but just please get your resources from the right place, and even if it's fake, Fatal's my favorite and I think he'd at least be a Top 20 in the actual popular Sans groups– idc about any of your OCs like cRiTiCaL 4o4 gLiTcH pOwEr 1o1– it ain't known and accept that. )

An unpopular opinion: Here's a big one, I never liked megas. A mechanic that only benefits like 30 out of hundreds of Pokemon, most of them being Pokemon that were already strong and popular anyway, was never that interesting to me for a casual playthrough, and only like 5 megas were even viable in competitive so it wasn't any more interesting there. And none of the Pokemon who got megas were gen 6 Pokemon despite the mechanic being introduced in gen 6? not even the starters? Oh no but lets give megas to the Kanto starters, hell lets give our special little guy Charizard two. come on. At least the Galar starters got gigantamaxes eventually and there were still plenty of gen 8 Pokemon that had them from the start. Also literally the only one that looks good is Mega Sableye, and that's just because it's regular Sableye but with ruby eyes and a big gem to hide behind. Every other mega is at best Fine and at worst ugly as shit, because the design philosophy for megas seemed to be "it's [Pokemon] but cooler, and cooler means busier". Have you seen mega Garchomp? Have you seen what they did to my boy? Disgusting. I never want to see it again.

You’re right, it is very annoying how some people (usually a certain brand of Zukka shippers) insist that Zuko HAS to be gay and Toph HAS to be a lesbian.

I mean we all know that the only reason that they think Zuko HAS to be gay is so that people won’t ship him with women instead of with Sokka.

I also find that a lot of Zukkas will insist that Mai, Ty Lee, Toph, and sometimes even Suki and/or Yue all HAVE to be lesbians. You know what all of those girls have in common? They all canonically dated or expressed romantic interest in Zuko or Sokka. Connect the dots.

Obviously not everyone who has those headcanons is like that. People can and should be allowed to headcanon characters however they want. Personally I view Zuko as bisexual and Toph as straight (none of the popular F/F Toph ships appeal to me and I generally find that portrayals of her as LGBT aren’t to my tastes because some - not all - people who headcanon her as such will often exaggerate her masculinity/androgyny far beyond the extent to which it exists in canon in order to make her the “man” in the relationship as well as ignore that the reasons for her gender nonconformity are heavily tied to her trauma and disability and have very little to do with sexuality, which is something that squicks me out. Also dislike how society at large seems to really hate the idea of GNC women being with men because that means they’ll be forced to reconsider their perception of gender roles within M/F relationships). However, those are just my interpretations.

yes exactly! i'm all for people having their head canons, but there is no reason to shame others because they have a different one than you. it reeks of privilege because no head canon is more "right" than another. and also, why are we gatekeeping characters from having other lgbtq+ identities that other fans can identify with? seems very exclusionary to me.

i think the thing that bothers me about zookas is that they will take scenes like the jinko fountain scene and use it as "proof" that he's gay. bc zuko hesitated at first and also because he pulled away and ran away. like, there's so many other reasons for that, including the one that's actually, ya know, canon. zuko was nervous. it's his first teenaged date, so ofc he would be a bit awkward about it. not to mention that he is a decent enough person to not want to complicate a girl's feelings for him because she doesn't know the real him. he even says in the tale of the earth kingdom novelization that he likes this girl. and he says in canon that he had a nice time. that's not to say that people can't head canon what they want, but to say things like "there's no het explanation for this." there's literally several, actually.

another thing that i've seen is zookas use the "zuko gay" in response to zutaras, but then they'll also simultaneously ship m*iko. and it's just so obviously a bias/convenience thing because if you hc him as gay (which is fine), why would you like a ship of him with a woman??? just say you hate zutara and go.

back to toph, because i've been meaning to speak on this for a while. so toph is my favorite character and i head canon her as nonbinary and pansexual. it is actually partially through my appreciation of toph's character that i realized that i was nonbinary. so when certain people gatekeep and confine her to one identity because of stereotypical traits and behaviors, i take it very personal.

none of toph's popular F/F ships appeal to me either, but i do see her as LGBTQ+. i have to agree that the way she is masculinized does cause me significant discomfort, especially wrt to people who do so to limit her "desirability" for aang.

i also find that a lot of people will head canon aang as nonbinary or GNC (i do as well). so in the case of toph being lesbian, she could potentially still be attracted to aang. so why then, do people act like it would just be a het relationship? it doesn't make sense. they're both queer as fuck. not to mention that i've had to endure months on twitter with people saying that kateeng is wlw (which gives me the HIVES) because aang is nonbinary. so suddenly, when it's taang, aang's a straight man and/or toph would have to be straight. these people talk themselves into circles i swear. it's just easier to admit that you want aang only for katara than to sit here and come up with flimsy excuses.

i wish people would just admit that they don't think toph is feminine enough for aang. i've seen so many shitty takes about how toph would be abusive to aang and always hurt him, or that they would argue a lot (which is comical because kateeng canonically has 3 big fights.) it's just upsetting how toph is treated and perceived by certain people in the fandom to push their agendas.

for me personally, i see aang and toph as nonbinary pan. so i see their relationship pretty much free of gender roles and they are equals. they already have a good foundation for childhood friends to lovers. i just don't get why people hate taang so much and would instead rather invest time in a ship with a side character from ONE comic (no offense to any tophl*ngs out there, but the ship literally gives me not one fuzzy feeling.) in lieu of her best friend that she spends two seasons with, has multiple interactions with in the comics, etc. i feel like this is mainly because toph isn't perceived as "shippable" and is cast to the side, which sucks because she's my favorite character.
