i am listening to PJ and Parappas album I Scream annd it is silly to me erm here are my silly thoughts that are mostly about the lyrics lmao

Ok first of all. I dont like parappas songs in this game, and all of these use those instrumentals. Its nothing in particular I thought I would like at least one but strangely not? but parappas VA is incredibly talented idc if thats like common knowledge gotta say it when you think it yk. ok now

first song: All We Need Is Music:

i posted the "WITH THE FUCK WITH THE FUCK WHAT THE FUUUUUCK" thing like a second ago and thats like my whole opinion on that song. im pretty sure katy is singing some of it and like i love her her voice actor was incredibly talented again gotta say the obvious. also the beginning where shes like "oh. (chuckles) ok." with like no context is so real so great. also what the fuck is happening in the video.

second song: The New Plan

the lyrics are just "im cool man and so is milk can and heres a bunch of stuff we did" Im very neutral about this one i have no thoughts other than yes you are cool and so is milk can

third song: Life Is Like A Sky

the song is basically just "remember guys behave yourselves!!!" but hearing parappa say "Stay away from drugs" is so funny again not many thoughts

fourth song: Why

THIS ONE IS SO SILLY TO ME bc he starts off with shit like "why. do birds have wings" like ok ok then "why. do boys like girls? girls like boys, boys like toys, and girls like curls?" interesting thoughts parappa "why do we feel hungry? why do we need money?" even further into interesting "Who created sunny funny?" her dad what "Why is fire hot? why does rain fall in drops?" yeah? "why do we have first and last names?" ok ok "And how come people die? And where do we go, from the sky?" damn ok parappa questioning the real shit at late hours in the morning. anyway yeah hes just slowly questioning everything in this song and it sounds really funny to me

last and sixth song: No Cuttin Corners

BAHAHA THE WHOLE SONG IS JUST "listen to your parents guys! go to school! dont do drugs! I hate the dealers at my school! i dont need cigarettes! playstation! Dont drink alcohol! Dont shoot each other! I go to school! my dad is yelling at me even though I did my chores! I have 4 paws but i walk on 2! Talk it out!

OKOKOK TO BE FAIR "We Are Milkcan!" is never going to be beat in terms of all over the place in tone and I love that song so Im sure that this one has its fans. I just think its really funny that parappa sounds like he was paid to make this album so much. Im sure he agrees with certain sentiments in it its just so out of left field given that he wouldve kicked those bullies asses at the beginning of the first game and given what I know about the second game (something about noodle and burger war?) I litterally dont think he cares about this as much as this album explores these themes.

Also parappa talks about school like hes in elementary school and not like. what 15? based on what Ive heard about the anime I dont like this, unless it was a deliberate choice ofc bc then idc as long as rodney or whoever isnt having their creations messed with.

after writing it all down, i realized it's not just what's missing but also what's broken, inconsistent and shallow about Halsin, hopefully that still answers your question :)

his backstory in the underdark comes out of nowhere and is never again brought up!! it is, in fact, brushed off as just some silly goofy thing that happened to him once!! hihi haha i was a sex slave for two years. im so embarrased to tell you this, tav haha anyways how about round two with the twins ??? while im standing speechless mouth agape struggling to process the story he just told me. to say it was written and handled poorly is putting it mildly

he is shown to be a shrewd person (with his francesca choice for the new archdruid back in emerald grove) so expand on that! show that he's more than just a pile of muscles! show me he's cunning and has bite! there's so much political intrigue in act 3, have him comment on it, on gortash's plan, have Halsin compare it to some other people/events that happened in the past and how they mirror what's currently happening in baldur's gate, my dude is 3 50, he's seen some shit im sure, even living in the forest the news would reach him so no excuses

he's so closely tied to act 2 i have no clue why he's locked off as a companion till you find daniel (which on my first playthrough was just before attack on moonrise, that almost made my blood boil bc not even 2 hours later orin snatched him up??? and i was like?? ok?? she took who? i barely know the guy?). i think he's too tight-lipped about what happened all those years ago with the shadowcurse and i would have loved to hear more about it (like the implication of him killing isobel and the conflict with the thorms)

I need him to be the biology/nature expert equivalent to Gale with his weave expertise. he should have more to say about the worms!! he should be studying you under the microscope the entire game!!!! literally bring back all the missing EA halsin dialogue!! i should be able to drag his ass into the underdark!!! I WANT HIS KNOWLEDGE! I WANT IT TO BRING BACK BAD MEMORIES! expand on drows and their culture in this game by using halsin as the conduit that tells you everything he learned from spending his time here!! so maybe that info dump in act 3 about him being a slave wouldn't come out of nowhere

i refuse to believe he'd have nothing to say about the elder brain after seeing it. i want him to be absolutely repulsed, terrified but also intrugied by the mindflayer colony under moonrise, i want him to cautiously study every nook and cranny there and offer his insight

absolutely baffled he won't say anything to that one dragonborn druid back in baldur's gate that is trying to keep a tree alive???? for all his distain for the cities he sure is quiet here, seeing nature failing in the middle of it while a guy is desprately trying to keep it alive. maybe make it so these two actually manage to turn this spot into something more beautiful, a lush tree in the middle of a concrete road that attracts people who come over to relax in its shade

if they bring up his hatred of the city life, why not let me turn him into a full on shadow druid (which is already hinted on during one of the conversations with him in act 3), kind of how you can keep shadowheart a shar worshipper or steer her toward selune. plant some seeds of his loathing back in act 2, how nature had to be sacrificed because people had delusions of grandure (the elder brain plot and the thorms) etc

besides wanting to cure the shadowcurse and enjoying whittling there's nothing more to this guy. after the curse is lifted all he's got are the ducks.............. once he'll mention he doesn't like the city life. okay, you've been on this earth good 350 years, my guy, you know how cities are don't act surprised

an alternative ending is missing, you should be able to go with him

personally, i think his personality is missing because he is too flat and frankly, boring. he is too agreeable even if you're a meanie to others. just as long as you don't kill innocents he's a ride or die. it's not his fault of course, he's just badly written, too surface level. which is a terrible shame bc i'm so in love with him but i'd like to fall for his personality too. once there's a fleshed out one. so it's quite hard to speculate on what's missing about a guy there's barely any information on in-game tho :'(

so episode 5. all my thoughts

we picked up where the last one left off, good start

annabeth saying she knows percy isn't dead... how. to annabeth and grover there should have been no way percy was alive and finding out he was should've been so emotional but instead she was like dw i know he's not dead lol. it's kind of... lazy writing? like how are you gonna write a scene as gut wrenching as percy trapping himself with a monster and telling his friends to complete the quest without him because he's actively dying and has no reason to believe he'll survive, and then make the fallout of that so... nonchalant? idk if it's a time limit thing but that was so underwhelming to me

annabeth being the one to see the fates... no

i did want them to acknowledge annabeth's lack of experience with the world outside camp but having her say "i've never seen any kind of movie" has gotta be one of the weirdest ways they could've done that

the turnstile scene was cool i guess but as we go on i'm more and more conscious of how many episodes are left and how much plot there is to get through and idk i feel like this scene could've hit the cutting room floor and we wouldn't have lost anything

i do love the ambience of the park though. maybe i'm easy to impress because the aesthetic of an abandoned amusement park is just fantastic on its own but the set was very cool. wish it wasn't so dark so i could've actually seen it ❤️

percy and annabeth having a serious conversation with 'what is love' blaring in the background is sending me

first ever seaweed brain dropped! i liked the way they did it, it felt natural

actually back to the "i've never seen a movie" thing. you're telling me that in this version of the story, in which frederick chase was apparently a great dad who treated annabeth like a gift, he never took her to the movies? or she never watched one on tv? she had a whole seven years of life in the real world before going to camp and she's never seen a movie

i think the scene with the chair was overall well executed with some great lines and fantastic acting but... idk. they really scrapped the original scene just to do what they already did last episode. i miss the spiders i miss hephaestus tv. it felt redundant to have percy sacrifice himself again. percy this is the second time today you've been like "no dw i'll just die" do you need to talk to someone

not much to say about the grover and ares scenes bc i don't know what to make of them. i didn't mind them. ares had some funny lines. i guess my only complaint is that the grover i know would not have been so calm talking to the god of war. i'm curious to see where that cliffhanger leads

is it just me or did the pacing improve a little bit this episode?

despite how negative i sound i enjoyed episode 5 a lot more than episode 4. there are still so many weird changes, additions, and omissions though. honestly i think a big part of the reason i enjoyed this one is because i'm not expecting anything anymore. i'm not getting my hopes up about them adapting the book normally i'm just intrigued by this thing like a scientist observing an experiment. like hmm what are they doing now? fascinating *takes notes*

Sophie is such an interesting oc, from her origins to her character development to her personality and mannerisms there’s just something about her that makes her feel so well rounded and complex and ALIVE!

and your take on female pirates in the OP universe was such a cool route to explore in your story! it’s such a gut wrenching reflection of real world news and how the world treats women and seeing Sophie become a victim of that and become forcefully villainized by everyone is so devastating bc the world will believe what it wants even if it’s wrong especially if it’s being pushed into their faces every day and i JUST WANT MY SWEET LITTLE WEIRDO TO BE HAPPY! 😭😭😭

and the interactions between sophie and law in CBA have simultaneously given me butterflies and made me so UTTERLY DEVASTATED! watching these two people who obviously love each other so much just keep having this hang up about how to protect one another makes my wanna gnaw on the bars of my enclosure. but there’s something about them that’s just so fascinating bc they compliment each other so well despite the fact that Sophie thinks Law doesn’t love her more than his revenge and Law thinks that Sophie (and basically everything else) is too good for someone like him to ever truly deserve.

AND THEIR SIGN LANGUAGE CONVERSATION IN THE MOST RECENT UPDATE ACTUALLY MADE ME TEAR UP. the way you balance the goofy dialogue with her serious internal monologue and the serious events of the story is so *chefs kiss* and so OP it’s insane.

you have such a way with words watching you slowly build up Sophie through not only the things she’s gone through and the characters she’s met but also the environment around her makes this story feel so rich and full of life.

sophie’s just a kid who knew too little and now she’s trying to know so much to compensate for her past mistakes and she is so compassionate and forgiving to everyone but herself. she is hard and soft and cautious and reckless and trying so hard not to care while caring SO MUCH she has been fighting tooth and nail ever since she escaped G-13 and the world keeps pushing her down and she has no choice other than to get back up again even if no one else wants her to.

anyway sorry for kind of blowing up your inbox lol. thank you for blessing the world with your writing and i greatly look forward to seeing what comes next! 💛💛💛

It’s fucking coffee, of all things, that finally does it. Or, Buck buys Eddie's favorite brand of coffee for his loft, and Eddie's brain short-circuits, leading to a realization.

Eddie’s foot feels heavy on the gas pedal, while his hands grip the steering wheel tightly, to prevent them from shaking. He’s driving almost on autopilot, while trying his best to compartmentalize and focus on just getting to the hospital, trying not to think about Buck- about what’s happening in the back of the ambulance right now. Or, after the drive to the hospital after Buck's hit by lightning, Eddie loses it. Sort of 6x10 coda.

He didn't believe it, then, either. And now the universe is mocking Eddie, having him have to tell their kid about Buck, just like Buck had to tell him about the shooting. Eddie doesn’t know how Buck did it, how he had the strength, because he’s on the verge of breaking down and shattering into a million little pieces. Or, Eddie goes home to tell Christopher about Buck getting hurt.

However, you seem to be one of those people who prefer fictional 2d men because of how you gush over something amazing that your comic book crush did or laugh about them being silly and goofy and when Reo asks you what it is. its typically a war crime or something-

REGARDLESS, he wishes you'd be more focused on the people around you then guys who only exist in those comics of yours and he's always so torn because he wants to get you the latest issue just to see how you'd react but he also doesn't want you to cancel plans to read it and hyperfixtaite on it. So he decides to at least read it before handing it to you to see the big hype. Then he reads stories about rich men dedicating themselves to fighting crime off of the streets and suddenly, he gets an idea.

Normal! Reo would not do this but this yandere! Reo who is delusional as hell.

You become concerned when he shows up to classes all bruised but he assures you that its nothing when in reality, he decided to pick up a few self defense classes while hiring people to stalk watch over you when he couldn't. He starts to develop his own arsenal, maybe not as excessive as Batman but it will look cool as hell and after some trial and errors, he starts to follow you.

Now he might simulate danger for a bit or something but he definetly does it with you first, to make himself seem like a hero for you. And you eat it UP. You're already writing stories, have those cliche meetings on the rooftop, and just you overall swooning over him!

However, this wasn't a comic book an actual comic book and the more you looked into this hero to do an article about him, the more you began to suspect he was a fraud. You tell your theories to Reo, who acts interested but on the inside is panicking. HE WAS ACTING LIKE HOW YOU WANTED HIM TOO, WHAT MORE DID HE HAVE TO DO!?

I'm gonna have to cut it off there bc I do not have ENOUGH BRAIN POWER TO WRITE THIS OUT BUT YEAH.

Fabian - canonically doesn't know what mobile games are, much less actual videogames. He sort of sees them as pointless (why do quests and adventures in a videogame when he could just do them in real life?) Of course the bad kids pull him into their gaming sessions, though he spends most of them asking what the controls are again and raising an eyebrow at their shenanigans. Ragh sits him down and makes him play some sport based video games which he does enjoy, he can get really into it if you give him time (he yells so so loud) he also gets into ddr style games bc he likes beating the other bdkds at them. Videogames are a good excuse to hang but he'd rather go out and play football irl.

Kristen - coming from a heavily sheltered and what i assume monitored family, kristen probablyyy isnt all that into videogames. At most i think she'd have some mobile games like idk candy crush on her phone, like fabian she'd get confused and spend her in game time running around and just watching the others play, she goes along w the others shenanigans v easily tho and loves doing silly bits while playing.

Riz - Riz is the type to play window games on their families shared computer for hours on end. Stuff like sudoku, pinballs, or solitaire. He'd love those games like the nancy drew mystery ones, or those games where you find items like I Spy. The only downside is he gets unhealthily fixated and will spend 3 days getting to lvl 100+ on Tetris if you let him, obsessed w 100% games and making funny number go up. Surprisingly good at rhythm games.

Adaine - into open world games, like fallout or outerwilds. Will spend days writing and churning out backstory and lore for her in game character. Veryyy picky and wants every decision to be true to their newest ocs backstory, will spend a solid hour on the character creation screen. She also loves more violent shooting games, although playing online with strangers gives her anxiety and she cannn get gamer rage, she'll get fixated on getting stuff like headshots and Winning and Being a good teammate that she'll start shaking and have to step away from playing for a bit. Single player fighting games w blood where she can turn her brain off and just fight are more cathartic for her. I feel like she ends up doing insane shit in them like saw and hack off limbs and go full dark story mode route and then regret it so so much and lie awake at night not sleeping bc of it and delete the save file. Its her dark secret shell take to the grave.

Fig - plays a large range of games, mainly more colorful and silly goofy ones she can play with the badkids. Shes sort of a little nuisance in games tho, she will troll and grief a lil bc she finds it funny. In singleplayer games she does love being a huge stinker and do silly stuff like pickpocket and get caught or accidentally set a bomb off in the middle of a cutscene or glitch her character to a-pose, she does a bunch of shit and laughs and doesn't take it seriously at all. Like adaine she also gets gamer rage. she gets them both banded from online for a month bc they team up to cast a spell on someone thru the screen. LOVESS shit like guitar hero and skater games sooo much, also into those wwe type games. Cant stomach horror at all but will make the rest of the kids sit down and play horror games w her so they can laugh and scream together.

Gorgug - he tends to like more older games, say in the style of star fox/loz and stuff. His parents gave him and older gaming system when he was younger n he still has it around and collects games for it, its seeing a lot more use than it originally did bc now he has friends to play with. The type of guy to still carry their ds around. I feel like hed also modify and rom hack stuff for his friends. He likes going to the arcade in person and playing there than sitting in front of a computer.

Ayda - yes im including her shes a gamer girl in my heart. I feel like she loves life sims/complex puzzle games, stuff like slime rancher, portal, animal crossing. She has 1000+ hours into a single sims save file. She spends hours and hours building and working on the most elaborate farming system for whatever new sim shes getting invested in. She especially loves organizing in games, she gets a bit antsy playing more survival based games with the bad kids because they leave their systems so unorganized (shes def the type to redo the entire base from top to bottom in dont starve while the rest die off screen). neat and orderly decoration is soo fun for her and the bad kids try not to step on her turf too much. refuses to play multiplayer if it's with anyone else but the badkids, but if anyone would start a gaming channel its her. will do obscenely gay cutesy stuff w fig n game. They build their own little base and junk and pretend to hosts weddings n stuff. Shes also very into speed running and breaking games with glitches to figure out how they work.

AHHH!! My bad for getting back to this now!! BUT LONG REPLY INCOMMING BECAUSE I HAVE SO MUCH TO SAY!!

1.) I started writing I Can Feel It in My Bones back in 2020. I remember that, but I'd forgotten all about the document until scrolling through things. (Seemed pretty ominous to me because I literally had it titled "the owl houseeee" even though thats not what I have it called in my head). I started writing it a bit before the vampire au. Like in October of 2020.

Back during then I had an idea based on that coven day episode from season one (episode 5 iirc?). Where we see that brief little moment of that "Illusion Luz" when they're demonstrating and talking about covens, and my favorite trope of all time is soulmates. I absolutely LOVE that trope with my entire being, and I had this silly goofy idea that well... What if there's a soulmate au? BUT DIFFERENT THAN THE NORMAL METHOD. The story is basically following Amity as a kid through the years up until the show actually happens- And one night (following a separate theory I had- see below) when she hears her parents arguing and can't sleep; casts an illusion spell to help her calm down and that then puts her to sleep.

In her dream she finds someone. This girl she's never seen before. She's got round ears and is blue hued. And this girl introduces herself and is like "Didn't you read the small text beneath the spell?" and Amity's like "No??" "Whoever you see within this space is supposed to be your soulmate." So like Luz? Yk. It's that whole thing where through the years UP until Amity actually meets her, she's like "I'm never going to meet this girl-- And then once she does, she's so utterly taken aback by it that she cannot believe it and is like so flabbergasted and HOPING that she doesn't fuck things up. Not wanting to at all. Cause obviously, what the fuck?? Are there even second chances with soulmates?

Anyway, I had another theory with that, that I think I was trying to weave in. Where Amity is technically Aladors' brother's daughter. Whom died unexpectedly by a mysterious hit by the emperor because he married a human. "So, Amity's half human and she's just repeating history with Luz?" Yep haha. TO THINK THAT THEORY WAS LOW KEY SO CLOSE BECAUSE THE EMPEROR DID KILL A BROTHER... It was just his own.

I need to finish it.

2.) On Thin Ice!! This one is the figure skater au I was thinking about and kicking around in my brain. Where both of Luz's parents were competitive figure skaters. Though they retired like right before they had her and instead of Manny being dead- It's Camila.

However, Eda owns this rink that Luz always goes to and is like almost always there skating. Wanting to be the best and make her mom proud. To get to where her parents couldn't (she blames herself a little bit that they couldn't win-win). Willow and Gus are involved too to hype up the girl. Anyway, basically Amity of course came from money and rich shit- She and Luz have known each other for a LONG time. Hate each other because Luz assumes she's a brat, but like little does she know that her parents obviously disagree with her skating and pursuing a dream like that. Lilith helps her and is how I envision the first part of it going. (Luz going up to the rink with Willow and Gus to realize its closed because Lilith and Amity are skating. Eda not being there.) Fast forward, Eda and Manny are Luz's coaches and Raine of course helps them out by taking over for Eda for a while when they pursue Luz going professional. (King is their adopted child and Collector is a childhood best friend of his <3)

However, by some "mistake" Amity and Luz are forced to skate together. As a couple. Enter forced interactions and them having to begrudgingly get along. Fake the chemistry for the cameras!! Anyway, this would actually require a bit of research on my part, and a bit more planning but I'm into this "rivals to faking chemistry so people stay invested in them. To- Whoops one of them actually means it."

I forgot where I had the twins in it, but I think Hunter and Vee are in there too. I think I had Darius as Amity's other coach and somehow, we get a bit of rosegold energy in there.

3.) My Dumb Brother Got Banned (This title is so off the cuff, but I love it). Basically, it's the silly idea I had where Edric is banned from this video game/card shop/comic bookstore. Said store hosts a video game tournament every year (alongside DnD sessions every other Thursday afternoon.). For starting a fire accidently in the bathroom, and after a LOT of begging; the shop owner said they would lift it as long as she (Amity) works there for the entire summer. Masha and Willow work there with her, and Masha's avidly hosts the DnD group that plays there. Insert Luz whom one day comes in looking for a gift to Hunter for his birthday (with Vee). Somehow, we then find out Hunter attends the group sessions and Luz starts going with him because Masha asked Amity to cover late one week. I don't really know what else happens tbh other than that, but Edric wins the Melee tournament, and his ban gets lifted because he repays the damages with the bounty.

4.) Drunk Party Scrap!! This is just 800 words in my phone where Luz is at Willows party on Halloween eve. She'd gone with her best friend Amity but for some reason she forgets where she'd gone off to... But this girl in a Hecate costume is so pretty and matches her Azura costume perfectly. She wants to show Amity because the details are SO accurate to the books. She's completely flabbergasted because only her and Amity know about Azura. But where in the world did Amity go??

tldr drunk confession while not knowing that Amity is literally Hecate, but Luz thinks she's in love (because omg she's so pretty) and its stupid but yeah. Amity takes care of her unknowingly (because best friends!) and it's a mystery to Luz who this person is, but she wants to find them again when she wakes up.

Amity is just scared to reveal it because she doesn't wanna fuck things up but has been in love with Luz for years. Horrible synopsis but yeah. I was writing it on a break randomly. I didn't really know what to do with it.

5.) Stupid For You!! Ahh. The apartment neighbor's au that no one asked for!! So, like Amity moves out with the help of the twins that then transpires days after into her almost being knocked over by this big dog that'd charged right from his owner into her. He's friendly but damn, she was JUST trying to read outside because it was nice out. She hears this girl yell and sees her, and the girl apologizes then explains that "King just loves new people" Basically, they live across from one another on the bottom floor, and when one day Amity is about to go to work, she realizes that her toilet valve breaks, and water is ALL over the floor. but...Luz is also the maintenance worker for the complex. (Cue slight embarrassment) Ghost likes her so at least that's a good thing. Anyway, they start hanging out from time to time and coming over for dinner or to watch a movie (she noted that Amity was a Azura fan) and it's just a small friends to lovers' thing?? Also, Luz breaks her leg midway through, and Eda's the property owner. Hunter works with Luz too as the other maintenance worker for when one of them aren't working. AND Amity has a vinyl collection. I don't know ahh I thought of it when Timeless by Taylor Swift got released. Was just going to be a little self-indulgent thing.

Anyway I've been talking for WAY too long lol so ahh I hope that made semi sense?? You can ask about any of the others too idm dw. I know I ramble WAY too much but it's so fun to talk about the ideas.

Also the toilet breaking right before work is a personal experience and it was NOT a good discovery LMAO, but yeah, I'd thought it would be silly to insert it into a fic.

1. au where tommy enters one of those radio contests to meet wilbur soot (famous artist) he is self proclaimed wilbur’s biggest fan and in order to win he has to correctly answer ten trivia questions correctly if he gets patched through to the station! he manages to be the tenth caller and win so he meets wilbur they have a great time he gets an autograph and everything he enjoyed his time and is a little sad when he has to go, what he doesn’t know is wilbur really loved hanging out with tommy because despite tommy being a fan he didn’t treat wilbur like glass, so wilbur finds himself thinking about tommy but knows it is futile to try to find him again so he gives up. then one day he is running super late but he really needs coffee he runs into a coffee shop and low and behold there is tommy. he decides to shoot his shot and mid coffee order goes “do you want to be my assistant?” both of them are baffled because wilbur is literally the top artist and tommy is some random fan wilbur tries to backtrack and tommy is like no wait ill do it. tommy helps wilbur a whole bunch and they become besties and tommy even helps wilbur create new songs and melodies and stuff. the ending would probably be tommy performing a song he helped write with wilbur live and then them hugging bc…i want them to hug.

^ that one is super silly super fluffy just a good time (hence why i havent written it lol)

2. i dont have this one written down but it was an au where tubbo is a super villain and his best friend is tommy who happens to be a super hero but neither of them know that aboht each other and one day tubbo takes tommy hostage in hopes of getting money from the heroes in return of him so he unmasks tommy and realizes that “oh shoot this is my bestie” and so after that hes just incredibly nice to tommy despite being a villain like they are hanging out and he continually kidnaps tommy just to like hang out with him and yeah its just goofy :]

so there are some of the ideas that are ideaing there are always more cause i have like a murder mystery wip, a wilbur music college wip, wilbur foster au, and like some other stuff i think! enjoy :]

Its tricky bc I usually write the twin’s memories of their traumas as very clear bc they tend to replay the situations in their head

But I think Barry’s “spanked one of the kids but Henry doesn’t know which” moment from that early Dad Fact was a Ravenloft incident

He’d said “Lark if you move I hurt Sparrow, Sparrow if you move I hurt Lark”

Lark hadn’t meant for Sparrow to get hurt, sweet rambunctious boy has never been threatened like that, he didn’t expect it to actually happen

Sparrow remembers the threat, he remembers Lark jumping off a bench and shouting at Barry and Willy that he would NOT sit still and be quiet

and then the memory gets fuzzy until he had tears streaming down his face and was being held tightly by his brother who looked ***furious***

and only Sparrow knew him well enough to see the fear nested in amongst the anger

it's a jjba: Vento Aureo/Enter The Gungeon crossover of all things. basically while i was on a Gungeon kick a while back i realized the, despite being a super goofy roguelike based almost entirely around Gun Puns, the themes that is does have are weirdly similar to VA's? + the type of goof matches up nicely w jjba's lol

the gist is: Diavolo (The Devil) created the gungeon for canon typical reasons (bc he's deranged and doesn't want anyone to know who he is ever to the point of wanting to erase his own past) the members of the Buccigang are all gungeoneers to kill their canon typical tragic backstories that consist of One Big Mistake but they've all basically lost hope of ever doing that and can't leave bc of how the gungeon's time bullshit works. Giorno is the new kid but he's not actually there to kill his past, he wants to stop Jotaro (who is also there somewhere deep in the gungeon) from killing his past, bc if Jotaro kills his past, aka kills Dio before he can fuck over the Joestar bloodline, Giorno will retroactively stop existing

uhhh Giorno is able to restore hope to the gang, the rest of the cast replaces various NPCs, squadra specifically being a group that tried to take down the Devil and failed horribly, Trish is the Blacksmith and eventually teams up w the Buccigang to take down her dad, the Devil, and free them all from this Time Purgatory. i even made all the characters starting loadouts while referencing the gungeon wiki to make sure no one was too OP lol

YEAHH AND LIKE- he finds out how much has changed obviously, with the whole apocalypse and leo practically being a father now, the more he learns the more he realizes that the leo he knew is probably not gone but definitely locked away deep down as he has to stay serious to lead everyone. It just turns into usagi ofc helping everyone but also trying to remind leo that he can be a good leader while still being silly and goofy sometimes, maybe an argument happens because leo has trauma from the key being stolen that he thinks being silly and goofy is exactly what started the end and hurt everyone so hes stubborn about it

Favorite Yu-Gi-Oh! series Oh it is impossible to choose between 2 of them And those are Zexal and Vrains gjdskla The casts for both are the biggest selling point to me omg, while I love the storytelling of Zexal and the focus on persevering, even when it feels impossible, as well as how Vrains talks about mental health and healing, and that it's ok to not be, I definitely find my home with the characters most of all since they're what carry both of those messages and their stories Vrains is the show that brought me back to the TCG, it's what got me to start writing again Zexal is the show that currently fuels me both competitively and creatively, it's the one I love to dissect Takeru and Kaito are both characters I have a heavy connection with, Takeru in his past and what he's overcome, his personality, and then Kaito in his self-imposed isolation because it's just easier than opening up and repeatedly getting pushed down

In Which I Get A New Job (Sort Of) and Meet the Dance Commander; Nearly Die of Queer Joy

A few life updates bc I’ve just been too tired to post regularly recently! Gonna start doing these since I’ve always admired people who keep little journals. Enjoy.

I got a new seasonal job a few weeks ago at a local theatre and costume shop, which sounds like it would be perfect for me but is…definitely not. The pay is abysmal, it’s $9 an hour with no benefits, and the job itself is so mind-numbingly monotonous that I’m actually depressed. There’s a lot going on and I don’t think I’m going to make it—I need a challenge and I can’t shut my brain off for eight hours a day with nothing to do. Not being able to think creatively and solve puzzles is really messing with my head. Plus the hours are really bad for me, getting up that early and getting home in the evening is really draining for someone with my circadian rhythm. It’s just not for me. As bad as I feel about it (bc I do like my coworkers!), I’m going to quit sometime in the coming weeks and focus on building up my Etsy and working on my art offerings. It won’t make money but it also won’t make me so depressed I can do nothing but sleep on my days off. I just can’t handle traditional work, it’s not good for my brain and my mental health and it’s affecting me physically too. I can’t risk another colitis scare and the stress just isn’t worth it.

On to better news that, if you know me, is gonna have you jumping for me bc everyone I’ve told is freaked.

If you know me you know by now that Electric Six is my soul band and means the world to me. You know what I’ve been through and how happy they make me. Finally got to see them in person on Friday night and it was a spiritual experience. I ended up not only against the stage, but the closest one to The Man himself. Nearly got hit with the mic stand boner multiple times. Eye contact happened. Moments happened. They were magical. He is magical. As I said to @mosshugs, there is truly nothing like the joy an aroace person feels for their squish. It’s the purest form of love there is and my god, do I love that man. Multiply it with the love a performer has for their muse and I’ve been emotional all week.

Every E6 experience I’ve ever had involved lovely strangers who became friends and this was no exception. We just all come together to watch a bunch of goofy guys play goofy songs and do goofy dances together. Met the most lovely family of Crazies with daughters me and my sister’s age, we hung out with them all night, kept an eye on each other and just in general had a great time making new friends! My new local friend is super sweet and we have a lot in common, so that’s really neat! Hoping to talk to her more if I don’t get super nervous about it bc she’s really cool. Also she was providing the strongest moral support when she saw just how close I was to Dick Valentine. Mad props for recognising I was having several moments. When he knelt down on that speaker and started rambling about Lyme Disease she had my back quite literally. Such a real one. Also sent me all her photos and vids bc I was too busy ascending to even remember my phone.

But my god, do I love the Crazies. Herb S Flavorings (who was a treat as always to watch) flicked us a pick, missed, it hit someone else and dropped to the floor. Everyone immediately stepped back and helped find it. Setlist got passed down to me by not one but two other people who saw just how much this concert meant to me and thought I should have it I guess? Also met up with some guys from the Facebook group as I was leaving who wanted to meet “the E6 artist” and demanded to know if I got the prints delivered—I love this dumb little fandom. Also The Flashy Jacket™ was a hit!

And of course the part ya’ll we’re waiting for—I got to meet my hero, Dick Valentine himself. Spotted him coming down from the green room to get his customary post-show amaretto sour and I asked if we could talk when he had a minute (mostly just wanted to deliver the art prints) and he was so immediately friendly and approachable. He had a few people coming up to say hi, and what really struck me was how careful he was to make sure I knew he hadn’t forgotten I wanted to talk to him. I’m sure he had no idea how much that truly meant to me—it’s such a little thing, just to have someone give you a reassuring look that you haven’t been forgotten or ignored and they’re going to make time—but for some people they never get that and it truly means the world. To get it from someone who does not know me, but who has gotten me through so much, was really incredible. I started tearing up and apologising for being emotional and he was so reassuring, reiterating that it had been a long night and it was okay to be emotional and he was glad he and his silly little band had done so much for me. Art was delivered, he loved it—and apparently John (and Da Ve??? I’m in on a secret I guess) are going to be back for the Detroit show or at least there, so he promised to deliver them then. My extra print of his was signed, and so was my setlist! Also I got a hug and some very cute photos. Just truly the sweetest, most down-to-earth gem of a man with the most shockingly calming presence. We all knew he was pretty special, all the guys are, but in person he’s really something else. Thank you again, Dick/Tyler (bc we love the persona but the man himself is just a good guy) and if you ever see this, I promise I’m not crazy and I’m not attempting to clone you in my basement—you just genuinely are my hero. Please don’t push yourself too hard on this tour; we all love you and want you to take care of yourself. ❤️

Anyway. If you read the end of this welcome back to our regularly scheduled nonsense on this blog. I’ll be doing a lot of social media stuff once I quit my job so I can get serious about building up my platforms and working on art and design stuff, so stay on the lookout for that! Also going to attempt this TikTok thing I guess.

Hi!!!! First of all want to say that the rift ch. 7 is amazing and you should pat yourself on the back. It made me feel a spectrum of human emotion in a single chapter that I don't usually get and am not adapted too. Reading it was like bursting. In the best possible way. Also the juxtaposition of the two modern Marcuses worrying and then Acacius just vibing? Took me OUT I love that it is so deeply hilarious to me

Secondly, I wanted to respond to what you said in response to my comments on ch. 6. I 10000000% get wanting feedback and recognition on your incredible works of art and for the work that goes into them (it's partly why I love to leave comments!!). I definitely think more people should show their appreciation bc art is so valuable and joyous and I hope more people take the time to do so!! I was literally telling my friend about the rift the other day bc I was so excited!!

I also want to say that I come back to your words so often I've lost count. Sometimes I'm having a bad day at work and know reading even a few paragraphs from The Crucible will put a smile on my face. Sometimes I reread all of Born to Run specifically to rejoice in exactly how much I love the arc of that fic. I genuinely cannot put into words how much I love No Net Ensnares Me and how much I think about that version of Marcus and what he's up to on any given day and how he felt throughout the events of that fic. And so on, and so forth. Just wanted to tell you that what you write has, and will continue, to stay with me 😊

Hilariously I didn't really think about this until you pointed it out and you are so right hahahaha. The two modern Marcuses are honestly just two little bundles of anxiety to me.

And yeah, it's so hard for me because on the one hand you are not owed engagement and if you're posting stories just for likes, you're going to have a bad time. I definitely like to think that I write my stories for the handful of weirdos that love them, but then on the other hand, engagement *IS* down in a big way, and I've seen a huge decline between when I started writing (2021) and now. And people were saying *already* noting the lack of engagement back then, and it's even worse now.

So even though I do write for the small group of goofy little mutuals, it still stings when other fics get thousands of notes and mine typically get a hundred or so--and yet, it feels rather silly and petulant to complain about.
