Welp kinda late but at first I was a charlos girlie (tho im biased towards carlos), but trust that I tried to gave leclerc chances but spain was it for me.

Like i dont buy that pr shits anymore and every post i look with suspicion. Over the past weeks, it’s been better but after last vegas? Yea no more. Idk how Carlos deals with it, if it was me sock his french face, but Carlos is a bigger person than me so.

Every lecfosis bringing up the move to williams, yea im fucking happy he’s leaving that cursed red team who wants their drivers to become fucking dogs, a teammate that has the ego of a fucking pseudo god, and a toxic fanbase, whom they always regard as ‘passionate’.

Just wanna get it off my chest cause this last triple header is a piece of work already. And really over a P2? Girl. He’s acting like he won’t also do this when he is given the chance, hypocrite.

Well. call me a freak but i never really liked charles even before the Spain thing except only when hes with carlos i will admit theyre fun to watch (off track) but spain def left a bitter taste in my mouth but i was able to move on bc “toxic yaoi yay its fine” but this is getting too tiring to watch atp😭 what i dont like about both spain and las vegas is charles is lashing out for something so minuscule they both werent fighting for the win, they werent the fastest for both races and YET! he was bitching about carlos to everyone

i want to give charles some benefit of the doubt that he’s just mad for how the race went (both in spain and las vegas) and the closest he can find to blame at that moment is carlos but as a carlos fan i don’t enjoy seeing carlos become the punching bag of charles’ fans

how he acts and speaks about carlos gives lecfosis the validation and permission to hate on carlos so yeah i dont think i will be missing too much of charlos after all

i'm sorry but hotd positing that all women are innately cautious and peaceful and compassionate while men are rash warmongers is not a feminist win! i could see the value in everyone being hesitant to go to war at the onset of the story because it intensifies the tragedy of this house tearing itself apart, but at this stage, rhaenyra has as much reason for bloodlust (if not more) as the men on the show. it's pretty heavily implied that the shock of her usurpation killed her daughter, aemond killed lucerys, and one of aegon's kingsguard snuck into her quarters with the intent to assassinate her. most importantly, she has felt entitled to the throne since she was named heir as a child. she should be incensed! rhaenyra's inaction in the season 1 finale due to a sudden aversion to violence was already stretching believability -- this is the same woman who expressed nothing beyond mild shock at vaemond's beheading, who plotted with daemon to have an innocent man killed to facilitate laenor's escape while declaring that the realm should fear her. to have rhaenyra insist on peace at this point in the story, when war is already well underway, is incredibly irrational.

this problem is not limited to rhaenyra. alicent ordered larys to kill mysaria's network of spies and any suspected traitors in the red keep, presumably without any due process, and neither of these decisions was depicted with the gravity they deserved for a character who was once horrified by any bloodshed. meanwhile, aegon had a few extra ratcatchers executed, and not only was the direction sufficiently ominous, but we also got a lengthy monologue from otto about how it would spell his doom. it is probably pointless to bring up rhaenys because she is written less like a believable human being and more like a mouthpiece for the writers to assert whatever political opinion they believe is correct in a given episode -- but she did very much kill dozens if not hundreds of smallfolk last season. she did do that and very clearly did not care. why is she an advocate against war? for both alicent and rhaenys, there is a strange dissonance where their actions are at odds with their attitudes about opposing large-scale war for the good of the realm. i'm not saying this dissonance cannot exist, but it should at least be acknowledged.

helaena raising concerns about the losses suffered by the smallfolk might have worked in isolation, but for it to accompany everything above is exhausting. can none of these women be allowed to feel for themselves?

Alright. For the purpose of my point being more clear I'll recite it here. *barely held in gag*

So, it is obvious that Vander regrets what he did to Silco and that he doesn't view him as a "villian of the story" anymore, so to speak. His murder attempt was purely emotional rather than motivated by ideological opposition or something else. Great.

Buuuut let's rewind to the very start of the series. Right to episode one. There. Take a look at these screenshots.

So Vander says to Benzo that there's someone on their side (the Undercity) who is worse than enforcers. Not even someONE, but someTHING. This implies quite a big level of resentment if you ask me. While he's saying that, he looks at his right hand and touches his uhh...I don't. Know how this thing's called I'm sorry. Let's call it a leather cover. There's clearly a reason why he wears it now, and this seems to be connected to the "thing" they're talking about. Alright. I guess we'll find out more about this later.

Fast forward to episode three. Heeeeey, what is THAT??

So Silco cut his hand?? Well, that all makes sense now then. Something brought Silco and Vander to a conflict, which resulted in Vander trying to kill Silco, and Silco cutting Vander's hand when he was escaping from him. For now (💀) we don't know what exactly caused such a rift between them, but it apparently was something pretty serious considering that Vander even stopped referring to Silco as a person. While he does later says to Silco that what he did to him was wrong, but nothing indicates that Vander changed his opinion on WHY he did it.

Now, there could be an argument that Silco did something that made Vander hate Silco AFTER the river scene, and this is why Vander thinks so badly of him. But earlier in the same episode we see THIS reaction from Vander when Silco appears.

So here's the question: why would Vander react like that to seeing Silco if he knew of something horrible he did post their fallout? What's more likely, he hasn't heard anything about Silco AT ALL, whether he's dead or alive or what he does. So Vander's opinion of Silco ("something worse than enforcers") formed prior to their falling out and it didn't change over time.

Now that we have all that information let's go back to our dear, favorite letter.

Uhhhh so. Vander is an incredibly awful person???? Either that, or he has an extremely severe case of amnesia. Because why would he go from wanting to reconcile with Silco and not blaming him for what happened straight into thinking that he's worse than enforcers and not even a person?? Or in his mind these things can coexist somehow?? And to add to all of that, apparently he never told Benzo the truth about their falling out, and made him think that Silco is an "animal". What, was Vander so butthurt by Silco never contacting him that he went full 5-year-old-mode "Humph!! I hate you now!!" and proceeded to lie to everyone about Silco?? So much for a reasonable and peaceful leader of the Lanes, huh.

But we all know that's not the case at all. The case is, of course, that writers forgot to rewatch season 1 and made up a reason for Vander and Silco to fight which is not at all aligns with what we knew about them and their relationship before. This is, ladies and gentlemen of the jury, one of the biggest cases of negligence in storytelling that I've ever seen.

no no cause hold on Who goes through a scathing media day having the most insane fight seen in potentially years that results in all kinds of weird shit being dragged up with another driver because you essentially called him a two faced bitch for saying you deserved a penalty, a penalty which didn’t even affect the outcome of the race and was also objectively stupid, the driver in question being not only the union director trying to actively get your ass out of community service for saying fuck but also not even someone you’re in a title fight with remotely, mostly because you’ve already won the title and the other guys car is a shit box, which then sparks both of your team principals to go at eachother which they’ve been frothing at the mouth wanting to do for potentially years, all before attending the driver end of year dinner and sitting on the exact opposite side of the table as the guy you’re having beef with then commenting the 🥩 emoji under yet another drivers post saying oh don’t worry the two you’re thinking of were at opposite ends of the table lol and then thinks, in the middle of all this, which by the way is the last race of a season that is not only the longest in history but also one where you were not dominant and won the world title literally with a rear wing that was angle grindered in the garage cause it sucked that bad, and in the midst of continued heated debates over whether or not you yourself are going to retire before your contract is up and also about who your teammate is going to be for the foreseeable future “yeah. this is the perfect time to announce that i am going to be a father.”
