"Him Acting like an asshole instead of actually dealing with his fucking trauma"
This expression on @randomfandombullshiz part, is one of the most terribly wrong and offensive about both Bucky's character and trauma in general.
Needless to say, using the word "fucking" when referring to trauma is horribly offensive to those who suffer from it. No one deals with their trauma *alone*, PTSD and C-PTSD especially, which is what Bucky suffers from, requires years of *proper therapy* and *healthy environment*. Bucky had absolutely none of that, quite the opposite, he literally was exposed to an unhealthy environment early on by having to make amends and believe he is resonsible for a situation in which he is just another innocent victim.
And what's worse is that this was encouraged by both a "therapist", and someone is a counselor at a support group for war veterans (Sam). It is terribly unprofessional for both to encourage Bucky to meet with other victims WITHOUT this being in a controlled environment and a mediator. So NO, Bucky can NOT "magically deal with his trauma and heal on his own".
"Bucky was an asshole to Sam for no fucking reason other than he felt he was entlited to an opinion about a shield that didn't have a shit to do with him."
For starters, that shield has a LOT to do with Bucky.
Sam knows full well that Bucky was there when Steve got the shield, Bucky was there when the concept of Captain America as we know it was born. Bucky was the second person to hold the shield and he did it to protect Steve, saving Steve's life at the cost of his own.
Sam respected Bucky's opinion of the shield enough that he waited for his approval before taking it from Steve's hands. Simply put, Sam knows that the shield DOES have a lot to do with Bucky. For him to have told him otherwise is vile hypocrisy on his part.
For the following I'm going to paste something I had already written on the subject in another "Bucky was 'mean' to Sam" post for using his right of free speech:
Everything Bucky did was to express his displeasure and disapproval about Sam's decision to give up possession of the shield (it's what give up something means), nothing else.
And here's the kicker, Bucky did NOT criticize or judge Sam as a person, he criticized his specific ACTION/DECISION of giving up the shield. At literally no point did Bucky ever insult him or use derogatory terms towards him or label him as incapable of protecting Steve's legacy, something he originally did agree to do.
And I mean, if we think about it, there ARE compelling reasons for Bucky and anyone else to disagree with Sam's decision, and NOT for the fact of him not wanting to wield the shield, BUT for the act of giving up its possession. Giving up its possession to the museum that the government owns. The same government that has proven to make terrible decisions time and time again. The same government that wanted to have control over enhanced people. The same government that confiscated Steve's shield and Sam's wings for being against it. The same government that has proven to be anything but trustworthy and fair. I mean, even if the shield had been kept in the museum, there was a risk that anyone could steal it and do whatever they wanted with it.
So therein lies the problem for Bucky (besides wanting to protect Steve's legacy and the emotional attachment he feels towards the shield), the problem is that Sam put the shield in the hands of those who could misuse it, and literally that's where the whole problem with Walker came from.
It's very unfair to say that Bucky was a asshole to Sam, when he helped him with his mission to capture the Flag Smashers, even when it was none of his business. Bucky actively defended Sam both in combat, and from the racist attitude of the cops in episode 2, as well as Walker's attempt to intervene in Sam's mission for trying to reason with Karli in episode 4: “he knows what he's doing”.
Again, at absolutely no point did Bucky doubt that Sam was a good and capable man and the right one to carry on Steve's legacy. Absolutely none of this is "to be an asshole".
So again and to summarize, Bucky DOES have every right to express his disapproval at Sam's decision to relinquish possession of the shield, because that is a decision that puts at risk the possibility that that symbol could be used for evil. And literally that's what happened with Walker.
This is why I need to stay off of MCU twitter...Bucky stans really put the blame on everyone but him, huh?
#to talk about trauma one must have at least a minimal idea of what it is and how it should be properly treated#and above all to be respectful in this respect#bucky barnes#james bucky barnes#mcu bucky barnes#he is a victim#and a good man#the falcon and the victim blaming#tfatws critisism

Hey there! I read your headcanons and they are pretty cool! I wanted to ask for small headcanons myself
Sniper, Scout and Pauling discovers that reader is a vampire! How will they react?
Reader can be any pronounce you want. You can do romantic or platonic, whatever is comfortable with you!
-💀🌌
→With a vampire!Reader!
Genre: fluff, a lil silly
Characters: Sniper, Scout, and Pauling Warning: canon typical gore.
I love love love this request, thank you so much! This was kind of a hard prompt to get ideas for for some reason. Also I’ve actually never written for Pauling before, let’s hope I get her right!
Sniper
Sniper took note of your gloomy and loner disposition right away.
It’s part of the reason he bothered getting close to you in the first place.
He’s observant so he probably noticed everything separately even if he hadn’t fully put it together yet. Definitely took note of your fangs.
The dislike of garlic, avoiding the sun, never seen eating anything, never seeming flushed or red, your sunken in look, everyone sort of already joked about it.
So he wasn’t all too shocked when you told him.
I honestly imagine he feels pretty threatened by you.
He is generally distrusting of people normally, so you being a night stalking blood drinking beasty doesn’t do much to quell his anxieties.
Couldn’t help but feel intrigued though, can't help but feel compelled by you, even despite his reservations he can't really keep away for long.
The idea of a vampire I feel like would be something he would be very attracted too, the thrill of it all kind of excites him. Of course he doesn't say that, or act on it very often, but you know it anyways.
Idk if this is an out of character headcanon but I highkey think Sniper is a monster fucker.
Supplies you with blood if he sees your low, enjoys how much you brighten after a drink.
Overall finds you very fasicnating, likes learning how to manage life as a vampire
Scout
Scout thinks you're messing with him until the moment he watches you drain the blood from a civilian.
Cautious with the kinds of jokes he makes after that.
He guesses it does kind of make sense in retrospect, you did have a sort of dark air about you.
Honestly finds it so sick, thinks of you as sort of his personal gaurd dog at night, wouldn't say that outloud but internally yes.
He generally would treat you about the same, vampire or not.
If we're talking old timey vampires here finds it hilarious that you can't enter a space without explict permission, will torture you by not inviting you into a room as he walks right through.
Thinks you turning into a bat is one of the coolest things, honestly big jealous vibes from Scout, he wishes he was a big cool vampire too.
It’s a fantasy of his for you to drink some of his blood, is too proud/paranoid to ever say it out loud. But you don’t miss his little sighs as he looks at your fangs.
Secretly dreams of you turning him too, so very secretly.
Pauling
Was honestly so overworked she hardly even noticed.
"Huh? What did you say? Oh yeah, yeah that's nice," she said with a polite nod one day, burying a group of hippies as she did so.
Just enjoys having someone with her during the night, like Scout wouldn't realize you were serious until she sees you feed, once she does it's like a start up noise.
Genuinely uses you as an asset in her work, you turning into a bat and flying is amazing for locating survivors, youre such a big help!
Like I said enjoys the nightly company more than words can describe, she loves quality time.
Really enjoys your darker aesthetic and sometimes thinks you're way too cool to be spending all your time with her.
Will make sure you're always fed, you never have to worry about going hungry while Pauling is around.
If you've been around a few generations wants to hear what life was like before she was around, how it felt to live in a vastly diffrent time period. Finds it so intresting to hear about!
Ohhh boy I hope this is okay anon! Like I said it was kind of hard to think of things to write about for some reason,,, I hope this was good! I had a lot of fun writing it even despite the trouble I had.

vampire dicktim!! bc apparently im watching the vampire diaries now and its Not what i expected lmao. i was originally thinking dark!dick who starts off just kind of playing with his food before he gets attached and ends up turning tim, and maybe thats still how its gonna go but i have like,, ,, au details now
they also spiraled out of control so theyre under a read more lmao
alfred is the one who already a vampire at the start, he turns bruce when bruce is in his late 20s/early 30s (at some point in the early 1900s) cause he got some sort of sickness and was going to die and alfred wasnt gonna have that after martha and thomas had already died.
bruce spends the first year or two almost starving himself cause he doesnt want to kill anyone and doesnt trust himself to drink from a person and not stop before they die, alfred ends up forcing him to drink from peoplem with bruce's condition that alfred be there to step in if bruce starts to take too much. they go on like this until bruce trusts himself and does the whole "drink, compel them to forget, release" but he's still not super happy with drinking from people
bruces moves a lot, but every so many years he goes back to gotham until it becomes necessary to move away again to keep his secret, and in the 1940s hes left gotham again and stumbles across halys circus when dick is orphaned, and ofc he takes dick, but this is less "legal ward" and more "kidnapping that goes unsolved" - not that dick sees it that way, hes kind of obsessed with the fact that bruce is a vampire, actually, and he keeps badgering him to turn him, but bruce refuses while he's still a kid
they get into a big fight still when dick is 18 bc bruce still refuses to turn him, so dick runs off, assumes bruce could/would come find him if he /really/ wanted to, but he doesnt.
not until he finds out that dick has been seeing known vampire hunter slade wilson (also we're gonna say hes immortal for handwavey reasons, i want him to be able to pop back up later lmao). bruce gets in the middle of it, tells dick that slade was only into him to get to bruce, and causes another huge fight. when slade ends up actually saving bruce from something else during all this bc he knows that despite everything bruce does mean something to dick, it ends in a tentative, temporary truce (and a break up) but in all the mess, dick was grievously injured and bruce finally turns him
they end up moving back to gotham in the 1980s and enter jason. jason differs from dick in a lot of ways, but most especially in the fact that he does not want to be turned like dick did, he only entertains the idea because he feels like he /needs/ to be a vampire to be bruce's son. so jason is conflicted, but he knows bruce wouldnt even consider turning him until he's older anyway so he has some time to figure it out. but when he's 17 and his birthday is looming closer and closer, he starts to worry more about it.
he finds out about his birth mother then and seeks her out in another attempt at family bc of his conflicting feelings about bruce and vampirism in general. it ends similarly to canon, except like with dick, bruce ends up turning jason to save him. it causes more issues between them, jason mad he didnt get a choice in the matter and bruce unwilling to budge from the choice of making sure jason didnt die
jason and bruce have a blow out about this and jason threatens to just run away, something about how dick managed just fine at his age and bruce let him. bruce counters that dick wasnt a vampire at the time, let alone a freshly turned one. he ends up sending jason to stay with talia- just for a few years, so jason isnt totally on his own and bruce doesnt have to worry so much, but jason will still get his space
enter tim. who realized the wayne's secret at a young age and kept quiet about it because they clearly werent killing anyone- and actually, when other vampires did kill in gotham, the waynes seemed to be the ones to quickly take care of the problem. so yeah, tims not scared of them, and he keeps their secret. it doesnt hurt that he's always had a big crush on dick too.
and dick can tell that tim has a crush, they both in the high society circle so its not like theyre strangers. he doesnt know tim /knows/ at first, he just starts flirting to pass the time. things have been boring recently.
bruce adopted an animal diet several years before taking in jason, and tried to get dick to do the same but he refused. the immortality wasnt the only reason he wanted to be a vampire in the first place, after all.
so with jason gone and bruce walking the line of "the friendliest vampire to exist" dick was getting a little stir crazy. he was even in an off period with the on-again-off-again slade situationship. thats why he starts to play with tim, thinks he'll flirt and fluster the kid until he gets old enough to play with in other ways
its not long before he realizes tim knows. and that intrigues him to no end- because how does he know? when did he find out? why hasnt he told anyone?
its not much longer after that that tim freely offers his blood to dick. a cute little "i want to know what it feels like" when dick asks why, and how is he supposed to say no to that?
#i wanna come back to this lol#damian does show up at some point too#but i wanna actually write some of the dicktim stuff before i get into that#cause jason comes home at some point too#i didnt mean for there to be real plot to this#but damn if it isnt here now lmao#dicktim#timdick#melodys words#melodys works

Do you personally like Andrea Rojas as a character?
I honestly wasn't a huge fan at first, but I think with some rewatches, I've changed my tune.
On my first watch of S5 when she's first introduced, I think I kinda brushed her off. She was fine but not the most compelling to me. She seemed written as kind of a means to add depth to the Kara/Lena rift (Lena needed to get away from CatCo, Lena needed more backstory for why betrayal hurts her so much, the weird way they wove in Lena's magic and how she needed the medallion to stop Lex) and Andrea really shakes things up at CatCo, so I was kind of annoyed about her at first. And then Crisis happened and honestly I fucking hate Crisis because I feel like they handled it so poorly on Supergirl (idk how it was for other arrowverse shows) and she just kind of seemed confusing post-Crisis, so I didn't really give her much attention.
But now that I've watched Supergirl, like, so many times, she's grown on me and I get a little upset about how they introduced her as a character just to totally underwrite all her character development with crisis. Andrea is actually a really tragic character, to me. Here are some moments that really shine for me pre-crisis, and I wish we had gotten a little more depth especially post-crisis:
(putting under the cut because wow, maybe I need to read/write some Andrea fics? I clearly have a lot of Thoughts?)
I do like her backstory with Russell and it adds to her character. Their meet-cute is adorable. And she's definitely a "you jump, I jump" kind of gal even with Russell. "Don't kill Russell, he's useful to you." Andrea is super smart and strategic. We don't get a "please don't kill him, I love him, what you're doing is wrong," change your mind/inspire hope kind of speech like we'd get from Kara. Andrea doesn't know a lot about Leviathan, but she knows enough to realize that showing that Russell could be useful is a better tactic to saving him than begging for his life. And it kind of works, sort of. He's alive.
Andrea fiercely loves. Lena asks her to drop everything and go pretend to be explorers to find some medallion that may or may not exist, during a very tumultuous time in Andrea's life, and Andrea does it. She accepts some mysterious bargain for her father's life, then kills when she has to to continue protecting her father. She reasons with Leviathan for Russell's life. Truly, she will do anything for those she loves.
But that's where the tragedy happens. She loves Lena. She loves Russell. But when she has to choose, she chooses her father first, and it destroys her other relationships eventually. (And the fact that her post-Crisis, Earth Prime father blames her when Obsidian tanks is heartbreaking, but I guess we'll get there.) She says it's the biggest mistake of her life, that she never wanted to betray Lena, that the medallion is a burden. I honestly want to know why the medallion unlocked her powers. What does that mean? I have so many questions.
Andrea pre-crisis is a pretty sympathetic character too. She doesn't kill because she's evil. She does it to protect the people she loves. Yeah, it's for evil Leviathan, but honestly I think that's what makes Eve a sympathetic character to me too. Getting blackmailed to do evil things because you love someone? That's some interesting shit, and I do think we kind of get some payoff on this post-crisis.
The scene where Andrea asks for Lena's help to break into the DEO is delicious to me. Andrea just wants to fix her mistakes. She wants to do good, too. ("Honey, when I look at you all I can feel is pain." Why can't queer people have normal breakups??) Lena says she's tired of people hurting each other. She reluctantly agrees to help Andrea (which is, in a way, betraying Kara for Andrea) and then turns around and betrays Andrea (she seems to be all bark and no bite though. "Russell, put down the scalpel" LOL Katie's delivery is so good there). Lena's hurt (she just wants to be someone's #1 for once) and she lashes out like she normally does. It's so deliciously messy and heartbreaking and makes for a good story. There's no doubt that all three characters (including Kara in this, because it's hard to talk about the theme of betrayal without her) are motivated by love, and they all choose to handle it in such different ways.
Idk. I could go on. They really packed quite a bit into the 7? 8? episodes before crisis and I think it pays off pretty well. And then crisis happens, and Earth Prime Andrea is there and....??? They let us lean on knowing Andrea's character pre-crisis but do nothing to distinguish her or tell us what her Earth Prime backstory and motivations are (this just seems to be the common theme with crisis. Like, how does Kelly react to crisis? I think she gets her memories back, but like, she doesn't even know Kara is Supergirl at this point, so??? Anyway this is about Andrea not Kelly).
They get rid of the Russell backstory completely (? I think?). She still has the medallion, so I guess she betrayed Lena, but Lena seems over it because Andrea is useful, so they don't even really get a good reconciliation since Lena brushes it off (not that they ended pre-crisis on good footing, but at least everything was out in the open?).
The only real scene I think has some substance is when Andrea is tasked with killing Supergirl, but even then, I feel like this scene does much more to show Lena's character arc than Andrea's given that we're given practically nothing about Earth Prime Andrea. If you think of it in light of where we know Earth-38 Andrea ended up, it's kind of beautiful to watch Andrea make the choice to be the person she really wants to be (@fazedlight has a really great post about this).
I also think the scene where Kelly finds Andrea crying after the Obsidian debacle to be quite poignant, but only through the lens of knowing Earth-38 Andrea. Earth-38 Andrea sacrificed everything for her father, and her Earth Prime father is so quick to push her under the bus.
I'm getting things a little out of order in my head and I don't have time to go watch, but I think after that, Andrea chooses to kind of rescue herself, make sure she's set up when everything falls apart. I think this is an interesting choice for her. I love that she's choosing herself for the first time, and not doing something self-sacrificial for someone else. But it's still pretty morally gray of her to break into her father's account to buy up her shares of Obsidian. And then, later, she tries reconnecting with Lena for what seems to be the sole purpose of getting a scoop, which Lena doesn't appreciate.
Are those examples of Andrea being who she wants to be? It could go two ways: one, yes, this is her being who she wants to be, and that person is someone who's gonna do anything to get to where she wants to go. I could see it, but it's kind of a sad way for Andrea, who loved so fiercely in Earth-38, to end up as a character. Two, it could be that choosing to do good is hard, and sometimes we slip up. If that were the case, I wish we had gotten more from her as a character at the end of S5 and into S6. Lena and Andrea do somewhat reconcile I think (I’m not quite remembering exactly how, but I remember they’re friendly by the time Lena goes to Newfoundland), but we don't get a lot of them after that.
SO. Do I like Andrea as a character?
Yes? Earth-38 Andrea is certainly an interesting and tragic character. Earth Prime Andrea? Eh. Earth-38 Andrea was kind of set up to be an interesting comparison to Lena and Kara’s falling out and then they were like, well I guess she’s on Earth Prime but we don’t really care to redevelop her backstory. It’s a shame, because I think they could’ve done so much more, especially with her relationship with Lena.
#oh my god I don’t think anon wanted a novel but here we are#I didn’t realize I had so many thoughts and feelings#I actually was thinking about Andrea the other day while high and watching supergirl#apparently I processed a lot while I was high lmao#kj answers#andrea rojas

Hey, just saw your post about Veilguard - do you mind me asking what it is that put you off? Thanks!
I can start by saying I've not played it. I'm not going to at this point. But basically, every cutscene and dialogue option and plot point I've watched. And for those of you that don't remember I was hugely critical of Inquisition despite my love for it. And I downright hated Trespasser. So this shouldnt be shocking.
And its a lot of stuff I dont like. I can make a short list of major things below, obvious spoilers.
Please dont read this if it will make you angry okay? This is a lot of angry ranting.
1. I said this with inquisition and trespassers but veilguard seals my hatred for the decision to center the entire plot of ripping apart the dalish culture and religion. I'm sorry I just don't think this is compelling. It's icky to create an oppressed and marginalized race with parallels to most indigenous cultures in the real world, and basically call them wrong and stupid for clinging to their culture and history. I don't care that validating the Enuvanris existance means also invalidating the maker and the tevinter reiligions too, or even the dwarven: the game centers this narrative on the DALISH. The entire implication that its their fault all along or they sold themselves into a cult and slavery is gross. The game could have easily done this but centered it around the Maker. Andraste as the blight corrupted crazy deity or spirit whatever the fuck. Makes more sense with how much Chantry has been shoved down our throats since origins, and given how much wider spread it is after literal genocides of the dalish, qun, etc it would just mean a lot more to target the oppressors/majority religion directly. And look listen, I'm a pretty hardcore athiest and even anti thiest. I hate all religions, I find stories about dismantling religion compelling but to couch it histories of marginalized people like... its just not great. Not to mention twisting their gods into systematic greedy people or shoving their "bestest god" into a human woman and trying to make her prostheltize at me. I don't like it!
2. I get why old decisions dont matter. The world is too big, sure. I dont mind that at all, actually, even with all the problems, it gives people invested in those choices. Im happy to accept it. But then... make the actual plot less beholden to it. Why bring in cameos at all, then? Fuck man set it 50 or 80 years later. But if you cant cause everyone wants closure in the DA fandom then give us closure. If not personal closure with wardens and hawkes and etc cause its all too variant — lore closure. We arent going to talk about how darkspawn were thinking and talking? Blight was always just a random elvhen weapon? What apparent the tevinter magisters then? What about the architect? What about the idea of darkspawn becoming their own race and culture? What about the old gods themselves they were just always enuvanris? How do magisters actually feel about that? Why did those who worshipped corypheous or the black church follow Elvhen gods, their most oppressed and hated enemy aside from the qunari?
Speaking of, what about all of us who wanted to confront Minrathous and Tevine for the atrocities we've built up about it for 3 games. Slavery? Off screen solved before we get there? Dorian fixed it all? I had a heated debate with Dorian about him saying how slavery wasnt all that bad "They like being slaves!" And so many conversations with Fenris about how horrible it is. Rape and murder and submission? We don't as players get to finally confront that?
How about red lyrium being sentient. How about it being a tool the elvhen then used to murder titans, but not its alive and unstoppable? How can anything be unblighted? Because plot?
What of the calling? What of it really? What of those in The Calling who were unblighted? nothing?
Not even a deep conversation about the murky ethics of liberation/slavery when it comes to the Antivan crows stealing children? I'm to forget that?
How about anything all to do with the Qun? How about that burnt in memory I have of Saarabas immolating himself in service to not just the system of his culture but his belief in his faith. We're writing him off as a terrorist and not as an example of the Qun? Lets be really real; they have been retconning the Qun every game till now them being a fully gender and sexual accepting society.
How about the changes of mages vs templars if and maybe they walk free now? As if that entire conflict wasnt the brewing boiling point for three games?
What about the elvhen rebellion they so rightly started after centuries or murder and racism? Can we stop pretending that rebellion isnt an act of violence and has to be? Can we stop erasing the idea that systemical upheavel can be anything other than radical? Hello? Anders is one the phone asking for you?
How about that ending, the veil isn't even torn? Spirits don't walk the earth as intended. Why not solas' plan? Why not restore order. Why not join or dissuade him as he asked us to in trespasser?
It just all feels washed off, Thedas. I'm allowed to be angry and upset that they spanned all of these topics and asked me to engage with them on a deep ethical and moral grounds only to never mention them again. I dont think making your player base feel stupid for caring is great.
3. On personal levels, Solas has been ooc since trepasser. And frankly, the explanation of his relationship with Mythal is disgusting. Made the first slave and turned from his true nature into a tool of war—and reaffirming his subservance by making it that only Mythal could stop him? How is that not a toxic dynamic, and they fram it as loving and romantic? Imagine them trying that Fenris who can only be talked down by Danerous. Come on. It should have been Lavellan — or it really should have been not at all. Let him. The devs want to destory Thedas and start over? Let solas reset time and recreate the earth and tear is all down and erase most of the history. Do it you cowards. Give me an unrecognizable DA5 where spirits and mages rule and the elvhen thrive and war with each other. Give me slaved humans and a topsy turvy all that changes remains the same reality. Why not if you want to illuminti titan everything anyway.
4. I dont believe in the veilguard, I should have a choice not to. I should have a reason to care about it or my companions or fewl some sort of reason we must all work together aside from "theyre adorable". All the other games you had companion parties in organic and believable ways. Rook is leader cause.... ? What if I dont want to be? At least my Dalish inquisitor fought tooth and nail not to be called a christian messiah. Hawke had FRIENDS. And the warden found those who knew what a blight meant. And many of all of us disagreed. Vivianne got not sympathy from me. Why should Neve? Fenris will leave your party if you waste your time when the Magister comes to town. I dont want to coddle Harding about her stupid chantry. I do not to talk to Lucanis happily about the crows. Maybe I dont want to be friendly all the time. Maybe I hate everything Bellara is doing. Or taash.
5. The writing was on the wall in inquistion hoenestly. What with Iron bull letting me decide is he mass murders his found family or not. But jesus these new companions are like 10 yrs old. I don't know you decide. Your a fucking adult. I cant take a single one of them seriously. Even Sera screamed and yelled at me if I challenged her. Solas and I almost broke up mutiple times arguing about tradition and purpose or that damn Mythal well (again and no wonder he would object to doing anything akin to being emslaved by her, only to submit himself in this game. As if the well mattered at all. As if morrigan matters at all.) I just don't feel as though I'm bonding with anyone, I'm babysitting. Im being told what a great person I am that I can teach everyone elementary school behaviorial learning. I dont want to, I dont even want to be "good".
6. Petty stuff:
I hate the art style both in the UI and the models. I hate it. And the expressions are so poor compared even to Da2.
I hate all the armors. Everyone is bulky. Hate it.
Ugly combat.
Cant control or walk around as my companions and try out other classes.
CC cant change eyes or facial structure much so all rooks heads look the same and kinda... everyone looks like a dwarf. Sorry. Imo, imo, every rook I have seen looks like a dwarf.
Dont like the music.
Dragons are ugly.
Morrigans outfit makes it look like she has 4 titties.
I hate this elvhen "steampunk" tech when so much of their magic was shown to be earthen and mystic. Dumb. No explanation as why it would become this way it just is now.
Blood magic erasure cause the devs are scared of us being cool I guess.
I hate the humor. Every joke doesnt land for me. And there are simply too many.
#in the long run i just think they dropped the ball#the romances arent steamy#the coversations are dull#the politics are akin to a 6th grade civis class

Be totally honest: would you like Jenny Calendar at all if she weren’t hot? Throughout her very limited time on the show, she’s either an arrogant, cold bitch or has no personality at all. She never seems to actually love Giles in the slightest and in fact thinks she’s superior to him in every way. Come to think of it, she clearly thinks she’s cooler than and superior to everyone. She’s mean and blunt but not even honest like Cordelia – it turns out she was lying to everyone like entire time about who she is and why she was in Sunnydale. So basically we can add duplicitous liar to her list of flaws. There’s really just not one thing to possibly like about her except her looks! Is it one of those things where you just kind of made up who the character is because she sucks so much in reality? And now it’s even harder to like the character because the actress who plays her is such a horrible person.
OH MY GOD IT’S YOU AGAIN!!!! i wanna believe so bad that you’re that same anon from when i was fourteen? for those who aren’t TOTALLY familiar, there’s a tumblr anon i have seen more than once before when people talk about jenny calendar — has hit up quite a lot of inboxes over the last eight years with talking points and messages exactly like this. of course it’s always so genuinely possible that this is someone else, but i so ardently hope it is not!
because like. okay man i am so serious about this, i know this is probably going to come off as flippant tumblr humor, but the fact that you’re still doing what you’re doing brings me such genuine joy? i honestly had such a really hard year, like just really bad, and felt genuinely so disconnected from jenny as a character and a concept, which was so truly heartbreaking to me! and to see you in my inbox again really makes me feel like you’ve recognized me as someone who really loves her and is moved by her. like a little badge of honor.
and i also like. on a personal level really love this message, because it is such a sweet thing to receive? you and i both care so much about this woman that we’re writing impassioned paragraphs to others who we know care about her, because we want it known that we feel really deeply about her. we want our feelings recognized. i absolutely agree with you, man — jenny is such a special and compelling character. it’s hard not to feel a whole bunch about her when she’s onscreen, and it’s even harder not to want to talk about her with other people who think about her so much. i would genuinely love to talk to you off anon if you’re ever interested. i am seriously so curious about what draws you to her.
(tho ok little editorial note can you mayyybe not use the word bitch? kind of a deeply offensive term to use for women.)

This parallel makes me insane actually (and there is something incredibly Lawlu about it to me)
#One Piece#Monkey D. Luffy#Sanji#Trafalgar Law#Lawlu#something about Luffy saying almost the exact same thing that Corazon said to Law makes me so emotional actually#It's easy to think Corazon and Luffy would get along. they are both kindhearted goofy sweethearts#but it's more than JUST that#it's that deeper thing where they understand and carry the pain of the people they hold dear#And it's the fact that overhearing Corazon say this is pretty much what changed Law's life#To know that he is cared for and seen and someone wants the best for him#And then Law loses him#And then years later he aligns himself with Monkey D Luffy#Someone who has these echoes of Corazon in him#The echoes of the person he held so close to his heart#Like. It's no wonder Law is so compelled and mystified by Luffy in equal measure#I think if Law heard Luffy say this to Sanji he'd go insane#cause I know he's remember everything Cora said that night exactly#and it might tell him why he sought out and believed in Luffy against all odds and logic#(why he cares for him so much too. why Luffy's stubborn insistence on loving him without condition is so familiar)#I don't even know if these tags are making any sense but IM FEELING THINGS OK#donquixote rosinante#Corazon

lucanis truly has a near terminal case of burned out golden child syndrome. caterina fucked both of these kids over so incredibly bad with the dynamic she enforced there, with illario being labled the perpetual fuckup kid where lucanis 'could do no (would never be allowed to do) wrong'. the way he admits in the first coffee date scene that the only thing that happened when he showed he could carry the weight of expectation was that more weight was added makes me so sad. you can hear it in caterina's voice in his intro mission that she's incredibly proud of him, but this is clearly a leandra and hawke situation where that pride never translates into relief or resolution or unconditional warmth or understanding or anything that really helps.
#you messed up an excellent little autistic dude caterina look at him he has no personal life and his only friend is his scar-ass cousin!!#because that's what you told him he has to be and he believed you!!!#all that and you wouldn't even let him have a wyvern dagger just for fun and b/c it makes him SO happy? when i get you caterina dellamorte#I'm finding the crow family drama so compelling in this game I'm just hanging around treviso Observing haha#I wish they'd given illario a bit more nuance in this (as I feel he does have in the wigmaker job)#b/c with the sheer pantomime susness he's got going on they really don't want you to engage with him deeply haha#also teia mvp as always but I think that goes without saying (and happily all these lads around her seem to know it)#both lucanis and viago like 'thank you teia you're the best 🥺' and she's like 'yeah I know'#protective big sis of the remaining crow family haha. and she's got to be barely thirty years old at this point. I'm love her so much#'*annoyed voice* MAKER HELP US' she's saying what we're all thinking#dragon age#dragon age: the veilguard#dragon age: the veilguard spoilers#dragon age spoilers#lucanis dellamorte#I think my rook is having some uncomfortable moments of realizing some parallels here with their own relationship to the watchers haha#like 'buddy you're so much more than just a tool for your family to use. I however have a sacred duty I was banished from#the fulfilment of which determines my entire worth and that I am low-key mourning behind the levity b/c that's what I was made for. ...wait#I feel like rye was more the illario & lucanis combo only child tho. wants so much to be good but keeps getting into Shenanigans#chaotic underachiever with frankly upsetting potential when they actually get their act together and they WANT to so bad#but also. shenanigans keep happening. releasing blighted gods is only barely the wildest of them

free my complex female character, she did the same thing as complex male characters but the fandom takes Any analysis of her actions/choices/motivations that doesn’t strip her of all of her agency in bad faith and claims that only misogynists would dare to critique the things that they’ve noticed in her character because she’s a woman, completely ignoring the over-presence of discourse about similarly traited male characters in their fandom.
#exhausted by people categorizing CRITIQUE. not even genuine hate just literally basic analysis of imogen’s character#as a) hate at all but b) misogynistic simply because… they assume the person like caleb and percy uncritically like#i love imogen and i love her because she’s riddled with complexity that gives reason for her to be unlikeable#the shit ashton says makes me want to tear out my hair and i could write analysis on why but they’re still one of my favourite characters#i enjoy caleb but watching him infuriated me because of his self interest which is a coherent trait of his but is a tiring one#similarly with percy of love his pretentious Smartest In The Room shit but sometimes it meant he treated others more poorly than necessary#but i’m not unpacking all of that just so i have some fandom mandated right to say that i think there’s an aspect of a female character#that is imperfect in the human sense#because like. i will continue to call imogen’s self interested until the world burns and the moon shatters. because she is.#the only reason her choice to do good is compelling at all is because the choice to do otherwise is so tangible#it isn’t a Mistake or Fault that she’s self interested. it’s by design#like. she reaches towards the storm in curiosity in her sleep. but then she fights back when she’s awake#that’s it#that’s the dynamic. that’s what’s compelling#but no ur right fandom. let’s instead all agree that imogen is actually just intrinsically good#and take away all agency and complexity and humanity from her#and instead slap a sticker of Morally Good and enjoy the caricature of her where she’s made to fit into the imagine of#the latest aesthetic ad for diarrhoea medication#imogen temult#critical role#inspired as always by dumbass twitter posts that i’m subjected to because of school n work#the worst part is i do like the laudna n imogen dynamic in the stagnancy where it is but so much of that fandom is so clear in their erosion#of both characters actuality to suit the picture of Ship Tropes#like fuckin. so much of imogen’s fanart in imodna making her fat which as a fat person great love to see it#not so much when it’s clearly to make her short n stout against laundas tall n lanky.#anyway

#i’m putting this down here because i don’t actually really want to talk about it or answer asks about it but i’m like a little annoyed lmao#first of all obviously people should have boundaries and not be annoying/invasive/etc. duh.#i have been around the rpf block many a time and rule 1 is don’t be a weirdo. don't let it out of fandom spaces :)#but yeah idk. oliver stark to me feels like someone who is actually very familiar with the mechanics of fandom warfare#and therefore does not know how to log off when it starts to get personal#like to be clear i definitely do not think he engages directly with This fandom other than to lurk and spy on people for fun/haterism#but in MY opinion he has the energy of a person who spends a nonzero amount of time engaged in petty anonymous beef#over a character or a ship or a sport or a new brand of tofu. idk i don’t really care what he’s into#but it does sort of seem like he forgets that when he’s doing it on his real socials with his real face and real name attached#people are going to know that it’s him and respond accordingly and he should just like. block them and move on.#and maybe even go back to his burner and vague about it or something if he truly cannot just walk away.#which he does seem to be sort of getting slightly better at but it's still just like. yeah man! i don't know what to tell you.#people are weird sometimes. we all get weird anons and dm’s and people cyberbullying us. it sucks and it shouldn't happen but it does.#and you do literally just have to find ways to make it easier to ignore them. i know that you know this#because you are a human who grew up on the same exact internet as the rest of us.#i say; as i feel compelled to post about a tiny situation from like 12 hours ago that has literally nothing to do with me#anyway!!!!!!!#i went into the settings to turn off reblogs and thought how funny would it be if i blazed this post lmao

something really gets to me about eiffel and hera talking to themselves while addressing each other - in am i alone now? and the watchtower in particular. i can't say this to you, but you're still the person i want to tell it to. i know there's no way you can hear me, but if you can...
eiffel talks to himself a lot, and he is very used to being alone with no one paying much attention to the things he says, so i'm not sure he ever realized exactly how much until he was on the hephaestus. in the early days of the mission, i imagine hera responded to a lot of eiffel's asides and sort of embarrassed them both. and then that sort of... shifted. their relationship shifted, they got comfortable being around each other, and eiffel's conversations with himself started including hera, too. i like the idea of that as an establishing moment: that, at some point, there was a first time eiffel said something in an empty room, and hera was so used to him talking to himself that she didn't realize it was meant for her, and he asked her, "hera? are you there?"
i imagine hera still talked to eiffel, too, when they all thought he was dead. with each day increasingly longer and more difficult, that she would vent her frustrations to the empty comms room the same way he would've encouraged her to when he was there. she can't talk to anyone the way she can talk to him, and they just... keep talking to each other, even when they can't. they are so much a part of each other, the voice of encouragement and comfort in each other's heads. for so long, all they can really do for each other is talk, and they maintain that connection even in absence. they ask each other "are you there?" like reaching for each other's hands in the dark.
#wolf 359#w359#doug eiffel#hera wolf 359#eiffera#was talking about the middle part of this with beth hephaestuscrew earlier and she got the gears in my head turning#this kind of feels like multiple posts mashed together but i just. mm.#the importance of communication in all wolf 359 relationships but especially between eiffel and hera because it's so much of what#tethers hera to everyone and everything else. that even if she's annoyed sometimes by eiffel asking if she's there. it's also#a comfort in a way that he wants that affirmation. he's reaching out to her in the best way he knows how. and she does it too#i said some version of the last line of this in the tags of another post once but i think about it. i think about it.#there's something about how. hm.#eiffel drives conversations in the show. he's the communications officer. he gets people talking#and hera is the type of person who. goes quiet more often who shuts down and internalizes#that she's as much defined by the things she doesn't say.#and then. that some part of their relationship then ends up defined by things that couldn't be said#'hera i ---' but also that she calls him doug when she's 'talking' to him#but never directly never actually to him#i know not everyone will agree with me on this but i sincerely do think eiffel/hera is a canon romance it's just. an incomplete one#and something about that compels me very much.

FUCK RECENT BOOK JUST ENDED?!?!???!!
#i have been away too long. WEIRD ass position to be in.#constantly obsessing over my interest but getting scared to interact w it outside of the mind palace#gguuuhhh..... the... ISSUES....... why do i have so many of them...#I NEVER EVEN FULLY FINISHED SEIDER'S BOOK. i was scared of disappointment and scared of an ending#ugh .. but i am... so invested in ratatoskr... alfonse's insane dynamic w her. even if we don't see more of it#like. just the fact that we got That Scene. gave me enough of alfonse's character to work w for A LIFE TIME.#like to me. it can DIRECTLY translate to how he theoretically has been w sharena growing up.#and it still drives me so insane that alfonse has no personal attachment to ratatoskr and is (EVEN SELF ADMITTED!)#using her to his own ends. BUT. BUT. he's still so fucking good to her??? respecting her autonomy#again even if that WAS to win her over. like he was So good about it. IDK IDK IT'S THAT MIXTURE#of an act being purely practical and even self-serving. but he's honest and kind about it.#and ultimately it's on her if she wants to accept that under the given conditions/expectations.#and then ofc the Scheming. alfonse's METICULOUS ride or die act. ratatoskr made the informed choice to trust him#AND BOY HOWDY. WHAT THE FUCK. SIR. i KNOW you have your reasons and all of this is a means to an end#AND THAT'S WHAT DRIVES ME EVEN MORE INSANE. give him a compelling enough reason not just personal practical too#and even if he met you like yesterday. or maybe generously. maybe a week has passed.#this guy is both READY and WILLING. to put his life on the line for you. GOD.#uhghhhh... maybe i should actually play feh.........

It’s actually insane how fandom in general has become so scared of making weird and dark and ugly works. Like I look at myself and see how I have also subconsciously adapted this instinct to self censor and make things “marketable” and it’s making me want to crawl out of my skin. I need to get weirder and worse and more off-putting hello
#I need to write a proper Spectra&Gus meta bc it’s been cooking me how people don’t Want to see the insanity in them#argh#d0 stuff#negative#d0 smashes the keyboard#like yes#Gus’s devotion and loyalty are extreme and these feelings make him do stupid things that he is absolutely aware of being stupid#but let’s not pretend that these feelings go both ways in their relationship#Spectra (for like. the majority of the New Vestroia except the maybe last 12 eps?) sees Gus as a convenient tool#like Yeah he is like. a person and all that but Spectra doesn’t Interact with him when it doesn’t concern his business so#and also yes. he gives Gus a level of autonomy that one might not exactly expect from how usually these relationships go but#one Has to question if it’s bc of his goodwill or bc he is safe in his knowledge that Gus would never leave him#which. fun and sick and makes them sooo compelling#I would also argue that Spectra/Keith don’t even miss Gus when he ‘died’ as a person at first#but as the second pair of hands for work#like it was quite funny to see Spectra give instructions to air only to be reminded that his minion died#but it does rise the question of why hasn’t it happened before or in any other situation#(which I must say I really dig because yes. Spectra has always been centred around his ambitions so ofc this is where it would hurt first)#but yeah. sth sth Spectra only starts his journey of Actually giving a shit about Gus and acknowledging his importance to him as a person#by the end of nv#you could still argue it was partially (or maybe wholly) motivated by convenience that Gus presents but#it really was the first time Spectra has personally expressed his tie to Gus gah#all of this to say#they are sickos; each in their own way; and I think we can really make this more sinister and insane than we’ve allowed ourselves#throughout the years so far#like yeah. can I see them as a happy couple? sure! but also can I see this as a very codependent (more so from Gus’s angle) relationship#that’s being sprinkled with Tons of manipulation from Spectra? also yes#actually sorry for this wall of tags idk what got me thinking about them again#but it’s so so biting the bars day bc these guys are so fun!! we just have to let them be and maybe read canon through less good intentions#ok uhhh

Ep 5!!!
#Episodes that make me go “The author has never talked with a woman ever” 😓😓😓#I don't like how Lucy's character is handled at all. And I feel like I can't talk about it because I'm just going to sound like a bitter–#ss/kk shipper... But I really don't like it. And if it can help my case I'm a multishipper so I really don't take any–#issues with atsu/lucy I like the ship quite a lot actually.#So you're telling me there's this girl... Who meets this boy who pretty much ruined her life by directly causing her to lose her job...#And the next time she sees him she's going to sacrifice her own freedom for him as well as tell him “when you're done doing your things–#come and save me” (longest ewwww ever)... And when she regains freedom (author didn't bother to explain how because they don't care)–#she goes to work... As a waitress at the café beneath his workplace. So he can keep doing his Cool Superpowers Job while she literally–#must serve him every time he visits the place. It's just ?????????????????????????????????#Look‚ I don't dislike Lucy and I feel general affection towards her. It's just that they make her act like no one ever would#Just for the sake of the plot I guess#And like I knoww it's (probably just a little) more nuanced than that. I know Lucy is living her own fairy tale fantasy.#It's just that what I've said about her story is still true‚ you know?#I'm sorry but as sweet as atsu/lucy can be. I really hate the author for making Lucy a waitress. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry.#It's so weird. This anime has women writing standards that feel like dating back to the 20s#Same with Katai and the ideal woman tbh. Like why are women to be seen as this abstract impersonal entities? Why can't they just be people?#Ideal for WHO. It's like super screwed up of a concept. What even is an ideal woman? What does it mean to be a woman anyways?#They just want to say “ideal wife”. But women aren't made to be wives their existence isn't functional to another person.#Sorry. I derail. Next episode is going to be even worse on this front ughhhh#Back to the episode: once again it really shows they were running out of budget with this season‚‚‚ the animation looks very suffered#Too many flashback also... I feel bad for the animators tbh#I don't really like the shift in art style :( Not even Atsushi I found particularly pretty this episode my heart cries#The nail pulling thing made me feel like throwing up afhsjyabfsbfwasfvb I feel like I can bear worse gore but there's a couple of little–#specific things I can't stand and this seems to be one of them pffftttt#I like Higuchi I think she's both very funny and cool. I really wish she was explored more (but then again looking at Teruko... )#The relationship between Kunikida and Katai looks so interesting even though we only get glimpses of it. Kunikida regrets Katai leaving–#the ada but is also happy for him but also worries for him. He comes to his house seemingly to check on him and starts cleaning around.#The way he loves him and cherishes their friendship and shared history is really evident and it makes for a compelling dynamic.#Perhaps I should read their short story... In any case. Going to someone's house and compulsively start doing the dishes half out of will–#to help out half because he can't bear the mess sounds a lot like something I'd do lol

*When asked about Sonic*
Chaos Sonic: Hah. So we're still talking about that blue pitstain? Whatever. He can be fun to toy with, sure, but he's old news. Last year's model. A failure of a friend and a passable hero. Nine wants him alive for "some reason"—that involves his "intense attachment"—so I won't kill him or anything. I'll leave him alone in a room with Nine over my dead body—or my best friend's wishes, since I cannot bear to refuse him. If I could, though, I'd love the chance to "play" with him some, "rough him up" a little as payback for how he treated my best friend.
Alpha Grim Sonic (answering via writing it down, sign language, transmission, whatever because he's mute): You refer to the blue hedgehog. Once upon a time, my master, Nine, seemed to be troubled when thinking of him. There was a time when Sonic brought a fight to our doorstep, but no matter how Sonic may have hurt him in the past, he has chosen to preserve my master's life. Nine seems to trust him, and Sonic has not threatened his life. So, as I do not have the capacity to experience such things as "emotions", and they would not matter even if I did have the ability, I do not mind if my master associates with Sonic the Hedgehog. If Nine is happy, and the hedgehog does not intend harm upon him, then all is well.
ㅤ
*When asked about Shadow*
Chaos Sonic: Oh, he's that black hedgehog, right?! Seems cool! I'd love to race him sometime. Of course, I'll fight him too if he intends to lay a finger on my best buddy, but all is well if he plays nice.
Alpha Grim Sonic (answering not by speaking, because he is mute): Shadow the Hedgehog. You do refer to the black hedgehog, do you not? If he intends to bring harm upon my master again, I will not hesitate in removing him. He has not received forgiveness for trying to kill my master during the war. Nine surely allows him to live because he is gracious, but if he so commanded me to I would rip the hedgehog him limb from limb. It is my duty to do what my master commands, and I will be ready should the hedgehog try anything or should my master finally revoke his trust in him.
#sonic prime#sonic the hedgehog#crystalbondshipping#crystalbond#chanine#miles nine prower#nine sonic prime#nine the fox#chaos sonic#alpha grim sonic#i just be ramblin#If you're reading this ignore how they speak. I was intending to write this in meme format and not worry about the dialogue#and then I ended up worrying a bit about the dialogue but not too much#In case it isn't clear both of them actually dislike leaving Nine alone#They create an understanding with each other at some point#But even when Nine trusts someone they won't leave him unless commanded to do so#They're funny because Chaos Sonic has a vendetta against Sonic. Sure he's the new Sonic and wants to replace him‚ but after being revived h#*really* wants to replace him and also really dislikes him for how he thinks Sonic treated Nine (and because of Sonic’s place in Nine's#heart). Meanwhile‚ while Alpha Grim Sonic understands why Chaos Sonic would be hung up on how he treats Nine (and eventually understands#wanting to be held to a similar place as Sonic in Nine's heart)‚ he just doesn't get Chaos Sonic's vendetta and obsession#However‚ Alpha Grim Sonic's fist is magnetized to Shadow's face. He is on high alert when Shadow is around Nine‚ and although he is not#supposed to have a personality or feelings‚ he is compelled to fight Shadow and tear him apart. He still harbors a grudge over Shadow's#trying to kill/stop Nine. Meanwhile‚ while Chaos Sonic can understand disliking Shadow for how he treated Nine‚ he doesn't really get the#obsession either. He thinks Shadow could be fun to play and toy with😂 And those are like the only two that these two have incredibly strong#feelings towards when it comes to the people Nine associates with#au musings#crystalshattershipping and chilitonic if you squint tbh
