From the moment he first laid eyes on him, Ryusui was infatuated with Shishio Tsukasa. He had always been aware of him. There were few who didn’t know of the so-called Strongest Primate High Schooler—later dubbed Japan’s Strongest Primate—as he became known as one of the most skilled martial artists worldwide. But while Ryusui had heard his name before, he had never truly watched him. So when he found himself absorbed in one of his fights flashing across a TV screen, he could only wonder why it had taken so long.

The first trial of their friendship comes when Ryusui invites Tsukasa over to his place to “hang out”. It’s hardly a surprise when he learns his condo is a penthouse in the middle of downtown Tokyo—no doubt worth millions upon millions of yen. It probably isn’t even the only residence in Ryusui’s name. With someone who desires as much as him, he can’t see why he would stop at one place to live. He tries to suppress his disgruntlement as he is directed to the private elevator upstairs. He’s the one who agreed to give this a chance, so he has no right to complain now, even if seeing such an excessive display of wealth will surely be a bit sickening.

He’d left the party without a word after stumbling out of the closet, catching a taxi home and downing a glass of water before bile crept its way up his throat. All of it combined has done well at clearing the haze of his mind, though when hit with clarity, regret from his actions only weighs him down further. He groans, shifting his body and directing his stare up at the ceiling, like he could find answers written there. He still burns from where Ryusui had touched him, the sparks sent across his body unlike anything he’d experienced before. His lips tingle from those heated kisses and he has no doubt when he takes off his shirt, he’ll find hickeys adorning his neck where Ryusui’s mouth had dragged so tantalizingly across his skin. How could he have let something like this happen? The second he’d let go, he’d… fallen into it somehow, like he’d had no control. He wishes he could blame his bad decisions on the alcohol, yet he knows when he pictures Ryusui’s bright smile and butterflies dance in his stomach, that to do so wouldn’t be entirely truthful.
