🌑​Whilst Madara could easily put a stop to those futile and silly antics of yours, he decides to entertain them instead. Much to the dismay of the elder of his clan who can only view your impudent behavior with discomposure as the spouse of Madara Uchiha should know to behave better. If other clans would find out how little respect you show your own husband, they would surely laugh at the lack of discipline Madara gives you yet he is aware that only a very brave or stupid soul would dare to say such words within his earshot. When the eldest of the Uchiha clan confront him about his lax behavior and question him desperately why he encourages those outrageous shenanigans of yours, he reveals laconically that you'll never be able to run away, no matter how hard you may try. He could easily crush your silly attempts to escape him but that would be so awfully boring. Isn't it much more entertaining to let you run around to entertain your little hope of freedom only to stop you within the last second. His confidence to never prevent your attempts is ultimately just a flex of the power he holds. He assures the elder though that if you were to ever step out of line, he will see it through to correct your attitude.

Tobirama Senju

🌊​Tobirama finds himself quickly reaching the end of his patience due to your troublesome defiance. Yes, he understands your frustration and he knows that the abduction isn't something pleasant yet he expected more from you. How long do you intend to keep this childish attitude up? Your behavior is unfitting for someone he plans to marry. The frustration grows whenever he receives a new report from the Anbu that they had to stop you from escaping once again, visibly dragging his mood down for the rest of the day. If you refuse to behave, he will treat you accordingly as more and more restrictions are placed on you until you are forbidden to leave the building he keeps you in. You ridicule and embarrass him with your exhausting antics to the point where he doesn't want to introduce you to his own clan. You don't listen nor do you want to settle for any compromises. One day he eventually just snaps when he receives another report of the Anbu with the most reckless attempt you have ever done to escape. As soon as he returns to the Senju compound, he berates you harshly. Yet it isn't until he threatens you that your family will bear the consequences that you truly listen in horror to him.

Pain

🌧️​Pain is unforgiving against anyone who stands in the way of his goal, merciless against anyone who goes against him. Nagato's clear paranoia to lose you results in Pain desiring control and obedience from your side yet your stubborn behavior clashes with those demands on multiple levels. If you would have been anyone else, you would be dead. Whether that is something to feel relieved about or not is up to debate though. Even Konan who expresses more kindness and empathy for you can't save you at one point as you never give up in your attempts to flee from the tower you are held as a captive. She still tries to somehow convince Nagato to go easy on you yet a threat just snaps as you do it again and again. He has been going too easy on you. Otherwise you wouldn't attempt an escape as easily as you do. He will teach you what happens from now on so that you will consider the idea the next time much more carefully. From broken bones to psychological torture to eradicating the people you hold dear to your heart, there are many ways for Pain to force you into obedience. Whether you see him as a monster or not for what he is about to do, just remember that you are responsible for it.

Kakashi Hatake

📖​Kakashi has neither the time nor the patience to deal with your reckless and unwanted stubbornness. You seem to enjoy giving him a constant headache, don't you? He didn't know that you wanted to have him play pretend with you by acting like an immature kid. If you insist on acting like a brat though, he will do you the favor and treat you like one. Whether he locks you up or has to use chains or ropes to constrict you, your fierce determination to remain a troublemaker remains. Kakashi is far too possessive and protective to let you ever leave him though and his ninken are constantly summoned to detect your smell and track you down. If he wouldn't be so busy as a Jonin and later on as a Hokage, perhaps Kakashi would show a tad bit more patience but time is a luxury he cannot always afford. He has to find more effective ways to force you in line, even if he knows that this will only alienate you further away from him. He gives you one last warning though before his patience completely crumbles, his Sharingan staring through your soul as he reminds you that there will be consequences if he catches you again. Would you prefer a broken leg or the vision of a genjutsu?

Obito Uchiha

🔥​As much as Obito's delusional infatuation wants to reject the reality, a part of him is unable to deny that it is your fear of him that has led you to attempt to flee multiple times already only to be swiftly stopped by him. It breaks him mentally and spiritually to witness those fearful eyes looking at him yet he knows that it isn't your fault. It is the world and the people inhabiting it that have brainwashed you to believe that he is the bad guy you have to fear so even throughout his shattered insanity, he remains sickly sweet to you whenever he catches you and brings you back. The sweet kisses of comfort only make your chest tighter with growing panic though. Black Zetsu suggests that he should punish you for he is making a fool out of himself by being so lenient to you yet Obito warns him coldly to never mention such an outrageous idea again in his presence. He could never hurt you after all. Although perhaps it wouldn't be a bad idea to show you what might happen to you if you would run away from him. The genjutsu he puts you through from that day on tear your mind apart yet this is reality he is showing you so you can see the world and the people for what they truly are. Do you understand it now?

Shisui Uchiha

🍂​Even if Shisui is the one who is quite tolerant and lenient under normal circumstances, his attitude changes after you have seen behind his facade. He has to be more careful with you from now on and your defiant behavior only makes the situation worse. He is regarded as a natural talent, works for the Anbu and has to serve the vilage. This means that it could take weeks for him to finish a mission and he knows that you would never sit back and wait for him. You would use that chance to escape as far away as you can. It is already a bit of a challenge to keep the current situation a secret from other people whenever he has to catch you quietly in yet another failed attempt of yours to run away and he can't even remember how often he had to have a stern conversation with you, the normally light air around him gone and replaced by silent tension. Eventually he finds himself considering to use Kotoamatsukami on you, his Mangekyo Sharingan ability. Shisui is fully aware that he would manipulate your mind by using it. On the other hand you would never know that and it's not like he would actively influence your feelings for him. It would merely be a little push to make everything less difficult.

Itachi Uchiha

🍡​For Itachi the situation is quite difficult to handle because he knows what would happen to you if you were to be caught by someone. The connection you have with him would never allow you to live normally again as there would always be someone who would come for you to lure him out. It is solely his fault and he harbors guilt for it and will most likely do so for the rest of his life. Yet you are still here, abducted by him because his desire was stronger than his guilt. He as taken a lot of time to explain everything to you in hope that you would understand yet your stubbornness also seems to be stronger than everything else. Itachi finds himself silently giving way to despair because he knows that the next mission of the Akatsuki is only a question of time and most disheartening of all is that you know it too. You're just waiting for him to leave so that you can escape for good. Even if he knows that he has no right for your love, a part of him still feels hurt by the fact that you wish for his absence as much as you do. He can't let you run away though. It is too dangerous and he is far too selfish. Don't think that you will have a chance just because he will leave for a mission.

Sasuke Uchiha

💙​Sasuke has little to no tolerance for the defiance you put up as you do literally everything to escape from him. He is fully aware of his unbearable behavior and possessive attitude that smothers to the point where you feel like you can't breathe but he doesn't care. He just wants you. His attitude is condescending and his words are hurtful and sharp whenever he yanks you back harshly as he has stopped you from yet another unsuccessful escape attempt, his grip tightening with each plea and whimper of yours to let go. You really want him to hurt you with the way you get on his nerves, don't you? You could have just said so to begin with instead of failing so miserably in your poor attempts to outsmart him. Sasuke will put you very quickly back into your place and he does so by using violence and fear as nothing else seems to work with you. He doesn't feel guilty about it either when he spills your own blood and scars your skin and breaks your leg so that you won#t be capable of running away from him to begin with. Stop your crying, he'll be responsible enough to take care of you afterwards. He does hope that you have learned your lesson though.

Dan Heng with a reader who has been in a private relationship with him and getting more and more jealous as others talk about how cute he is, and them going to ask him out. Ofc he says no but it grating at them over time until they have an argument where Dan calls the reader overly protective and saying something he really didn't mean. Basically the reader stops meeting up with him at the usual date spots because they've had enough of worrying about others asking Dan out.

Gender neutral reader, I made it so the reader is one of the mechanics for the ship when they need repairs. Angst obviously, tagged as such

"Mind if I watch?" You heard him ask, almost causing you to drop your tools before nodding, Dan Heng observing you quietly before giving you his number and heading off to a spot he later messaged you about.

Your idea of a romantic date with Dan Heng was you two sharing knowledge about your work. He told you all about his missions, and you told him about the unexpected chaos that came from being a mechanic. Over time, you both grew more confident with showing each other affection.

It was nice until your colleagues told you they were interested in him. Because of your agreement to keep the relationship to yourselves - to stop rumours - you nod along with their ramblings before seeing them rush off and admit their interest in Heng. Of course, your boyfriend let them down nicely while punctually by explaining he wasn't interested.

At first, you felt happy with the agreement. It made sense at the time, keeping things private, but that was until you saw people you deemed more attractive than yourself asking him out.

Try as you may, he insisted in not making anything public. When you try to explain that you were really uncomfortable with people asking him out, putting emphasis on the amount of people, you expected at least something nicer than a cold no.

"If you are uncomfortable with the idea of people being interested in me, the relationship wouldn't work publicly." Dan Heng states. "Not everyone will be put off by someone in a relationship."

"When you get approached by so many people, I can't help but feel jealous." You huff, keeping your voice down.

"If that is the case, you may want to reconsider this relationship." Dan Heng states.

You don't reply, simply sitting and basking in the final day you would show up to the date place. You can actually feel yourself dying inside at what he said. He was the one that wanted private relationship, but maybe the reason he wanted this was because you weren't attractive enough for him to be public with it.

You had blocked him the next morning, after he left with the ship, and you do your best to keep him blocked. Knowing you couldn't just let go of the feelings you had, and Heng didn't seem to understand why it was so frustrating to see his partner being asked out numerous times, you knew it was for the best. Whenever he was around, you would magic up an excuse to work on a piece of equipment in an entirely different area.

Your mind wanders often to him, thinking of the idea of him already having someone he's public with. At the very least getting with someone he was attracted to, someone that wasn't you. It let you get better with your work in an effort to distract yourself from him, but doing any other activity led your mind down to him. As embarrassing as it was, you started to neglect your needs to the point the medical team had to pay attention to you and treating you accordingly.

Was he affected by you? Probably not, he was logical enough to keep himself going. You knew that he would figure out a way to contact you, even if it meant getting to you in person, if he was looking for you. He never did, and after the first few weeks you told yourself it was over.

Unlike Dan Heng, however, you were unable to move on.

OK! WE'RE DOING THIS!

Everyone shut up and sit down. I'm talking about TMA. I am listening through for the first time, I'm through S1 and halfway through S2, and I already have many Thoughts. Today, we will be focusing on my evil ship thoughts, because I missed my chance when this was coming out so now I will subject you all.

I know Jon and Martin get together at some point, and yknow, that's all fine and good.

BUT I WANNA TALK ABOUT JON AND TIM, OK?

There is so much potential for something there, and they would be so incredibly messy after the S1 finale.

[I've lightly scrolled through the jontim tag, and I truly don't think there's enough of you talking about how tragic they are. Platonic or romantic, they're so so sad.]

They both worked in the research department before Jon was made Head Archivist, and even though they definitely weren't close, they were definitely friendly. My Firm Belief is that Jon was the only one who took Tim seriously despite his more lax attitude, he saw his strong work ethic and his dedication and treated him accordingly. And Tim was the only one who listened to Jon, the only one who thought he had anything to add and took his suggestions.

I believe they were hired around the same time, and once they met there was a silent understanding that they were there for eachother. It was nice to just have someone in their corner in this new environment.

When Jon got promoted to Head Archivist, he was adamant about Tim being on his team, because he knew Tim would help get the results needed. [I have a whole, how everyone got assigned to the team timeline thought out but that's not why we're here]

Tim is the only member of his team who Jon doesn't think would have written Antonio Blake's statement as a joke to scare him. Which means he trusts him the most out of all of them. Which wouldn't be as important if he showed distaste for them equally, but he regards both Tim and Sasha highly, and only really seems to have an issue with Martin at this point. So why would he trust Tim to not have written it but not Sasha? Unless he's known him the longest and has reason to put that faith in him.

AND THEIR CONVERSATION AT THE BEGINNING OF MAG 33?? You're gonna listen to that, the first time we as the audience meet Tim, and tell me you don't hear how much these two care for eachother? Even when Jon starts getting upset/loud, he calms quickly for Tim, and doesn't let himself fully yell at him. He also leaves it up to Tim to fix the mistakes, an example of him trusting Tim's judgement and work. And Tim is so calm with him! The man keeps getting worked up and starting to get loud, but Tim stays calm and let's him self correct and say what he needs to before proceeding himself. He knows Jon is stressed and has a lot on his plate. He knows these mistakes needed to be discussed with him and corrected somehow, but he's still not going to force Jon to re-record the statements if he really doesn't want to, he's willing to find another solution. And then he leaves to go work on it so Jon can get back to recording the statement.

And Tim telling Jon he doesn't understand the filing system and Jon explaining it calmly to him, admitting he doesn't really get it either but that's how it is.

You also have to see my vision for how the S1 finale effects them. A traumatic experience where they were both scarred mentally and physically in the same ways. Something that should have brought them even closer, maybe finally made them feel comfortable being proper friends outside of work. But they both react to it SO differently. And that is the beginning of their downfall. That is the beginning of the end.

Because Jon spirals. He stops trusting everyone. He pushes them all away and starts crossing boundaries. HE SPIES ON TIMS HOUSE. And he can't even calm down long enough to see why this bothers his coworkers. Why this hurts Tim.

The beginning of S2 from Tim's perspective is awful. Your first friend in this workplace is overworking himself, throwing himself back into work the second he's cleared physically well enough to go back. But he clearly hasn't moved past it, and you can't blame him for that. Everyone copes differently, but then he turns on you. He stops trusting you, starts pushing you away, starts spying on you. Can you imagine how much that hurts? To have the first person in this terrifying new job who ever put their trust in you, who ever believed in you, to turn on you just when you need them the most.

THEY ARE SO FUCKING MESSY. GOD.

Anyway. I very well may be back with more JonTim thoughts as I continue to listen. But this is what I have for you today.

Ghost fandom I feel like we need to have a talk.

Please don't misunderstand me because I always stand by people being able to ship whatever they like but I genuinely can not fathom why a certain ship has become so pervasive that it seems like a character can not be mentioned without it.

I check the Terzo tag almost every day because I like to see what's new with my favourite guy. I like to reblog new art, fics and headcanons because it feels like there has been less and less as time goes on and I want to support every one that loves him too.

But can someone please explain to me why Omega needs to be mentioned in the majority of the posts about Terzo. Not ship posts but just random posts about Terzo. I am not going to be specific but a Papa headcanon post I saw recently talked about each of the Papa's individually with no mention of any other ships and yet the Terzo section was almost half about Omega. And so many other posts recently that could easily be just about Terzo have Omega shoehorned in there.

Why?? Why can't he exist without being tied to one ship? Why does everyone feel like they should tag Terzo posts as 'Omega's Husband' when there isn't a ghoul in sight?? Why did I see someone apologising for looking lustfully at omega's man?

I have never seen this with any other Papa even though there are so many papaxghoul combination ships. I feel like this is kind of tarnishing people's view of him as a deep and interesting character in his own right and it is such a recent phenomenon that I am so confused and annoyed by. Not the ship, I understand that has been around forever. But even two years ago when I joined the fandom Terzo was allowed to be his own character but for some reason over time it's become this fandom default and honestly I think it is killing the Terzo side of the fandom.

Ship your ship (and tag accordingly) but I really don't understand why it has to spill out everywhere in every single Terzo post and headcanon even when it is not ship related at all?

Just because Im lowkey pissed that people don't understand the archive warnings on AO3 and get mad at the author because of their own lack of understanding:-

Still tread with caution, especially if there are no other tags, as in 0. No relationship tags, no character tags, nothing, nada. It means the author might be really new or just was too lazy to use any tags or warnings. Know the risk or play it safe and don't read.

Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings

This means the fic might have none, some or all of the listed warnings. This is the warning. You might end up reading triggering material, or reading a fluffy sweet fic. It's a toss up, so if you aren't willing to take the risk, DO NOT READ.

If you've filtered out any of the other archive warnings and see this one, make sure you are ready to encounter something that might be triggering, that you've filtered or just avoid it. Even if the other tags don't indicate it, be wary and stay cautious, remember that this is still a warning.

Additional words for newbies for ao3

AO3 is an archive site first, fanfiction hub second. It isn't for readers, it's for authors to archive their work and be able to label their work accordingly (or just not label it).

As a reader you should be respectful towards the authors and their work. You have no right to demand for a new chapter of a work you may like, you have no right to insult the author because of your own lack of knowledge or ignorance. Be grateful you're even getting any work from these people. Again, these people. These authors are real people like you and me, writing you fanfiction to read at no additional cost.

If you plan on posting on AO3, you should tag it, just so people can filter it, it's nice to be nice. I don't write on AO3 so I don't know what else to say on this part.

Grocery spree

Summary: short description of boys' behaviour when they are tasked with buying groceries at the local supermarket;

Characters: all students of NRC;

Warnings: no Yuu/reader, no relationships, just ordinary shenanigans;

Side notes: it came to me in a dream (while I was tring to fall asleep extremely late at night but still). I only now realised that I'll need to put 22 names in the tags...

Riddle

— he goes extremely in depth about each item on the shopping list: what brand, price, quantity, quality, size, packaging etc you name it. The answer in likes of "just buy whatever" is not satisfactory!! When Riddle can't find exactly what he was "supposed" to buy, he immediately jumps from one shop to another until he finds what he needs. It's best if he is accompanied by someone...

Trey

— wonderful candidate: no issues, no problems at all. Except don't expect to see cakes, cupcakes, pastries, bread, desserts and such. Why? Well, he can bake everything himself of course. That's why Trey returns with tons of eggs, sugar and flour every time instead. Maybe a few dental care products (just in case) along the way;

Cater

— usually gets everything, even saves up quite a bit of money! Since he is always on Magicam, coupons and discounts are his guiding lights — Cater already has his hands on discount goodies before they are swept away by others. The only problem is that ginger doesn't like carrying shopping bags, so he often searches for whoever is available to shop with him. Buys trendy food of the week for pics;

Ace

— nah, he hates going for groceries, especially if he is alone and he has to give the remaining money back. It's best not to assign him with a chore because Ace will most certainly not only forget half the stuff from the list but the whole list itself. And he will (try to) secretly buy snacks for himself, so ask for receipt and recount change if you want your money to be spend accordingly;

Deuce

— he may not always come back with everything that was on the list but at least he is reliable. Each time he goes to supermarket, Deuce is staggered with how prices have risen, even if not by a lot. He is well versed in grocery shopping thanks to frequently aiding his mom. Checks every egg in the carton box when purchases eggs;

Leona

— do you really expect him of all people to go to supermarket for groceries? Exactly. If by any miracle Leona is going, he hates every second of it. Throws ungodly amount of meat in the cart, very expensive one too. It may look like the beastman doesn't even bat an eye at the price tags, however he does read, it's just he has enough to spend. Hates standing in the queue at the checkout with burning passion, falls asleep mid through;

Ruggie

— the guy just doesn't understand the appeal of supermarkets, you can't even haggle there... At any rate, don't give Ruggie huge budget unless you want to see long boa in place of receipt. If he has no room for grand purchases, he always makes sure to cut himself enough money for a treat from what he was given. Unapologetically eats a lot at food sample stands, even takes some with him if he is able to;

Jack

— safe choice for the most part, not if there is a huge sale or something because then he may unwillingly run into someone rude who will most likely throw him out of loop. Jack is adamant on holding the basket or cart, honestly he likes his role far more than buying things. When he sees anything with pears in it he immediately thinks of his family back home;

Azul

— he would rather "request" aid from someone else but if Azul is to go, he will make sure to make it as useful as possible. He will closely observe different tricks and tactics that the staff uses to sell more goods, for educational purposes naturally. Merman's least favourite aisles with snacks. Seriously, why do they put mountains of cola and chips on full display?? Each time he has to resist the temptations....

Jade

— neat and perfect, on the first glance. Jade's scouting for groceries can end up not as smoothly as it should be, which he doesn't mind per say. Ah, but it's already the fifth supermarket where he has been mistaken for his twin brother and forced to leave. He would rather not go in circles around for a chore, so Jade just verbally "convinces" stuff to relent and let him finally do the shopping;

Floyd

What else he needs rather than such great reassurance?

Vil

— he doesn't need to be told to go for groceries as he is buying them for himself anyways. Though Vil prefers to buy fresh vegetables and fruit elsewhere. The problem with going to supermarket is in keeping low profile, unless your face isn't plastered across popular drinkable yogurt brand? Said yogurt is quite tasty and plenty healthy, which is why he had taken up the gig. From bystanders' perspective, Vil looks like someone's mom or aunt with his whole cover get-up;

Rook

— this guy is delighted to go to somewhere like supermarket. Rook prefers to seek and hunt food for himself, but he can't deny this certain allure of the place. He also enjoys watching people's thought process right before his eyes: like how one can easily replace spaghetti with discount cheap liquor in an abundant quantity! This fascinating phenomena does hold him off a bit from his task, but how can he be blamed?

Epel

— not too enthusiastic about going for groceries until it strikes him that he can show off how reliable and strong he is. Okay then, count him in! Shakes his head in disapproval while browsing the fruit section. The choice of food overall is big but not on par with the one in his village in terms quality. It kind of sours his mood... not until his eyes fall onto the cool products that he has never seen before back home;

Idia

— no. Literally, the delivery drones work all the time, same with 24/7 convenience stores. Besides, why would you pick someone with such a low strength stats, are you out of your mind- And here Idia was, in a huge scary supermarket full of people. The fright was so intense that he only bought what was nearest to him and didn't bother looking for other stuff. Almost left fire marks on the floor with how fast he bolted through the self check-out desk;

Ortho

— it's true that technology has advanced enough that it's much less energy consuming to order things online, however going somewhere is just fun! Ortho is really up to it, he can analyze the content of food directly instead of only what's written in the package to better understand nutrition value and he can unwind in general. The boy generally is very helpful too!

Malleus

— never ever has been to supermarket before, so that's definitely a new experience for him. From others' point of view it looked like Malleus has come to an art museum instead: he even stood still for a few minutes listening to music from the speakers. The fae is amazed by the choice of foods that is available, even seeing products he had never encountered back at Briar Valley. He does find queues bothersome, but it's something he could overlook, this time;

Lilia

— like a fish in the sea. Lilia can wander around the store for hours, coming up with all sorts of recipes he could cook! Constantly adds things not on the list and takes away those he deems "unnecessary". If you take a look into his cart, you will never guess what he was going to cook with all those ingredients, none of which can even work together. Buys candy for his children, club members and friends too;

Silver

— are you sure you want him to go? Yes, Silver can indeed complete such simple deed, and yet him falling asleep at any random moment will surely hinder the whole process. If he is still going, the knight then also buys some nuts, vegetables and fruits for his animal friends. Something for lord Malleus, father and Sebek as well, yet often forgets to buy something for himself;

Sebek

— he is so up to it he may forget to take the list with himself, provided the chore was assigned by Malleus or Lilia, or at least anyone Sebek respects for that matter. Believe me, he is not above making a scene if someone takes the last goodie that was on the list, which he deems extremely important, only to cool down when the store worker rolls out the cart full of the thing in question. I honestly think, theres two kinds of scenarios that can definitely play out and it all depends on if Ingo gets amnesia or not (if we go with the no pokemon theory, therefore Uxie does not exist, BUT there are other ways to get amnesia so we vibing) because there are plenty of scenarios that make sense for random persok to have serious amnesia. If Ingo just, Wakes Up somewhere he definitely would be logical about it and start off with "I must have been injured whilst trying to survive" rather than "I'm from a different fuckikf universe help me"

My first thought is, if he does get amnesia from idk hitting his head or just Arceus being a cunt, then I think he is a very practical man and would adjust accordingly. He would be stressed as fuck, yeah sure. He would be VERY unhappy about having to be more aggressive in his stance on how he approaches situations (and not understand why he feels like there should be somebody else at his side handling more aggressive/threatening scenarios) but, much like in Hisui, he can definitely go from being funny train man so scarily ripped old man who can and Will deal with shit as needed.

I think guns would absolutely be a learning curve, though. He is used to the loudness because of trains, and I personally headcannon Ingo as hard of hearing and that's why he yells so much (which he would also have to learn to control to not alert the zombies in his immediate area) but I still think he is autistic enough to probably not appreciate how loud guns are. I think he would Deal With It but be moderately grumpy about it, I also think he sould probably be a great shot because of how calculating he can be, rather than if Emmet was in the situation where he would just shoot first and think second.

If we were in a situation where Ingo did have his memory though, I genuinely think that woukd be worse in a way?

The entire time he would be trying so hard to get back to Emmet, it would be literally his only goal, right next to not dying. He would probably speak about Emmet a lot, and also regularly use him as his motivation. God forbid he got injured, his only words would be "I can't die here, I need to get back to him, he must be so worried". He would absolutely also likely put his own health above others slightly more than if he had amnesia, because when he cannot clearly remember Emmet he falls back into his protective older brother stance of making sure everyone else is okay first. ESPECIALLY if they are kids, like in Arceus with the player character.

I also think if he ever got returned to Emmet, he would be much more of a changed man than when/if he returns from normal Hisui. Like deeply traumatized type beat. Amnesia or not, returning to a safe place after being in a horrible location that you literally have to kill to survive would do numbers on his mental health. I think he likely would end up very jumpy, with some form of PTSD, maybe even from the guns and would have issues with loud sudden banging noises. I think he would likely require Emmet to straight up be like a service animal (servive sibling? lmao) to keep him company in public so he wouldn't start tweaking. Crowds would probably stress him out, and he'd also probably be much more touch repulsed than before hand, where I imagine Ingo to be neutral to touch while Emmet is deeply touch adverse (minus Ingos touch, obviously)

how to use beta + trim reblogs

so! we all know about beta editor by now. for better or for worse, a lot of us are using tumblr's new beta editor, and it's likely that everyone will have no choice but to use it soon. this unfortunately means a lot of us can't use the new xkit to trim our roleplay posts. there have been a lot of posts explaining this and the benefits of xkit rewritten; this one, this one, and this one especially helped me understand what's going on. however, a lot of people still seem to be floundering around in the dark so i wanted to make a tutorial that sums up everything i've learned from other tutorials as well as my own trial and error.

if you want a step by step guide to trimming reblogs (with screenshots) as well as a brief overview of beta editor's pros and cons, keep reading.

the first step, obviously, is to switch to beta editor and install xkit rewritten. the posts linked above explain how and why so i won't go into detail here. trim reblogs is the new version of edit reblogs, and it looks like this. one of the best features is that you can use it even after posting your reply, so if something glitches or you forget to trim, you still have a chance to fix it.

once you have them, there are two different ways i've seen people use xkit rewritten to trim their posts.

1. seperate reblogs

this is, in my opinion, the best and easiest way to go about this. mun 1 makes a post, mun 2 reblogs it, and then mun 1 uses xkit rewritten to trim their original post from the thread.

however, this only works if the original post was made in beta. if you try to trim a post that was made in legacy, you get get a warning, and if you go ahead with it, it's going to glitch somehow. in my testing, my reply duplicated! which is very annoying. and despite what the warning says, repeating the trim usually does not last—even if it seems like it does at first.

2. (probably) copy and paste

this is more visually reminsicent of editable reblogs from new xkit. there might be an easier way to do this that i don't know about—if so, please let me know. the name kind of explains it all; a mun will copy and paste their partner's reply, indent it, and write their own below. then, obviously, they'll have to trim all the past reblogs of the post. this is especially good for people who like doing pretty headers or editing their partner's url to look pretty, you know what i'm talking about.

there is a glitch i have run into on my own blog a few times that i was unable to duplicate, so i've just taken a screenshot of my own blog with most of the information blanked out. if only one person if using beta, trim reblogs will still sometimes glitch and duplicate. i trimmed my reblog multiple times but every time i reloaded, my duplicated reply was back. please, please communicate with your partners. i know it's annoying and awkward but it will save everyone so much frustration. especially if you're clinging to legacy, please let your partners know so they can adjust accordingly—or consider switching to beta, even if just for that thread.

but beta is not all bad i promise

i know how frustrating this all is (i fully refused to do drafts for a few days once beta really started kicking in and new xkit stopped working for me), but i am slowly coming around to it.

tags are editable now! i cannot explain the joy i experienced when i first realized this. no more typing up a long, rambling tag only to notice a typo as soon as you've hit return. you can edit tags at any point—even when going back and editing an old post! does this mean that i have accidentally started editing a tag when i meant to move it? yes but it's worth it.

making the text small is so much easier now. no more going into html or command+option+shift! instead, it's available as an option right in between the italic and link buttons when you highlight text.

you can now edit the size and type of text very easily! this did confuse me at first when i couldn't find the indent button, but it's now in a toggle list; if you click on the regular tab when text is highlighted, there are a ton of options including indent, chat, lucille (whatever that means), bigger/biggest, and more.

however, it's not all great. but it's tumblr, what did we expect.

the most frustrating thing for me personally is that you can no longer copy and past an image link into your reply, or else the image url will be tagged on underneath it. it looks funky and isn't great if you don't want to download a million gifs. while i've just been downloading/dragging the gifs i want to use to desktop and uploading them to my reply, it's annoying to have to clean up my desktop and empty my computer's trash so i'm not wasting storage space. additionally, this does not work if the gifset is in a post rather than a page; the only option there is to copy and paste and simply put up with the image url. clicking "add image" and then pasting the image or dragging the gif from the page/post's tab into the tumblr tab and onto your reply still results in a url. if anyone has figured out a workaround for any of this please let me know; otherwise, i think we should all just agree to ignore the url if it shows up. update: thank you sm to anon for informing me of @rpclefairy's roleplay formatter! if you put the gif in their formatter, copy the source, and paste that into the post when it's in html mode, not rich text mode, the link is gone! and thanks to tumblr realizing this was annoying, if you click the little link icon that appears when you hover over an image, delete the url, and hit done so it saves, the url will be gone!

formatting is......weird now. if you make your paragraph text small and then decide to add another sentence, the new text won't be small. you'll have to edit it again. text that has been formatted (small, italic, bold, etc) will be highlighted in a very strange way when the cursor is in the formatted section. as far as i've been able to figure out, even after poking around a bit in the html, there's no way to change any of this. not to sound like a broken record here, but if you've found a way to change any of this, please let me know. otherwise i think we just have to put up with this bullshit.

there's always a chance that these things will be fixed; it is still just a beta system after all. for now, i think the best thing the community can do is communicate with partners, ask questions, and just accept that there's gonna be some weird shit going on and we're all doing our best.

if any of this changes i will update this post, but in the meantime, pls share if this helped or you want to share the word. and for the last time, if i've gotten anything wrong, just let me know and i'll update.

I just can't understand why only 0.0000001% of women can acknowledge the nature of men and act accordingly (AVOID THEM). There are hundreds of documented cases (and probably millions throughout history) of men gang-r/ping women to death. Missing bow (left photo), but still has the tie (like right photo) this dress is so lightweight and perfect for summer, I just don't like how the sleeves fit on my arms. No noticeable damage. I washed it but i havent worn it out!

Btssb Tartan Check Jacket in green (2005) - $180

No damage, only tried on by me. Another wonderful piece but too tight in the arms for me. It's soft, but polyester. I'm honestly so sad about letting this piece go I adore it, but I need to stop holding onto things I won't wear!

Btssb Ribbon Sherbet Skirt in pink (2010) - $40

Really adorable skirt, it's shorter and perfect for casual wear. You can't tell in the stock photos, but the fabric is woven with glitter! Again, washed but I haven't worn it besides trying on.

Aatp Sylvester vest (2011 or 2013) - $80

I think its the women's size, as there is so spider tag. I had forgotten and then realized upon inspecting while writing this that one of the back panel buttons had come off and I must have stored it somewhere to keep safe. I'll look for it (I know I have it somewhere lol) on the offchance I can't find it though I will discount accordingly. Worn by me and washed, there is no other noticeable damage.

Aatp Justin pants in red (2018) - $100

Only tried on by me- I'm going to keep it real with you I'm just too bottom heavy. The waist is full of room but the leg measurement (in average clothing sizing proportion) is really small. I don't understand why they would add so much extra room in the waist and not make the thighs adjustable at all. The sizing doesn't match up with the lolibrary entry, the waist can stretch up to 90cm, and is about 76cm not stretched... the inside measurement of the leg cuff is maybe 46 cm (the fabric is thick so measures 50 on the outside if that makes sense) when wearing this, the top of the waistband was floating around but made a sharp ^ down the back, these shorts will not be flattering if you have wider hips. All of that said they are really beautiful, I adore the fabric, but the lolibrary entry is very misleading!

We basically created opportunities for everyone, that's all. And we didn't ask for anything in return. Even after the very same fandom demonized and hated us. But it's so much work, with nothing in return. The occasional "thank you" if we're lucky, but that's it. If only more people would at least engage in those opportunities to create and share, that would be enough, but even those rates have been going down. A commenter has said that the nest is likely modified by the youtuber. Videos I have ran into of this nature will often frame cuckoos as villians. I can understand their nature can make them hard to watch- they can and often endanger their nestmates and seem to act selfishly in that sense but they are still animals trying to survive. Sure, the biological parent seems like a bad parent for leaving their eggs in another bird's nest but that isn't exactly the worst type of animal parent I've heard of (there are likely far, far worse fates a baby animal could live through). And with any niche, there is an importance to their role. Could you please give your thoughts on these kinds of videos and cuckoos/parasitic birds?

@localcustard First, I don't recognize the species off the top of my head, so I can't say whether it's a species of cuckoo without doing a little more digging than I have time for right this minute (if someone recognizes it feel free to drop the species in the replies/tags/reblogs.) And bad on the videographer for moving baby birds around just to get clicks--not only is it stressful for all the birds involved, but doing so can spread diseases, causes greater chick mortality, etc., never mind spreading misinformation. This is the exact opposite of responsible nature documentation.

Brood parasitism is just another survival technique that has been evolved by cuckoos and other species (including some fish and insects!) over the millennia. It's effective enough to allow the parasites to successfully reproduce season after season, especially with the additional insurance of not having all their eggs in one basket--err, nest. Too many problems have arisen because we humans decided to apply our values to other beings, and then treat them accordingly. I think we need to drop "good vs bad" when it comes to nature, and replace them with "balance vs imbalance", keeping in mind what constitutes balance for each ecosystem. That includes accepting that the interplay between the cuckoo and its host birds is, in fact, balanced in its native ecosystem. We need to learn to look at these behaviors and traits in the context of the native ecosystems they evolved in, and only step in and act in cases where invasive species are using their traits to throw an ecosystem out of balance.

Do I have to post for all 7 days? 

Participate as little or much as you like! Just be sure to tag your posts properly (e.g., #tbbaw2024 #warnings #theme (and/or prompts) #medium #more tags). There are no repercussions if you don’t fill prompts for each day.

Can I post early/late?

You could, but I wouldn’t recommend posting early. Since this is an Appreciation Week event, it'd be more fun with everyone doing it at the same time. That being said, I’ll start reblogging works on September 2nd (thinking on the folks living on the other side of the world from me. You know, time zones and all that), but nothing earlier than that.

As for posting late, yes, that's totally fine; I understand that real life gets in the way sometimes. The only thing I ask is that you tag the for the day you should've posted on, not the day you're actually doing it. Example, if you missed Day 2 and are posting it on the Day 4, your tags must include the theme for day 2, NOT Day 4.

So, when should I start posting?

According to your time zone, during the day at the most convenient time for you, starting on September 3rd until the 9th. If you're super eager and can't wait, post when the clock hits midnight every day. Or if you're late, 11:59pm still counts as on time! 🤣

Will you reblog my post?

Yes, I'll reblog everyone's posts during the week. If it passes more than 2-3 days and I haven't reblogged your post, please let me know. If you tag your post properly and mention this blog, it’s less likely that I'll miss it.

However, I'm thinking that I might queue posts if they're too many at a time to drop them in bulk. If I do that, look for a like from @intrepidmare (my main blog), if you have it, that means I saw it and put it on the queue and eventually will be reblogged.

What if I don’t understand how the themes and prompts work?

Send me an ask! I'm happy to clarify it for you. To put it in simple words, you have a theme that it's in and on itself a prompt, which you can (but not necessarily) combine with any of the prompts for that day. However, you can also ignore the theme and go for a specific prompt only. It's up to you. And remember, the prompts are entirely up for interpretation. Don’t take them too literally. Prompts are suggestions, not mandates. You can go by ✨ vibes ✨ alone.

What kind of content can I make? Can it be NSFW?

Yes, that’s why NSFW prompts are included among the others for each day. And if you use the other safer prompts and turn it into something NSFW, that's okay too. In any case, you should tag your work accordingly, so that others participating in the event can curate their experience and be safe. HERE is a non-comprehensive list of tags you should use if they apply to your work.

Can I combine TBBAW prompts with other creation challenges?

Absolutely! If you have a bingo card to fill or another event to complete, go for it. That’s like shooting two mynocks with one bolt, using one of Crosshair's reflective disks! 

Can I upload/repost my TBBAW content to other social media platforms?

Of course! You can post your own content wherever you like. Additionally, I’ve created an AO3 Collection to archive any work posted there. It can be accessed here. (It's closed right now, but I'll open it in due time)

If any of the prompts fits well for an existing fic/art I am currently working on, can I use it?

If you are actively working on this fic/art at the moment with the Appreciation Week prompts in mind, yes. In the case of using a work retroactively (meaning: already published and complete), then please, don’t. You can, however, add new chapters/pages/panels using one or more of the prompts.

If I’m not comfortable with this or that day’s prompts, can I use a prompt from a different day as a substitute and still count?

No, you can’t exchange prompts from different days (as in exchanging Day 3 prompts for Day 5 prompts). You can simply use the alt prompt (which can be used just once), or skip the original prompt, or come up with yours. Like I said, the prompts are only a suggestion.

Where can I post my work?

Post where and how you want. You don’t have to cross-post it to Tumblr. Just keep in mind, if it’s not on Tumblr, I won't be able to add it to the blog archive. You can post a just link to anywhere else you've posted if you don't want to put the entire work in your blog. 

Do I have to finish a fic I started? Can I post a work in progress?

Yes, you can post WIPs. And you’re not obligated to finish it. It'd make me happy that this event prompt you to create something longer. Let's appreciate the Bad Batch all year around!

Is co-creating allowed?

Yes, absolutely! Encouraged, even. Not just the usual writer-artist or co-writing collaborations, also any kind of medium combos: fic-podfic, fic-playlist, art-art, etc.

Do I have to create 7 standalone pieces, or can I make one continuous story?

Do whatever you want. One continuous story is fine. The challenge is to create something for 7 prompts. If that’s spread over 7 fics/art pieces/etc. or just one with 7 chapters/panels/parts, it's up to you.

Is there a min/max limit on word count?

None. If you want to write a 100-word drabble or a 50k fic or anything in between for each day, it's all up to you. You're the only one who knows how much time you can dedicate to it and how high/low your level of inspiration/energy is. You can even write a snippet for a fic you'll write later when you have the time/energy. Remember that this is lay-back-type of an event. Do as little or much as you want/can.

Can I combine prompts? Is there a limit on how many?

No limit, and you can combine as many prompts for a specific day as you like. If you want to use them all, do it.

If you want to use all the prompts individually, there's also the option to create several pieces for a single day. It depends on you, your time, and your motivation. This counts too if you do works in different mediums, e.g., write a fic and do art for it (or for a different prompt).

Can I start working on the prompts before September 3rd?

Of course! That’s the idea of posting the prompts so early. I know how difficult it can be to create something in “real time”, without mentioning real life complications, so feel free to start creating as soon as now!! You'll have 2 whole months to work on your pieces.

How do I tag triggers?

Just tag the word/phrase, e.g., blood; main character death. (DO NOT add "tw" either at the beginning or the end. That makes it harder for readers to block the right tags). Here it's the list of the most common warning tags you should use when appropriate.

Also, it would be prudent to add warnings in the body of the post, giving the readers another layer of protection before they do the actual reading.

Do I have to use your tags guidelines?

I'd appreciate it if you did. If you follow the guide I gave you in the tags post here, it'd make it easier for me to keep track of who posted on a determined day, and for anyone else to find and/or avoid the content of a specific tag.

Yes, please DO! I think it's the safest way for me not to miss your posts. I'll also be following the #tbbaw2024 tag, just for good measure.

Is there anything we are absolutely not allowed to write?

As I said before, anything goes, EXCEPT anything inciting or glorifying harassment, hatred, and discrimination of any kind against anything or anyone. THAT WON'T BE TOLERATED. For anything else, please make sure to properly tag your trigger warnings. And keep in mind Tumblr’s policies if you are posting it here (or the policies for whatever other site you use).

Can I cross post on other blogs?
