how does the Amy and Sonic dynamic work with your versions of the two characters?

Aroace Sonic pt 6 Platonic Sonic and Rose Romantic

1. Amy is still crushing on Sonic just like in most canon material. She knows it’s not recuperated but feelings are feelings and she still likes him quite a lot regardless. (She might have a little bit of a fantasy version of Sonic in her head kind of like crushing on a character rather than an irl person, but it’s only the slightest bit and her feelings are still genuine!) She definitely wants a romantic partner but she’s not one to force herself to change, she plans to let her feelings move naturally in whatever direction they end up going in.

2. Sonic loves his friends, Amy is no exception just because he knows she’s mad crushing on him. NORMALIZE FRIENDS CRUSHING ON FRIENDS WITHOUT IT BEING RECUPERATED AND THEY STILL HANG OUT AND LOVE EACH OTHER BECAUSE THAT’S OKAY! Sonic does not harbour any romantic feelings for Amy. He’s genuinely fine with her liking him and respects her feelings. He loves her in his own way anyways and doesn’t try to avoid doing things that might be seen as romantic just cause she likes him, she gets loved just the same as the rest of his friends thank you very much

3. Yellow Tulips depending where you look can mean happiness, cheerfulness, hope, and “You have sunshine in your smile.”

quick little rant thingy because DMC reddit just pissed me off

I hate how so many people in the DMC fandom fall for Dante's party guy shtick and genuinely believe him to be as dumb as a rock . For example an argument i see often for this is his inability pay off his debts/rant . People believe he's simply too dumb to manage any money when in reality it's stemmed from the fact that he has little to no consideration for his well being and puts others' needs before his,rather than his own lack of intelligence. Like Grue's daughters,whom he sends money to support them--or Enzo,his ex middleman. Even in the anime he goes on his way to save his client's brother,without getting proper payment.

Other than that,again in the anime he proves himself to be a worthy-occult detective and how great he can be at reading people. His office also has a decent amount of books lying around showing that yes,he does read and value knowledge

Not saying he's smartest out there,but he is in no way as stupid as people make him out to be.

That scene in episode 43, where Suvi has a bath and is like “Mm, my hair got wet, I gotta brush it out, or the shrinkage will kill me…”

Ok so… I usually do shampoo, conditioner + detangler brush, rinse, pat dry with an old t-shirt, LCO my damp hair, brush again, and then I just accept that it will shrink as it air dries because I don’t feel like twisting it to stretch it out, and I hate how it feels after it’s blow dried.

Today, I brushed after the leave-in, again after the curl smoothie, and again after massaging oil into my scalp, and my hair? dried?? with minimal shrinkage??? and kept its curl pattern????

people saying that they enjoyed Nimona until the kissing scene, that it "made it gay" and that it "pushed the agenda" as if the movie wasn't queer from the START.

five minutes in, ambrosius told ballister he loved him. an hour in, he said it again! nearly every interaction they had was so blatantly romantic, I truly don't understand the people who think that the final kissing scene "made it canon", because to me, it was obvious in their very first scene.

ballister saying that nimona is his friend, and ambrosius responding "aren't I more than that?" ballister insisting throughout the movie that ambrosius will listen to him and be on his side, saying "you shouldn't NEED proof, you know i'm not a murderer." not to mention the fact that it's been canon since the comic came out.

I can't take anyone who says that final scene "made it gay" serious, because they obviously didn't watch the rest of the movie. and I find that quite sad, because they're missing out on a fantastic storyline.

Do you think it's possible for Jade and Floyd to be in a relationship with someone long enough without getting "bored"?

Cuz I like reading Twst x reader fics, but with these two, it's hard to imagine taking a relationship serious enough (especially Floyd) I know I'm probably overthinking this but it's fun to think about.

I'm curious to know your opinion on this.

Yeah! I def think so, I mean they've stuck around Azul for quite a few years, and despite what any of them might say, they do care greatly for each other. I think deep down they do consider each other friends and not just accomplices, but admitting that requires them to be vulnerable, which is a no go for any of them lol.

I mean, consider at least Jade's dream in Book 7! His dream revolves around Floyd and Azul happily going along with his silly whims! Floyd's dream, where he does whatever whenever he wants, has him miserable! I think both of them do value their friendship with Azul quite a bit, it's just hard cause they 'perform' a certain way that makes people on the outside not see it that way.

Part of that though is due to Azul himself not being a 'boring' person to be around, his personality typically meshes well with theirs and vice versa. As such, I think the partner they'd seek out would be similar, someone who would mesh well with them and from the bat isn't 'boring'. Both of the twins are complicated characters in their own right as well, much more that the surface level 'bulter-esque' and 'chaos incarnate' personalities that is attributed to them often, both in-game and fandom wise.

And an additional point, they're still young! Even if you age them up from canon to be college-aged like I do for all of my works, 18-21 is still really young! You're still learning the world and your place in it and your personality goes through a lot of changes as you mature and meet more people. Of course a young man would be focused in on people who don't 'bore' him, he's just going through life! There will be a natural development as the two grow older and met more people, they won't be so focused on being entertained, but rather seek something more lasting in a partner.

And lastly, the nice thing about fanfics is that we can imagine whatever we want! Hehehe, it's nice to just write or read characters in scenarios that we might not typically find them in, so just have fun when reading stuff. I have my own opinions obvi, which reflects in my writing, but just have fun with reading stuff even if it seems a bit out of character!
