Viktor x Reader Headcanons
Pronouns for reader: Gender neutral, AFAB undertones if you squint
Relationship type: Platonic to Romantic
General Idea: Some silly little headcanons I have for Viktor because he's still my silly little princess. Even after the whole glorious evolution thing.
Content Warnings: S1 Viktor, no S2 spoilers, But there as little bit of s2 viktor's mindset, I'm projecting a little bit (a lot) but it's fine.
~☆~
I honestly see Viktor as asexual with light aromantic undertones (kinda like demiromantic, I guess??). He rarely ever developes romantic feelings. Like its a once in a blue moon thing.
Like... he has to know you for YEARS before something in his head is like "Oh... hey they kinda cute?"
However, when he DOES develop feelings that go beyond friendship, Viktor HEAVILY struggles with coming to terms with them. Not in like a "I don't DO feelings" type way, but more in a "Well... no... it could be this" type of way.
Oh, his heart rate speeds up a little bit when you two accidently brush hands? It must just be his nerves.
When he does realize that he has feelings for someone, it's kind of like that scene in Gravity Falls where Dipper is like "It's not like I stay awake at night thinking about Wendy" and it cuts to him laying awake thinking about Wendy XD
If he likes someone romantically, he talks about them a lot. Like as if trying to bring them up as much as he can. Like "Oh (Y/N) mentioned something about that book, said they really liked it" Or "(Y/N) actually said something similar about that topic" If he could yap about you for hours, he probably would.
Even if you're being PAINFULLY obvious about your romantic feelings towards Viktor, he will firmly believe you're just being friendly.
Why he does it is a mix between two things: one is that he's just not awesome with people. And second is that he firmly believes someone like you could never love someone like him back.
One night, Viktor had been constantly working without break, so you practically dragged him to his room by his ear and forced him to get some rest.
Viktor has a strong habit of having his workspace FILLED with old mugs, sometimes days old. He doesn't really mean to, just too wrapped up in Hextech to really notice.
He also struggles with meals too. Just like above, because he literally just gets too wrapped up in his work.
If Viktor actually confesses feelings, it's such an interesting experience. Because he doesn't just flat out say "Hey I have feelings for you". He stumbles over his words and rambles about something random in the middle of it. So you gotta help him out a little bit.
Viktor's love language is quality time. He'll make sure his seat is next to you when it can, he always yaps about what he's uncovered about Hextech.
Speaking of Hextech, if you just sit there and watch him work? He'd about die of happiness on the spot. If you, someone he really loved, took an interest to something he truly loved DOING? Perfect.
He used to get really flustered about physical affection. Like you held his hand one time and he about combusted. He was red in the face for hours. He got better with it overtime, of course. But for the first few months, he was pretty much bright red the whole time.
Dates are rare, neither of you have the time for it. But when you two do have dates of some kind, they're mostly stay at home type things.
You know that thing kids do? Like playing their own separate things together? Parallel play, I think it's called? Yeah you two do that a lot.
Viktor will be reading some papers and you'll be reading a book, your feet in his lap.
Speaking of, Viktor is such a reader omg He doesn't read a lot anymore due to his constant workload, but when he does, he reads a lot of like... old books. The ones with yellowing pages and smell nice? Yeah... those ones!
If you two slept in the same bed, he'd be all like... giggly and nervous the first few times. Just like affection, he'd get used to it. But it's still cute.
When you two are cuddling, run your fingers in his hair. He'll melt right into you regardless of the situation. It's like an instant relax button for him.
Him laying his head on your chest, and you running your fingers through his hair? Something about it just... works. It calms him down a lot and makes him feel at peace.
His favorite place to kiss is the crook of your neck. Especially if you're around his height (he's like... between 5'7 and 5'10. I don't remember exactly).
Or your temples. It's simple, it doesn't attract a lot of attention. And let's be real, it's underrated as hell.
He's not big on PDA, but he'll hold your hand in public. He likes holding onto just one of your fingers, like your pinkie or something like that. It, just like temple kisses, is simple and discreet.
He doesn't often say "I love you". He feels bad about it, but you don't mind. He often says I love you without saying it. Things like holding you while you sleep, kissing your forehead as you two read in each other's arms, weaving your fingers with his while he works.
He gets self-conscious a lot. He thinks you could do a lot better than him and that he's not perfect.
Please kiss this poor boy all over and tell him he's perfect as is 😭😭
~☆~
A/N:The Arcane brainrot has gotten to me... This is how I'm coping with the finale. But I've wanted to write Viktor or Sevika stuff for a HOT minute now. I've been in the Arcane fandom for YEARS (a fanfic writer even longer) but this is my first Arcane fic... wild XD

Heyyy I had asked for 13 and 15 and honestly anyone would be fine but joshua got me feeling some type way these days.... Thank you cutieeee ❤️ ❤️
heyyy, sure-sure! thank you for requesting! 💜 hopefully you will like it!
suggestive prompt: 'ngl, that turned me on.' - 'oh, really?'
dating with joshua comes with many perks. he is, in general, the best boyfriend you could've ever asked for, but your favorite thing about him is how he goes out of his way to get involved into something that you like even if he has no interest in it. he's the sweetest and you proclaim this loudly, as he mixes eggs and milk in one bowl, wanting to help you bake the most delicious cinnamon buns ever.
'it's nothing, love,' he smiles shyly. 'if it matters to you to give our guests home cooked cinnamon buns then it matters to me too.'
you coo, leaning closer to give him a kiss. 'thanks, babe. now mix it all well and add sugar.'
joshua is always diligent and you're not surprised with how thorough he is, kneading the dough like his life depends on it. what you are surprised with is how much the whole scene turns you on. joshua is wearing a slim fit t-shirt that hugs his whole frame nicely beneath the apron and his biceps and veins grab your attention as he works the dough in the bowl first, then he places it on the table. joshua does the smacking thing twice and you have to look away, embarrassed at how quickly your thoughts go south at such an innocent gesture. joshua notices your rosy cheeks, of course. 'what is it, love?'
your inability to lie really makes your life so hard at times. 'not gonna lie, that turned me on,' you blurt, trying to pass it as a joke.
joshua, the fucker, doesn't even look confused. instead he smiles, stepping closer to you. 'oh really?' he questions, trapping you between his body and the kitchen counter. 'you liked that little show i put on for you?'
you gasp, hitting his chest. 'you- that was on purpose? whole flexing thing?!'
joshua chuckles and nods. 'for who do i go to the gym? it's my main aim to have my girlfriend salivating of my arms,' he half-jokes, grinning at your offended expression. 'no, don't pout, my love. you enjoyed the show, right?'
you know where this is going before he leans in and starts kissing up your neck. 'we have two hours before the guests,' you remind him. 'don't start.'
'two hours are more than enough for us,' he mumbles, nibbling at your skin teasingly. he grabs your hands and starts pulling you with him, out of the kitchen. 'dough is ready anyways, we should leave it for an hour at least.'
'but-' joshua shushes with you a kiss. it's an effective way to shut you up, you can give him that.
'can't leave my girlfriend all turned on, can i?' joshua winks.
you let go, give in. 'that would be very ungentlemanly of you,' you agree, making him smile.
after all, two hours are enough for you two.
a/n: request your own here! <3 - nini

Sam, how on earth did you get permabanned from tinder and okcupid? That seems like such a random thing!
I'm still not entirely sure; I have a theory, and Tinder gave me an indication, but by policy they don't tell people why they've been banned. Which I can understand, if someone reported you for bad behavior they don't want you to know or suspect who.
For me it was very weird. I'd had accounts with both before but had deleted them so I needed to reregister. When I registered for Tinder they kept making me verify I was real in different ways, like some weird escalating scale of identity. At last they had me take a real specific picture, and then I got an email saying I could not prove I was real to their satisfaction, and that I was permabanned. I never even interacted with anyone on the app.
But there are plenty of apps, so I went to okcupid a few days later and while they didn't SAY Tinder tattled to them, they immediately denied and permabanned me when I put in my phone number. I can only suppose they talked. They're both owned by the same company, so it tracks.
Most dating apps are owned by one or two companies, they're just formulated differently for different tastes/wants. What's funny is that I'm on at least one other app owned by Match Group and that one, Hinge, is totally fine with me. So idk.
The post office also didn't believe my address was real for the first few years I tried to register for their postal Letters to Santa giving program. I still can't get delivery meals that don't go badly awry. It's enough to give a guy a complex, but honestly I never felt good or comfortable on those two apps anyway so it might be for my own good. Having been on different ones now, I genuinely think OKCupid is one of the more toxic apps in this sphere, purely because it markets itself so specifically to people looking for authenticity but doesn't really foster it. A lot of other apps at least don't pretend they aren't meat markets.
I've had to approach dating apps in general as hostile places, simply because the level of harm they inflict for someone with RSD is so high. I don't blame the other users, but the apps themselves are structured so that you can, for example, see all the people who didn't think you were date material, but have to pay to see people who thought you were. Being radically honest about who I am and what I want has been helpful because I expect a much higher rejection rate from that, so I'm braced for it, but it's still not fun. On the other hand, this is the first try where I've made meaningful connections that have resulted in real dates. Breakfast Date, who I met on Hinge, has been really hot and fun, and Museum Date, who I met on eHarmony, is an ongoing exercise in hilarity (sexy hilarity) so for the first time it's worth it. And I don't think that would have been the case on OKCupid.

honestly it would be funny to make an analog horror and include hints to all the normal tropes but then none of them end up being actually the case.
there's a kid acting weird, they weren't abused, murdered, or possessed. they've got ADHD and having trouble at school, but with some medication they're doing better now.
there's a company making a video game and it doesn't come out, and there's mysterious stories about the developers... the game is found on a CD-R at goodwill, and it's a decent if incomplete platformer-RPG.
the developer disappeared because he got kicked out of the country due to an expired work visa. He's actually just fine off in a different country doing work on other things. (fun fact: this happened to the main programmer of Final Fantasy I-III & Secret of Mana halfway through making II & III: His Japanese work visa expired, and they had to finish programming the game by moving all the other (Japanese) developers to Sacramento)
The company is experimenting with weird physics, and they have tons of security with it. There's no portal, no backrooms... but their new capacitor chemistry is significantly cheaper but with similar longevity. The security was to keep their competitors from stealing their millions of dollars of research.
There's a religious sect which has weird rituals and it turns out... they're a bunch of christians who have minor issues with the similar christians they split off from. They are very passionate about 1 Corinthians 3:16 and they refuse to eat avocados or other large berries, at pain of expulsion. What? No? No one got abused or sacrificed. I mean, Tanya sacrificed her weekends for 5 years to cook for the preschool, but she's still alive and happy.
There's a serial killer stalking the city. He leaves cryptic clues to his next target. The police capture him easily with a illegal DNA test after his daughter got cancer.
There's a spooky entity sometimes seen in analog media, and corrupting digital ones... after additional shielding is added to the main turbine of the Long Shoals Power Plant, the audio/visual disturbances in the area vanish.
That spooky tall person haunting the woods turns out to be a trans woman in a hoodie (it's cold in november!) foraging for mushrooms. She talks your ear off about how to tell the difference between Spring kings (Boletus rex-veris) and the deadly brown roll-rim (Paxillus involutus).
The abandoned house has a dark secret: the floorboards on the second floor are not up to code. why do you think it got condemned in the first place? Don't go up there, you might die! not from a ghost, from falling through the floor and getting super-tetanus.
The toy company closed down, all to hide their dark secret: those toys were made in sweatshop! the paint on the dolls has unsafe amounts of lead! The producer for the cartoon resigned in disgrace... no he just got a DUI and spent 9 months in jail for it. no kids were involved and no one died.
there's an alternate history about the US where it turns out all kinds of secret massacres and evil architecture and deals with pure evil and super weapons... but it's just the same ones we did in this reality. you know, the Black Hawk War, the MOVE bombing, the various mining wars, Robert Moses's racist & classist city planning, Project Paperclip, and ICBMs. No need for magic glass or hidden structures inside monuments: we've got Trinity Glass and the Cheyenne Mountain Complex.
You get strange notes left by your door, and it turns out they were all left by that nice lady who helped you with the groceries the other day. Her english isn't so good, and usually her grandson stops by and helps, but he's been away for school and her broken words didn't get across how she had some spare eggs from her chickens if you'd like some, it instead read more like she was going to "take your eggs"?
You can't believe that urban legend about an evil barren woman preying on pregnant women. that was just some bullshit made up by that christian group who was protesting abortion on your campus. It never happened (insert frakes gif here)
The guy stuck in a submarine at the bottom of the ocean is just there because he's an idiot techbro, not because he's a criminal condemned to one final mission at the bottom of a sea of blood in a universe where the stars are all dead. He just thought he was smarter than the people who actually build submarines, and made his out of expired tin foil.
I'm gonna make a analog horror
hard mode: there will be no "anomalies".

⚰WIP WHENEVER⚰
I've been tagged by @xxnashiraxx and love seeing their work pop up on my dash - thank you <3
The Soup du Jour is... smut! Plotless, pointless, porntacular, horny Emmrook smut.
We've got praise kinks, we've got flashing, we've got grinding, we've got trying-to-distract-this-poor-man-from-his-work, we've got Rook biting off more than she can chew when Emmrich calls her bluff. It is in this piece that I am (ultimately) going to make good on my threat of Emmrich reciting erotic poetry intimately into Rook's ear while he makes deeply passionate love to her, because that idea has lived rent-free in my head for days now and I need to manifest it. But first I need Rook to be a brat, and for Emmrich to... deal with that.
I was having doubts about this one because I am forever afraid of writing OOC, but honestly I'm just trying to chuck it in the fuck it bucket and have fun.
Tagging: @preciouslittlebhaalbae (you have TIME now MWAHAHAHA), @allofthebarks (don't hold out on me), @emmg (I know you're cooking 👀)
Under the cut because it is ✨EXPLICIT✨
𝒱𝒾𝓈𝒾𝓉𝒶𝓉𝒾𝑜𝓃:
A funeral event where the prepared body of the deceased is reposed in the casket (open or closed) so that mourners may pay their respects, say their goodbyes, and grieve communally prior to the formal funeral service.
She knew exactly what she was doing when she pulled on the flimsy little camisole. She had very specific plans in mind when she slipped into the thin leggings that she knew were just a little too tight. There was a distinct reason she had chosen to completely forgo underthings.
She tied her thick hair into a low bun at the base of her skull so her neck was clearly visible… as was the somewhat faded love bite from their previous encounter - the one that made Lace turn beetroot when she laid eyes on it at breakfast. The one that prompted Taash to reach over the table with a congratulatory high five. Emmrich had coughed awkwardly and subtly adjusted his own collar, clearly hoping the marks Amina had left on his neck in return were concealed.
She padded barefoot down the hallway to the laboratory, stomach fluttering and turning on itself in a not unpleasant way with the sheer anticipation of being in his proximity again. She couldn’t help but be drawn to him - his immense gravity could not be ignored; her need to be near him was insistent. She put little stock in the novelty of fate before Emmrich, but there was no doubt in her mind that there must have been some sort of cosmic ruling in which they were unwittingly sentenced by the stars to find one another. Her belly smouldered at the thought of such a thing… of such belonging.
She knocked gently on the door. “It’s me - may I come in?”
She didn’t have to wait for an answer, nor did she have to turn the knob herself: she heard a chair scuff over the flagstone, the muffled jingle of gold - a sound that set her heart racing more often than not these days - and the door was flung open. Emmrich stood in the threshold, beaming affectionately down at her.
“Of course, darling.” He took her hand and pulled her into the room, reaching over her shoulder to shut the door once she was inside. She might have been embarrassed that the sound of the lock clicking behind her made her breath catch solely due to its implication, but she was having a hard time feeling much of anything but barely restrained lust for the man in front of her.
He drew her in close with an arm around her waist, still holding her hand between them, massaging her palm with his thumb as he bowed his head to kiss her sweetly. Her knees went weak when his lips met hers and his familiar scent filled her nose, rendering her brain incapable of anything other than inwardly chanting the same base sentiment over and over for as long as the kiss lasted: Home! Home! Home! Home! You’re home!
He straightened and looked at her, smiling as though he hadn’t heard the hungry little moan that had slipped from her, nor perceived the way she’d pressed as much of her body against him as she could during their embrace. “How are you today?” He asked, genuinely interested - as always. He knew. Surely he knew that she was positively bursting with need for him.
“Fine,” she breathed, returning the smile, watching as he started back towards the desk that was covered with books, inkpots, and parchment. “I’m well, thank you. Just thought I’d come say hello, see what you’re up to.”
He pulled a chair over to the opposite side of the desk for her to sit on. She opted to remain standing instead, her eyes flitted over the pages of drying ink spread over the desk.
“More letters home?” She waited until he was settled in his chair again, the quill back in his hand, and she bent at the waist to take a closer look at a recent anatomical drawing he’d completed. She could feel the cozy heat of the laboratory caress the exposed peaks of her breasts as the insubstantial shirt draped downward, offering a generous eyeful to anyone who might be sitting directly across from her.
Her eyes flicked up from the drawing when Emmrich didn’t answer right away, a clever smile pulling at the corners of her mouth when she caught him red-handed; his eyes locked on the dainty swell of her breasts.
He came to his senses when he felt her eyes on him and he comprehended the coquettish smirk on her face. “Yes.” He licked his lips. “Yes. Maintaining alliships and channels of communication is vital as we draw closer to our confrontation with the gods.” He swallowed and smiled again as Amina straightened and rounded the desk, settling against the wood on his side now.
“A fine plan,” she concurred, leaning back on her hands, her very visible nipples more or less eye level for the handsome academic to admire. “I hope I’m not distracting you: it’s so rare that I get a few hours to just relax these days.” She made a bit of a show of tilting her chin up and slowly rolling her head from side to side, stretching out the muscles of her neck and making sure Emmrich could see the soft plum-tinted bloom of colour he’d imparted on her skin as he sent her over the edge with his name on her lips, buried to the hilt between her legs as she clenched hard around him, her fingers curled tightly in his soft, thick hair. ‘You are incredible, darling,’ he had sighed against her tingling skin afterwards when they were little more than a tangled, panting heap of limbs. It had taken a good hour after that before she could walk again…
Amina squirmed against the desk a little at the thought, aware of the burgeoning wetness that was accumulating at the juncture of her thighs.
Somehow Emmrich managed to maintain the discipline required to look back at the letter he was working on, his lips curling quaintly. “Not at all, my dear - quite the contrary in fact: I’m so glad that you’re finally taking some time to look after yourself.” He dipped the quill, tapped it once, twice, and then brought it to the paper.
She observed him in silence until he seemingly made peace with the fact that she was not going to sit on the chair he’d brought over for her, and instead pushed his own back slightly, pulling her down onto his lap where she perched gleefully, having gotten what she wanted.
“I must concede that you are somewhat distracting, so I will need your assistance in proofreading these before they’re sent out - I do have an academic reputation to maintain, regardless of the beautiful woman on my knee.”
“Is that so?” Amina purred, nuzzling into his neck, her lips barely ghosting over his skin that smelled organic and clean - crisp soap and freshly cut sage… a lingering hint of pipe tobacco and expensive brandy.
Oh yes, she was going to be one hell of a distraction…
“She sounds like a real piece of work, this woman. It’s a marvel that you get anything done at all with her around.” She tilted her hips ever so slightly. Not enough for it to be claimed that she was trying to get a rise out of him, but enough so that the fingernails of his left hand dug into her side a little where he gripped her. A pleased smile took her lips at the feeling of him against her, already half hard: he could pretend to be aloof and composed all he liked, but she knew that there was only one possible outcome for this encounter.
“I was just having a similar thought, as it turns out,” he murmured, breath catching slightly when Amina ground against him more deliberately this time. “She’s cornered me in my laboratory no fewer than three times this week, you see: my productivity has utterly plummeted.”
The way he whispered those words, his voice so sinful and cunning…
“Oh dear…” Amina tutted. “Well we can’t have that now, can we?” She moved to slide from his lap, fully prepared to at least pretend that she cared a whit about Emmrich’s ‘productivity’ of late.
He held her fast though, keeping her on his lap with his hands and arms, and the sheer fact of his existence alone. She rewarded him with a satisfied hum and another agonizingly slow roll of her hips, suspecting that she was probably beginning to soak through her thin pants.
His hand dropped from her waist to her thigh and he palmed the expanse of hard muscle there, dragging his fingers towards her hip as he leaned forward and his hot breath washed over the sensitive shell of her ear, driving a small gasp from her as she flinched in his grasp: he had not been idly boasting during that dinner date about his anatomical prowess.
“I fear I wouldn’t have it any other way…” he confided, those artful, nimble fingers of his straying to her waistband and slipping beneath it. He sharply inhaled through his teeth and uttered a soft ‘oh’ when he found her waiting for him, slick and needy. There was a slight tremor in his voice when he said, “She is intoxicating, you see…”
She moaned encouragingly as he swirled a finger through her, clearly enjoying the experience of her arousal alone: she could distinctly feel his hardness against her rear now.
Oh how she longed to ravish him - ride him to completion on this very chair, or on the floor perhaps. Maybe against one of the many bookshelves that lined the room - they had dallied against one the week before, her leg hitched up around his thin waist, pulling him deeper as he set a pace that stole her breath from her lungs and hit angles that caused her to see stars.
Or she could bend over the railing of the balcony upstairs and feign interest in the curious nature of their environs while he slammed into her over and over again, his fingers digging into the soft flesh of her hips…
Of course there had been the rather awkward instance a few days earlier where Manfred had wandered in on them both in a state of partial undress: Emmrich’s waistcoat hanging open, Amina dragging her hands through his hair, her own shirt piled in a careless heap on the floor nearby and Emmrich’s hand down her pants as she tried to kick off her high-heeled lilac slippers without removing her lips from his skin. Manfred had launched himself between the two of them with a consternated hiss, clearly interpreting their entanglement to mean they were fighting instead of well… the other thing. The following day, Emmrich gave his first in a series of many lectures to Manfred about the birds and the bees - and reiterated the invaluable virtue of always knocking before entering a room that might have someone else in it.
She was snapped from her musing at the sublime sensation of Emmrich’s finger dragging along the ridges of her walls as he slid the digit inside of her. She let out a small gasp at the intrusion and reflexively clenched around it, hips rocking against his once more.
“... but I really must finish these letters.” There was a playful, coy edge to his voice as he slowly withdrew his finger and slowly pushed it back in. “This striking woman of mine will need to exercise patience today, it seems…”
Something about being his striking woman in particular sent a jolt of arousal straight through her very soul. She could feel the cool metal of his rings against her feverish skin as he cupped her sex, his thumb brushing almost tauntingly over her aching clit.
“Please, Emmrich…” she whined, arching up into his touch, making her need plain.
The demonstration of manners earned her a second finger, but her lover did not deviate from his task as he leaned forward, dipped the quill, and began to write once more. “In good time, my precious love,” he soothed. “Try to relax for the time being - I shan’t take long.”
“It feels so good though…”
“That’s wonderful, darling - I want you to feel good.”
She fell silent, the wind in the sails of her desire to argue stilling as she let her head fall against the back of the chair and closed her eyes, allowing herself to exist in the moment - holding on tight to every emphatic response of her nervous system as Emmrich touched her with a capable familiarity that suggested he’d touched her a thousand times before; the erotic symphony of the quill scratching over the parchment mingled with the sound of his fingers moving within her… her breathy moans… his many bangles shifting gently with each purposeful gesture…
“You’re doing so well,” he murmured eventually - she had lost track of time - kissing her shoulder before returning to the letter. He had to be nearly done, hadn’t he? “So good for me… my sweet Amina…”
She whimpered at his words - the reverent praise tolling something deep within her that was starved and lonely. She writhed on his thigh as he placed tender kisses all over her cheek and crooked his fingers, stroking that euphoric place inside of her that made cognizant thought impossible and made her thighs tremble like she’d been in the training hall all day. He took her apart slowly, casually… effortlessly, and before long she was fluttering around him, cheeks and lips flushed a delicate pink, staring down an orgasm that was about to be everyone in the building’s business - she could feel it: the deep fire in her belly roiling and twisting on itself, going taut, so tense and eager that one more touch could snap it, yielding the most decadent release…
And then he was gone, the absence of his touch keenly felt as her walls flexed and tensed around the sudden nothingness.
She glowered at him, though her stomach flip-flopped enthusiastically as she watched him taste her on his slender fingers with a dignified poise she should have expected. “That was cruel.”
“Is it cruel to strive to linger in a garden of untold majesty forever, even knowing forever is unobtainable?” He stroked those same fingers gently over her lips and she caught the tip of one between her teeth, flicking the very tip of her tongue over the fleshy pad of it. “I want to savour you, my dear.” He buried his nose in her hair and inhaled her scent. “Let me take my time.”

"You don't find it, you make it"
Buck has lived with those words for years now, those words lived in the back of his mind for some time, honestly he nearly forgot about those words. But recently those words have resurfaced in his mind coming to the forefront. Buck stopped looking, knowing that it would never just stumble upon him, he had to make it. And he wanted to make it with Tommy.
Buck was never great at gifts for his partners, (family and friends were easy, partners on the other hand...) but Buck knew exactly what he was going to give to Tommy this Christmas.
It was June, Buck started to do his very delayed spring cleaning around his loft. (Who could blame him for doing it so late, his life has been a whirlwind and it just started to slow down) Luckily for him he actually had some help this year with it, Eddie and Maddie have refused to do so ever since he moved into the place. It's not like Buck needs the help, he's a grown adult, but it's nice to have the company. This year he had Tommy to help.
"Hey," Tommy smiled with a small peck of the lips while walking into Buck's apartment, "Eddie warned me to stay as far away as possible while you had a clipboard in your hands... should I be concerned?"
"What?" Buck scoffed, he's gonna have to have a word with Eddie when this was all over, "I am just proficient, there is nothing wrong with having an organized list!"
Buck grabbed Tommy by the hands leading him to the kitchen, "We are going to start at opposite ends and meet in the middle, I need you to first start with reorganizing the fridge. Here I made a crude chart of what it's supposed to look like." Buck shoved a clipboard into Tommy's hand-labeled 'kitchen', "And don't do it like how you have your fridge, it's a complete disaster, follow the instructions."
"There is something wrong with how I organize my fridge?" Tommy raised an eyebrow.
"Yes," Buck exasperated, "Who puts raw chicken in the same compartment as their vegetables!"
"Oh I see what they meant about 'Clipboard Buck'," Tommy chuckled, "Not gonna lie Evan it's kind of hot."
"No, no flirting Mr. we have work that has to be done." Buck kissed Tommy on the cheek and headed up the stairs.
It's when Buck was cleaning up his closet when he found the scrapbook, he never knew why exactly he saved it, but there it is resting in the corner of the closet. Those fateful words now ringing in his mind over and over. Then it clicked, the light bulb over his head sprang to life. A scrapbook! It was perfect.
For the next few months, Buck would bring a camera with him wherever the two of them went, hiking, to the beach, a picnic, dinner dates, everywhere.
"Why do you keep bringing that camera with you? What exactly are you planning Evan?" Tommy asked one night.
"You'll see, you just have to be patient," Buck smirked.
He even took pictures on their casual days off, Tommy asleep in bed, Tommy cuddling with Buck on the couch, Tommy in the kitchen making morning coffee after a night of intimacy.
After a while, Buck took more pictures than he could count. By the beginning of autumn, Buck finally got the supplies for Tommy's Christmas present, he started putting it together piece by piece. It was a week and a half later Buck had the entire thing ready leaving space to add on more with a small note inside that read:
A while ago someone said you cannot find it, you have to make it, here it to our future and making us possible.
It was Christmas Eve when Buck walked into his loft alone. The 118 holiday party at Bobby and Athena’s new home filled him up with joy and laughter. He nearly forgot that he was supposed to be with someone else. He was looking forward to a day at Maddie and Chimney's home where he would spend even more time with his family. Another day to forget. But all of that rushed back to him as soon as he stepped foot in his loft. All he could think of was Tommy, his smile, his warmth, his laughter that he ached for. Tears started to sting his eyes as the door clicked behind him. He wondered if Tommy was thinking about him.
Buck rushed up the stairs, grabbed the wrapped scrapbook, and headed back downstairs. He grabbed the nearest bottle of liquor a small trash can and a few matches. Buck shivered in the oddly cool air on his balcony throwing the gift into the small metal can pouring the liquor over it. The small match ignited in Buck's hand after striking it across the side of the matchbox. He took a minute to look at the movement of the small flame, then dropped it into the small can.
Flames ate away at the glittery wrapping paper revealing the crinkly smile Buck yearned for underneath. The edges of the handmade book shrink to ash. Quickly, Buck grabbed the scrapbook unable to get go of it, his hands burned from the hot flames but he didn't care, to lose this would hurt even more. Buck dropped it on the ground stomping out the flames, in a pitiful tilt Buck gazed down at the book, gently picking it up and opening it. He went through the pages, the memories, tears started to stream down his face. Buck's body collapsed onto one of the outdoor chairs, flipping through the pages.
"I guess even making it doesn't work after all," Buck muttered choking on his tears.

Azris one-shot
listen. listenlistenlisten I don't know what this is, I just thought it would be nice to see Eris drool over some thick, meaty Azriel. Not my intention to make him sound like a well-cooked steak but alas.
I wrote this in a very short amount of time so if there's typos or issues my bad but also I'm trying to get better at *gestures vaguely* not caring so much that it stops me from posting :D
(be warned there is smut, semi-graphic but I'm still virgin-esque at this so not fully)
*drops this and runs*
...
Eris had never truly thought of it—like looking at the sun straight on, it would probably burn him to do so. But that didn't mean he didn't see. Search the differences between two bodies and try and imagine where his hands would go on the soft curves of a waistline. The blush pink of kissed cheeks and satin skin framed by long, silken locks of hair. He could like it, could find the beauty in it, of course. But it was more like looking at flowers, the glimmer of sunlight on the surface of a lake. Such beauty was expected, known, and only to be looked at and admired—nothing to touch, certainly nothing to desire.
This body was different in all forms.
The camps had melded at some point, Eris had ended up somewhere different this time and honestly he was too stuck in his head to find his way back. The inky blue black of the night court wear became more common, Eris realized distantly he was somewhere in or close to the night court camp. Yet still, it wasn't enough to send him back-pedaling to his own camp, his own tent.
A male had come crashing to the earth, and Eris had seen skin. It was only once he had shut his agape mouth with a snap that he recognized the cobalt blaze of stones on the Illyrians chest and hands. Azriel—because surely he was forever cursed to only know that name, and so intimately that he knows the taste of his blood in his mouth yet doesn't know the shape the tattoo on his chest takes.
Azriel was yelling, tendons stark against his skin, sweat and a streak of blood across his forehead and jaw. His leathers were torn, from throat to nearly the waistline of his pants, hanging in ribbons around his body as he shucked off the arm of the male he was helping stagger to a medic. Something about the anger, so present it seemed to rattle his whole frame till those exposed parts of his body was jolting with it. Eris knew in some way that Illyrians are carved differently than autumn fae, even more so than high fae, yet it doesn't stop his mouth from going dry at the full look at just how different.
It's meat—he thinks it half-crazed. A healthy thickness to Azriel's chest that brings a curve to his pectorals, flexing with his movements as he shoves away one of the males, still shouting. Eris follows the path easily down, like his own trail of droplets of water or sweat or whatever remains staining his skin that glossy bronze. The weight of those muscles continues further, bunching at his abdomen which heaves and flexes and the hollow of his navel catches the light—
Shit. Cauldron boil him there are no words strong enough to describe the pang of lust that strikes him blind right between the eyes. It must've traveled all the way down the line of his spine because suddenly Eris can't breathe, can't look away, can't do anything but stay stuck, standing and feeling for the first time what he thinks is the white hot flame of desire flickering at the base of his spine. Some tease, some gentle prodding of 'you see me now?'
It's not like he didn't know. Eris had dragged Azriel's unconscious body enough times to know how impossibly heavy he is. It doesn't matter—seeing it, even partially bared to him like this, may just be the thing to send him to his knees.
He wants it.
Cauldron damn him to Hel, he wants.
And he's never been good at it, getting a hand around himself and reaching some pinnacle, some kind of precipice of relief so grand it's all the males his age could whisper and talk about. But he thinks, a little wild, a little starved, he thinks if he had the full weight of that body between his thighs. If he had it, warm with blood and flush with heat, maybe keeping the stripe of dried blood on his stubbled jaw—he thinks he could do it. Find the kind of release the soldiers in his army seem to find easily between the legs of a female.
And that's—that's the problem. That's him, in the depths of the problem.
It's amazing how many realizations he comes to within the span of what can be no longer than a couple heart beats. But in one moment Eris is watching the way Azriel's powerful body moves, muscles flexing under the bronze glint of his skin, and the next they're meeting eyes. Eris's body had gone from bubbling with a new kind of heat to icy with dread. The kind he only knows in window-less cells, iron chains.
Azriel meets his eyes, even from paces away, and Eris curses to himself as he feels his stomach swoop. Trying to dip closer to where that flame had rested even though it's hardly anything more than a dimming ember now. His eyes narrow, and Eris just hopes he can't see any of the lingering tinges of lust in his own gaze. That everything he felt had been kept in his head away from the environment outside.
For a moment he thinks he has succeeded in maintaining that careless facade, Azriel's own gaze darkening and his mouth tightening with a scowl. But then something happens, faster than Eris can understand, and he watches through what feels like fog as something crosses the Illyrian's face. His head tips, predatory and watchful, and begins to walk over.
Eris breathes out harshly, refusing to admit that it comes out trembling, that there's a part of him shaking deep behind his rib cage in fear that Azriel saw. Saw what Eris tried to hide and is coming to make an example out of him.
Eris draws himself up, chin pointed and looking down his nose as Azriel gets closer.
"Can I help you?"
Azriel doesn't say anything, the silence unnerving, as he just watches Eris from under the shadow of his lashes.
"Behind you." He says, Eris has to work to ignore the swell of his pectorals in front of him.
He swallows hard, off-balance, "I—pardon?"
"Tent, behind you, it's empty."
Eris starts to catch on—and it may not make a lot of sense, he may be welcoming his own murder, but there's something in the way Azriel's looking at him that brings the white hot flame back. The bubbles in his stomach, a clench at the base of his spine.
-
He's the first one in, the first one to cross the threshold of the tent but Azriel's not that far behind.
It's a different world when he steps through, maybe just a single moment in that world. A moment where Eris is allowed to look, to want.
And he wants.
-
Azriel's big, from up close and far away and right between his thighs the breadth of his shoulders is enough to send a tender ache through the muscles of his legs and the joints of his hips. It's messy from the start—trying to stay quiet and Eris coming to the mortifying realization that he's miserably bad at that. So Azriel keeps his mouth on his, or slides his fingers between his lips when he asks for lubricant, or presses his whole palm down across his mouth when he slides in.
All of him—Eris feels the length of him against the base of his spine and shivers hard—inside, pressed close, gods how can a body be so hot and not burn to ashes? And from there it's a chase. Eris keeps his teeth pinched in the meat of Azriel's scarred palm, and Azriel keeps his noises buried in the crook of his sweat-damp neck. He's all muscle, and there's no soft dip of a waist to cradle. There's no satin skin or delicate blush. Azriel is heavy, his stomach rolls over itself when his hips thrust back in, skin and muscle and Eris swears he can feel the flex of it all on his own neglected arousal.
His hands are—gods his hands—they're rough and worn, yet every now and then one will leave their position branding his hips with petal-shaped bruises and come up to cradle the back of his head. They run gentle over the back of his thigh when he pries him apart further—asking for him to open his body more, thighs to hip to where he's split open and raw at the center of his being.
The scars themselves are finger-prints.
These aren't the hands of anyone, of any male. Eris knows now, as the heave of their chests gets dire; the air hot and wet between their mouths, the constant, hard push of his cock right up into that one place that sets his belly on fire—he knows he'll forever remember this touch. Know these palms blind he swears he's been branded by the lightning-shaped ridges of them.
There's a moment where Eris loses sight, fingers locked in silken raven hair, as his hips move in harder, faster, his eyes rolling back to the point white sparks dance behind them. It's the end, some primal part of him knows what's coming even if he's never reached pleasure like this, and yet he digs in further with his nails, his heels as if keeping Azriel close will stave off the inevitable.
It does the opposite, Azriel's grunting low in his throat, animalistic and wanting and Eris sighs a soft moan when he feels the indentation of teeth at the hinge of his jaw. The noises their bodies make is nearly enough to send him off, but he's hanging there, just at the edge, just waiting.
Azriel's biceps flex, reaching under Eris's thighs and pulling them out and up so the backs of his knees rest in the crooks of his arms. He's folded, bared even further than he possibly thought he could be—feeling the roll of his own skin against himself and wondering when it got so wet. Gods does it do it, though. Azriel keeps himself closer than ever, hot breath against his cheek as Eris claws at him, a wail muffled behind his own hand, and feels the break through his body.
The angle, the pressure against that one perfect spot, Azriel's warmth and weight drawing so much heat from him, into him, everything snaps in one moment.
Azriel is there through it all, when Eris futilely arches up in some form of welcoming the lightning branding his spine, and when he comes back down. Still coiled tight under Azriel's working hips, though they falter in pace again, and again, and once more before Azriel curls over Eris's sweat-soaked, shaking body like the protective limbs of a tree.
The weight of his heaving stomach pressing against Eris's own makes him swallow hard, carding a trembling hand through Azriel's tangled locks, wondering if the scent of sex will stick to him like sunlight or if he'll only smell like he would after a battle, a sparring match. For a moment it's easy, gentle, breathing together and trying to find the balance they had completely lost once they crossed the threshold of the tent. Eris doesn't mind, the company is nice, even the ache of the stretch which has grown into a dull throb is pleasant.
It's the after he's dreading. The unsticking of their bodies, because Eris is warm here, and he knows deep down when Azriel pries himself away something vital will be ripped from him.
But it's a quick tryst in an empty tent, they both have things to do, and Azriel still has dried blood flaking on his cheeks. Eris supposes he can keep the memory of it for himself, just a little while.
...
(can you tell I didn't know how to end it)
um so like Hi. It's been a minute I blame college and my abysmal time management. First azris thing I've written in m o n t h s and man am I rusty but wow it feels good to get these two freaks back on my page 😎

Jayvik and time paradoxes
I can't stop thinking about Jayce/Viktor. They're driving me insane, absolutely INSANE. Because everything about them is a time paradox??
This is pretty rambly, I'm just trying to get my thoughts down in my attempt to stop going crazy over them and also just figure out what the heck happened because I'm still kind of confused about some stuff, also I am not very familiar with game lore, mainly just the show.
They circle each other and are so intrinsically linked in so many ways, being both cause and effect to each other's fates. Starting at a random point that ends up circling all the way back:
Jayce and Viktor invent Hextech
Jayce gets drawn into politics as a result, away from Viktor
Viktor gets desperate, experiments with hextech on himself, with Consequences (Sky)
Viktor asks Jayce to destroy hextech
Jayce, unable to let Viktor die after Jinx's attack, fuses him with it instead
This leads to Machine Herald viktor, but not quite; like Pre-herald I guess? Where Viktor still retains some humanity
Jayce gets told by alternate Viktor to stop him from becoming the Herald
In his attempt to do so, he kind of causes/hastens it instead?! (more thoughts on this below*)
alternate Herald Viktor regrets everything and saves baby Jayce/gives him the runestone**
Jayce grows up wanting to research magic thanks to mage Viktor, and cue s1 events that end up circling back to the first point**
*I can't stop thinking about how kind and gentle Viktor seemed when he was trying to help Vander. It really seemed like he was on a path to using his new powers for good, without any sinister effects (though maybe I missed some hints, need to rewatch). It wasn't until after Jayce blew his heart to smithereens that he seemed to start on that path of deeming emotions and humanity unnecessary, solidified when Jayce rejected him to join him as partners again.
**Still trying to wrap my brain around these last two. The existence of alternate Herald Viktor that brings our Jayce to his destroyed world in order to ask him to stop our Viktor - does this imply that Viktor would have still become Machine Herald even if Jayce hadn't tried to kill him? Was it an inevitable thing? Or is this still more time paradox shenanigans, where Viktor asking Jayce to stop/kill his younger self, is both the cause and effect of Herald Viktor? And yet another paradox, Viktor inspired baby Jayce to research magic and ultimately invent Hextech, which is what was needed for Machine Herald Viktor to come to pass. So it seems like there are actually 2 paradoxes related to the creation of Herald Viktor/apocalypse post Viktor's revolution.
These time paradoxes defining their existences makes me think they weren't supposed to exist. Or at least, the ways they so significantly affected the world, weren't supposed to come to pass; Hextech, Viktor's Revolution, apocalypse. So while their ending breaks my heart into a million pieces, it makes a lot of sense. In order to cancel out what they'd do to the world (or just Piltover? this is another point I'm curious about, did viktor's revolution affect ALL of humanity?), they had to erase themselves from existence. It's so. romantic and tragic, but not really on both those counts? Like somehow deeper, too deep, to put such simple labels on. Honestly I don't even really know how to describe what their story makes me feel.
Bit of a tangent, but one interesting anomaly is the alt timeline Ekko was in. So Jinx would always be an important factor in Jayvik's fates since her attack almost killing Victor is the catalyst for a lot of things. Mage Victor says Jayce is the one thing across all timelines that could stop him, implying there are MANY timelines where Herald Viktor comes to be. Which thus means in all those timelines, Jinx is the unstable mess we know and love, the one who would attack the council. So that makes it interesting (and kinda gutting because its like Jinx is destined to suffer in most timelines) that Ekko's alt timeline was most likely rare in its stability, where despite Vi being gone, Powder is relatively happy and the world (Piltover/Zaun) is quite peaceful.
This is a seemingly random segueway, but Jayvik very strongly reminded me of the german show Dark. (WARNING FOLLOWING IS MAJOR SPOILER FOR THAT SHOW)
A completely different genre and story, but both are about two people whose destinies are so linked together throughout time and alternate universes, but weren't supposed to exist. And they could only save the world, allow it to go on untouched from the devastating effects they would have on it, by taking themselves out of the equation.

Howdy, I was wondering if you could do an eland x reader where you could do headcanons of them being parent If that's okay with you anyways have a lovely day
Hi there, thank you so much for sending! Love this cute idea. This ended up being about both pregnancy and parenthood, hope you don't mind! I got carried away lol.
It's not long after you and Eiland get married that you become pregnant. You two weren't really trying to prevent it from happening, totally open to the idea of raising a little one with such a beautiful community behind you and in such a beautiful place.
Elsie is the first one to realize that you were pregnant. Call it a sixth sense, but she pulls you aside after dinner at the manor one night and tells you that you have a special glow about you.
A few days later, Eiland wakes up to see you sick in the restroom and you go to Valen together to take a test.
When you two get the wonderful news, Eiland is nearly in tears and Valen has to hand him some tissues as he brings you into the deepest hug in the middle of the doctor's office.
Wanting to play it safe, you two only tell the immediate family at first. Adeline nearly screams with joy, while Elsie is happy but totally unsurprised.
The Baron and Baroness come all the way from the Capital to celebrate a new heir coming to the family. They shower you with lavish gifts and offer anything you could possibly want or need that wouldn't be readily available in Mistria.
They also offer to take you to a more well-known doctor in the Capital for your checkups, but you assure them that you have full confidence in Valen and know how much she cares about you, Eiland, and the little one.
Eiland dotes on you hand and foot during the pregnancy. He doesn't let you lift a finger, and is always concerned about your comfort. He'll spend any amount of money to make sure you have everything you need.
If he could, he'd keep you from working on the farm altogether and pay someone to help, but you insist that the exercise is good for you and the baby.
Eiland is so eager to impart all of his knowledge onto his child. He starts early by reading archeology books to the baby before you've even given birth. You don't mind, as it helps you fall asleep!
Eiland is incredibly compassionate to your pain as you carry the pregnancy. He'll massage your feet or rub oil on your stomach whenever you need.
When it's finally time for you to give birth, Eiland is supportive at each step and cries when the baby is finally put in your arms. You're so excited to see that the little one's hair is a beautiful shade of light pink, just like their father's.
Eiland is happy regardless of the gender of the baby. He just hopes that he can get them as excited in his interests as he is!
He'll happily give you breaks from taking care of the baby whenever you need a nap. He loves nothing more than sitting in a rocking chair with the baby close to his chest, while he reads some of his favorite books just as he did when they were still in your stomach.
He's an incredibly patient father. Raising his voice is just not something he's capable of doing, even when the baby begins to misbehave as they get older.
Honestly though, the baby would be quite well-mannered. They learn from the calm and studious nature of their father and aunt.
Eiland always wants to provide the best for his child and his wife, whether that means dressing you two in the finest clothing or assuring the baby receives the best education money can buy.
Eiland's favorite thing to do with his child is to take long walks through the museum, or to watch Errol work at the archeological dig site. By the time that baby is of speaking age, they can recite facts nearly as well as Eiland himself can!
You're surprised by how much the baby takes after their father. They eat up any sweets you make for them with equal enthusiasm as well.
When your little family visits the Capital, you love to tour the wonderful bakeries there and get so much joy from watching Eiland and your baby enjoy eating sweets together.
With Eiland as their father, the baby continues to grow up as a little intellectual, with a mild-mannered temperament, enthusiasm to learn about everything they can, and a kind heart.

Ranking Veilguard Companion Questlines:
This ranking is truly based off how much I enjoyed the questlines overall, not how much I like each character. I liked all the companions and overall liked their quests, but some really stood out to me more than others.
7. Neve
Neve was one of my favorite companions in terms of personality, and depending on the choices you make she can have a really interesting role in the endgame. However, her quests felt kind of bland and one note to me. Evil blood mages are kind of old hat in the DA games at this point, and Aelia just didn't really stand out from the crowd as a villain. There were some pretty gruesome moments in the final quest where Aelia is puppeting people, but overall I just didn't find these quests to be super memorable.
6. Harding
This one should probably be higher up the list just for its lore implications, but for some reason I just didn't feel all that engaged with her storyline. I guess I wanted a little more. Harding implies that she's struggling with her powers, but we're never really shown much of that, other than the fact that she has confusing dreams now. She talks about her anger in regards to the Titan revelation, but again, I think we needed more. She only really seems angry for brief moments here and there, which makes it a little hard to believe when her final choice is pretty much whether or not to hold onto her anger. She does talk about how she's kind of a people pleaser and likes to seem cheerful as a result, but if that's the case they still coild have done more with that.
5. Bellara
Going into this, I had to remind myself about some of the details of Bellara's storyline, because other than the situation with her brother I didn't immediately remember her plot. The problem I have with her story is that sometimes it feels like there are two separate issues at play, the Archive and her brother. They do end up being connected, but it feels kind of loose. Dealing with the feelings of betrayal and grief in regards to her brother did add an important emotional resonance to her story, so that helped rank her above some others. The choice you make in the end feels very meaningful in terms of the world, but we don't have the chance to see it play out in any meaningful way within the game. I would have liked to see a noticeable shift of some kind, at least in Veiljumper territory, based on Bellara's choice, but all we got is one moment in the finale where the game has to tell us we're seeing the results of her decision.
4. Lucanis
Lucanis's storyline had some pretty cool scenes. The Ossuary. Going into his own mind. Confronting Zara. But considering everything he has going on, at times his storyline seemed like it needed more fleshing out. This dude is a non-mage possessed by a demon. Is that ever really explained other than by the fact that Zara was just a freaky, evil experimenter? We've had so many characters in DA with absolutely nightmarish experiences with possession, and honestly everyone is just pretty cool with Lucanis and Spite just being a chill partnership, maybe because he's not a mage. I know there are comments about how people probably aren't actually cool with it, Lucanis says as much about the Crows in the end, but we don't really get to see that. It might have been interesting for there to be more tangible tension between Lucanis and those around him based on his demonic possession.
3. Taash
I really struggled with where to place Taash's questline, as some aspects felt quite weak and others felt deeply meaningful. In the end, I surprised myself by ranking them so high. When I immediately look back on their questlines, there doesn't seem to be a lot there. Taash hunts around for some dragons, has dinner with their mom, and finally in the end fights the Dragon King. Taash's story is perhaps less related to the overall plot of Veilguard than any other character but Emmrich, which didn't necessarily help. And though I find Taash's quest for identity to be an important one, it doesn't lend itself to the same kind of excitement as some of the others. Still, emotionally this series of quests ends up doing a lot of heavy lifting. Specifically, I found Taash's relationship with Shathann to lend a lot to their story. Even if you can't relate to Taash's struggles with gender or identity, almost everyone can relate to the struggle between a parent and a child. I was never quite sure what to think of Shathann. And I think that's very real. When I look at the parents of my friends and loved ones I often see the duality of everything they've done out of love for their children and everything they've done that has harmed them. At times I found Shathann to be caring and protective, at other times to be borderline abusive and too desiring of control over Taash's life. And though this situtaion might be extreme compared to many people's experiences with their parents, there's an almost innate toxicity to all parent child relationships at one point or another, as a child tries to grow in one direction that might not be what the parent wants or hopes. And I think these quests walk that thin line we all tread at one point or another in our lives, where you have someone that you love even when you feel that they don't deserve your love or deserve you, but you still can't help but care about them anyway. But in the end Taash does love their mother, and when Shathann dies Taash's rage feels very real, as does their entire relationship dynamic throughout the game.
2. Davrin
Davrin's story benefits from being perhaps more closely tied in to the world and the story of Veilguard than any other. The Grey Wardens and the Blight have always been central to DA, and only Origins has made them more central than Veilguard did. But Davrin and Assan really did steal my heart. At first, I didn't find Davrin to be especially exciting. He seemed like just another stoic warrior type. But the more time you spent with he and Assan and the other Wardens, the more you came to love him. The Gloom Howler storyline, along with the return of the griffons, was fascinating and the stakes felt extremely high. The stakes felt so high in fact that I often wondered how Davrin remained so calm as Rook paraded around the Necropolis Gardens or Arlathan while the Gloom Howler was off somewhere doing who knew what to the world's only family of griffons. The choice you made about the griffons was honestly the hardest in the game for me. Many of the other choices felt obvious from a typical heroic video game character sense of morality, where the game designers seem to want you to pick the happy, cheerful, forgiving route over any other. But the griffon choice had no obvious answer to a question I didn't even expect to be asked, and I stared at the screen for a while before I made it. My one problem with this is that it felt bizarre for Rook to even be making such a choice. And the other good thing about this quest is that at least you get to visit with the griffons a few times after the choice to get a little taste of how your choice is panning out. The interesting thing will be to see if this choice plays into any future DA stories and games.
1.Emmrich
All right, I can't even pretend to be unbiased here. If you scroll through my blog you will see countless Emmrich posts. This dude was my unexpected romance choice and my unexpected favorite companion in the game. He has interesting commentary in most situations, his voice acting is delightful, and he stands out as a fresh and unique character among many wonderful DA companions over the years. But this is supposed to be about his questline, not just how much I adore him. I've written extensively about my love for these quests elsewhere on my blog, but I'll restate the basics here. His questline had one major thing going for it from the very beginning, that being that we've heard much about the Mourn Watch and the Necropolis, but have never had the chance to experience any of it. I was immediately intrigued to learn more about them. I very much expect a certain dark and spooky vibe from Necromancers, but in many ways the Necromancers in this questline defy expectations. Yeah, they're still kind of weirdos who love everything to do with the dead, but Emmrich is a kind, compassionate weirdo and Hezenkoss is, despite being the villain, kind of just a dorky chick. And yet, somehow this makes her the best villain in the game. She's evil. She tortures souls. She wants to embody a giant skeleton and rule over Nevarra City as a giant, immortal skeleton queen. She wants to commit murders because her peers are too dull, too stupid, or have committed plagirism. She has weird little gestures she does as she discusses her evil plan. She uses overdramatic, stereotypical villain language like calling everyone "fools" and complaining about Emmrich's "sanctimonius bleating." She completely believes that Emmrich is the main character in this story, he must be because she believes herself to be the main villain. She's just as much of a nerd as Emmrich and equally as skilled, and in fact reflects quite poignantly the atrocities Emmrich could have committed if he wasn't so deeply compassionate. She's an extremely memorable villain compared to others in the companion quests (and even the main quest), and she's all the better because she helps define Emmrich that much more clearly, which is exactly the job of a good companion quest and a good villain. She's so good that she's even brought back to bicker with Emmrich from beyond death for the rest of the game. All that, and I haven't even touched on Emmrich's big choice. The lich choice is so effective because it forces Emmrich to confront his very clearly stated worst fear, death, which is doubly interesting considering his occupation. It's also such a good choice because it presents you with an immediate and tangible effect, unlike many other quests. Either you save Manfred and Emmrich remains mortal, or you lose Manfred and Emmrich transforms into an immortal skeleton. Either way, you're bound to notice and feel the difference. Even without a major main quest connection, this storyline was just so well done.

forget-me-not
San didn't typically have very many returning customers at his flower shop. He saw people once for proms, weddings, funerals, proposals, and Valentine’s Day, of course. Honestly, he liked it that way.
But he was back.
A man he had taken to calling That Guy, with mischievous eyes and a nose he weirdly had wanted to chomp on when he first saw him, had come back into the shop, asking for help with another bouquet.
He had come in a few weeks ago for the first time, asking for help to put together a bouquet for his date with, and he was quoting him now, “A very particular Virgo” who liked the color blue. San had helped him silently, arranging some hydrangeas, thistle, and lupine amongst some more neutral white flowers to balance it out. The man had overpaid in cash and didn't want change back, winking as he turned around and headed for the door.
San hadn't thought anything of it. That was, until That Guy had returned the next week, wanting help for, and he was quoting again, “A really odd but attractive Pisces who liked pink.”
That Guy had yapped mindlessly the whole time San picked out the flowers, listening intently the whole time as he talked about how the date last weekend had started off okay (he loved the flowers) but the guy hadn't wanted to go to the restaurant he had suggested, then complained about the restaurant he himself had chosen instead. “I think I need someone a little less particular.”
San nodded, “You seem to be a little more go with the flow.”
That Guy beamed at him, “I am! I'm pretty spontaneous.”
San tried to hand him change again, but That Guy refused again, so instead he just said, “Good luck tonight!” As That Guy walked out.
Today, That Guy hadn't even bothered to say hi, just immediately started rambling, “...He left through the bathroom window and then when I confronted him about it, he didn't even deny it! Just said he thought he saw a raccoon and wanted to see where it was going!”
San couldn’t help but laugh. That Guy gasped, offended, “Don't laugh at me-, wait, what's your name?”
San ducked his face behind a clump of sunflowers to hide his blush, “It’s San.”
“Don't laugh at me, San!” That Guy said, pouting.
“I'm sorry, but the raccoon thing is funny.” San defended himself.
That Guy's pout broke into a smile, “Okay, fine it's a little funny.” He reached out, parted the sunflower bunch to reveal San's face again, “I'm Wooyoung, by the way.” He extended his hand.
San switched the hand holding the flowers to shake Wooyoung’s.
“Wooyoung.” He repeated, thinking the name was cute and very fitting for the impish man, “Nice to meet you.”
“You, too. I love sunflowers! But this guy is an Aquarius who loves pastels.”
San nodded, “Okay, noted.” He smiled, staying professional, but unable to ignore the slight pang of jealousy at the mention of yet another date.
“A fellow Sagittarius! He likes light blue and yellow.” Wooyoung called as a means to announce his presence in the flower shop.
San popped up from behind the counter, “No luck with the pastel lover? Were the tulips too bright?”
Wooyoung sighed dramatically, “No, the flowers were perfect. They always love the flowers. I'm starting to think I'm the problem.”
San smiled sympathetically, “I highly doubt that, Wooyoung. You seem very likeable.”
Wooyoung quirked an eyebrow, “What would you know, flower boy?” He teased.
San rolled his eyes, “I'm very observant, thank you.”
Wooyoung studied him a minute more, “Okay, fine, you’re right,” he beamed, “I am very likeable!”
San just laughed and walked around the countertop to start finding flowers for the newest bouquet. He didn’t find what he was searching for though, “Actually, I think I have the perfect thing in the back, wanna come see the cooler?” He asked before he could think better of it.
Wooyoung didn’t hesitate, “Of course!”
San grabbed his jacket off the hook by the door, “Here, you’ll need this.” He said, handing it to him before opening the door to the large refrigerated room.
Wooyoung followed him closely as he walked around, looking for what he had gone back there for, finally spotting them in a corner, “There they are!” He approached the bundle of primroses that he had just gotten delivered. Wooyoung had been so close to him when he stopped that he ended up almost against San’s back, his chin hooking over his shoulder to get a closer look at the flowers, shivering in the chilled air. San tensed at the contact, but Wooyoung just leaned into him more, apologizing, “Sorry, I’m still cold, even with the jacket.”
San felt heat creep up his neck and was sure the tips of his ears were red as he mumbled, “It’s fine.”
Wooyoung stepped back abruptly, announcing, “Those are perfect!”
They picked out a few more flowers to accompany them, then the rest of the interaction was the same as the other times: overpaying (but their hands brushed at the exchange of the cash this time) and best wishes (but Wooyoung’s eyes lingered on San’s this time).
San couldn’t help but secretly hope the date wouldn’t go well.
He didn't, however, expect to have his wish granted.
Wooyoung looked sad as he entered the shop a few weeks later, didn’t even say hi, just walked around the counter like he owned the place and hugged San out of nowhere, head dropping to his shoulder defeatedly. San hesitated, then returned the hug, patting the man on the back to comfort him.
“I’m getting tired of this, Sannie,” Wooyoung mumbled into San’s shirt.
Alright, I guess we’re using nicknames now, San thought to himself, “What happened?” He asked.
Wooyoung sighed, “We saw each other for a few weeks but. I don’t know. We might have been too similar? Also I think maybe he was into someone else. Kept mentioning some guy who oddly sounded really similar to someone I went on a date with a while back? I don’t know. I’m just frustrated.”
San pulled back, “Why are you so determined?”
“I don’t know,” Wooyoung shrugged, “I just really like love and all my friends are in relationships. And someone broke my stupid heart last year and I don’t know, I’m ready to get back out there. Maybe I’m just jealous. I know I’d be such a good boyfriend but no one will let me!”
San had to swallow his laughter, trying to take it seriously, but Wooyoung was very funny and it was making things hard, “I can see it, hell, I’d be all about you if you got me flowers. I guess some people just aren’t as romantic. I’m sure the perfect person is out there for you though.”
The glint in Wooyoung’s eyes was magnetic, “Oh you’d be all about it, huh, flower boy?” He poked San in the chest, “I’ll have to remember that, in case this date goes poorly.” He winked.
San knew he was joking, no one was interested in the weird guy who was too into flowers and whose only friend was his cat. But his heart rate picked up at the mention of it, nonetheless.
“Who are you buying for today?” He asked, changing the subject.
“A Leo who likes blues and greens and bluish greens and greenish blues, probably.” Wooyoung said, all in a rush with no breath in between.
San smiled, nodding, “Got it.”
As he checked Wooyoung out this time, he gathered all his bravery and wrote his phone number on one of the blank flower tags he kept behind the countertop for people who wanted to leave a note saying who the flowers were from. He handed it to Wooyoung and said, “Here, in case your date goes poorly and ditches you in public again. Or if you drink too much and need a ride home. Just give me a call.”
Wooyoung broke into the prettiest smile San thought he had ever seen on someone before, giggling as he put the card carefully into his wallet, “Oh, I’ll definitely hang onto this. Especially with how things have been going lately.”
He handed San too much money yet again, “Keep the change,” He winked over his shoulder, opened the door, then looked back at San, his eyes trailing down San’s body, then up again, easy to miss if one wasn’t watching closely. San was frozen to the spot, and before he could even breathe about it, Wooyoung was out the door.
San closed up the shop like normal, then made the trek up the stairs to his studio apartment above it. He made dinner, fed Byeol (his cat), and showered like always, tucked himself into his favorite blanket on the couch, then turned on the anime he had seen a thousand times, scrolling through his phone absentmindedly as the show played, Byeol finding her favorite spot on the back of the couch by his head.
Two episodes in, he got a text from a number he didn’t have saved.
No Name
didn’t expect to take you up on this but i got stood up and i really like this bar and don’t want to go home
this is wooyoung btw
do u wanna come get a drink?
San looked at Byeol, “What do you think? I probably shouldn’t go, right? I mean I’m already in my sweatpants.”
She stared at him blankly.
“Oh, who am I kidding, I’m literally debating this with a cat. Fine. You win!” He scratched behind her ears and kissed her right in the middle of her forehead, the affection met with loud purring.
The bar was pretty cool, he had to admit. He also didn’t get out much, so he didn’t have much to compare it to, but he liked the vintage vibes, and there was an impressive vinyl collection, as well as a dj who was playing some cool jazz mixes. It definitely felt like somewhere Wooyoung would like, though he knew very little about the man.
“Sannie!” Wooyoung said loudly, an already empty cocktail glass in front of him. “You’re here!” He kissed him on the cheek excitedly. San blushed, not used to someone being so openly affectionate, but definitely not minding it.
“I’m here!” San said, “I have to warn you, I’m a bit of a lightweight."
Wooyoung giggled, “That seems surprising! I mean, you’re all-,” he puffed out his chest and flexed his arm muscles, a reference to San’s build. He did spend quite a bit of his free time at the gym, “-and stuff. But no worries! I’m just glad for the company.”
The bartender stopped by to take their drink orders, San opting for something alcoholic against his better judgment. But screw it. He never went out like this.
San smiled, “Thanks for inviting me. I need to get out more. I pretty much just hang out at home with Byeol.”
Wooyoung’s face fell, “Oh. Your partner.” He said it like it was a fact.
San’s brain buffered for a second as he processed what Wooyoung had said, “My-? What? Oh, no, sorry! Byeol is-” He laughed, “She’s my cat!”
“You have a cat?!” Wooyoung was back to being happy, “I’ve got to meet her! I love cats but my landlord doesn’t allow any animals.”
“She would probably like that,” San smirked, “She probably gets sick of just seeing me.”
"You don’t get out much?” Wooyoung elbowed him.
San rolled his eyes, “Not everyone has an intensely packed social calendar like you, Wooyo.”
The nickname slipped out, his tongue loose from the bourbon in his cocktail.
Wooyoung shoved his arm, “Oh, shut up. For that, you have to buy us some shots.”
San was already feeling the buzz but who was he to say no to Wooyoung? The man was so enticing, his eyes sultry without even trying, his demeanor playful. He marveled at the fact that none of the dates he had gone on had stuck.
Their tequila shots came and they cheers’d, Wooyoung making pointed eye contact as he licked the salt off the rim of his shot glass. San felt heat swirl in his abdomen, his senses suddenly piqued with interest. The tequila went back smooth, and San could already feel his face starting to flush.
Wooyoung studied him, “So, were you insinuating that you’re alone a lot? Why is that? You seem very likeable.” He quoted San back to himself.
San couldn’t help but smile at it, “My friends moved away for college and I stayed here. They come to visit, but it’s not the same. I took over the flower shop from my mom straight out of high school. Got my bachelors degree online. Haven’t had time since then to really get out and about. Once I got on steady footing, it felt like the world had kinda passed me by, everyone my age already had friends, partners.” He shrugged, “Sorry, I don’t ever really talk about it, I’m probably oversharing.”
Wooyoung smiled warmly, placing a hand on his knee, “It’s okay, I don’t mind, plus, I asked. I like learning about you.”
San didn’t know what to say because he was embarrassed at being noticed, observed “I want to hear more about you, though.”
They were interrupted briefly by the bartender bringing them another round of drinks. San knew he should slow down, but he was having too much fun.
“About me?” Wooyoung asked rhetorically, “Well besides being horrible at love, apparently, I’m a barista. I do photography for fun, and I’ve been learning guitar recently. I read a whole lot, probably why I’m such a hopeless romantic, and I also like to cook.”
“You should try being a hopeful romantic, instead.” San said, giggling at his own joke.
Wooyoung looked at him disbelievingly, “You are a lightweight, oh my god! That wasn’t even funny, why are you laughing?” He poked him in the side, earning more laughter, “Sannie! Stop laughing!”
San couldn’t stop laughing now, he hiccuped, “I can’t!”
The hiccup sent Wooyoung over the edge, too, laughter peeling out, and his silly high-pitched laugh just about took San out, doubling over, his abs already in pain from the effort.
Wooyoung composed himself, patting San on the back, “Come on, I’ll walk you home. Do you live close by?”
San managed to nod and answer, “I live above my shop, it’s just a few blocks. Oh! You’ve been to my shop! You’ve pretty much been to my house! Wooyoung at my house! How silly.” He was babbling.
Wooyoung paid the tab, overpaying as always, and ducked underneath San’s arm to help him stand up, “Okay drunky, let’s go.”
San looked at him as they exited the bar, “You’re so pretty.” He sighed, noticing that Wooyoung was blushing and having a hard time containing his smile.
“No, flower boy, you’re pretty.” He corrected.
“We’re both pretty.” San concluded.
They stumbled into San’s apartment and he was vaguely aware of Wooyoung getting him water and doing goofy baby talk to Byeol in the other room as he drifted off to sleep in his bed.
He woke up the next day with a horrible headache, an even worse taste in his mouth, and a dead phone. He plugged his phone in, showered and brushed his teeth while it charged. He turned it on to find new texts from earlier in the morning.
Wooyoung
hope ur hangover isn’t too bad
i had fun anyway
thank u xx
He was embarrassed, but also very happy that Wooyoung had messaged him, despite how fast he had gotten drunk and needed to go home last night.
Me
It is not the worst. Still a hangover.
Thanks for taking care of me.
Also, sorry, lol
I had fun, too.
It was almost two months before San saw or heard from Wooyoung again. He didn’t really know protocol, so he didn’t reach out and they never continued texting after that night. Last week he had stopped being hopeful, ready to take the defeat and continue on in his lonely ways. He had moped around the whole time, and Byeol had been even more affectionate lately, noticing his distress.
But now here Wooyoung was, waltzing in like nothing had changed.
“What are your favorite flowers, San?” Wooyoung announced his presence in the shop.
“Mine?” San asked, unsure if he had heard the man right.
“Yes,” Wooyoung nodded, “I keep going off of what all these other people like and I’m starting to think I need a change of game plan.”
Oh. So he was going on another date. And wanted San’s favorite flowers. For someone else.
San’s spirits sank, but he decided to help Wooyoung anyway. It’s not like the guy owed him anything. They had hung out once. He never should have assumed the crush would be anything but one-sided.
Wooyoung stayed at the counter as San built his bouquet this time instead of following him around like he had historically.
“... and I also really love these.” He said as he added the last flowers to the bouquet. They were small, delicate and light blue with yellow centers.
“What are those?” Wooyoung asked, “I like them.”
“Forget-me-nots.” San provided.
“I could never forget you, San.” Wooyoung winked. He overpaid and left.
San sighed, finishing up some tasks before starting to close down the shop.
He went upstairs and had just finished feeding Byeol when he heard the doorbell ring downstairs.
Weird.
He went to investigate.
Wooyoung was standing there, wearing a much nicer outfit than normal, holding the very bouquet San had made for him earlier. Must have forgotten something on his way to his date, who knew.
San opened the door, “Wooyoung?”
Wooyoung extended the flowers to him, “San, will you go on a real date with me?”
Oh. Oh.
“Me?” He asked, still in disbelief.
Wooyoung slapped his arm playfully, “Of course you, who else?”
“I don’t know!” San was confused, “I didn’t hear from you for almost two months, I’m lost here.”
Wooyoung looked at him sheepishly, “Oh. Yeah, I know. I’m sorry about that.” He sighed, “It’s because I kinda had an entire existential crisis because, well,” He took a step closer and San moved back so he could come inside and close the door behind him, reaching around Wooyoung to lock it, landing them standing closer than ever before, the air between them feeling electric. Wooyoung continued, “Because I actually really like you.” He looked him in the eye, “I’ve had a big crush on you since I first started coming in, actually.” He blushed, “I was going on those dates because I thought I was ready to get back out there, but I wasn’t. I had a pretty bad breakup last year… more on that later. But point being, liking you scared me.” He reached up a hand, caressing San’s cheek gently, testing the waters.
San leaned into it, “I have a secret crush on you, too.” He set the flowers down on the little table by the door, deciding Wooyoung’s waist should occupy his hand instead.
“You do?” Wooyoung’s eyelids fluttered.
San could feel his heart rate pick up as he glanced at Wooyoung’s beautiful lips, so close to his own, “I really do. Can I please do something about it now?”
Wooyoung answered by closing the gap, lips eagerly meeting San’s.
They fit together remarkably well, their pace matching perfectly, Wooyoung’s tongue soon finding its way into San’s mouth, exploring, both of them moaning at the sensation.
San pulled back despite how badly every muscle in his body screamed at him not to, “So, that date?” He asked.
“Fuck the date, let’s go upstairs.” Wooyoung requested.
Fuck the date, indeed.
Wooyoung was so reactive, and vocal. God was he vocal. It was incredible. Laid out underneath San, warm and tight as San had ever felt anyone, panting, both of them nearing their release.
“Go ahead, baby, I’ve got you,” San cooed in Wooyoung’s ear.
That was all it took.
Wooyoung insisted on riding him afterwards, so that San could chase his own release as well, collapsing on San’s broad chest after he dismounted.
“That was-” He started.
“Yeah.” Wooyoung finished, “We should-”
“Oh, definitely.”
They showered, only for San to find himself unable to resist going down on Wooyoung in the shower.
Once finally clean, they managed to get it together long enough to get dressed and finally go on that date.
And they never stopped, but they took it slowly after that, San knowing that Wooyoung needed time given how his last relationship had ended. So, San had shown up to Wooyoung’s coffee shop the next week with a bouquet of sunflowers and forget-me-nots, (alongside other flowers he had remembered him being keen towards throughout his trips to the shop), and asked him on a date that time. He built his trust by staying consistent and being intentional. Never making Wooyoung guess if the feelings were mutual.
They went back and forth like that for almost three months until finally, cuddled together in San’s bed post-date, he looked at Wooyoung and just knew . He was in love.
“Youngie?” He said, stroking his hair.
“Yeah?” Wooyoung answered, looking up from his spot, as he was using San’s chest as a pillow.
San kissed his forehead, “I love you.” He whispered, heart beating fast in his chest at the vulnerability.
Wooyoung sat up, tossing a leg over San’s hips, leaning down to kiss him, “I love you, too, Sannie.” He kissed him again, “So much, baby.” Another kiss, “My beautiful flower boy.”
San felt like he could fly. Turns out, he really liked having a returning customer.

dude it's like you and I shARE THE SAME BRAIN LIKENASKJAMA AHHHHHHH
I have already gathered so many other headcanons about them and even a possible scenerio/fic type of deal, but I shall save those for another time
Anyway, the main deal about these two is that as much as they liked to pretend, they don't actually love each other. Main reason, they are at a point in their lives where they aren't capable of it. Sentinel cause he's looking out for #1. White because she doesn't have the experience, knowledge, or probably even the ability to love in the way necessary for a functional and fulfilling romantic relationship.
What the two see in each other isn't someone they would want to spend the rest of their immortal lives with. Hell, they don't even like each other most of the time. They just see each other as a way to boost their own egos and prove to themselves their inherent superiority. Sentinel is very aware that he only sees White as an item to bolster his status, especially when he has to legitimize his rule after betraying the Primes. However, he can't help expressing fondness for her, even if it's only when she does or says something that makes him look good in front of the populous. White, however, genuinely believes she loves Sentinel. Her love language is bringing out the best in people by correcting what she believes to be their flaws. This is what she did with The Diamonds, especially Pink, and it's what she'll do with Sentinel. She knows the way she treated them was wrong and that this exact habit of hers is what led to Pink running away. This is why instead of fixating on Sentinel's flaws, as you said, she'll instead shower him with compliments and encourage the behaviors she believes is good. She doesn't at all see how this isn't better. She's doing the same thing again in a different coat of shiny paint, but hasn't yet introspected and noticed this. So she keeps on, even when it drives Sentinel to madness and brings out the worst in White.
When you mentioned that she "proved herself to be terrifying when mad," I immediately thought about a scenario where they're arguing as usual, Sentinel is fed up with White's "critiques" while White is acting like the bigger person and speaking to him like a detached, observant therapist who is only missing a writing pad and a pen. Sentinel in his foolish hubris goes for a cheap shot, maybe pointing out that she failed her own family. White in what feels like an instant, her face goes completely red and she unleashes her temper in one fit of rage. She goes off the deep end and woaaaaah the look on Sentinel's face would be priceless! Her booming voice echoing off the walls, her stomping the floor so hard as she paces around the room making it shake like an earthquake (cyberquake?). Honestly the poor bot would be knocked over by the force of White's scolding alone and she'd still keep going. Once she's done, she'd go back to being calm like nothing happened and she'd go "Whoops, hehe, sorry you had to see me like that. What I meant was I thoroughly understand you and acknowledge your input. However, my dear, I strongly disagree. I still respect you and what you have to say. I didn't spook you too much, did I?" And Sentinel is trembling as he slides himself off the floor using the wall like "Oh, nah, I'm fine, totally ok, yup, great discussion there, haha, but i got a meeting to go to so im going to go like now" and once he's back on his pedes he books it out of the room. Sentinel makes a mental note to never piss her off that badly again. White Diamond continues on as if she didn't just scold her boyfriend like an impudent child.
On a more wholesome note, YES YES DOUBLE DECKER YES to Sentinel taking White Diamond to the surface of Cybertron! She asks many questions about it, some he doesn't provide answers to for classified reasons. Speaking of classified reasons, Sentinel always has Airachnid and his drones accompany them in secret to notify him when Quintessons are near and to help him steer her clear of anything incriminating. As she enjoys the view, White laments how in her empire's conquest to spread her view of perfection, she destroyed so many beautiful sights like the one she sees on Cybertron. Sentinel tries to cheer her up by telling her the planets after being colonized by gems must look just as wonderful, if not more, than the way they did before. She just says she appreciates his attempts at comfort, but she says she's learned better than to find beauty in the destruction of life. Sentinel rolls his eyes. I bet in White's attempts to come off as humble, she frequently dismisses or shuts down Sentinel's compliments, especially in regards to her past or the parts of herself she believes are flaws.
But yea on the more silly side I find it so funny how their attraction to each other supercedes their incompatiblity. Like "This glitch/clod is annoying but at least she/he is hot" LMAO. The only time they seem to be at their most functional is when they're chilling together in silence.
Back with more White Diamond x Sentinel Prime crackship nonsense baby!!!
Ever since I first thought about these goobers, I haven't known a single day of peace (mostly cause the ideas are just racking around in my brain)
So here's a list of headcanons I came up with for Prime Diamond! If you have any questions regarding this ship, my ask box is open. Double if you have any thoughts or anything to add, go on ahead! I hope y'all enjoy!
I may make a part 2 when I come up with more lol
For this relationship to even be possible (as possible as a crackship between two characters from completely different franchises can be), it will have to take place Post-Steven Universe Finale/Future when White Diamond is in her therapy, self-help guru era. And when Sentinel Prime is... alive.
Also, I have been trying to do research regarding this but since the results are so inconsistent, I'm gonna assume White Diamond is around 80 to 90 ft tall and Sentinel is around 60 (based on how he's double Orion Pax's height and apparently TF One Orion is around 33 ft tall). If you know their actual canonical heights or anything close to that, please lemme know!
As mentioned in a reblog, White Diamond would take an interest in Sentinel Prime as a sort of little DIY project. Though he tries to hide it, White with her supernatural intuitiveness can tell there's more to him than meets the eye (he's an asshole). Having been inspired by Steven to see the worth and beauty in imperfections, she wants to give someone like Sentinel a chance like Steven did for her. Though she is making genuine strides to improve upon her previous controlling and obsessive behavior regarding perfection, this aspect of her will resurface in her attempts "fix" Sentinel while in a relationship with him. She adores and finds much interest in his "positive imperfections," but helping him improve on his more negative ones wouldn't hurt, right?
Other reasons she developed an attraction to him is for the same reason all the Sentinel fangirls did: he's just so... pathetic. When he tries to impress her with stories of battles he's never fought in and gives her a tour of his treasure room full of artifacts he didn't discover, she can tell he's trying way too hard to impress her. She finds this cute and charming rather than douchey and desperate.
Sentinel Prime pursued her because, as stated in a previous reblog, "his diva ass was always going to try and seek out a gem fit for a king." He laid his eyes on an 80-90 ft giant alien rock woman and thought,"I need her." As any sane person would. She was supposed to be nothing more than another symbol of wealth for him to show off to the other elites and officials of Iacon City to further cement the royal image he works so hard to maintain. He definitely underestimated how overwhelming White Diamond can be, and I am not just referring to her height.
Sentinel would rather have his spark be extinguished than admit to this, but his stabilizing servos get wobbly at the idea of his alien girlfriend being so much taller than he is. His pride would never admit to this, nor would it accept someone taller than him accompanying him. He believes that as a "Prime," he is supposed to be much taller, bigger, and more imposing than those around them.
Whenever they make a public appearance, Sentinel insists that White shrink herself to a height more tolerable for his fragile ego. He bullshits an excuse about their buildings not being designed for a being as tall as she is. White obliges, but given how Iacon was built when the previous actual Primes were all gigantic and alive, she quickly figures his lie and confronts him about it. He'd just lie again and say he didn't want the other Cybertronians to be intimidated... by her beauty. Clearly, it's not because of some Napolean complex or something. Still, White in her patience era takes the compliment for what it is.
The "guy who doesn't like speeches" vs. "professional yapper" isn't a joke. Sentinel can't stand how much White Diamond loves to yap. She's the kind of person to have thoughts and opinions about anything and everything. Given that she doesn't breathe, she doesn't even need to catch her breath in the middle of speaking, so she can go on and on and on, much to Sentinel's annoyance.
He tries to get her to quiet down at times, but as White tends to do, she either doesn't hear him or straight up ignores him. Her monologuing, along with her height and just how shiny she is, is very overwhelming for Sentinel at times. The only good thing he finds about this aspect of his sweetspark is when she dotes on him and showers him with compliments and attention. As if a attention hungry fame whore needed any more of it.
Sentinel even allows White to indulge in her psychoanalysis, playing up the whole "tragic hero whose brothers and sisters perished in battle and now has to face the pain and weight of protecting his people alone" that she eats up. White does sometimes hit dangerously close to home, so Sentinel shuts her down before she could dig straight to bedrock and uncover the more unfavorable parts of himself he wants to stay hidden.
Speaking of staying hidden, the way White carries herself in public makes Sentinel was to keep her locked away in a jewelry box. White is excellent when it comes to using her words to inflict psychic damage or to build someone up. When it comes to social situations where charisma, relatability, and poise are needed, this is when White is at her most alien. She is not the most socially adjusted given that prior to the finale, she spent thousands of years hidden away in a world of her own delusions. She doesn't have much of a filter, something she has been working on to avoid upsetting offending others.
She has the habit of pointing out any interesting thing that catches her eye, especially about people, whether or not it's positive or negative. This has led to her unsettling the bots at best or offending them at worst. Sentinel then has to come in and use his charisma to difuse the situation and paint her behavior in a more positive light. Only for White to turn around and ask everyone if they ever noticed how Sentinel's wings move in accordance to his mood and how adorable it is. Everyone laughs. Sentinel is thoroughly pissed.
Sentinel definitely has more relationship experience than White Diamond. All of her knowledge comes from what she's heard from the gems that come to her for her advice or from that human show the little green Crystal Gem recommended (she can't remember her name). In her attempts to emulate the behavior of what she's heard of and observed, she ends up coming off as cringe at best or detached from reality. At certain points of the relationship, she even imposes certain "deadlines" on courtship behaviors she expects from Sentinel. All his previous relationships were private, casual flings. He only made this one public because bagging a bad bitch like White Diamond is an accomplishment he felt he had to show off.
This may come to bite him in the aft when her radiance catches the attention of other bots. On these occasions, he acts possessive and showers her with attention, gifts, and affection. He tells himself and Airachnid it's because he doesn't want her to outshine him in the eyes of the public. In reality, he gets jealous and doesn't want to lose her interest and, most importantly, her attention. As overwhelming and embarrassing as she can get, a twisted part of him really craves her attention.
In private, Sentinel can flip flop greatly in how he treats White. On some days he leans on her for support and wants her to pet his wings while he vents about all the dumb, annoying bots he has to fraternize with and all the boring meetings he has to attend. White occasionally interrupts him with advice or her own views on the situation, which frustrates Sentinel. On other days, he's completely detached, not even bothering to give her the time of day. He is at his most consistently sweet and romantic when they're both in the public eye, performing grand gestures of love. This intensifies when they're on camera.
They present themselves as THE Iacon couple, but Sentinel and White argue a lot about pretty much anything. More often than not, White is trying to advise him on how to improve himself and his city, and Sentinel kindly tells her to shut up and mind her own business.
They are both very prideful people who can't accept when they are wrong. White is more willing than Sentinel to admit to it and compromise. If she believes she is 100% in the right, she won't go down without a verbal fight. She has yet to figure out how to properly counter Sentinel's "NUH UH!" though. She believes this is normal and healthy as she hears time and time again how arguments are a sign of a functional relationship. White knows how in the past she never allowed anyone to express their grievances or criticize her. If they did, she'd twist their words to further force her own viewpoint or take control over their mind and body. Seeing Sentinel passionately argue back while White practices her listening skills and only sometimes speaks over him gives her hope that she isn't regressing back to her previous toxicity. No one has told her that disagreements are healthy and normal, but frequent fights and arguments are not. And the kind of hellish circles these two go in just ain't it

The phrase 'to carry a child' is to me such an unbearably tender description. You're carrying it? Nurturing and protecting it? Freely giving it what it needs until it is ready for birth? 'Going to have a baby' speaks of the hope of promise, but 'carrying a baby' gives the same implication to me, only with an added beauty of what is happening immediately as well as the future.
#midwifery#i just i have so many feelings about pregnancy and babies and women and motherhood#and i want it#i unironically think 'this would fix me' about certain things#like one of the things we get taught about is how to approach and what to avoid when dealing (specifically antenatally tho we'll go into it#more when we learn specifically about postnatal care which is next semester) with women with a history of eating disorders#specifically anorexia but also any other one. obvs yo ube more careful around weight and potentially watch her more closely because#pregnancy can trigger relapses for obvious reasons#but also there are plenty of cases where pregnancy helps#in some cases it is literally what helps them to recover from an active eating disorder#i don't know the intersection between pregnancy and eating disorders is so interesting to me#honestly if i were to go into research in any way that would probably be my preferred field of research#there are many things that make me go absolutely feral and midwifery is a field that does that to me so much

Hello! Very random and no worries if that's not your intention for the blog, but I love reading about your teacher experience and insights! Take this ask more so as encouragement to write more about it if you feel like it, because I'm going to start teaching soon (and yes, many people I've met have warned me about both its miracles and horrors lol) and it's really helpful to hear others' experiences :)
Thanks for the ask! Honestly I'm just a first year, so I don't have a tonnnn of advice to give. But here's a few general first year tips from one to a future another:
1 — No matter what, having a good department team is ESSENTIAL. You're going to be relying on them a lot your first year for help, advice, curriculum stuff, behavioral management stuff, etc. Talk to them, get to know them, have lunch with them, share issues/seek advice from them. You're going to encounter situations that your degree did not prepare you for (likely, in the first week lol. For me, it was Day 1) and having people around to help you judgement free is going to be crucial. I was super lucky that my department team and all the teachers from other departments that I work closely with are really amazing, easy to work with, etc.
2 — You're also going to want a good relationship with the "other" departments. The library staff, tech staff, sped department, guidance, janitors, etc. They're all lovely people, so don't be afraid to pop in to introduce yourself on the first week!
3 — Crazy things are going to happen. Like....all the time. Don't bring them home with you. As soon as you exit the doors, shake it off. All your students made it on the bus to their parents alive, so it's fine. Your job is done for the day. I've been going to the gym a lot right from school, and it's been really helpful to prevent myself from taking anything home with me so to speak.
4 — Document, document, document. Did something happen? Document it, email a copy to whoever's applicable: admin, guidance, sped, BCBA, etc. "Hello, just emailing a summary of what happened today" is not an uncommon email for me to send out. If an IEP isn't working, well at the next IEP meeting it shows they have 10 emails in the last month from you about little Timmy's hourly verbal threats and attempted physical violence to his classmates, so maybe the BCBA needs to do some data collection to adjust his BIP, or they need to give him a 1-1, or give him more resource intervention, etc.
5 — This isn't so much of advice, more like reassurance. The small moments when it clicks for a student and they get something, and then the confidence and excitement shows, it's really the best. That's probably why I've fallen so in love with working where I did. The other day, after weeks of struggling to help this student with Downs with his math, I tried a totally different approach based off a few example problems I saw in a math intervention workbook and hOLY HELL IT WORKED. It totally clicked for him, and the kid was so excited to do a problem out on the board for the class. It was amazing. Another student with an LD who I've been helping heavily school aced a quiz in one of her classes and legit ran into the room to show me. Cue me literally jumping out of my chair to high-five her, and her calling her parents to deliver the good news. Like, little things like that are really really special, and they're going to mean so much to you. And I hope you get to experience LOTS of them too!
#ask#not dp related#teaching#it's a great career but it can be stressful if you don't have other outlets#having lots of hobbies outside of school has helped prevent burnout significantly#i also do gig work in my other career outside of school#which has been another great outlet!#i have ppl i work with who i can see are reaching burnout now#and being in a place where you dread going to work every day is both not good for your mental health#and also isn't good for the kids you're working with#so preventing that is honestly key#i'd like to think that it's because i haven't been afraid to rely on those around me for help when i need it has been a huge factor#if something happened i have a few veteran teachers who have kinda taken the mentor role on me that i can go to#and when they need a judgement-free listening ear im open to be that person for them as well#i've also gotten to know some ppl in other departments pretty well#which is helpful when i'm struggling with a specific student#i can go to one of their other teachers and see how it's going in their classes#compare notes and whatnot

"Apparently a return of true royalty~" Phoebus said as he was swinging his sword skilfully to red of the shard demons, and then hummed while letting out a breath, "And there are forces that are preventing them from coming to where they belong."
"Don't get distracted, Captain Sun God~" Jasmine was flipping and jumping like a speedy rabbit at how she was taking down monster after monster, using parkour and a lot of her weapon in the air. She landed gracefully on the ground and then stood up, some black goop from the monsters stained her face, "After all, I have a feeling their boss is nearby controlling them..."
Phoebus frowned as he was then nodding, "Right..."
It was then Phoebus saw how Sano and Hak were finishing up the fight and then placed his sword away, knowing that the battle was over with. But now they have to sniff out the rat that brought these monsters in the first place.
As that was going on, Hime watched Prince Dantè with wide eyes, her eyes suddenly sparked in gold but it was gone as soon as it came. But she nodded and soon rushed in the portal and both Amiboshi and Maria followed. Bambi was the last to go in, but let out a loud cry of pain when one of the dying shards aimed it's claws as a last act before it was killed...
"BAMBI!" Hime yelled when the buck stumbled out and fell to the ground, seeing the blackening veins appearing on the hind legs of her companion, "No, no, no, no--"
"Princess--" Amiboshi skidded to his knees and checked over the creature, his eyes softening before looking at Maria, "Lady--"
"I'm on it!" Maria was quick to place her hands above her hands over the deer's legs and tried to extract the cursed wounds and heal him, closing her eyes as her hands started to glow.
Hime hiccuped with tears as she placed Bambi's head onto her lap carefully, stroking his head as his breathing seemed to be too low and slowing, and she tried to comfort him, "Please don't go, please!"
"Considering Faith is trying to take advantage of Zen, there's no doubt that she might also try to take him out for power as soon as his uses are up," Edward hummed as he was leaning back in his chair before breathing out, "What sort of hold does she have on him?"
"Maybe the promise of finding Shirayuki and Obi's souls without going through Truth and it's Law of Equivalent Exchange...?"
Edward sat up for a moment with wide eyes as he looked to his brother, then he shook his head with a scoff, "Doubt. There's no way that woman would be stupid enough to dangle the impossible. Even if she managed to help Zen revive a few, but that's mostly because of some loopholes. Zen would have to give up something greater than himself to bring back people personally for his own gain..."
"...Unless he has a Holy person. Like a Saintess." Alphonse pointed out as he looked to the Council, "I've heard the rumours. That there is indeed a woman of that title going around Kingdoms. And Zen will be definitely interested..."
"Okay, you didn't tell me that during your solo-patrol," Edward narrowed his eyes at Alphonse, who shrugged.
"I didn't think of it important...at first," Alphonse murmured before he had a serious look on his face, "That was until I got realiable news from one of our own, they witness her revive an army from a small country before their very eyes..."
Milo hummed as he was skimming through the shelves but then glanced up at the other before turning to Wěi qí, "While I can read to my hearts content, there are just some that I cannot be allowed to touch. Which, I respect..."
It was then he sat himself down comfortably in the couch, and gestured for Wěi qí to sit by him, "So...how are you?"
Davion looked at the pictures and his eyes watered and he let out a slight sob. Gods, he has truly missed so much. The fact that he sees the kids, grown up and there are others that were tenderly loved and cared for by his two soulmates...it honestly was a sight.
And he was not in it.
He leaned against Beelzebub and took a breath, just letting out his silent cry of missing everything, and that he was glad to be alive once more. Never again will I lose anyone or lose myself...
"Let the White King try, Ed. Doing so would mean to undo the seal, and we all know that our Emperor has been eager to set us free once again." Carmen reminded the alchemist. "Investigating us would also be pointless, as the same issue would arise."
Iago seconded that, but he also admitted that they can't put anything past Zen. "So I vote we take caution, Carmen. Better to side on that and ensure that our Emperor doesn't lose Davion again." "Agreed, Iago. None of us desire to see our Emperor lose one of his loves." Carmen replied and gave a nod before the next subject came about: what else the Elric Brothers learned.
One of the other females, a dark elf, asked if Ed heard from their little spy within the walls. "Lord Typhon has pointed out that with Faith making herself comfortable by the White King's side, then we should be prepared for anything that damned Bitch throws our way."
Citalee and the others agreed before letting the brothers take their stand.
Laughing at Eric's cute and obvious crush on his nephews, Wěi qí waved as the fallen prince headed back to where the boys were. "That'll help soothe Yun's worry." He added with a soft giggle. Sometimes, he wondered if-ah, well, that would come sooner than he expected. "Ah, young love."
Letting Milo inside, he chuckled and nodded at his question. "Yun did say that you have access to the entire library." With the extracted promise that Milo would not read anything aloud lest he was told that the book he may have is safe.
Wěi qí led Milo to the area he had been in, which had their tea and snacks waiting. And yes, it had the books that he loved to read in this area.
Back with Davion, Beelzebub smiled and set his glass aside before hugging the dragon knight. "Oh Baby, that ain't wishful thinking...it's sweet." The demon king replied as he shed a few tears. "Losin' you took a toll on both of us. And the kids."
He summoned a family photo showing Davion, the five boys who were the dragon knight's sons. Stephan had grown into a confident, if not mischievous, tide dragon, Li hanging off of him and appearing just as innocent as ever. But the trio that Davion had yet to meet were none other than Onyx, Eclipse, and Ivory, who was holding their service animal, a lion who looked a LOT like a certain lion's former uncle.
Before any harm could come to Hime, a roar was heard and then what looked like black spikes appeared from the shadows, impaling the Mirror Shard Creatures. "I REALLY hate these buggers."
It was none other than Prince Dantè who whistled for his familiars to take care of the shard creatures, and then, he turned to face the group. "Use the shadows, they'll get you to the town square and to safety. Mim, Archimedes, guide Hime and her companions."
The shadow wolves barked before flanking Bambi's side, nudging him to show that they wouldn't attack while keeping the group safe. "Go. I'll meet you there!"
With Sano and the others, members of the town saw what was happening, and someone sounded the alarm. And that was when the sound of the conch shell was heard, causing the town to cheer.
Polaris and her crew arrived in the nick of time!
"Kaito, FIRE!"
A laugh that sent the town scattering only to be drowned out as the s cannons fired, the balls directly hitting the Mirror Shards. And of course, Sano's group was shielded by a certain sea dragon who sighed. "Whoopsies...Sorry!" Kaito barked at the group.
"Blithirin, Ejit..." The dragon growled before noticing Phoebus and Jasmine. "Blithirin' Nine Hells...What that lass see to send in her top four?"
