On this very day. What has binded you so much onto Masamune? What did he do that you take him everywhere? /lh

my rewatch of metal masters in like 2020 changed the trajectory of my life for real. that stupid green idiot was so comical and cringe and endearing his story and writing and character really stuck to me and 15 year old me saw a bit of myself in him and then proceeded to add a little more of myself to him and it all went downhill from there. he's quite the easy guy for me to project onto and still have it be reasonable/in character? (at least...i think it does..) if that makes sense. i also saw how he was generally perceived by different parts of the mfb fandom and i will not lie i related to being perceived the same way in certain aspects in real life. i went "he's just like me fr" once and look where i am now. it's a little funny because when i was younger i really loved tsubasa and the whole reason i got back into mfb was because of tsubasa but my brain took a complete 180 and attached itself to a totally different character.

before the revived Beyblade obsession, the previous thing i was into was minecraft streamers and while they were entertaining there's like a line of things between things that you can and can't do with them like you can fictional characters. and i think because the last time i was really into fictional characters was like…when i was 12 (even then i was mostly absorbed into my OCs) i just went ham. i haven't loved a fictional character as much as i love masamune before. he hasn't let go of my brain and although it's a little silly this guy really does help me get through the days and helps me reassure myself. i think about him a lot every day and sometimes i'll just go "no way…masamune kadoya" in my head whenever i think about him😭😭😭 drawing him being silly and happy brings me so much joy !! putting him into situations is incredibly fun !! ive met my best friends and partner through loving this guy !!! woagghh !!!

there are still lots of things i want to draw that i havent yet and i hope to get to them eventually. some things i havent drawn because theyre way outside my skill level right now and others because i fail to defeat executive dysfunction very often. there are...many thoughts i have about masamune and one of them is about how much money he owes me for living in my head. it's gotta be at least a million dollars atp. if i wasn't so awful at putting all my thoughts into words i probably wouldve written so many things about him honestly but i dont think in words im afraid (one reason why im primarily an artist helpppp). i honestly do not know where i would be without mr number one blader masamune kadoya. i joke about kinning but like lowkeyyyyyyy

Isekai girls sound fun :0, do you have more for it?

i want you to know im wagging my tail & vibrating, ty for asking about my ocs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! context for those who havent seen my horrible kitties

some background: the isekai gals are a love letter to a certain genre of manwha/webtoons where someone from our world gets reincarnated into the role of a villainess in a book/show/game/etc. I have permanent WC brainrot so of course i was like.....what if you died and became Berrynose all of a sudden.

The story takes place in a pretty archetypical wc setting, barebones lore, and characters who (at first glance) are cardboard cutouts. You have the heroic protagonist, the rival Clan love interest, the evil rival Clan leader, the goofy best friend, and....the childhood bully who is killed in a battle: Honeypaw.

Of course, the story changes when Honeypaw and "Honey" are both hit by a car at the same time.....before Honeypaw is originally supposed to die. Chaos ensues as Honey, Honeypaw, and Guide - who actually isn't one hundred percent sure what they're supposed to do - prepare and try to avoid Honeypaw's fated death day.

Honey is a nervous wreck of a person. She was a minimum wage worker at a grocery store who struggled with holding down friends and managing her work-school life. She is also super into wrestling and scares everyone when she uses human techniques on other cats (she scares the SHIT out of everyone when she does a headscissors takedown on another cat. honey why, just run).

Honeypaw is an insecure bratty kid who struggles with her legacy of a family of leaders. After the protagonist becomes the leader's (her grandfather) apprentice, she takes to bullying them relentlessly. She's even worse in death before she chills out after seeing how much she is missed....and how she isn't by some. For the first bit, she tries to straight up kill Honey a lot.

Guide is a peppy young StarClan cat who knows very little about their past, they don't even know their own name. They remember bits and pieces but a command of "following the path laid out" keeps them truly questioning anything....until eventually the trio discover something Guide can't ignore.

(not drawn yet) Splashpaw is a Medic's apprentice and a pretty chill gal. She's down-to-earth, likes singing, and occasionally raids catnip stash. Honey, however, can tell there's something...off about her. The way she stares at her, the way she stares past her.

(And also not drawn yet) Finally, there's Frostblaze, the original protagonist of the Definitely-Not-A-Warriors-Ripoff-In-Universe-Series. She's pure of heart, always wants to do what's right, and loves to help others! Well, she's supposed to. Honey doesn't quite understand, even if it's been a while...she knows Frostblaze isn't supposed to be so snippy and short-tempered. She's not supposed to whisper gossip about other cats and she's certainly not supposed to taunt her when other aren't looking.

Finally, there's....well, I can't really remember. Oh well, must be no one important!

Hiya! I notice you’ve played a lot of dnd rangers just like me! I wanted to ask what draws you towards the class? what do you enjoy about the class? And what do you think is the classes identity what makes a ranger ?

I’ve played swarmkeeper feywanderer horizon walker drakewarden and gloomstalker, I’m drawn towards the class in part because I’m a Ranger irl it’s my day job, but I also love the jack of all trades support vibe of the class it doesn’t excel anywhere but can help every class with a little bit of something and I view the classes identity as the professional adventurer someone who spends their life balancing the threats of the world whether that be the threats of the wild the monsters who inhabit it or the people who cross it, balancing their needs, kinda like Geralt of rivia balancing the needs of “monsters” and people, they work to make the world a safer better place picking up whatever skills and magic help them survive, I also note that every dnd class is either some form of Hunter or Tamer, the gloomstalker, horizon walker ,hunter and monster slayer, hunt the creatures of the wild, while the drakewarden, the swarmkeeper, the beast master and the fey wanderer spend their time befriending and taming the monsters of the wild. I don’t mean to answer my own question but I’m interested as someone who’s played the ranger just as much as me how your opinions may differ (I also especially love your borrower style ranger the little fellow is so cute and very well drawn)

hi!! Fun fact, i actually havent played any rangers 🥴 I'm the kinda dnd player who plays in like 2-3 campaigns but makes like 50 ocs. ASDFJKSDJF (I've only played a cleric and a barbarian in campaigns, but for oneshots I've tried every race) Id love to play one, but its kinda hard to do that for a oneshot since so much of the ranger class is dependent on favoured terrain/knowing your surroundings and levelling.

This is SUCH a fun ask because I LOVE the ranger class for its very niche yet versatile character archetype. I think if there's one type of word I could use to describe a ranger is a survivalist — the rangers that I do have, a handful of them are fashioned after Scouts/parkrangers (because....I was one.) or famous character types that do a lot of adventuring like cowboys, pirates, explorers etc. — if I'm being honest, ranger is the most 'adventurer' type there is!

(as a note here, i know pointy hat has mentioned a ranger's big thing was an animal companion -- i think?? IDR -- which is like a fun take. I really like his stuff, but i feel like a class shouldn't be bound to smth like a pet. any class can have pets!)

To use my own as an example, I have a bounty hunter devil cowboy (monster slayer), a princess-mononoke-ish Artemis huntress (hunter), a HouYi type ancient hero with 3-legged crows (swarmkeeper), an Indiana jones style explorerer (horizon walker) and a borrower (beast master). I really love the idea of all of them being really different but all being excellent survivalists and navigators!

Im a big fan of rangers that have fighting styles other than archery too. I think archery is awesome for the fighting style, but having duelist (like the borrower) or dueling (monster hunter) gives it an extra bit of flavour to just "class that wields a bow". it also sets them apart from a fighter bc in my head a fighter is more military while a ranger is more solitary. It establishes them as a martial class for sure, but its so versatile and has that edge that comes with dex-based instead of str-based.

I particularly like monster slayer bc to me that was very like...witcher-y. The cowboy is a monster slayer with favoured foes as humanoids bc he only tracks humanoids (bounties), which is some fun flavouring. There's a lot of customization! To clarify, there's a lot of room for flavour, but not as much choice for character builds (like, mechanically, at least compared to stuff like warlocks.)

The addition of magic also helps give it some class distinction :0

TLDR: mixes the best aspects of rogues and fighters with LOTS of room for flavour text.

Is Jayesh the only gainer OC you have and what is his lore?

One of two! A lot of my characters have weight gain narratives, but very few of the gains are purposeful, though there are some that have preferences for being bigger cuz its indicative of Other Circumstances:tm:. I don't give traditional gainer narratives to a lot of characters because it's not one I find interesting all the time, nor do I feel it fits with most of my characters personalities. Jayesh and Lae (who i've drawn twice, but i havent shown here yet, but has existed for several years, since I had a short story I planned to writing that I never got around to) are the only 2 Actual Gainers and are part of their college gainer scene, which, until I decide to add more people, consists of Jayesh, Lae, Baron (Lae's feeder boyfriend), and Joshua (who is not really a gainer, but they love him there cuz he's hot).

As for Jayesh's Lore... despite me drawing him only only like 5 or 6 times, has been around for a long time! See the Jayesh Facts under the cut: ======

-He's 24, and goes to college with Joshua, Lae, and Baron, as mentioned, and graduated from the highschool most of my OCs attend/went to.

-He's Indian and can speak some Hindi

-Has a younger brother (Vivek) who is a freshman in high school.

-He is a childhood friend of Florence, Zeke, and Oznie, and participated in their adolescent urban fantasy american-dragon-esque adventures, though he is a year or so younger than them. Was part of their polycule for a bit, which is revisited when they're feeling it.

-Now, he works as a security guard at a checkpoint between mundane and magical places. -In terms of his creation, he was actually conceived at the same time as Titus for the same visual novel project that I scrapped as one of the 3 paths I wanted to write. So he's existed since 2016.

And that's about it until i get time to do more development and OC content!
