I like to sometimes think that the OM! demons and angels have a heightened sense for noticing other beings, like they know when someone or something is nearby even if it's incredibly still and silent. But they're so used to MC being around that MC can completely slip under their radar. MC's presence is a totally natural, constant part of their daily life. For better or for worse, they're too used to it.
They're just chilling in their room, doing whatever, until MC coughs. It really spooks them. Maybe they jump a little.
"How long have you been there?"
"I came in, like, three hours ago."
"What have you been doing that entire time?"
"I dunno, just... sitting here?"
"The whole time?"
"Yeah."

You might be referring to my old one, but this is my updated one! Forgive the hastily doodled on clothes - this is also my body type/scar/tattoo/etc/general ref sheet, and while I've posted it without the colors before, it feels weird posting it with colors cause for some reason then it looks like theyre all naked, lol. Kaeya, despite being a sickly and gentle child, was his own kind of nightmare for Crepus and the other Dawn Winery staff.
See, Diluc is prone to mischief and chaos, dragging along his younger brother and a couple of other children into his plots and messes.
But Kaeya? Kaeya is the type to end up in the most random, and I do mean most random, of places. He would vanish for several hours, only to be found in an unexpected location such as, oh let's say that one time, he was found eating fruit with some friendly hilichurls...IN LIYUE.
He was such a curious soul that would easily get distracted by the wonders of Teyvat, but since he is so silent in both words and movements, whoever is watching over him would lose sight of him just as quickly.
He has caused several search parties in his youth, only for people to find out he was following a seelie to a treasure chest or napping with a young wolf cub in Wolvendom.
Crepus swears that Kaeya and Diluc are competing on who can give him gray hairs the fastest (so far, Diluc is winning, but Kaeya sure is catching up with every scream of panic from a designated babysitter and Diluc)

The fact that then when you inevitably think about crossovers you don't want the crossover with the canon you want it with your specific AU. Your brain worms, your circus, but THEN WHAT?

Ghouls HC
Okay, hear me out. I know, I know this theory is contradictory with a lot of fandom lore so just take it as a fun thought.
What if ghouls aren’t actually demons. What if a summoning gathers souls from animals or humans that recently died.
When an earthly creature dies right after a summoning starts the soul is collected to form a new ghoul. Every element needs a certain type of creature thus water ghouls need fish souls, air ghouls need bird souls, earth ghouls need any type mammal that lives on land, quints have human souls and fire ghouls need reptile souls (being the closest thing to a dragon). A soul needs to be strong to form a new ghouls so when no strong souls are available multiple weaker souls are merged together, that’s how multis are formed.
I like to think that the look of the ghouls is solely based on how humans thought they should look like. Given that the summoning is a magic invented by humans, they therefore (subconsciously) decided to give the ghouls a human/demon look.
#instead of needing only one soul to form a ghoul I was also thinking about them needing several souls for one ghoul#just has to do with the energy conversion because energy can't be created#and small animals have less energy than needed so you might need more than one#that's why summonings might take a while#oh you see that ghoul over there? they are like 70% turtle but there are are two fish and a hamster in the mix as well#yeah I don't know#I wrote my last exam two days ago my brain is fried#the band ghost#ghost bc#ghost band#ghoul headcanons#ghoul hcs#ghost ghouls#nameless ghouls#kiyan yells

Hornet headcanon!
'Hornet' is not Hornet's true name.
I'm still torn between different reasonings for her having the name either
A- It was given to her as an honorary title, by Queen Vespa, during her training within the hive (or bestowed upon her after having finished her training as a symbol of her accomplishments.)
Or B- She gave the name to herself, after the fall of the kingdom, as a way to separate her current self from her past while still honoring some part of her past. (The part that is easiest for her to look back on.)
As for her birth name my sisters and I have decided on Arachnè. (The name is from a Greek myth, where the protagonist Arachnè challenges Athena to a weaving contest, wins, and is afterwards transformed into a spider.)
#I'm pretty sure it's said somewhere#I might just be making this up but either way I like that idea#That the hive was only recently infected.#And like the mantises they could not be infected against their will but willingly turned to the radiance#because living under a hive mind is what they were used to#and their queen who had been protecting them had died.#Anyway all of this is to say#Hornet did not have any very terrible memories or trauma related to the hive at least for the majority of the time.#Which is why she stuck to a name associated with that aspect of her life.#Also! On a somewhat related note I really enjoy the headcanon that the Pale King's true name is Ozymandias that is perfect I'm keeping that#Hollow knight#hk hornet#hollow knight hornet#hollow knight headcanon#Also yes I recognize that there are several flashbacks scenes in my fic where she is referred to as Hornet#Which doesn't align with this headcanon unless we go with option A maybe#But either way idc#I have literally been constantly learning and coming up with new hcs and theories ever since getting into hk#They don't always align#Being in the hk fandom is so fun guys#Wow this is a lot of tags ok I'm done

So I’m definitely not the first person to have realized this, but while I was looking through some assets I stumbled across the tomb stone sprite sheet and realized the text was in a funky script, and realized it’s the same script that’s used on a handful of duplicant made buildings such as the super computer, and hastily scribbled down the cipher to the best of my abilities since I couldn’t find an actual font or sprite sheet for it in game
I probably got some things a bit wrong since the text is so small, but I thought I’d share in case anyone else found this interesting 👍
#rat rambles#oxygen not included#z is the only one that’s super not set in stone since I kind of just assigned it from process of elimination#I saw it on some art of the super computer in the files and it seemed to be the only sign that wasn’t already assigned to smth#plus it’s a flip of s so it’d make sense since several of these are flips of eachother#but yeah it’s pretty neat that the duplicants seem to have their own script#if I’m remembering right english text is used on some gravitas stuff#and the stuff that doesn’t have english text has the more traditional vague scribbles#but yeah this opens some doors for some fun hcs I think#someone who’s better at writing and graphic design than me should make a usable font for this I think it’d be fun
