ngl i think i kind of was a genius for being like 'yeah this character is a scary killyou cannibal scary killer who scary kills you' and then realizing that the way my worldbuilding works out is that there's a nonzero chance that if you leave literally any body parts over they can just come back, depending on what they believe in their heart of hearts can kill them. Of course she'd start eating her kills. She probably tried normal stuff first and then realized it didn't work and she had to try harder if she wanted to actually keep them dead.

it was an unusually calm and comfortable day at uconn. for once you didn’t have to deal with the usual mountain of problems on your shoulders or unbearably long practice hours. it was just perfect, in your opinion.

“can we go to the mall?”, you asked a relaxed paige who was sitting next to you on the sofa, with your legs thrown over her lap. paige’s thumb had been drawing shapes onto the exposed skin of your thighs while scrolling through her phone, as the side of your head leaned against the backrest, silently admiring her beautifully sculpted side profile, as if memorizing each angle and curve.

paige wasn’t exactly the biggest fan of crowded malls and going out on days off, — she preferred shopping online — so it only came to your surprise when the blonde nodded her head at your suggestion. “sure, baby.”

not wanting to ruin it for yourself with any questions, you smiled brightly and lifted yourself from off of her and the couch. standing straight in front of her, you held onto both of his hands to ‘pull’ her up. paige pretended to struggle in lifting herself up without your help.

“damn, ma. when did you get so strong?”, she teased you with a grin on her lips once she was standing on her own two feet.

you simply rolled your eyes in faux annoyance and proceeded to drag her out of the apartment and towards her motorcycle. back then, you had been deathly afraid of the vehicle that you liked to call a ‘death trap’, but after countless times of riding in the back of it with paige, you learned to trust the girl and her beloved motorcycle. you were her little backpack, as she liked to call it. you knew she would never let anything happen to you, especially since she insisted that you wear the helmet at all times, despite voicing your wishes of letting the wind blow through your hair and feeling it on your face.

after visiting countless of stores and with multiple bags held by your girlfriend, you gasped once you saw an empty photobooth. you happily dragged her towards it by the hand that was less full. paige hadn’t complained a single time, the smile on your face and the way your eyes sparkled whenever you bought something that you liked was like a reward to her, especially when she was the one buying it for you. it’s as if your constant protests of not wanting her to spend money on you, went in one ear and out the other.

the chair of the booth was small, so naturally you found yourself sitting on top of the girl’s lap as you faced the camera and waited for the countdown. what paige didnt know, is that you had something very important to tell her.

“don’t make ugly faces”, you jokingly warned her.

once the countdown had reached zero, the first pose you and paige did was a normal one. two cute and happy smiles for the camera, with the sides of your faces softly pressed up against each other and your arms wrapped around her neck, while her’s draped over your waist.

in the second photo, you turned your face towards paige and pressed a soft kiss on her cheek, causing the girl to smile wider than she had before.

before the click for the third picture went off, you leaned a bit closer towards paige’s ear. “i love you so much. did you know that?”, you softly whispered.

paige turned to you in disbelief, a look of genuine surprise on her face as she stared at you with a soft gaze and hearts in her eyes.

before the last click went off, paige gently wrapped his hand around your throat and pulled you in for a deep kiss, just in time for the camera to capture it.

“i love you more”.

I don't think there is a single thing I like about the third HTTYD movie (Aside from the Deathgrippers ofc, they're perfect <33)

Scrap the lightfury, I don't like her. She was made just to be feminine and that pisses me off. Her invisibility, while kinda cool, just doesn't really sit right with me. Especially since it was supposed to make her unique and then they gave Toothless the same ability two seconds later. Which leads me into my second point.

"The unholy offspring of lightning and death itself" WASN'T SUPPOSED TO BE LITERAL. GIVING TOOTHLESS SKRILL POWERS AND INVISIBILTY MAKES NO FUCKING SENSE. WHY DID YOU EVEN BOTHER GIVING IT TO THE LIGHTFURY IF HE WAS ALSO GOING TO HAVE IT. FLASHY ABILITIES MAKE NO SENSE FOR A STEALTH DRAGON.

Adding on to this, Toothless should not be acting like a horny dog. He should have been a graceful, cat dragon and not what he was. Also him practically abandoning Hiccup for the Lightfury???? She tried to kill Hiccup--Toothless's BEST FRIEND--multiple times and he did nothing????

Why did Toothless become the king of the hidden world right away??? Why would he even be fit for king?

Speaking of the Hidden World, kick that out the window. It makes literally no sense. No fresh water, no food, and the habitat is NOT SUITED FOR ALL DRAGONS.

Sending to the dragons was STUPID. HICCUP. WHAT WERE YOU THINKING. Not only sending them away betray the whole message of the previous two movies, that you have to fight for what you think is right, But it also gathers all the dragons in one place, with no food, water, or natural.

None of the villains were compelling at all, the Warlords were just meh, and Grimmel? Oh boy do I have something to say about him.

The ENTIRE aspect of his character is stupid. While I can get behind a nightfury hunter, you're telling me that STRINGBEAN killed ALL of the nightfuries? Not buying it. Not only were all of his facts wrong, but there's no feasible way one person killed off an entire species of dragon. There is absolutely no way he could ever cover that much area or kill that many nightfuries, even with the help of the Deathgrippers.

Ahh, the Deathgrippers. My babies, my big murder puppies. They are perfect and deserved so much better. They didn't even get to live at the end of the film. What happened to "Good dragons under the control of bad people do bad things."???? NAH, JUST STRIKE THEM OUTTA THE SKY ITS FINE. HE DIDNT EVEN TRY TO SAVE THEM.

The only bad thing I will say about them isn't even about them, it's about their venom. It was inconsistent at best and random at worst. It changed based on what the plot needed it to, and yes, the could be chocked up to it having different effects based on what it's mixed with, but Grimmel didn't even label them. It was just a random draw. Imagine him trying to knock out the Lightfury and just killing her because he didn't realize that was the really poisonous dart. The random effects makes literally no sense.

Moving onto my next point, the characters. Oh boy, the characters. Everyone was out of character from HTTYD 1/RoB/DoB/RTTE/HTTYD 2

Snotlout, my guy. Why the FUCK would you say "Who died and made you chief?"???? BROTHER YOU WERE AT STOICK'S FUNERAL. YOU CRIED, YOU MOURNED. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK. NOT ONLY THAT, YOU STARTED GOING AFTER HICCUP'S MOTHER. DUDE.And Tuffnut. You would never leave Ruffnut behind. And as stated in the shows AND movies, YOU RIDE A TWO HEADED DRAGON. YOU CAN'T FLY WITHOUT A RIDER ON EACH HEAD. And you, Ruffnut. You would never lead all of the hunters/trappers right to Hiccup and all of Berk because you 'never look back'. BITCH WHAT. WHAT. Fishlegs and Eret served literally no purpose other than comedic reliefs, and the movie would be the exact same without them.

And what happened to all the riders working together??? We literally see them raid multiple places in RTTE and HTTYD 2. Heck they tricked VIGGO during Last Dragon Auction and that takes working together.

The ableism oh the ableism. What do you mean "I have a parasitic twin and you don't see me limping around about it." BROTHER HE LOST THAT LEG IN THE BATTLE WITH THE RED DEATH. PROTECTING THE ENTIRETY OF BERK FROM LITERAL DEATH.

Speaking of Berk, Hiccup would never endanger the entirety of Berk with overcrowding and bad infrastructure. Why were there so many dragons. Why didn't you expand to the rest of the island. Why didn't you rehome the dragons to different islands. Why did one dragon bumping into a tower cause so much destruction. There are so many things wrong with it.

Changing the subject back to Grimmel, it is insane that they let him win in the end. Even though he died, he won. Toothless is confirmed to be the last nightfury, and Hiccup made the dragons leave. He accomplished BOTH of his goals, kill all the nightfuries, and for dragons to not live with humans.

And back on Hiccup sending the dragons to a death pit in the middle of nowhere. There will always be bad people. Always. It's the curse of humanity and by sending the dragons you have not only gone back on the entire message of all the previous shows and films but you have doomed all of the dragons and shoehorned in an ending that doesn't fit the series.

Anyways all this will be fixed in my rewrite and thank you for listening to my rant about THW, I hope you have a nice day/night!

hii! im not sure how eloquently or clearly ill be able to explain it but i definitely have some pictures you can look at!

i actually got the idea while i was away on a trip with very limited wifi -- it wasn't Trust Me that i got an AMV idea for first, but instead it was one of 4syu's other songs, There's Nobody. for such a happy sounding song it really made me so sad, to the point where if i tried to sing it to myself id get choked up by the chorus LMAO. it was baddd

but basically i was rapidly trying to find both songs on spotify so i could listen to them offline, and it only took me a few loops of Trust Me and thinking about the original MV to make me go "ohhhh. how can i make this about noelle." And so i did .

i was thinking about doing a storyboard, but in the past, i've found that doing storyboards for animations/AMVs lowkey... kills my motivation altogether... SAD... but i saw the whole video so clearly in my head, and i didnt want to make the same mistake i made before... so i went right to doing quick sketches (while still on my trip...) just so i could get the ideas out of my head

i was torn on what to do with my style at the time, whether i wanted to make it more similar to the original video, or to her canon appearance, or to MY style and how i draw her. i think it kind of ended up as an amalgamation of all three...? at the very least, her light world color palette definitely was more bland and desaturated, like i purposefully wasn't trying to do anything special with her colors.

after that point, and getting maybe a few of the actual drawings done, my motivation crashed again, and i left it all to marinate for nearly a week. it was baking, guys, it wasn't abandoned, listen to me, why are you throwing tomatoes at me,

i had up to about the "I dreamed about that again" animation done and stopped, and it wasn't until i decided to sit down and start editing it anyway that i really got in my groove again. i got all my little assets into a workable state so i could really try to sit down and make the video come to life and all

the really fun part was honestly working on the desktop backgrounds. i really wanted to limit colorpicking from the original video as much as possible, but i decided that making look as similar as possible to the original could help with the contrast i wanted to add later.

i drew these two backgrounds first. i was hoping i could somehow fit the bunker into the second one, but decided to do something different anyway. the second one's ui didn't actually change until later in the editing process.

drawing THESE were fun especially, and im happy with how they came out. i think the dark world icons are really cute still. one thing i really did know i wanted to do from the beginning was to turn the soul/undertale icon into the deltarune one.

i was worried if the shift from the Windows Field Background to the dark world would be too sudden, like you would just blink and suddenly it was all different, but i think it ended up all right...?

the not so fun part was drawing all the different boxes, lmao. it go really tedious by the end, so i tried to reuse as many of the same ones as i could.

a lot of copy-pasting and tracing rectangles for sure.

i also had to make sure the animations didnt Suck. i brute forced those things and used every last braincell i had in order to make those pictures move bros

fun fact. ive never animated hair like this before. or in any complex manner really. i had to use sooo much brain here... heres how it started vs. how it ended up

had my animator gf hype me up thru the whole thing... i was having a great time based on the filenames alone

aaaand then ummmm i edited it. i learned after effects like 1 month ago. never touched it before. i learned it for internship purposes and then used my newfound powers for evil it seems

i split the whole thing up into multiple compositions of course, but i probably could have split things up more... im sorry for having 84 layers on comp 3 its not my fault

editing a video in 12 fps was a fun change though -- very easy for my brain to go frame-by-frame, and yet still some of the timing ended up being off... tis the goomy way

like i said before, i started editing when i barely had half the drawings done, but seeing it all start to be in motion really pushed me to finish it up. and i mean Really. like i finished the whole thing maybe 48 hours after i first started editing.

and...i think that's it? i do a lot of discord art streaming to friends lately but i kinda kept this one more under wraps compared to usual, i think i just wanted to surprise everyone... look guys i remembered how to make a video! and it's three minutes! waow

Do you have any tips/advice for someone doing comics? Like, shorter ones, not necessarily longer form stuff? How to plan a lil scene, set up panels, etc? Anyway, I like your comics a lot, your art is really cool and I hope you have a nice day <3

i feel like i do what you arent supposed to do, but i write a lot of my short comics from the seat of my pants. i have a general idea of what i what to accomplish, sometimes i have some dialogue and stage direction written in my notes app, and i just. draw a rectangle and start going. that tends to be why a lot of my mspaint comics tend to be talking head type deals, haha. ill try to give some proper advice, but im also just a hobbist whos taken a some classes about communication through design and comics years ago.

most comics do well if you establish a scene with a larger set piece, then you can narrow down to characters or actions. show us where we are in space, and the audience can take that knowledge and move along the other panels with a stronger suspension of disbelief. (bc comics are all about giving toys to your reader and hoping they play with you) heres the first page of my anya n swansea comic illustrating this. big location panel, then narrowing down to character moments.

you notice as i focus more on dialogue, that my scenery gets left out. this is bc theres only so much space in a panel, so i need to choose what gets shown. of course this depends on what medium you work with, but the gist is the same amongst all types. dont give your reader TOO much to play with or they might get confused, or will start skimming. not what we want!

for shorter comics, id suggest something eye catching right at the beginning to catch readers attention. if you have multiple "pages" or breaks in the comic, make sure the last panel before the next page is enticing. be it a punchline or cliff hanger, something to keep the reader interested. jingle those keys. in general most short comics need to end on a punchline or satisfaction or deep thought. something for the reader to chew on after their done reading, or to inspire rereading. makes for a satisfying read!

but it also depends on how you want to structure a comic page. this comic of anya and curly i did is very different than the previous one i showed, and i think its one of my fav recent comics. it starts with a weird piece of dialogue that makes you ask "what does that mean" which gets answered by the next panels. theres visual and spoken repetition, theres very little said, and its short and sweet. very easy to read and reread, so its easy to take in, and its easy for the reader to sit with it longer and ponder it more. and be able to draw their own conclusions. play touys with meeee

i think when it comes to planning scenes, it depends on what you want the reader to get out of it. when i was planning this comic page, i really wanted to mention that curlys tear ducts probably dont work, and anyas been wearing the same contact lenses for months! i wanted to showcase their similarities and how they mirror each other narratively and i had the idea to use the onomatopoeia of drip to stand in for the drip of saline. but i didnt have any solid ideas past that. but i do like showcasing mundane sort of events, so i thought maybe just a simple exchange of using saline to wet curlys eye, and then her eyes. initially the idea to literally copy and paste the action of applying the saline was out of ease so i didnt have to draw it again, but i found that it worked for the narrative, so i leaned into that. i flipped anya around to better convey them as on either side of the mirror, and had anya repeat her dialogue.

something else to debate about in layout, is making sure the comic isnt too unbalanced (unless thats a theme/motif youre wanting to work with) in this comic page, anya always remains on the left side, except the first panel where she is on the right. i Could have swapped her and her dialogue in the first panel, so she stays on the left and better mirrors curly in panel 3, but if i did that, the comic would be very left heavy. anyas hair and her clothes are a heavy, dark color, it takes up a lot of visual attention. i thought the comic would look more pleasant for anya to be on the right in the first panel to balance it out, as i didnt find much narrative use for her to be on the left side always. the reader would still read the comic left to right and follow the typical reading pattern regardless. to make up for this, in panel 3, curly mirrors the angle she's at in panel 1, its not an exact mirror, but its enough that i was satisfied with it.

in other comics, it might be easier to play with how the eye would move across the page. regardless, its something important to keep in mind. you have to assume how the reader will read your comic, and if youre going to be breaking the rules, you need to put in lots of safeguards to make sure the reader can understand what youre doing. too much dialogue in confusing places? work with the speech bubbles to create hierarchy and flow so the reader knows how to read everything in order. number one rule of design we were taught was people are stupid, so you have to play at their level, or baby proof your level DX designers and artists know all the rules, but readers dont have a grasp on the rules themselves, just the vibes of the rules.

the most important thing with comics is legibility. if the reader cant understand or follow the comic, it might as well be like them not reading it at all. and the worst thing that could happen is they think what youre doing is pointless. so you have to juggle what you want to accomplish, what the reader can understand, what the medium limits you to, and what rules you think you can get away with breaking.

little fun fact/story behind the piece also bc i assume some of you might recognize that its an edit of this Lord Demoness fanart i made last year, which i actually made because of the album!

so that piece wasn't my original submission for a cover art, but instead a second attempt kinda at the same concept, the original piece (which i made back in early 2024 and never posted anywhere before) was this one:

i drew this before the Lord Megido fanart which is how i thought of the concept initially, as sort of a follow up to an older drawing of Damara wearing only the Cairo Overcoat, but building up more on the idea of her overtaking LE, and adding now hints of her having dealt also with Scratch and HIC. i loved the idea, just didnt like how this composition came out for multiple reasons (LE skull being too small, not fitting properly in the canvas, her expression not fully convincing me, the way i drew her hair looking a little off (this was before i started drawing hers and her pre Scratch self's hair kinda differently), and just not finding the composition that interesting in general) yet i submitted the piece anyway trying to ignore all of that. months later tho it inspired me to redraw the concept, but improving on all of that, also considering i'd not have to worry on it being 1:1 canvas measurements. cue the Lord 'Mara fanart:

which is funnily enough still nowadays one of my favorite drawings of Damara i've made. also i kept the same headcanon timeline of her kicking some of the HS villains' ass and then taking over the Felt Mansion for some other Damara drawings. i nicknamed that version of Damara as Lord Megido:

so yea eventually i asked if it'd be ok to use an edited version of that fanart as the cover art instead since i liked more how that one came out, it was ok, so i did ^u^

also this was actually the fourth idea i had for a piece for the album, after considering drawing Damara in her Sailor Moon cosplay, a Dampor piece and something Psycholonials related, yet ultimately decided sweet precious Demoness doesn't have nearly enough fan music, so i settled on this one ^u^

-if arthur or someone else brings back bad meat, sean gets toothache while eating the stew. he doesnt make it obvious on purpose, but the way his eyes brim with frustrated tears as he holds his cheek and throws his stew to the side makes it quite hard to hide.

-lenny has absolutely no awareness for other people when it comes to stretching. more than once he has stretched and accidentally half-punched someone in the face. he stretched his arms out near sean and the silly irishman thought he was putting his arm around him and fully leant in. lenny did not correct him.

-dutch is the only one in camp who likes those records. for everyone else theyre an absolute mood ruiner and they cannot be happy until theyre turned off. he, similarly, absolutely cannot stand sean’s jawharp.

-sean lost his front tooth as a kid, completely his fault. he got told multiple times to calm down by his da and stop running around, but sean being sean he didnt, ran straight headfirst into their table and knocked his tooth out. scream-cried, would not calm down, was yelled at but also held.

-if mary-beth doesnt like the ending of a book, she will just write her own ending. maybe add her own characters. she is yet to realise this is, in fact, fanfiction.

-molly comes up with the most stupid insults during a fight. once called dutch a soggy milk bottle. why? she doesnt know. no one knows.

Rose was alot more energetic and excitable during her childhood which would be quite a shock to anyone who knows her now. If you think they are similar to a certain doctor and pants named fictional character then i simply dont know what your talking about, i plead the fifth.

Synique is a genius scientist with over 7 phd’s and multiple achievements to breakthroughs in the science scene. He mostly stays hulled up in his underground lab and is quite unapproachable but he always makes sure to have time for his daughter(and the annoying man with keys to the house). He works hard to make the world better for her and has long stopped denying his care for her. From going to all her ballet practices to taking breaks from work because she wanted to have tea time with him.

Sebastian braies is syniques patron, early into syniques career he sponsored him theyve been buisness partners since. Despite his kind expression, He is quite pompous and flamboyant, a eccentric perfectionist . He knows what he wants and expects you to either follow his lead or get out of his way. Synique is the only one who is able to go against him, they both challenge each other and annoy each other despite having worked together for over 30 years now.

At first he didnt understand rose, he didnt really like kids and Sebastian was just confused on how synique of all people could end up with a child. I mean he hates people?! He doesnt go outside!!? What women with common sense would hit that!?! It doesnt help that whenever he asked synique would just say he dug rose up out of the garden. Rose grows on him though, he thinks she is a smart kid and he likes how she is more reasonable than her stupid father.

Sebastian was the first person synique went to when rose went missing. He is the only person who hasnt tried to convince dr aurelle that his daughter isnt dead, if anything he is just as determined to find her in his own way. They both have grieved her for so long but they are determined to find her

Rose love her family so much, the only reason she wishes to go back to her world is because of her father and mr braies. In reality she has no other reason, her world failed her, but her want to be with her family is so strong it doesnt matter that she feels safe in twst than her own world.

oxventurers guild | the hobby horses

unlike my other designs where i let everyone have individual colors/palettes, i tried to keep colors more consistent across these designs! the oxventurers guild has the fantasy element and theyre all very different, so the wide mishmash of colors are fine, and the hobby horses all have a lot of dark colors so that keeps them looking consistent together. but for these guys, i wanted a more consistent feel, so i tried my best to reuse colors between each design (especially between delacy and nate ^-^)

silas - ough. my boy. i wanted him to be broad with a strong build, and i hope i pulled that off :D i had so much trouble with his hat that i almost just didnt give him one, but eventually i decided it was better to just. give up and rock with it, even if he looks a bit like a mountie hbjgfjhd and he is wearing cowboy boots, theyre just tucked into his pants because he doesnt feel the need to flash them (looking at delacy, lol). he has spurs on his boots, even though he doesnt ride horses, because he likes the way they jangle <3

garnet - people really liked it when i gave garnet dark roots, so i have decided to always give her dark roots. i like how it looks hehehe and i also like to give her freckles!!! i think theyre cute!!! for the vest, i struggled for a while trying to capture the vibe of jane's vest, because its so so strange and specific in a way that makes it impossible for me to picture garnet without it. i'm pretty happy with where i landed with it, especially the pattern, since i've never tried to make a pattern like that before :3 i dont know why ive been loving patterns so much lately LOL but i will keep riding this wave and regret it later when drawing the designs again

edie - definitely the furthest departure from canon outfits, though still in the right wheelhouse. i just don't like drawing multiple layers of ruffled skirt. i didn't like how my sketches kept looking. i wanted to give her a skirt slit, especially after my friend reminded me about her thigh rifle holster. so today, i stared at a bunch of victorian ballgowns and party city costumes, and then completely redesigned her skirt before i lined these XD and i think it was worth it!! i love the layers and the way her rifle peeks out, and it meant i could show off more of her boots and give them a pretty design :]

delacy - my main thought going into drawing delacy was just. "i need to malnourish this boy" LMAO i refuse to believe that he is eating properly, i just know that he is not. otherwise, i mostly just stuck to the campaign art but scuffed up his clothes a bit. as implied on silas's notes, i very purposefully had his boots be Big. he's overcompensating a little bit :] also sorry i did not want to draw rooster so he just gets a generic handgun. i didnt feel like drawing complicated guns, and i wanted it to be a smaller handgun so that he could be poorly copying edie :') he has no trigger discipline but neither does edie so its fine

nate - that's just nate, baby!!! i think, canonically, he's meant to be a bit. emaciated. but i cant help but just picture him being a bigger guy, i think it fits his vibe better and its more fun for me to draw that way. i like having variety in body shapes, and garnet and delacy already have the rail thin thing down for this line-up. let my old man be fat !!! also. he has a weird nipple because he is transgender. heart emoji

I had a nightmare that mihawk, dragon, shanks, another character thats a manga spoiler but ill give a hint the character started with an s (i known, insane), and garp were all in love with this one girl and they all had a child with her and it turned out they shared the same mom so zoro and luffy were siblings (im a zolu shipper). Then one piece ended it luffy becoming a super god and fighting buggy who had turned into a demon and they both fought like that while both super huge. Luffy won and that was the end. But for some reason then it kept going and i was reading the manga now and ig oda was taking a break because there was a new artist that drew in color and they were the biggest gooner and kept drawing extremely goon basically softcore porn of the girls and made nami a shortstack (i agreed with that part). Then luffy and perona met and suddenly it seemed like they were gonna get together and it was devastating seeing it because i liked the no mc romance in OP but they were so cute together i remember one moment perona poked luffy's cheek while they were both running and he blushed a teeny bit it was so cute it was devastating. I also had to watch all 5 guys interact with the girl all enamoured with her. Like incredibly. It wasnt even an oc or me or a self insert either i just came up with this girl and the worst part is she was actually pretty cool but it was still heartbreaking seeing it happen (and having luffy and zoro being related). Anyway the 3 luffy, zoro, and sanji all had canon female leads now. Luffy's was perona and the other two were also girls i came up with but for some reason were always canon and i knew them in the dream unlike the mom person. The zoro one was this swordswoman that was like tashigi but more wild ig, longer spikier ponytail and no glasses. Their dynamic was like fun wild (her) and just black dog wild (zoro). Sanji's was this blonde girl that looked like the final boss mom from pokemon sun and moon. She was really mature and their dynamic was him flirting with her like normal and her being like the flirtatious mature type, kinda like the mom from pokemon sun too (luzamine i just searched it up except the girl was bustier and wore black). For perona and luffy it was just both of them were really cute and it was nice to see. All of them fit so well it was devastating, even the mom and the guys they seemed nice even though it physically pained me. And as if it couldnt get any worse splatoon 4 came out and the connection issues were even WORSE and it was super glitchy and there were like multiple spawn points now and it was cool but heartbreaking. Overall the nightmare was that everything i didnt want to happen in media happened and it was done well enough that I couldnt even be mad. It was like sidon getting with that one chick in totk but i couldnt hate her because she was so nice. Connection issues but cool gameplay sigh. It was horrible. Whats worse is I fake waked up too and Shanks still had a kid and the mom was possibly bellemere. When i woke up for real I was panicked and had to filter out for like 10 minutes what happened in the dream and what was real. Also I know it doesnt make sense for the mom to be zoro's bc none of the 5 guys are zoro's dad but for some reason it was just true, it was a plot hole in the dream that just made sense in my dream mind. Also when i say softcore porn i really fucking meant it like girls's nipples were showing and getting squeezed it was almost actual porn and the artist and story person wasnt even oda but for some reason oda just allowed it all i guess.

weretangle behind-the-scenes design progress

i love <3 rambling about my design choices and i actually have a bunch of weretangle concept sketches to share and go off about

i started pretty early on with the ‘sonic = nightmare wereform, tangle = titan wereform’ idea - picked titan because it was one of the few minions without stretchy abilities, and i thought it fit well for tangle’s design and to contrast how she usually is, and then i did up some initial sketches leading to this one:

i didn’t push her proportions very far with this one, mainly just the exaggerated forearms and a liittle bit of extra fur; not nearly werecreature enough i gave her tusks as an inversion of fangs, considering tangle’s wereform is sort of an inversion of sonic’s and this would be an easy way to contrast them to a viewer; i also added some pinkish markings as a way to introduce a third color, like werehog gets an extra fur color in white, and to echo dark gaia minions having their glowy spots. the shoes are mostly her regular shoes with randomly different lacing pattern, as well as glowy aggressively pink soles with spikes mimicking titan feet, sorta. they’re a different shape.

from here, i tried pushing a little more and got these:

and here i go more for the ‘towering werelemur not used to her size yet’ angle, as well as still using a spiral arm pattern - which i struggle to draw consistently in any of the sketches that use it lol

the bottom right sketch is the first i did on this page; the shoe design is about the same as the first concept with regular laces, but the whole body is pretty different, using a lot more bulk. i use a consistent ‘wavy/fiery’ sort of shape for fur tufts, going off the two tall firelike spike-things titans have, using it for her tail also - i gave this up after this sketch because it would be hard to translate into a shape you’re supposed to see in 3d from multiple angles, such as her tail or hair, while also retaining a consistent ‘fiery’ shape. some of the added fur i liked and kept, others (like the tufts right behind her head up from the body) i toned down, and some (like the shoulder spike tuft) i removed entirely. she also had a marking between her eyes - also meant to echo dark gaia minion glowy markings - which didn’t stick around past this sketch, since it looked too ‘intricate’ - it would stand out against werehog sonic and call into question why he doesn’t have any glowy bits, and my main idea going into this design was ‘a design that can appear besides werehog sonic and seem like it’s from official media’, otherwise i’d just redesign werehog sonic a bit

the little chibi werelemur tangle as size reference to werehog sonic is sort of its own design; a little more ‘boxy’ or less ‘flowy’ than the other, slightly shorter arms that don’t drag on the floor, regular-shaped fur tufts, and a different hairstyle to be extra fluffy-looking. it’s also hard to see with how light the sketch lines are, but she’s still got her chest fur, just larger. this one also goes back to the hands being white instead of greyed.

the third sketch (supposed to be tangle sheepishly trying to tiptoe, but getting caught) blends these two together a bit, using mostly the 2nd sketch’s proportions, but a bit of ‘fiery’ fur like the 1st, and back to 2 tusks like the first concept above. the shoe design is still pretty tame, because shoes are hard !! i also still didnt know how i wanted the laces

and from here i sort of knew the angle i wanted to take with tangle’s wereform, so i did sketches within a similar vein:

(bottom right, realizing she’s scary now; sketch above that, realizing someone saw her and is trying to seem less scary)

here i’ve narrowed down to a few traits that remain, while fine-tuning the rest: a fur ‘crest’ surrounding her head to act like the ‘jaw’ a titan has, and exaggerate her chest fur; her tail being thicker at the tip like a mace, but still having a normal fur tuft shape (& kinda looking like an artichoke lol); one tusk at each corner of her mouth instead of two; tufts of fur at either side of her head to resemble horns; and a settled bodytype/proportions, with little variation

since her tail doesn’t stretch, setting the length is important; it should be long enough to have range to use as a weapon, but not long enough to grapple/wrap also, the precise size of her head in relation to her body does a lot for conveying scale, and this varies between the different sketches here; i think i like where i landed with the final, so doing a bit of variation here was important to see how to get to what worked best. i also start messing with her arm pattern again, because i want it to be easy to recreate while drawing, and a spiral is not unless you can make clear rules and a pattern for it, or the limb is vague enough for it not to matter - for example, garurumon’s tail. you can also see i’ve given her lemurish hand pads, which isn’t a trait we’ve seen with sonic characters iirc but i have always maintained that tangle deserves it because it’s such a cool design choice AND helps give you an idea which way the hand is facing, and where the hand ends since you terminate it before the wrist! i think it wouldn’t be out of place, especially when werehog has more realistic hands and actual fingernails, when we never see sonic’s hands gloveless otherwise.

also, here’s the first sketch where i have clothes on her - because i can’t see a canonical weretangle design not using clothes, even if i consider them unnecessary for animal characters - and i still took it down to some makeshift shorts and extra chest fluff, because i’m not too fond of the ‘wearing ripped, pulled-chicken clothes’ look, or just putting oversized clothes on weretangle. and the first actually cool shoe concept!! which is basically the final shoe design i went with, just cooler-toned metal. i also really like the tall shoes look, because it gives a sense of being unwieldy or restricting movement - the general vibe to tangle being way larger and clunkier, which her shoes fit into, and also are further armored, so the shoes really fit better with the overall design than before

last note here, you can see the sketch with most color is messing around with an added tone between the light and dark, as sort of a ‘sooty’ effect or ‘gradient’ along the arms; i scrapped this shade because i’d already added an extra one with the darker grey for her palms and facial markings. (which is an interesting note, because this isn’t consistent in idw which greys are shared and which aren’t - at some points, her ears are the same darker grey as her eye markings; at others, her eye markings are noticeably darker than either other grey; and sometimes her ears are the same shade as her muzzle, and just the eye markings are darker. in my own art, since i draw her ears with lemur fur instead of bald, i generally color her ears the same as her grey fur markings)

aaand now back to the final design for comparison <3

most traits are inherited from the concepts, such as the horn hair, single tusks, etc. so i’ll talk more about what’s new for this iteration!

there’s a specific layout to her chest fur tufts, and it’s sort of a ‘double v’, but one ‘v’ is inside the other and only has 3 tufts. they also curl around her neck and leave the shoulders exposed, which makes it easier to position them against each other. her arms have an entirely new marking, which is different along the arm, further accentuating the shift in proportions compared to a spiral pattern. it’s also way easier to draw without seeming inaccurate :) the upper arm has , if you look at it creatively, a ‘jaw’ shape - and the darker marking on her chest could be interpreted as a ‘tongue’ sticking up, maybe? it’s also better at clearly conveying which way the arm is rotated

the forearm then has a jagged ring pattern, like tangle’s tail, which also gives it a bit more of a ‘dangerous’ feeling. at first when i was coloring the design, only her palms were darker and the whole hand was white, but then i tried the darker grey on the fingers… and immediately it terminated the hand shape so well, and let her claws stand out without introducing a new color or making them dark plus, if you squint, it makes the fingers look like just another stripe! which is my fav part :] and then last, the face, which was also spur-of-the-moment that turned out well; i’d already been using a darker color around her eyes than her muzzle, and then tried a little curl around her muzzle and her forehead marking and !! it looks like a scar or something?? sweet!!

i just wanted to share my headcannons for the groups but i actually have like never made any headcannons … SO! I’m not too sure about what to do but after seeing some others i get the idea so here are mine:3

MUSIC !!!

aiden listens to anything, country? listens to. rap? listens. calm? listens. loud? listens. etc

ashlyn listens to anything calm , especially during ballet. but she also sometimes listens to country, she also listens to paramore aswell

logan listens to older songs, and rock songs. his grandparents getting him into ghe older music

ben listens to rap and calmer type of music, and has also make separate playlists for all of the group

tyler listens to country and calmer music types

taylor also listens to any type of music, but mainly types of artists like mitski, laufey, adrianne lenker YOU GET IT!!!

COOK/BAKE

aiden can’t cook or bake, but he can cook/bake some stuff and is getting taught by the group

ashlyn can cook some stuff, and can’t bake

ben can’t cook that well, but can bake

logan can bake, can’t cook that well

tyler can cook, and kind of can bake, sometimes he teaches them how to cook if they don’t know, while ben teaches them to bake if they don’t know how

taylor can bake, and really enjoys it, she’s also trying to learn how to cook

aiden gives everyone sweets that they like

ashlyn teaches them how to braid her hair correctly, so they don’t damage it

the group (when they decide to) plays horror games or any multiplayer game, if there’s only a four player for multiplayer, they take turns

tyler teaches ben every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. during the summer tyler adds in Saturdays

every few days they have sleepovers, to the point where all the parents are tempted to give an extra set of keys since they’re there a lot

in the phantom dimension, after coming from a different place, ashlyn head counts everyone making sure that they didn’t accidentally leave anyone or to make sure no one got lost

ben usually tends to everyone’s injuries, if multiple people are injured tyler sometimes help, as they both have experience with injuries

taylor and logan have their own hangout times, and spend that time helping or chatting with each other about stuff they like

aiden and tyler both watch marvel movies with each other

ashlyn , logan, taylor, and ben also have hangouts with eachother where they watch random movies (nothing too intense or stupid) or just listen to music, this is usually when tyler and aiden are hanging out

aiden once wanted to get into spray painting, but didnt want to kill anything natural

ben teaches logan how to draw, while logan talks about information about space

taylor has a bunch of toy cars, or just mechanical stuff “meant” for kids

ben likes some types of bugs, the others he doesnt like. but he wont kill them
