#i have been percy in this scenario and let me tell you there is no averting disaster

So I have a question? You know that song lyric “Would you still love me if I’m no longer young and beautiful?” By Lana Del Rey. Okay so I’m gonna give you a scenario I’ve been thinking about adding to my story (as a draft for the next interlude after I finish the next reaction chapter)

So it goes a little like this:

Let say Percy who was a goddess (like in the last ask) got cheated on by Cu and, in her despair, killed herself.

(This is just a draft but I do plan on starting the chapter with her suicide note to her children first. Then to each of the yans individually. And maybe a couple to the friends and family she made on the way. So like a note to Shiva and his wives, Adamas, maybe Hercules and Prometheus, and…Ra(surprise! 🤭) honestly, I plan on making his a mixture of kinda funny/sarcastic, but also nostalgic and sad.)

Everyone finds out of course. And Zeus, devestated by the loss of his favorite neice, incensed by the disrespect shown to the Greek Pantheon by the Celtic Pantheon, spurred on by his son, brothers, and pantheon’s devestation and righteous anger at Percy’s death, along with the Egyptian, Norse, Abrahamic,Hindu, etc. Pantheons’ anger with what Cu did, obviously, declare war. The heavens are split and in utter chaos as the two sides form and each side is gathering allies for the upcoming war (it’ll be known as the “The Divine Schism” later on.

So, as u can imagine, this results in a lot of death, a lot of emotions flying around, and it isn’t even just the gods fighting other gods. Or Percy’s children fighting her other children(wish she begged them in her letter not to do, but she’s gone now; and her children are just as unhinged as their dads) . It also causes the humans to fight too because she was friends with a lot of them and a lot of them blame the Celtic people for 1)encouraging the views that made Cu think it was okay to do that (which is hypocritical because they still believe or once believed and would have done the same thing just due to the time period they were raised/born into, but a lot of them liked Percy so she was the exception) and 2) for not trying harder to keep him under control back when he was still a human on Midgard (Papa Adam is REALLY disappointed).

ANYWAY!

At this point, the war has gotten bad enough that the Fates, the Morrigan, the Norns, and all the other gods and goddesses related to fate and destiny realize that sooner or later the gods are going to end up fighting each other into extinction (with the humans in Vallhalla doing the same) and so they do some research (through their powers which were given to them by “the-Powers-that-Be” (which I actually mentioned in a chapter already but basically that’s the power that created them, their universe, and all the other universes that exist or will ever exist) and find out that, while Percy did die when she killed herself, for whatever reason, she didn’t end up going to Niflheim and instead got reincarnated into a different universe and nope🤭🤭it’s NOT the PJO universe. Which universe it is, I’m going to keep that a secret for now but I wouldn’t mind doing a poll to see which universe everyone would WANT her to be in. It might even help me decide. (just know it’s gonna be an anime universe. So either One Piece, Bleach, Naruto, or something else. It’ll have to be one I’ve read or watched before tho.) but it’s a secret, even to me, until I actually sit down and write this chapter.

Anyway, they find her reincarnated soul (in this I think I’m going to make it so that she only remembers SOME of her past life as a goddess and a demigod and it comes to her in her dreams) and, in order to stop the godly war that threatens the very foundations of their universe, they sit the Pantheons down (what’s left of them anyway) and tell them about what happened and where she is now. This, of course revitalizes the yans (ESPECIALLY CU!!!) because they see it as a second chance to get her back and make SURE she NEVER leaves them EVER again. (I’m talking they might actually lock her in a palace where they watch her every move 24/7 for the rest of eternity)

So they come up with a plan to basically kidnap her from this other plane. In this other universe tho, she’s lived a full, happy life. Sure it had some challenges (if she’s in One Piece I’m gonna make it so that she was Ace’s sister so she def fought in Marineford (love interest: Shanks), if in Bleach I’m making her the Captain of one of the divisions (Love interest:Sosuke Aizen 🤭🤭), if in Naruto ( I honestly can’t see her as an assassin/killer which is literally all ninjas are trained to do when u get to the crux of it so maybe like a political figure of peace? A daiymo maybe? Idk I’d have to figure it out (love interest: Kakashi Hatake, Itachi Uchiha, or Madara Uchiha depending on what time period I want her to be reincarnated into)

I plan on having her influence a lot of stuff, fall in love, have children with said Love Interest, and be an old lady by the time they start looking for her ( might have to write this in three parts since I do want to dedicate a chapter to her life in that other universe).

I’m still trying to figure out all the logistics since I want it to be believable and not just super random and unorganized because there are a lot of moving parts.

But my question to u is what do u think the yans will think (at this point in time) or do about an old, grandma version of Percy? Will it matter to them? She won’t be the same Percy at this point. She might remember some things about them but for the most part she won’t remember them and tho she might have the same morals as the last Percy, because of the stuff she went through in this new universe, she isn’t just physically different (old) but mentally too.

EVERYTHING HERE IS PERFECT BUT I JUST HAVE ONE CORRECTION:

as for your question, age wouldn't matter much to them cuz they can just forcefully revert her back to her prime or back to whatever age/appearance they last saw her as!

the issue is the mentality 😞 if she's too different (like if she's not the same sweet, cheery, uwu, and infuriatingly annoying and troublesome girl that they know, then they might actually feel defeated. it's percy.... but at the same time it's not THEIR percy

tbh they'd probably try to find a way to revert her back to the percy they know, but if that doesn't work or they can't do it, then it's back to despair and anger 💀

Ever since his life changed since finding out he was a demigod, Percy has tried everything in his power to hide this big secret

As much as this dude would love to tell you about all his adventures, the people he’s met and the places he’s seen, he knows he can’t

That would mean putting you in danger

If he were to tell you everything, there would be no going back. Your life would be filled with new dangers just because you’re with him

So Percy makes the difficult choice in keeping you in the dark about his demigod life 💔

He likes the sense of normalcy you make him feel

With how chaotic his life is already, being able to just lay with you on a night he’s not at camp offers him so much peace he’s been stripped away from

You make him feel like a normal teen living a normal life

This boy cherishes reader so much which is why he wants to protect them from knowing too much

He would rather keep this fake sense of normalcy than ever drag you into his world

But it gets to a point where you definitely notice the distance put between you both

When you were younger, you guys would share anything and everything with each other

But now it feels likes he knows more about you than you do about him

You know he’s hiding something

After all, Percy never really gives you a straight answer whenever you question him where he goes off to every summer

Why you never see him after summer vacation starts

Why he always returns with some kind of bandage and injury on him

Why it seems that even Rachel knows more about your boyfriend than you do😭 It makes you grow suspicious of what Percy’s hiding from you and why

It would definitely be a big cause on why a fight happens between y’all

While he believes keeping this huge thing in his life away from you is the safest choice, you only feel a growing distance settling in your relationship😭💔

“Why can’t you tell me what’s going on Percy? You never tell me anything anymore! It’s like you’re on a whole different world than I am!”

Percy wants to tell you. He wants to tell you that he’s a demigod. He wants to tell you of the secret hidden world of the Olympian gods. His heart breaks as you leave him, your own hurt and anger driving you further away.

He didn’t want you to get hurt but in the process, Percy didn’t even realize he was the one hurting you

She can’t stand seeing her son heartbroken and you being driven away from the whole situation

Sally suggests you give him some time, he’s really been going through it for the last couple of years💀💔

Percy listens to the advice his mom gives him. Letting you fully into his life is a huge commitment, she knows, but if he wants to keep you in his life, homeboy has to make a choice…

I think Percy would be able to keep being a demigod for a good couple of years tbh

It’s easier coming back and pretending nothing had tried killing him throughout the summer

But alas Percy does crumble and reveal everything to you after a couple of days since his moms convo. He tells you everything with a shaky voice, this dude can’t even look you in the eyes while he’s talking

And You just take it all. You don’t doubt him once, not with the way he looks like he’s telling you his darkest secret (in a way he kinda is?)

After all that fun, you guys grow so much CLOSER cuz now there’s literally no barriers between y’all

You ask so many questions about his life as a demigod and he’s just so happy that you’ve accepted that side of him</3

Does not shut his mouth once he begins telling you of all the quests he went on

And you’re just so concerned on the amount of times this dudes almost died😭😭

Being apart of this side of his life bought both of you together even closer, but that means you’re stuck with him for a looonnggg time

And you’re not complaining one bit. Not when you get to see your cool boyfriend thrive in this new world you found out was right under your nose

Can We Talk About Shifting and Religion?

Disclaimer: I myself grew up Catholic but now don't really identify with a religion, though I do still believe in a higher power, a "lower" power, if that's what you would like to call it, etc. ------------------------------------------ I've been thinking about shifting and religion for a while recently. I know some religious people don't engage in shifting because of their religion, some religious people have practices similar to shifting, others don't even care and shift too, yadda yadda. It's got me thinking. Let's say there is one god, we'll go with the Christian god for this scenario. There is one god, however, people shift to realities such as Percy Jackson. In that reality, there is a mixture of mythologies in one. Even in a Marvel DR, there's Thor and Loki. That's Norse mythology. Well, a variation of it. In actual mythology, Thor and Loki are not even brothers. So it makes me think, let's go back to the possibility of a Christian god. Keeping those things in mind, is it safe to assume there is not one higher power? In this reality, it is God, but in other realities, there are different creators of that planet, that solar system, galaxy, etc? I used to think of it as one god watching over all of these realities. So much so that I decided not to shift to any PJO or Marvel DR because of those other gods. Then I started straying from Christianity and started to think. In those realities, those gods literally exist. It is not the Christian god or Allah or any other entity that is believed in this reality. So my new belief: each reality is designed and created by a different higher power. Maybe some aren't created by a higher power at all, and just... came to be. I don't know what higher power controls this reality, if there is one. I believe there is. But I believe the creator of this reality might not be the same of the next I go to, or the one after, etc. Tell me your thoughts, I think this is really interesting :)

Okay I'll put part of this under a cut cuz it got kinda long but like. DC x PJO AU's are so easy to make, right. Because Wonder Woman exists. Greek gods are canon.

Demigod jason tho. i've got so many possible parents for him but imagine its persephone right. She's queen of the underworld, she's got some themes of rebirth going on (spring goddess, also the whole zagreus/dionysus thing). I imagine Catherine would be his other parent in this scenario. They'd meet when Catherine is taking a trip out of Gotham for a few days. Whirlwind romance kinda vibe. Catherine knows who Persephone is but she never tells anyone.

By the time her baby boy is born she's (back?) in a relationship with Willis. And Jason, despite his circumstances, is a happy kid. Monsters probably don't come to Gotham because the smell keeps them away (think Gabe's scent on Percy, I imagine a city with as much crime as Gotham probably leaves it's mark). Jason grows up on myths as bedtime stories, on going to the park and being unfathomably good with plants. Spring is his favorite season and sometimes he sees shades that might just be ghosts. I don't think Catherine ever told him, and so I don't think he ever went to Camp.

But life still happens. Willis goes to jail and dies. Catherine succumbs to her drugs. Jason comes home to a winged man bowed over her, who bows his head respectfully before whisking away.

And so he lives on the streets. And so he steals Batman's tires. And so he gets adopted and becomes Robin.

In the Manor he spends so much time in the gardens. His room is covered in plants. Spring is his favorite season but now that he's not at risk of dying during it, winter holds a special place in his heart. I imagine he gets along well with Ivy, though Bruce doesn't like it.

He still dies, of course. Maybe Sheila is on the birth certificate through some Mist shenanigans to keep Jason safer. Maybe Catherine is secretly still alive. Whichever version of the story you prefer, both have been canon.

And so he dies. And like Hermes is the one to pick him up, because Persephone is his half-sister and that's his nephew and Thanatos is always so busy anyways. And he convinces Charon to let him through and bring the kid across the river. They meet Persephone on the bank of the Styx, not that Jason knows who either of them are. The woman is familiar, though.

And Persephone drops on her knees in front of him, tears in her eyes as she holds his face.

"Seph. He needs to go through judgement."

"No. He'll go to Elysium."

"Persephone-"

"Do not take me for a fool, Hermes. I know how my own realm works. I've spoken to the judges and to my husband. He goes to Elysium. I would not risk him."

(spring is a cold one that year.)

So Jason has to wrap his head around the fact that he's part god. Because he knew Greek gods were real, of course, Wonder Woman is his favorite hero thanks, but he'd never thought it would have anything to do with him. He helps his mother in her garden some days, he meets his stepfather and his demigod stepbrother. He considers rebirth.

But then, of course, six months lates, late october maybe early november, he gets resurrected.

I imagine it would be hard for his mother to reach him. Communicating with someone who's brain dead is hard enough, especially if you have to do it through dreams he's not really aware of. And the Lazarus Pit is idk maybe something curse-like? Unnatural, at least, and scrambling Jason's head enough Persephone still can't talk to him.

So he trains and he kills and he obsesses over Bruce and Joker and Tim. Until, finally, he starts getting moments his head is clear enough for Persephone to contact him. And they're in a dream, and it's the calmest he's been in, how long has it been? He's still so, so, angry, and he won't regret what he's done, but he's also tired. His mom is right there and she seems so happy to see him and what the fuck is he doing, wasting his efforts on someone who obviously doesn't want him around?

Persephone gifts him a weapon and tells him to go to New York. That help will reach him there. That he needs to go to Dionysus. And he doesn't go immediately. He keeps training for a while, and the green still takes over sometimes. But eventually he calms down a little more. Talia would be hard to escape but New York is close enough to Gotham that, under the guise of wanting to put his plan in motion, he can hang around there a while without seeming too suspicious.

And so he goes. And he trudges around the city for a while. Nature spirits stare and whisper. Jason does his best to keep from lashing out.

Eventually he runs into Nico, who's in New York with idk Percy probably or maybe on a date with Will, and it's basically the Spider-Man point meme because no one exactly told Nico what the hell actually happened to that kid and Jason sure as fuck wasn't expecting to see him.

Anyway nico takes him to camp. Dionysus helps jason out bc Madness and that whole thing, and it clears most of the lazarus influence but he's still so fucking angry. But he's also tired. And he feels more connected to his mother here than he ever had back in gotham. And the kids at camp are as much child soldiers as he is. Persephone doesn't have her own cabin yet, and there's a bit of a debate if he's going to be put in the Demeter or Hermes cabin for the time being before they settle on Hades because only Nico really uses it. And he genuinely enjoys camp. He's got a better basis for sword fighting than most of the new kids so he gets put into the more advanced class. Learning a new style is fun. The climbing wall is a nice challenge. He picks strawberries with the Demeter cabin. He's decent enough at archery, but definitely a better marksman with guns. He finds out Bat-disappear-into-the-shadows-training works as well in a forest as on rooftops.

But then, a few months in, Wonder Woman visits. She'd never heard of Camp, before the wars, that'd been kept from her. She'd been furious when she'd found out the gods had used children to fight their wars. Tales of it are legendary, around camp.

All the little kids swarm her, of course, and everyone else follows. Jason doesn't. they make eye contact, briefly, and disbelief floods her face. Jason flees.

And at some point they do probably talk. Diana asks why he isn't home, jason says he isn't ready and when she pushes he spits out why (joker, tim, the usual). Diana explains some things (bruce being near suicidal, what shes gathered about how tim became robin). Jason isnt ready to let go of the anger yet, but when diana tells him he cant expect her not to tell bruce his son is alive he tells her to do what she wants.

Idk I just think it's neat. I've got ideas for him as 'son' of hestia kind of (look…. I know alright…. I just think it's near for the son of the goddess of hearth and home and family to feel like he doesn’t have a home or a family anymore alright. The angst). But also son of ares jason,,,, maybe son of mars theres some evidence apparently that he was worshipped in a protector of boys capacity, like with apollo. On one hand, son of dionysus (again rebirth but also madness), but then I like the headcanon of 'jason doesn’t go anywhere near addictive substances bc family history' a little too much. Also apollo, again protector of boys thing but also marksmanship to some extent. Could probably fly athena. Could definitely fly hermes. So many ideas.

Honestly I don't think Annabeth would ever really forgive her mortal family in fact I think she might hate them for a veryyy loooong time (the way she talked about in tlt was crazy like she did not like and the fact that she only tried to reconnect after losing luke says a lot) like family either blood or chosen has failed her and broke her beyond repair that she probably just decides fuck it being nobody's daughter was and is easier than this.

i totally see where you’re coming from. and i think it’s a realistic idea. they did make awful choices and they really really hurt her and messed her up. so it’s completely understandable why you and many other people think she’d continue to hate them.

let me explain why i personally believe otherwise

1. in the titans curse, when annabeth is in danger, frederick seems super worried about her and goes to great lengths - aka blindly attacking the titan army in his little plane - to rescue her. in addition, mrs. chase is also really concerned about her, and immediately tells percy and them to take their car to rescue her. she’s fully on board with doing whatever it takes to help annabeth. i wouldn’t be surprised if she was the one who told frederick to actually do something useful with his damn plane and rescue his daughter. and then before percy leaves, she tells him to make sure annabeth knows that she always has a home with them. this makes it clear her parents love her and want her to come home.

2. by the time she’s 16/17, annabeth seems to have improved her relationship with her father a lot. she recounts them spending time together and watching old movies together. she also says that her dad opened up to her emotionally, and admitted that he was still in love with athena. that’s some pretty deep stuff. so i think they had already significantly improved their relationship by that point in heroes. it’s far from perfect, but much stronger than before.

3. in blood of olympus, annabeth says “My dad… my stepmom and stepbrothers. After all I’ve been through in the past year, it seems stupid that I resented them for so long.” for one, she says “resented” past tense, implying she no longer feels that way. and second, it shows that she wants a better relationship with them. she regrets having pushed them away for so long.

your opinion is completely valid. and i think a lot of people ageee with you. the only reason i don’t is because there’s textual evidence that she wants a better relationship with her family. that, coupled with the fact that she lives in san francisco for 4 years while at college, where they’re nearby and she can see then anytime, makes me think it’s very likely they make up.

but as i’ve said in previous posts, i don’t think it comes easily. i think it takes time and a lot of honesty. probably some yelling and crying. and as i mentioned in a previous post (which you can find in my top posts) i think percy loses his shit on them at some point for treating annabeth the way they did.

as i said, you make a completely fair point! it’s an entirely possible scenario. and i love hearing all different perspectives. thank you for sharing!!

The day after she finds out, she's exhausted. Turns out, learning that the guy you've been hopelessly crushing on for months is a vampire doesn't exactly lead to a restful night's sleep. She tossed and turned all night, a cacophony of thoughts in her head far too loud to sleep through—how long, I'm an idiot, is he dangerous, what will Percy say, some witch I am, oh then there's his sister, that must be why he smells so good, what do I do?

Yeah. Not a lot of sleep last night.

So she's a zombie all day, has to hope she doesn't accidentally give someone belladonna for their headaches or something. She wishes she were home, but more than that, she's dreading the end of the day. Since the night they met—since the night he saved her dumb ass from a vampire—he has shown up just before close every day the shop is open, just to walk her home. Those walks have quickly become the most important part of her days, the only thing she looks forward to, really. It was on these walks that she started to fall in love with him—after he kissed her, of course, because she is, evidently, the most oblivious person alive.

But now what? Now she knows. Now she is a witch, and he is a vampire. Does he just...show up? Offer his arm, ask how her day went? Do they pretend she didn't see him feeding on someone last night?

The day drags on horribly, and yet before she can form a single logical thought for herself, it's over, and she needs to close up. Her legs are like lead as she walks to the door to flip the sign, anxious about what she may or may not see on the sidewalk outside, unsure what the ideal scenario even is—

The sidewalk is empty.

She flips the sign. Closed. Her chest feels hollow.

There's no point in counting the till. She'd never make it through. She locks up, turns off the lights, leaves the inventory for some future version of her that doesn't feel like she's coming apart at the seams. Bag on her shoulder, she heads out the front door, turning the key in the lock behind her.

"Hey, Kiki."

She screams. It's neither dignified nor romantic, just a blood-curdling scream as she leaps backward, nearly toppling into the street. Strong, long-fingered hands pull her up. "Sorry, sorry!"

Panting, Keyleth glares at him. "You almost gave me a heart attack."

His beautiful, smug face is biting back a smile. "Where was that scream when you were being attacked in an alley by a vampire?"

"I guess I was saving it for when I got attacked by a vampire outside my own store."

It's a low blow, and she instantly regrets it. He starts to shrink back from her, so she grabs onto his wrist and murmurs, "I thought you weren't coming."

Vax is looking at her with those big brown eyes she's never seen in the sunlight. "I wasn't sure you wanted me to."

"Neither was I." She's an idiot, in so many ways. "But when I thought you weren't going to..." She squeezes his wrist, hoping he'll understand what she doesn't know how to say.

He smiles, and Keyleth knows in that instant that there is no where in this world she would not follow him. "Do you mind if I do most of the talking tonight? I...have some things I'd like to tell you."

Keyleth wants to hear all of it. She leans in to press a kiss to his cheek, a promise, a hope. "Let's go."

so the...i guess pseudo-incest of lukabeth coinciding with all of the other layers of their relationship is really fucking facinating to me. you have luke feeling almost fatherly towards annabeth in the early demigod diaries days, then she says he's like an older brother to her in tlo...but ofc you also have her crush on him in tlt, and Whatever his death speech was that's gonna be debated about until the end of time.

so in this scenario you've given me anon, i kinda crafted together an AU in a similar space as my power of neptune lukercy college AU. i'm imagining a percabeth breakup pre-college, though they both go to New Rome Uni, & luke is the resident advisor for percy's dorm (per his sentence of service to the gods for sparing his life, Or Whatever). luke & annabeth meet again, and although it's been years and everything is different, they both have this desperation for things to go back to the way they once were. they find themselves in a bubble of unspoken peace, growing closer than ever before, especially given the aftermath of the war & annabeth's distance from percy. she finds herself in need of an old friend turned...whatever they are.

& luke has good intentions. probably. he probably wants to, at least.

i think at a certain point in something-or-other semester, annabeth & luke have done...some things together. it doesn't even feel like a natural progression to their relationship—it feels like just another piece of the puzzle, just another equal element to all the late-night study dates and in-depth talks. they haven't done all the things—& probably at luke's insistence, too. he wants to be sure that she's making good choices, & although he knows he's Not a good choice, he can't help but give in to how much he wants her sometimes.

luke would probably be very...apologetic in bed, & take his time, using his experience with only annabeth in mind. iykyk 😵‍💫

& annabeth knows that percy already knows about their relationship. he wants to drown luke in the little tiber, & it's only at annabeth's insistence & an urge for normality that he doesn't.

thalia would probably hunt luke for sport if she knew. so she doesn't.

needless worldbuilding aside, i can picure a day like any other in which annabeth is getting ready to go to lecture. luke is lounging on her bed, catlike, reading a book but not really reading so much as watching annabeth change clothes. she puts on a skirt and one of piper's crop tops, just because she likes to feel cute sometimes. she can feel luke's eyes on her before she meets his gaze in the mirror.

annabeth asks if he has a problem. luke tells her he doesn't want her going out like that.

of course, she laughs. that had to be a bit. she could wear whatever she wanted, anyone's opinions be damned. she tells him as much, and that she ought to cut his tongue out if that was how he was going to speak to her.

luke tells her she likes his tongue too much to do that. annabeth's face flushes, momentarily at a loss for words. touché, castellan.

still, they continue this little disingenuous game of cat & mouse. at one point, annabeth asks something along the lines of "who do you think you are, my dad?"

and this is one dangerous poke at the bubble. if this goes wrong, it could shatter this beautiful space of denial that they've created.

luke just gets to his feet, walking towards annabeth. she backs away, further and further until her back hits the wall. she's not scared. she's curious, and excited. and maybe a little nervous, the edges of her emotion tinted with nausea.

luke stands about a half a foot taller than her. he used to be even taller. annabeth wonders if she misses it, or if she wants to get heels to meet him.

he leans towards her, kissing along her jawline, up to her cheek and down to her lips. he kisses her like he's still dying sometimes, and she's the last of his holy ambrosia.

"i just wanna take care of you, babygirl," luke murmurs. he kisses down her neck, hands roaming to explore annabeth's exposed skin as if he were being allowed to for the first time. "let me take care of you, like 'm s'posed to..."

annabeth's stomach drops. she swallows. luke was supposed to take care of her. he failed. and annabeth had picked up the pieces, taken care of herself for the last seven years. in what world should she give luke another chance?

but she does. goddamnit, she does.

she nods. luke drops to his knees like he's praying for his fucking life, more urgently than he'd ever had for a real diety.

annabeth runs her fingers through luke's hair as he puts his mouth to work. his hair is just as soft as she remembers from when she put bows in it as a kid. it's just as soft as she remembers from when she was nursing him with ambrosia after the war.

she doesn't know when or why exactly the word "daddy" slips from her lips, though it does. it's never something they talked about doing. they probably should have had a conversation about that. but fuck it, right? she never called her own dad that, so it was fair game.

luke's efforts falter, the moment possibly the longest in time before he doubles his efforts. he moans against her, the vibrations spurring her to pull his hair harder, to murmer "daddy" between just about every plead and moan of her own.

and then annabeth's hips jolt, and she's coming so intensely that her stomach hurts. she pants, grasping luke's hair like a lifeline, grinding down on his lips and tongue until she's milked every last drop of her high.

annabeth recollects her thoughts and breath, wishing she could stay in post-orgasm bliss forever. she wishes she didn't have to address what just happened.

luke stands, licking his lips, the sight leaving annabeth a little weak in the knees.

"don't you need to be getting to class?" luke asks hoarsely.

thank the gods. he's giving her an out, some more time before they could no longer hold this dynamic up, & everything would come crashing down.

annabeth nods. "you don't mind that i'm wearing this?" she asks, unsure of why she cares.

luke shrugs. "i just like riling you up, babygirl," he grins, grabbing her ass from under her skirt and over her underwear. "wear what you want. i'm the only one who gets to touch you, anyways."

annabeth's attendance at lecture is essentially useless. she can only think of luke & what it all meant—the word "babygirl" on his lips, and the word "daddy" on her own.

just by virtue of having to craft a scenario for it

Peter and Remus both already kind of have one built in (both kind of fucked up ones but you know it's there) And Pericus has that whole leaving their families thing to lean on

While with James when he died Percy was like five so like

you have to like decide what AU you want to play with

with that in mind take all of this with a grain of salt im making stuff up as go

Like I do think Time Travel could work with them possibly if the scenario played out well

and by that i mean I think that the time travel method itself has to be kinda obvious and that the Marauders have to be the ones to find him

My logic with this is

we already know because of Remus that James would be interested in something that screams adventure and intrigue because it's already happened once so i just think as long as nothing else is putting him off about him.

Then Percy coming out of seemingly no where despite this being somewhere like Hogwarts where he wouldn't be able to apperate would be able to fuel his curiosity for awhile

I keep just thinking that James is convinced Percy's just also a secret Animagus

Also Percy's kind of like Lily if you squint, and take a step back, and turn your head to the side a bit so could make for a rebound

point is easy way to make any ship you want with the marauders imo because it can put them in a situation where their old world is gone and their only choice is to pick up what they can and move along

Even more so with Weasley one's since we know the twins had the map for years so you can have James "wake up" at any point you want

Percy doesn't share a room with anyone so if you were to have it happen pre-war and have the Weasley's just take James in. It would make the most sense to room him with Percy since even if James is the youngest he could possibly be he'd be closer to Percy's age then to Ron's

Yeah yeah Bill and Charlies room would be empty so yeah he could stay there too and it would work too because then he'd be pushed to sleep in Percy's room when Bill and Charlie come to the burrow for holidays and such which could be just as fun because then they would have short times of not being used to it vs constantly being in each other's space

I just read "Being Alpha and Omega" and... of course I came up with a sad ending.

Perseus dies when Percy is expecting their firstborns. It was supposed to be a simple task — Hydra raged in the lands nearby new Rome in the lands where mortals lived and a group of too green demigods-legionnaires who had to deal with it requested the help of one of the great heroes. But they all had hyper important things to do except Percy.

Percy wanted to go and help, it was only the fifth month of pregnancy and he was going through worse things. One hydra should have been fine. But Perseus wouldn't let him in because he was worried about him and their children. Instead, so that Percy wouldn't worry and torment himself with the remorse of his stupid conscience, Perseus volunteered to help.

And the worst-case scenario happened.... Hydra somehow became stronger, it killed almost the entire group of legionnaires and seriously mortally wounded Perseus, who still managed to kill her.

He stops a young beta-girl, the daughter of Salus, who was trying to heal his profusely bleeding wound and in a hoarse voice asks her to tell Percy that he loves him, is infinitely grateful to him for happiness, even short-term, and he is very, very sorry that he will not be able to see their son and daughter.

(The girl was named Persea, and the boy was named Kostas... It was middle name of name of Perseus).

I'm... trying to figure out how to phrase this in the kindest way possible.

Summary: There isn't exactly a Protector's Handbook with a chapter on what to do if you find yourself trapped in Cerberus's mouth, so Grover decides to tackle the problem the best way he knows how: by singing the consensus song.

What Grover never mentioned to the others—what he never felt he had to confess might be a better way to say it—is that there’s a reason he was glad they didn’t take a plane to California. Another reason. A reason that has nothing to do with the three of them spending the flight huddled anxiously in the bathroom until lightning bolts blast the wings off and Percy has to save them with airplane toilet water. Which Grover, who may have dreamed that exact scenario on the train to St. Louis, doesn’t doubt Percy could have done. For the record.

The other reason he was happy not to take a plane is turbulence. He’s super not into it. Rough travel can be fun when it’s his hooves over uneven ground. It’s not even the worst, in terms of messing with his inner ears, to be on a bus during a Fury attack. Or on a train with a rampaging Chimera. A car being rammed by a Minotaur! If Grover were to explain, if he had to tell Annabeth and Percy, he has quite the portfolio of turbulent travel situations to use as proof that he’s fine 99% of the time.

Boy, it really feels like the gods are laughing at him for managing to skip the plane only to end up bouncing along in one of Cerberus’s three mouths.

This is a heavy dog, and he takes big leaps. Grover is lofted up against the solid roof of the dog’s mouth, then dropped back down on its warm, rubbery tongue. And the whole place stinks. Hades can’t get in here with a toothbrush every once in a while? It smells like Cerberus has been using the Styx as his own personal water bowl. (The scent is misery with base notes of the abandonment of all hope.) Numbed by the stench, all Grover can do at first is subject himself to a mental montage of the greasy diner food and convenience store snacks he’s been living on. Not even the good stuff, like soda cans and tins of peanuts with the peanuts dumped out.

What breaks through his fixation on the contents of his churning stomach is one word: bumpy.

Because he’s not really big on self-pity, Grover scrambles to his knees between bounds and does his best to brace himself inside Cerberus’s mouth just enough to feel like he has a little bit of control. Hey, he feels less nauseous already!

“Oh golly!” he shout-sings, and immediately regrets it; Cerberus cocks his head at the noise and jerks to a stop. Grover cringes as he’s tossed against the dog’s teeth.

“Sorry,” he says, softer. “I guess six ears are more sensitive than two, huh?”

Cerberus’s answering whine vibrates Grover bone-deep before the dog starts moving again—a jaunty walking pace that’s ramping back up into a full-out run.

“Let’s try this again,” Grover says to himself, getting situated between tongue and palate.

He clears his throat.

“Oh, golly, the road’s gettin’ bumpy ’cause I got me…” He considers the dark, reeking cavern in which he crouches. “…a hound dog who just won’t slow down. Oh, dear. When the heads are gettin’ bouncy, the trick to settled tummies is…”

Is??? Grover thinks, because it’s a lot harder to come up with rhymes when you’re lurching down the bank of the River Styx in something’s mouth than it is when you’re packing a bag at camp based on what you think your co-questers are most likely to forget.

“…a trip to singin’ town,” he picks up.

Percy and Annabeth never let him get to verse two (where you say nice things about each other, building goodwill on the path to consensus). Cerberus hasn’t spat Grover out or tried to swallow him, so, honestly, after having his friends interrupt his debut performance, he’s taking it as encouragement to keep singing. He claps a hand against his opposite arm steadily until the words come to him. It’s weird but either he’s matched his claps to Cerberus’s footfalls or the dog’s running to his beat.

“Oh, Cerby, you’re good at bein’ grumpy, you make a great guard dog, your fur’s all black and brown.” The last one’s more of an observation than a compliment, and Grover winces, hoping Cerberus is more affected by his happy tone than the exact words.

“Good boy,” Grover sings, not meaning it. “You don’t need to run fast. (In fact, slower’s prob’ly better.) A trip to singin’ town.”

His eyes widen as, miraculously, Cerberus slows. Grover lets his clapping trail off. The dog stops, he sinks. Though it feels like this mouth-elevator has reached the ground floor, he’s not opening up to let Grover out. Suddenly, a snore rumbles through him. Seems like it’s probably now or never; Grover wriggles out between Cerberus’s huge teeth, getting a thorough slime bath as he pushes past the dog’s slobbery jowls.

He's relieved to see Percy, but he directs his first words at Cerberus: “You are a bad, bad dog!”

And he is a good, good singer, he thinks, even after he realizes Annabeth has literally scaled the side of Hades’ hound to give the dog neck scritchies. And maybe Percy helped too, fearlessly standing his ground in the path of the charging dog. Three heads are really better than one! Grover glances sideways at Cerberus. Three heads are better in some circumstances.

There’s not much time, so he listens to the others’ plan, using the shoes to lift Percy off the ground and fly him up the cliff. But the dog’s getting restless; Grover can hear growling noises that do not indicate peaceful slumber. After a harrowing minute of separation and a squeak of the red ball, Annabeth joins them at the top of the cliff. She launches the ball and Cerberus gives chase. The three of them stand there for a moment, breathing hard. But Grover just can’t keep it in.

“I GAVE YOU COMPLIMENTS!” he shouts after the dog. “YOU DON’T JUST ATTACK A GUY AND HIS FRIENDS RIGHT AFTER THE CONSENSUS SONG!”

Still outraged, he turns to his friends.

“What was that thing the Oracle said about betrayal again? Percy?”

But Percy isn’t listening, so Grover looks to Annabeth for support. The scrunch of her eyebrows and the slant of her mouth say she has no idea why he’s bringing up the consensus song right now (and why would she? Grover doesn’t mind that a ride in Cerberus’s mouth is one part of this quest he experienced alone). Regardless, Annabeth pats him on the shoulder.

“Yuck,” she says, withdrawing her hand and staring at her drool-slicked palm.

Grover sighs.

“Yeah. Tell me about it.”

Bc let me tell you when I've been THINKING of Al potentially rescuing Percy or not and how that might affect his standing with his mom and most importantly Kronos. Especially if the Titans learn Annabeth fucking Chase waltzed into Olympus casually

in the ficlet i wrote, i was writing al as someone who already has misgivings about the way the titans are ruling, so the encounter with annabeth finally forces him to genuinely consider doing something. in any au that isn't mortal/fluff, i always intend to have al (try to) double-cross people who could be his allies because... hes a lil bitch like that.

but anyway: with his mom being the goddess of crossroads, i thought it would be fitting for al's savior complex ass to go like "im going to make me OWN path!" so he double crosses both annabeth and the titans. percy is suddenly mysteriously dead before his scheduled execution; alabaster insists that he be given proper burial rights, and no one thinks it's odd because they know al can be a little sanctimonious about ideals and all that. color them all surprised when al and percy mysteriously disappear.

i think in this scenario al wouldn't take his siblings with him (too much potential collateral and would slow them down), but he and his mother work something out to protect them even under kronos' reign while al and percy... do shit. but yeah it's definitely a risky gamble that puts the hecate sibs' lives on the line

re: episode 6 and who Grover is going to say is the traitor

Anyone else have a fear in the back of their mind that they're going to drop the Luke bomb early? Everyone, those who have criticisms with the show and those who love the show are talking about pacing pacing pacing. So would this be part of that pacing we're talking about? Moving up vital parts or wiping them away completely for the sake of pacing?

what that scene at the end of episode 5 has given me is one horrifying thought about what Grover found out, or what he thinks he found out.

I suspect (and hope) that Grover will think that Clarisse is the lightning thief which, okay. that's fine, (actually more than fine, it might be the first change that I really, really like.) It moves up some other conversations/thoughts; pretty sure I remember that Percy suspects that she's the lightning thief after they find out Ares planted the bolt on them in Denver. It definitely plays on the clear rivalry between he and Clarisse that we've established from the start. I'm excited for all the implications it could mean. Does Percy finish his quest angry at her? She hones in on him at camp, messing with him, telling everyone, and trying to show that he's not strong enough; and then frames him to solidify her effort to get rid of him? Does he go back to camp guns blazing at Clarisse, telling everyone she's the traitor?

That all said, that's the best case scenario. Grover saying that anyone else is the traitor/lightning thief might be a let down now that I've gotten excited over this. And yes, it's highly doubtful that he's going to say that its Luke, but on the off chance that this happens, can you imagine how it's going to play out the following two episodes? (Like, truly why the f is Hermes at the Lotus Hotel anyways?)

My problem with it is because Annabeth and Luke's relationship is not the same in the show as it is in the book. It doesn't feel as strong or as loyal. Annabeth is so, so adamant that Luke can be saved. It's been a while but I think she stays that way until she's taken in ttc. It's a big point of contention between Annabeth and Percy, I remember there being a point when they refused to talk about Luke together because they breakout into fighting even. And even then she watches him fall from a cliff in ttc she is able to keep hope that he's still alive.

In the show we have yet to see them have an interaction. We know they know each other well, Annabeth tells Percy that he was the one who was friendly with her while they traveled to Camp-- Thalia being more standoffish. And Luke goes far enough to call her his sister! but we never see the proof behind that. There's no scene of them talking, I don't even know if they talk about Capture the Flag on screen. And I know this sounds silly but Annabeth isn't shown to have the same girlhood crush she has on Luke in the book. If it exists, we don't know yet. Silly as the crush is those things make you blind to failures and mistakes. It's one of the main reasons why Percy believes Annabeth keeps a soft spot for Luke.

I have a feeling that if Grover dropped the Luke bomb that his only defender would be Percy. That's the only relationship we've taken with us from Camp. With the differences they've made with Annabeth's character, there's no way she'd defend Luke after hearing that. Her show personality is too honest and distrusting; she'd probably hear that, play it over in her mind and be like, "Okay yeah makes sense." without explaining her reasoning as to why she came to that conclusion. And there's nothing that we have to back up anything different other than Luke's offhanded comment that "Annabeth's my sister." in episode 2.
