This is a list of ideas/headcanons of the tfa fandom that crossed my mind, piled into one giant mess. Enjoy.

those are things that i consider canon in my works. (outside of AUs)

PLEASE READ- THE LIST KEEPS BEING UPDATED.

1. Bee has a golden voice when singing, he’s anxious about it tho. [the whole headcanon explained] After some time and events this scenario happens and Bee gets more comfortable around others.

2. Bee is basically a stuntman when skating. Casual or on battlefield, his actions are purely impulsive. Sometimes he’s lucky and pulls off that sick move... sometimes he ends up in medbay for many long hours. Here’s an example.

3. Bee is a good actor, he can lie on the spot and get away with it... most of the time. He’s also good at hiding his emotions. Fake it till you make it... or at least before Prowl comes knocking at your door.

4. Bee has 3 modes; Chaotic/Feral Gremlin, Kind Child and on rare occasion; Lazy Ferret. When he dates someone, there comes a 4th one; Lovestruck Idiot.

5. Bee is the early bird and wakes up way before the rest of the Autobots. He’s made a little routine of making the morning oil for the rest of the team. It’s the only thing he can “cook” really.

6. Sari keeps the weird healing powers the key had when she upgrades herself. Ratchet helps her figure it out and teaches her cybertronian first aid.

7. Rachet knows human curses and will use them when things are going down.

8. Sari and Bee are the young sibblings™. Prowl plays the role of the babysitter, keeping those two out of trouble.

9. Bee often vents to Prowl about topics he wouldn’t talk about with anyone. They have an unspoken agreement to never do anything to mess with the other when it comes to these meetings.

10. Prowl is accidentally creepy, he will eavesdrop or spy on someone unintentionally. He doesn’t mean it, but his curiosity can get the best of him sometimes. Here’s a list of things he eavesdropped so far.

11. Optimus is a kindsparked leader, he’ll think of the person’s wellbeing first instead of “is this okay with the law?”

12. Bulkhead sometimes helps the architects with building stuff, he likes the art aspect and the job is easy cuz he can carry like few tons of materials at once.

13. Random!Blitz will eat various things that are definitelly not meant to be eaten. Glow sticks, scraps, paint and even some organic things. He also chews on anything that he find appealing. Somehow, he has yet to end up in medbay for doing that.

14. Blitzwing likes to sculpt, he’ll carve in wood, stone, ice and metal.

15. Bee likes to set up harmless traps to mess with Prowl, his time repairing space bridges taught him how to construct things. He’s quite crafty. Unfortunatelly, Prowl still remmebers how to pull a prank in return. Here’s one of them.

16. There’s 2 versions of Megatron: cold and sadistic villain(canon) or scary but thoughful “father”(Cons Are Good AU)

17. Longarm(Shockwave) actually kinda likes Bee. The bot is optimistic, kind and funny. He likes to hang out with the scout and have some fun, but other than that he focuses on his duties as a traitor Prime.

18. Lugnut is Lugnut, he’s basically in love with Megs. Megs wants nothing to do with him except for work.

19. There’s 2 versions of Decepticons; they either want to to take over Cybertron(canon) or want equal rights and fix whatever the council has fucked up. (Cons Are Good AU)

20. Autobots and Decepticons are not separate species of transformers like i often see. They just have different builds and codings. A transformer who’s not aligned with any of the factions doesn’t have any specific behavior attached, it all depends on what they learn as a sparkling. If they choose a faction, an additional coding is added to their system which might alter their behavior slightly.

21. Since time units are very confusing in the fandom i decided to settle on this: Nanoklik (1 second), Klik (1 minute), Joor (1 hour), (Solar/Lunar)Cycle (day/night), Decacycle (week), Orbital Cycle (month), Stellar cycle (1 year). Then it all goes like normal; decades, centuries, millennia. Sometimes i will use other transformer time terms when i don’t know what else to use.

22. Ratchet, despite being a medic, dismissed his own small damages. He says he will take tare of them later but never does, which later comes back as a bigger problem. Like a trembling wheel, dimmed light or glitched comm piece. He’s learned to go fix himself when reminded about them or look for Sari.

23. Prowl has a bad habit of nightly snacking, he meditates all day long and sometimes forgets to refuel. Bad habit but he’s not really keen on stopping.

24. Shockwave/Longarm is the tech folk, the one who manages files and all, but he’s also somewhat of a medic. He knows how to patch system errors/viruses as well as fix some external damages.

25. Megatron actually remembers Optimus’ name, he just chooses to avoid using it because he has a grudge agaist the Prime for kinda offlining him.

26. Prowl doesn’t die in my timelines/AUs. Nor does Blurr. Nobody does(permanently). I just can’t let them.

27. Claws and sharp dentae are a basic upgrade you get when becoming Decepticon. Based on the frame type, there are few exceptions, example: Blitzwing has both sharp teeth and claws, but Lugnut has only sharp teeth cuz his servos are not compatible with the claws. Same with Shockwave but he's only got claws.

28. Bee was raised in the orphanage, he never brought it up to anyone. The only one to know might be the one he’d date. [See this post but exclude the adoption part]

29. Since Shockwave has 2 forms, he has something similar to Blitzwing’s multiple personalities thing- it’s not that intense, but there is a weird switch in his mind that he can activate on command. He is more laid back and cheery when he’s Longarm. When he’s Shockwave he’s very calm and focused- It’s his peak performance form, so to say. A weird thing that happens with Longarm is that he’ll be focused and calm with everyone but the second he, Bee and Bulkhead are alone- it’s time for wild fun.

30. Everyone thinks Random is the cannibal. He’s not, Icy is the one enjoying devouring a fellow mech. He keeps quiet about it, Random is just hyping it up like he usually does with everything.

31. Blackarachnia may be a mad scientist but she would help someone out if they begged her enough. She’d do everything to fix a bot- but then use them for her own goals. Every “transaction” you make with her will have the consequences... well, unless she’s “feeling generous”- which is like a miracle and you’ve probably made her feel bad if she does this.

32. Bumblebee loves to dress up. He loves human clothes, he loves cosmetic upgrades, he liked the temporary paint that is make up. He’ll never admit or show it though. He feels like if he does, he’s gonna be judged and everyone’s gonna stop liking him. Dressing up makes him feel like he’s truly pretty and amazing. He doesn’t want that feeling crushed if others find it weird and tell him to stop. Idk if “Drag Queen” is the correct term for this but he defo likes dresses and painted details like make up.

33. Bee dresses up for Halloween with Sari. Despite what i said in the previous point, he allows himself to dress up in cool costumes- usually the classics like a vampire or ghost. Never anything cute tho- those costumes are saved for his time alone. One time he made himself look like the haunted black taxi from that one movie- Optimus was on patrol and heard about some shady car scaring people so he went to check it out. Poor Bee tried to scare him too and got send to medbay. Optimus apologized for two days after that incident.

34. Bee has a job that earns him human money- in some weird chain of events he met a guy with a shop that sells old and damaged stuff. He offered to pay Bee money to bring him old stuff from garbage yards/trash stations that may be restored and sold. So now he has a fun and productive way of earning money to buy new games. He goes treasure hunting at least once a week.

35. Bee is really flexible and can basically squeeze anywhere he desires. No one knows how he does it and he constantly gets stuck in weird places. You wouldn’t think he’d fit into that heavy duty airvent, but alas, he’s there waiting for help. 

36. Bumblebee and Prowl are almost the same height; motorbikes are small, even when compared to tiny cars. Prowl is only few inches taller than Bee. He is very thin in build, Bee is more bulky and wide. Bee is also physically stronger than Prowl- Prowl is always using tactics and momentum and physics and such to gain advantage over stronger enemies.

37. Bee is a natural climber- being the short bot, it’s obvious he has to climb to reach that shelf. His servos have rough pads on them to help him stick to sufaces better. It’s especially effective with earth’s buildings since they’re made of rough concrete.

38. Bee naps in riduculous places, he’s like a ferret. He’ll squeeze or climb into places and sometimes get stuck there so others have to get him out. His favorite places to nap are Bulkheads subspace and under his berth.

39. Bee will learn anything about any game just to win. He has a self-claimed title “Game King”. One time he found out about Prowl liking chess- he spend the next few cycles on research and perfecting his skill with online chess. The “Game King” title has been made valid by everyone after Prowl got obliterated in chess by Bee.

40. Prowl has to temporarily move out of his room in winter because there is no roof. He has a back-up room for when the snow starts piling up and he can’t recharge in it. He also has to recharge in the back-up room when there is a heavy downpour and his room floods.

41. Each Team Prime member has their own love language/way fo showing affection/care. [Here i listed them]

42. At some point in the story, Bee and Bulkhead would become Amicas. Not Conjunxes(spouses)- they are Amicas(long-term best friend). [this and this]

43. I imagine Bumblebee would be a great parent- sure he’s reckless most of the time but when it comes to Sparklings- something in his mind switches and he goes full ‘Mama Bear mode’. [exaples: this and this]

44. Optimus is a great cook, he especially loves to bake. Bee is into mixology- he makes morning oil for everyone after all. Prowl cooks with organic ingredients for Sari, he wants her to eat more healthy so he takes it upon himself to make sure she does. [anker post]

45. Bee loves racing, in AU or not. He’ll go up to anyone and challange them to a race. The winner gets the respect of being faster. Blitzwing is Bee’s go-to race rival, they have fun together and mess around on some occasion. [anker post]

46. Bee got crayons from Bulkhead. Sometimes he will draw things- he drew a picture for their first christmas and everyone loves it, it’s hanging in the main room now.

I didn't want to do this because I already have one fanchild I created and don't really do anything with that I didn't want to make another one, but I did for shellshocked and I'm gonna make it everyone's problem.

If you all remember one of the AUs I talked about where Miles and Mikey were roommates, this would take place in that world.

Prepare yourselves for a bunch of incomplete ideas that are subject to change.

Okay to start off, this yokai mad scientist managed to steal DNA from Mikey and Miles (don't ask me how) in order to create an army of mutant super-soldiers with the abilities of the web-slinging hero and one of the most powerful mystic users for some reason. I specifically had it be a yokai to justify how they were able know of Mikey and steal his DNA. (I had the Dark Turtles from TMNT 2003 on my mind when thinking of the concept)

Once they get tipped off about what's happening, the two subdue the scientist and destroy any traces of their genetic material when they come across a baby clone already in development. They make the quick decision to free him from his containment and bring him back to their place.

**Unnecessary side note: The kid isn't a newborn. He's at least a few months old, old enough to be able to sit up on his own. I just wanted to clarify that.**

They wait at least a week before they introduce AJ (shellshocked kid) to their families.

They wanted to make sure he was okay and that he would be y'know stable, so they went to the Spider Society (in my opinion they owe Miles) to see if he was healthy and what abilities they could expect he would develop.

They also went to Draxum since he is like the go-to person for all things mystics.

Outside of all those people, Miles' parents are the first to meet AJ.

So officially, his full name is AJ Dario Hamato-Morales.

Originally, I wanted AJ to be short for Aaron Jefferson, but then I thought about it some more and liked the names Amari Jasper (or Jackson) better.

August was also considered a name because I thought it would be cute for his other nickname to be Auggie, but since I've seen August used as a name mainly for April's parents in fics I thought not to.

I guess I should talk about Mikey and Miles relationship. They're in their mid-20s and are roommates (in Brooklyn, NY), but they're also in this weird pre-dating stage where they're practically together but are (not so) oblivious to how they feel and act with each other. I'm just gonna say this all happens before they officially have a first date.

Now to get into my headcanons for AJ:

** Has a Mothra plushie.

** Looks human but possesses some of the traits of both a spider and turtle.

Able to wall-crawl. (Hadn't decided if he has spider-sense)

Able to secrete venom which can temporarily immobilize a person when bitten. Mikey and Miles are the only ones immune to it.

Gets a bit sluggish when really cold.

Does not have shell to retract into but instead bundles up in blankets or hoodies to feel safe.

** Was able to float a lot when younger. When older, has to relearn how to do that whenever he wants to.

** Has a Spider-Bot like the ones from the Disney Junior show Spidey and His Amazing Friends. Gifted one when he was 6 or 7 years old.

I want to say that Miles made the bot but had help from Lunella (yes I'm still on about that rottmntxmarvel crossover).

** Miles remained in contact with Miles 42/Miles G, so AJ knows him as "Uncle Milo."

Poppy Playtime Headcanons (some spoilers ahead):

Personally I see the toys as adults.

No, I don't say that for weird porn reasons. I don't think Playtime Co. would've gave their "family friendly" abominations the anatomy to do anything like that. But they do have human nervous systems and are strongly implied to have humanlike organs, given how the Bron experiment tape explicitly mentions lungs and a thyroid gland.

It just makes more sense to me that they'd be, neurologically and perhaps hormonally, akin to adults. Horribly traumatized adults whose brains have developed in strange and frightening ways to cope with what's been done to them, but adults no less.

I do not subscribe to really any theory that focuses on souls and rituals and stuff. This game leans a little more science fiction than fantasy in my opinion, compared to, say, FNAF or Bendy and the Ink Machine. The process to turn someone into a toy isn't a ritual but instead a procedure. The people doing the dark shit aren't cultists but scientists.

In my general headcanon, Theodore Grambell was 7 years old when he was transformed into CatNap in 1990, making him 12 at the time of the Hour of Joy, and 22 in the game.

Similarly, I headcanon Marie Payne to have been 10 years old when she was turned into Mommy Long Legs (because of her maternal behavior towards the other kids and experiments; big sister vibes) in 1991, making her 14 during the Hour of Joy, and 24 in the game.

Mostly I say all this as a reference point for my own sort of Hurt-Comfort AU, which I'm tenatively calling the Recovery AU. Basically, instead of an employee returning to the factory, it's a former orphan who used to live there, and the young adult makes the decision to rescue her old friends by whatever means she can.

Of course, the bulk of the AU is what happens after they all get out of there. It's easy to end a story of great suffering with a cathartic death - the long fall, the crusher, the closing shutter, the stabbing hand, all after a long and terrifying chase sequence - but it's a lot harder to take those same characters and see how they might adjust to the "real world" outside the very specific circumstances that turned people into monsters. I want to see how Huggy Wuggy or Kissy Missy navigate therapy without the ability to speak or use normal hand signs. I want to see Mommy Long Legs reunite with her foster mom and shed tears at the feeling of the sun on her face. I want to see CatNap get deprogrammed and learn how to value himself and others without dipping into black and white thinking. I want to see Poppy try desperately to keep up with technology that is already far beyond anything she could have imagined when she was first "created" and locked away.

I am saving most of my asks for when I can draw tomorrow but this one is more personal so I won’t illustrate it. Honestly? I don’t think anyone in portal, in canon, should / needs to be shipped with anyone. The story wouldn’t be improved with it, so there’s that, I don’t feel like anyone really needs to be together or whatever.

Chelley is definitely a ship that had to grow on me, I can only see it happening under specific circumstances and I’m not really one for human x inanimate non-human object so Wheatley being humanoid also is a necessity for me for me to enjoy it. overall though? I think if it’s done right it’s incredible, I’m a sucker for hetero ships that go against your usual stereotypes and this really can go a lot of ways, and can really dig into both Wheatley and chell as characters in ways that I feel the games simply couldn’t in any scenario! Chell is super put together and stern, Wheatley is very all over the place and can really use someone stable like chell to help him with any anxiety he would have, and she gets some weird little loser who she finds charming, win win.

Tl;dr I ship them in certain scenarios when Wheatley is more expanded as a character, I feel like they can work!! And they can work in lots of AUs too and stay pretty truthful.

Wheatley head canons is a toughie, I do feel like he’s the most shallow of the three main characters, not in a bad way, but you know everything he’s about by the end of the game really. I like the idea he was programmed to destroy himself after however long not plugged into chell, the scientists sort of just set him loose for some menial task thats out of the way and waited for him to break down, but he was so bad at it that he ended up not being able to / forgetting, so he assigned himself like “mhm yep I’m looking over the humans that’s what I do.” He calls them smelly because most of them are, well, corpses by the time he gets to many of them.

I also think that he likely has a Swiss Army knife of random functions that he can do that he still thinks he will die if he does them, like he’s just some generic core they downloaded some idiot AI into, they didn’t want Glados letting him eject (don’t eject from your rail or you will die) or using any other of his functions to her advantage, but instead of disabling them, which would take, you know, work- they just told him he would die.

I've never thought of that before (besides crying over Mahiru’s dream family she mentioned lol) so this was real fun to think about >:) I’m assuming the Milgram events all occur, but somehow everyone makes it out and tries to move on with their lives as best as they can. It'd be really cool story of all these kids meeting up and slowly uncovering their parents trauma/secrets...

For a lighter tone, it could be a very cute “kid detectives meeting up and making a little club to talk about mysteries of the past with their weird pet rabbit :)” But of course you could keep the darker canon tone, and have these ordinary children from wildly different walks of life discovering the bloody secrets that have haunted their family.

Either way, it'd be cool to set it up the same way we’re discovering the crimes: the children get pieces of information here and there as their parents let things slip, they check a story from an old news site, they catch details here and there from the locals. The group tries to put all the pieces together with limited snapshots and comments. There are no judgements -- it definitely leans into the mystery/story elements.

I'm sure their time in Milgram would drastically change the original prisoners, so some of their children would be shocked to find out what their parents were doing back in the day... I think a few of them would move far away, or want nothing to do with the others, so it takes their children a bit of digging to track down the other kids like them. Even if their parents are enemies, the children can all get close over their unique situation. I'm also a sucker for siblings who aren't close to find a better relationship through discovering the family secrets.

For an even darker tone, though, the original prisoners could have been wrongfully released or escaped back into the real world -- so years later, Milgram collects the children into the prison to judge them instead (sins of the father and all that). Instead of extracting mvs from them, the child and warden are forced to watch their parents’ videos and are interrogated about that. In this case, there'd be a weird dynamic in which they're learning to hate their parents (for the cruel things they did or for being the reason they're currently imprisoned) while also working really hard to defend them to the warden so that their family is forgiven. Similarly, there's an interesting relationship between them and the warden: these new prisoners criticize their decisions while also working together to solve the details of the parents' crimes.

I don't have a ton of specific headcanons on the cast, but a few roles in the group I can picture:

Kazui becomes much more honest after everything -- his children end up with leader roles because they have the most information on milgram/his crime.

Alongside them, Kotoko's kid would take after her mannerisms and become a leader as well. Out of Fuuta, Mahiru, and Mikoto's kids, half of them don't mind their parents' conflicts, while the other half act like they should carry on that legacy. I don't think Kotoko's kid themself feels the need to carry on her work, but will definitely defend her actions no matter what.

Shidou’s child would be put in a really weird spot, hearing how much he mourned those that came before. Feeling like a replacement, or not living up to the idea of his previous family, they act just as melancholy as him. Yuno's child also has a strange survivors guilt sort of thing going on.

In a normal-world setting, Fuuta's kid is the one to track the others down and get in touch with them. (But they're just as hotheaded as he was at that age, so another member has to do the actual recruiting lol)

Mahiru tries to move on from the events of Milgram, so her child is the most shocked that their mother was involved in a death and trial like this.

I think there'd be a solid mix of kids who are exactly like their parents, and the complete opposite. I like the idea of Haruka’s kid becoming the friendly, talkative one who really brings the group together <3

That Dean would return Cas’s love confession

Okay no actually you know what. I’m gonna talk about that. Maybe it’s just me being deep in Aro!Dean land, but I’m not seeing it. I’m not seeing at any point in the show where Dean loved Castiel. And I’ve been looking, I swear, but I’m. There’s no destiel on my screen. There is a lot more sastiel than I remember but there’s no destiel happening on my screen! There IS a lot of Castiel clearly having Problems and Issues and Angst about dean, and. Zero doubt here there that that angel wants to fuck him. But I honestly can’t imagine any happy ending for dean that revolves solely or even mostly around a romantic attachment. That man is hardwired for family being the most important thing to him, and I love that. Aro!Dean wins again.

Other notable things include: headcanoning Sam as not queer/trans because he’s too boring. Talked about that. Weird fucking opinion to have. That Gabriel is not exactly as fucked up as the other archangels, especially when presenting sabriel as the Good Sam Ship as opposed to samifer. My dudes, did we not watch mystery spot, do the reading. Also. Also. Not acknowledging the really clear character degradation of Lucifer in the later seasons/attributing later seasons stuff to how he acts in s5, just a personal gripe because whatever, people can read him however they want, but I really feel like on a meta level you gotta talk about how these are Two Different Characters who just happen to have been jammed into the same character. Okay. I think that’s it.

16. You can’t understand why people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc.)

I do not like coffee shops AUs. Actually, it’s more that im Extremely picky about AUs that aren’t canon divergence, and will drop them immediately the minute I feel like I’m no longer reading about the characters I like and am instead reading about Generic Guys who say funny quips and then kiss. Which is not a coffee shop au specific problem but the frequency with which that kind of au attracts that writing means I have kind of been turned off from ever reading them again.

if you are writing Sam into your coffee shop au and at some point he does not drop some insane backstory about the time he was kidnapped and forced to fight to the death with a bunch of other college kids, you have failed at writing this au and I am banishing you to the shadow realm /j

The other thing that I do not understand at all, and this extends into a problem with canon, I’m well aware, is how happily people will accept the idea that Castiel is rebellious/different from other angels because he was just Made Wrong. he’s too Broken to be like a real angel. that all the other angels are mindless drones and Castiel is the one good one who could learn about free will, usually justified with it being that “his love for dean is what makes him special”, but even outside of destiel circles, this kind of thing gets very annoying lmao.

And it’s just. That’s wrong. The show might have decided post-s8 that it believed this about Castiel but it’s False and Bad. I’m gesturing wildly at Uriel and Anna and Gabriel and Lucifer and Balthazar and Michael and shit what’s that one angel doing pinball I love them, them too, and Castiel is not special!!! He should not be special!!! All angels have the capacity for free will, they are living under a terrifying system of suppression that has stripped them of their ability to use it and has taught them that when an angel does something they disagree with, killing them is a mercy! (See: the implications of that one angel healer in s9 + Uriel and Cas being sent to kill Anna for falling in s4)

CASTIEL IS NOT SPECIAL. STOP SAYING HE IS SPECIAL. THE CRACK IN THE CHASSIS LINE IS BAD TO HOLD UP AS EVIDENCE OF HIM BEING UNIQUELY FLAWED.

ahem. sorry. i like the supernatural angels. i think making castiel into some separate special being who is the only one capable of rebelling and feeling love and etc does a massive disservice to the heaven storylines and angels as a whole. i think the show’s choice to never have another major angel character who wasn’t killed off quickly/made “too evil” to redeem was a bad decision and contributes to this view of cas as Different and The Good One.

sirius' motorbike, part 1

i started researching stuff for a timetravel au where genderswapped harry potter was gifted an enchanted motorbike like sirius', got distracted from writing because real life is so much more interesting than shitty worldbuilding by a terf, and basically just hadn't done anything.

but i have headcanons!

hagrid rides two different bikes in the movies- a bonneville in the first movie, then a royal enfield with a watsonian sidecar in DH1.

in the first movie specifically, they used a 1959 Triumph 650cc T120 Bonneville. pretty fast, pretty big, pretty classic, and an incredibly British motorbike. it would make sense for sirius, freshly disowned and getting a not-insignificant inheritance from his uncle in golden galleons, to buy the most muggle thing he could.

and what's more muggle than transportation? although public transportation, arguably, is more human than having personal equipment you can use to get around (since the wizards used brooms to that effect before specializing in portkeys and manufacturing brooms primarily for sports), you cannot tell me that posh sirius, who grew up as a sheltered magical heir in the middle of muggle London but wouldn't be in a place to socialize with them, would care for the Tube during rush hour

being born with generational magic arguably means that inhabitants of 12 Grimmauld Place would use the floo or apparate instead of using the front door, where they had the chance of running into filthy muggles. and having a front door that is nothing more than decoration is such a rich people thing to do honestly.

so sirius would probably have bought a bonneville. he probably sat around the cafe racers in london, acting cool and undercover though everybody could tell he was too shiny and weird for the place, and more or less caught the motorbike bug. like a thrillseeking college-age kid with too much money to burn, of course he'd choose to buy a liter bike for his first motorbike, possibly secondhand from one of the racers he'd befriended because he believes it's much more better broken in and all that

now, as to whether sirius actually liked being a motorbike owner...

i reckon he did. i don't think sirius played quidditch, though regulus in canon played, but he would fly around with james sometimes- i reckon he's a speed demon gryffindor like his other half. him on a bike and james on a broom in the skies would lead to soooo many great shenanigans that the world outside of 70s london would not be able to handle

and there's two pieces of extra-canon stuff that give evidence to this. the first being this photo from the props department for DH1, a motorcycle manual that can be seen in sirius' old bedroom.

the motorbikes, motorbike company, and publishing company were all fictional, but if sirius had a manual presumably before he ran away in 1976, it would mean he was really serious (lol) about owning a motorcycle, if not riding

when he bought the motorbike is answered in the other extra-canon thing i mentioned. the terf once wrote a sort of prequel story for a charity auction (which later got stolen lmao?) which detailed freshly-seventeen james potter and sirius black giving the muggle police the run around in london

the story goes that they were on a night out, going beyond the speed limit, and when cornered in an alley they used the thing to fly abovehead

i don't have a copy of the actual story though i'm sure someone somewhere has it printed out and framed in their home. however, the story does have james and sirius lift up the police car to crash into three broomriders, who were also presumably about to arrest them for using magic in front of muggles (but NOT for underage magic)

the story took place three years before harry was born, so sirius black already had a motorbike and made some memories (and perhaps, highly illegal unregulated enchantments) on it on 1977.

this bike would've improved and gotten deadlier when he lent it to hagrid that night in godric's hollow, where he said that he "won't need it anymore."

i like to think sirius did not go ghost rider on peter when he could, because you can't really ride a motorbike safely when in a vengeful all consuming rage- that leads to death, and with death comes a lack of vengeance, and damn it if he won't avenge james.

the bike hagrid was using would look the way sirius rode it last. at first glance it doesn't look like it has any mods, so if sirius enchanted it to fly amongst other things, it would probably be spelled or carved into the engine or the body. the terf didn't really make it clear how the magic system in her fuck ass fictional world works, so we're left to interpret how enchanting stuff permanently/long term would work, as in the case of quidditch brooms or the entirety of hogwarts itself.

hagrid would use sirius' motorbike once more, to rescue harry potter from privet drive permanently (and for some, seven years too late to do so)

Instead, I'm going to point you at my fics, which are a much more organized presentation of my headcanons!

The Prime Override - May seem really weird at first (and okay, it is pretty weird), but it also includes a great many of my general headcanons for clone culture, clone physiology, clone backstory on Kamino, as well as backstories of individual clones. It is told heavily from Jango's as well as other clones' POVs, with a bit of Obi-Wan, and can be considered a sort-of fix-it, but told in non-chronological order. Most of my core clone headcanons are in this one!

Take Flight, Brothers All - This is my winged!clones AU! It's a multi-media AU with mixed art, fic, and reference sheets. While all of the story in this is obviously focussed around the clones having wings, I think it still incorporates some of my headcanons for clone interactions and personalities!

A Million Bites More Till I'm Yours - My Clones x Obi-Wan Omegaverse fic. This too definitely focuses on the Omegaverse elements, but it also contains headcanons for clone interactions and personalities.

While it hasn't updated in a while, I'm also going to mention my comic Mando Back to the Clone Wars, which is a brother story to The Prime Override. It's an entirely different premise and focus, since it's a Time Travel AU and the protagonist is Boba, but it'll eventually have more clone world-building as well.

SO barty and regulus are best friends/roommates who were best friends, tried dating, didn't like it bc the romance shit was weird, stopped doing that, still besties (but if james asks they've actually gotten together and broken up like 80 times in the past 3 years, barty wants to see how much relationship drama james will accept before he calls them out on the clear bullshit). tbh probably still hooking up regularly but without any expectation of romance.

pandora's been their neighbor for years which is how she knows them. barty's basically been in love with her since she exploded a baking soda and vinegar volcano at 2am on a wednesday. they have been close friends for years and the pining is insane

and pandora knows EVAN because they met when pandora's girlfriend's sister had her 21st birthday and they went clubbing, evan was there because he was dating the sister's friend at the time and drunk!pandora bonded with tipsy!evan about how neither of them were actually all that happy in their relationships and they swapped phone numbers and became actual friends. and that was a few years ago.

(pandora's about 2 years older than reg/barty/evan. in my head this story starts when she's 27 working on her historical musicology phd, and reg/barty/evan are all around 25)

pandora has known evan and barty/regulus for similar amounts of time, they've just never met for idk reasons. maybe evan was moving around so he just wasn't Physically in the area for a while

so the reason that evan ends up in the band is because barty tells pandora that they need a new singer and pandora goes 'i know a guy'

but pandora and evan can and will flat-out lie to people and claim that they're half-siblings just for funsies

pandora calls people as her primary method of communication so sometimes barty will get phone calls from her that are just like 'hi barty! look out your window RIGHT NOW, there's a cloud shaped like a goose' (regulus, jumping on the opportunity to mock barty: she never calls ME about goose clouds. blatant favoritism)

regulus and evan don't meet until after evan has already started with the band, it's some sort of small get-together with the whole band and various plus ones (or plus threes in the case of james bc he brought all of the marauders but also sirius IS their wardrobe guy so like, it's not totally random)

evan was supposed to get to know people in general and instead spent 3 hours straight talking to regulus in the corner. he has no idea What the deal is with barty and regulus (james and marlene had conflicting info because barty likes to lie to james as i said and also marlene doesn't know what the hell is going on) so he's resigned to being confused and yearning

regulus on the other hand is NOT resigned to being confused and yearning!!! yay!!!!!!!!

and barty does a lot of instagram lives from home that always somehow turn into him and regulus a) bickering about chores, b) constructing their grocery list, or c) enthusiastically bashing tom riddle and the death eaters. the chat is flooded with comments like 'dear god how often do you have to buy coffee are you okay' and 'barty can u pls ask regulus to infodump about why [death eater song] sucks'

UM. definitely my current wip that i've been working on since like the last week of august or something. 37k and counting and it's still only about half done. like okay! literally the longest fic i've written since high school and everything of comparable length i've written is shit!

23. fics you wanted to write but didn't

uhhhhhh do the multiple planned sequels to my current wip that i cannot physically justify writing before i finish it count

otherwise there's like 4 other things, in order of likelihood that i'd actually work on them:

another pikmin fic entirely unrelated to my current wip. i actually have some of this written but i haven't touched it in like 2 months for no particular reason. basic premise started out as "Hm what if there were long-term consequences to The Events of p4" and then turned into midsommar lmao.

Manhattan, a tribute one- or two-shot to one of my favorite fic series of all time, The Station Sequence (Wells Street Station / The Ellipse / Promenade / Narodnaya) by Marquis Carabas. Fucking INCREDIBLE takes on Coraline and the kind of trauma that would naturally arise from her circumstances, but also an excellent example of She Who Fights Monsters and the impact that that has on herself and other people. I have a lot of very specific headcanons regarding parts of this series that I would have wanted to turn into a ten-year-anniversary tribute or whatever but unfortunately I didn't think of that until both the "series start" and "series end" anniversaries had long passed. But I'm absolutely going to write this anyway at some point - there are just too many specific ideas and some of them are already partially written.

the ninjago AU longfic that i've been planning... definitely since i finished crystallized, possibly since the s15 finale (but i don't think so, i remember the early concept was much more "this is an AU of crystallized" than "this is an AU of ninjago in general" so it was probably when i finished crystallized). the concept has Evolved a lot since then, but the basic premise is that sea!nya and a weird version of zane that i invented whole-cloth out of implications... they don't really "team up" as much as "orbit around each other for a billion years" in a way. julien is heavily involved, because you KNOW i can't resist that shit, and so are echo and harumi. i've already done a lot of Figuring Out with this universe or whatever but it'd take a Lot More and frankly DLD has much higher priority.

a few miscellaneous sciadv fics that i wrote a little bit of but which unfortunately did not go anywhere, and then amadeus wasn't nearly as important in A;C as i was hoping she'd be RIP. these are probably dead unfortunately the motivation is basically gone. ironically i might circle back to writing something for O;9 at some point instead - going in i thought it'd be horrible from what little i knew about it (unfinished VN/light novels and Breasting Boobily: The Anime), but actually i watched the anime back in september. aside from the pacing in the first few episodes feeling like i got infected with radical-6 and then started watching a normal show, it was LITERALLY fantastic and i am still fucking thinking about it. but! no plot bunny, fic needs a plot bunny. maybe something would come to me on a rewatch though.

Second Chance AU Shadow (Headcanons Masterlist)

I was encouraged by a certain someone to share all the Shadow headcanons I omitted from a more recent post, but it quickly got away from me and turned into a sort of masterlist with all the links being added in for context.

So in the interest of eventually having a working catalogue of "view these specifics posts for more organized information on Second Chance AU instead of sifting through various rambles", here it is!

(edit: this is definitely out of date by the time you're seeing it, see pinned for an overall tag)

He figures things out about himself/interacts with new or developing interests in phases. Which is probably pretty standard, but so far he’s gone through a particular trend of weather —> photography/scrapbooking —> food —> adventuring/getting into Situations [you are here]. No telling what’s up next, but he never really abandons discovered interests either. He still keeps up with photography/scrapbooking, still appreciates new weather patterns/cloud formations and whatnot, and is basically never not thinking about Good Food. I would love for him to some day focus on music and maybe pick up an instrument or something; he could learn piano from Metal’s caretaker, even.

Discovering preferred foods is also a slow but unique process in that he doesn’t notice, really, until someone else points out he has a clear preference for something. From his perspective, he still doesn’t really have favorites because why would he, but anyone else would be able to tell there are certain things he gravitates toward (and that applies to everything, not just food). So far, other than expensive chocolates, that’s mostly tomatoes, whether raw or roasted; cherry tomatoes especially. They’re somewhat of a comfort food at this point. A few other honorable mentions: avocado, sautéed spinach mixed in with things, and grilled veggies in general. Weird little kid who goes out of his way to ask for vegetables, really. He also especially likes the crunch of carrots, but celery and lettuce on their own practically insult him for how comparatively tasteless they are.

Don’t ask him what his favorite color is either. He has no idea. He likes the green Emerald the most, but also the light blue one (he’ll never admit it, if just because he doesn't consciously realize it, but it’s because that one specifically reminds him of Metal). From his perspective, that’s about as much as he’s able to place; wires get crossed and he answers according to his Chaos Emerald color preference, not ‘colors in general’. From my perspective, I see it as him being partial to blue and green because that’s what he’d most commonly see from the ARK, looking down at earth. Objectively, blue probably wins by sentimentality alone, given so many of the people he’s close with are/were inherently associated with blue.

He starts a lot of sentences with “I think”, as a sort of parallel to Metal regularly starting statements with “but”. Those who don’t know him might wrongly assume that this, paired with the fact he rarely speaks above something comparable to a whisper, means he’s not very assertive/sure of himself. Not the case, he’s just naturally very quiet. To hear him use his whole chest to speak is unusual, and to hear him shout is downright shocking.

He rests his hand on his forehead to self-soothe, as leaning it against Maria was something he would regularly do when cuddling with her back then. As a direct consequence of this, he does not allow people to touch his head without warning, but pushing his forehead into someone's chest/shoulder is often something he does automatically if someone hugs him, so it's an "on my terms only" kind of thing.

This is very much canon. She/her feels like he’d be stepping on toes (that’s for Maria, not him), they/them doesn’t quite feel right, and neo pronouns are not for him. So, using he/him really is just for the sake of convenience. It’s not quite right, but being referred to that way doesn’t bother him either, so there’s really nothing else for it. That’s just how it is.

The more exploring and such he does, the less sensitive his paw pads get. That eventually leads to wearing half-gloves instead.

He currently lives in a place that looks an awful lot like space. The house is shared with Metal, and has two stories. Upstairs is where his study/bedroom technically are, but he rarely goes up there to do anything but write. A majority of his time is spent downstairs, either cooking or napping. Who needs a proper bed when he has a comically oversized blanket to make a nest out of? (This blanket is eventually torn beyond reasonable repair. While it's replaced with another of similar size, the original is eventually tailored into a jacket.)

Re: this, it directly lends to what I was getting at in this post. There will come a day where he’s so much more “Maria” than himself that he practically drops everything and has to find a more earth-looking [second] home. He will keep and take care of this place even after the “Maria day” passes. I expect this location to be mostly rural—he wants to appreciate nature, its sounds, weather, and things like sunrise/sunsets unhindered, but not so much that he’s fully isolated. Maybe on the outskirts of a smaller town, but still within walking distance of it so he can check in and people-watch or window shop, things like that.

Relatedly, his relationship with his own age is complicated at best. He's neither adult nor child. (There is no argument to be made about how mentally mature he is otherwise. No matter how you spin it, he is still a minor. Arguments about that are not tolerated here.)

The rest of the points are arguably less general and more “Shadow regularly gets himself into trouble: the series” and delves into things like his regeneration ability/biology in relation to the Black Arms/etc, so I’m stuffing ‘em under the cut. Nothing particularly gory or anything like that, just a general courtesy in case people don’t want to read about that rougher/more scientific aspect of his character.

Shortly after his revival, he (safely) gave himself over to trusted scientists. For a few months, he underwent a gauntlet of tests/scans/etc in hopes they would help him find a cure for the illness Maria suffered. Some of these scans were painful despite what he thought was a high pain tolerance, which came as a surprise to him. This is relevant for most of the upcoming points.

Most controversial take: he finds guns boring. Primarily in the sense of what’s being used against him as a weapon, though. Bullets will not stop him. If you want him to stop moving, you’re going to have to lop something clean off, then flip a coin. Heads he stops, tails he’s too hyped up on adrenaline/chaos energy and will still wreck the antagonist’s shit.

Needless to say, his relationship with pain/injury is a bit weird, to the point of being distressingly casual about it. He can recover from just about any damage within reason; so far, he can and has regenerated an entire arm before (with help from an Emerald). Pain and dangerous situations that might inflict damage do not scare him.

His tolerance for pain is another matter entirely, though. In some twisted kind of way, once he realized he does in fact have a limit/pain threshold (e.g., the scans, and a particular other few events, even before the arm loss), he almost started getting more reckless to challenge and raise that threshold. His pain tolerance is already pretty high, so the fact there still exists situations in which damage exceeds that tolerance is almost like a thrill/challenge. He won’t go out of his way to or purposely hurt himself, but if the dangerous situation he’s half-intentionally placed himself in causes an accident or something, then so be it. The more experience he gains, the less likely he's going to be stunlocked by pain when stakes are high.

If he’s left to his own devices for too long, he gets restless. Being restless leads to getting himself into Situations (e.g., the above points, and also kind of like this.) Basically his impulse control just plummets. That’s where races or spars with Metal might eventually come in later. He can only stand being serene and mild-mannered for so long. There is still Black Arms blood in him; it's where he gets his otherwise well-hidden temper/competitiveness/etc. Playing rough with Metal, who has a similar “so what if I lose an arm, it can be repaired” outlook, is a good way to safely manage and expend that energy when it starts to drive him a bit stir-crazy.

Speaking of blood, his is not green. The chaos energy overrides the Black Arms’ blood color, so instead his glows bright gold in the first few seconds it’s exposed to air, and then gradually dulls down into a near-black.

In the event he’s injured, the spots being healed/regenerated come back a bit paler, not unlike a scar (the fur, too, is a bit finer). Eventually his fur evens back out to the usual black, but is a bit longer around the edges of where the injury was for a little while after/to the point he might have to manually trim it. Also tends to keep souvenirs of sorts when he gets into Situations. (General sketch page mulling over all of this. I'm still not 100% sure about the 'his fur eventually goes back to its normal color' thing; he may just Stay Like That with the paler patches/missing quills/etc like regular scars, but until I decide for sure, I'm just operating under the assumption this is not the case.)

He's essentially a highly efficient energy burner. Food/water just gets converted into pure chaos energy. Nothing is wasted; frankly his anatomy doesn't even allow for it.

In the same vein, he can go a few days without food/water, but it'll take a lot to replenish his energy stores. It's typical for him to go into an almost coma-like sleep for a few days to recover from critical injuries (not unlike in Sonic Battle). Outside of that, if he doesn't replenish his chaos energy quickly enough, he stays lethargic/fatigued for about a week.

He is biologically incapable of contracting illnesses (the Metal Virus would still, hypothetically, be an exception), and cannot be poisoned. Whether it's inhaled/ingested, he'd just cough or spit it back out without it taking effect. Similarly, he doesn't experience typical nausea outside of extreme fatigue/pain, so it's one of the few things he knows of due to his time with Maria, but can't really empathize with.

When tired, he's more Creature than not. There's a lot more little squeaks/chirps/huffs and whatnot that you'd expect from a typical hedgehog. This is especially true when he's already asleep/recovering. If he's cradled or hugged for an extended period of time, he will start to purr in a way more comparable to a bear cub than cat. It's so faint it's more felt than heard, and can otherwise only be heard by the person actively holding him.

Shantae Headcanons - The Canonical AU

So! Blog anniversary! College was kicking my ass up until about a week ago, so I haven't been done a lot with the blog (but hey that's why I built up such a massive queue LOL), but I always do something for the anniversary, and I'm not making an exception now. So, let me ask you a question: does the name Watch Quest ring a bell to any of you?

If it doesn't, I'm not surprised. Chances are, if you have heard of it, you were like me and only found out by scrolling through the Shantae wiki and happening upon the page by chance. For those of you who don't feel like pulling up the page in question, a quick lesson - Watch Quest was a small game released on Apple Watch featuring the Shantae cast, more specifically Shantae and Bolo as the main stars and some various enemies.

But! There's a key difference! By the word of Wayforward themselves, this game does not take place in the Shantae universe, making this game an AU of sorts. They even went to the trouble of differentiating the Shantae and Bolo designs a little, even if those changes are not the most...streamlined, for lack of a better word.

Now, because this was just meant to be a small game for the Apple Watch of all things, this universe was...not really fleshed out. It didn't really need to be for the things it was trying to set out to do. And, as the game itself has been taken down from the app store, it seems the most it will ever contribute to is being a weird little footnote on the Shantae wiki, and for most people, that'd be for the best.

But I am not most people, so for this year's anniversary, let me try and flesh out this universe anyway!

General -

So whereas Shantae is normally something of a smorgasboard of various mythologies and eras, what with genies, mermaids, steam tech and robots all existing in the same games, the Watch Quest universe is slightly more grounded, with a more solid (if still nebulous) foundation of "medieval europe" like so many other fantasy titles. Basically, imagine this as the D&D/RPG Game AU of Shantae

As is to be expected of such a world, there are plenty of parties of adventurers out and about doing various quests, as well as plentiful danger along the way. Generally, quests handed down by the crown take priority, but it's really up to the group which quests to tackle first

As you'd expect, Shantae, Sky Bolo, and Rottytops are one of these groups! Obviously, they tend to face off against Risky Boots, but they also help out with just some various monsters or the Watch Quest incarnations of other Shantae villains

The Heroes -

Shantae:

Design notes: I didn't do this for the Reversal AU because it'd be more fun to leave the designs up to interpretation, BUT since we actually do have canon designs and they're like. Not that great. I'd figure I'd give my thoughts on how I would make these guys look

Anyway! Shantae's cloak in her canonical Watch Quest design is cool and all, but it's also painfully obvious how it's tacked on to the original design with it, you know, being blue and all, so either her pants have to change color or her cloak does. I'm going with the former since there is precident for Shantae in blue and also when I visualize it it it just kinda works? If you're wondering "wait what about the top," the official art has her wearing a black top instead of her more usual red one. That is not reflected in the sprites at all but I like that design choice so I'm sticking with it. Also, to make the black a bit more prominent, I'd switch out her golden arm cuffs for black gloves, as well as switching out her shoes for black boots. Take out the bits of gold on her pants in exchange for a black belt and hip holster for her scimitar and you're done!

Compared to her canon self, WQ!Shantae has had a...rougher upbringing. Unlike in Shantae, there are no genies - instead, Shantae is the child of a human knight and a fae, woodland spirits known for being benevolent guardians, cruel and petty tricksters, and everything inbetween. Most people consider fae to be unreliable and untrustworthy simply by nature, so to be the child of one and a human? Needless to say, people got up in arms about her.

Her Uncle Mimic tried to raise her, townspeople be damned, but as Shantae grew older Mimic's neighbors grew more and more adamant about getting her out, to the point of nearly running him out of town. Not wanting that fate for Mimic, Shantae ended up running away when she was a kid to spare him the town's ire, and thus began a life on the lam.

Lacking any other ways to support herself as she was growing up, Shantae ended up becoming a talented small-time thief, knowing how to pick pockets and quietly take from the market without anyone noticing. She only ever took what she needed to survive, of course - just because she used rougher means to get herself food and keep a roof over her head didn't mean she lost her morals.

This lifestyle was what led her to meet Bolo - during one of his first missions, escorting a noble to his manor, she'd pocketed some of the noble's money when they bumped into each other on the road and Bolo noticed. A chase ensued, and as it went on, Bolo was quick to realize her obvious skill. When he finally managed to corner Shantae, instead of arresting her, Bolo instead offered to give Shantae a legitimate way of working as an adventurer. She accepted without hesitation.

She was accepted on Bolo's recommendation as well as a couple of tests, and soon after, the two of them formed what would be the start of their party. And so began Shantae's life as an adventurer!

Shantae's adventurer class is Rogue, a class known for its speed and stealth. Her job tends to be to either scout ahead or to act as a distraction so the heavy hitters can get into position, though she's no stranger to taking down opponents herself.

Bolo:

Design Notes: Honestly, out of the two canon designs we got for this, Bolo's is worse. And Watch Quest was supposed to give him more focus. My man really gets done dirty no matter which universe, huh? In any case...the cape is fine, but like with Shantae's cloak, either it needs to change color or something else - in this case Bolo's headband - needs to match. Going with the headband in this case, as a red headband works both for the eyes as well as for what will be a bit of a bolder characterization for Bolo here. Also, swapping out his jacket and leather protective equipment (i.e. his boots and gloves) for actual armor, because as nice as his normal look is, that cape has to attach somewhere, and it also fits nicely with his greatsword.

Moving on to the actual lore - Bolo here is the son of a blacksmith in a small village close to the kingdom's capital, meaning that as a kid Bolo grew up surrounded by tales of knights and adventurers riding out to glory. And ever since, he knew - he wanted to be like that. He wanted to be a champion of what was right, to inspire others, to be someone's hero.

And so, he got to training. Whether it be with his mom as a kid, swinging at her with nothing but a stick and pure childish stubborness, or with the actual royal guard as he got older, signing in to join and get some proper swordsmanship under his belt. And then, when the time came, he went to his mother's forge, made a new set of armor for himself, and went out to become an adventurer.

Which...did not initially go as well as he expected, admittedly; turns out "ex-royal guard" is not as great a thing to have on your resume as he thought it would be. He didn't get that many job requests, but when he actually formed a party with Shantae and it grew in members, gradually they got more and more quests to handle. The fact that they had several adventures against major threats also helped.

Compared to his canon self, WQ!Bolo is more confident, knowing full well how capable he is in a fight and actually being able to inspire and lead the others fairly well! He does still have some insecurities about his intelligence, though - because despite it all, Bolo can still be as dense as a rock sometimes.

Bolo's adventurer class is Knight, a class known for good power and defense but low speed. His job is to take hits that the others can't and dish that hurt back out to their opponents in turn. Or, in other words, Bolo is the tank.

Sky:

Design notes: I don't HAVE to cover the others since they don't have Watch Quest designs, but I'll do some quick notes for my mental images of them anyway because it's fun. In Sky's case, I imagine instead of her hooded cape she just has some pink and blue head wrappings to secure her hair, as well as some slightly more formal dress and a wooden staff topped with a bird.

Sky...did not grow up with the best images of adventurers in her life. Both her parents were adventurers, and their constant quests meant they were rarely ever home. Then, one day, while they were out on a seemingly typical quest, Sky got a knock on her door, and she was promptly informed that they weren't ever coming home again. Both of those combined experiences growing up led to her believing adventurers were good-for-nothing morons with a death wish, and rather than risk being taken in by one, she ran into the woods and began to live with the birds she'd befriended when her parents weren't home.

The only reason her and Bolo's party ever interacted at all was because there was a big game hunter in her woods looking for trophies, and as it so happened, all of Sky's bird friends were fairly rare...realizing she couldn't defeat the hunter alone, she reluctantly went out to the nearest guild and put out a request. And after some initial rejections from other adventuring parties, Bolo and Shantae were the ones to pick it up.

Sky went with them because she didn't trust either of them an inch, but as the days passed and she talked with them more and more, she started to realize...they weren't that bad? Talking with Shantae felt as natural as talking with her birds did, and Bolo...Bolo was something else. At the end of the quest, after the hunter was defeated and the topic of payment was being discussed, rather than try and scam them like she'd initially planned, Sky ended up offering her services as payment instead, saying it was the least she could do after they helped save the birds that were as close to her as family.

Being more isolated from society growing up, Sky's rather mistrusting of...everyone, really, but she is working on it. That being said, she trusts Bolo's party with her life, especially Bolo and Shantae, and will defend them all fiercely as well as provide some comfort if they need it. She can't say she trusts them with their own lives, though; as the resident healer of the party, she's the one in charge of keeping them all alive, and, well...let's just say that complete lack of any kind of self-preservation drives her up the wall. And her blood pressure. Her poor, poor blood pressure.

Speaking of! Sky's adventurer class is, as you might expect, Druid, a mystic class with connections to nature. She prefers to talk to and work with birds most of the time, like the one she has as her companion, Wrench, but Sky can talk to other animals and control plants as well. As mentioned before, she also knows a lot of healing spells, and is the designated healer here.

Rottytops:

Design notes: For Rottytops' design...I'm imagining something like Armor Baron's cursed armor set mixed with some furry pelts, with her weapon being a gigantic hammer and her hair being done up in a small ponytail like it is in her Fillin disguise.

Rottytops had perhaps the most antagonistic introduction to Bolo's party, being raised up as part of a certain Hypno Baron's undead army and serving as its general, fighting alongside him when Bolo, Shantae, and Sky showed up to stop him. But then something strange happened - when Bolo and Shantae landed a combination attack on Hypno, something snapped whatever control he had over her, and Rottytops promptly decided that working for Hypno Baron sucked, actually, so she swung around and started helping take him down.

Eventually, he fell, and Rottytops tensed, waiting for the magic animating her to fade and dissipate...but nothing happened. She got weaker, sure, but compared to crumbling apart she'll take not being boss-level powerful anymore. With nothing better to do, Rottytops elected to join Bolo's party! Without asking. Or informing anyone about this, really. Rottytops' communication skills leave something to be desired. Thankfully, despite that little issue, she did manage to get officially accepted into the party.

WQ!Rottytops is a lot more straightforward compared to her canonical counterpart. She has the capacity for clever and zany schemes, sure - she was a general, after all - it's just that she doesn't see the need to scheme most of the time when 95% of the time the solution can just be her hammer. Besides that, Rottytops is still very much a gremlin here.

Rottytops' adventurer role is Barbarian - a glass cannon of sorts, with big emphasis on the cannon part of that. That hammer isn't for show, after all! Rottytops can enter a berserker rage, but generally doesn't, because she doesn't like losing control of herself like that.

Villains -

Risky Boots:

I do have thoughts on how the other villains would work, but I'm sticking with just Risky for now since I'm kinda pushing how close this is to the anniversary. Also not including design notes for this reason

Anyway! Risky Boots is the first major threat Bolo's party faces after they've all been gathered together, and she's incredibly feared in the Watch Quest-verse...for good reason.

Risky is technically a warlock, that being a mystic class that draws power from a deal with a devil rather than something innate to them, but the key word here is very much technically. What actually happened was Risky summoned the demon, kicked his ass, and took his powers for herself, even wearing his skull like some kind of macabre trophy. People don't know what the hell to qualify Risky as at this point other than dangerous.

The first scheme Bolo's party put a stop to was to piece together a magic artifact that could have allowed her to take over the kingdom with ease, but while they ended up beating her, she managed to escape before she could be imprisoned. So, ever since, she's been a consistent threat for Bolo's party.

Not much to say about Risky's personality in Watch Quest, since it's about the same as in canon, with the main difference being that WQ!Risky, without years of being under the Pirate Master's heel, is a bit more willing to let herself be emotionally vulnerable. Only a bit, though; she still has a reputation to maintain, after all.

Alright I'm just gonna dump a bunch of my Marlie headcanons in one big blotch of dumbassery. Just a warning, aside from various second hand accounts and a comic dub of The Silver Eyes, I know nothing about the books 

Anyways, let's-a go

Charlie is older than Michael by only a few months and constantly holds that fact over him (especially during their younger years where Mike's still a chaotic gremlin child)

They were both around twelve years old when the bite of 83 happened

After the bite of 83, Michael just shuts down. He stays home most of the time, he doesn't talk to any of friends, and he starts thinking some pretty bad thoughts about himself. Charlie is initially appalled, but after seeing that state that Mike's in, she tries to help him, and their relationship starts to change (until she gets murdered in the "Canon" timeline, but that's besides the point)

Also in the "canon" timeline, Michael and Charlie both act as guardians to the MCI victims

Michael has some bad dysmorphia when it comes to his face, which is part of why he wore his Foxy mask all the time. Charlie was one of the few people to see Mike without his mask on during their childhood

Charlie's the only person who can call Michael "Mikey"

I have a weird habit of imagining Charlie with a British accent whenever I read fanfics, so let's say that she got it from being babysat by William/hanging around Michael 

I just now realized that my take on Michael and Charlie's dynamic when they were kids weirdly parallels William and Henry. The Emily is the calm voice of reason while the Afton is the off the walls visionary who ends up killing someone oops

When drawing, Michael has a habit of doodling cartoon-ish caricatures of him and Charlie (who are a fox and black bear respectively) doing stereotypical romantic stuff

Growing up Charlie always got on Michael's case about him bullying Evan, always saying that one day, he'd go too far. Guess she was right

Charlie likes to doodle even though she's not that great of an artist

Charlie is definitely the type to listen to lo-fi beats with noise canceling headphones when doing chores/stuff in general

Michael used to love screamo stuff, but now he's more of a general rock and roll kinda guy

Michael discovered a pack of his dad's cigarettes when he was ten and started smoking in secret. Charlie eventually found out and scolded him, suggesting that he chew gum instead

This isn't really a headcanon, but I've been playing with the idea of Charlie being the Bonnie-mask bully, making her partially responsible for Evan's death and giving William more of a reason to kill her specifically. Also her and Michael being rebellious little snot faces while she's still the voice of reason is a mental image that I personally love. (Also in this headcanon Au thingy, the Chica and Freddy-mask bullies would be Jessica and Carlton respectively)

Finally, Charlie could absolutely whoop Michael in a fight, she just chooses not to

Ohh okay so let me get the first thing out of the way that I don’t like. I really don’t like the idea of Charlie being the Bonnie mask bully. Simply due to the fact that it does go against her character completely and it’s just not her if that makes sense. That being said that’s the only thing I don’t like.

Some of these I agree with myself like Charlie being older than Michael by a few months and Charlie drawing a lot (my personal headcanon is that she designed the mediocre melodies before she died and that’s why Henry used them in fnaf 6).
