i moved back to the netherlands last friday and i still really feel like someone is holding my throat closed and something heavy is sitting on my chest & i keep tearing up at the smallest things. it is only a temporary state as i am planning to permanently move to denmark in 2024 but holy shit the way my body is responding to being outside of it is shocking to me

#it feels like the covid period when denmark locked its borders and i felt the same feeling (but less) because i was unable to come in #i hate to be so in love with a country #especially one that is used by right wingers in NL as an example of how to deal with the migration issue #but there is something that just. makes me so Happy #but it scares me #because i put all my hope for my future in the hands of a country who is dedicated to making it More Difficult for me to even come in #and there are some things coming up on my path that are going to determine how easy my path will be #like the C1 level language test and getting accepted for a masters degree #But yeah anyway the thought of having to spend more than a year in the netherlands is absolutely crushing me #i wish i could be excited for the sake of my friends #but when one of my friends who i had not seen this year hugged me #i just felt.... deflated and empty #and i still do #although i am now on the flixbus to copenhagen and about 30km away<3 #but eh i might be a bit emotionally unstable the next period #because you can add on top of that that i have also been unable to Relax on my own for almost two months #so i am highly strung and emotionally just a sad wet rat thrown back into the sewers #text #sorry this is incoherent #and there are worse things in the world

dear ea stop making all ur worlds so american like even the ones that are meant to be inspired by other parts of the world are so so american. bring us attached houses. cramped neighbourhoods. or just houses that dont have an entire football fields worth of space around it. awkward flats above shops and houses that are seperated by alleyways. no matter what my sims feel so fortunate to have such a huge plot of land even if their house is small like its so isolating

#here in england at least having a house thats seperated /detached is SUPER rare like ur either very fortunate or u live in the country #like a cute scottish cottage ugh i love those #but aside from those old buildings u will not find detached housing and thats what i hate abt the sims 4 worlds so much.i miss ts2 apartment

I love Catwin because you know that once Edwin gets acclimated to his antics, he most likely won't react as much, if at all, to the more revealing outfits the Cat King wears. #I also think american exceptionalism and their bizarre cultural one-way street isolation plays a role #i think it's different if you actually see other countries as equals and see that they have female leaders and realise that it's #not going downhill it's not solving everything it's business as usual and it's just another boring fucking politician #and this makes the gender of the candidate LESS (not saying no) issue people obsess about or feel a need to discuss #(e.g. people laying into the appearance of female politicians? certainly misogyny. making jokes about cooking and shoes? definitely too #but I feel like that was more a 'gotta insult these fucking politicians' and gender being one of the targets when people want to do that)#but if you're the US and giant parts of the populace think they're the specialmost extra complicatedest country in this our planetworld #the fact that it works for so many other countries takes a much lower priority #because 'yeah sure a woman can govern a....'checks notes' Fineland and United Kingdom of England or Germanland'#but the US of freedom? we got a red button and what if she's on her period!!?! now im just manifesting that the $350m increase to law enforcement spending doesn't pass. it's pulling ahead right now but theres still plenty of votes left to go.

arguments for: ummmm.... we have a social obligation.... to honor the sacrifices our brave officers make

argument against: there is literally nothing to suggest this will work

other than that there's not really any ballot initiatives that were of super critical importance to me especially because i dont live in CO anymore. will need to register in oregon going forward. but it's nice to see the big constitutional amendments get passed
