Hellooooo I just saw that you’re taking HH requestsssss!!! Also I hope you’re having an amazing dayyyy!! (Also take your time, no rush here hun)
Ok so a Lucifer x (f) reader where she and a few of her performance group get invited to do a dance for the king of hell himself and many others at a party with some of the most important figures of hell. The reader, while performing, catches Lucifer’s eye and so after the group performs Lucifer FINALLYY gains the courage to speak with her and appreciate her talent.
If you can do this that would be greatttt!!! ♡♡
Ahahaha! I did it! I had a lot of fun writing this and I hope you'll enjoy reading it 💖
LUCIFER X PERFORMER READER
Your nerves were singing, this might be the biggest performance of your whole career here in Hell. The Lucifer, King of Hell, big boss on campus, asked for your group to dance at his gala personally. This could be everything, the thing to bring your group to the next level.
You looked at yourself in the mirror, you needed to make sure everything was perfect. You were fidgeting with your bottles, and palettes, making sure your makeup was perfect. Adding extra glitter to make sure you stood out and sparkled on stage.
"Alright ladies, it's time to go, break a leg everyone!" Your manager announced to the group of you. Taking a slow steadying breath you stood up. Time to go.
Lucifer sat on his throne at the far back of the ballroom, Asmodeus and him deep in conversation, just trying to catch up since he's been away for so long. It was nice seeing Ozzie again, he was always one of Lucifer's favorites and they fell right back into the rhythm of things.
"So have you been looking for any fresh meat since Lil's been gone?" Ozzie said, wiggling his brows, Lucifer blushed.
"Wha… I, no-" Lucifer stammered, he really hadn't thought about anyone like that in a long time.
"Oh come on your highness," Ozzie said with a grin, "you have to get your tail wet at some point, it's not good to be hung up over the same woman for the rest of your life."
He sighed, "yeah I know, it's just-"
Your performance had begun.
You had stepped out center stage to a single spotlight and begun to move your body to the rhythm. Lucifer was starstruck, he had frozen mid sentence, enraptured by your beauty and grace. Ozzie noticed too, he raised an eyebrow at his demon lord, grin growing ever wider.
The rest of your group had joined you on stage as the music came to a crescendo. All of you moving in time, bodies sweaty adding extra shine to the already copious amounts of glitter.
Lucifer still hadn't moved, Ozzie wasn't even sure he'd blinked, growing a little concerned he waved a hand in front of his face. Lucifer reached out and held his wrist tight to stop it from moving, it was an automatic reaction, like a robot. Lucifer held Ozzie's wrist for the whole rest of the performance.
Once your group had finished, taking a bow as everyone clapped, Ozzie leaned over and whispered, "you know I can get you her number if you want?"
"I, what?" Lucifer had snapped back to reality all at once, dropping Ozzie's wrist instantly. He was so stoopified by your dance that he hadn't even realized what he'd done.
"Yeah, they perform for me in the Lust Ring all the time," Ozzie leaned even closer, brow cocked, "who do you think suggested they perform tonight?" He grinned at his easily flustered boss, noticing the pink dusting his cheeks. The King of Hell was such a baby sometimes. "Or… I could introduce you?"
"I think I… have to go." Lucifer rose from his throne and dashed away in a panic hearing Asmodeus' laughter the whole way.
He was in a quiet hallway far from the rest of the crowd, his heart was hammering in his chest, his blood felt thick. He hasn't had that sort of immediate reaction to anyone since he saw Lillith in the garden. He placed a hand to the wall to steady himself, his knees wobbled a little.
"Are you ok?" Lucifer whipped around, and just his luck, there you were. You had changed out of your dance outfit and were wearing something more casual. Glitter still stuck to your face and hair though. He wanted to reach out and brush it away.
Instead he rubbed his hands together and noticed how sweaty they had gotten.
"Y-yeah, I'm… I'm ok." He chuckled weakly. God he was making such an ass of himself.
"Oh my god, you're Lucifer." You had looked starstruck. "Thank you so much for letting us perform here for you, it was such an honor." You bowed before him a shy smile gracing your features.
"No no, don't… don't do that." He said taking your shoulders and correcting your posture. "You were truly an experience, I'm the one who should be honored."
His charming smile lit your cheeks on fire, not to mention his hands still lingering on your shoulders. You couldn't believe how kind Lucifer was being, you could feel the butterflies in your chest.
"Th- thank you so much, that truly means a lot." You smiled gently his way.
It was his turn to blush, quickly taking his hands back and rubbing them together anxiously, when had they become so sweaty?
"Would… would you like to go to dinner sometime?"
What.
You stared, wide eyed, mouth open. He looked so shy, his eyes were avoiding yours at all costs. You giggled causing him to perk up.
"Of course, I would love to." You smiled.
"So, tomorrow at 8?" He was so suddenly very excited, he did it, asked you out and better yet, you said yes!
"Perfect!" You were grinning ear to ear matching his enthusiasm.
"I'll see you then!" He gave your shoulder a warm squeeze and promptly exited the gala.
Lucifer was standing on the sidewalk outside of the building when he realized that in all his excitement he didn't ask you for your number, he had no way of contacting you.
"Shit." He mumbled as he made his way back inside.

This is baisically me giggling and kicking my feet at Gaz for... some amount of words. Y'all better give this one just as many notes as the other ones, otherwise I straight up won't post the Ghost one, which is by far the most fun I made imo. Because fuck this fandom's constant disregard for my boy Gaz. Anyways, have fun!

As always, mild spice under the cut (this ones really wholesome tbh)
Tumblr media
Immaculate taste in partners (VERY bisexual. at least)
Also great taste in kink
would try most things once, more of an Experimentalist than super focused on one thing
Tumblr media
If his partner wasn't so happy with an idea he had/something he wanted to try/didn't like something they did try together, he'd be SO chill about it
like beyond only respecting their needs over his wants, he wouldn't even have a hint of second thought about it
"do we both like it? no? out the window with it"
this would abseloutly go for ALL sexual acts i think he'd be incredibly chill if he had a s/o who was ace
or uncomfortable with certain 'vanilla' acts such as penetration/oral.
Or simply had a lower libido, anything like that
Tumblr media
OH YES. HE'S PEAK SWITCH (everyone is unless proven otherwise)
As i said, he has good taste.
So femdom is on the list (/j ahahaha unless...)
I feel like he'd enjoy that, espechially like 'basic' kink stuff like rope or impact play where he doesn't have to think for a little while
Open to everything as I mentioned but more of a masochist than sadistic
Generally as i said anything goes as long as its safe sane consensual
Tumblr media
As a dom he'd be very responsible (not that i think the others wouldn't, i just feel he's the most emotionally intelligent)
generally just very healing to be with if you've had bad experiences. Not because he actively does anything, but because he's one of those people who prove things can be better
Tumblr media
Aftercare:
Aftercare is total (non gendered) princess treatment for him. If you try to do ANYTHING, he'll actually vibrate out of his skin, especially if he was domming during a scene
You'd probably have to fight to get to take care of him at all
All the standard stuff, cleanup, cuddling etc. PlusI feel like he'd be big on hand-feeding and bathing/showering together as aftercare activities, that kinda stuff
Tumblr media
Bye bye:

An Introduction to Ivilia NPCs
(aka this is the master post for my silly little ocs)
I'm going to put most of this under a read more just because there will be pictures and I wouldn't wanna clog up y'all's feeds with the sheer amount of stuff.
I'll make a small list of characters I really want to get into, at least so that I can remember to talk more about them myself aha.
In this post you'll find information about:
-Magnus and Magan Deyvet
-Lockeland, Kitril, and Cedith Puckett
-Lucien Ancrum and Milo Ancrum-Buckley
-Helios the Bard
-Christopher and Loulouche Sunsinger
-Raiden the Wanderer
-Ghost
-Knox Odikonn the Mad Wizard
-The Glazastov Family
Continue reading at your own risk I suppose?
Okay so. Starting off strong with the twins.
Magnus Deyvet
Pronouns: he/him
An asshole to put it plainly. This little rat bastard will ruin your day he's such a a little shit oh my god. He used to be worse but I can apparently Not Make Sympathetic Villains so I'm just sitting here with a kind mean little bastard boy who's also immortal and can't stay dead so yeah that's fun! He's old and tired and wants to be left alone kinda sorta but he also wants to be in everyone's business. How dare you NOT let him be in your business you MUST tell him all the things. An aggressively gay little man. Absolutely can and will bite. Also he's a changeling so he can shapeshift too and that's cool I guess. Did I say who awful he is
Magan Deyvet
Pronouns: he/she/they
My silly little BLORBO. He is my little bean my precious dogboy the BEST EVER. NOTHING like their brother nope not at ALL. In reality she's actually probably just as bad, but his moral code is far more defined than Maggie's is I suppose. He's a fairly friendly person, she spends a lot of her time working on their prosthetics and stuff like that. Big robot nerd basically aha
Lockeland Puckett
Pronouns: they/them
Scribgly scrimblo!!!! My screembl. My little BASTARD!! I love them y'all I can't understated how much they rotate around in my brain with their funny little accent! Just a silly guy they're so traumatized it's so much fun dude. They're missing an eye btw!! And an ear and half their tongue ahahaha. But they have a cat and three dogs and a silly accent so it's okay :)
Kitril and Cedith Puckett
Pronouns: he/him and they/them respectively
Locke’s father and auncle respectively, they hate each other for some reason I haven't quite determined why lol. But they're both silly old fey and I like them a lot. If I had to describe each in short terms I'd say Kit is a crazy cat man and Cedith is a bog witch. Great little guys. You should definitely trust them with your name
Lucien Ancrum
Pronouns: he/they
The guy ever!! He's so soft and big and sweet and will give everyone hugs. This man loves everyone he's literally just here for the hugs. He will become ur dad he will let you lay on a fluffy highland cow. He is just the best, I have no complaints he is so pure and good. What a man
Milo Ancrum-Buckley
Pronouns: she/her
Lucien's sister! She got the "short" end of the straw in genetics because she looks way more human than her brother but that's ok. She's strong and also big and will beat up anyone that misgenders u. She also owns and runs a tavern!!! Pretty sure she's a lesbian too but I haven't given her a proper love interest so if you have suggestions please tell them at me
Helios the Bard
Pronouns: he/him
Clown ahh MF. This man is goofy as hell but he's also the organizer behind 99% of the riots and strikes in one of the primary cities so there's that I guess. He has a wife he loves VERY much dude he's so so SO dedicated to her. Literally just hanging off her every word. But he's a lot smarter than he presents, he's just gotta keep it silly or he'll be consumed by the narrative
Christopher Sunsinger
Pronouns: he/him
Literally gay as hell. Gayest man I know. He's short and gay and gay. He's also strong as hell and could throw a person. He's completely blind but he keeps making sight-based jokes and thinks he's funny for it. Also a good therapist! Probably.
Loulouche Sunsinger
Pronouns: he/him
Angry and small. Christopher's little brother. Asshole. Highly traumatized and very very temperamental he may as well be your mortal enemy if you so much as look at him the wrong way. Kinda a space cowboy tho so that's cool! He likes to fight god
Raiden the Wanderer
Pronouns: he/him
Silly bird man who makes soup and studies ancient ruins of long lost civilisations in the desert! He doesn't have a quarrel with anyone and nobody has a quarrel with him. He knows the tunnels under the desert well and knows how to avoid sandworms. He's also a guide for lost travelers trying to make their way through a hopelessly large desert.
Ghost
Pronouns: they/them
Silly Creecher, Ghost is my little blorbo bingus. They are a cryptid and a spooky little guy and they will look at som1 and think "that is friend". Just my tall Eldritch beastie that likes to hang out with people and sit in their forest
Knox Odikonn the Mad Wizard
Pronouns: it/they/he
Really fucked up little guy. Kinda more fucked up than Maggie if I'm being honest. A real piece of work, it created a nightmarish hell-dimension called Wiz-Mart for fun and watched people actually try to utilize it as a proper grocery store. They find it HIGHLY entertaining to watch
The Glazastov Family
Pronouns: see below
I'd make individual blurbs for this family but none of them are that important aside from Vitaly, but he's also a very minor character in this (I still love him a lot though). The Glazastov Family is a (you guessed it) family of morticians and funeral directors. They are a family of five, consisting of the parents (Konstantin and Olga) and their three children (Vitaly, Sasha, and Polina). Konstantin (he/him) and Olga (she/her) are happily married and getting up there in years, but they tend not to go out much. Not very social at all. Vitaly (he/him) is the most social out of all of them and that's saying a lot. He's not very keen on speaking to others outside of work, but he has a soft spot for kids and does a lot of the talking for his family. Sasha (he/him) is an asshole. He was quickly driven out of the family home for trying to kill his brother. Polina (she/her), or Polly for short, is the youngest and very very sweet. She often plays with the children outside the morgue, and her responsibilities in the family have yet to be passed down, since she's quite young still.
___
Okay- I did it, I wrote the things down. I'm sure there will be plenty more characters and NPCs to come, I definitely haven't covered all of them, but this is the basic stuff for the moment. God it's exhausting making this long of a post how do y'all do it this took me like three days
Anyways enjoy, if you have questions my asks are open or you can just. Rb or comment or whatever idm either way. I hope you all derive much joy from my little blorbos

In the interest of wanting to love life again: what was your favourite moment of the Penguins season this year? Any happy memories?
I had a really great season, man.
I saw games with seven different fandom friends and got to introduce three of them to the city for the first time. I got to see so many wins alongside them, including several friends' first pens wins. I got to watch the Pens win a Pride game, which was amazing and so fun.
I got to see Geno's 1000th game in Chicago (with my family, who'd never been to a hockey game before), and then flew back to Pittsburgh to see them celebrate it on home ice—with Geno winning it in a shootout that was probably the coolest experience I've ever had in a hockey arena.
I got to see Tanger's 1000th game and share that with a friend. Seeing the funky fun little warmups (which I missed for Geno's in Chicago because the arena workers were mean 😂) was super special and cool.
I got to go to the night of assists, which was a lifetime experience, special and made all the better by getting to share it with a fandom friend.
I got to go to a Geno fan signing with another friend, and say hi to him as he signed my jersey and thank him for signing with the pens. he said he was glad to sign, too:)
I got to live through contractgate, which was horrible-at-the-time but also a really unifying experience.
I felt a thousand, no, a million times worse when Geno pulled that dumbass "I'm gonna test free agency 💅" move this summer that made me just SOB in the arrivals lane at an airport on the very first business trip I've ever made in my career ahahaha.
and it's weird and silly, because I'm a person who really needs to reframe those upsetting moments into something good. it's how I live with them. I remember how hopeless I felt—my plane had been turned around, I was late to my first business trip ever, I was about to meet my high-powered boss in person for the first time, I was standing in the Detroit heat waiting for 45 minutes for a shuttle to take me to the grimiest hotel I've laid eyes on because my connecting flight had been delayed until the next day... and I was just crying into my mask as I tried to console my fandom friends and keep my wits about me because it kind of felt like the world was ending.
and it wasn't... about... the team. in a way it wasn't even fully down to being about geno. do not get me wrong: I was personally devastated by the idea of him not coming back. he's one of My Guys. I was in denial about what I would do if he didn't sign with the Pens. I was so torn up about it that I stayed up for hours even though I was exhausted.
but the fear that kept me up in that really weird, shitty hotel room was the thought that my fandom was going to circle the drain because of it. we saw what a ship split did to tk/np, didn't we? their situation was different from sidgeno's... they lacked the amount of history, the sheer years... but nonetheless, I'm really, really aware of how small and tight-knit our corner of hockey fandom is. I was terrified of the possibility of geno leaving and that fracturing this really beautiful chunk of the internet that I've called home for the majority of my adult life, at this point.
that didn't happen. not only did it not happen, but I was in a vacation dreamland, barely needing to work on a business trip in the most gorgeous fantasyland location I've ever seen, having impressed my boss and nailed my part of the trip. all my anxiety—over the trip, over my job, over my fandom, over geno, over sid, over my friends dealing with this—was real, but it didn't win. instead I practically experienced euphoria on the shoreline.
I remember getting the text from a friend at close to midnight or whenever it was. geno had signed. things were going to be okay. things were going to be great.
and they were. I had so much fun this season, man. I really did. I wrote 14ish new fics this season. I participated in three (four? maybe more?) fic fests. I went to so many games that I felt gluttonous about it. I talked to tons of people all over this fandom. my friendships grew stronger. I traveled to two different states to visit fandom friends. I'm flying across the ocean to see more in the coming months.
and like... that's what matters. that ACTUALLY impacts my life, more than a man leaving a team, more than a team losing games. as important as certain players or records are to me, that's all stuff I can come to accept (well... some things I can accept. I don't think I'd ever have gotten over geno had he left. I get nauseous thinking about it. let's not muse on it. it didn't happen and that's what matters).
what I wouldn't have been able to accept was this space—this fandom, this lovely little corner where we talk about and joke about and blog about and meme about and write about the pens—unraveling. I'm not naive enough to expect this place to be around forever, and it already looks radically different from what it was when I joined it, but I'm determined to help preserve it for as long as I can. I want this to be a fun space. A creative one. Someplace where we're having a good time but also talking about things that matter to us and learning about the sport.
I told you all in a post a long while ago after I went to seattle that I want to be more assertive and honest about how much online friendships mean to me. the fact that there's this online community is sick. we're all in this cool little boat together and that is impressive and interesting and unique and I love it. I love fandom, and I love THIS fandom, and I love Sid and Geno and what we do in the name of their friendship. this place has enriched my life in ways I can't even tell you about. it's so cool. it is SO cool.
so.... I don't know what else to leave you with but this picture of the coastline I sat at on a cool July night, with my career changing in amazing ways and my anxieties quelled and my body flooded with adrenaline over the news that Geno Was Back and my mind BURSTING with creativity over a new story idea that was billowing out of me like smoke.
Tumblr media
I sat there, headphones in, a song by one of my favorite bands playing on repeat as the sun set and the world turned the most intense shade of blue I'd seen in my life. I kept mouthing along to the words—Die if I must, let my bones turn to dust, I'm the lord of the lake and I don't want to leave it.
I just couldn't get over how lucky I felt. what a life I had. what fortune had come into my life. how crazy it was that things, like they seemingly so often do, worked out.
if I REALLY wanted to be trite, I could say something right now like "well, it was about time my luck ran out." but I don't feel like it has. tonight wasn't fun, but this season isn't about tonight for me.
this season is about:
the look on my friend's face as we caught sight of Sid at the night of assists and had that christ-he's-real moment
starting a podcast with my friends and getting to create silly goofy stuff in fun new ways
my dad being kind of alarmed at me screaming down at the ice and getting to explain to my sister what a power play was
getting to boo and cheer with the fans (and my friends). during overtime and the shootout for Geno's 1001th game, and the ecstasy of him winning it all.
having players walk past me and my friends at our dinner tables randomly in the city and getting to laugh about how cool/funny an experience that is 😂
having geno help me win a game of blackjack, which will forever be one of the coolest things I've been able to experience
organizing trips for people who've never seen the city before and having them tell me how fun experiencing pgh is, which is so meaningful as someone who's done a lot of growing up here
meeting new friends, both online and in person, and getting to learn about them and write with them and create with them
writing. writing. writing. the thing I've loved to do since I was a child. the thing I want to dedicate myself even more fully to.
reading the works people in our fandom write and share, which is such an overwhelming act of community and passion that I need to remind myself of how extraordinary it is
sitting out on the edge of the water and marveling at what a life I had, literally none of it possible without fandom. nothing in my life has shaped my literal life path as much as this fandom and S+G.
this is overly sentimental and perhaps cloying, but god, do I mean it. I mean it so earnestly I can't even be embarrassed about it.
life is good. tonight was hard, and I saw things that are going to stick with me and probably upset me, but the positives outweigh the negatives as a rule in my life. I can't live otherwise. I won't tell anyone else how to deal with stress or fear, and I'm trying to get better at that, but in the meantime I'll leave you with that image of the big blue world all laid out in front of me and me feeling every feeling in the world there was to feel, because I was so overwhelmed with the previous 24 hours that it was all I could do to sit there and let it run its course.
I'm an optimist, for better or worse, because it's the way I make life bearable. and, because I'm also kind of corny, I'm going to go back to that blue dusk eating up the whole sky and melting into the water and remember how I felt.
that's why I'm here. I hope there are moments from this season that made you feel like that, too. I hope you, like me, feel that those moments greatly and meaningfully outweigh bad ones.
it was a good year. I can't wait for whatever comes next.

TickleTober Day 14 : Roleplay
Tumblr media
Characters: Minori, Airi, Haruka & Shizuku
Warnings: Nah
Pairing key: & = platonic, x = romantic!
I am a big MMJ fan and the idea of Minori being in a dumb costume was just too amusing hehe~
"Alright, the camera is ready..."
The girls gathered around Airi's phone, ready for their introductions for today's stream.
They planned to do some impromptu roleplay in various costumes, a suggestion by one of their fans. Everyone had gone out and prepared their outfits without telling each other what they purchased.
After introductions, they all went and changed to show off their costumes. Of course, each girl's uniqueness shone through with their choices.
Shizuku was a witch. Haruka went for an undead pirate. Airi donned her devil costume. And Minori...
"I'm sorry!! I couldn't decide and then I panicked and I saw this and it was so cute!"
Minori blushed as she emerged dressed as... a horse?
"Ahahaha! What is that!?" Airi laughed along with the others as well as the viewers, but it was all in good fun.
Minori blushed even more and Haruka went over to comfort her, “It looks cute on your Minori, don’t worry. It suits you!”
The brunette whined but smiled as her favourite idol and best friend complimented her. It was time to get this started.
The girls played out some impromptu roleplay, with poor Minori being used as a noble steed to the witch. Airi acted as a storyteller who was pulling the strings between a conflict of the witches and the pirates, the latter being Haruka’s clan. By the end of it, Minori was lying on the floor.
“Alright everyone, let’s have a fun vote on who’s costume was best and the loser has to wear this silly blow up pumpkin costume I found!” Airi grinned, showing her devilish side today.
Of course, all the guys except Minori got a decent amount of votes. But Minori was a good sport about it, she knew she was not on the level of popularity as the others yet.
“Ah! I have to wear the pumpkin suit!? First my horse and now this!”
“Ah I can’t wait to see you in this, Minori-chan~ You’re going to look so cute!” Shizuku seemed more excited than anyone else.
“How about we help you?” Haruka suggested.
Minori got her horse costume off and slipped into the currently deflated pumpkin suit. Airi pushed the button on the remote to the suit and it began filling up with air.
“Ohh… how did I end up in this situation…” Minori wasn’t upset in the slightest, just embarrassed. Eventually the costume was full of air and all she could do was wiggle her arms and legs around. This made her lose balance, causing Minori to topple over and take down Shizuku and Haruka with her.
“Ah! Pumpkin down! Pumpkin down! Mayday mayday!” Airi laughed mischievously.
“Minori… I can’t… move!” Haruka couldn’t help but giggle at the situation while Minori laid on top of her, unable to roll away.
“Oh look at her feet wiggling around, tickle tickle~”
The brunette’s eyes widened as Airi began to softly skitter her nails around her feet.
“KYAAAAHAHAHAH AIRI-CHAHAHAHAN!!”
“Ow Minori! Your squeals are so cute but so loud!”
Haruka and Shizuku joined in, tickling Minori’s neck and tracing up her arms as they flailed about.
“NOOOHOHOHOOO!!!”
“Minori for the most ticklish member of MORE MORE JUMP~!” Shizuku teased.
“Minori~ Coochie coochie coo~” Airi skittered her nails along the back of the first year's knees, causing her to squeal and kick her legs wildly.
“EEEHEHEHEHEEEP!!! AIRI-CHAHAHAHAN!”
“Ha ha ha~! The great devil Airi strikes again! Perhaps I should tickle some of my other minions…”
Haruka and Shizuku stopped and stared in fear as Airi approached them.
“Haruka-chan, Minori-chan… she can’t take all three of us at once…” Shizuku smiled knowingly.
“Ah! N-No don’t even think about it! I will use… Happy Tickle Attack!”
“Nice try Airi-chan… Get her everyone!!”
Minori made a move to roll herself onto Airi’s legs so she couldn’t escape while Haruka and Shizuku got to work on their revenge on behalf of the brunette. The four were enjoying themselves a bit too much that they forgot they were evening streaming… not that the viewers minded at all~

Hello pal, I hope the cats are doing well and some kittens are staying indoors haha! 💖
For the fic ask, "processing" for Body, Bone, and mind
"small things" for Your body will be a monument
And "new shapes" for Operation: Make Darius like me
(sorry I'm on mobile I can't copy the cool font & shapes with each one lol)
Hi, friend!!! They are, thanks goodness, they were going to drive me insane ahaha. I hope your September has improved even a little!!! 💖
Thanks so much for the questions!!! From this ask game
✑ PROCESSING: pick a fic and I’ll tell you what it was like to write it!
Okay, if you want me to be very honest, it was a bit of a "oh, my god, oh, my god, oh, my god, why did I procrastinate so long, I'm so late. Girl, why" since it was a gift ahahaha 😭 Guys who keep writing fics the night before it's due, I will never learn.
Aside from that, I was super excited though, like I vaguely mentioned in the tags, it's based in a convo I had with my friend Terra over on Discord and gods, it was such a iconic one haha. The amount of people who did a double take when we mentioned it like "I'm sorry, the organ thieving convo???" is so funny to me. I had been wanting to write it for ages, so I was very hyped for it.
The most fun part to write was Hunter's little breakdown. I'm sorry, Hunter. I just really enjoy getting to write characters when they're in a bit of a messy mental state and playing a little with the narrative to convey that.
♡ SMALL THINGS: pick a fic and I’ll tell you my favorite minor detail from it!
Oh, I had SO much fun deciding the details of the altar, since obviously not everything that goes in a traditional Día de Muertos altar made the cut, since I was trying to do it inspired by and not completely the same thing, plus adding a magical element to it to make it work for the Boiling Isles.
Another little detail I had a lot of fun with was deciding how corporeal to make Flapjack's spirit and that whole description when Hunter has him in his hands. I was going for a very specific feeling and I think it came out nicely.
✰ NEW SHAPES: send me a fic and I’ll give you an alternate direction the fic could have gone!
I don't think I had many variations with this one, it was so straightforward with the silliness and then coming clean haha. Though the original intention was NOT for Hunter to snap at Darius like "wow, yeah, be myself? You didn't even like me before", that just kinda came up by itself when I was writing the scene and along with the more serious little convo they had there, it just felt right.
So I guess the alternate direction was the same but sillier haha. Like the premise of Hunter trying to imitate someone else to be a "good kid" is angsty to begin with but I was going for goofy originally. Somehow that never works out that well for me haha.

twenty questions for fic writers
Tagged by my best gal @feralkwe
1. How many works do you have on AO3? 46. I have a lot of fic that just lives on Tumblr or that was on older fic sites, so that's not really indicative of my total fic amount lol.
2. What’s your total AO3 word count? 338,924. Again, A LOT of one shots and stuff elsewhere.
3. What fandoms do you write for? On AO3, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, FFXIV, Skyrim, Good Omens, One Piece, and Star Wars
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
Blitzed (GO 1941 smut and my first smut ever lol), The Altus Inquisitor (DAI AU, pretty much as it says on the tin), Get Closer To Me (GO S1 night at Crowley's place fic), Heartbeats (a series of one shots for a One Piece Corazon lives AU), and The Ecstasy of Anthony J Crowley (GO divinity kink smut fic)
5. Do you respond to comments? I try to! I didn't always but I'm trying to get better about that because I really appreciate each and every comment.
6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Uuuuuh, might be For Want of Words? It's GO post S2 and not fix it so it is not happy lol. Possibly Wicked White, which ends as Shadowbringers ends and thus isn't the happiest place for a WoL/Emet fic lol. Otherwise, they're series and neither finished but my Law as the new Corazon AU series was just bummers all the way down and, ironically, Too Much of a Good Thing gets progressively less... optimistic. Lots of sad smut and series I guess.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? If I resist making a smut joke, Just For Two is one of the fluffiest things I've ever written. Pure GO S1 fluff fic written for the fun of it.
8. Do you get hate on fics? Not really? I got an... indirectly cruel comment one time on something but people are generally very nice on the fics themselves.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Yes. The Good Omens kind lmao. I mean, I've branched out but it was the first fandom I wrote smut for and continues to be the one that gets the most. It hovers between that M and E rating for good reason. Very feelsy and in the case of GO, I love some religious symbolism lol. I like to weave it into longer works but I also happily write one shots (or try, sometimes it takes a few chapters to get to my one shot plans).
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? I don't think I've ever written a crossover. I've done crossover art but I tend to stay within a fandom for fic.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not that I'm aware of.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Again... I don't think so?
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Yes! I used to write with my best friend a lot in high school and I adored it. It's one of the things I miss most about that friendship and, in general, something I miss doing.
14. What’s your all-time favorite ship? Do I even have to say? Aziraphale/Crowley own my soul. That said, I do have the softest of soft spots for my Trev/Dorian and Shakarian. Also, Justice/Anders/Hawke because it burns with the added power of spite.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will? Ahahaha... *sweats nervously.* So many. I am determined to finish the Altus Inquisitor but it's hard to get my heart back into DA with good reason. I'd love to continue my various OP series but I doubt I ever will for a few reasons.
16. What are your writing strengths? Characterization. I work really hard on it. I obsess over it. There is nothing I think of more in any fandom than characterization lol. I'd also like to think I'm good with emotion and description.
17. What are your writing weaknesses? Finishing anything ever. I'm a whimsical creature and if I'm not into something at the moment, it's really hard to get myself to focus on things. I also feel like a monkey with a typewriter any time I'm trying to write smut, but I think that's just the nature of the beast.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? I am really bad with languages so I try to just avoid it.
19. First fandom you wrote for? Jurassic Park! As a wee bab I wrote about a raptor ripping someone open and eating them lmao.
20. Favorite fic you’ve ever written? Oh man, oh man, this is actually really hard for me. There are a lot of things I've written that I'm fond of for different reasons. I adore my AUs because I put so much of my soul into them to make them feel authentic. Various fics for various fandoms hit hard for different reasons. If I absolutely HAD TO choose, I'd say either The Altus Inquisitor, because Lucien is my baby and I genuinely enjoy rereading it, or Dig Down from my GO AU, which I feel like is just a strong short fic and best sums up that whole series. Both are hard to recommend though because one is chronically unfinished (I am trying!) and the other is smack dab in the middle of a series.
I tag anyone who wants to do this because I am too tired to think rn. Go forth with my blessing

Bonsoir amie des orages ! 2: If you could meet anyone on this earth, who would it be? 24: Do you have a collection of anything? 76: In your opinion, what makes a great relationship? please
Bonsoir ! ^.^
2: If you could meet anyone on this earth, who would it be?
Hmm, if the person would be living, then I actually don't know. Maybe Cate Blanchett or Isabelle Huppert? I really admire them. Maybe some friends that I haven't seen in a while but it's too difficult to reach them irl atm (but I get to catch up with some soon, so I'm excited for that <3). Maybe a former lover just to clear up some things that never saw appropriate closure.
If I could pick someone who has passed, the list of people I'd want to meet would be endless! Edwige, Cleopatra, Elizabeth I, Vivien Leigh, Sarah Bernhardt, Shakespeare, Jean Cocteau and Jean Marais, some family members who have moved onto the next realm (which would also be a long list and mostly male, interestingly enough).
24: Do you have a collection of anything?
A few things, I suppose! I own a few antique jewellery pieces (as in, like, maybe less than five pieces). Of course I am a NERD and own a shitload of books that I someday intend to read but haven't yet (I'm sorta slowly absorbing one of my uncle's libraries bc it turns out we would have had a LOT of similar interests). I also sort of have an accidental shine for Edwige?? It was never supposed to be like that but I just keep end up collecting random little pieces about her (I've literally barred myself from ebay sometimes lmfao), and when I finally have a more long-term place to live, I feel a whole section of my apartment could be dedicated to her alone, let alone all my other theatre/classic film interests! But for the Edwige things, the "collection" ranges from the books she wrote (one she signed :) ), a theatre programme, some film cards, magazines/magazine clippings, copies of films (duh), and vintage photos. <3
I also want to print out all the photos I've taken that I really like (either from my phone camera or my film camera), but that's a work in progress, ahahaha! :P I also own an increasing amount of unusual jewellery (which i LOVE) and some of it is rather stark or macabre. I own a variety of different hand-fans, too, for the summer. <3
I just KNOW I'm forgetting a really obvious collection I own - but I'm too tired to remember it now... -_-""
76: In your opinion, what makes a great relationship?
Oooooh, this is such a good question! To me, I think open and unwavering communication, honesty, trust are all of top-tier importance. Some similar interests, and good sense of humour also helps a lot. Being kind, understanding/compassionate, and passionate with your lover is also key. Being self-aware and having an understanding of yourself is also important to help a healthy relationship function (knowing your own emotional limits, etc. so then you don't end up breaking your lover's heart repeatedly due to a disparity neither of you knew about/something you can't handle yourself and something your partner cannot help you with). Also you need to have fun together! Share experiences together, be willing to work through the bad and celebrate the good together. Support one another if a partner is going through a period of difficulty, too. And, well, you must love one another and appreciate one another for what you each are! I'm sure I could go on, but those would be the most important factors.
Merci pour les questions ! <3
let's get personal.

Tumblr media
“Is someone there?” the young girl whispered, holding her legs close to her chest. She didn’t dare to peek out from the cash register of the K-Mart. It was her only refuge from the harsh, unforgiving apocalypse around her, and while there were initially other survivors, they’d all left her to brave the outside world.
The shuffling of footsteps instantly put her on edge. That never led to anything good… maybe it was more of those zombies. She’d boarded up the windows and used the flashlights available when the power blew, but she never knew what would happen in an apocalyptic situation, especially now that she was on her own. Elizabeth Jane Case took a breath and reached for the pistol she carried at all times, aiming it directly at Carlos.
“If you’re with Umbrella, I-I’ll kill you! I’ll kill you, you bastard! I’m not afraid of you!” The look in her eyes betrayed her. She might’ve said she wasn’t afraid, but the way her hands trembled as she took aim made her true feelings clear enough. “Leave me alone… I don’t need your pity. I can handle myself.”
Still, they were other survivors. The blonde let the pistol clatter to the tile floor. It echoed throughout the store. She lifted her hands in surrender, and her eyes darted between Claire and Carlos. She never gave them a name - she’d always hated Elizabeth Jane, and they could call her what they wanted, so long as they didn’t actively try to hurt her like some of the other survivor groups that had came through and tried to raid the place back when it wasn’t just her.
“Who are you? What do you want from me?”
{K-Mart and Carlos first meeting! My girl is… not having a fun time, ahahaha}
__________
{ Awww, poor K-mart! XD }
Larger stores were pretty good bets for supplies, usually. Smaller ones were picked clean because there wasn’t a lot of ground to cover, but with large stores, people generally didn’t look everywhere. There was always a locker, a desk, a drawer, a closet, or something that someone overlooked, and that’s where the best supplies could sometimes be found. So when the convoy came across a mini mall with a K-mart in it, Carlos heard Claire over the radio as soon as the thought had entered his mind. Yep, she wanted to check it out. He didn’t blame her at all.
They pulled the convoy into the center of the parking lot, paying no mind to the lines painted to demarcating the spaces, because who cared anymore. A lot of rules and laws that civilization had thrived on were all but meaningless now. And although being out in the open, exposed and visible, might have seemed like a detriment, it also meant they could see anything or anyone coming from a long distance away. Once all the vehicles were situated, Carlos began gearing up and getting his rifle ready. He saw Claire approaching as he got out of his vehicle, and when she asked if he wanted to go with her to clear the K-mart, he nodded. “Let’s do it,” he said without hesitation.
When they first entered, it began like any other routine clearing. They started checking every aisle, every corner, making sure there were no undead or anything else harmful. It was of absolute importance to be certain there was nothing dangerous in the building before they sent civilians, including children, in to more thoroughly search for supplies. They didn’t even get a third of the way through clearing the store when they heard noises up by a cash register. On instinct, Carlos lifted his rifle at the ready, but when he heard the girl’s voice and saw her aiming a gun at him, he knew he wanted to try and do whatever he could to help her.
“It’s alright,” he said, remaining calm and moving very slowly as he moved his rifle to the side and let it hang by its strap. Putting up his hands to make himself less of a threat, he tried to talk her down. “We’re not going to hurt you.” He could see how scared she was, but she also had a fair amount of pride to work around, too. He just hoped she wouldn’t do anything stupid. “We’re not with Umbrella,” he said, though he felt a twinge of guilt at that. Not anymore. “We’ve got a convoy of survivors, all we wanna do is help you.” He smiled a little at her feistiness even in the face of being so afraid. “If you want to take care of yourself, that’s fine, but you don’t have to. Let us help you. It’s alright, I promise. I’m Carlos, and this is Claire. We’re not here to hurt you,” he said, trying to humanize the situation a little in the hopes of making her feel more comfortable.
When she dropped the gun, he nodded to her, as if to say she’d made the right decision. “We just wanna help. Are you injured at all? Hungry?” he asked. He started slowly moving a bit closer, not wanting to scare her but wanting her to better see him and understand that he wasn’t there to cause her any harm.

Do you make your bed? - barely lol sometimes when I clean I make it look super nice! But usually it's a mess of blankets and other things (clothes etc. lol)
Favorite number? - 333 is such a classic. 9 is a fun one bc of that too, it's a really popular choice but also very recurrent in my life lol
What's your job? - I have two officially! I drive delivery and work retail 🔥🔥🔥 trying to start my own business developing websites and producing music, making progress!
If you could go back to school, would you? - no but yes? If I had to, I would do more theater!! More debate!! More coding!!! I'm trying to get more into that last one. I'd also like to pursue more music education
Can you parallel park? - Yes I'm so very good at it (still hate and avoid it like the plague tho lmao)
Do you think aliens are real? - Yeah!! Statistically almost guaranteed imo, the universe is massive
Can you drive a manual car? - haven't in a long time but definitely could
Guilty Pleasure? - shitposting and Doomscrolling ngl ESPECIALLY Tumblr n insta 😂😭🙏 also Monster Energy and RedBull
Favorite type of music? - story-rich music of any genre 🔥🔥🔥 and rock-and-roll of all types and languages. Some of my favorite bands are Rise Against, Yorushika, and the Mountain Goats! Also a sucker for folk punk/Midwest Emo lmao
Do you like puzzles? - love em! They're a nice passtime.
Favorite Childhood Sport? - gymnastics and karate!! I loved those, and got pretty good at some things. I still kind of want to be an acrobat or a martial artist.
Do you talk to yourself? - AHAHAHA um. Yes. A lot. Out loud and in my head. Found out I am a system a few years ago so yeah that makes sense oof sometimes I'll even be mid-sentence and interrupt myself aaaaaaa
Tea or Coffee? - Coffee!! I love green tea but the taste of black coffee is so comforting. Usually I prefer iced coffee/espresso, but hot coffee is good caffeine for cheap.
First thing you wanted to be when you grew up? - completely independent lmao (still working on that one...)
What movies do you adore? - the Only marvel movies I like r the Guardians of the Galaxy ones and I love them an embarrassing amount lol. The whole trilogy is just nostalgic and special. I also love Die Hard unironically
Tagging @mngrsh @laniemae @xenonsense @rosquinn @absurdly-overpowered-astronaut sorry for any double-tags, no pressure!
never been part of a tag game, sounds really fun! tagged by dear Lanvender, @khan-crete
Do you make your bed? A freshly decrumbed, stuffed animal arranged and dirty clothes removed bed feels great. How often do I do this? We mustn't ask (like once or twice a month) that's all making the bed entails for me, I just have a fitted then normal sheet and blankets
Favorite Number? 4 4 4 4 4! I've loved four my entire life she is like a goddess to me. 2+2 2*2 2^2, divides into halves twice. can only compete with sixteen, whose status and 2^4 and 4^2 is nice, but not as symmetric. 37 and 73 have a place in my heart as the 12th and 21st primes, but not a large place compared to 4
What's your job? What do I get paid for? undergrad lab TA, what do I do? grad research in low energy nuclear physics
If you could go back to school, would you? In school technically still. Would I rewind time to experience school again? highschool no college yes. would I go back for another college degree? I could be convinced if it would be cheap and unobtrusive to my current schooling. Was always torn between physics and linguistics. I made the right choice but I always wonder what if.
Can you Parallel Park? I have done it, on the driving test, like four or five years ago. I think I could do it again, but not too confident
Do you think Aliens are real? Eh, probably in a 'the observable universe 9.3e+9 ly across, it must have happened more than once' kinda way, but not in a 'they've been feeding us tech for thousands of years or are visiting us' kinda way.
Can you drive a manual car? Never tried, hubris tell me yes, anxiety with even normal cars tells me I'd probably fuck up the transmission while trying to leave the driveway. gonna say yeag
Guilty Pleasure? I think like cheesy childhood disney live action movies?, generally I'm pretty full chested about the things I enjoy
Favorite Type of Music? yeah, hard, a lot of vocaloid, which isn't reallly a genre, a lot of edm genres from like old school monstercat, a lot of jrock by way of anime OP's of show's I've never watched then finding other songs by those artists. some rock music though that genre is also extremely expansive and I'm not sure how I'd categorize a lot of it. Generally my music consumption consists of a group of maybe five songs completely unrelated on repeat for months at a time and genre is not a huge factor in that
Do you like puzzles? twisty puzzles like rubik's cube type puzzles are really fun working, towards doing a 3x3 blindfolded but challenging, I used to do jigsaw's with my mom but over the course of a very long time because we'd get frustrated. crosswords, but I'm no good at them
Favorite Childhood Sport? Soccerrrr. Wish I'd stayed with it, but there were only a couple more years before there wasn't a league for my age group anyway, been trying to get back into it recreationally
Do you talk to yourself? I do, but as if I'm talking to someone else. I prefer not to do it because I'm not content with my voice atm, but I find myself doing it a lot especially when getting stuck on research stuff trying to talk it out or I will say a comment to someone I disagree with outloud rather than typing it and posting it. A lot of this is to my reflection which is probably part of the reason it feels like someone else lol
Tea or Coffee? tea all the way. drank iced sweet black tea my entire childhood and started drinking it hot with milk in college. I was the kind of person that disliking coffee was a sort of pillar of my tastes, but then a few years ago made it with like half milk and a lot of sugar and like it, lotta people wouldn't call that coffee, but eh.
First thing you wanted to be when you grew up? The actual first thing was everything. I would amalgamate like all the stereotypes of things kids want to be into one so a firefighter-astronaut-whatever else. When I got a better sense of my interests, inventor, so I guess like product designer, but what that meant to me was I got to sit around and think of neat gadgets and items then figure out how to make them like freeze ray, time machine, clone gun, that kind of thing lol. the first practical idea of a job I wanted was theoretical physicist in like middle school, which I kinda am now so success I guess
What Movies do you Adore? not much of a movie person, but like to watch movies other people are interested in with them, love castle in the sky, LOTR, howl's moving castle, your name, probably others in those categories I don't know about yet or have forgotten and I have a strong soft spot for childhood halloween movies like twitches and halloweentown
I'm curious what @arc-archernar and @charyou-tree have got to say if they'd like to, and anyone else that wants to participate!

take (me) out.
miya osamu x f!reader.
wc: 2.2k, fluff.
how you go from being a regular at onigiri miya to regularly grabbing takeout for you and the restaurant owner.
for @keiyoomi, happy holidays dear! sorry it’s a little late, but i hope you can enjoy it some. much love, your hqc secret santa ♡
Tumblr media
“let me buy you a meal.”
osamu presses his palms to the table as he leans forward. the 30 inch table hitting your thighs is big enough to seat four and yet it’s a barrier that dissolves as soon as his nose is less than a few inches away from yours.
he peers at you through his eyelashes. “come on. a treat for my favorite customer.” his voice is all things low and enticing, luring you in like a siren.
your eyes are threatening to roll but they can’t seem to tear away from him. one way or another, you manage to rasp out, “i’ll think about it.”
he’s far too close. too close, so much that you think he’ll be able to hear your pulse skyrocket. yeah, the food is amazing, but you stick around for the sort-of-friend and extremely attractive owner who’s got you trapped in his clutches.
the corner of his lips curve up. “so it’s a date then?”
“definitely not,” you huff, hiking your bag over your shoulder. your voice shakes a little and you’re trying your best not to let it show that your heart is doing jumping jacks and your stomach is flipping over like a pancake.
it’s been almost 10 minutes since you told yourself you’d leave but your feet are practically shackled to the ground. it's also been 10 minutes since the place closed, leaving only you, the restaurant owner, and the poor part timer he hired a few weeks ago behind.
there’s an odd sense of deja vu that consumes you. the two of you have definitely been in this position before, just without the fresh faced high schooler hanging around the back.
“think about it,” osamu says, standing up straight. you straighten your back with him, forgetting how tall he was. curse his blessed genes.
but while you’re busy cursing those divine genes (jeans?) of his, you do think about it. the line between friendship and dating is thin, and you’ve always thought you’d already crossed that point with him - that you learned too much about each other in just a few short weeks, crumbling any sort of potential to date him.
you can’t help imagining it nonetheless - the fluff, the slice of life. it’s just too ideal, and you have no choice but to imagine since it’s not actually panning out.
your lips tighten as you squint at him. he stacks his bowls up and it sounds like the world’s saddest song, truth be told.
is he the friends to lovers type?
you sigh heavily and set your bag back down, walking back to the table. “fine, yeah,” you mumble, heat rushing to your cheeks. “tomorrow at 7. the ramen place across town?”
he grins loosely and you swear the corners of his eyes literally twinkle. how’s that even possible?
Tumblr media
“you’re here early.”
you shift on the balls of your feet and click your phone. “traffic was light.”
a half truth, half lie. it just feels like you’ve been injected with adrenaline and cortisol and you’re ready to bounce off of every wall known to mankind with how nervous you are.
you’re fine.
osamu hums and slips his hands in his pockets. you blink at him for a moment. what if he’s just the friends to friends type? you’ve always hated dtr, but what if he really is just treating his favorite customer?
“what’re you looking at? do i have something on my face?”
“tch.” you roll your lips under your teeth and swallow your smile. “you look out of your element.” you can’t deny that the black t-shirt suits him well enough, but this baby blue linen button down is a gift from the gods themselves.
“next time i’ll grab that perfume,” he jokes sarcastically, “the one that smells like rice. that’ll make you remember how hard i work.”
fighting your smile this time is a lot more painful. “i never said anything about how you slack off at work,” you lilt. “your poor part timer can attest to that.”
he pokes the temple of your head and you laugh as you push the double doors to the restaurant. the bells jingle and you feel completely warm, inside and out.
the receptionist seats you at a booth next to a window adorned with fake flowers. what kind of cottagecore fantasy is this?
you glance at osamu, working on making a judgement of the place himself. is he into cottagecore? there’s not a moment to spare as your eyes rake him up and down - he’s definitely light academia. maybe dark academia, even.
the booth feels stuffy with just you and osamu there. you clasp your fingers together under the table and goosebumps travel up your skin.
a pretty twenty-something year old slips your menus on the table and osamu flashes her an easy smile, like he’s a model for hollister or something. your eyes grow wide for a minute and you glance back and forth between osamu and the waitress.
you’re not even sure what they’ve said to each other because your mind is all white static. and when she says, “let me know if you need anything,” to osamu and osamu only, it feels like you’re the one who’s figured out e=mc2 instead of albert einstein.
“why are you flirting with the waitress?” you whisper when she’s out of earshot. you’re not even sure what you feel, but you think your soul has completely left your body.
you’ve always hated this trope too.
he takes a sip of his drink and for a split second, you can see him poorly trying to hide a laugh. “who else should i be flirting with?” he finally deadpans. “you? you said this wasn’t a date.”
“oh, so now you’re trying to get hung up on technicalities.” you lean back in your seat and fold your arms over your chest.
osamu rests an elbow on the table and puts his hand on his chin. “so, are we having a date then?”
there’s that indescribable ambivalence that floods you once again as soon as you look him in the eye. his eyes are unchanging - they look at you like they’ve always looked at you since you regularly showed up to his restaurant, since you became his friend, and since you accidentally stayed just a little too late after his restaurant closed.
you toss your straw wrapper at him and avert your gaze back to your lap. “definitely not.”
Tumblr media
the door handle feels cold as you twist it. so it’s a friends to friends type of story? that’s fine. not the way you wanted it to pan out, but at least the date was good for one thing. osamu’s as good a friend as he probably is a partner.
you sigh. you’re doing a shit job of convincing yourself, that’s for sure.
“welcome in - ”
osamu’s grin wavers and then falls into a simple smile, like he’s been waiting for you. you wish your heart would just do the one job it has: beat normally and consistently. yet every time you look at him, it wants to participate in a ballet competition or something so ridiculous to the point where your lungs are struggling to keep up.
“look what the cat dragged in,” he says, walking up to you. “i was wondering if you were coming today or not.”
he’s back to wearing his black t-shirt and nothing has felt more familiar to you.
“why wouldn’t i?” you test. you’re not even sure what you’re looking for by asking him, but you’ll consider even a response as the slightest win.
he gauges you for a moment. “i thought you might’ve left me for the place across town.”
and now you pray for your mind to do its job: objectively process and synthesize information. instead, you fixate on how he’s used the word ‘me’ instead of ‘us,’ as any owner would when he’s talking about a customer.
“i would never,” you say breezily. “this place is the one and only for me.”
he does nothing to hide his smile. “and what about me?”
your brows shoot up the same way your pulse does, as if it already didn’t feel like you were running a marathon. “what about you?”
you’re playing a dangerous game and toying along the line of dense, but maybe you’re better off establishing boundaries before you go into v-fib.
he sets his tray down and slips his hands into the apron loosely tied around his waist. in any other world, you’d think it would be impossible for an apron to accentuate his broad shoulders, but this world seems to defy you day in and day out.
there’s a sharp inhale as he leans against the table. for a moment you think he’s going to follow with, ‘when am i going to be your one and only?’ but you breathe in relief when all he says is, “this place is always here for you.”
even that sends you hurtling down a cascade of different feelings, though. each conversation with osamu seems to be a different boss battle you don’t know how to defeat.
“thank you,” you finally say curtly, setting your things down. "what’s the special for today?”
he grins. “you can have me, or i guess i can make you some food.”
just when you think you’ve dodged him, he comes back at you, swinging at full force.
Tumblr media
“okay, fine.”
osamu’s brows arch as he watches you stack a few bowls up.
“i’ll buy you a meal,” you sigh, looking up at him. “sure, maybe that high schooler’s been slipping me a boxed lunch every time i swing by before work.”
you’re really just trying to catch osamu before you start your monotonous days at the office, but he’s always holed up in the back. honestly, you’re there more than you’d like considering you swing by in the evenings now too.
“do you know how heartbreaking it was for me to hear my favorite customer’s been stealing from me?” he says dramatically.
“you should really talk to that kid in the back,” you mumble, looking away from him. “i always thought you allowed it.”
he pokes your head and you roll back on your heels. “i don’t even give my brother free food.”
“stingy,” you huff, looking away from him. you’re conflicted between guilt and disappointment - clearly, this friends to friends storyline is a little more than you can handle.
you fight the urge to gasp to yourself. what if it’s an unrequited love?
he grabs the tray full of stacked dishes as he smiles at you, heading to the back. you watch as his biceps peek out from underneath the sleeves of his fitted shirt and you think that maybe you should save the drooling for the food and the food only.
he sticks his head out from the back. “what’re you doing right now?”
you look around the empty restaurant. “it’s 10 pm and i’m here, does it look like i’m doing anything important?”
“you wanna try something i’m adding to the menu?”
your eyes light up like a five year old on christmas morning. “so you’re giving me free food then?”
he pretends to think about it for a minute. “only if you’ll take me out tomorrow.”
you agree as if you hadn’t been thinking about it all along.
Tumblr media
osamu leans back in his seat as he takes a swing from his bottle. “this is what you meant by taking me out tonight?”
“come on,” you say. the cocktail against your lips is especially sweet with osamu sitting next to you.
he leans in towards you. you’re surprised that you no longer feel like you’re running a marathon, but your muscles still feel sore, like you’ve got knots everywhere that you can’t seem to untie.
“i guess i’ll let it slide this time,” he teases gently. “you owe me food though.”
you pucker your lips. “i guess i’ll spare some time for you.”
“you should, considering you stole all that food from me.”
“it was only two lunches,” you whine, holding up two fingers for added effect. “consider it your repayment for all those evenings i helped you out.”
he laughs and the dull ache in your chest tightens. mutual pining would be the most ideal, but right now you’re stuck on unrequited love. you’ve long ditched friends to friends because only god knows you can’t seem to keep yourself together around the restaurant owner.
but when he says, “you know, i’d been wanting to ask you out for forever,” you feel the gears click into place. “and not as my favorite customer.”
you choke on the martini. why won’t it go down as easy as the words coming out of his lips?
his eyes crinkle as your vision blurs. maybe you are running a marathon when you’re next to him, because you can’t ever seem to catch a break. the dim lighting of the bar does nothing to slow your pulse either, with almost every nerve running haywire.
“and i know we just talked about you buying me food again,” he says slowly, “so would you like to come by tomorrow night?”
if a bar was the secret to this recipe, you would’ve brought him much sooner. “i should’ve bought you a beer a million years ago then,” you mumble into your drink. you look at him through the corners of yours to see him smiling expectantly at you. “but i think i’ll take you up on that offer.”
and that’s how your friends to lovers, mutual pining storyline has you bringing takeout to his apartment after he’s had a long day at work. maybe you’ll even get to explore ‘and then there was only one bed,’ but you’ll take it one bit at a time.

even if satoru was no longer a kid, you still made him bento box lunches. you never stopped doing it. you'd wake up early in the morning, cook him a delicious meal, and before giving him his good-bye hug, by the time he has to go to jujutsu tech as a teacher.
and currently, you ended up making more sweets than usual, particularly kikufuku mochi, which was a favorite of gojo's, along with some matcha mille crepe cake and red velvet brownies, and that's when a light bulb appeared on the top of your head. what if you visited jujutsu tech and brought your loving son some food? it has also been a long while since you last went there. although working in a café was fun and not that tiresome due to your magic, it does get boring and a bit stuffy at times.
using your chaos magic, you closed the shop early and had all the food you were going to bring packaged all nicely as you tied your hair and slipped on a red jacket. once you were all set, you made your way towards the school and first teleported to where yaga-sensei was, or principal yaga, you should say.
yaga was in his office, working on some paperwork, when you appeared out of nowhere, causing him to jump from his chair. satoru was right about your lack of cursed energy, as he failed to sense you right away.
the young man yelped in surprise, "[name]-san! you scared me. w-what are you doing here?"
"sorry for the intrusion!" you dipped your head into a small bow, giggling as you placed a box of red velvet brownies, cakes, and mochi on his desk. "it's just that i closed my shop early to bring satoru food, and i figured it'd be nice if i gave you some too. i ended up making plenty."
"that's very thoughtful of you, [name]-san, but this is a lot of food." yaga blinked profusely behind his glasses at the amount of food you had just given him, together with how many you were effortlessly carrying and balancing all by yourself.
"say, where's shoko-chan and suguru-kun? i have sweets to give them too." you inquired.
"shoko is in the infirmary, it should be her break right now. as for suguru, he's on a mission, he won't be back until later." yaga-san informed you, standing up from his office chair to take the packages from you. "allow me to help you carry those boxes. satoru and his students are in the grounds."
you chirped rather happily, "no worries, i can carry them all by myself. thank you, yaga-san."
"are you sure, [name]-sa—before yaga could protest, you had already disappeared from sight.
you first dropped by at the infirmary, where you overheard shoko and ijichi conversing. the young woman was surprised to see you. you gave her and ijichi a bunch of sweets, but not until you hugged her and gave him a headpat and left.
following satoru's cursed energy, you were able to locate the grounds and find them all in no time. there stood your son, facilitating the training of both first-year and second-year students. your chest became fuzzy and warm at the sight of your son handling the children. it looks like your little snowflake has already grown up. seeing him teach with a smile takes you back to the time wherein he told you he wanted to become a teacher at jujutsu tech. at first, you thought he was joking, but he was serious. satoru did have a soft spot for children after all, just like you, his mom.
"satoru-chan!" you called out, catching your son's and everyone's attention.
everyone halted whatever they were doing and turned their heads towards you, all in unison, and they were left astounded. satoru was the first to react upon seeing you.
"mom? what are you doing here?" that was all it took for his first and second-year students to scream in surprise, with the exception of megumi, who already knew who you were.
"WHAT?!"
odd looks had broke through their faces, mouths hanging in agape as their gojo-sensei immediately left their side and rushed towards you, taking the boxes you held in each hand.
"mom, what are these boxes? what about the café?" your son had bombarded you with questions of concern.
"i made plenty of food, so i brought you some." you smiled sweetly, extending your hand towards his head and gave it a gentle pat. "no need to worry about a thing. i closed the café early today, so i can pay you a visit."
"gojo-sensei, is that really your mom?!" nobara was having a panic as she and the rest of the students eyed you from head to toe. "she's so pretty!"
without your chaos magic and all of the red psionics surrounding you, you were a breathtakingly beautiful woman. you peered down at yourself, not really quite getting what satoru's student was saying. you haven't gotten the chance to change your clothes. you were wearing a barely red zipped up hoodie over a shirt and sweatpants, and strands of your hair hung loose due to how you hurried to fix up your hair with a hair tie earlier.
"oh, my! you flatter me too much sweetie." a soft yet sweet giggle had escaped your lips.
"it's true though, gojo-san!" itadori exclaimed, agreeing with nobara's statement.
"she's not a gojo." your now grown-up gumi-chan explained briefly to his fellow classmates and earned another look of shock from them.
"eh? do you know her, fushiguro?" panda quipped, turning towards him.
"she's gojo-sensei's adoptive mom." fushiguro answered in a murmur, his soft eyes locking with yours as a faint blush slowly spread across his cheeks. "she used to look after me and my sister."
"no wonder you don't look like gojo-sensei!" maki stated with wide eyes as she promptly folded her arms across her chest.
"salmon!" inumaki said in agreement, nodding his head.
"i'm satoru's adoptive mom. i go by [surname], [surname] [name] to be exact!" you introduced yourself, smiling at each and every single one of them as you gently pulled fushiguro to your side and rubbed his back in a motherly way. "it's a pleasure to meet you all, i've heard so much about you guys from satoru! from yuuji-kun, nobara-chan, maki-chan, inumaki-kun, panda-kun to yuuta-kun, such a shame the poor boy is overseas."
"gojo-sensei, how come we never met [surname]-san before?!" nobara cried out in an exaggerated manner.
"well, she's not a faculty of the school, she doesn't really go here that much. only a few instances." gojo chuckled at his first-year student, recalling how you'd only make your way here in jujutsu tech every time he and suguru would have a fight, or whenever they need someone to help them.
although you were affiliated with strong connections in the jujutsu world despite not having jujutsu, you refused to involve yourself that much because as much as you hated it, the big three clans were still bugging you even if years had already passed.
"these are kikufuku mochi, brownies and crepe cakes!" gojo exclaimed, opening the boxes you were carrying earlier.
"that's right! i told you i made plenty of food!" you nodded, clasping your hands together. "i know, why don't you and the kids take a break and eat up?"
a gasp escaped your lips, "oh, my. i should have brought coffee and picnic blankets for everyone. looks like i'll just have to magic us a bunch."
"magic?" the first-year and second-year students asked, dumbfounded.
before you could answer, you locked and twitched your fingers, and the next thing everyone knew, all of them were now sat in a big picnic blanket you had gotten out of nowhere, all of the food you had brought were neatly set out in the middle and you even magicked hot coffee that were enough for everyone.
"EHH?!"
"HOW?!"
you softly chuckled at their expressions as you sat down beside satoru and megumi, taking a sip from the mug of coffee you had magicked in your hand, "as you've noticed, i don't have cursed energy. what i do have is chaos magic."
"chaos magic?" all of the students excluding megumi stared at you with interest and curiosity filled eyes.
"it allows me to manipulate reality at a molecular level without any restrictions." you continued to explain, raising a freehand to show everyone the red psionics of your magic that were wafting from your fingertips.
using your chaos magic, you had promptly turned the mug of coffee you had into a glass of water, then you proceeded to turn into a plate of freshly cookies, earning even more gasps and surprised looks from the students. it was just like a magician performing to children.
"SO COOL!" itadori exclaimed with wonderstruck eyes. "MAGIC IS REAL!"
"wait, [surname]-san." panda raised a hand, erm, paw, as if he was asking a question to a teacher. "does this mean you're stronger than gojo-sensei?"
a dramatic gasp had escaped gojo's breath as he yanked down his blindfond to stare at his students. "EXCUSE ME?!"
"you said you can manipulate reality at a molecular level without any restrictions, so can you get through gojo-sensei's infinity?" maki proceeded to ignore their teacher that was now throwing a fit in the background and ask you.
"well, i can bend the laws of physics, so.." you shrugged your shoulders, a fit of laughter erupting from your throat.
nobara exclaimed, stars filling her eyes. "what a girlboss, definitely a MILF. i aspire to be like you [surname]-san!"
"you should teach here at jujutsu tech just like gojo-sensei and geto-sensei, [surname]-san." panda suggested.
"oi, oi! quit stealing my mother from me!" with that, satoru encased you in his arms and glared at each of his students childishly. "mind you i'm one she bought these sweets for."
the students watched in awe of how their teacher was getting all jealous and protective of you. this says it all. gojo satoru is a literal embodiment of a manchild.
"hehe, to think gojo-sensei would be a such mama's boy." nobara snickered together with maki and itadori.
"[name]-san did say these sweets are to be eaten together, which means she brought them for us too." megumi stated in a matter of factly manner with a smug look as he took a sip of his own mug of coffee.
"you guys are absolute bullies. i can't believe my own beloved students would do this to me, their greatest teacher." satoru dramatically draped an arm over his eyes as he leaned against your shoulder, causing you to burst out laughing.
"i'm starting to think you're more of a child than them, snowflake." you commented with a grin, leaning your head against your knuckles as propped an elbow on your thigh.
"mom, don't call me that in front of my students!" satoru whined, immediately snapping his towards you to see you laughing and grinning about.
"why not? you're still my little snowflake, my wittle precious snowflake~" you pinched his cheek and spoke in a baby-like voice as you cooed, making the limitless sorcerer's face turn into a beet red color.
"she called gojo-sensei snowflake!" the students were unable to control their laughter and amusement. "snowflake-sensei!"
"gah, i'm so jealous! i want [surname]-san to be my mama too. can you sign my adoption papers?" an adorable pout had struck nobara's face as she looked at you with pleading eyes.
"tuna mayo!" inumaki pointed at himself too.
"looks like i have more children to take care of." you muttered to yourself as you smiled at each and every single one of them. "i already have satoru, shoko, suguru, megumi and tsumiki."
"i hate you guys, i'm keeping these box of kikufuku to myself." satoru shook his head and snatched the box of sweets, keeping it to his chest.
"now, now. don't be like that, snowflake." you turned towards him, rubbing his back in a motherly way.
every since then, you started coming over at the school more often due to satoru's students wanting to see you. the children loved you so much. years had already passed since you had taken satoru, megumi and tsumiki under your wing, you were still a magnet for children. so, everytime you'd visit them, you'd always bring them something good to eat or drink, and may or may not have ended up teaching them while at it.
sometimes, especially after a mission, the students would drop by at your café and you'd almost never make them pay. you would spoil them with sweets, pastries and drinks that were on the house. you made sure they weren't going home hungry.
of course, satoru's a little jealous because he just gained a bunch of rivals to your love and that they ended up loving and adoring you more than him, but he's happy that you're happy. he will always cherish the way you smiled and laughed with his students everytime you were with them.

That Flower Shop in Mondstadt (Various Mondstadt Characters)
“Oh! Mr. Diluc!” Diluc comes to your flower boutique every morning to pick up new flowers to replace to freshen up his winery which was just next door to your boutique. You always wonder why such a wealthy man would wanna buy flowers from your plain, humble shop. He had all the money in the world to buy much more beautiful flowers from much more famous and luxurious flower boutiques, so why buy here? Well, you weren’t one to question him, and you didn’t mind him.
“Good morning,” he simply stated as he went back to looking at the flowers.
“Those windwheel asters....did they come in yesterday?”
“Yeah! My family is constantly harvesting flowers, and I’m trying my best to help them!”
Your family run a farm all the way back in Liyue where they not just sell flowers, but fruits and vegetables too.
“Are you perhaps preparing for the Windblume Festival to take place? You sure have a loaded amount of it, as well as cecilias.”
“Well, I told them that and asked if they can import more of those flowers to, you know..”
“Economics.”
You giggled at his statement.
Your shop was at hot topic during the Windblume Festival. Not only were your flowers good quality, but they were cheap too, something you prided over your shop.
“Anyways, I would like to buy these windwheel asters.”
“Alright!”
After paying for his flowers, you greeted him.
“Hope you have a nice Windblume Festival, Diluc!”
It wasn’t visible, but his face was printed with a small smile on his delicate features.
“You too.”
=================================
“Good afternoon, y/n!”
“Hi, y/n!”
“Jean! Barbara! Welcome!”
Jean and Barbara, the two beautiful sisters, would always come here to visit your boutique to check out new flowers and, of course check up on their best friend, you. Always in the early afternoon.
“So, y/n. What tea have you brewed today?”
“Some osmanthus tea.”
Your family love delivering herbs to you, just so you won’t miss the taste of home. You found that really sweet, and also a great opportunity to share this earthy tea to others not from Liyue.
“Ooh! Nice!”
You poured the tea into three teacups as the smell of the osmanthus tea wafted through the air which helped calm the atmosphere of the tranquil boutique.
“One for you and one for you.”
“Thanks y/n!”
“Thank you very much, y/n.”
“Hope you have a wonderful Windblume Festival!”
“You too!”
“Yeah!”
You three giggled.
“Cheers!”
=================================
“See you got super excited over the Windblume decorations of your store, y/n!”
“Yes, hello Venti.”
The bard would come to your boutique randomly, but always in the afternoon. He likes coming to your boutique to talk about many things and he even offered to play some music for some “boutique jazz” is what he liked to call.
“Say, I like those turquoise and gold banners you have this year!”
“You don’t say?”
“Mhm! Anyways, do you still have some of that, ahem, osmanthus wine of yours your family is also well known for?~” he raised his eyebrows with that, oh so, suggestive smirk. He might be cute, but he was very much a mischievous bard.
“Yes, yes, I do,” you smiled and rolled your eyes, taking out the auburn bottle with a yellow gold and white label on it.
“Ahahahaha! Wonderful! As thanks, I’d like to invite you to be one of my pupils!”
Oh, you know this. He always does it every Windblume Festival where he would get people and teach people on how to write a good poem. Looks like you made pre-payment for a class you haven’t attend yet.
“Oh, no, I really shouldn’t! Ahehe...”
“Oh where’s the fun, y/n? It’ll be way more fun than last year! Promise!”
You sighed. That’s what he said every year. But you couldn’t resist thos adorable puppy eyes he was giving you. Ah, he’s lucky he’s cute.
“Alright, fine.”
“That’s the spirit, y/n! Meet you at five in the evening! Have a wonderful Windblume Festival!”
=================================
“Albedo.”
“Y/n”
Albedo came here to buy your flowers and use them for experiements.
Sometimes he came with Sucrose but it looks like today he came alone.
“Any flowers you would like to buy?”
“Hmmm, yes. Those qinxings and wolfhooks over there.”
“Alright.”
As he finished paying, he asked you, “So, y/n. Have any plans for today’s Windblume Festival?”
“Oh, eh, yeah. Just recently. Venti asked me to participate in his poetry class,” you sighed.
He simply chuckled. “Well, that’s nice.”
He gave you an amber stone, on it, or more like inside it, was a cecilia.
“I was experimenting with minerals and in the process I made this. I found it quite beautiful, so I thought maybe I should give it to you for the Windblume Festival.”
You smiled softly. “Yeah, it really is beautiful. Thank you so much, Albedo!”
“You too!”
“Oh yeah, tell Sucrose I said hi!”
=================================
“K-Kaeya??”
“Why if it isn’t the Lady Silk Flower herself, y/n!”
“Please stop calling me that...”
Kaeya was that flirtatious knight, as well as Diluc’s brother. He would always be at Diluc’s winery to drink together with Venti and Rosaria. He’s not really there to buy flowers, more so of your osmanthus wine you sold, but he’s not really a regular customer, nor was he a rare visitor. Usually in the evening. But as charming as he is, why did he want to learn poetry when he’s a natural at being a poetic and constructive flirter?
“Well, Venti, what do you say?”
“Deal!”
You groaned internally. Great, now there’s homework.
“So, Silk Flower, what are you going to be writing about?” Kaeya asked as he gave you a playful smirk.
As much as this guy was pulling at your nerves, you couldn’t help but swoon internally of how fine he looks. That damn knight.
“Love,” you said as your facial features remain stoic.
“Ahahaha! Oh you!”
There was a comfortable silence between the both of you.
“Why not tomorrow at seven in the evening I invite you over to the Dawn Winery? Hm?~ Don’t worry, the drinks are on me.”
“I don’t really drink, but, if you want, I can bring a bottle of my family’s osmanthus wine?” you offered.
He simply let out a soft chuckle before he used his hand and gently grab your chin and tilted you up to face him.
“I just want you, though.~”
You blushed a crimson red before you pushed him away. “Oh shush! You want my wine or not?!”
“Of course , of course!” he laughed
Geez.
=================================
“Hm?”
“Surprise!”
Dawn Winery was filled with all the familiar faces. From Diluc to Sucrose and even Albedo was there, smiling.
“What’s going on?”
“It’s a thank you party of course!”
“Thank you party?”
“Yes,” now Diluc got your attention, “Before Windblume, I saw you working day in and out to import and export flowers, and of course your family wine. We just wanted to thank you and that we appreciate your hard work, y/n. You’re flowers and presence really freshen and lighten our day.”
“Mhm! Now come sit down and be merry with us, y/n!” Venti exclaimed with that drunk smile of his.
“You-you guys...you really didn’t have to do this.”
“Of course we had to, y/n,” Jean smiled warmly.
Barbara nodded. “Yeah! You deserve it!”
Albedo simply nodded.
“But-”
Diluc cut you off as he pat your head to which you instantly shut up and looked at him with a slightly red face.
“Yes. Yes you do, y/n. Now, let us enjoy this moment together. All of us.”
Now he really smiled.

Capcom's Official AA Fanclub Surveys - DGS Edition
Many Western fans may be familiar with the Turnabout 4koma comics that get posted on the official AA fanclub site that Capcom runs, thanks to some lovely fans on tumblr and elsewhere who have shared their translations. What fewer people seem to know about is the character surveys.
Back in the old days, they used to hold a survey on Capcom's official AA fansite every few months where they'd write about the seasonal activities of a handful of characters and ask fans to vote for the funniest/most pleasant/strangest/etc answer.
They stopped doing them in like... 2016? 2017? The original text is lost for good as far as I can tell. Even the wayback machine couldn't help because the content was password locked and you can't get past the password wall while remaining in the archived version.
Fortunately, I saved some of my translations of them so I thought I’d share them.
Cut for length...
"February has begun, and the DGS cast is nearing the end of their journey aboard the RFS Alacrei. Which of them acted the most strangely?"
Ryuunosuke ~ Exhausted from his intensive study session, he decided to try some katana swinging practice as a change of pace and to combat his recent lack of exercise. But because he wasn't used to handling the katana, he swung it too hard and it went flying out of his hands and got stuck in the wall right next to Sherlock, who had just entered the room. Sherlock asked him, "aren't you supposed to be studying right now, Mr. Naruhodo?" and handcuffed him to his desk.
Susato- worked on developing a curriculum for Ryuunosuke. 'If we keep going at this pace, he won't be able to learn it all in time... It'll be hard on Naruhodo-sama, but we'll have to work hard through a couple of nights together.' With that thought, she created a harsh study schedule, and almost seemed to be looking forward to it for some reason.
Sherlock- Driven by excitement over the thought of returning to England after a long absence, he went up on deck to stare at the ocean. Being February, it was very cold out there and he ended up being chilled all the way to the tips of his fingers. He returned to the ship cabins and amused himself by putting his frozen hands on Ryuunosuke, who was stuck in his room studying.
Van Zieks- Upon hearing from Vortex that there was a Japanese exchange student coming to England to study law, he smashed a Lord's Bottle. He apparently also didn't care for the fact that that Japanese student wouldn't be alone, because he proceeded to shatter his chalice, too.
Hosonaga- in order to provide a respite from studying, he provided some hot chocolate. They enjoyed a pleasant tea time, marveling over how sweet and delicious the drink was until Sherlock piped up with some unnecessary trivia: 'Actually folks, chocolate has long been used in Europe as an aphrodisiac!' Everyone promptly spat it out."
"The long winter is nearly over and spring is on it's way, putting the DGS cast members in a celebratory mood. Who found the best way of enjoying spring?"
Ryuunosuke: the Yuumei University faculty members were holding a flower viewing event, and he joined the assistance committee. He exhausted himself keeping the blankets clean so the intense shower of flower petals wouldn't pile up too high on them, delivering sake and snacks, and mediating whatever pointless fights arose. To top it all off, for some reason his compensation was only a single piece of leftover candy. Talk about a sad result!
Susato- her father and the others living in his dormitory were  holding the flower viewing event, so she got up early to prepare the bentos. But her father carelessly forgot to tell her that they wanted tea cakes, so she had to go around the house and neighborhood collecting sweets. For some reason, she ended up being able to gather caramels, biscuits, candy sticks, basically everything but tea cakes, for the tea ceremony.
Sherlock- he disguised himself as a beat officer and infiltrated Scotland Yard to have some fun. There was a real beat officer napping on his feet in the spring sunshine, and while observing him, Sherlock ended up falling asleep too. Detective Gregson gave them a good scolding when he found them, but then Sherlock revealed his true identity with a "hey, it's me, folks!" "What the blazes do you think you're doing?!" Gregson shouted, his rage growing even more, and Sherlock ended up making a run for it.
Van Zieks- went to the vineyard to oversee the production of the contents of his Lord's Bottle. As he viewed the still unopened grape blossom buds, he thought about how they would someday grow up to fill his Lord's Bottle, and ended up going around to look at each one. But the farm hands couldn't stop wondering whether the bottle itself or its owner's heel might come flying at them and were quite uneasy.
Asougi: exhausted himself running around since early morning helping with the professors' flower viewing event. When it was over, he took a break, sharing his reward candy stick [the name of the candy literally translates to 1,000 year candy] with Ryuunosuke, who had also been helping out.
"I wonder if the candy's effect is halved if you share it with someone."
"That still gives us 500 years."
They laughed and enjoyed looking at the flowers until dark. Then they parted ways with a handshake and a "see you later, best friend."
(This one was something about celebrating New Years. For some reason I didn't save the original question)
"Ryuunosuke ~ To celebrate New Years, he planned to pound mochi with everyone at the office. He somehow managed to get his hands on some mochi rice and he and Sherlock started pounding. Iris was having such fun watching them that she steamed a whole bunch more mochi rice so they could have some to share, and he and Sherlock spent the whole evening pounding mochi like crazy.
Asougi~ Because it's New Years, he went around to a bunch of shrines. When he drew his new year's fortune, he got a "horrible luck" result. "I'm not worried about it," he claimed, and headed up to the mountains early on New Years morning and work hard on a full training course of purification by water, meditation under a waterfall and wooden sword practice. It seems that he was working really hard to clear his mind of all earthly thoughts
Sherlock- Agreed to help Ryuunosuke pound mochi. As Ryuunosuke was flipping the mochi over, he carelessly dropped his badge into the bowl and Sherlock mixed it in without noticing, so they had to crack open both the hard and soft mochi to look for it. Fortunately they found it in the 4th one they checked, but apparently Sherlock got his hands and face covered in sticky white mochi in the process.
Susato- Wore a furisode and went with her father to do the first shrine visit of the year. The shrine was incredibly crowded and they had to wait in line for a long time, but she brought the Encyclopaedia of British Law and a copy of the Strand Magazine in her sleeves to secretly read as they waited so she actually ended up enjoying the wait.
Van Zieks- Ryuunosuke cheerfully gave him some mochi as a New Year’s (which at that time was celebrated at the same time as the Chinese New Year) gift, which he accepted confusedly, wondering “...Can the Japanese not even keep track of when the New Year is?” Because Ryuunosuke referred to it as a rice cake, he tried to eat it like a regular cake without softening it with heat first. It was so hard that he couldn’t imagine how it could possibly be food, and ended up misunderstanding the Japanese even more!
"Autumn has arrived, and the weather is starting to cool off, which means that everyone is becoming more active. Which character chose the most pleasant autumn activity to keep busy with?"
Iris was making bread but her hands are small and it’s difficult for her to knead the dough, so she asked for Ryuunosuke’s help. She wanted to make enough to hand out to Gina and all the other homeless children in the East End, so she made a massive amount and Ryuunosuke was stuck kneading this massive mountain of bread dough all day. Apparently he became such a expert at kneading that he could be a baker now.
Asougi was practicing with his sword, slicing autumn-colored ginko leaves as they fell from the tree. He cut so many leaves, though, that he ended up making a big mess on the ground, the number of fallen leaves now having increased, and it took him a long time to clean it all up.
Sherlock: Ryuunosuke told him that he was making anpan (bread filled with sweet red bean paste, the bane of my Asian-dwelling existance) and asked Sherlock to help by being in charge of getting the poppy seeds they’d need to sprinkle on top, so Sherlock went out and gathered a ton of poppy seeds. In fact, he got so many of them that no one knew what to do with them all cuz they had a huge amount of leftovers. Sherlock said, “Well, they’re only the size of poppy seeds! Surely you two can deal with them somehow! Ahahaha!” and Iris scolded him.
(I couldn’t capture it in English, but Sherlock’s line contained a pun, and a pretty stupid one at that, so that’s part of why he got scolded)
It’s grape harvesting season, so Van Zieks commutes to the winery regularly to direct the production of the contents for his “Lord’s Bottle.” He demands perfection in everything from the selection of the grapes to the way they’re squeezed, and the winery staff is terrified by the “grim reaper’s” gaze and heel swinging (i.e. the leg thing he does in court) so they grumble as they work.
"Hearing that there’s a holiday in the West called Halloween, the people involved with the court in Japan decided to try it out themselves. Naturally Halloween is a big deal in England as well. So, which member of the DGS cast had the best celebration?"
Team Ryuunosuke and Asougi- Asougi got Naruhodo up on his shoulders and they draped a white sheet over themselves to make a ghost costume. They went out like that, but Naruhodo had such exaggerated reactions to the fear of the people who saw them and to bumping his head on tree branches that they ended up losing their balance and falling on top of each other?!
Sherlock Holmes- went wearing a horse’s head mask. Iris used her skills to make it a fancy horse covered in stars, but the eye holes weren’t well made and he had to wander around blindly. Because of that he tripped hard over a pile of coal! He ended up getting so dirty that the stars on his costume were covered up!
Van Zieks- took inspiration from his nickname and dressed up as the grim reaper. He covered himself up with a skeleton mask and hood figuring no one would know it was him. Unfortunately he got angry when he saw Megundal (McGilded) pass by and started throwing bottles and glasses and ended up giving himself away.
"November has arrived, and autumn is nearing its end. However, the DGS cast is still keeping busy, even on their days off. Which character chose the most interesting way to spend their late autumn day?"
Ryuunosuke- Thinking that he’d better learn more about British culture if he was going to be a defense attorney in Britain, he went down to the East End with Gina for a little observation. However, because an Asian like him stood out so much, he got mobbed by the other children. On top of it all, his arm band got stolen from him and he had to send a replacement request to Yumei University on the other side of the ocean.
Asougi- He went for a meal at La Quantas. The customer at a nearby table got a persimmon for dessert and scarfed it down, saying “Mm! This is it! This sweetness makes it worthy of being called a treasure among foods!” Asougi tried to comment on this by saying, “The customer at that table sure is enjoying his pershim--gak!” but he may or may not have accidentally bitten his tongue in the process and been unable to finish his sentence.
Iris- She accepted Ryuunosuke’s request to learn more about British culture and prepared a bagpipe and kilt costume for him. “This outfit sure is breezy,” Ryuunosuke said shyly upon trying it on. With Ryuunosuke now dressed, he, Iris, and the others from their office headed over to Gregson’s place to get him to treat them to some fish and chips.
Sherlock- He accepted Ryuunosuke’s request to learn more about British culture and cooked up some European style curry for dinner. Thanks to the fact that his secret ingredient was a large amount of Chinese herbal medicine style spice, it caused some strange side effects and Ryuunosuke, who’d eaten it, ended up passing out and falling over.
“Another taxing trial for Ryuunosuke has finished and now it’s December. As the year draws to a close, which character acts the strangest?”
Ryuunosuke- he was recruited to help with snow removal around Yumei University and the courthouse and he enthusiastically began his task with the help of a large shovel. He got a little carried away, though, and ended up accidentally burying his umbrella, which he’d left propped up against the side of the building, in the snow he’d just finished shoveling.  He had no choice but to share Asougi’s umbrella on the way home.
Asougi- On the way home, he nods silently to Ryuunosuke’s question of whether he’d finished his travel preparations and changes the subject: “...Come to think of it, it seems that tomorrow is celebrated in the West as God’s birthday.” “I’ve heard that they eat chicken as part of the traditional celebration. Wanna try it?” Ryuunosuke asks invitingly. Asougi is strongly opposed to that particular menu item, however, and they end up going out for their usual beef stew that night instead.
Susato- in addition to her year-end travel preparations, she also was busy with straightening up the book room in her home. She managed to get the law books in order when she suddenly stumbled upon some old issues of Strand Magazine! She hurried through the rest of her cleaning, then began flipping through the magazines she’d found, trying to decide which to take with her on her trip. She accidentally lost herself in her reading and didn’t realize it until it was already the middle of the night.
Sherlock- he was in the middle of a long ship voyage when Christmas night came. His mind on his partner in a far-off country, he made a toast alone on deck, when suddenly the crew began shooting off fireworks with a cry of “Merry Christmas!” Sherlock had to dart back and forth across the deck to prevent the fireworks from hitting him and setting off the explosive chemicals he carries with him.

Grim Reaper 【Souichi x Reader】 (Fluff)
Souichi claims he's been cursed. Now everything he touches dies! However, that doesn't stop him from spending time with you. Can you hold back from touching the boy and dying? Let's find out~~~!! ahahaha
(I think this counts as affectionate!reader but idk lol)
Souichi carefully held onto the drink in his hand as he sat back down in between your legs.
Resting his body against your soft chest, you wrapped your arms around his waist. He was completely engulfed by your love. Although he was a bit embarrassed at first by how affectionate you could be, it had become a habit for him to want to be so close to you all the time.
【And now back to ‘DEATH’S ASSISTANT’】
Souichi took a sip of his drink as the show you two had been hooked on recently started back up.
It was a Japanese drama about a Grim Reaper who had been assigned a foreign assistant. Apparently, they fell for one another as soon as their eyes met. Every day they tell each other how much they love one another, but because of Death’s curse, he is unable to touch his love. The show depicts their everyday work lives. Showing how far they would go for one another to prove their love, but never being able to be truly affectionate. Souichi wasn’t really into these types of lovey-dovey dramas, but the supernatural antics that it included drew him in deeper and deeper.
【Assistant, we cant! You know if we touch, you’ll die!】
【I would risk dying a million times just to feel your lips pressed against mine even just once, Death~.】
“Guuuuu!!!!!!!!!!!”
Souichi laughed as you pressed your face into the crook of his neck. The scene was so cheesy and overdone, but you loved it. For a morbid girl, you really were a sucker for love stories.
“You’re gonna miss the show if you don’t look up.” Souichi chuckle and patted your head.
Resting your chin on his shoulder, you continued to watch the last few minutes left of the drama.
“Death really outdid it with his outfit today, huh?” Souichi commented.
In today’s episode, Death had been wearing a bright red suit with a black suit-shirt instead of his usual black suit and black tie.
“I think it really suits him.”
“You think everything suits him.”
“Of course. If you’re handsome, then anything and everything looks good on you.”
Souichi lifted his shoulder up towards his head, squishing your face against him.
“Owwww Owowowow!!”
“What’s so handsome about that old actor?”
Souichi finally released the pressure, allowing you to relax.
Pulling your head away from his body, you rubbed your cheeks.
“Hmm…Well, for one his eyes are absolutely beautiful. Thin, sharp, and the dark circles around them make him look so mysterious. And his dark, wavy hair looks so soft! I just want to run my hands through it as mess it up even more.”
Souichi couldn’t help but let out a small laugh as you described what you found attractive about the ‘dreamy man’ on the television. He honestly felt like you were just describing him. He knew you must have a type, but he didn’t think it would be this similar to him every time. You must have felt like you won the jackpot with him.
“But what I really like is the fact that he’s always wearing a suit.” Wrapping your arms back around his waist, you squeezed him a bit “You can tell his assistant also thinks the same thing because she's always staring at him. She just wants to touch him soooo much. But she knows she'll die if she does! Haa~~ I love it!”
Souichi hummed in amusement as he listened to you speak.
Seeing that he fit all the other conditions you looked for in a guy, Souichi thought of a perfect way he could use this little fantasy you love so much for his amusement.
________________________
When the next night came, Souichi quickly got to preparing himself. He had asked if he could go over to watch a movie tonight.
He usually didn’t pay much attention to what he wore whenever he hung out alone with you. But tonight, he decided to mix things up a bit.
Making sure he had everything he needed in his pockets, Souichi set off to your house.
Creepily excited laughter slipped from the boy’s lips as he walked down the street by himself. He couldn’t wait to see your reaction when you laid your eyes upon him.
Finally reaching your front door, he knocked.
“Good evening~” Souichi greeted as you opened the door.
Before you could greet the boy back, you froze. Your mouth gaped open and your eyes widened as you looked upon your boyfriend.
“S…SS..S-Suit..Suitsuitsuit…” You brought your hands up to your face, unsure where to place them. This was the first time you had ever seen him wearing such an outfit before.
Finally bringing your hands out towards Souichi, you tried to touch him.
“Ah!” Souichi quickly jumped back. “You can’t.”
A look of worry and confusion grew on your face as the boy rejected your touch.
“Remember when I called you this morning and said I might have messed up a curse?”
You shook your head yes.
“Well, it turns out that as a side effect, whatever I touch now dies almost immediately.”
Leaning against the doorframe, you looked at the boy with a smile of disbelief.
“You’re just copying ‘Death’s Assistant’ aren’t you.”
Souichi hated how well you could read him. But that didn’t mean he was going to admit that you were right. At least not right now.
“No! I swear.” Sliding one hand into his suit pocket, he leaned down onto the grass that covered your front yard. “Every time I touch something as delicate as a flower…” Pulling out his hand from his pocket, he placed it over a daisy that had been growing for some time. “Well... This happens.” Moving back up, Souichi revealed that the flower he touched had shriveled up and died.
“No way…” You whispered as he allowed the dead flower to trickle onto the palm on your hands.
“Yeah…It’s a bummer.” Placing his foot over the real flower still planted in the ground, he tried to hide the evidence. “But I’m sure this curse will wear off by next week. 2 weeks at most.”
You quickly moved to the side as Souichi let himself into your home.
“What are you doing? Wouldn’t it be dangerous for us to be together right now?”
“I’m sure we’ll be fine. As long as we don’t touch that is.” Giving you a smile, Souichi kicked off his shoes and made his way down to your bedroom.
As the raven-haired boy walked down the hall, he moved his hands close to the wall, just barely coming into contact with the wallpaper. He honestly thought it would be really cool if he could make the wallpaper roll up and crumble into pieces just from touching it. Just like in the drama. Perhaps there really was a curse out there that would give him that ability.
Finally reaching your room, he took ahold of the door handle and gestured for you to go in first. Being in a suit really did make him feel like more of a gentleman. It was kind of fun.
Sitting on your bed, Souichi watched as you set up the DVD player.
He tried to hold back his foolish laughter as he thought about how miserable you were going to be all night from not being able to touch him.
You. The girl who could barely go 5 minutes without at least leaning against his shoulder, was now being forced to keep her hands to herself in order to avoid never waking up again.
This was gonna be hilarious.
“So, lemme ask you.” You pulled the boy out of his own little world as you sat on the bed with him. “Why the suit?”
“The suit? Oh. Umm…” Souichi’s mind froze for a second. He was going to say an excuse that all his other clothes suddenly turn to dust when he touched them, but now that sounded extremely stupid and unbelievable. Especially since he was able to touch your bedsheets with no problem. “…To match the whole ‘death’ theme...”
“Oh~ That makes sense. Always gotta be prepared for a funeral when everything you touch dies, right?”
“Exactly!”
Souichi let out a small sigh of relief as you commented an equally believable reason for the suit. He was glad you were almost always on the same level as him.
Finally dropping the subject, you pressed the button on the remote for the movie to play.
Souichi tapped his finger against the bed in annoyance as you kept a good amount of distance from him. It didn’t seem like you would try to touch him any time soon.
Looks like he needed to take things up a notch if he wanted to have some real fun.
Leaning forward, he swiftly took off his black jacket. You quickly ducked as his hand almost came in contact with your head.
Leaning his arm on your pillow, he relaxed his body. A single nail stayed poking out from between his lips, making it look like he was smoking.
Souichi couldn't help but smile as he saw you take quick glances at him. Your eyes kept moving from his pants to his white suit shirt, and finally to his face. He could see a blush spread across your cheeks as you quickly turned away from him, avoiding his gaze. You looked completely head over heels for him.
Sliding to the side, you leaned ever so close to the boy.
“Does the ‘being killed on the spot’ rule apply even over clothes~?” A blush spread across his pale face as you whispered in his ear, making sure not to come into direct contact with his shoulder. He could see your hand hovering over his suit pants, craving to touch the expensive-looking material.
Did you really not believe him or were you just begging to die?
Moving a bit away from you, he replied. “Probably not a good idea. Haven’t tested that out yet…” He let out a little laugh as he mentioned how awkward it would be for him to have to wake up your family and tell them that he killed you by accident.
Souichi looked from the corner of his eyes as you let out a small sigh and moved back into your own little space. This sudden rule of no touching looked like it was taking a toll on you.
Honestly, he was expecting you to be a bit more excited by this situation. After all, this was one of your favorite fantasies. To love one another, but never be able to touch unless you were willing to die on the spot. You should be spewing cheesy lines like in the drama, not sulking.
Moving the nails against his teeth, he tried to think of a way to fix things. After all, this wouldn’t be fun if you got too sad and decided to stop acting like your usual self halfway through the night.
Moving his arm out towards you, he pulled on the edge of his suit jacket.
“I think it’d be fine if you held onto this though…” He turned his face to the side, trying to hide his blush as you smiled once again.
Throughout the movie, Souichi kept his arm up in the air as you happily held onto his jacket. His body felt oddly unsatisfied from not being properly touched by you. But, this was his own fault for deciding to go through with such a cold prank.
You both stayed surprisingly calm and silent as the movie played on.
Souichi kept the nails in his mouth pressed tightly against his teeth as he kept his eyes on the screen. The movie you chose wasn’t half bad at all. The effects, the props, the acting. All very realistic. To be expected from new foreign movies.
However, this feeling of calmness didn’t last long as an unnecessarily long make-out scene between the main characters had started up again. Another specialty of foreign horror movies. The acting for these scenes just had to be extremely believable as well…
Souichi tensed up a bit as he felt you let go of his jacket, finally allowing him to rest his hand back down near his body.
It wasn’t that he disliked these types of scenes. But something about watching them alone with you always made him feel a bit restless.
Souichi moved his legs closer to his body, trying to get in a more comfortable position. He really regretted starting this whole ‘touch me and you’ll die’ prank now.
Pulling on the black-tie wrapped around his neck, he tried to calm himself down.
“People get really horny right before they die, huh?…”
Souichi noticed you jolt a bit at the sound of his voice. All he got in response from you was a little ‘yeah’ and an awkward laugh.
As the teens on the screen started to undress, Souichi noticed you also start to fidget around in your spot. You looked like you wanted to sit closer to him, but you knew you couldn’t.
Shakily bringing your hand over his leg again, you whispered. “Are you sure I’ll die if I touch you over your clothes?...”
This time he didn’t say anything. Instead, he just moved his leg closer to you, giving you an okay to try and touch him.
He watched as you cautiously placed the tips of your fingers on his knee. You let out a sigh of relief as you realized you were going to die from touching him over his clothes.
Careful not to accidentally touch any part of his body not covered by his clothes, you turned towards his.
Pinching the fabric of his suit jacket, you pulled his hand up. Souichi’s heartbeat sped up as you moved his bare hand to touch your clothed breast.
“Looks like it works both ways. As long as your skin doesn’t come into direct contact with mine, I’ll be just fine.”
Souichi’s eyes followed your hands as they moved back towards his pants once more.
You were really pushing the envelope.
But, if you were gonna play like that, then he saw no harm in playing along as well.
Sliding his hand down from your chest to your waist, he pulled you to come closer to him.
“That means we can’t do anything more than this though…” Souichi whisper as he inched his face closer to yours. “We should stop now before we do something that can’t be undone.” He teased you with lies, practically ordering you to go further.
“You don’t wanna die from one of my curses, do you?”
“It’d be a blessing to die from one of your curses…”
Something within Souichi switched on as he heard you whisper your confession to him. That felt like the most romantic thing you'd ever said to him.
Without saying another word, Souichi pressed his lips against yours. To think he was the one who ended up not being able to hold back from you this time.
Suddenly, pressing your hands against his shoulder, you pushed yourself away from the kiss.
“Agk! My heart!” Holding your hand against your chest, you threw yourself back to lay on the bed. “I…I!!! Gah…”
Souichi couldn’t help but laugh as you pretended to die in an over-exaggerated manner.
You opened one of your eyes, looked at the boy, and then closed it again. Souichi could see you trying your best to hold back a smile as you laid perfectly still.
“You knew I wasn’t cursed the entire time, didn’t you?”
“...Was it that obvious?” You laughed a bit as you finally sat back up.
“When did you figure out I was lying?”
“Hmm~”
You just hummed and swayed your head side to side. Not telling him when you knew for a fact he was not actually cursed.
“If I can be honest, you should have said something more believable for the suit. Then maybe I would have believed you completely." Leaning up against the boy you thought for a second. "Like umm... All your other clothes disintegrated the second you touched them. But because you've worn this suit to a funeral before, it was the only thing that stayed intact."
"Ahh!! I swear I was gonna say that!!"
You let out a hum and looked at the boy once again with a smile of disbelief.
"I swear!"
Getting up from the bed, he put on his suit jacket again.
"Let's restart." He sat back down on the edge of your bed. "Ask me why I'm wearing a suit."
"Okay." You also moved to sit on the edge, next to him. "Hey, Souichi. Why are you--" Unconsciously, your hand brushed up against his. "AGK!" You threw your body back and pretended to die again.
"No!! Y/N!!" He picked you up by your shoulders and forced you to sit back up. "Again."
As his hands moved away from your shoulders, he accidentally touched your neck. Making you jump back again.
"Agggkk!!"
"Stop dying!!" He yelled as you held your hand up to your neck and pretended to choke and die.
Souichi let out a loud groan as you continued to laugh at his frustrated expression.
This prank wasn't as funny as he thought it would be.

Moments of Despair #2 [Genshin Impact/Albedo x Reader]
Tumblr media
Synopsis: "The alchemist who relished in his gifts only to fall from grace."
(A series of works where the boys deal with the passing of their beloved).
Diluc’s despair
Warnings: angst, tragedy, major character death and psychological horror (correct me if otherwise)
(A/n): I decided to take a slightly different approach this time. Regardless, it’s still killing my heart TwT.
---------------------------------------------------
Out of the many wonders of Teyvat, one thing Albedo loved most was how you were so different from him.
Difference ties to the unknown, one that must be discovered. He was drawn to you the first time he had laid his eyes upon your form standing at the heights of Mondstadt's cathedral. The Sisters scolded you from below, but all you did was reply with a wink amidst their chaos before soaring into the skies and letting the wind carry your glider. Reckless they said. For him, your recklessness was intriguing.
As the sun's light blinded his vision, everything he saw seemed like a glass barrier. For the ground was where he thrived and chalk was his core, it became the basis of Albedo's very existence. Even the geo Archon granted him a Vision of the same element to affirm his identity. The earth will forever be attached to his feet as he will keep on his stride until every last truth of Teyvat have all been realized. You, on the other hand, hailed from a place where he couldn't quite reach. What lies beyond this glass ceiling? Albedo found himself gradually holding onto a string of curiosities, a string he could touch but was not able to feel.
'Interesting,' he thought quietly, while the breeze slip between the fingers of his outstretched hand.
He was a character of logic, possessing sharp eyes that could pierce through the depths of the most complex formulas and a mind to predict their outcomes-  as long as alchemy was still related. All impossibilities thrown in his way only paved a path for him to become the well known genius he was now. Whether it was alchemy or  investigations with the Knights of Favonius, Albedo never failed to deliver the answers. But despite it all, he always found himself endlessly contemplating over things that were considered intangible. He wonders why you smile when there was nothing to laugh about. How could you tell between the complexities of the human heart? Albedo can't seem to put a finger on it.
'Why? What drives you? What are you thinking?'
The Chief Alchemist couldn't resist being fascinated by your unpredictability. It reels him in similar to a fish being baited out of the waters. However, unlike those creatures, Albedo only tightened his grip on the strings as if they were a lifeline, determined to find out what they truly felt like to the touch.
"I can't really say it's much of an answer," you hummed, clasping both hands behind your back before declaring with a grin, "To put it simply, you just gotta follow your heart."
'Follow your heart...' What does it mean to follow your heart?
"I'm afraid I still don't understand," he replied in a thoughtful manner. The statement never really resonated with him and it certainly weren't the words his Master taught when he was in the early stages of being created, "But it does suit you very much."
"Really? But still bring your head with you," a playful laugh escapes and you add while pointing a finger, "At least, it's what everyone tells me these days."
"Hm," Albedo then affirms with a nod, "I can definitely see why they would tell you that."
"Hey! What's that supposed to mean?"
The days go by and his repetitious march towards the truth remains the same. However, there was never a dull moment when you were at his side. Perhaps that was the reason why Albedo became so attracted to your aura. The way you'd follow around his experiments, eyes so full of enthusiasm at every step of the activity. Sometimes the events can get a little too out of hand in which he needs to step in and save you from getting stuck in slime condensates...constantly. Albedo grew fond of your childlike excitement even when you weren't entirely sure what was going on. He normally distanced himself from socializing as it never sparked his interest. Frankly, he was too much of a genius for mundane conversations. Your presence was rather refreshing in this case. You were an oddball, just like him, and for once the alchemist felt like he didn't need to place that glass barrier between the two worlds.
"You seem to be in a very good mood today Mister Albedo."
He was a man of subtle expressions yet anyone could notice the small gleam in his eyes whenever he saw you walking in the hallway. Sucrose often remarked with a giggle after she noticed her teacher holding his documents upside down. But who could blame him? Joy, fun, laughter. He was able to experience those emotions all because of you; his beloved. You were the colour to his canvas and the meaning to his flower. You were a force of nature. Like a warm breeze gracing upon the terrestrial lands, you move him.
Thump- thump- thump-
Strings around his world began to weave one whole picture while they also tugged inside his chest. God had finally blown the breath of life into mankind's body, it was only a matter of time before Albedo came to follow his heart too.
--------
"Alright, just one more detail aaaaand done!"
You gave a small tap using the tip of your pencil and leaned back to examine your artwork.
Masterpiece!
On days when Katheryne had no commissions assigned to the guild, Albedo would accompany you to the Whispering Woods and conduct his sketches there instead. He was aware of the discomfort Dragonspine brought as the temperature wasn't ideal for anyone except for him. You eventually learned that your lover was not only intelligently different from the rest but physically too. Albedo, aside from the Cavalry Captain, was mysterious in his own way. He was hard to read yet never came off as intimidating, no one knew of his origins nor they knew how he came to Mondstadt. You wondered why someone like him would have wanted to get involved with your shenanigans. Rosaria often gave warnings regarding the alchemist's 'hidden intentions' in which you'd roll your eyes in response. The Albedo you knew was far from that. He was a big brother to Klee, a man passionate about his work, he was the one golden star among the many silvers in your sky. He was your lover.
My Albedo.
Brushing a hand upon the drawing you made of him, you glided down the lines of his cheek before resting your finger on the mark by his neck. You gazed at it with fondness. Truly a masterpiece indeed.
"You do realize I'm still here?"
The paper nearly flies out of your grasp and you snatched it back to your chest, "HUH A-ALBEDO, WHEN DID YOU APPEAR???"
"I was with you the whole time," he states. The corner of his lip tug upward ever so slightly, "You said you wanted to sketch me."
"A-Ahahaha, so I did," you reply while scratching your head bashfully. 'I thought I was looking at a sculpture!!'  You rushed to cover your face with the sheet. It wasn't that you forgot he was there, rather, you forgot he was still a living and breathing specimen who just witnessed your little serenade. As Lisa had once said, Albedo was easy on the eyes. His graceful features made him seem almost like an oil painting that could only be found in  halls of the most prestigious households. You made sure to capture everything, every detail, every curve just like he had done with your portraits. Only now you noticed the sun already began its descent below the lakeside, dusting the landscape with hints of bright orange as it marked the day's end. If only time could slow down. But duty calls upon your next journey and there was no telling when you'd return. At the very least, a simple portrait would suffice to fill in the temporary gap of his absence.
"Can I see it?"
You glanced his direction while keeping the drawing close to your nose, "Are you sure about that? It might not be up to your expectations."
"I'm sure," Albedo affirms with a straight countenance, "I can already tell you've put a great amount of effort, otherwise you wouldn't have taken this long."
"Yeeaahh I kinda lost track of time. I guess it's only fair that you get to see the finished product," you say and shoved the drawing in front of him, "Tada! I present to you, my masterpiece!"
Albedo takes it out of your grasp and you watched the way his eyes expanded upon sight.
"Well? Whaddya think?"
Words could not describe the mixture of emotions that erupted within him. Was it distinguishable or abstract? Albedo spent his time pondering between the two answers as he examined the drawing closely. Despite the lines being slightly jagged and the unevenness in the placement of his eyes, he managed to make the shape of the entire image you were trying to convey. Perhaps it was all thanks to his well trained artistic vision which gave him the ability to do so. Or maybe he was simply biased. But there wasn't a shred of doubt that this was indeed your craftsmanship.
"You even added flowers in the background," he pointed out with amusement.
"It's the thing you make when using your elemental burst, I couldn't fit your hand in the picture so I decided to put it somewhere empty," you informed, "Out of everything, that one took me the longest."
"And the rabbits?"
"They resemble Klee's bombs!"
He lets out a chuckle, "I see."
Albedo kept his attention downward until he was mindlessly staring at the paper in hand. This was a memory made to be carried as you moved on to your next journey and it saddens him that he could not accompany you. If only time slowed down. Albedo wanted to hold onto the memory forever, because he knew once he gave it back, he wouldn't be able to see you for an uncertain amount of time.
"Do you really have to go?"
His voice was barely above a whisper. Guilt crept into your heart and you gingerly layed your fingers on his gloved ones, bringing down the paper that blocked his face. A pair of teal orbs held a reflection of your image as the sun's rays casted from the side. You returned it with a reassuring grin, hoping to soothe his worries somehow, "I just need to pay a visit to my father since he's been very sick lately. I'll be fine, so don't worry too much okay?"
Albedo turns over his palm and gave your hand a squeeze, "How long will it take?"
"I'm not sure but it will be a while. Snezhnaya is pretty far so..." you trailed off, "But my time in Mondstadt, with Klee and with you, I will never forget! I won't even if I tried."
When you were met with no answer, a breeze came in to fill the melancholic silence. He too will not forget and he would ensure that it was the same for you. Slowly, Albedo brought your hand up, past the center of his heart all the way to cupping his cheek. He allowed himself to indulge in your warmth, tangling the strands of his hair with your fingers while closing his eyes. Sweet flowers. You always carried the smell of sweet flowers.
"Albedo?" You gawked, "What's the matter?"
"...There are certain aspects where drawings can't imitate,"  he says, grip tightening ever so slightly, "How I feel against your skin, the shape of my jaw, your warmth radiating with my own. These are the things I want you to remember."
Breath leaves your slightly parted mouth. It was unfair how straightforward Albedo could be when showing his affection. Doing as he pleases without anyone's approval to the point it would even catch you off guard since he often absorbed himself in the arts of alchemy. But during times when Albedo did choose to express his feelings, you knew they came from a place of pure genuinity. The thought made it hard for you to tear away from him, "Did you ever find out what the strings felt like then?"
Albedo returns his gaze, long golden lashes hovering them as he smiles softly, "...I have."
As he began to reveal his stories, the dusk sky continued to flare across the landscape with colours of passion. Red, it was the thread that had led him to you, the same string that weaved him together as a whole. Albedo lays a kiss atop of your pinky, there was a reason why Mondstadtians called him the Chalk Prince. You didn't know the intention behind his sudden affection but he knew. It was a promise, one to ensure that the thread would also have you return safely back into his arms.
Oh how he hated the colour red.
"Al...bedo..."
With speed he never knew he had, Albedo scoops you into his embrace and held you close. How did everything happen so fast? He curses his mind as it proceeds to scan your injuries, drawing a conclusion where he wished to be wrong for once:
You were beyond help.
"Ah..haha..." you managed to laugh through bitter tears, "You don't have to say it. I know."
His breath hitches, trying to make sense of the feeling that was slowly tearing him apart from the inside. It's not real. Of course it wasn't, it couldn't be. What other possible answer was there to explain the numbness stinging his fingers? The reason for his shaking? Everything felt so cold. Your body hardly registered to his to touch, you were losing so much blood. You were losing. He was going to lose you.
"No," Albedo shakes his head, "We still have time. I'll go find help."
Please, hold on.
He forced himself to think. The ruin hunter ran off shortly after it had ambushed you, by now the Knights would eventually noticed and apprehended it on sight. They couldn't be too far. All he needed was to carry you back to safety and everyone can go home. Albedo darted his eyes all over the place, breaths becoming shallower with each passing second. Where? Where to go? Which route was best to not overexert your wounds? Think. Think. Think. Why couldn't he think?
"A..." You watched him in your helpless state. Every part of you throbbed with pain but it pains you even more to see the renowned genius who stood atop the pedestal of elegance and grace so utterly, undoubtedly lost. This was not the goodbye you wanted, though death already had you tight in their grasps. Not yet. Using the last particle of your strength, you tried to stay alive as long as possible. Just a little bit more time.
Albedo freezes when a trembling hand extends itself to cup around his cheek. Every single thought he had in mind vanished and was replaced by a loud ring resonating in his ears. Dreadfully, mechanically, he turns his attention to where you lay.
"Don't cry," you whisper, "I love you, don't cry- okay?"
Albedo grimaces, shutting his eyes closed as he allows the pent up sadness to flow out of him completely, "I can't," he said in a shaky voice, "Please. Stay."
"I'm sorry," Your vision blurs and he hugs you even more. Drawing your final breath, you relay your most cherished words through a broken smile, "But no matter w-where I go...I won't for..ge.."
The moment your hand fell, Albedo finally understood the difference between death and loss.
It was...suffocating. Having the air trapped in his throat, begging to release yet it hurts to speak. The never ending stabs that pulsed within his veins rushed forth like the scraping  blizzard of Dragonspine until his whole body lost all its senses. The world was shattering. He could no longer feel your weight. He could no longer feel.
(Y/n).
Albedo glances at his blood stained fingers where the thread had been severed, wide eyes drowning in sorrow. What a horrible feeling. Was this a warning sent by the gods? For stepping into the boundaries of knowing too much? Ah the curse of knowledge man must bear when eating the temptatious fruit. It was the result of choosing to love you. With life, death is inevitable and with love, it will eventually bring pain. Everything had a price to pay and as an alchemist, Albedo knew that better than anyone.
"...Meaningless..."
But he refused to accept it.
Cradling your corpse, he leans in and places a kiss on your forehead, lips quivering as they lingered for a second too long before gathering the strength to stand back on his feet. Nothing will stop the alchemist from reuniting with you. If the laws wished to take you away from him then he will use everything in his power to fight against those laws.
"This is not goodbye..." Albedo said to the sleeping girl, "And it will never be."
When the sun sinks below the plains and the stars lose their light, the sky had been replaced with a palette of darkness. It was time to go home.
------
"Have you all heard about the rumours?"
A group of knights gather in the corner as they whisper about. Sucrose stops on her tracks and hides behind a wall, clutching the book close to her chest in an attempt to stay hidden.
"Another criminal disappeared from the dungeons? Crazy..."
"More like creepy. I was told that place might be haunted by some dead prisoner's ghost. Even the Church is hopping onto this case."
"Well I hope it doesn't get any worse. So many of us started going on night patrols..."
Their voices faded out of range as the anemo user backtracks her steps carefully. Several months passed since the news of mysterious kidnappings have been announced to the public. Rumours of their whereabouts swirled around the city and much to her discomfort, Sucrose happened to catch every single one of them. There couldn't possibly be evil spirits lurking in the Favonious Headquarters right? She silently shrieks at the thought, shaking her head furiously to stop her mind from going too deep. No, I have to find him. Without wasting another minute, the anemo user sprinted towards the stairs all the way up to the second floor before stopping directly in front of her teacher's office. Despite the adrenaline that occured at the same time, she made sure to knock.
No answer.
"Strange, he told me he would be here today..." Sucrose muttered to herself. But suddenly she heard the sound of objects shifting from the otherside, signaling that there was indeed someone occupying the room. Without realizing, she held her breath out of anticipation.
"Come in."
The door creaks as she opens them, giving her enough space to slip between the gap, "Mister Albedo?"
"You're early today," The Chief Alchemist noted from his desk, "Is there something the matter?"
"Y-You mean you don't know? There was just another case about a person disappearing from the dungeons," Her tone became more frantic as she rambled to herself, "The kidnapper never leaves a trace and no one knows how they were able to get out. Even when we ask the guards what happened, they can't seem to remember as if...as if someone casted a spell on them!"
"A spell?" He inquires, "I suppose that could be a possibility."
"I think so too. I-It's the only explanation that makes sense! I mean...ghosts don't exist after all," Sucrose nervously looks down at her shoes while giving her book a squeeze, "But why? Who could be capable of such advanced techniques? No matter how hard I try, I can't seem to understand their intentions."
"...Yes. It is a very strange occurrence indeed."
Noticing her teacher's withdrawn attitude, Sucrose couldn't help but feel flustered at her own behaviour, "Ah my apologies Mister Albedo, I didn't mean to go off track. Have there been any progress on the investigations so far?"
Albedo briefly glanced at the various documents splayed across his table. His reputation as an incredibly intelligent individual had reached far and wide through Mondstadt. This led to the authorities requesting his assistance regarding the recent matters, despite him specializing in the alchemical field, he was also the Captain of their Investigation Team. Although, Albedo detested partaking in things he deemed irrelevant to his research;
"I'm afraid I would need more evidence to draw a conclusion."
"Eh? You still need more?"
He could not deny that the given authoritative position had provided much benefits to his own accord.
"My expertise lies in the subject of alchemy," Albedo reasoned and proceeds to intertwine his fingers in front of his mouth, "Humans on the other hand, are very unpredictable in nature. Even the essence of their existence is hard to obtain."
"Essence of their existence?" Sucrose repeated softly. She wanted to ask what he meant but the blank expression was evident  enough to signal his impatience. At least, that was what she thought, "Nevermind! I have something that might help," taking out a slip from her textbook, she handed it to him, "It's the report Captain Kaeya gave me. He said that the culprit might be a traitor coming from the Knights of Favonius."
He narrows his eyes.
"I-I think he might be right! Just think about it, we haven't found anything at all for the past few months but when we do, I sometimes feel like we're just running in circles...oh what if it's becau-"
"Sucrose."
"Y-Yes?!"
Albedo calmly looks at the flustered girl, not realizing how sharp his tone was, "You're overthinking again. Perhaps it's best that you take this day off."
"But I came here to help," she insisted, "I know it hurts to lose someone you love! Don't you understand that we're all worried about you? And Klee, she..."
"..."
"Please Mister Albedo, if there's anything I could do-"
"No need," he cuts her off once again, "Your stress levels are too high. We can't go any further if you continue to act like this."
"Oh," her ruby eyes casted to the side, "I understand..."
"Good. Now, if you would excuse me," Albedo bid her farewell and watched as the door clicked behind her, observing every detail until he was sure that the absolute silence had returned. He picks up Kaeya's document. Such remarkable handwriting. But of course, appearances are only meant to be displayed on the surface for the Captain was a sly man, wearing a mask to shield what lies underneath. Just like his letter, they were full of innuendos and condensed meanings, orchestrated together until the truth spoke loudly to Albedo himself.
"So, that's what he thinks."
Perhaps the alchemist should have been a little more discreet.
--------
There was a certain place in Dragonspine that no one dared to enter. But those who have, they never return.
"Hm, no response. Now as for the next step..."
And he was the reason why.
Taking the sword out of the transmutation circle, Albedo turned to the snowy hill nearby and activated his alchemy. A small portion of it dissipates, revealing a trench that went so deep underground that even warmth couldn't outplay the sheer cold. It was the perfect hiding place for the evidence to lay out of sight and an environment where only he could handle. The alchemist tossed the leftover along with the others before exiting quietly, summoning back the ice to bury his victims once again. Another day, another experiment, another stain goes to his title. The path he walked upon was one littered with corpses and the sins he committed. But despite the bones crunching beneath his feet and the weight of the dead hanging on his shoulders, the alchemist was numb to it all. Like an entity floating in space with nothing to hold, he became unable to feel.
"I'm back," When reaching the center of Starglow Cavern, Albedo puts his hand on the icicle and caressed it's hard cold surface, "Did you sleep well?"
The girl did not respond. Her eyes were closed and her skin was as young as ever. She was frozen in time.
"You must have."
Albedo felt the sword beginning to shake in his grasp as it resonated with his energy. Dust particles emitted from the hilt and slowly made their climb to the side of his arm. Still, Albedo's attention did not waver, "To this day, I've been thinking about what you told me the first time we met."
"..."
"Follow your heart. I couldn't understand it at first but after being around your presence, I believe I can finally recognize what that term means."
He closes his eyes as he envisioned your lively form running across the landscape. Albedo, Albedo! The sound of his name was mixed with your laughter while Klee came into the scene and caught the dandelions with you. A content smile formed on his countenance as he watched from afar, even if it was just a memory, "It's everything. The breakfast we ate together, to the nights spent camping outside, and the silly moments we shared, they bring all these colours that I never knew existed."
"..."
Albedo curls his fingers against the ice as he continues to lament, "Perhaps that's why I began noticing the strings around me. The closer I was to answer, the more I felt it was necessary to discover what they are. All this time, you were the answer I was searching for," Moist begins to build up in his eyes but they freeze up once reaching the corners. How cruel. Despite what he went through, he wasn't even granted the liberty to cry, "Because with you, I'm able to feel them."
He wonders what you would think if you saw him right now. Albedo peers at his reflection casted on the crystalline surface, the frame of his face had been decorated with streaks of purple and red, spreading out like tree branches as they both fought for dominance. The teal coloured orbs you once adored were beginning to transform to a colour that reminded him of his darkest days. This was Albedo's true nature- a monster, a being that wasn't human, the essence in which you never had the chance to see.
"I know I may not be the same as I was before," he added, "But if that is what it takes to follow your heart, will you let me feel the strings again?"
Would you still love me the same?
"..."
"If so, then please understand my actions," Albedo takes a step back as he held out the sword in front of him. At last, the preparations have finally been completed. He plunges the blade to the ground with full force and the surrounding area begins to shake under the power accumulated through many, intentional sacrifices. To revive the dead was a forbidden art as it came with heavy consequences. If it weren't for Albedo's talent and quick wit, the process would have consumed him long before executing the last stage. He winces, the pain was excruciating. It was hard for him to ignore the sound of his skin cracking below his ears and all the way to his nose as they fall off in the shape of small rock-like chunks. Everything hurt so much that even death sounded like a sweet dream but Albedo couldn't afford to give up. He had already come this far, his hands completely washed with sin and his reputation already broken beyond repair, Albedo had nowhere else to go. This was his last destination.
"Soon-" he pants between choked breaths. Soon your eyes will open. He could drown in your embrace, one that was warm and not cold. Soon he will be able revive those cherished memories from a frozen past. It was all he could think of right now. Your existence was the reason why a part of him felt whole and your death made him realize how painful it was to tear away those pieces. Albedo refused to let go of those pieces, they had already become a part of him. And if this path ended up tearing him even more, then so be it.
"I should have stopped you the moment you were born."
The intruder snapped him awake and he swung around to where they stood. But before Albedo could make out who it was, they lunged past him with incredible speed, kicking the sword off the ground while severing his two arms once and for all. They flew to the side, blood dyed purple trickling from the edges of his joint as he struggled to stay upright.
"Dains...leif..."
Dainsleif watched the alchemist fall onto his back as the light around him slowly faded away. He turned his gaze to where the objective was and noticed a girl encased within the ice. The man sighs out of relief when she shows no signs of life, he came just in time, "So this is how it ends."
Albedo weakly stared at the blonde man. He attempted to say something but the blood caught in his mouth prevented him from that.
"Save your breath, you won't be having any," Dainsleif remarks in a cold manner and glared at his bloodied form, "The renowned Chief Alchemist of Mondstadt and an important member of Ordo Favonious. Hmph, what an interesting turn of events. Out of everyone, I never thought you were the type to act so foolish."
Foolish...what a foreign name to be called as. He never heard anyone tell him he was foolish.
"Truly a pity," With a flick of a wrist, Dainsleif brought his sword to Albedo's neck. It was unbelievable how he had the endurance to go through all that pain while still breathing at this point but what is there to be expected from a monster? "Remember that all actions have consequences."
The alchemist watched as his life flashed before him, the weight of his sins had finally caught up. He had always seen the world as a platform for his objectives and results were merely a natural cause after attempting many experiments. But death as a consequences was an unbearble realization upon his final moments. He abandoned his title, his pupil and his dearest sister. In the end, he was still unable to fulfill his duty.
"I just..." Albedo mumbled, his words slurring together, "wanted..."
As the ashes turn to ashes and dust becomes dust, chalk returns to the earth, forever yearning a place that can never be reached.
