Fun fact : we do that in France too!

We built stuff like armor, weapon and big structures (usually around a theme) usually for a con as part of the animation and then at the end of the con we fight and destroy everything! :D

The last one with a piece of armor stil on wins. After the fight is over anybody can go and pick what they like in the remains and the rest is recycled.

I still have the helmet (although I need to fix it a little ) the rest is probably recycled by now.

Arthur & co getting transported to the time before magic was outlawed and preparing for a dark and scary world of bloodshed and horror only to find a world that shines and gleams with happy, smiling faces and magic flying free. Sorcerers are a natural part of daily life and are no different than the average citizen. Arthur is a bit stumped and Merlin is overjoyed, practically bursting with joy as he takes in the world around him. He keeps running off to perform magic openly but Arthur worries about him getting hurt bc he doesn’t trust this world so Merlin has to keep sneaking away but Arthur just keeps chasing after him and Merlin keeps running away and Arthur…eventually buys a child safety harness (cough a leash cough) to keep Merlin with him. Lancelot helps him break out. Arthur puts them both on a leash- I mean, child safety harness. Gwaine busts them out bc hes a slut for casual treason and pissing off Arthur

idk how many people know this but the surname prefix "fitz" means "son of" but it was commonly used by nobility as a surname for their illegitimate children. fitzjames talks about how he was the product of an affair between his father and a portuguese woman, and how they made up his name for the baptism. we don't know his father's name, but considering his name is james fitzjames, it's like his father completely washed his hands of him. instead of putting his own name after fitz (e.g. fitzroy or fitzgerald), he put james' own name after it. james, son of himself, belonging to no one, bastard child. james really was all alone in the world until he met crozier.

I shouldn't be surprised by the fireside chat being the state it was, seeing as I don't follow any CR themed blogs myself or really go into the tags because I find it frustrating but still, the bleed over of fanon is depressing and a lot of you are showing your asses in terms of how you don't actually gaf about the characters or the story the players have chosen to tell.

I love my au's, I love my headcanons, I love my not quite canon ships, but they're for me and the people who chose to enjoy them if they want to. and what makes creating those things more fulfilling is trying to really be true to the character it's about, otherwise just go play with OCs

this will be my last salty post on the matter (guess we'll see) but man, the timing? all of this crazy shit is going on, it is well established that the audience is frustrated with how little downtime we've had with these characters and getting to see those long rest bonds we got to enjoy with previous campaigns, 4SD is over, and that's what you wanna ask about? it's selfish, honestly.
