I made these today, for no particular reason honestly

I was just scrolling through photos again, looking at Transformers refs, and I was looking at TF One’s Onyx Prime’s hands, and how they look like how I probably should have drawn that one OC I made, Stinger’s hands

So then I decided to try drawing a One style Stinger, just for the hell of it

I did kind of enjoy it, I’ll be honest. She had a good number of changes from her original to fit with the designs we see from the movie, but she looks decently enough like her original

I admit it isn’t great looking overall, but it’s decent

Also I gave her diamond shaped pupils because honestly, we need more pupil shapes in this style; we know they aren’t all circles because of D-16 and his hexagon eyes, I want some more variety

Then I made a more Animated style head design to fill up a bit more space. And personally, I think it turned out way better than the other two, probably because it’s the closest to her original style, outside of some of the face things

I also didn’t give her lipstick, but eh, I don’t want to

Then I decided to do a more Earthspark style since I’ve dabbled in that one as well, and while it’s not horrible, I don’t think it’s as good as the Animated one

So uh yeah, I have slightly more content of this OC now. I still don’t really know what to do with Stinger though. Like I know she’s an unknown entity merely disguising herself as a Cybertronian, as well as having a terrifying alternate form (though also probably a normal-ish alt mode), and she very rarely talks, possibly to hide her pretending but it might not be. But like, I don’t know what her deal is, who she aligns with or interacts with, or what her power level is

She’s also gotten some slight design changes now, specifically with the middle of her head, but I realized while making this that her design’s a bit ill-defined, I don’t really know what a lot of stuff here is. Nor do I even have the best grasp of her color palette, and I feel like maybe I need to change it more

I also should probably draw more from her general design inspiration, who’s far more white than blue (even if she’s meant to be blue) and has a rather different look to her

Ah well, that’s a topic for if I ever decide to do more with her in the future. At the very least she’s got more going for her than some certain sparkling OC ideas that I’ve never returned to (or almost all of them in general, unless your name is Lux and you’re an endless struggle to design)

But yeah, enjoy whatever this is, if you wish to. It’s not great but it’s something I guess

Look you can't give us Earthspark Stunticons without giving us your take on this version of their characters. I wanna know what gets carried over, what's different, how would they, hypothetically, interact with the rest of the cast? Are they stuck on Cybertron while breakdowns on earth? How'd that reunion go?

AHH this ask makes me so happy!! Bless you so very much! 😭 I just love the Stunticons so so much and there's so much I wish we could've seen when it comes to them!! Honestly, I was just going to be drawing them and leave it at that but... they have been occupying my thoughts for the last week and I ended up creating a whole Earthspark AU with them 🫠 ((I'm open to suggestions when it comes to naming the AU!!)) I really adore their origins in G1 so I took most of my ideas from there!! I have all of these paragraphs written about how they reacted when they were first given sparks by Megatron, how their psychological issues started, how these issues affected their teamwork and affected the mind of the Menasor when they combined, how they learned to cope with their issues, each of their individual journeys on getting better at understanding themselves, and then later on understanding each other, accepting one another as who they are and lending a helping hand whenever one of them needs it!! Gosh, so much to talk about when it comes to them!!

With the way I ended up giving them all their own backstories, I ended up kind of OC-fying them 😅But still did my best to stay loyal to their origins in G1! Additionally I wanted to do something with Earthspark's concept of "family" so I wanted these guys to become a family in the end too! ((Especially making Motormaster go through a huge character arc where in the end she treats the Stunticons more like a family! While also keeping her distance from them both physically and emotionally because she thinks she doesn't have the right to get into their personal spaces after everything she put them through)) I could talk about them for hours honestly!! I wanna do more drawings and doodles of them! I dream of writing down all my thoughts in a fanfiction one day, but I'm not sure if that will be a reality... So I may just share my ideas bit by bit in different art posts!! Also yes!! The rest of the Stunticons ended up being separated, with Breakdown being the only one on Earth! Motormaster tried to reach for him but unfortunately she wasn't fast enough to do so before the only entrance got blown up. It leaves the rest of the Stunticons in a weird place, they *just* learned to accept each other and work on their issues together, and now one of them is gone, and they aren't sure if he is even alive! But they don't repeat the same mistakes of the past and stick together instead, ignoring everything about Cybertron until they find BD. Meanwhile Breakdown, when he's first separated from them, has a moment where his paranoia almost overwhelms him again, like in the past. But he manages to calm himself and focus, finding ways to survive on Earth along with other Decepticons. Even though he commits dangerous acts and constantly seeks adrenaline ((joining races all around the world etc)) in an attempt to cope. When they do reunite, it is a happy reunion! With the rest of the Stunticons gathering around BD and celebrating!! Of course, Motormaster still keeps her distance, but if you watch closely, you can see the very small and shaky sigh that she lets out.

ES Rarepair Week Day 4: Angst

This one is kind offffff a continuation of this fic that i've been meaning to get back to. There's scenes between that one and this one that I want to write eventually but just know that they're connected. CW for character death and Mikejima typical family issues

Shu hadn’t been in this hospital room in almost three years. The last time, Maguro seemed to be on the up and up, but he couldn’t help but feel that there was something he was missing. Maguro, the girl he had been watching over, was fine, her illness was no longer getting the best of her and she had stopped being able to see Shu at their last meeting. Her brother on the other hand, that pesky Madara Mikejima, had stopped coming to the hospital room as well, though Shu had sensed him in the hallway on more than one occasion. 

Shu had come to check on Maguro, who was now 16 years old, only to find her brother in the hospital room once again. He looked all the worse for wear, kneeling on the floor next to her bed, cheeks sunken, clothes sagging on his body that was severely underweight. Mikejima, Shu spoke up, what are you doing? Isn’t it obvious, Madara replied, barely shifting his head to look at Shu, I’ve been doing this for her. What do you mean ‘this’. I… Oh. 

Oh. Shu was hit with the realization. You’ve been giving away your life force, but why. I couldn’t let my sister die like that, alone, in the hospital without anyone to look after her, isn’t that what big brothers are supposed to do? You might be the only big brother to give up your life force itself for your sister, aren’t you worried about what will happen to her when you’re gone? Yeah, it gave me nightmares as a kid but this is for the best, and since God isn’t real, someone has to protect her. Does your family know? I haven’t spoken to them in months, not since, well, I’m sure you’ll hear soon enough. 

Shu could see that Madara’s life was fading rapidly and he’d be dead before long, and Shu would have to usher him to the afterlife. Are you scared of dying? I accepted long ago that I’d die young. That’s not what I asked, I want to know if you’re scared of dying. Madara turned away, his hands covered Maguro’s and squeezed them gently, or maybe it was simply due to how far along he was that he couldn’t squeeze any harder. I don’t want her to see me like this, can we do this somewhere else? You won’t make it out of the hospital in that state. That’s alright, as long as Maguro-chan isn’t the one to find me. Fine, I can at least grant you that. 

The two of them exited the room and Madara immediately collapsed, the door barely closed behind him. Shu-san, it’s been a while since we’ve talked like this huh. What’s got you acting so sentimental? You act like the dying aren’t the most sentimental people alive. Well, you would be right that we haven’t talked since you were what, sixteen yourself? That was when I discovered I could transfer my life to Maguro-chan and I… I was scared of losing her, the world can live without someone like me but she deserves the world. What makes you say that? Shu could sense Madara’s soul was preparing to leave his body, but he kept the conversation going. I’ve done horrible, horrible things, things you only associate with the dregs of society, all for her, and I’d do it again, that’s the thing isn’t it, I’d do it all again in a heartbeat if it meant that she’d be okay. Madara’s body shuddered. I’m ready, Shu-san, whenever you want to take me, just make it painless. 

Shu couldn’t control when Madara died, but he could pretend, hold his hand and coax him into that deep slumber until his soul separated from his body. The hospital staff were busy in other wings but his body would be found by the morning. As much as Madara had gotten on his nerves, Shu couldn’t just leave him to die completely alone and have a stranger usher him to the afterlife, not when Shu was right there. When Madara’s soul finally separated from his body, Shu pulled him to his feet. You’ve died, alone, in the hallway of a hospital. I know. Were you satisfied with the life you’ve led? Yes.

I am today years old when I learned that some ao3 tags, whether it only gained 3 separate uses or has a ton of people using them, can't be filtered because the volunteers haven't wrangled them yet (made them filterable, or "canonize" the tags, according ao3's support and feedback page)... I'm kinda mind-blown by the whole process and how they still need humans to gather every tags before squeezing them into a single term, ngl :o

I have been debating this with myself for way too long, Skitty means Everything About The Cat Metaphor (and also being the best PMD starter overall) but Togepi gets Friendship Evolution and Fairy Typing (and also I Really Like Togepi) so uh which one fits more.
