9.How much did Bhaal influence their design or personality in the end? Did you research lore to purposefully get the resemblance or do you just go with the flow and what feels right for the story you want to tell?

Appearance wise: none. Not at all. Zero. It did not occur to me to look at the big dragon for ideas at all. I will say the silver eyes are kind of an echo, but I don't think I should get credit for it.

Personality and lore wise: I was so deep on the lore for this game that I had dozens of tabs open. I wrote timelines. I ran around looking for documents. The bits of lore that had the biggest influence where hearing about leading the congregation when you first get back to the city, the ecstasy of Bhaal document which informed a lot of how i saw her interactions with her church (madonna whore, mother lover), and then the interactions with the brain! Each part made me look at the charismatic cult leader dial and crank it up a few more notches. I wanted the most honeyed word devil woman to ever exist. I wanted someone who could ask you to kill yourself and you would do it.

I also learned about the idea of a shadow bard at some point and that to me is what she is in her pre-game state. She is words laced with magic. Her weapon is her people and her goal is to nurture them and to use them well.

Do you ever think about how people judged and were cruel to Brienne her whole life and the most the people most important to Brienne (Renly, Catelyn, etc) did for her was let her pledge her service to them. And then Jaime comes along and looses a hand while trying to protect her and then jumps in a bear pit for her and then gives her a gift so priceless that the richest house in the country could not afford one, so priceless that I cannot even think of a modern comparison.
