my nearly 30 year old ass gets to go to a lot of odd towns and cities in the UK for work but I never get the opportunity to adventure within them. Here's a few thoughts from a morning spent in a random city centre;

why is there so many people out here? do they not have jobs they need to be at?

delivery vehicles are electric now, which is very cool, but the even cooler ones are the pedal-powered soapbox-lookin' juggernauts that are straight out of a sci-fi hellscape. snowpiercer ain't got shit on them

food deliveries however are still being completed in vehicles that were made before most current uni students were born

The Grinch is everywhere. his iconography is rampant in ways that the marketing team behind the new Wicked movie can only dream of. he is idolised more than santa in ways that would fuel an academic thesis. shops seem to use The Grinch to forward the idea that santa (and thereby consumerism) is not cool and so use mr grinchy to pander to those who hate christmas for its isolating tendencies and financial hardship-inducing social obligations, thereby justifying the expense of gift giving to those who align with grincher prior to his court ordered enlightenment

bondage shops are allowed to have the nastiest gear on full display in their windows now tho so i guess that i'm okay with it all

a weeabo-inspired record store played a song with the word fuck in it and literally no one cared. it was a monday and the kids were in school so i guess it makes sense

a container truck that could happily mow down the entire field of the tour de france without changing lanes played the macarena with such force that you could hear it above a school choir singing carols outside a nearby church

the other school choir singing carols outside of a different nearby church were unaffected

buses are electric now? and quieter? are they now easier to miss when waiting for one at a remote stop? would like to try one to find out

there's a street with shops that are all openly trans inclusive. barbers, convenience stores, about 5 game board cafe places, i love this so much!!!

But anyways; it was soon time to go back to the trading estates I get to frequent for work and then eventually on to my rural home in the fields. I shall long for another adventure someday soon!

#shes cool as fuck to me bc when I first played jfa I found her really frustrating to deal with #not just as Phoenix but I mean like on a personal level she is challenging because she’s so thorough #and yet I also find it fascinating that she breaks the character she’s built for herself once in a while #i 100% believe that I don’t think she would have caught on to what Phoenix was trying to do while stalling for time with engardes trial #so it’s probably a good thing edgeworth subbed in but she literally busts her ass to bring evidence to court #almost right after having a bullet extracted from her WHICH SHE ALSO PRESENTS AS EVIDENCE. thats metal as fuck ok #especially since she would technically have nothing to do with the case after edgeworth fills in and she still decided to do that anyway #maybe it was blind faith to use that evidence to win since she wasn’t there for most of the trial but still #and even if canon doesn’t give it to me I still firmly believe there’s be at least some chemistry between her and Maya #like especially if you hold it next to wrightworth that works bc there’s already a history there and majority of Phoenix and miles trying #to relearn their relationship is Phoenix coaxing out that side of Miles that he remembers from fourth grade #but with Franmaya it’s something new and they’re basically strangers to each other and one of them almost got the other convicted #and I still think that’s fascinating and it’s a damn shame thay half of the fics I find for them on ao3 is background in wrightworth fic #i did find a good one that touched on Franziska trying to win pearls approval because Pearl does hold a grudge against her #and seeing that trying to live up to perfecting even her personal relationships without getting to know Pearl to even know #why it wasn’t working feels believable when I think abt her as a character yk #myart #my art #doodles #aa #ace attorney #franziska von karma
