every time you read a g/t story where the tiny faints repeatedly and you’re like “no one could possibly faint this much”, think of me, your local tiny who has a disability that involves fainting often. i personally love the representation of a person who drops like a sack of potatoes at the slightest inconvenience. like realistically if i ever met a giant i wouldn’t flirt or run or scream, i’d blink up at them and then hit the ground like

they get placed on the floor next to Red. on top is a note in red ink. it reads as follows:

"I got distracted. its hard to communicate but Im here. dont know for how long. this place gives me goosebumps. -TDL"

a few of the letters had lines struck through them. as if Dark's hand occasionally jerked trying to write on it.

above... two floating gloves? one of them made a peace sign as some sort of greeting.

this was probably the only way hed be able to be seen or interact with the world as he was for most. he hoped cat red did not somehow misunderstand the situation. in fact he offered one of the gloved hands to be sniff-inspected. as was the courtesy with cats.

red walked over to the flags on the ground, sniffing them briefly, as they started to purr after realizing what they were, not only that, but who they were from

his attention was towards the letter briefly, ( miraculously, still able to read whilst being a cat ), eventually glancing up to eye the gloved hands above

however, despite the gloves being at red's eye level, red kept....glancing upwards occasionally ? almost as if xe saw something...rather someone...?

red sniffed the glove, silently appreciative over the courtesy, but as she did so, her gaze now was steadily eyeing up, briefly squinting, as their head slightly tilts in curiosity, almost as if trying to discern if what xe sees is real, or not

odd....its almost as if they could faintly see dark....?

storytime which my figs know about but whatever (and thanks to my beloved boundin for being all worired abotu me. sorry.)

so i had an assignment due yesterday. a care plan worth 15% of my grade for a double credit point unit. anwyay. i didn't touch it, for various reasons up to and including what i'm currently calling situational depression, and planned to get an extension.

fun fact: apparently you can't get extensions day-of, at least for that assignment.

i found this out at about 11am, due 8pm, having not even looked at assignment before then.

so of course i kind of panicked. just a little bit. and opened it up real quick. shifted to desk. put on the kettle and started digging around my music library.

there's this song i like, carpenters of course, "don't be afraid". i cycled through a few other songs before i got to that one, none of them helping me get into the zone.

(anyway i listened to "don't be afraid" on loop 108 times yesterday afternoon, putting it as the top number of plays on my music app, finally surpassing a particular movement of a beethoven sonata (13 second mvt) that has reigned as king for a couple of years. then towards the end, flagging, i switched to a combo of "road ode" and "a song for you (reprise)", because those two songs have to go together musically.)

i was already feeling awful physically because most of my intake the previous day had been cheese, so wheeee dairy and almost-diarrhea as well as reasonably severe stomach pain. stress was making me dissociate a bit as well.

so. caffeine time.

keep working. more caffeine time.

keep working. more caffeine, an unmeasured amount of sugar, and another couple of spoonfuls of coffee because why not. because of a mysterious headache (likely caused by a combination of too much coffee, no food, and dairy the previous day), took ibuprofen.

keep working. more coffee. more headache. more ibuprofen.

at that point i was entirely detached from my body, experiencing symptoms of a caffeine overdose and potentially ibuprofen overdose too (didn't exceed the maximum for ibuprofen in a day, but in that short a time yes, and certainly caffeine), and saying all the stuff that worried boundin. still working on the assignment though while feeling unreal to a complete degree, not just partial, and noting symptoms as an intellectual exercise. was not present in my body at all. oh, did i mention i hadn't eaten that day? i was also experiencing violent nausea.

keep working. song still on loop. headache reducing. time passed and the reaction i was experiencing began to fade. brother gave me chocolate at some point near the end.

completed and submitted assignment about five minutes before i had to go out for the evening. somehow not at all shaky but i could feel all my skin and was inclined towards giggling.

arrived at friends' house. mentor asked how my day had been. i began laughing, explained what my day had been doing, and ended up giggling helplessly. she looked Concerned++ as i hilariously recounted my accidental overdoses x2 and that i hadn't eaten anything except chocolate, sugar, caffeine and ibuprofen that day. i made many jokes throughout the meal but mostly restrained myself overall - i was self-aware enough to know how abnormally i was acting, but it was so hard to avoid these things. inclined to laughter the whole evening, though after eating actual food that didn't contain sugar it did settle a little. later in the evening i impulse-agreed to a thing saturday i didn't want to go to, noted the concerning level of impulsivity and restrained myself from agreeing to anything else.

was offered, and enthusiastically consumed, a quantity of cold roast potatoes, which definitely helped as well.

arrived home less inclined towards giggling, but still violently nauseous; managed to avoid throwing up by the barest of margins. practically inhaled bread and ham, which i found too sweet because it was housed in the same fridge as bananas; found peanut butter for the last slice of bread, which helped. still feeling very ill but suspected i needed it given all the everything - i think this was the right call.

went to bed, yoinked ransom, cuddled him forcibly and eventually managed to sleep, still feeling rather quite hyper.

this morning i am still slightly hyper and mildly unwell but fatigue is balancing the tendency towards impulsivity. am not going to consume either caffeine or ibuprofen today unless something drastic changes or something, and a hard ban on both refined sugar and dairy until i feel more normal again.

My favorite thing about the 18 months crew is that at some point Barnes had to have looked at his team, realized he was somehow the normal sane man and responsable voice of reason, slowly muthered "oh no" to himself and keep going.

This man has waited so long to talk about his trauma and infodump on his cool sword that I think the moment Cel finally asked him about it was one of the happiest moments of the whole adventure for him (seconded only by starting an actual relationship with them).

And look that's not me saying that Barnes doesn't love or trust his friends only that at that particular moment they were all horrible options to talk about his own issues with.

So this is my Barnes apreacition post for holding it all together.

the music in WOT is never random. even if it's just very soft background music, it's relevant to the scene. practically every time there's music playing while egwene is onscreen during s2, the tune is egwene's theme, rearranged and reinstrumentated in dozens of different ways to match the tone of the particular scene. mat has quick little snippets of his theme tune play during various scenes of his, often mixed with the old blood theme from s1, and it finally blares out in full glory for the first time during the horn of valere scene, to parallel how mat is truly finding himself for the first time. even secondary characters like liandrin, siuan, and aviendha have their own dedicated theme tunes that play during their scenes and are never repurposed as background music in other characters' scenes. and all the themes have lyrics in the old tongue that suit the character or concept the theme is about! in conclusion, lorne balfe is truly doing the Most, and i'm so grateful he's the composer for WOT and i hope he'll return for every season the show goes for.

I might be an obsessive fan at this point - but but but could you consider the latest Choso fic in the perspective of other characters? Reader bumps into characters on the night of incident and they react to them. If this make sense.

i like the idea 💜 i’ll give it a go with a couple more characters that i like to write but it might take a hot moment before i get around to it as a heads up!

first art post of the new year!!! granted, i don't share my art here that much anyway, but– shhh.

hehehehhhooo,, here's something i've been working on for 'bout a month,, albeit not consecutively– took a few,, very very long breaks in between working on this,, but i managed to finish it in the end! am i satisfied with it? .......ehhhh? not completely, but if this took any longer, it might not have seen the light of day, so like. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

anyway,, made a little poster for my favorite fic, tommyinnit's services for villains, vigilantes, and various other vagabonds, by @scorpionoesit!!! it's really really good,,, and i've always wanted to make more art for it,, so i decided– poster! at least,, that's what it's mean to resemble,,, dkdmkdmdkd.

i will freely admit,, i'm... not the biggest fan of the fan-made logo i tried to design for it,, feels a bit boring, and could definitely have used a bit more pizazz, something to make feel more like the fic itself(what does that mean? you figure that out),,,, but– again, steam was running low,, dkdnksjs. graphic design is my passion. i do also have other complaints, but i'm afraid i already punched my one-use self-critique card,, oh well,,, dkdnkxjdkd.

regardless,, even with the flaws only i can really see,, this still turned out pretty okay!! hope you enjoy it, mx. scorpio and mx. alibi!!! and i hope everyone else has a wonderful new year!!!!

something I think is terribly unfair about snw is that there are so many reasons I hate it, including but not limited to the weird waxed-chest cheating spock (blade??), them "developing" chapel so she can give up her career for a man who doesn't care about her anyways, the choice of casting ethan peck in the first place, and their absolute refusal to engage with the genre of science fiction (or. you know. a basic understanding of how physics or sound waves or computers work) in a way that makes any sense. I hate it. I hate it!!

however.

I wasn't initially a fan of paul wesley as kirk, but the second I saw him do that crazy close imitation of william shatner's little smug grin and shrug, I was in. I love it when people are good at what they do, and it really comes across in his performance. (meanwhile they could replace ethan peck with a wooden board and write FAMOUS ACTOR'S GRANDSON on it and have the same effect. but that's not my point at the moment.)

and you know who else is acting like her life is on the line? christina chong. which is not to say I don't have issues with her character! so far I've only watched tos and the related movies so idk what the connection to khan is and it took me a bit to realise that they weren't actually going to get into that (I've decided that they probably explored it in another series and I haven't seen it yet, because if they just threw that surname in there for fun I will go insane), and I have no earthly idea why they decided to make such a compellingly strong, unbreakable kind of character terrified of the fucking gorn, of all villains. anyways. not my point.

my point is that I am a simple lesbian, and it is so unfair that in such a bad show la'an is so gorgeous and strong and smart and did I mention gorgeous. if only they could write her the way she deserved to be written. I love her as she is but she could be so so so interesting if they just gave her a decent plot! alas for some reason it is a sitcom that occasionally has battle sequences and computers and not an actual science fiction drama. but a girl can dream.

sometimes i think about that moment of dana talking about the cast's music taste and it makes me quite disappointed because i feel she got it completely wrong and missed the potential of what hunter would listen to. sorry but linkin park feels so basic??? hunter feels like he would like obscure shit. AND AS SOMEONE WHO LISTENS TO METAL LIKE BROO i have like opinions. also WHAT do you mean luz listens to kpop. i completely fucking disagree sorry. j-rock is more like it if anything or indie pop/rock. it does not fit with her at all. kpop feels to mainstream?? and besides she likes anime right? dont you think shed want to listen to anime openings and like all sorts of things having to do with the culture. j-rock fucks. i dont listen to MUCH of it because i havent found much but like she doesnt seem like shed listen to that dana why would you say that :(. ive been constructing her taste in my mind for YEARS and you say the wrong thing.
