Dude, sometimes it just hits me how utterly limitless shifting/manifesting is. "Well, DUH Angel, that's kind the whole point" BUT LIKE IT'S STILL CRAZY TO THINK ABOUT TO ME. You can grow wings and learn how to fly. You can go through a complete 180 glow-up without lifting a finger. You can rewrite history. You can customize every single thing about yourself down to nail color like a video game. You can date a celebrity as a non-celebrity. You can get instant fame. You can make an ideal family. You can make "fictional characters" reality. This is the cheat code to life. You can do, be, and have everything and more! You never have to worry. Isn't that just so amazing? Shifting/manifestation is the purest form of freedom

Actually genuinely curious, does anyone else have something they want from Arknights that you know is not going to happen (or at least not soon anyways) either because it's too specific or because you know it would only cater to you?

I'm not talking about like, criticisms of Arknights and things you'd want it to get better. I'm talking pure indulgent stuff that's only to your personal benefit really like specific types of merch, characters, events, mechanics or whatever.

As an example, I would love for there to be an event that specifically centred around Mr Nothing and the Who Is Lingering Crew having to go back to his hometown where Mr Nothing has to confront his past once and for all and the story is themed around not letting the past control you anymore and moving on. The event would have the style and aesthetic of the Bruce Lee films and wuxia dramas especially it's music. It could be where they give Mr Nothing an alter and Hibiscus a skin in the 0011 series so she could match with Kroos and Lava.

It's not gonna happen, I know it aint. But sometimes you need a dream to keep going in life yanno.

something I sort of believe but can't really defend is that (at least of the "classical" genres) most of our popular musical vocabulary comes from the romantic period

like I feel like I listen to romantic compositions (esp. like grieg's) and they basically just "make sense," like all of the motions they're making are familiar to me, sometimes so familiar to the point of boredom

and I feel like as I move both forward and backwards in time from the late 19th century, the compositional idioms become less and less instinctively familiar to me

So Royal Prep is teaching royals sorcery. Specifically how to transform mundane things into precious gems...

Yet while this is happening the common folk seem to think only certain people can perform magic, and are taught science instead, something the royals aren't explicitly taught.

Not only that, but it seems the sorcery school has a long running rivalry with Royal Prep.

So like... Are the Fairies and Royals trying to push out the idea of Royal Sorcerers?

Teaching the royal heirs magic to turn rocks into wealth, getting rid of royal sorcerers, and keeping the common folk ignorant of how magic works, would make the the royals and their bloodlines incredibly more powerful.

I the episode where Miss Nettle is "Sasha the sorceress" all the things she conjured and transformed were fake, but even the imagery and implication of all the wealth the transfigured rocks gives would still feed into the power they're projecting.

Look, I know it's incredibly unlikely, and they just wanted to incorporate some fun magical moments into the show, but the way they went about doing it makes the it all a little suspicious.
