One Million Words

Guys! Guys! Guys!

I just passed one million words posted to Tumblr!! I'm not counting words written. I'm not counting my short stories, flash fiction, poetry, novels in progress, etc. that live on other websites (or just on my laptop). I'm not counting my fanfic stuff that's partially written sitting in a WIP folder. I'm only counting chapters completed and posted on Tumbler.

I just posted chapter 9 of Unexpected, officially hitting the one-million-word mark. 1,001,092 to be exact.

I'm stupidly excited and proud of myself for this. I've been on here for 28 months. By word count, I've posted the equivalent of between fourteen to seventeen novels here. 😧That's like six books a year.

Forgive my babbling but I am ridiculously chuffed about this!!! Thank you all for reading, commenting and generally tolerating me for the last twenty-eight months. 😆

So uh. I have a Raspberry Pi 5 running MX Linux now.

I barely even knew what Linux was before I got the Pi. I haven't touched my Windows machine for the past couple days. I've just been browsing the web and installing crap on my Pi.

And now it's ready to be my primary coding and writing machine. Which means I'm going to be using it even more.

Does this mean I'm officially a nerd now? As if I wasn't already.

Thinking of writing a loscar fic where its just them calling each other before one of them heads off to bed during winter break when Oscar's in Melbourne and Logan's in Florida.

Oscar wakes up, Logan's heading to bed - videocall.

Logan wakes up, Oscar's heading to bed - videocall.

And they tell each other about how their day had gone, what they've dreamt about, what are their plans later in the day.

And they always tell each other about how the stars are shining that night, and whether they had seen the same one the other had seen the previous night.

When Oscar's getting ready for his day and brushing himself up, Logan watches him do so while struggling to keep his eyelids open in bed.

Sometimes one of them starts reminiscing about when they were younger.

How they used to sneak out onto an abandoned parking lot nearby Oscar's place and stargaze for god knows how long.

Or how Logan used to sneak into Oscar's room through climbing into his window and them needing to hide Logan under the bed whenever Oscar's mom comes in to check.

He looked at me like I was crazy, then like he came to realization I wasn’t joking, stared at me like it makes sense, and said “noice” and gave me a thumbs up.

ILL HAVE YOU KNOW THIS KID IS OLDER THAN ME AND SAID “noice”
