yknow i didn't necessarily start my wyll origin run with the intent of romancing astarion in mind but the more i play the more i find their similarities amusing when it comes to like, the surface level personality they present to strangers in act 1.

wyll is a compulsive flirt. you see it in dialogue with shadowheart and lae'zel - he just tosses out a couple lines that clearly aren't supposed to go anywhere (asking lae'zel if she believes in love at first sight, blatantly reusing the same flirtation attempts with shadowheart) and i see this as part of his Blade of Frontiers persona. obviously a traveling vigilante would have no time for romance or relationships, but he's socially aware enough to have learned that people respond well to a certain level of rogueish charm. especially if his reputation precedes him. he can safely and positively engage in surface level flirtations with the people he interacts with because the person doing the flirting isn't real - at least not to him. he often says the Blade is his best self, but to him its an ideal he strives to achieve, not the person he really is. and i imagine that includes the ability to give discouraged people positive attention in a nonthreatening way. its safe. its superficial. he doesn't have to follow through.

this is overshadowed somewhat by astarion's tendency to flirt with anything that has a pulse, but the perspective they both have on it is pretty similar. theyre both coming from a place of not actually being interested in the recipient of their attention - whether that be through astarion's ulterior motives or wyll's lack of capacity for a relationship - but they both still put on this front because it's habitual. it's worked for them and it's gotten them through the varying degrees of social contracts they find themselves in. so they wind up trading lines easily because they've studied from the same script.

anyway what im getting at is bumping these two personalities against each other can definitely result in wyll and astarion committing to the bit so hard they accidentally wind up in a relationship. like, you're safe, you know the rules, you're speaking in a language i'm familiar with but we both understand that neither of us expect anything back on an emotional level. wait when did we start confiding our deepest secrets with one another. what do you mean you trust me.

Okay okay. I'm going to ricochet on my blog a little bit today in the sense that I have like three different things that I want to talk about from three different medias uhm. First thing. I'm just gonna say it now and I'm trying to think of it from an outside perspective because me saying this I'm being so silly over it but from an outside perspective it's like. Yeah okay. Anywho uhm. So apperently. D.octor Who has two hearts and. Therefor two heart beats. And for some reason my first thought was "oh hey that's nice" and not. Some sort of shock or anything. I'm not even the type of person that goes all out with like yknow. Looking up those videos of a heartbeat and sticking it under your pillow and laying your head on it and being all relaxed like that like youre laying on someones chest so I don't know why the guy running in doubletime is catching my interest with it. Maybe it's because it actually we actually hear it? And so it didn't like. Hhhhururhrht. It's one of those things that on paper you just shrug your shoulders at and then it happens and you're like OH!! OHHH...!! Yknow it's like yeah sure whatever getting flowers, that's cheesy I want something more and then it happens and you're like WHAT? THE HELL????? FLOEERS? FOR ME?!?(or something like that. Just something as a comparison I don't know.) And. Why do I have several.things to say about this

I don’t have a specific ship i'm particularly loyal to, so I guess I’ll rate them and also provide my own headcanons:

(disclaimer i dont know ship names so imma just try my best)

Trine-shipping: yes, put the three of them together, I don’t care. familial, sexual, romantic, platonic, its all good. I go crazy seeing them stand next to each other in the cartoon what do you want from me.

thunderwarp: I see this one a lot and I quite like it. these two being mates with starscream doing his own thing kinda makes sense considering starscream has a bunch of other ships. also makes it fun when something happens to one of them and starscream is left in the awkward position of having to deal with that.

thunderstar: been thinking about this one more lately. they’re like foils to each other. thundercracker’s a good boy to starscream’s bad boy, and he does such a concern about all the morally dubious stuff starscream gets up to. but at the same time, he admires starscream’s ambition and rizz and starscream the kinda bot that would pull you so high if you followed him. I think out of anyone, starscream is the closest to actually trusting thundercracker. 

starwarp: i had this thought one time of what if skywarp is like the horniest asexual and starscream is the most traumatized aromantic, and how would that even work XD nothing solid in the works just an idea that I had. ive seen these two less often outside of trine shipping but it can be pretty hot. I like when they are being protective of each other. I always see skywarp as more emotionally open than his trinemates and starscream can use some of that open and honest emotional love and care. someone to forcfully make him accept being loved. someone who will actually push back when he’s being stupid. and with skywarp being loyal to megatron, so much angst potential for both of them.

starbee: im a sucker for the whole ghost bee starscream dynamic. I already made a post about these two, and after all this time I still really enjoy this ship. I think characters that don’t actually like each other at first but grow into a mutual respect is so tasty. I think some people don’t like the ship because they headcanon bee as too young? well, starscream is actually younger in my fic lmao, but also they’re like 6 million years old and are born with full adult processing capabilities, I don’t think age matters here :P its less about intimacy for me anyway. I like them together because of how much it takes to get there. 

starwavewave: okay this one is 100% fueled by tfone but guyssss guysss theyre married and megatron is their son and im just aaaagh dont seperate them! such a kookie dynamic, the cool headed soundwave, the emotionally volatile shockwave, the arrogant yet cowardly starscream, all being fail dads to their little scamp leader. hahaha. high command polycule 

megastar: gasp, rated above skystar. yes, I just find this dynamic more interesting. I like an abusive ship sometimes for the angst but I also enjoy seeing megatron when he isnt abusive? kinda catharsis maybe. I read a fic once where the war is over and starscream invites megatron to one of optimus’ high profile parties and is appalled at megatron showing up in robot equivalent of underdressed, meanwhile megatron the working class miner is like “I washed, what else was I supposed to do” XD and I just love that haha. theres just so many ways to take it. I wont be doing any megastar in my au, I just tag anything that has megatron and starscream interacting with megastar cuz thats the dynamic to me

skystar/jetstar: iddkkkkk i know this is the most popular ship but it’s just!! idk! its not as interesting to me haha. I love this as a past ship, they were roommates in college, starscream opened himself to someone, chose to become close and then was hurt by it. just another wound on starscream’s spark before he ever even meets megatron. I don’t think theyd get back together after the ice. idk how well I can write this so I’ll just explain how it happens in my au here: skyfire died and starscream created this version of skyfire in his mind that was perfect, he memorialised him because he was dead! you just cant live up to how someone remembers you. I think that was part of the reason why starscream reacts so badly when skyfire “betrayed” him. unlike thundercracker, skyfire knows how to set healthy boundaries. not to mention he’d been on ice for four million years, lost his entire life, everyone he knows, and his entire civilisation, planet, and culture to a war he had no part in. bot’s gonna be upset. pissed off even. skyfire shouldnt have to be some soft sparked punching bag for starscream, he’s kind and a pacifist but he’s also going to get upset and have feelings. I think starscream’s betrayal would hit pretty hard, he’d gonna be upset about how much starscream’s changed, how much damage starscream helped cause during the war, and also starscream shooting him in the back for wanting to protect the native wildlife! when they properly talk to each other again it’s going to be heated on both sides, and I think after some hard work from both sides they could end up in a place where they are willing to be friends again, but I don’t think they’d conjunx. skystar isnt end game to me, but it is canon and an important part of the story

starop: I think ive read one fic where I really liked this ship. it’s just such a random pairing. my initial reaction is just noooo optimus prime?? but that guy’s everyone’s dad! Ive been told a big part of it is they’re both megatron’s ex’s and that’s pretty funny. not for me sadly haha (opxmegatronoldmanyaoiotpfrfr)

starjack…wheelstar? whatever the starscream and wheeljack one is. I’m not into this one. I see where people are coming from with it, but wheeljack isnt an interesting character to me. they can be science bros tho

starscream and windblade: ive seen this like once or twice. not for me. windblade is like, starscream’s daughter or something idk XD 

soundstar: uuuh i dont see it. sorry! i legit have no thoughts on soundstar. theyre coworkers XD. ive seen fics where the seekers are really young and soundwave moms them, and that’s really cute. okay, I like soundwave as a caretaker if the seekers are young, but yeah I don’t think I understand this one. 

shockstar: nooooooo. tho ironically theres more canon content there to fuel this one than soundstar (is this emotion?) but still no XD I don’t even hate shockwave! let him be sunstorm’s dad, that’s cute. but no, shockewave too creepy. no ship. they are also coworkers

what other ship is there even? oh yeah

starprowl: this is apparently a really popular ship?! I guess in a way prowl is sort of like the autobot’s starscream, undermining his leader, arrogant, willing to do the dubious play. they’re both ruthless. I like this one better than starjacked, but its still an odd pairing to me.

oh! knockout and starscream, i can kinda see it? like, as a rebound after breakdown? I like knock out and breakdown, so I’d only see these two as like friends or if something happened to breakdown. they’re a LOT of fun when they interact tho heh heh, perfectly clashing personalities

on the topic of tfp, I guess starscream and arcee is a ship? I can see this similar to my enjoyment of starbee, they’d have to work reeaally hard for this one to work but they have had potentially positive interactions in the show (before starscream screws it up) so its possible in a better world where starscream doesnt suck they could become friends. him killing cliffjumper is gonna be a huge hurdle tho!

do people ship starscream and ratchet? I don’t ship it, but I do really like interactions between them. starscream is so terrible but he also gets hurt a lot. ratchet is grumpy and prejudice but he’s the best doctor and he’ll fix him up! I like when something terrible happens to starscream and ratchet cant help but feel bad for the guy. that’s the good stuff.

lastly i have been asked a few times on trinebee. im assuming this is bumblebee and the trine. i hadnt thought about it but it makes sense! if youre a starbee shipper, but you also support trine propaganda, then it only makes sense to bring bee into the trine. also bee and thundercracker are friends! the only ones who havent really had any interaction is bee and warp, and honestly idk if I see those two getting along but bumblebee is everybody’s friend so XD I’m sure it’ll work out!

and i think those are all the thoughts i have on the ships! 

no hate on anyone who ships any of these!!! you all do what you do, these are just my opinions, and honestly I’m just not a huge shipper to begin with haha. I am…unsure if there will be any shipping content in my au, I write my scenarios very much “canon but to the left” and so it comes out very sex-less because romance and intimacy is just not the type of content I’m in the business of writing. but, idk, i think about it sometimes. sometimes I think about the end of chapter one of thundercracker’s origin, the night starscream took thundercracker out on a not-date. i think, who knows, in some version of the story maybe they shared a kiss? maybe they went back to the apartment and things went further? maybe. but of course, in every version of the story, starscream is gone the next morning.

I'm nervous to post these.. I've never made ocs before but star trek has imbedded itself so deep into my mind that I started to come up with stories

i dont have names for them yet im horrible with names and idk know how to go about that for my Romulan dude

i started thinking about them and when i got around the 4th season of ds9, so theres a lot of random story plots, and ideas written in a notebook and in my head but the basic story so far is

that this dude is a human from 2024 who lived in the sanctuaries, and due to some weird space shit and unfortunate events with a ship and its crew he ends up in the future. ( hes actually stays on a space station with its crew )

he meets the Romulan dude on a trip that was supposed to be going back to earth, but they got a distress signal from a nearby planet and when they went to check it out they found a crashed Romulan ship and a injured Romulan

i have more in-depth story but im not a writer so im nervous to talk about it lol, i have some more characters in mind but these two are the only ones who i know how they look like.

hi everyone im really really normal isnt it really cool and normal that sol held onto this little metal name plate like it was the most precious thing he owned and carried it around with him all the time, even as a synth knight soldier, a little metal plate that had his name "solum" and was the only thing that tied him to who he is and where he comes from. "this is the only thing i had when i came to the waterpark, just this word". just one half of the plate. how did he know "bufo" was his last name? how did he know that metal plate was his? how did he know? when sol almost dies in king of dragons he dreams of a swamp that hes never been to. and its cool and normal that sol carries fragments of a person hes never been around with him forever, a history and a family and a context of what he is he doesnt even understand, that is and isnt his

and isnt it really cool and normal that sol was an abandoned and forgotten nobody in the waterpark, and then he was brought to launchpad and told he *was* somebody, he was an extension of another person, its boy wizard *and* frog pal, "familiars always smell like he person they work with", and then "the gloves are not the same i dont know whats going on what am i what am i", and then "humanoid animals are often viewed as cute by other humanoids and could be used to perpetuate mothership propaganda", and then "why clone me im just a frog im nobody", and. the memories of childhood and sense of identity that launchpad and the synth knight program offered him crumbled down overnight. hes not a synth knight and he was never a frog pal and if hes not mothership than what is he outside of that? except the kicker is that he *was* mothership, more than anyone else; "theres always the consideration that you were made in a mothership lab". that he is just an extension and a copy of somebody else.

and its so cool and normal that sol, from the very beginning, an unnamed desire that alexandrite tapped into, that almost lost him to the network, "you... could find my family? ... i have a few things id like to say to them for sure". sol finds out hes a clone and one of the first things he says was "i think that mightve been the closest thing to a dad ill ever have". brad and bron. sol wants to know swag so bad, he wants to impress him, he wants swag to like him. he practices in front of a mirror meeting him. when they finally meet face to face all sol can say is "i hate the fact that you exist". and still he fights so hard for swag. swag exists and sol is two of a kind now. sol doesnt know what he is anymore. sol sees flashes of clones at the edges of his vision. this is as close to a family as he can get. and swag was a wanderer who wanted to see the world outside his home, but sol was always looking *for* his home. sol fought for swag, but at the end of the day. swag daniels the ship of theseus. "what happens to the people who were trying to transport that got replaced by alexandrite? where does that matter go? / it disappears". I can't like funnybunny, abstragedy or royalteeth(yes some of the most popular ships)

funnybunny is more confusing to me because I can't imagine what their dynamic is like. For royalteeth ig I just don't get old man yaoi...

(sorry abstragedy shippers I'm gonna dunk so hard on your ship don't take this personally😭🙏)

But abstragedy for me feels like a ''half-baked'' ship with no real substance (not the art). It literally came from a background dialouge that most ppl missed, normally its not really a problem since I'm mostly alright with ships that had absolutely no build-up and interactions. I usually save the judgement until I see the fan stuff but it didn't really help. Since all the other popular characters are taken by ships like bunnydoll, showtime, etc. , so everyone just kinda hastily shove these two together and went: '''yup there we go, that's good enough :D''. Felt forced and neglects some type of actual reasoning behind it than just shipping for the sake of it.

P.S. yes ik shipping is just a fun and harmless indulgence it just makes my smooth brain agitated for some reason. This is coming from a ribbun shipper btw

first time ever posting something like this good lordt this is scary for me be nice bc i dont usually share my writing. im incredibly ill about shadow milk and pure vanilla atm so o-o lawl! hc on what happened after pv disappeared ig?? technically spoilers for a game of truth and deceit even if i dont really reference anything from beforehand- imagine they were arguing and fighting as they went up the stairs to the very top lawl. not meant to be ship but i support u vanilla milkshake truthers so u can eat this up as toxic yaoi if you want to. OKAY heres the story EEP

The wind echoes in the open balcony of the top of the Spire, the dark blue sky clouded with no sign of stars.

"Do you want to know what the Truth is, Vanilla?~"

It's voice is like ice, Pure Vanilla had never heard his name be spoken with such venom before. Let alone heard his name come from The Beast's mouth without it being a cruel petname of sorts.

The Light of Knowledge turns around to face Shadow Milk, raising his head to meet it's eyes as his orchid reveals the Beast's position to the blind healer.

Shadow Milk smiles, and it's always smiling, but this time theres a shocking sincerity to his expression. Almost pitying Pure Vanilla. What reason would it have to pity him?

"The Truth is… The world doesn't want to hear us. They don't want our Knowledge- they never did!" The Beast speaks, the usual giggle in his voice gone, the trill pitch lowering to something unnaturally serious for Shadow Milk.

"I had to learn the hard way. I thought for so long that all I had to do to keep the peace was tell everyone the truth. Be blunt and honest. I mean, that's what I was made for right?

"But that's not what Cookies wanted to hear. They only listened to what they wanted to. Got mad at the Truth, at honesty. The Truth hurts, Vanilla! And the Truth is, you can't save everyone."

The Beast leans in close enough that Pure Vanilla can make out the shape of it's face, shades of blue deepened under the night sky. It's eyes can be made out clearly, both bright shades of blue staring straight through him. Pure Vanilla feels himself shrink away.

"You've got a bit of a complex, my friend. My pal. Mi amigo!~ You think you can promise things that you aren't even sure are possible. You, my friend, are a liar just like me."

Pure Vanilla opens his mouth to respond immediately, but chokes on his words. It makes The Beast cackle.

"SEE!? Even you know I'm right! You promised to protect the world. To protect your friends. Look at how many times you've failed, how many shortcomings you've had." The Beast cups the blind healer's cheeks, pressing firmly.

"Relinquish that sweet SoulJam to me. Free yourself the burden of having to lie to your friends forever more. How much longer can you keep this up, Vanilly?~ You're only harming Cookies, just to give yourself peace of mind. Does it not drive you insane?" Shadow Milk's visage disappears as Pure Vanilla falters, loosening his grip on his orchid staff, closing her eye as their connection wavers. Blind once more.

Shadow Milk practically presses it's face to Pure Vanilla's cheek- it's body is freezing and it makes him shiver; it's nose is sharp and it makes him tense. It's smile widens against his cheek, and it makes him shrink even further.

"You don't have to hurt anyone anymore, my sweet Vanilla. I know how it feels, I walked in your shoes. Let me free you before you fall down that rabbit hole." The Beast places a hand on Pure Vanilla's chest, right above his SoulJam. He knows they can both feel it resonate between the two of them.

Pure Vanilla lets his own hand rest over The Beasts, hovering and shaking. His whole body, in fact, trembling. Maybe he was only hurting those around him. But all he's ever done is encourage and support his loved ones. Was that really so wrong? Was he really telling them the Truth? Perhaps all he had been doing was building them up just to come crashing down. All of his friends, the children… White Lily. Maybe all he has done to them, his whole life, even in his disappearance and non-existence, was hurt them.

"Take it." It's the weakest Pure Vanilla has ever even heard himself speak. Quiet, hoarse. Tired. Terrified.

"Take it. Please, leave the children alone. This is all you wanted." Pure Vanilla can feel Shadow Milk's teeth against his cheek, grinning ear to ear, his grip on the SoulJam tightening, pulling… And it's gone. It's as if a light has gone out within Pure Vanilla.

"Sure thing, sure thing…" Shadow Milk pulls away from Pure Vanilla, absorbing what was once his back into what remained of his own SoulJam.

"So thoughtful and kind of you, finally returning what doesn't belong to you! Dunno why it was so hard for the others… Oh, one final thing, Silly Vanilly!~" It feels as if the wind has picked up, bellowing both the Ancient and the Beast's clothing and hair. The air surrounding them feels like static, and it makes Pure Vanilla feel loopy- Chaos Magic returning full force to The Beast of Deceit.

"I'll see you on the Light Side of the Moon.~" Pure Vanilla feels hands shove against his shoulders, and immediately tumbles off the Spire's edge. They had just been standing at the middle, when had they gotten so far?!

It doesn't matter, anyways. Pure Vanilla listens to the echo of a victorious cackle as he plummets, allowing that Chaos Magic around him to envelop him before he meets his fate at the ground.

Hey, ramble to me about your Greek god rarepairs. (Please)

UHH OK SO- we have the basic one, apollomes. which is Apollo x Hermes

I honestly love seeing them together and since in Greek mythology they had funny interactions and it just kind of makes sense to me to ship them. Plus cobaltdreams on famfiction.net made 4 fics about this ship and I was in love with it. (There's also aungcha who drew apollomes and I was once again, In love with the ship.)

Aohrollomes is next, to be honest I don't even know when I started shipping them, it's such a silly ship but then when I thought more about it, it started to make sense? Since in Greek mythology Aphrodite and Hermes had an affair, plus Apollo and Aphrodite shared Adonis (the male lover of aphrodite) so they both dated him. But yeah, I love that silly ship that I totally didn't get brainwashed into liking by @skepticism105

Theres also Apolleremes which is Apollo x Eros x Hermes. Its another silly ship I just thought of because of a fic on Ao3 and a drawing of Aungcha- but if I get deeper into it, I have a little plot in my head about those three. It's like the myth of daphne where Apollo got shot with the love arrow by Eros but instead Eros and Apollo have fallen in love with Hermes, who is oblivious and freaked out by some of the messages he's getting (they are...let's say sexual, but some are nice though.) And so They both compete for Hermes' love

Theres also Apollohermesyus which is Apollo x Hermes x Dionysus. I just ship them because you coukd say those 3 are the cool guys in Greek mythology and I just like seeing them together, plus its funny in some sense

And Aphrollohermeresyus, a long ship name, i know. Its Aphrodite x Apollo x Hermes x Eros x Dionysus. I don't know where I began shipping them, but me and skeptic talked a LOT about Hermes ship, so all of a sudden I thought abt this and we started talking abt an au which was funny (If I get an ao3 acc I could finally write that au since its so silly I need to write it.)

Theres also Aphrothena which is Aphrodite x Athena, I dont know but its so funny that the goddess of love is with another god of war, you could say she has a type. This is also a silly ship I saw on tiktok and I just couldn't help but ship too but it's not that much since Athena is a virgin goddess and I like to respect that.

And now, aphroathenatemis, which is honestly just Aphrodite x Athena x Artemis, the same goes for this ship, it's silly and I like it I guess.

Artemis x Callisto, I LOVE the myth but I am also sad about it. Callisyo seemed genuinely in love with Artemis, maybe it was just admiration? But the way she died because of having Zeus' child (because he, non consensual changed into Artemis and got her pregnant afterwards.) and she couldn't be with the hunters anymore since she had lost her virginity makes me feel bad. But anyways, there's not that many posts about this ship but some fics that I enjoyed reading and started to ship this.

Hera x any of Zeus' affairs (Maia) I like to think that Hera gets revenge by just also having affairs with the women she got cheated on and Zeus just doesn't know how to react through anger. But I like to also ship her with Maia (Hermes' Mom) All that because of a fanfic on ao3 that was about why Hera spared Maia from her wrath when she usually gets angry and tries to end the women. And it's all because Maia was the only one there for her when she was going through everything (Like losing her virginity before getting married because Zeus transformed himself into a bird that was hurt. Then of course he non consensual had sex with her.) And I like how in the fic, Hera and Maia raised Hermes.

Non godly rarepairs

Circe x Scylla, I don't know honestly why I ship it but it's because I like enemies to lovers kind of, even if scylla didn't see Circe as an enemy of love. If you don't know the myth, Circe was in love with some mortal guy that was in love with Scylla. And what do you do when you're jealous in Greek mythology? You kill or curse someone. So Circe cursed Scylla into an ugly monster.

And I ship it because I like to think scylla was in love with circe and wanted her attention in some kind but it ended wrong.

Paris x Menelaus. HONESTLY I JUST FIND THE IDEA OF PARIS GOING FOR MENELAUS INSTEAD SO FUNNY😭 Aphrodite will be just looking at him speechless and say "Paris this was not the plan-"

Yeah I ship it because it's silly, and because of Qinny's posts which included some Paris x Menelaus (I swear if I have an ao3 acc, I will write about this ship.)

Diomedes x Odysseus, I dont know if its a rarepair since those mfs are very gay to me, and in the illiad they also were very gay, even their interactions. So yeah

Achilles x Patroclus, Idk if they are rarepair but the same goes for them🤷‍♀️

Alexander the great x Hephastion, not so many know about these gay fucks and I'm sad because of it. Like alexander idolized Achilles that much that he got his own lover (Hephastion = Patroclus) and they were childhood friends, no one got exiled.

There are also some epic ships I like.

Hermes x Tiresias, honestly, I dont know why everyone began shipping them (probably because of their voice actors, Mason and Troy making those videos) but I like this silly ship.

•curly doesnt want kids so neither does pony want kids, BUT WHAT THEY DO WANT R PETS!!! curly would totally convince pony to go to adopt one instead if shopping for one, if theres one thing in the world curly has a soft spot for its animals who r hurt

•pony thinks curly is genuinely cute sometimes, will he admit it???
