Can we please stop associating Uranus with break ups or sudden horrible news in SRC????? Like this planet represents sudden change and unexpected news, yet it doesn't necessarily means it's bad, hold your horses. I'm so pissed at seeing only bad and negative observations about Uranus in Solar Returns, I decided to explain how Uranus actually play in your life yearly with my own SRC.

Anytime I had Uranus somewhere in my SRC, it mostly represented something that changed very suddenly.

Uranus 9H= I was going on trips very suddenly, unexpectedly but had good memories. Ruler of the 9H was Aries (fast trips/ week ends) and it was in 12H (trips). Ruler also conjuncted Juno and I was mostly doing these trips with my ex.

Uranus 6H= "funny" thing is that I had this placement during COVID time, and I was still at college, so my routine was def changed suddenly when we had to learn from home 100%.

Uranus 11H= This placement was in the same house as Chiron, and I suffered from losing friends this year. It was my first year of college and I didn't have many friends. Yet, sudden change since I met my best friend this year too! Moreover, 9H Ruler was Uranus and I was entering College, which created a huge change in my relationships since I met a lot of my current friends there. I also had a specific internet friend who helped me a lot that year.

Uranus 3H= This was tricky to understand at first, yet I remember this year I moved to country side of my country and was cut from seeing my friends, etc. So I was very much online in general and I was trying to meet more friends online. I indeed met my FS online this year (3H ruler in 7H) and it was very sudden!

Uranus 12H= This one was def harsh for me. I was moving abroad, living in a completely different culture than mine and honestly, I felt very lonely there. It was a true experience to have yet I was crying often. Yet, I also learned how to be more independent and enjoyed this alone time I had, to have more freedom and I appreciated to be by myself.

Uranus 10H= This is the placement I had this year lol. People said it means being fired from your job (why so negative) but that didn't happen lmao. My Natal 10H stellium would never. Though! This placement was exactly what it meant: me leaving "normal jobs", to get into a less conventional one. I was entering a liberal job, and something being online. This idea also came in a very unexpected way.

Uranus 7H= This is the placement I have for my next SRC, which is very soon! Many people associate this with breakup and tbh why not, Uranus meaning big big changes and sudden ones can actually transform this way. Yet, I am not in a relationship. And Rulers are def something to look at. I def think it means more sudden things happening in your relationships, and unexpected change. Things can change very fast or happen very fast. Ruler of the 7H is in 10H, and being Venus, I don't think it means a break up. Rather, 7H ruler in 10H can be an official and serious relationship. So this can translate either meeting someone and being in a relationship with them quite suddenly or being in a relationship with someone quite unexpectedly.

gonna get it out of the way, the backgrounds are STUNNING, they're amazing! spent a good part of my gameplay just observing them. though there's an issue with the perspective...

mychael is 187cm, tall boi. i think the player would be looking up at mychael bc of this. i mean speaking from my personal height chart and that I'm of average height, he can still neatly fit my head underneath his chin.

which is what makes the perspective of the backgrounds odd. we look up at mychael, and down on the background, which in turn places mychael's shoulder line below the horizon line and makes him appear much smaller than he should be.

this can be solved pretty easily. if you don't want to go through the effort of drawing all the backgrounds again, you can just zoom them in and move the horizon line further down below mychael's shoulder line. test it see if it's worth the effort, but a little adjustment to the perspective makes him all the more intimidating for a big bby

I don't imagine those changes will be added anytime soon, but in my head once the game is fully completed (which will take a while) one of my plans would be to do a remaster where I either improve all the art or hire someone to draw them!

JJK is over? if so, final throughts?

It is over. There was no announcement of continuation as far as I know.

I think my overall rating for it is B.

It has some A and A+ arcs, some B arcs and the last arc is very uneven, mostly D or C with some A moments. The ending is kinda the same.

That doesn't change the fact that i love it deeply and am very attached to a lot of its characters and that is not likely to change anytime soon, it's my second fandom ever and I've never moved on from my first.

I think Gege Akutami is actually a good writer and has potential to be even better if they won't get bitter after JJK and kinda do a proper analysis of what they managed to do well and what not so well.

It's really clear Gege didn't manage to wrangle the plot in the end, didn't manage to explore all their ideas be it for health reasons or because the ideas crystalised too late and well there's no easy editing previous chapters in a weekly published manga...

I don't know how many one shots they've published before the JJK main series, but JJK is their first long form work. It makes a lot of sense that they stumbled in it. People don't fucking get shit right on first try.

I'm sure that JJK's sudden popularity has taken a toll. Especially sudden popularity with people who are not really the audience for a manga where part of the enjoyment comes from trying to dissect the lore and the power system. Or that has concurrent plots it focuses on... like that has anything that requires focus, that might require you to reread the chapter to actually get it, that requires you to keep track of what came before. There are a lot of people who do not enjoy stuff like that. Which is okay... but the JJK fandom is over saturated with them. Also with fucking bigots of all stripes. Or leftists who think that since JJK is not the most left leaning and enlightened work in the world that means the writer deserves death threats and there's nothing worthwhile about the work.

Gege did not stick the landing but that not a big deal tbh, it gave me trauma and brain worms really early on. If it hadn't done that, then yeah the ending would've mattered more. I was also ready for the ending being meh for a while now. There was a turning point when it was clear Gege's passion for JJK dwindled, at least for some parts of it because even in the last part there are moments which Gege really nailed.

Like @/cursedvibes once said that parts of the last arc felt ghost written. The ending kinda feels like that too. Like someone put something together for Gege from Gege's note but kinda missing the themes set up earlier. So like either that or Gege was just sprinting to the finish line, chucking everything away to just run faster.

So like yeah, JJK is a solid B for me. I'm curious to see more from Gege.

so. haven't been around for quite some time, mostly due to my health issues (the usual + muscle aches and joint pains, i'm having a great time), but also in part due to The Situation. it's hard to care about anything with everything that's been going on, it all seems so pointless and meaningless, i'm living in a completely different universe from everyone else here. wish i could be that privileged, but alas. it's also hard being around here, and on other social media platforms for that matter, and seeing the raging antisemitism and sheer hate everywhere. i haven't checked my dash in almost 2 months, haven't checked specific blogs like i used to either, and have no plans on doing so anytime soon. i know what i'll find, i don't want it.

i was gonna stay quiet like i ususally do, especially since i genuinely don't have energy for anything rn, but it's been 2 months and i've been biting my tongue and screaming and crying into my pillow daily and i just need to get some of it out before i implode. there's only so much ignorance and hate that one person can take before snapping, so. here i am.

but if Taylor cheated on Joe and in April she was full on talking with Matty...why would she be so upset on stage, crying and all? (Plus all the other petty antics) Like you would think maybe she would be already detached. Although I do have to say that after hearing her sing countless times about how hard it would be if he left her etc etc it's quite impressive how in six months this is already her second guy. Like call me innocent but this was her longest relationship by a mile and she seems to be moving like he might as well be buried and death in her mind. also for how long do you think Joe was checked out? I see a lot of people saying she wasn't doing well in fall 2021, but I feel like if it had to do with him they made it up. Maybe the problems ressurfaced, but I don't think they were on the rocks since then. According to the things we saw and know, I would say the real troubles must have started around Midnights release time and it got worse after that. So I think the last 6 months were the breaking point. Also on Twitter someone dug up two tweets from last october from people who said Taylor and Matty were together at a Halloween party 🤐 there wasn't any talk about them from back then so...it's sus.

The root of the breakup is quite simple to me though. They met during a time when Taylor needed privacy and peace and that worked for a long time...until the pandemic where I think she started to realize how much she actually likes being famous, being on stage and how much she missed that. After the pandemic, I think Joe slowly started to drop the illusions she was going to be this low key person forever. I don't think he didn't want to marry her, I think he was having doubts if she was the right person and if she actually was ready for that commitement and maybe to prioritize more a future family than her career. But we all know that ain't gonna happen anytime soon. Like see how she planned this tour and for how long it's going to go. Plus re-recordings and her movie...and I'm guessing she just wanted more limelight again being more confident and all. The thing is his perspective on it didn't seem to change like hers did. And I might be wrong but I always felt like by the way she reacted from april onwards, he was that broke up with her and not the other way around like we were told 🤷

I personally don’t attach much stock to Taylor’s personal life from her professional life. She definitely addresses the people in her life from the stage (as we’ve been discussing) like she picks songs based on friends there and she pulls unhinged ass antics when Joe/Matty/whoever is there but I really don’t believe she’s like breaking down publicly tbh ever. She’s a seasoned performer. So my vibe would be that’s how she chose to perform the songs and maybe she did want the audience to see she was Joever.

and as I’ve said I tend to think she was genuinely the one who broke up with him but maybe he did actually do it idk either way whoever did it did the other one a favor.

1: Why do they wear diapers? (comfort? necessity?) Rory: Mostly necessity! Especially if he's out hanging around the barn/his sheep, when he's baby he does not register the need to go to the bathroom until its like "I gotta go NOW"

Ward: Comfort/security! With the very rare exception of if he's sick, he almost never ACTUALLY needs them, However esp if he's on his lower range or feeling more unsure/worried abt being annoying, they're a comfort for him bc they just make his brain feel reassured that it's okay to need a little extra

2: When did they start wearing diapers? Rory: Pretty early on in his regression! Especially since he goes so young, he kinda over-prepared for things he thought maybe he'd need, and discovered pretty soon that diaps were one of them! learning how to use them was a trial though ough

Ward: Probably shortly after the mission/5yr mission started (so i would say probably roughly abt a year ago)! originally it started out as just a way of seeing if they would help his bedtime anxiety when regressed, but one day he was feeling just. really bad and he flopped on the couch and was super embarrassed but asked if he could maybe change into one

9: What’s their Dream Diaper? Rory: He really wants one that has like a little red farmhouse and animals on it, but the animals go away as like the change indicators its like "oop! animals gone, gotta go change!"

Ward: He's still kinda too embarrassed to consider a dream one, but a weather themed set would be neat to him! Probably something more along the lines of training pants than like full on diaps

Ward: Nope! But that's bc whenever he's regressed and been in the mood to wear smth, they're already in either his quarters or Bones', so they just stock a few in both places. Plus, the replicators can make them :P

CW: Talk about miscarriages, death during childbirth, debilitating deformities, & for the use of mother? It's not really gendered, but still. And a complete lack of actual science.

I also doubt children could even happen without special preparations being made considering he hatched from an egg, so there's no worry about illegitimate heirs either even if the prefect is fertile.

It might've been possible with just a few super rare potions and spells if Malleus was the "mother" maybe, but I don't think any human is turning their ovaries into literal dragon eggs anytime soon.

I know there's Sebek and all, but his mother is the fae so even if she produced eggs as well I kinda feel like sperm is sperm. Technically it's still viable even after death for a very short period of time, so a one time change could possibly work imo.

Meanwhile the mother's body goes through massive changes, some being permanent, and has to deal with it for nearly a year.

So if spells and etc. really were needed you'd most likely have to keep using them on the human mother in order to keep those changes imo.

I also feel like all that magic would be insanely taxing on the mother's body even if no spells or potions were necessary, especially if they were magicless like the prefect.

To the point of becoming seriously ill, possibly causing a miscarriage, or even drastically increasing the chance of death during childbirth for both the mother and the child.

There's also the possibility of going through all that, almost dying, and then still having the egg equivalent of a stillborn baby or never developing vital organs.

Childbirth is incredibly complicated and dangerous for humans, there's just so many ways it could go wrong even if it technically works well enough to take. Even between two humans with modern medicine irl.

That being said, I don't think it's a given that all human/fae relations would be that difficult. Like if Lilia really is a bat fae I could see that working with about the same difficulty level of difficulty as with a beastman.

And I don't think beastmen would really have any serious difficulties breeding with humans, regardless of their role tbh.

I do feel the same way about interbreeding with mer though.

Even if they are viviparous like some sharks, who even develop a sort of placental connection, there's a huge amount of things that could go wrong. (I do think they are personally, since they seem to be somewhere in-between fish and mammals.)

Like even if the sperm takes what if you get what's basically a human but with gills? So they can't live on land without potions but struggle to actually survive underwater. Like skin sloughing off and everything from staying too wet. And that's on the easier to deal with side.

If anyone has ever played (mild semi-spoiler warning for a companion) Pathfinder WOTR, but Lann talking about his mother consistently giving birth to children who couldn't make past their first birthday, or literally came out in pieces, is what I'm thinking of talking about the things that could go wrong.

Like I believe a lot of disabilities that could result from this could be more than livable and I'm 100% against thinking disabled children are a blight or etc, I'm disabled myself, but if you know there's like an 70% chance for ex of you and/or your child dying and an even higher chance of them being born with a very malformed respiratory system at bare minimum...

It's going to be heartbreaking at the very least.

Also for Malleus there's the whole 100s of years to even grow up thing. Even if their lifespan is halved or quartered and the human parent's is extended there's a good chance they'll die of old age before their child reaches adulthood.

I'm curious about Sebek and his mother's lifespan too, because crocodiles irl almost never die of old age. So you'd think croc fae would be one of the very long lived species, but maybe it's more about their connection to magic?

I feel like it's heavily implied, if not outright said maybe?, that Sebek grew up alongside Silver so who knows how that works. It's entirely possible that they mature similarly to humans and then have their prime extended?

But anyway, that's not to say people should stop making fluffy content about Malleus or the octatrio becoming parents at all, I just think that personally it's a lot more interesting and heartfelt if the idea of difficulties were at least acknowledged.

Outrageous, how do they react when you get yourself into trouble? Do they bail you out or are you on your own? Do they expect you to get them out of trouble?

Malleus is typically content to sit back observe as the shorter lived species get themselves into mortal peril.

He ignores even those he is fond of, as both Lilia and his grandmother have told him many tales of what happens to the fae who become overly attached.*

"Learn from Lady Maleficent's tale, lest you be doomed to repeat it." They would say.

"Your great-grandmother did naught but bless the Lord's child even after they so cruelly ostracized her out of fear and jealousy, and yet the humans repaid her with violence for daring to grace the kingdom she so gracefully allowed them with her presence."

"Enjoy it for as long as it may last if you must. Do not interfere with their fates, or they shall soon take your presence for granted. The lesser races quickly become dependent on our magic, you see."

"The once grateful masses always begin refusing to work and place the blame of their own actions on the generous fae who deigned to help them in the first place. I would loathe to see you go through the same heartbreak and betrayal many others of our kind have faced, my beloved child."

Malleus hears this and understands it very well, but what if he wanted you to become dependent on him? Surely it wouldn't be that much of a problem he thinks.

You have no family here, only that beast of yours. And your "friends," as they love to title themselves as such, are inconsequential at best if they dare to fight for your hand. All of them easily overpowered by his personal guards alone.

Yes, he rather likes the sound of that. He'll just have to ensure your love never strays nor flickers. Not that he would've deigned to bless you with his devotion if he thought you to be that fickle, but he is aware how even the passage of time itself can cause humans to waver.

As for saving him in return? Well, what a delightful little joke that is. Don't you worry your pretty little head about it, all he needs from you is your affection and obedience.

Emergency, what would they do if you needed them? Do they drop everything? Do they panic? What do they do if they need you?

Now, if it was something truly dangerous Malleus goes absolutely berserk. The sky is alight with lightning in an instant and every candle turns into a roaring green flame.

He doesn't lose sight of what's important, he'd never ignore your wellbeing to exact revenge, but his reputation and any possible ramifications for his country do fall to the wayside.

Malleus does absolutely everything in his power to keep you safe, even before you're truly in danger.

He specializes in protective magics for a reason after all. As much as he tries to prevent himself from becoming attached he's terrified of losing those he cares about.

You're most likely smothered in protective jewelries and blessings long before you made your relationship official, whether you know it or not.

Your dwelling, whether that be Ramshackle or someplace else, is absolutely covered in protective magics as well.

He'd most likely even prevent anyone but himself, Lilia, and your pet from coming inside Ramshackle if he thought you'd let him get away with it.

If someone dared to attempt an attack or kidnapping of any kind in his homeland and Malleus is unable to kill catch them immediately he is absolutely taking full advantage of his status.

Within hours there is a mass notice of treason. Anyone who is seen to helping the perpetrator will be executed along with them, and anyone who can bring them alive for unbearable torture questioning and then a very gruesome public execution will be rewarded handsomely.

As much as he'd love to hunt them done himself nothing is more important than keeping you safe, and no one is more suited for the task than him.

If he has to put you to sleep in order to carry you around every waking minute of the day until they're brought to justice? Well, that's a "burden" he'd love to bear.

Afterwards, when he's completely sure of your safety he'll be double all of his security measures for you at the absolute minimum. You can say goodbye to what little freedom you had, permanently.

Unless you're both incredibly lucky and cunning enough to talk your way out of it as well as incredibly obedient, with no hesitation or hidden resentment, the only way you'll ever be out of tower again is if Malleus is right there next to you.

Love potion, you’ve accidentally drank a love potion that causes you to feel like you’re dying if they don’t touch you. What is their reaction?

He's simultaneously ecstatic that your love transferred this curse to him and absolutely furious at the thought that you could've been feeling this way with someone else.

Malleus is a fae on a mission, carrying you around shamelessly as he seeks end this curse and the one who used it on you, purposefully or not.

Plead with him desperately enough and you'll be able to have all of his adoration to yourself as he sends his guards to capture the criminal for execution trial.

Rest assured that he'll see the perpetrator expelled and punished to the full extent of the law since he's unable act as he would truly wish to outside of his kingdom.

He'll use this as an excuse to take up even more of your time and enact even more protective measures, but surely you understand this is for your own good right?

Bargain, would they just accept a break-up? Do they mope around or try to fix things? How would they attempt to get you back?

Absolutely not. Under no circumstances would he ever accept this.

Rather, even if he abhorred you Malleus would still keep you bound to him.

He can't bring himself to let another person close to him go, even if he has cradle your eternally sleeping body in order to pretend you still loved him.

He won't allow natural causes to take you from him either. Malleus would use every bit of ancient and forbidden magic he had access to in order to extend your lifespan and fight off diseases.

Even if it meant shortening his own in order to do so.

It's "until death do us part" for the both of you, and he has zero intentions of letting you die.

Undo, how do they attempt to be forgiven for making you upset? What do you need to do after making them upset to get their forgiveness?

Political niceties come fairly easy to him by now, even when a certain second-born tries patience, but Malleus is actually terrible at sincere apologies. Almost terrible enough to put said lion to shame.

It's not that he doesn't want to make amends or that he thinks you don't deserve one, but yandere Malleus is especially entitled and out of touch.

He is very much unused to having to explain himself to anyone other than his grandmother (the literal Queen) and, with increasing rarity as the years go by, Lilia. It explains quite a bit about his (bad) behavior, doesn't it?

Malleus refuses to apologize for doing what he must to keep you safe, but he will make amends in his own way.

He hates to see you in pain, but no tantrum of yours could compare to the pain he'd feel if he lost you prematurely.

He'll hold you ever so gently on his lap, drying your tears, as he kindly explains to you exactly why he's decided to take those actions and feeds you your favorite foods by hand.

Just like his grandmother used after some particularly harsh punishments.

Well, the handfeeding and humming you to sleep afterwards is his own touch, but Malleus can't help but want to spoil his beloved so he does hope that you appreciate it.

Sorry the love potion prompt was a bit brief, but even as a separate character I can't see yandere!Malleus actually going full yandere unless you genuinely loved him and still at least enable him after he's shown his true colors.

Tbh I can't even see him seeking out a romantic relationship unless you make it very clear you're interested while also respecting his position and not pushing it. I think it'd have to kind of sneak up on him until he's willing to go against his duty.

I do think the fandom drastically overstates the importance of Malleus having a lover though.

Both in that they could never have any power at all even if they were a mage, but also in that simply being in a relationship means almost nothing when the queen is said to be soft on him and still holding the throne until he's ready.

The prefect has 90 years at absolute max with Malleus even if he stayed completely faithful until they died of old age.

Meanwhile Malleus is literally several hundred years old at minimum (thanks to new info from chap.7) and he's just barely reached young adulthood, As in it took him that entire time to mature.

A century is barely more than the equivalent of a summer fling for a dragon fae. Even if he was expected to take the throne immediately after returning I doubt they'd force him into a political marriage instantly anyway.

I also doubt children could even happen without special preparations being made considering he canonically hatched from an egg, so there's no worry about illegitimate heirs either even if the prefect is semi-reproductively compatible.

I know there's Sebek and all, but his mother is the fae so even if she produced eggs as well I feel like it's significantly easier that way. But I'll spare y'all from autistic rants about fantasy reproduction.

*Okay, so I know this doesn't line up perfectly with popular fanon for Malleus and Lilia, but if you read Malleus' lines for lessons & etc he's actually really arrogant and can be just as "racist" as Sebek.

More than Sebek really, considering a lot of Sebek's hang ups are obviously him projecting and distancing himself from his heritage and the prejudice he would've faced.

I definitely don't think he's actively disgusted by humans, but I do think he is at least a little prejudiced and most likely looks down on them. Like almost somewhere inbetween how you'd treat a child and a particularly loved pet.

I've got a ton I wanna say about Lilia, but I'll spare y'all until I post his hcs.

Also I don't think I'll do Scarlet/Violet simply because by the time they'll be done with the others they will be like. 21 years old lmao)

Akari's story and the UTMV plotline are separate, but also intertwined, so you'll see like. Fuckin easter eggs or something between the two

I have made a whole new fan region just for this project!! Am I gonna show it off now? Absolutely not I only have notes written down at the moment and it isn't gonna show up for a while

I will say that it's based on Italy though. And that the Professor there is a bit funky with their...studies, but. Aren't we all??

Whilst Akari won't go to Paldea, some other characters will have come from there. Mainly UTMV characters (like, Cross for example)

The storylines on Akari's end are gonna be a bit skewed from canon. Some characters are gonna have monster ancestry, for example (Hugh has already been explicitly said to be part monster in Midsummer, for example), and their choices throughout their whole journey, as well as their memories from their past world that get unlocked as time passes, may cause things to be a little...Off

This could be dialogue changes, for instance, or even their relationships with others being affected

I didn't finish ORAS beyond the Team Aqua/Magma storyline. I don't plan on finishing the game anytime soon either. Don't expect Akari to go much further than saving the world whilst in Hoenn

As of writing this up, I also only got PLA last month, and I'm still stuck on Lord Electrode. So, the beginning of Akari's story isn't done yet. I'm also replaying Platinum for the story and, well. We all know that will take a while.

The rest of the games I own have been 100% completed, hence why I started Midsummer

Also just a disclaimer that I know that Tom is kinda the villain in the show and shows signs that he could be very abusive in a long-term relationship, but as a mental health patient myself, I know that such people can change, can become better. They just have to realise it themselves that their behavior isn't right, and right kind of friends, therapists and the general support net around them is a big help in order to become better people after realising they need to change.

I, myself, wasn't a very nice person when I was younger. I kinda saw the younger me in some parts of Tom when I watched the series and I definitely don't think I'm the same person anymore who I was when I was 18-23. I feel like Tom could become a better person too if he only got help. He wasn't a lost cause, he wasn't his father. He was abused and broken, despite being a dick at almost everyone for most of the series.

The date night at Tom's parents hadn't been a good idea from the start, but Tom hadn't wanted to say no to his mum, and you didn't know how dire the situation was at his home. So the dinner had been a disaster, to say at least.

Tom and his father had gotten in the middle of a fight, and it hadn't been far from throwing punches. If you hadn't dragged Tom out of the house, and asked him to drive you home, he could have ended up with a black eye and bleeding nose.

"I know the dinner didn't go as good as it could have," Tom sighed, leaning back against the backrest inside his car as you had just arrived to your house. "Even watching this beats it."

You laughed, turning your gaze to the front, seeing the muddy yard. "That's true."

Tom smiled when he heard you laugh. It illuminated the whole car, and made him forget about all the bad in the world.

"You're beautiful when you laugh." he muttered suddenly, and you looked up at him in surprise. "You should laugh more often."

"Oh?" You said after a moment, and immediately after you felt how you were blushing at Tom's words, laying your gaze to your lap with a shy smile. "Thanks."

He watched you for a moment longer, with a soft smile on his lips until he sighed and started the car again. "Good night, Y/N."

You blinked at him before biting your lip. "Actually... I thought to ask you, um, if you want to stay over? I have a couch which can be spread into a bed. Your father seemed really angry, I don't want you to get beaten up when you get back home."

Tom stared at you for a second, almost not believing what you just said. You had known each other for just a few weeks, and you had come across as a little bit shy and careful with who to spend time with. If Tom had read the signs right, you had had bad luck with men before - and he wasn't exactly a dream boyfriend either. Impulsive and troubled - stealing stuff too. Dated people before mainly for money, you were the first person he actually cared about more. He was kind of afraid that his faults could drive you away, what if he'd hit you one day? What if he'd turn out just like his father? He had been told once that a lot of people who come from abusive families might turn out to be abusive themselves in certain relationships especially if their partner is too kind, and with you, he was afraid of it for the very first time.

And you knew about his troubles. About his father. How his childhood had been like. You had seen parts of his impulsivity, even when he hadn't lashed out on you, at least not yet. But now, you were inviting him over to stay the night. He wasn't used to people being that nice to him, and so he hesitated for a moment, searching your face for any hesitation of your own. He had just yelled at his father, probably had spooked you too. The last thing he wanted on that moment was for you to be afraid of him.

"Are you sure?" Tom asked after a moment, and you nodded with a small smile.

"Yes. Please stay the night, I could sleep better too if I knew you're safe."

Tom gave you a soft smile before nodding once, driving a little bit forward to park the car in front of the door.

"I'll make us something to eat, the dinner got interrupted anyway," you said, stepping out of the car, and Tom followed you inside your house. You gestured at your clothing rack. "You can put your coat here. I think I have some pasta in the fridge from yesterday, is that okay? And we can watch a movie or something."

Tom nodded. "Sounds perfect."

After you both took off your coats, you went to the kitchen, while Tom stayed behind in the living room, sitting down on the couch. A couple of minutes later, you came back with two plates filled with pasta, having added some herbs on the top, and sat down next to him, putting a plate in front of Tom.

"I have a few streaming services, do you want to pick which one?" You asked, taking a spoonful of your pasta and chewing it happily.

"Can we watch something funny?" Tom asked. "I could use a laugh after that dinner."

You chuckled, nodding and putting one of the comedies on the roll. You watched it, quietly eating your pasta and started another one too, but suddenly halfway through the movie, Tom noticed you having fallen to sleep against his shoulder. It had been an exhausting day, so he didn't wonder why. He reached out to snatch a throw blanket from the armrest and covered you up.

Tom thought for a moment, but then pressed a light kiss on the top of your head, smiling when you snuggled closer to him and hummed, but didn't wake up. He put the movie away, quietly kicking off his shoes. He found another throw blanket behind him and wrapped it around himself. Then he tried to make himself as comfortable as he could, sleeping while sitting, but at the same time he was incredibly happy that you trusted him enough to feel comfortable being so close to him.

"Sleep well, Y/N." Tom murmured, closing his eyes and falling asleep soon after.

I have a confession: I’m almost 30 and I’ve only had 2 partners (yes, that kind of partner) and no serious relationships. I feel like I’m… not broken, but a bit behind in things if that makes sense.

I think people go at different speeds and because the ones who have the most experience tend to also be the loudest you get a bit of a false sense of what's 'normal'. I definitely feel that way a lot too though, I'm 23 and have had 1 so not that different and tbh don't see that changing anytime soon either. Try not to feel like it's something weird cause it really is more common than it seems

I love your recs so much! I was wondering if you would ever consider indicating the top/bottom status of Drarry in the fics you've read (if you remember what it was that is) like Capitu used to? It was so useful for a poor soul like me who can only truly enjoy it one way. I would totally understand if that would be to much work or if you simply don't have any interest in doing so though. Alternatively, would you know anyone who would provide such info on recs? Thanks a lot either way! <3

Hello anon! I politely decline your request for 2 reasons: lack of time and lack of interest. Top/bottom dynamics is not something I keep track of when I’m reading fic, and tbh I don’t see that changing anytime soon. I do understand that everyone’s got their preferences and that’s why I did specific reclists for both bottom Harry and bottom Draco, but I don’t plan on going further than that and start tagging t/b dynamics on my reclists. Not only it would take me a lot of time and effort to do so, but I don’t see it as relevant information that needs to be included on a rec. Thanks for understanding!

Unfortunately I don’t know of any other reccers besides Capitu who will typically mention this on their recs - but @drarryspecificrecs did a compilation for bottom Harry and bottom Draco reclists, I suggest maybe checking those blogs? Let’s see if my followers can help :)
