RWBY Rework Yang Xiao Long

yang is a very difficult design (but Blake is proving to be harder) mainly because from the get go she's been an afterthought (Monty himself admitted it) and I think that's come though in every design she's had since. The designers are always putting her in this ugly golden brown or a tan color s she doesn't get lost in her hair but it ends up covering him in brown instead of yellow. Her volume 2 looks was her best because the yellow accents really popped and it made her hair the biggest bit of yellow on her sort of like Ruby's cape being her red.

I wanted to incorporate her volume two black and yellow to keep her outfit from blending into her hair a bit. I think the yellows I picked might be too close, in the future I might make them lighter and more tan. I think the biggest deviation I did was making her eyes red. Honestly, I did it because in my rewrite I did the most controversial thing by rearranging the partners of some teams. Ruby and Yang are partners in this and Blake and Weiss are partners. Trust me it's fo a good reason. I wanted Yang to visually have a connection to Ruby and I think red eyes is the best way. Also, while purple is yellows complimentary color I think yellow and red sells the fire aesthetic and hotheaded nature of Yang better than a cooler color like purple that is better suited for Blake and Weiss.

Minor thing, her undershirt is black I realized a bit ago it kind of looks like the sleeves of her jacket/vest

I mostly kept her character the same, with more emphasis on her dynamic with Ruby and emotional turmoil. I'll get into that later don't feel like writing up an entire character post rn lmao

Hi! I just wanted to say I find your posts and subliminals really helpful and I was hoping I could ask a question/ask for some advice if that's okay! If this question isn't something you're okay with answering I totally understand! Also, I'm sorry it's such a long ask! I have some trouble with persisting and accepting my 4D over my 3D (because I really want to experience my desires in the 3D and I'm extremely impatient). I've been trying to properly apply LOA for the past 4 years (I've wanted to shift, but my main thing now is I want to manifest my DR s/o into my 3D, I also have OCD and personally it makes me constantly doubt my abilities and I deal with a lot of intrusive thoughts and worry about manifesting things I don’t want, but I'm working on changing my mindset around that the best I can rn).

Whenever I try to affirm I always feel doubtful and constantly look to the 3D, I also have trouble believing it's possible (even though I know we're limitless and can manifest anything) because my s/o is a character trom a game l used to play (embarrassing ik).

Anyways, my big thing is I just keep doubting (and then just focusing on that and lack all the time or trying to figure out ways to get what I want in the 3D), saying it'll happen sometime, and then keep myself waiting. I really don't want to give up because I know it's possible, but I do find myself struggling quite a bit. If you have any advice or things I could try l'd appreciate it! I hope you're doing well and that this is an okay question to ask!!

You can't give up even if you wanted to.

The thing most people don't realize is that we are manifesting every second of every day. Every thought you have can lead to an outcome whether favorable or not as long as that thought gets enough time to ruminate (and no, before everyone freaks out, intrusive thoughts don't manifest! We've already talked about this!)

So why wouldn't you want your thoughts to manifest into something you actually want?

Giving up is not an option because you're only manifesting a reality in which you don't get your desires. The opposite outcome, the one you really want, takes a bit more focus. You have been programed to believe in certain things. The possible vs the impossible. The realistic vs the delusional. And so you walk around with a set of predetermined beliefs running in the back of your mind, controlling your reality for you.

You need to take that control back. Go back to the basics. Forget everything you think you know about loa and shifting and the 3d vs 4d... Throw it all behind and start fresh. Take a couple of days to really grasp the concepts. Take what you need, what feels right, what makes sense, and start applying it. Throw away everything else and stick to what you can handle.

Reality is what you make of it. If robotic affirmations are draining you, switch them with subliminals. If visualizing is not your thing, start scripting. If meditation sucks, create playlists instead. Do whatever makes you feel alive so you can build the momentum and believe in your own power.

As for doubt, it'll only go away when you prove to yourself that you are a master manifestor. So start manifesting.

I like Tae’s vibe. I actually like the New jeans approach of multiple low budget MVs instead of 1 big bang cause it increases more revenue without triggering the hyper competitive K-pop space.

and this suits Tae, something about him just gives off not interested in the K-pop space. In fact, the only member I think who actually respects K-pop is probably Jimin. I judge this based on the artists they look up to. Jhope & RM like Jcole & Nas, American rappers. Forgot who Suga likes. Tae looks up to older jazz artists. JK likes American pop artists and Jimin likes Big Bang & independent artist. Idk about Jin honestly.

I’ve listened to Jimin’s playlist on AM: Springtime sounds and none of these songs are big title tracks/ singles. These are low key artists singing about their lives and loves. Jimin listens to Alec Benjamin, a guy with a great voice, small but loyal following and purposefully left the music industry behind after making a breakout hit so he could sing about his stories. My flex is that Jimin and I listen to the same type of music.

Went off on a tangent but my point is: These guys obviously have different views as to what a successful artist is. And they are all following that path. I think for Jimin a successful artist is producing good music for loyal fans rather than a general audience. I could be wrong of course. If so, Like Crazy’s success would be heartwarming as everyone and their mama knows that it’s carried by fans sharing & streaming.

The funny thing with Jimin though is that even if he tried to be a low key artist he couldn’t. Yes he does his own thing, sings about his story, doesn’t get major airplay and is listened mainly by a loyal fanbase who lives him and shares his music.

However his loyal fanbase is hugeee, so by virtue of that he’s left the lowkey artist category and also the K-pop category behind. What you mean you wanna release your long awaited album as an mp3?

Thinking about that sometimes makes me laugh. Jimin just wanna be lowkey, regular K-pop male artist singing his tunes then boom #1 on hot 100, Ryan Gosling giving him a guitar, song going platinum in the states(I’m calling it), fans demanding to buy his song. He’s non existent on socials rn and still trending

To be honest i kind of find Jimin fans funny. He said in Suchwita he wants to top billboard continuously. And everyone kinda knew he meant as BTS but his fans said “oh YOU want it? Here you go baby have a #1 on hot 100”. Making it look like it’s easy. Lol I’m sure Jimin knows his fans have plans for him.

They keeping him in the top 50 global just cause and I don’t think they gonna stop. Right now they have a goal to rechart LC also just cause and I’m interested to see how things unfold.

Ok, this is the only ask I will answer regarding Tae's music so don't come sending more, please!

I don't want to answer Tae music stuff, other anons!

But I'll answer this one because I appreciate that you took time to share all this.

First question. Our opinions vary greatly.

I think with how competitive kpop is, you need that big trigger, especially if it's a debut album. Tae needed to risk it but didn't. For me, this all feels safe although it wasn't intended to come across that way.

I think that his visual album should have been released all at once. I know this way is done to create anticipation but I haven't been pulled into his story yet. Maybe that will change once the 3rd mv is released or his photos tie more stuff together?

It's interesting that you find the aesthetic fitting because I don't lol I do agree that Tae is not kpop at all but this album concept feels off to me. Like it's fabricated and doesn't show the real Tae. I feel like his fans would appreciate that. Perhaps the concepts worked for New Jeans since it's quirky cute. And I remember writing a few weeks ago how Tae had changed his style and if that was reflective of what he would show in his upcoming album. And we are seeing change but not in any sort of direction. I don't see the essence of Tae in this. Or his new style.

I like to see the essence of the artist even in their on-stage personas. I'm not seeing it here.

But maybe this is just me being intense as usual.

Second question. Jimin. I do agree that Jimin tries to tell stories through his songs and he does that beautifully. Even if his songs differ greatly, like Promise and Set Me Free pt.2, they both have that air of Jimin in it. But I'm not being biased, I'm not a fan of both.

I do think the pandemic caused the change in direction of Jimin's artistry. But I hope that he has seen the reception, BB charts and worldwide records, and sees that his music is meant for a wider audience even if the stories are personal to him. We can see that FACE was his struggle and rebirth so I'm looking forward to his next album, which he said was going to more upbeat.

With the right team and tools, his songs can achieve greater success. It is heartwarming that Jimin lovers are still carrying his song still. It's our token of love and appreciation but I hope that the his next project has the company support he deserves added to the fan support he has rightfully earned.

Hopefully we get to see this soon enough.

Update!

Waywards Progress:

Made a bit of progress with one of the character prologues (has been/will be shared, but the prologues are honestly more just for me to get a better idea of writing the characters on their own before dumping them into the story ('^.^)b) Also I have the overall outline vaguely set. It's workable for now, but not sure I'm 100% happy with it. Also have a handful of ideas rattling around in that hollow brain of mine! I have the idea of making Waywards a bit "episodic" so to speak. Gonna play around and experiment with the idea a bit to see if it actually works. Besides that! If anyone has tips, tricks, advice on story structures / planning writing I am all ears! I'm way too use to just going mostly full freeform with writing stories so planning things is proving a bit of a hurdle rn (0^0). Waywards is probably the largest thing I've started to write so I'm a little worried I'll burn a lot of time and energy focusing on somethings that may just end up not fitting later on story wise... ('0.0)

What is a Meta-Human?

A Meta-Human, usually just shortened to "Meta", is simply anyone who has some form of artificially engineered genetics above a certain threshold [haven't quite decided exactly where the line will be and not sure I will tbh].

With breakthroughs in genetic engineered by corporations such as Biotechna and Helix, control over one's genetics can go as far as their wallet can take them. What kind of things could be done these kinds of augs you may ask? Firstly, most diseases and genetic disorders have effectively become curable (no promises it'll be affordable, so most people don't have access). Next, cloning! It can be done, although is still in more of pioneering phase during the time period Waywards is set in and is prone to various setbacks. Usually anyone born via any cloning or "built from scratch" process are technically considered corporate property... Want a designer baby? Trivial!

Although more intresting, at least visually, is people can now adopt some unique characteristics. One could grow a tail, pointed ears, gain inhuman strength, even completely alter skin into scales. The only real limitation is money, imagination, and the outer limits of genetic stability. A generation has gone by since the technologies have become available and now some features have proven to be inheritable. This fact coupled with some ‘back alley’ genetic engineering lead to a small population boom of Metas. While still a minority of the population there are now extremely diverse communities of Metas across the city.

Ah, are you familiar with the term "satellite character"? Characters who have their personalities or motives mostly dictated by or based on who they're being written around. (They're not inherently bad characters; far from it if the dynamics they have are solid, but you'd be hard-pressed to find plots where they function as their own character, and it being done enough to be considered a subsection.) For a character who states he wants to branch out and grow, this hurts progression on Tails' end when he's glued to Sonic constantly.

I have seen some talks to whether we might get a bit of a timeskip after Frontiers. (And not in a "it's been 6 weeks since then" throwaway, but something more 'visual' to mark a new era going forward.) All depends on how the next main 3d title goes.

Heh, at least we have Tailstube for now. Maybe one of these days we could get an animated miniseries/shorts with him as the main.

Yeah, I've come across it. I usually don't have a problem with gore, but rn probably not in the best mindspace for it, maybe sometime later.

I lowkey even think Tails got too much development too soon, sa2 made him act super competent, so that in Heroes when he goes back to being more of a little kid character it already feels wrong, but I wish we got more of Tails with this characterization before he got as mature as he is now, and him not being super independent wouldn't come off as weird and/or unsatisfying (not to say that he's super mature now but it reads more like preteen immature rather than little kid immature, if you get me).

(Also maybe a little bit of an unpopular opinion moment, but I don't think his arc in sa1 was about independence necessarily, at least not the same way as Frontiers. In sa1 it's more like Tails proving to himself that he can handle himself and doesn't need Sonic to constantly hold his hand; while in Frontiers it's more like. Tails knows that he should be able to handle himself at this point, but is disappointed in himself because he feels like he still ends up falling back on Sonic. Sonic tells him it's fine, but he still desides to go off by himself, I guess because then he wouldn't be tempted to fall back on Sonic? (This is the only thing I'm a little confused on, because Sonic is like "It's ok to ask for help", and Tails is like "Thanks! Now I'm going on a journey where I'm gonna do everything by myself") One plot follows the other. It's still a little circle-y, but eeehh it works)

Speaking of timeskip, you cannot convince me that sa1 Tails and Frontiers Tails are the same person at the same age. It just doesn't feel right. He's clearly older. On the other hand... I personally don't think there'll be an official timeskip. At least not drastically obvious in a visual way, probably. It's been over 20 years with these designs, and we remember how it went with Boom (there's probably still green eye discourse somewhere out there). Maybe we'll get new character models though? (Maybe they'll bring back Tails's mullet haha? Haven't seen that since Zero Gravity. Hair growth is a good way to show the passage of time djdndnd) Though maybe they wanna risk it, who knows.

Oh yeah TailsTube! It's super cute and Tails is the perfect character to host it. I don't know if I would want a whole Tails-centric series, but a some shorts? I would love it. Also I just now realized that the guests on TailsTube were all the main characters (Sonic, Eggman (sorta), Knuckles and Amy), I wonder if we'd get Shadow and/or Rouge next. (It's a great opportunity for Tails to interact with the characters he usually doesn't!)

The tinygoro AU starts during the Okomura arc, but like, at the very start. Mona is still on the run with Haru and all.

Crow was in Mementos, searching for his next target for Shido. However, he suddenly heard the Phantom Thieves on the floor right above him and kinda panicked. (Yk the scene where Haru and Monacar run away from the PT because...because.) He's very confused but what he does understand is that he needs to stay away as much as possible. However, he rushed away so fast he didn't really pay attention to all the shadows that detected him on his way down. One of said shadow then proceeded to turn him tiny (Don't ask which shadow I uh. Don't know.).

At first he simply wanted to wait for the effect to fade away, but then he realised it didn't get better at all. He started making his way up, realising the Phantom Thieves had left. But uh. Back to the real world, he realises he's still tiny and his case is too big for him to carry (for obvious reasons).

The people he can reach out to rn are Sae and Ren. That's literally the only two people who he trusts to a certain degree. He quickly realises that getting Sae's address will prove itself to be...a difficult task. And he's in yongen jaya right now anyways. So...

He knocks at Leblanc and asks for help-

From then on I have a whole bunch of random things about how Ren, tinygoro AND Mona manage to live together. For example, Ren makes mini lego houses for tinygoro and puts them on the shelves (that idea comes from my gf!!!).

Ren sometimes brings tinygoro to Shujin in his jacket's pocket! But that can get quite scary for Goro, so they don't do it too often.

Mona actually keeps the secret from the rest of the team, so congrats, and Futaba stopped watching the cameras and has no clue.

Some slight changes to Moxie's story since I've last sent an ask, Moxie's beta has their own universe! Moxie The infinite (that's also a new thing) and Moxie, The Rebel Aristocrat are two separate entities now. The Moxie I am writing for is "The infinite" Aka newer draft. Moxie, The Rebel aristocrat, is the word where paint is outlawed and their system is so fucking broken that even the rich fucker's kids are being treated less then human beings. It's a nice narrative on the views of a 1% in a broken system, where even in 1% have a 1%. Probably controversial, but problematic is more interesting then perfect. They are also a She, a Lesbian, and has 8 whole bitches in a polycule. Good for them. I finally figured out *How* Moxie's world is supposed to work without being broken! I also have a hook now. Ahem, Moxie is a painter in a dreary, fog filled world. The world is based in perspective, and melds to that perspective. The common leading theory that shapes the globe is that with scientific basis, intent can amplify what is already scientifically proven to happen. What moxie finds when their entire world view shatters from the DNA-vial, is that when nothing is founded then anything is possible. A child learns that the world has gravity because that's what it's parents teach it, the child knows science from watching their parents prove it. Before they mastered intent, they already have limitations set by society based on that society's rules. When Moxie is met with a scientific phenomenon that has no historical replica or research backing, there was nothing to base the perspective of logic on. Therefore, the infinite opened. The infinite is a pocket dimension that opens up when Moxie shifts colors, because their world works on a basis of perspective, the first time they ever color-shifted, they thought that they were merging with objects instead of changing pigments. Therefore, because there is only one perspective in the unexplainable phenomenon, it had to follow that belief, and the infinite spawned as where they went when they "merged." During the course where Hobie is stranded in their world, they believe that the infinite is just a empty space that shifts colors like them, where they can only see the things that they've painted. When they are moving to London after Hobie leaves, so that they can go be with their family full-time (but they keep their found one because they can teleport across countries in micro-seconds because of the infinite, they are also a graffiti artist) they were collecting paintings from their studio and transferring them over the distance. They saw the willow painting was really far away from the rest, and entered it so that they can see where it is. Turns out, Hobie nabbed it. Because they are able another dimension, then the infinite (In their mind) couldn't be a pocket dimension, but a building block of reality. Now, they can literally go anywhere in the multiverse because all of the multiverse uses the fabric of reality. You can't prove it wrong, when it works on your perspective and you believe it. This also has visual changes, they can see into other dimensions without being there, and go anywhere they can conceptualize instead of being familiar with. Think spot 2.0, without the murder grudge. Moxie has self-labeled themselves as Hobie's protector. The hulk is Moxie's protector, so it's like being guarded by a world altering fucker with anger management, and then having them summon an even bigger motherfucker who gets stronger the more he's pissed with even worse anger management. Yeahhh... He's gonna be fine, worry about the other fucker.

I have realized do to my inability to think in images, I have met a fucking roadblock in the writing. Fooie. I have not forgotten it.

I couldn't have put it better myself. The authors don't often let characters to breathe and tango with their emotions / trauma because it's definitely less visually stimulating than having cool power up and fight scenes, so as a result the fans only know death as the only way to make a story dark or interesting.

I really do hope they tackle the ramifications; I do think there's some otherwise Himawari wouldn't have encouraged them to take him to the hospital (but of course, this can also be used pure plot device to get Shikadai/Chocho fully on-board with leaving Hima to fight Jura and/or to prove how powerful she is when there is nothing wrong with Inojin). It feels kinda silly if there isn't any consequences and this is from someone who is very, very glad that Inojin is alive. Maybe I am on that hard hopium for that Inojin arc we never got :,)

As someone who's not the biggest fan of the current plot climate rn, impending Matsuri vs Team 10 fight and Mitsuki remember who Boruto really is are the only things I'm looking forward to right now ><

Just writing out my thoughts about the chapters. Just gonna put this under the cut because this is based entirely on leaks that just came out. I have not actually read the chapter myself.

Will be talking about character's fates and stuff.

As I had expected, Inojin had managed to survive the wound thanks to Himawari. According to the text leaks, she healed his wound (unclear if its a full heal or partial).

So many people are madge and calling Boruto a Disney show for not killing Inojin off lmao. While I think set up to and the fake out death itself was narratively very poor and a little unnecessary (there could have been many interesting ways Himawari to go angry mode instead), I don't know why people are being so angy that he survived.

There was literally too much set up for a potential Asuma-like Team 10 arc with saving Moegi and fighting Matsuri. That was the main reason I believed that Inojin would survive. Inojin's death would have no purpose at this moment. I'm certain if author-san wanted Inojin to die, there would be reasonable build up to it (hopefully anyway).

Also just might be me because I am a huge fan of Kingdom Hearts, but man do I take issue with the whole 'Disney Show' comment. You don't need characters to die to make a story dark or interesting. My take is 'Characters may not die, but they will live with unspeakable trauma'. Inojin still got gutted and even if he heals, I doubt that he's gonna forget what just happened to him. While I don't believe the manga will touch on the post-stab emotions, I am hoping the eventual anime will take time to flesh out the experience for Inojin.

Anyways, yay, Inojin lived, I am literally so glad that Sai was able to keep his son 🙏🙏😭😭

I watched the Gingerdead Man trilogy yesterday. I have a lot of thoughts and I'm on a bit of a tight schedule rn, but I want to give some very brief thoughts.

The first movie has aged like milk. Visually, it's the worst by leaps and bounds. It looks like it was shot on one of these.

That said, it's got the most plot. It's basically just Child's Play with a cookie instead of a doll.

The second film, Gingerdead Man 2: The Passion of the Crust, is by far the best. A self aware parody of Full Moon Features' other films, like Puppet Master, Demonic Toys and Ghoulies.

Also, this film has the best design for The Gingerdead Man

It did elicit a bit of a chuckle when people looked at this thing and recognized it as a gingerbread cookie, while I could only sit there thinking "that is a wretched homunculus. It looks like Pennywise at the end of IT chapter 2. Vile. Horrid."

Somehow it looks worse in the third film. Considerably worse.

This film also features a Hannibal Lector parody, a time travel plot line, and a roller disco Carrie subplot. The ending of this film has to be seen to be believed, but let's just say: "Gingerdead Man, meet... Adolf Hitler!"

All things considered, the Gingerdead movies prove to be entertaining schlock, and exist in the same universe as the Evil Bong films. Let's see how Gingy looks over there.

do you have any thoughts on visual typing? specially for IV?

For IVs, as of now it is unreliable. To begin with, the notion of IVs is still badly defined, as its definition considerably differ from one community to another. And by definition I don't just mean what is meant by "Social", "Sexual", and "Self-preservation" but also largely what are instinctual variants ; what composes them, how do they manifest, what are they used for, what is their utility, and then what is meant by each variants, what distinguish each of them... And so on. Some of those notions are blurry and some other simply differ, because the fundamental notions are blurry or non existent.

So, establishing visual cues for already poorly defined concepts become nearly impossible. Tho, I do think there is something potable to exploit when it comes to visual typing, but it would be essential to refine the concepts themselves. The best would be to be able to capture evidences of said concepts through something like visual typing and defining from those manifestions, in order to find repetition and coherence that would prove their existence and delineate them.

I know for a fact visual typing systems have potential. It is proving itself rn through the paradigm of "CT". Tho, there is still refinement to be done, as any theory that still need to be processed through scientific methods.

In the end, I wouldn't fully rely on visual typing to get your IVs right as it is rn. Unless there is a community that have refined a relatively objective methodology that proves the existence of IVs (aka, not vibe typing bs), IV typing will remain difficult, prone to errors and overall, unreliable.

Sooooooooooo yesterday was a fun day for sci-fi, huh?

Picard S2 - was it good? No! Did I enjoy it way more than S1? Absolutely! God it was so much more fun!

Overall I'm very pleased with where the characters all ended up. I'm not gonna say too much rn in case a lot of people haven't seen it yet, but I think they generally tied it up ok?

I do find it INFINITELY FUNNY that, after a season of never finishing an episode arc satisfyingly without an arbitrary cliffhanger, they finished the finale BY ADDING A SURPRISE NEW PLOT POINT TO DRAW OVER INTO SEASON 3...that honestly flips over into high camp, so sure, go off 🤷‍♂️

Strange New Worlds - was THAT good? YEEEEAH BAYBEEEEE 😎😎😎 That shit is DUMB and I LIKE IT!

Pike is still hot (actually he's got hotter) and all of the side characters are promising so far. I like that they went straight in with a classic bio-disguise episode, and it's nice to see them commit to the time period by having it be a new and imperfect process.

Also shoutout to the Medical Girlies™ - constantly proving to be the funniest members of Starfleet.

I do wish they'd, like, buff some surfaces in the Enterprise though. Don't get me wrong, I get it - shiny = new, shiny = futuristic and space-age - but it's honestly just visually distracting. I can tell that from a production-standpoint, they wanna take advantage of their fancy new screen-wall and have the warp effect reflect off the floors and shit, and as a visual design heaux I respect that...but it just doesn't look good.

Also some of the sets feel slightly too big imo - engineering/the warp drive room looked like it stretched on for MILES, and whilst it kinda makes sense, it doesn't have the same sense of character that the more intimate older sets do.

Buuuuut also this is also literally the first episode, so I'll shut my piehole and focus on the fact that so far I'm VERY into the show!

As much as I want there to be new material for OK KO, I'd always figure I would've be able to prep myself up as a fanartist before working my way into the industry but I guess I'm not even good at that. One of the few opportunities I took the time out of my day to set up for myself, something I looked so excitedly for, something that gave me a brighter tommorow, is fucking GONE rn (if I don't kms as soon as this is posted then I'll be glad to come up with at least special of some sort to make up for it and rewrite a bit if needed) all these ideas about bringing change to the table really stuck in my head, I felt like I could get somewhere somewhere with them given than I had the artistic training and experience. But the hard truth is that reality doesn't fucking wait for you. If your one of the "r*tarded ones" then your only purpose on life is to continuously be fucked over if it ends up being an actual thing right now, I'm probably gonna kill myself as soon as news is posted about so I don't have to live in shame of broken promises. You might go ahead and ask "Can't you focus on your original content instead? 'Unsolicited pitches' are illegal you know"... But the thing is, even as a showrunner, ideas and concepts could go wrong or into development hell. I still want to push forward with these concepts even if they never make it to the final screen (if at all!). By envisioning myself genuinely TRYING to work with media I was the least bit with (or for fuck's sake, someone else's idea to put it bluntly), not only would that give me the chance to hone in social, team-working skills critical to life itself, this incredible vision made me felt like could actually live up to my therapist's wishes and actually prove once for all that I'm in fact, NOT a deranged sociopath that thirsts for the thrill of modern bloodshed. But rather an autistic adult filled with kindness, wonder, and the passion to make the world a better place through the art of visual media. Thanks for the ask! These look like hard ones lol, but I'll do my best.

37. How is your character’s imagination? Daydreaming a lot? Worried most of the time? Living in memories?

It depends on the timeperiod, honestly. She changes a lot. She has a good imagination, and she spent a lot of her early life daydreaming about the day she'd finally reunite with her father.

Once she hit late teens and joined the Seraph, I'd say she was living in memories a lot - it got better after she joined the Vigil and went away entirely after she met Trahearne, and then she was a very present-moment, grounded individual. She can be worried, yes, but more in a sort of 'I'm focusing rn' way and less of a pessimistic kind of way.

It all came back after he died though, and after dying and coming back she slowly started healing, so finally by IBS, I think Marjory says it best after the first strike in Bound by Blood: "Optimism, Commander? From you?" The whispers probably changed that a bit and she got more full of chronic worry - the same thoughts and concerns chasing themselves around in her head - and it got worse the nearer to the end of IBS she got. (It could've just been Jormag trying to keep her quiet and out of the way, but some of it was legitimate concern.)

47. Do they want to project an image of a younger, older, more important person? Does they want to be visible or invisible?

'Want'? I'm not sure. She is aware of her own importance - that moment when she tells Bangar she 'won't let him take credit' because she knows how influential she and her victories are and how much of an inspiration she is. So she very much 'wants to be visible' because that's part of her job, to present a positive front against the dragons despite all the bickering that tends to go on, e.g. during No Quarter and Jormag Rising. You'd also see it in the Commander's speech in Thunderhead Keep and her decision to manage anxiety levels to best of her ability in Bound by Blood.

Now, if we go back to S3, she was completely desperate. She was trying to present an image of competence to hide her own self-loathing for failing again and again in HoT, but she failed at that too, at least in her mind and to those close to her (Dragon's Watch), which may have been a contributing factor to why she ran off to Elona where nobody knew her.

Younger and older don't mean a whole lot to her in general, since she's part-sylvari and even though she's mostly human, she's always been a little advance for her age; her age was never really something she defined herself with. Now, if she'd been more of a social person when she was younger (pre- to mid-teens?) she might have been more self-conscious about her advanced mind and tried to prove she wasn't as immature as everyone else her age, but as it was (shy, bullied all the time, etc.) she was never really concerned about it.

49. What about voice? Pitch? Strength? Tempo and rhythm of speech? Pronunciation? Accent?

Aw, I'm bad at these. I lump this in with visual things (art and whatnot) and call it 'I'm bad at aesthetic things' - I'm more of a mind person.

But there is one moment in early HoT that really characterized my Commander for me in this regard. This was my second time through HoT and I knew how it ended, but Tiffany Commander sounded so confident, so strong, so unwaveringly certain of success that she almost convinced me that things would be alright. I'm not sure when she began sounding that confident, but I'm gonna lump it in with social competence and say she learned it 'sometime after becoming the Commander' and 'sometime before the World Summit.'

Otherwise, she sounds just like the human female PC, because I'm boring lol. But human female PC is bold, strong, and confident - most of the time. The most notable example of a time she wasn't was the famous words at the end of All or Nothing - "I don't know." She sounded genuinely broken, applause to the VA (no idea how the other VAs did it but wow).

When she's not being the Commander - giving orders and organizing military action - her voice is warm and full of kindness, softer in a way but no less certain.

Now. There's one other thing about Commander's speech: she's bilingual. Trahearne taught her to speak Orrian, and while she doesn't have an accent, certain words she'll pronounce differently. These certain words are usually ones I've noticed Trahearne saying strangely - my favorite example is the time Trahearne was introducing Commander to Sayeh and he said "privacy is paramount" - pronouncing privacy with a short i, so [prih-VAH-see].

Now, on Trahearne it's far more pronounced, because he's immersed himself in the study of this language for twenty-odd years, but you'll notice an oddly-pronounced word from the Commander now and then.

Although, speaking of accents, she might have a slight British accent (which all sylvari have) due to one parent being a sylvari and them living together during the years she was learning to speak, although after he left it might've faded a bit. (Being around sylvari at any time probably draws it out a bit more, though - just subconsciously.)

50. What are the prevailing facial expressions? Sour? Cheerful? Dominating?

Facial expression! I'd pass on this except that I've said, repeatedly, how she has lines all over her body and never really expounded on it. These lines mimic sylvari patterns, so - if she were born more planty and less fleshy - they're basically the outline of what her leaves would have looked like. Very natural and beautiful on a sylvari, but very uncanny valley for humans, which is a reason she was bullied so much in her younger years and why Andrew and Petra were never that nice to her. (hey, maybe that can also be a reason neither of us click well with Kasmeer and Marjory!)

There are a lot more of these lines in her face, because faces are delicate things. I know most sylvari faces are smooth like humans', but the lore of that, iirc, is that sylvari heads, specifically, are formed of plant matter sort of packed together and pressed into shape properly. (Mordrem, afaik, don't really have very humanoid heads, and there are no naturally humanoid Mordrem, which means the Pale Tree had to work hard to make sylvari humanoid.) Anyway, these lines would, at least, denote where those leaves would before being pressed like that, and at best actually be what her face would actually look like if she were more sylvari.

And it's all very patterned, very symmetrical, all that cool stuff, which makes it extra creepy. No random lines going in opposition to anything else like scars; it's just eerily organized. It might remind some people of sylvari, but only the most insightful would make the connection consciously.

Anyway: this all gives her a rather frightening look to those who don't know her. The lines gather most around her eyes and mouth, which makes her look permanently stern and like she's judging everything she sees, and her mouth looks long and relatively thin, sort of like she's holding back some stern remark or comment. The business of the lines around her eyes also creates the illusion that her eyebrows are higher up than they should be, as if she's raising her eyebrows in displeasure or skepticism or something.

Of course, Tiffany Commander isn't feeling anything like this; these lines greatly enhance her 'Commander aura' of authority and control, but it can be very debilitating in personal relationships. She tends to get along much better with members of other races, who get less of an 'uncanny valley' impression and therefore find it much easier to look past her markings, especially once they've seen her be in several different emotions and moods and established that the lines are always like that and aren't relevant to what she's feeling.

There are one or two humans she's clicked well with: her half-sister, Deborah, and also Logan Thackeray. Most people tend to have a sort of flinch reflex in their eyes when they see her; either they stare, or they glance away for a moment, or they blink a few times - and that's usually the best she can hope for. People who 1) have been warned and 2) are naturally in control of their facial expression can keep a composed expression when seeing her, although of course they'll still be surprised. But that's if they've been warned first (e.g. the first time she met Queen Jennah).

So! I'm not a great facial expressions person, and I currently am working on a system of 'strangers see stern angry Commander, friends see normal facial expressions' although I have no idea what 'normal' is for her. She might have a habit of exaggerating her positive emotions and smiling constantly to try to put strangers at ease, but I feel like that would be even more creepy. Anyway, maybe the whole 'sylvari patterns' thing was a derailment of the original question, but that's how the majority of people perceive her facial expression.
